Dj Marcus is the best! Not only did we love him and how he pumped up the crowd for us, our guests also kept coming up to us to say how awesome our DJ/MC is. He asked the right questions before our big day and he knew exactly what we wanted throughout the night. We can not recommend him enough, he did amazing! Marcus Trollmann was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, he was incredibly organized, detail oriented, and completely on top of everything. We had multiple phone calls with him leading up to the wedding, and he took the time to really understand our music style, the energy we wanted, and the overall feel we were hoping for. He also walked us through every moment of the day that needed music in such a thoughtful, organized way, which made the entire process feel seamless and easy.
On the wedding day, Marcus absolutely nailed it. Every big moment was announced perfectly, everything flowed smoothly, and he brought the exact energy we were hoping for. He was professional, kind, genuine, and so easy to work with from start to finish.
The dance floor was one of the biggest highlights of the entire night. We are still getting compliments from friends and family saying it was one of the most fun dance floors they have ever been on. Our group has been to a lot of weddings together, and people are still raving about how much fun Marcus made the night. He knew exactly how to read the room, keep the energy up, and get everyone out there. He was the perfect hype man without ever making it feel forced.
We are so grateful for Marcus and truly could not be happier with our experience. He went above and beyond, made everything easy, and helped make our wedding feel unforgettable. Marcus was absolutely incredible as our wedding DJ. From the very beginning, we knew we were in great hands. A few weeks before the wedding, he scheduled a call with me and spent nearly an hour going through my vision for the day, our music preferences, and the entire timeline. His level of organization and attention to detail immediately put me at ease and made the whole planning process feel seamless.
On the wedding day, everything went perfectly. The ceremony music was timed flawlessly and all of our song choices were executed exactly how we envisioned. During the reception, Marcus did an amazing job as the host—keeping the evening flowing smoothly while bringing such fun, positive energy to the room.
He was fantastic at getting guests involved and creating a lively, interactive atmosphere. The music selection was spot-on, and everyone had such a great time dancing. We had so many guests come up to us saying how much they loved the DJ and that it was one of the most fun weddings they had ever been to because of the music.
We also chose to add the uplighting package through Marcus, and we are so glad we did. We opted for pink uplighting, and he placed the lights in a way that beautifully highlighted the venue and completely elevated the atmosphere of the room. It was absolutely worth it and added such a special touch to the overall look of the reception.
We are so grateful to Marcus for helping make our wedding day unforgettable. We would recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ who is organized, professional, and knows exactly how to create an amazing party. -

Planning a wedding is stressful; having to book all vendors in advance with no idea how your day will go is one of the most stressful parts. But with Marcus everything is seamless & perfect and there’s nothing you have to worry about. The attention to detail quality of work is outstanding. The music was on point all day from the start of my ceremony to the very last dance it was beyond perfect. There was hardly a time people went down to sit at all times there was someone dancing, including my husband and I, as soon as that dance floor opened we never left. We can not thank Marcus enough for the perfect day. I’d recommend his services to absolutely everyone I know who’s getting married that’s how good it was. -

We cannot recommend Marcus Trollmann enough! From start to finish, he was an absolute professional and truly the life of our wedding. He knew exactly how to get everyone on the dance floor and keep the energy high all night long—our guests of all ages were engaged and dancing the entire time! We lost count of how many compliments we received about how amazing he was.
Beyond the music, Marcus went above and beyond in every way. The uplighting set the perfect mood, the photo booth was a huge hit, and the sparkler towers were a show-stopping addition that everyone loved. His table shuffle idea was such a fun touch, and the personal photo he put on his DJ booth was such a thoughtful detail. Marcus is an AMAZING DJ! He was our DJ for our wedding in November at Villa Siena. He truly cared about our wedding and making sure he followed all the details that were important to us. He even remembered details we told him from months prior. He made sure all of our wedding music was perfect. He is very professional and even more talented. We were a group of 25-35 year olds but he also played music that the older folks would love as well. He is so much fun and kept everyone on the dance floor! We are so glad we chose him as our DJ! -

Marcus was SO FUN
Marcus was our DJ and professional for our wedding. HE IS FANTASTIC! Not only was he very detailed and professional while helping us choose songs, he didn't miss one detail the day of and helped the wedding run so smoothly! Also, our dance floor was never empty all night!!! People of all ages were dancing because Marcus masterfully mixed songs that all generations like. From today's hits, to 80's songs. Our biggest worry was that no one would dance, and boy was that worry relieved fast because it was a party all night! -

We booked Villa Siena as our wedding venue, and we wanted an ‘oomph’ factor when walking into the reception, and Phoenix Uplighting was the best choice we made. We decided to go with Marcus Trollmann (Ray the DJ) as our DJ for the wedding encouraged by many favorable reviews he had. And boy, it was one of the best decisions we made that night. He was fantastic, very approachable and kept the dance floor ignited for the entire duration of the reception. His mixes were brilliant, and we were worried about giving him with a massive list of Bollywood songs, but I think it’s fair to say that he knocked it out of the park. 11/10 would recommend!
We were enthralled by the uplighting photos Phoenix Uplighting had on their reviews, and decided to go with them. It was beautiful, what we were given. We also went with the ‘dance on clouds’ feature which made everything better. And to add the cherry on top, Marcus decided to surprise us with ‘cold sparklers’ at the end of our dance. THAT WAS JUST GORGEOUS! Can’t thank him enough.
Marcus was also very responsive, would accommodate a lot of last minute changes we had, and an absolute saint. You can’t go wrong with him and Phoenix Uplighting. Cheers!

Marcus did a fantastic job lighting our reception space and making a beautiful monogram that was projected on our wall. Working with him was so amazing. He was very flexible. We moved our party from one ballroom to another and forgot to check in with the venue about our original plan to include cold sparks. We learned weeks before our wedding we weren’t permitted to use them in the new room and Marcus allowed us to adjust our order and was able to accomodate. We loved how our ballroom looked and highly recommend him!! -

Marcus is wonderful! He met with us numerous times before our wedding and helped us with all of our details, and even gave us some new, fun ideas too!
At our wedding, he added uplights to our dance floor that looked amazing! Our guests were all dancing and Marcus played all of their requests! Our guests even commented how great he was!! He really helped everyone enjoy the evening.
After the wedding Marcus was kind enough to drop us a note and send a few pictures that he somehow managed to take that evening! One of his pics is our absolute favorite (attached)! Amazing Service!!
Phoenix Uplighting was amazing! They helped make my big day so special by creating the warmth and personalization it needed with the custom lighting. The sparklers and walking on a cloud for our first dance were spectacular! Everyone loved them, they really helped make our first dance so much more special. My husband, Dante Peña, and I booked the wedding venue Villa Siena and our coordinator, Kayla, suggested Marcus Trollmann (from Ray the DJ) to be our DJ for the night with our package.
We met Marcus serendipitously at our friend's wedding and he pulled up our account right on his iPad. This was such a great interaction and we could tell Kayla picked a great person. Not only that, but we got a sneak preview of his abilities as a DJ and we were very impressed. He read the room and kept the dance floor packed.
Finally, as the big day approached, Marcus also offered us his other services from Phoenix Uplighting. We went with the add on of "dancing on clouds" as Villa Siena just recently changed their rules on allowing this feature.
We also communicated with Marcus through email, phone call, text, and Instagram. He was super cordial and made us feel at ease with all of our choices. Since we were having a Disney wedding, this allowed us to be very creative and Marcus was super supportive.
As we were using the software to pick songs, there were quite a few we had to add since they were not in there already. There were also some YouTube videos of mixes and we wanted the father-daughter dance to be shorter. He was easily able to add everything and made us a mix of the father-daughter song to be the perfect length.
Then, finally the day came....Marcus delivered big time. He knocked it out of the park. He was able to follow our song picks and was able to adapt to our audience. Since Dante's side was really into cumbias, he was able to play ones that we really enjoyed and his family got into. The dancing on clouds effect for our first dance made for awesome photos. He kept the night moving along and was able to check in with us as well. He even gave us a special surprise at the end of our grand entrance.
We cannot thank him enough. Marcus was so easy going and friendly. He wasn't overly cheesy being an emcee and had just the perfect amount of flair. Thanks for making our day beyond special!

We hired Marcus for our wedding day at Villa Siena and cannot thank him enough! Marcus was absolutely a delight to work with. His communication is very prompt, responsive, and professional. We opted for the ultra deluxe uplighting package, a monogram, sparkler fountains, and the beautiful DJ booth with monogram. Everything turned out BEAUTIFULLY! The uplighting just added to the romantic ambiance, our monogram was beautifully displayed above our sweetheart table and DJ booth, and the sparkler fountains were a hit with our guests! Everything was perfect, and absolutely worth every penny. We are so happy that we booked with Phoenix Uplighting and will cherish all of it for many many years to come.

We hired Marcus to provide uplighting as well as a monogram for our reception on our wedding day. I cannot say enough great things about Marcus! He communicated immediately and was so helpful in the planning process. Our wedding day was the most magical day, and a huge part of that was due to Marcus who made sure everything PERFECT!! The uplighting was everything I dreamed of, the monogram was stunning, and the music was amazing (he was also our DJ)! We had so many people come up to us afterwards and compliment the set up (as well as his ability to get people on the dance floor). Marcus and Phoenix Uplighting is fantastic!
I’ve been an event planner for many years and required uplighting for a wedding.
Marcus provide personal service and took the time to meet on site months prior to the event to discuss the look we wanted to achieve. He brought some uplights to show the options, gave us suggestions and worked with me throughout the planning stage to ensure the client would be happy.

They really made the room
Marcus was awesome. He answered every question we had about the lighting and monogram and they both turned out better than we could have hoped for. The lighting package he recommended really brought the room and theme of the wedding together and the options for monograms are extensive so you're bound to find one you'll love. We couldn't have asked for a better setting for the wedding. -

Beautiful, Artful Work by a True Lighting Expert
We used Marcus's services for a company holiday party - but I'd trust him with anything. Marcus provided uplighting and a gobo (digital projected image) for our event and it took what was a beautiful space to a whole other level. Marcus was always quick to respond - even when he's clearly always busy, and was so flexible with us. He took the time to use our logo and give it the touches needed to project perfectly, and even had backups available in case anything didn't look right last minute. The lighting was beautiful and was able to be changed throughout the night to suit the moment. Marcus's expertise was obvious as he knew exactly where and how to place lighting and other features to give the venue the exact right feel without needing any guidance or attention from me. He asked the right questions and just did the job, what I imagine anyone would want when planning a large event or the best night of your life! -

Even though he was pretty busy preparing for his role as DJ for our wedding, he still gave us the option of personally making a monogram for the dance floor of our wedding.
