Dream Team

Alex and Daniel were the most amazing photography couple team! Both of them went above and beyond when it came to capturing every moment. At one point Alex even went into a thistle bush to capture photos and got prickles all over her! We have gotten so many compliments on how beautiful our photos are, and all of them are truly gorgeous. The photos of just us, the bride and groom, were so artsy and pure. Every shot truly shows how much my husband and I genuinely love each other. Then every other photograph they took, from the group shots, to the ceremony, to the reception, truly captured the wedding night. True emotion can be seen in every shot. I can honestly say I have looked through all 1,002 photos everyday since the wedding, because they are just perfect. I can't decide which photos I want to print for our wall because there are so many favorites. Will definitely recommend Phoenix Day Photography to anyone looking for a photography company that is genuine, compassionate, and friendly. Alex and Daniel were so personable, we both felt so comfortable around them and were worth every penny. Will be using them again for future family photos.

The best there is

Two words can summarize Alex...the best. She is amazing, she is real. When you are searching for something as important as a wedding photographer, you know what you want and need. For me, I needed raw. I needed in the moment, unfiltered shots that would capture the love that my family has for each other and what we have worked so hard to build. I needed no stress and a little direction. I just needed everything to be perfect. What I didn't expect (but so glad I got) was shots that months/years later, would still give me the same feeling I had on that perfect September day. That's what Alex has given me. She managed to document the most important day of my life in the purest way possible. She is amazing. She recently took some family pictures for us, and they turned out just as perfect as our wedding pictures. Alex embraces each family member, she makes them feel comfortable, she listens to what they want, and she knows what is going to make for a perfect shot. What Alex has managed to give my family and me is very special. I just can't say enough how amazing she is.

Amazing!!!

Working with Alex was awesome! She knows just how to make you laugh and feel comfortable in front of the camera. Our engagement pictures turned out beautifully, but the sneak peek of our wedding was AMAZING! We received the rest of our photos soon after and love them all!!! She went above and beyond capturing our photos, even taking impromptu photos with a rainbow!

One in a million

There are not enough good things I could say about Alex. I really don’t have the words except for she is everything you want in a photographer and MORE. Having her there is like having a best friend for the day! She helped me look and feel beautiful, feel comfortable behind the lens to where I didn’t even feel like she was there. She is truly gifted and creative in her style and ability to create a captivating scene. I have received so many compliments from family and friends!

Beyond Amazing!!! One of a kind❤

I am a hair and makeup artist and I've worked with Alexandra multiple times & every single experience is amazing. She's so accommodating and her Services go above and beyond just photography. There's no one that can bustle a dress like her LOL!! Her attention to detail and capture those perfect moments are extraordinary. Alex is absolutely amazing! She made me feel so comfortable on my wedding day! She jumped in to help me relax at the right moment!! There were a few hiccups, and she helped me stay grounded throughout! On top of the amazing person she is, she creates absolutely breathtaking photos,creating a genuine piece of art. Alexandrea was such a wonderful find. I immediately fell in love with her work on her site as she is truly an artist. She brought a wonderful energy to the event and was so accommodating when mother nature decided to pour for 10 hours straight on our wedding day. Despite the rain, she captured all the love in our day and I can't thank her enough for her professionalism, her creativity, and her light. I will absolutely make sure Alexandrea is our photographer for future special events.

Alex was absolutely amazing. I could not have asked for a better photographer and can not say enough great things about her. From helping me get ready, to her professionalism, her laid back attitude and her ability photograph all of our important moments without being intrusive, she was the perfect fit for our wedding.
She had a few teaser pictures for us within a few days and once I saw those I could not wait to see the rest. Once we got our album, I feel in love with all of the pictures. She was able to capture the essence of our day and took some of the most amazing pictures of us (and our venue), that completely captured our personalities and our guests.
I was extremely lucky to have found Alex and would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone!!!!

Alex has been a pleasure to work with. Not only does she provide amazing and high quality photos, she is also extremely helpful on the day of the wedding. She is easy going, fun to be around and takes care of every detail, including getting me food before the ceremony to calm my nerves :).

When we first met during our engagement photo shoot, we didn't know what to expect and we definitely didn't know how to go about posing for photos. Alex has a playful way of engaging us without it seeming overly posed or fake. Trust me, you'll end up looking like a model without having a clue of how to pose! During the wedding day, from the first moment she entered my house, I felt happier, more relaxed, laughed a bunch and everyone absolutely loved her.

If you want to have gorgeous photos of your important day and still have a person that can help you with all the other details and have fun with her, then Alex is your person. Go book her!

I instantly fell in love with Alex's work after seeing her photos in a photographer's community on Facebook and I knew right then I HAD to hire her. Her responses were prompt and friendly, and after a few long months of waiting (my husband is in the military and scheduling things ahead can be tricky) I was able to have her work her magic on us. My husband is not the most "photogenic" person, but Alex made us feel comfortable and relaxed in front of her camera! So much talent in such a tiny woman!!! We love her and we will definitely come back to her next year again when it's time for our anniversary photos!

We are extremely pleased with the services that Alex provided for our family photo shoot. She not only responded quickly when I requested a session with her, but worked around my family's schedule as well. I put my full trust in her when it came to choosing a location and she did not disappoint! Even though it was late in the season, Alex was able to find a beautiful fall setting for us. She was professional, yet engaging with my young children. I was pleasantly surprised when Alex had our photos edited and ready for us within days. We have received so many compliments on them. Alex did my families pictures in Hawaii at a beautiful area where when we arrived a wedding was taking place. With my permission she went and took a couple of photos for the couple who up to that point simply had cell phones for wedding pictures. That is the type of person she is and I can't say enough great things about her. My family loved the pictures and how they turned out, even though my little ones were not enthusiastic about doing pictures that day we still managed to get some wonderful pictures that show our family dynamic. She was accommodating and helpful and allowed us to be ourselves without trying to pose us every five seconds. Hands down the best photographer we have ever worked with!"

Alex did everything to make sure our sessions were absolutely perfect. Our pictures from our engagement shoot and wedding surpassed every expectation I had. She made us look so good!!! We hired Phoenix Day Photography for our January 2012 Pennsylvania wedding, and if it is any indication of how pleased we were with her work my husband and I are planning a trip to Hawaii just so we can have her take 1 Year Anniversary pictures for us.
I have to say if cliche is what you're looking for in a photographer, look elsewhere! Alex is amazing. She spent over 8 hours shooting and wrangling my large, loud, difficult family; and she did it all with a big smile and a good sense of humor.
Her photography, and flexibility, allowed our sense of humor and personality as a couple to shine through. Everything from mock snowball fights between the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen, to snapping pictures of my husband pushing me on a swing in my wedding dress. She did an amazing job of showcasing some of the more non-traditional elements of our wedding day. For example, I carried a book down the aisle instead of a bouquet; the pictures I have of that book with our wedding rings are among my favorites from the whole day.
I am so very happy that I have the pictures Alex took to show off to friends and to share with (hypothetical) future children.
On top of all that her rates are incredibly reasonable and she was willing to work within our budget constraints! It was truly a pleasure to work with her and makes me want to throw another huge party just to get more of her pictures.

I am so happy I booked with Phoenix Day Photography for our June 15 Newport, RI wedding. Alex is unbelievably talented at what she does. She has been amazing to work with from start to finish. She traveled from Georgia to capture my wedding day and worked with me to find out the type of images I was looking for. She helped me to pick a photography package that fit my needs, traveled to RI for my engagement shoot, and was great to communicate with throughout the process. Alex is EXCELLENT!!!!!I would highly recommend her to anyone looking specifically for a wedding photographer. Alex just shot my wedding in Key West Florida on Easter and did an outstanding job. We have recieved so many compliments on our photos from friends, family and people who we do not even know. I would like to take all the credit and think it was because my husband I looked amazing.... lol.. but it really was because of Alex. She gave us great shots and would do whatever it took... including literally getting on the ground at 8 months pregnant to take a photo. Thanks for making us look beautiful... we are so happy to have these photos, they will make wonderful memories for us!!! You are so talented and professional I really could go on and on :)

Alex is a wonderful photographer with an eye for catching just the right shot you are looking for. She is witty, fun and easy to be around, which makes for a comftorable and enjoyable photo shoot. She has done a number of photo shoots for myself and my family and we have always been happy with the finished product.

Alex is great to work with! She did a photo shoot of me and my fiance for our save the date cards. She also suggested that we make them magnets and ordered them for us! As far as the shoot, she had great ideas on how to pose and she got some really cool angles (we were on a beach at sunset!) of the sun behind us, with us just as shadows. They are such great pictures! It was so hard to decide on just one for the magnet! The magnets were ready in a short amount of time....Overall, I would definitely use Phoenix Day Photography again!

Alexandrea of Phoenix Day Photography is an exceptional photographer..her work, simple stated is unparalleled. She captured a photoshoot of me, my 5 month old son at the time and my sweet dog in a park in Westerly, RI over the winter of 2009. A little disappointing. We were told photos were going to have touchups and the only touch-ups done was the photography logo placed at the bottom. It also took a long time to get the photos. On the flip side she was very nice, on time, and a big help when it came to preparing for rain.
