Seneca & her husband, Paul, were the best photographers we could've picked for our upstate NY wedding. I spoke with 3-4 others, but they were all short, business-like conversations. Seneca and I initially spoke for an hour about how my now-husband & I met, life, and just getting to know one another. We lost track of time and I never asked her the questions I had written down!
That level of investment, time & energy is what Seneca Ryan Co. dedicates to every one of their clients. They're down-to-earth, friendly people who make you instantly feel comfortable when you're nervous in front of the camera. Seneca was even able to videotape a small, special part of our reception instead of having to hire a videographer. They go above & beyond simply because they CARE!
Oh, and their photos are gorgeous!!!! Cannot recommend them enough, if you haven't found the perfect photographer yet, don't wait - reach out NOW! -

UNREAL. I cannot say enough AMAZING things about Seneca and her husband Paul! We had an incredible day and our photos turned out amazing. I am in awe of how they managed to capture it all (we had a long list of shots we wanted)! I feel so lucky that we have these photos to cherish forever! Seneca was super professional and setup a few pre-wedding calls to review all the details. As a covid bride who had to reschedule the wedding and switched photographers 3 times...I truly feel blessed that it worked the way it did and we got to work with Seneca! After our ceremony and after we took a bunch more pics at a park, we still had about an hour before the cocktail hour and she saw my panicked face that I had clearly messed the timeline up slightly...her and Paul said lets go get ice cream!! And we did, and it was so fun and so perfect, one of my favorite parts of the day! :) During the reception, my husband had said he wanted a lot of non-staged photos- and OMG did they deliver! The dancing photos are some of my favorite photos of the night!! I would recommend Seneca and Paul to ANYONE! Thank you thank you!!!!! -

My name is Ashley and my husband, Kiel and I were married November 2, 2019. When we began our wedding planning, the photographer was one of the most important details to me. Kiel and I actually met with 4 different photographers prior to Seneca and I felt that none were the right fit. Their work was all amazing, but all in all when we found Seneca, and we met with her we both knew she was the one. She took the time to listen to what we wanted, and our dream for the wedding day. She paid attention to what we wanted, and did not try to tell us what she thought would be best. We did an engagement shoot with her prior to the wedding, and at that moment we both knew that we chose the best of the best. We had so much fun with her, it felt like we knew her for much longer than we did. Her approach with her clients is bound to leave you feeling more like a friend, rather than a client. The day of the wedding, we could not have asked for more. Seneca and Paul are a dynamic duo- and beat our expectations by so much. Seneca always knew just what to say when I started to feel stressed out. She is much more than a photographer. I get emotional thinking about how perfect our wedding day was, and now we have these photos to remind of us of the special day. Seneca and Paul- THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for making this day perfect beyond words. You are both wonderful people. We are forever grateful. -

There are almost NO words to express how amazing Seneca truly is at capturing the most important moments of ones life. The instant Seth and I got engaged I contacted Seneca to tell her that I would wait as long as I needed too, to get her booked for an engagement shoot (of course I got engaged in the middle of wedding season), she is kind, creative, charismatic, talented, loving, engaging, down to earth, gets to truly know her clients which then turn into friendship's and ALWAYS putting her heart into capturing exactly what you want. Mine and Seth's engagement shoot was nothing short of amazing (of course) but I can not even begin to tell you how absolutely wonderful she was for my wedding! She was there for every highlight, every moment, down to every little detail that I didn't even know I would want until she captured it! And I can NOT forget to express how well she does at making the guys have a great time (because we all no guys hate the picture part) and making them comfortable and having a great time even while being photographed! I promise that Seneca is the most highly recommended photographer for any of your photography needs! All of our photos have turned out BEAUTIFUL! Thanks Sen! -

There are no words
I don’t even know where to begin with how phenomenal Seneca is. Our story started in a small cafe in Montrose for a consult. The second (I mean literal second I met her) we hugged, and I was done searching for my wedding photographer. She has such a warmth about her that you immediately feel at easy and comfortable around her. Our engagement photos were stunning and she truly captured the love that me and my now husband (still feels weird saying that) have for each other. Then came our wedding day. Seneca and Paul are the dynamic duo and ugh they are so so cute together it made my heart soar. Besides Paul brought me food during cocktail hour so he’s the real MVP. Our photos are beyond stunning and I can’t wait to look back when we’re 80 and show our grandchildren the most magical day of our lives. I can’t recommend Seneca enough LOVE HER. -

Seneca was the very first vendor we hired after setting our date! I have always admired her work, and wouldn't have had anyone else there to capture our big day with us. She was so sweet and helpful as we were preparing, was calm and collected throughout our day, was well prepared, and made us all feel so competent and relaxed. One of my favorite parts was that she also had little gifts for when our flower girl and ring bearer took pictures too! We woke up the next day to two previews, and only had to wait TWO weeks to get our full gallery. Everyone who has seen our gallery and photos is entirely impressed, and we cannot wait to continue sharing her hard work with others. We are looking forward to having her there to capture our future big life moments throughout our lives! -

My Daughter’s Wedding
Seneca captured every moment of my daughter’s wedding and the pictures are absolutely magical. Her attention to detail and calming demeanor really made the day special. Where does one even start with how amazing Seneca is? We started our planning process over 2 years ago and Seneca was one of our first vendors we booked. She made every step of the way so easy. She was so flexible with our budget and a dream to work with. From engagement photos to our wedding I couldn’t have asked for a better quality experience. Seneca’s relaxed personality and professionalism is amazing. On our wedding day Seneca and Paul came in and did their thing without asking me anything. Everything we imagined!

My fiancé was hesitant to have an engagement photo shoot, so I tried to make it as easy as possible by making it fishing-themed. I knew that if he was going to have a genuine smile, it was going to be while holding a fishing pole. Seneca got my vision, & captured it PERFECTLY. We took some photos dressed up, but our most favorite ones are him in his cutoff flannel & me in my overalls fishing at the lake we met at. She captured our real life & love better than I could have dreamed & made it so easy & natural, even for him who doesn’t like pictures taken. I treasure these photos, & Seneca far exceeded my hopes! -

Wedding day can be stressful with all of the details coming together at the same time you want to be fully present with your daughter on her special day. Seneca’s presence was professional, helpful and calming. She captured all of the feelings and emotions of the entire day perfectly. Beautiful Photos!
Seneca and Paul shot our wedding and it was beautiful! I was apprehensive before the day of because I didn’t have the opportunity to talk to Seneca and prepare as much as I felt like I needed to. We also chose not to do an engagement shoot because of the chaos around the COVID-19 pandemic, so I didn’t meet them in person until the day of. (Scary, right? No!) Once Seneca and Paul got there, everything ran so smoothly! My husband and I are not the best in front of the camera, but Seneca made it so easy and gave great, simple directions. Plus, my family tends not to listen well, but she handled them well during the family formal photos and I got a picture with every family member that I could imagine. Seneca made sure to even get shots that I did not think of, but I’m glad I have them now! The best part was that the pictures came in so quickly! I’ve heard horror stories from people that had to wait 6 months – 1 year for their photos from other photographers and we didn’t even have to wait 2 weeks!!! I would definitely use Seneca again in the future. -

Tara Sent on 12/14/2016Seneca is definitely a sweet person! She has a positive attitude, kind demeanor, uplifting personality and all around generous behavior about her. She's willing to go with the flow and do what works best for you or your family. Although we think she's fun to be around, we found that for us, she didn't quite have the experience or fast-paced attitude we were truly seeking. We are less than pleased with what we received. There are a few nice shots, but they seem as if they could have been taken by anyone with a decent camera. We didn't quite get all the creative shots we were looking for or the number of photos we had wanted. It seems as if the quality of the photos isn't the best and we feel we should have gotten more for what we paid. The cost is definitely not in line with the quality. We didn't feel there was any creativity or a true personality shining through. It also seems as if the editing was very poorly done. I've seen other work done by her since my wedding that was far better. I feel like if you don't have a personal connection with her, you won't get the best. She is definitely sweet, and fun to work with, there's no doubt about that, but just not quite as experienced as we were hoping for. She's great if you're looking for someone not as expensive as top notch photographers who is young and fun to be around. -
