We used Philly Wedding Films for our wedding in August and we could not have picked a better team for our big day. They went above and beyond for us - Shawn and his wife met us at a local park a month before the wedding day to shoot some clips that ended up intertwined into our video. Shawn and his team were professional, fun, and helped make our day unforgettable. Our final video was so impressive and our personalities were captured so well. If you’re looking for a videographer who truly cares about his couples, look no further!!

They Captured Our Proposal PERFECTLY!
Philly Wedding Films truly went above and beyond for us. One of us worked with them behind the scenes, and they were amazing from the very beginning, professional, supportive, and so intentional about helping create the perfect moment.
On the day of the proposal, they showed up with such calm, friendly energy that everything felt completely natural. For the one being surprised, it never felt staged or awkward, honestly, you couldn’t even see them. They blended in so seamlessly that the moment unfolded exactly how it was meant to. When we received the final video, we were blown away, not just by how beautiful it was, but by how quickly they delivered it. The turnaround was so fast, yet the quality was unbelievable. They captured every reaction, every detail, every emotion, and the final film looked like a Netflix production of our own love story. Outstanding Wedding Service!
As a wedding coordinator with years of experience in the industry, I’ve had the opportunity to work with many photographer’s/ videographer teams—but working with Philly Wedding Film was truly a standout experience. With only a few weeks before the wedding we decided to go with Philly Wedding Film because they were cost friendly and ready to jump right in a meet all the Bride and Groom’s expectations! From the very beginning, Shawn and the team’s communication was prompt, professional, and collaborative. They took the time to understand the couple’s vision and seamlessly integrated their style into the flow of the day. What impressed me most was their ability to remain unobtrusive while still capturing every critical moment. Their presence never disrupted the schedule, and they worked in perfect harmony with the timeline we had established. One of the key strengths of Philly Wedding Film is their adaptability. Our wedding was six months ago, and we just kept getting delayed with life, but we just knew that we had to come back and write this review because working with Shawn and his team was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! Shawn was super communicative from the beginning, and it was clear from our meetings and correspondence that Shawn was learning our events inside and out so he could capture the exact moments in the best ways, and that really came through during our three-day-wedding event.
As for our actual wedding video, I can’t tell you how many times we’ve watched it in the last six months since our wedding, and every time we show it to someone new, we tear up and laugh all over again. Every second of the video was the perfect shot for the story of our weekend, and the music (Shawn picked the music for us) set the right tone for every segment.
When we got the video back, we had to ask for an edit because one of my bridesmaid accidentally got the beginning of our love story mixed up with another one of our best friends friend’s (lol), which, obviously, there was no way for Shawn to know that. But, Shawn was so nice about taking that part out, and he threw in some extra footage so we wouldn’t have less than the number of minutes the video was supposed to be, and got it back to us in record time!
And, lastly, but maybe most importantly, when we were trying to decide on a videographer, we were looking through different wedding videos and chose Shawn because we really wanted the genre he was shooting in and loved his style and aesthetic. We were only thinking about the finished product, we never really thought about what a videographer could add to the events themselves. Well, Shawn and his team were the perfect balance of being super respectful of our time as the wedding couple, of not being intrusive at all to the events or with the guests, and yet, somehow, also managed to bring such fun vibes at the same time! Every time they were filming, they blended in, but when we saw the video, they somehow managed to capture everything front and center. I don’t know how they did it, being the funnest flies on the wall, but our experience of going through our actual wedding events was better because they were there with us. We would book them again in a heartbeat! -

Finding a videographer was easily one of the most stressful parts of the wedding planning process. While we had been given solid recommendations by our wedding planner, the style of so many videographers felt cut and paste and not very interesting after a while. As an interracial couple with both light and dark skin tones, we wanted a time capsule that felt true to us and that didn't use lighting to fit a uniform aesthetic. We knew how special we wanted our vows in particular to feel and finding the right person to capture that on film was a more daunting task than we had anticipated. And then we found Shawn and Philly Wedding Films. From his warm and friendly demeanor to the unforgettable documentary style filmmaking he uses, all of their displayed wedding videos really stood out to us as unique. With Philly Wedding Films, there's no one size fits all approach to making a wedding video, just as there's no one size fits all to planning a wedding or to love! Shawn really takes the time to get to know you as a couple and outline what your goals are. From there, he uses his incredible creativity to suggest romantic ideas that another videographer might not i.e. our video opened up with voicemail messages we left to one another the morning of our wedding! We can't emphasize it enough - Shawn and his team will go above and beyond on your video and make you feel so special. We purchased a 5-7 minute video in our initial package but Shawn ended up creating a nearly 10 minute video for us because of the amount of footage we had and to make it as meaningful as possible. **Side note from the Bride - I have watched our video at least once every day since we got it and honestly it's taking time away from work I need to get done lol.** In what is an increasingly crowded market for wedding videography, make the easiest decision possible and hire Shawn and Philly Wedding Films!! Great team!
Shawn and his crew did an amazing job! Being in front of the camera was one of the things I was most anxious about. My mother and bridesmaid felt the same. From the very beginning until the end of the night, Shawn and his crew made it almost impossible for us to feel uncomfortable or awkward. They were so good at getting us to relax, smile, laugh, and have a fun time!
Shawn is kind, professional, and most of all, a wonderful videographer. Our wedding film looked so beautiful and featured all the highlights of the day. My 92 grandfather was at our ceremony and Shawn’s team captured such a beautiful moment between us. It’s my favorite part of the video! I HIGHLY recommend Philly Wedding Films. -

Impeccable Day
We had no idea what we were doing and Shawn guided us through the entire day with so much grace and patience. He captured the most intimate moments and really documented exactly what parts were most memorable for us to keep. I still tear up seeing the film, it’s truly an impeccable piece of artwork of our lives.

Finding a reputable and reliable videographer was just as important to me as finding the right dress. I know, it sounds crazy. My memory isn’t great and I often lose the memories of beautiful moments, I wanted something I could see in live action, something beyond the photos. I wanted to see myself and my husband moving around our venue, our lips moving as we vowed to love each other forever. Shawn and his team were a no brainer! I did lots of research and they gave off the best videos we could find, it didn’t feel cookie cutter, it felt personal. Shawn and I spoke numerous times leading up to the big day, the amount of Tik tok, Instagram and Pinterest inspo I sent him must’ve made him think I was nuts! But he loved it, he encouraged it and actually took into account my dreams when filming/recording our big day. Our wedding day! Day of he was so fun to work with, they were just as excited to be there as we were which felt good to us! It didn’t feel like they were just showing up to work, they were showing up to perform, and they did! Watching my wedding video makes me feel like I’m there again and once you’re married, and your wedding is behind you, you’ll know how special that feeling is. -

Shawn & his team were absolutely phenomenal! Everyone was very professional, down to earth, helpful, and provided a sense of comfort & comedic relief throughout the wedding day. We also did not feel bombarded with “needing to be somewhere” (which I’ve seen from others) and instead shared their ideas along the way, went with the flow and allowed us to take control of everything. We received the final edit of our wedding video within the timeframe as promised and when I say I sobbed watching it (which I didn’t do on the actual wedding day), I SOBBED! Shawn and his team incorporated all of the most important and special moments (see screenshots from the video) into the clip and did so effortlessly. Overall, the team was a joy to work with and truly made our wedding day fun, relaxed, and memorable! If we ever have another major event in the future, I will 100000% rehire Shawn and his team & always recommend them to everyone and anyone! -

I interviewed at least 5 videographers before I found Shawn, and within the first 2 minutes of our first call, I knew we were going to hire him. He was so honest, professional and all around amazing from the first phone call to sending us our wedding videos. Even though we had a large wedding with a lot of moving parts, Shawn and his team handled everything perfectly and effortlessly. I can’t emphasize enough how happy I am to have found Shawn and his team. He captured the most perfect and best day of our lives without being too intrusive and did it with gusto. And don’t even get my started with the final product -- the wedding video he made for us has made every single person who has seen it cry because it’s really that perfect. If your thinking about booking. Think no further. Stars and Bars went above and beyond for my wedding. Very professional and creative. Things I did not imagine he was able to do. Things did not go as planned with my wedding vows but he was able to incorporate it in our video. He made my dreams come true and captured our beautiful ceremony and reception.
