Pete saved my wedding!
If you are looking for a Houston DJ, HIRE PETES MOBILE DJ SERVICES. Oh my goodness I cannot express enough gratitude towards Pete!! My DJ got the date of my wedding confused and we didnt know this until 10 minutes before the ceremony! DJ Pete came to the rescue and did an INCREDIBLE job, especially for arriving just 30 minutes after he was called! He was extremely professional and courteous, and just so kind to myself (the bride) and my guests. He was able to find my first dance song, even though it is not a popular song and has never been played on the radio. Pete played every single one of our requests and had fantastic music choices stemming from only a 3 minute conversation we were able to have before he had to start! We met with four other DJs before we decided on Pete. We were referred to him by Eventology and are so glad that we chose him! He did an amazing job at our wedding reception. Some of our wedding guests actually commented on how good he was. Pete was friendly, professional, and knew how to read the crowd. He was a great MC and made helpful suggestions during the planning process! Pete followed our timeline and made any adjustments as needed. He went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy. Our reception would not have gone as smoothly or have been as enjoyable without Pete! We highly recommend him!!!We met with four other DJs before we decided on Pete. Pete was the DJ as well as the MC of our wedding reception on Saturday night, June 28, 2014, in Houston , TX. Throughout the process, he exceeded our expectations, from our first meeting to the end of the wedding night.
He was very friendly, personable and professional. From the meeting we could tell that he was very knowledgeable about all types of music, and that he loved making people happy with music. He discussed with us different packages that he offered, including lighting, and made it very easy for us to pay.
In the following months after the meeting, he quickly answered questions he might have had and was very receptive to any songs we wanted to be played.A week before the wedding he met with us and finalized a working itinerary, including when and what songs for entrance, first dance, last dance, bouquet toss, as well as timing of other reception events such as greetings and toasts.
On the day of the wedding Pete was professionally dressed and friendly to everyone. He also provided up lighting for the ceremony and reception, giving it a very nice touch. All of our guests loved the combination of lighting and flowers of the banquet hall. The reception followed and everything went very well with music selection and MCing. Pete is articulate, and very comfortable and professional on the microphone.
The highlight of the night came during hip hop dancing, as Pete’s alternating lights and music selection kept everyone dancing and having fun, from Tien’s 6 year old niece to his 60 year old uncle. All of our guests loved our wedding ceremony and reception, and Pete was a big part of making this happen. If you want a memorable, fun, and still affordable wedding, Tien and I would recommend Pete to be your DJ and MC for the wedding day.

Absolutely my favorite vendor. I felt so relaxed after meeting him. He knows exactly what he's doing and will keep the party going. I had people complimenting him left and right. Pete is awesome!!! He did the music for our reception and the lighting. Everything looked great and he was great at being the announcer for the evening. Pete is great he has a great sense of humor and he is lots of fun. We loved that when the reception started he actually went and talked to some of the guest to see what kind of music they would like to hear. Pete was always so quick to reply to any questions I had and was always very professional. He does get busy though, so book him early!! He was so amazing! He kept us on track all night long but wasn't intrusive. He was so helpful and would ask our guests what they wanted to hear and dance to. He has a huge selection of music and played every song we requested during ceremony and reception with absolutely no mishaps. Even though he was an awesome dj and played awesome music, he was an even better MC. Seriously, if you want a stress free day and great music that will get your crowd going, call Pete. I have already recommended him to multiple people and 2 friends are using him for their wedding after hearing him at ours.Pete was always so quick to reply to any questions I had and was always very professional. We had so many family and friends remaining at the end of the night, that both my husband and I were stunned. The reason people stay at a wedding is not because of the bride or groom (because let’s face it, we’re getting about 2-3 minutes with each person), but because of the party. Pete knows how to keep a party going. He visited many tables before the reception to build relationships and take requests, (something he does at every wedding), he then mixed the music in such a way that the dance floor was crowded and people were requesting music all night. Dustin and I are indebted to Pete for keeping the crowd around and for engaging with both of us in a way that made us feel very special. Pete is ONE OF A KIND and truly ensured we had a memorable experience. Pete and his brother John are such great DJs!! I had John at my wedding. Everyone was dancing all night! They were recommended by my reception site because they use cordless speakers.
They kept the reception on time perfectly. They also know how to keep everyone happy in regards to time needed for each thing like when you first get there you should greet your guests that must see you right then. They were great helping me plan the night also.
They have a crazy amount of songs on their computer. Our first dance song was an obscure Beatles song from their early years and they had it. The whole night ran very smoothly. Even when the heat from everyone dancing and the rediculously high set thermostat shorted out the speakers John got it fixed and the music going again. Barely anyone noticed what happened.
They did a great job picking the music to play based on the list I gave them and what everyone was dancing to. John did a great job playing the caucaisin wedding favorites such as Shout, the chicken dance, and a Grease Medly. Then we also had lots of top 40 hits. Something that I requested that was complicated and went perfectly was I wanted Hot Legs by Rod Stewart played while Josh took of the garter. But it needed to start at the precise second and it went perfect!

He was cool, and quick with the last minute requests/changes that we had about the music list, but whenever we needed to get ahold of him before the wedding date, we had to go through Pete first. My husband and I are lovers of music and, therefore, couldn't find a live band to play the broad range of music styles that we wanted played. We thought a DJ was the next best route. Pete, the owner, met with us a few times and was very receptive to our ideas...on paper. He wrote down all that we wanted played and, of course, asked him to add in a few songs based on what the crowd wanted.
When it came to the ACTUAL RECEPTION, Pete must have decided it was his own reception, because he played a total of 10 songs that we asked for. Don't get me wrong, everyone had fun and most everyone danced, but it was just a little disappointing to not get what we payed for. He also played the wrong live version of our First Dance song, so -instead of a nice calm song- it was one with crowds cheering and not-so-smooth.
