Created the perfect wedding cake
From the beginning Pete was amazing. The cake tasting is very informative. He gives you the best options for what you want. He was very up front with pricing and how much cake we would need. We ended up getting a small cake for us and a variety of cupcakes for our guests. They decorated the cupcakes perfectly and everyone loved them. Our cake was exactly what we envisioned and described to Pete. Everything tasted amazing. -

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Pete’s! They were so accommodating—not only with my 9-year-old son, but also with my fiancé, who was running late to our appointment. Pete himself was incredibly helpful when it came to discussing the cake design. I originally wanted no flowers and a light pink color, but I asked for his honest opinion, and I’m so glad he told me the truth—he suggested dropping the pink and adding flowers, and it turned out absolutely beautiful.
The cake was as delicious as it was stunning! We went with pumpkin and vanilla, which was actually one of the flavors my fiancé didn’t want at first—but once he tried how moist and flavorful it was, the decision was easy.
This was our second cake from Pete’s, and they have never once disappointed us. Highly recommend! -

If you need a cake for your Wedding, USE PETE!
Pete and all of his amazing team members were absolutely amazing to work with. From the first call to inquire, the tasting, planning, and big day, everything went perfectly. Not to mention the quality of the product they put out is unmatched. We went with 4 different flavor combinations for cupcakes for our wedding reception, as well as a single tier cutting cake for myself and my wife. Everything was perfect and tasted amazing. He really brought our idea to life and helped make such a memorable day that much better. -

Pete’s Sweets was amazing! Pete took his time to speak with me multiple times to make recommendations that would be delicious and cost efficient. His staff was extremely friendly in store and via multiple email communications. The cake arrives to the venue on the day and we never even saw him come! Our venue had nothing but positive comments about Pete and said we were in good hands and they never worry when it’s his cakes! The cake was beautiful, just as we had discussed and delicious as well! I will be going to Pete’s Sweets for more occasions that I need a cake from here on out. -

From the tasting to the design of the cake and talking through options to the actual execution, it was such a delight working with Pete. Pete was very realistic about design choices and walked through all the inspiration I brought to the tasting. He is a perfection and this clearly showed in the end result. The cake was absolutely stunning and so delicious, we are so happy we chose to go through Pete's Sweets! Definitely will continue ordering from them in the future for all events -

I’ve been going to Pete’s Sweets for years (their caramel Bailey cupcakes they have for St. Patrick’s Day are amazing!) and always pictured them doing my wedding cake. The tasting was very unrushed and informative. Pete and his mother are very pleasant to work with and are great with keeping up with emails! We chose lemon cake with raspberry jam filling and vanilla bean frosting. We received so many compliments from guests how delicious the cake was. We had a smaller wedding so there was extra cake we brought home and shared with family the next day. Thank you Pete’s Sweets! -

If you’re looking for the best cake you’ll have in your life, go to Pete's Sweets! Pete has been my go to sweet spot for all birthday and celebrations. When we got engaged, there was no question on who was going to make our desserts. Pete knew what we liked and delivered! He made us a personal cutting cake and a variety of cupcakes for our guests to enjoy and boy did they! His desserts were the talk of our wedding! -

Loved our Pete's Sweets Experience!
We used Pete's Sweets for both our wedding cake and a grooms cake. The whole process was SO fun and exciting, and Pete and his team were amazing every step of the way. Pete was so easy to talk to, and always answered our questions in full and helped with any decisions we were struggling on. He was even really flexible with things such as shipping the cake topper to the shop instead of us dropping it off. The grooms cake was so creative and perfect, we didn't even want to cut into it! My family has also used Pete's Sweets for several holiday cakes, and they do an incredible job. I highly recommend the shop for wedding cakes or any other cakes you will ever need! -

5 stars! The best wedding cake
Pete's Sweets was PHENOMENAL to work with. They went above and beyond in helping me create my wedding cake. I can't tell you how many people came up to us saying that this was the best cake they have ever had - it was truly delicious but also the presentation was beautiful. I enjoyed the consultation with Pete because he asked me lots of questions about logistics that I hadn't even thought of - he was very thorough and gave tips and advice along the way which was much appreciated and all of which I used - Thank you Pete's Sweets - can't wait to use them again at any future event we have!! Worth every penny! -

Amazing experience from start to finish
Pete and his team were unbelievable from the cake tasting process to postponing our wedding due to COVID to the actual day. The cake was gorgeous and tasted amazing people were talking about it even days after the wedding!!! 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a stress free experience for their special day! -

I first tried Pete's Sweets at a wedding expo, and I couldn't stop thinking and raving about it. I tried them again at another expo months later, and again was blown away. Pete makes the best cake I have ever tasted, hands down. We arranged a cake tasting, and had a good variety of cakes and frosting/fillings that we were able to choose from and try. His expertise in decorating is incredible, and he offered such great input on design and how it translated into our vision. I showed him some inspiration pics I had, and he totally nailed it. We brought fresh flowers to his shop the day before, and he arranged them so beautifully, along with our topper. Everyone loved our cake, even those who aren't big cake fans! I highly recommend Peter and his team, they are all so friendly, and are so wonderful to work with.! -

Pete was amazing through the whole process! He was upfront about costs and helped work with us to both save us money and get the best experience possible when we decided to downsize due to COVID-19. Awesome wedding cake!
My husband and I are so happy we chose Pete's Sweets to make our wedding cake! We got married August 1st so our wedding plans were frequently changing with the covid pandemic, especially the month prior. Once we contacted Pete he helped to lessen our stress. He was so great throughout the whole process -outstanding customer service and professionalism. He took an extensive amount of time over the phone and later in person to thoroughly explain all the options to us for our wedding cake and how to go about everything. Since I am gluten free, we went with a 3 tiered cake with the top 2 tiers gluten free and the bottom layer non-gluten free. I also had a specific request for the gluten free tiers which Pete's Sweets easily accomodated. In the end, the cake not only came out beautiful and perfect for our wedding style, it was also absolutely delicious!! It even got awesome reviews from our guests that normally don't like wedding cake! Luckily, my husband and I had plenty left over to enjoy after the wedding, too! We highly recommend Pete's Sweets :) -

We chose Pete’s Sweets to make our cake for our intimate wedding celebration at Quonquont Farm on September 6th. We are not lying when we say that people are still raving that it was the most amazing cake that they have ever had. Pete made my apple-themed, rustic cake vision into a perfect reality. He was so amazing to work with, despite all of the uncertainties among planning a wedding during COVID-times. We are so excited to get a replica of the cake on our one year anniversary! -

Beautiful & Delicious!
We had the most beautiful two tier semi-naked cake from Pete’s Sweets. We chose vanilla buttercream with strawberry jam filling. Our guests raved that it was the best cake they had EVER had! It was perfectly moist and delicious! -

We had the BEST experience with Pete!
Not only are his cakes delicious and beautifully decorated. But his customer service is amazing!
His shop was quick to respond to our inquiry and he kept us updated accordingly throughout planning. When we finally scheduled our tasting we had the BEST TIME. We laughed until we cried there with him while we went over final details and flavors. He is also honest and upfront about everything when it came to pricing, cake styles, etc.
Then day-of when we saw our cakes and cupcakes we couldn't have been happier. We also received a TON of feedback from friends and family about how wonderful the cake was. -

All You need is love....and cupcakes
Pete and his team made our cake, cupcakes, and cookie wedding favors for our big day. We originally were not going to have edible favors originally but once we tried his cookies we were hooked! These cookies are out of this world!!! I have tried what is supposedly some of the best cookies from oversized boutique style bakeries in NYC and let me tell you, they don't hold a candle to Pete's. This man is a hidden gem!
Our cake and cupcakes were all wonderful and delicious. We had a lot of friends in the culinary world come to our wedding and more than a few of them asked which bakery made the amazing cupcakes!
My only complaint is that Pete's tempting array of goodies at the bakery made it impossible to stay on my wedding diet! We could never leave the shop empty handed after a meeting.
Thanks Pete! You've got a new pair of customers for life! -

Highly Recommend!!
Pete was detailed and responsive throughout our planning process. He took the time to meet with us a couple of times to review the details of what we wanted, as he truly cared about creating the cake we envisioned. Our guests complimented our beautiful cake throughout the evening and it was more than I could have imagined. His cakes are extremely delicious! After attending his cake tasting prior to our wedding, we had decided we were going to begin ordering our family birthday and event cakes through Pete! -

Wonderful Wedding
Pete was amazing to work with. We had a small number of guests, plus we needed a specialty (gluten free) layer. He came up with a gorgeous design, and the cake was absolutely outstanding as well as beautiful. Our guests loved the cake, and I was so excited to have delicious gluten free cake that I could enjoy at my own wedding. He met with us for a tasting, was very communicative regarding our options artistically as well as pricing, and was extremely responsive when we decided to change something. I can't say enough positive things! -

I cannot say enough good things about Pete’s Sweets and his delicious cakes and cupcakes. We ordered a grooms cake, wedding cake, and chocolate vegan cupcakes from them. I would highly recommend Pete's Sweets to anyone who needs a cake for an event. This place is a real gem -- The proprietor Pete is a genuine pleasure to work with, and is extremely knowledgeable about his craft. He clearly has an artist's passion for baking, and takes the quality of his products very seriously. My wife and I ordered our wedding cake from Pete's Sweets, and Pete was entertaining and helpful at every step of the way. Every single wedding vendor we worked with had heard of Pete, and had nothing but glowing recommendations for him. He delivered our cake right on time, and it looked incredible. Also, it was absolutely the best wedding cake I've ever tasted, hands down. We got comments all night long about how good the cake was, which I have never seen happen at a wedding before. I could not be happier with the service we got from Pete, and I would work with him again in a heartbeat. -

Pete was wonderful to work with when planning our January 19th wedding. We were coming from out of state and able to set up a meeting with him well in advance to do a cake tasting. For our tasting, he had a sample of cupcakes and frosting for us to try. All were delicious! He was friendly, informative, professional, and really funny. He made our cake tasting a fun and relaxing experience. As we got closer to the big day, he was very easy to communicate with about guest count, flowers for a topper, a cake box for leftovers, and delivery. On the day of, our cake looked amazing and tasted even better. We are so happy we went with Pete's Sweets for our wedding! -

At the tasting I expressed how I had always dreamed of a chocolate wedding cake (my favorite) and he not only encouraged it, but made it come true! I went with chocolate cake with chocolate frosting on the outside and peanut butter frosting in the middle. Pete suggested vanilla cupcakes with vanilla frosting for those who don’t like chocolate?! And it was the right move!! My guests are still raving about my beyond perfect cake. I wish I could say there would be some leftover to enjoy on our 1 year anniversary, but I ate whatever was left as soon as possible!

Pete is easily the highlight of my "vendor" experience from my wedding. He is such a nice guy, and he really listens to what you want. My mother, (now) husband, and I went there for our cake tasting, and we spent around three hours just talking about cake and life, all the while, laughing amd having such a great time.
The cake... I can't...
It was bar-nome the best I have ever had. I am an at-home baker, and I am pretty good at what I do, but what I make doesn't even come close to the tastebud masterpieces that Pete creates! If something can taste gorgeous, his cakes would be at the top of my list. Absolutely, lip-smackingly, delicious!!!
The design and decorations are EXACTLY how I wanted them! My wedding wasn't flashy or boastful, and I wanted my cake to match that, and boy did he deliver on that. It was so beautiful, classy, and it fit perfectly with the rest of the wedding. I just loved the way everything came out, and I will never be able to express my gratitude fully, but if you are in the Northern CT or Southern Central MA area, and you want the best cake ever, go to Pete's Sweets! -

So many people told us the cake was one of the best they've ever had! Pete made the process really seamless from the initial consultation, to email communications back and forth. He even checked in on me the week of the wedding to make sure everything was all set and clarified. I am so happy with how the cake came out and the level of service her provided! -

We picked up our cake two days before our wedding, and he came out and helped pack it securely, which made us feel much more confident about transporting it ourselves! I met Pete at not 1 but 2 wedding expo shows. The samples he was serving were both extremely delicious but there was something about the Crème Brulee cake that imprinted itself on my mind! I called to make an appointment with Pete to order the wedding cake, knowing what we wanted. We still had a cake tasting, making for a perfect event we could take our flower girls to so they felt involved but ultimately knowing our final choice. I originally wanted a frosted design on the 4 tier cake but with Pete’s expertise and experience, we decided that a petal frosted cake in an off white color with real flowers from my florist would be the best way to go. If it was too hot, the design would melt. Too cold, the cake would taste the way it should. I never realized there was so much to a wedding cake, but Pete is the expert! I appreciate the time and quality but in and I’m telling you, you will too! -
