Gretchen and her team were amazing!

Their work for our wedding was absolute perfection and at a really affordable cost! I didn't give Gretchen a ton of specifics, but what she came up with was exactly what I imagined. It was so, so beautiful and looked like something straight from my Pinterest inspo board. Gretchen and her team were also extremely flexible with rescheduling due to the pandemic! I can't recommend Petals, Ink enough!

Gorgeous arrangements!

Working with Gretchen was amazing! We loved getting the opportunity to meet with her at her farm prior to the wedding. She is very knowledgeable and helped us hone in on our vision. Our bouquets were absolutely beautiful, and the gorgeous centerpieces became a talking point for many of our guests. We were even able to use them the next day for our post-wedding BBQ. We couldn’t have been happier, and we highly recommend Petals, ink!

Gretchen is fantastic. Just go with Petals Ink. Her materials are local which is awesome in & of itself, but her artistic vision is what makes her work so perfect. She's super creative & has impeccable taste. She made our masculine, biergarten wedding venue look colorful & wonderful. She + Lennie were so organized; they have amazing planning software & are super communicative. I highly recommend Petals Ink. XO

Gretchen and Lennie were amazing. I gave them a rough idea of what I wanted (wildflowers, bright) with a few inspiration pictures, and the bouquets and centerpieces turned out absolutely beautiful. They even worked with me to stay on budget. It was perfect and I can't thank them enough!

I do not have the words to describe how obsessed I was and still am with the floral arrangements Gretchen, Lennie, and her team put together. Truly the most beautiful things I have ever seen!!!! They put together the most perfect arrangements and really listened to what I liked and didn't like. She captured the environment perfectly and everyone could not stop commenting on how lovely and beautiful the flowers were. I would hire them a million times if I could!!

Gretchen and Lennie were fantastic. Their floral designs and the flowers they delivered and arranged were beautiful. We loved the arrangements and had a lot of people comment on how good they looked. We can't recommend them enough, and I wouldn't go with any other florist.

I highly recommend Petals Ink. They were the first florist I met with and I knew the meetings I had lined up with a few other florists would be a complete waste of time (one was, another gave me some good ideas, but could not compare to Gretchen!). Gretchen's vision for my wedding was amazing! Her ethics were what made me fall in love. My flowers were so gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. Best of all they worked to keep everything in my budget!

We used Petals Ink for our October 2016 wedding. We worked directly with Gretchen & Lennie and they were super professional and made communication simple. We were coming in from out of town to Austin for our wedding and we only needed to provide a few inspiration images for them to take the reigns and make our vision come to life. The flowers exceeded our expectation and were absolutely stunning! We receive so many compliments from family and friends about how beautiful all the flowers were. It was such a pleasure to work with Petals Ink!

Gretchen captured the exact playful, relaxed, colorful and Southwestern vibe we were going for with our wedding. I had shown her some pictures I liked and she managed to design florals that captured the essence of what I had shown her. Everything from the flowers she prepared for my hair, to the corsages, boutonnieres, to the table arrangements were so perfect. I have gotten compliments upon compliments for the flowers in my hair, especially. I never thought I would be the kind of person who dried out their wedding bouquet, but my bouquet was so stunning that I couldn't imagine throwing it away - so it is hanging in our closet as I write this.

We also rented the chuppah Gretchen has on hand. it is a beautiful wooden chuppah and she used greenery in a simple, asymmetrical arrangement. Note that the chuppah is not very large and it was a bit crowded for our parents and officiant to stand under - just something to keep in mind if you plan to incorporate that standing arrangement into your ceremony.

Gretchen and her staff were incredible to work with. I sent a general idea of what I wanted and they did the rest. The flowers looked like exactly what I pictured in my head, but better. Plus, Gretchen was very cognizant of my budget and willing to work within it to produce what I wanted. Honestly cannot recommend Petals, ink. enough!!

Gretchen was A-mazing! Her flowers LITERALLY made me cry when I saw what she did for my archway. She did EXACTLY what I wanted for my bouquets but for my archway went above and beyond and EXCEEDED my expectations. The job she did was beyond my wildest dreams. Her work at my wedding was by far one of my most FAVORITE things about my wedding. There is NOTHING I regret about working with her and choosing her as my florist. She was extremely patient, flexible and willing to work with my billion questions and weird ideas. Any bride would be beyond lucky to have her and would not regret choosing her as their florist. She can take any vision and make it into a dream reality. She is second to none..truly and there are not enough nice things to say about her to fit into a review! I love her and her work so much and cant wait to think up another excuse to work with her again!

Gretchen did an amazing job!

I sent her my Pinterest board and she took it from there. I had complete and total trust in her selection and she knew exactly the style I was thinking--we wanted thistles, texture, and country-style flowers/wildflowers, and even though it was fall and not the season for bright wildflowers, she was able to make it happen. My bouquet was so gorgeous...exactly what I wanted. We also had her create a crown for our flower girl to match my bouquet and the bridesmaids.

Highly recommend! Professional, on time, and creative! For out of towners, it helps to send her your Pinterest board :)

We chose Petals, ink. because our planner Heather Sorensen at Vintage & Lace recommended them and even used them for her own wedding. It was the simplest process and a great bargain compared to other florists. We filled out Gretchen's questionnaire with our colors, flowers we liked, and the mood of our wedding. Since we were planning from out-of-state she worked mostly with our planner. With just that information, Gretchen nailed it! It was possibly one of the easiest parts of our wedding planning! Everyone commented on how beautiful the flowers were, and my family was thrilled to take home the succulents Gretchen brought. It was nice to have a living memento from the wedding! We also love how vibrant the colors came through in our photos. We would strongly recommend Petals, ink!

Gretchen and her team at Petals, Ink rock the wedding flower world. I wanted something different - something bold, quirky, vibrant and fun - they delivered and some. The end result was mind-blowing - it was more than I ever could have imagined. She has an incredible vision for design and color - and her execution is perfect. It is clear that she is very passionate about flower design and dedicated to making her client's dreams come true. It was easy to work with Gretchen and her team - they are very flexible, always responsive and the end execution was flawless. My only regret is that I couldn't make the flowers last forever.

Incredible flowers, most from her own garden! I used Gretchen for my wedding as well as my engagement/bridal photos and everything she did was incredibly beautiful. She made flower crowns for both my photo shoots and each were so unique and gorgeous, she even gave me a beautiful bouquet for my bridal photos just because. The flowers for my wedding were beyond anything I could have even imagined, we were all totally floored by how amazing they were and I loved hearing that the majority of them came from her own garden! Her prices are fair and she's worth every penny! I loved that she came to say hi to me on the day of the wedding, she cares about her clients and it really shows.

Gretchen and the Petals, Ink. team did a GREAT job with our flowers. I knew very little about flowers, and very little about what I wanted, but Gretchen was patient and helpful, and together we created the stuff of my wedding-flower dreams! Gretchen and her team were professional and responsive, and accommodated 2 last-minute requests from us (a boutonniere and wristlet for two much-loved but accidentally forgotten family members) and were kind about everything. Gretchen and I happened to be in the same coffee shop about 1 week before the wedding, and she made it a point to come up to me and say hello...it was so nice! Especially since we had only met in person once about 7 months before that.

Ok, the flowers themselves...oh my goodness! So wonderful! An actual comment from a guests included "whoever did your wedding I want them to do MY LIFE"...which I think largely had to do with Gretchen's flowers. My bouquet was the sprawling, organic, slightly unruly and VERY BEAUTIFUL stuff of my dreams, and the flower crown that Gretchen and her team created for me was everybody's favorite. I loved it! My friend said that I looked "like the spirit of nature, in the best possible way", and even the groomsmen went out of their way to mention it specifically...it was so very "me" and so very wonderful. The asymmetrical greenery and floral arrangement we had above us during the ceremony was gorgeous, and even the simple mason jars of varied greenery were unexpectedly beautiful...somehow "just greenery" looked exactly right for the venue. The boutonnieres and wristlets were gorgeous as well, and Gretchen and her team were a pleasure to work with. I would completely recommend working with them, as the flowers were perfection in every way....I am even considering to, on our anniversary each year, create a floral arrangement so that I can, for at least a week, be the kind of human who has gorgeous wonderful flowers to look at.

From start to finish, Gretchen and her team did a fabulous job of putting together arrangements that were more beautiful than anything I could have ever imagined for my wedding day! I was extremely happy with their responsiveness to my questions and concerns. Gretchen did an amazing job of helping to bring my vision to life. Petals Ink. are true professionals and masters of their craft. I would recommend their services to anyone getting married, planning an event, or even just looking for a beautiful arrangement. I will certainly be a client for life. 5 stars all the way!

Gretchen of Petals Ink. honestly made the wedding for my mother, and therefore me. My mom is an interior designer and was very involved in the wedding decor (think barn doors magically turned into a ceremony backdrop :) ). She knows her flowers and so when we were looking for a florist she wanted someone who would work with her instead of doing a standard look. Gretchen took one look at a picture my mother sent and immediately understood the entire look we were going for. She made the planning so much fun and by the end we stopped having to have phone calls at all because our answer was just "do whatever you think". I loved every aspect of my wedding but the look and feel she created with the flowers were definitely one of my favorite parts.

Petals truly brought the wedding theme together with such beautiful floral displays which expressed our color theme and style perfectly. All the flowers were so fresh and colorful, everything was delivered on time and Gretchen was a pleasure to work with. She understood exactly what I was going for and brought it to life. I had to plan everything from afar and she certainly helped answer all my questions and concerns and made the planning process super easy despite the distance!

I met with Gretchen at Petals, ink. following the recommendation of a friend who had hired her for her own wedding. I'm so glad that I followed her advice! I am totally NOT a flower person- I can name about 10 different flowers, so I didn't have a great idea of what I wanted my flowers to look like beyond a few pictures on Pinterest. But a short questionnaire and meeting later, Gretchen was magically able to come up with a proposal that perfectly captured the theme that I struggled to express myself. Our original proposal included bouquets/boutonnières, centerpieces (2 different designs!), some aisle decorations, and an arrangement to hang on our ceremony arch. Closer to the wedding, I added a couple more little pieces, and it was no issue at all. Gretchen even went out of her way to make sure that the cake arrangement she was making would fit the specific plate we would be displaying our cake on.

Although the proposal included the names of flowers and the general feel that they would follow, I didn't quite know what it would look like until the day of the wedding. When I arrived at the venue, I was greeted by arrangements that were more perfect than I ever could have imagined. I was gushing about the flowers all evening (and for days after!). I should also note that Gretchen had to separate the arch piece at the last minute into two different arrangements (our hand-made arch was a little too wobbly for comfort), and this was done flawlessly.

Overall, I couldn't be more thrilled about how everything turned out, and Gretchen was a dream vendor to work with. I wish I could get married again just to have more flowers done by Petals, ink.!

I was in love with Gretchen's work before I got married from blogs and Instagram. When the question of florist came to mind, it was no doubt I would pick Petals, ink.

After describing what we imagined and our budget, she did a phenomenal job delivering. On the day of, the venue changed their arch and we had to switch from an outdoor to indoor ceremony, but she was flexible and tried to make the venue as beautiful as possible with our adaptations. Her and husband Ben was professional, easy to talk to, and prompt to email. I would recommend them to everyone and anyone!

Ben and Gretchen with Petals Ink did such an amazing job with the flowers for our wedding. I met with them for a consultation and I felt that Gretchen got my vibe right away. I showed her a Pinterest board with my flower inspiration and they nailed it. Everything looked so beautiful. They were both very flexible when we had planned my ceremony arrangement one way and then had to change it at the last minute because of rain. The revised arrangement looked amazing and no one ever knew that wasn't the original plan. I highly recommend them if you are looking for very down to earth people that will listen to your ideas and then design them in a way that looks more beautiful than you could have imagined.

Before our wedding, my husband and I were about as green to wedding planning as you can get. None of our family members (women or men) were willing to help us with planning and I was actually finishing up graduate school in another state. After we booked our venue, I quickly scoured the reviews on The Knot and fell in love with the arrangement photos of Petals Ink.

I contacted Gretchen about getting an estimate and she was very patient with us and gave us different price ranges to figure out our floral budget. We ended up going with the higher amount and are absolutely pleased with our decision.

Everyone at our wedding commented on how beautiful the arrangements were that day. Our photographer was floored by the decor and professionalism by Petals Ink. By showing Gretchen images that I collected from the internet, she and Ben went above and beyond what my husband and I envisioned for our special day. Throughout the entire process, both kept us up to date with any changes/details.

Gretchen and Ben are incredibly professional and talented individuals. We highly recommend them for any floral creations on your special day. You will not be disappointed!

Gretchen is absolutely fabulous. Beginning with one rambling email of ideas and a few pictures, Gretchen was able to design exactly what I had in mind for our flowers. She is incredibly responsive through the whole design process and has a knack for translating ideas into beautiful design. Her arrangements are truly art and full of in-season, locally grown (sometimes in her own garden!) flowers. Ben was equally great to work with throughout the process and very helpful each time I made a change to our order (last minute addition of boutonnieres, cake flowers, changing the number of tables, and so on). They are a great team and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

It was as simple as sharing a few thoughts and photos with Gretchen and she knew exactly what I wanted in a bridal bouquet. She made it that easy!

Gretchen did an amazing job on the flowers for our wedding! I felt really good rapport with Gretchen when we had our initial consultation. She was very friendly, professional and had a lot fo great ideas for how to make the arrangements beautiful and cost effective. I told her what colors we were using for the wedding and that I liked flowers with lots of texture and she certainly delivered in all respects. I am extremely pleased with the work she did and the reasonable prices she charges. I would definitely recommend her to a friend for any event which requires flowers and if I have another such event, I would definitely try to hire her again. Can't say enough good things!

I cannot say enough good things about Gretchen and the florals she created for my wedding. I was completely blown away by how she "got" my vision and made it come to life. I shared a few inspirational photos with her, and told her various blooms I did and didn't like. I wasn't quite sure how the final product would turn out, but she really did an incredible job. I got so many complements on the table arrangements and my bouquet. She was great to work with - always responded to emails and calls in a timely fashion, and was transparent when an element I had requested (fresh peaches in our table arrangements) turned out to be impossible due to them being out of season. She offered several alternatives and I didn't even miss them on the day of! She was professional from day one, in addition to being an artist. She was flexible when I added a few cocktail table arrangements at the last minute, and always ready to make suggestions to make sure I didn't blow my budget out of the water. I would work with her again in a heartbeat, and highly recommend her! She also has reasonable prices, especially for the quality of her work. If you haven't booked your florist yet - book Petals Ink!

Gretchen and Ben are just lovely. I'll start by saying we had no idea what we wanted for our wedding flowers other than the color palette. From the first email with Gretchen, I knew she "got" what we wanted. . She is incredibly quick and responsive with her communications, didn't hestitate about our limited budget, and was thoughtful and creative with her designs.

Gretchen was flexible and helpful throughout the planning process. She incorporated fabric we were using into the boutineers and bouquets, and everything looked exactly as I had hoped, even without knowing what I was hoping for!

Our wedding was a bit outside of Austin, and we wanted to pick up the flowers ourselves instead of having them delivered. Gretchen and Ben had everything ready to go in perfectly packed boxes, and helped us pack the car so nothing would fall over. Gretchen gave me directions and advice on how to make sure the flowers would look their best for the wedding day, and they were just perfect.

Our family and friends complimented the flowers throughout the night and even now, well after our wedding! I could not be happier with Petals Ink and have already recommended them to friends.

Oh my god, I cannot say enough wonderful things about Gretchen. I chose her because she did the most beautiful flowers for my best friend's wedding, and I never gave it a second thought. What a blessing to have found her! She has an incredible creative eye, is helpful on the day of, and is extremely reasonably priced. She immediately understood my vision and executed it flawlessly (with a garland on our ceremony arch, garlands on my and my husband's chairs, bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces). Hi! I found Gretchen on Yelp and I loved what I saw on her blog. After meeting her, I knew I found the right florist for our wedding. She's very easy to work with and offers so many suggestions/ideas. THe only instruction I provided for our wedding day was that I didn't want any of the usual "girly" flowers. Gretchen was amazing to work with and her creations are so beautiful. We hired her about a month before our wedding and although I was concerned about hiring someone so close to the date of the wedding, Petals, Ink did not disappoint! Everything was gorgeous and Gretchen came back at the end of the night to pick everything up which was very convenient for us since we were leaving early the next morning for our honeymoon. Overall Petals, Ink is a great value and completely worth it because Gretchen is a true artist!

Gretchen is amazing! She is a very talented person and is shows through her work. She incorporated every detail that I had asked, from centerpieces, cake flowers, isle markers, the amazingly lavish bridal table arrangements, and including the jewels and feathers for my personal bouquet at an excellent and reasonable price.. The bridesmaids bouquets and groomsmen's boutonnieres were gorgeously done. If I have a chance to work with her again, I would not hesitate. Who knows, maybe baby shower?..............

Gretchen was the best! She was such a joy to work with. I gave her my ideas for the types of flowers and the kind of style I wanted, and let her take over and I was rewarded with the most perfect and beautiful flowers at my wedding. I wanted a sort of wildflower look, and she did it perfectly. She always responded to my emails and calls very quickly, even on weekends or in the evening. I LOVED Gretchen and the work she did for us!!

Gretchen was recommended to me by another florist because the other florist wasn't able to do our wedding due to having a busy schedule already.

Gretchen initially had me fill out a quick questioner and then met with me to discuss ideas she had and the cost of the work.

She was really good about working within our budget and her creativity was impressive. She really got us and what we were looking for.

Our flower girl was only 15 months at the time of the wedding and she came up with an excellent floral piece for her. It was actually my favorite piece..it was a ball of ribbon with some small durable carnations. The ball had a long ribbon "handle" for my daughter to hold easily, it was great!

The centerpieces and floral arrangements for the wedding party were just beautiful. I highly recommend Gretchen. She is easy to work with and really seems to understand people, what they want and what they will like.

Gretchen is the best. She did all of the flowers for my wedding at Mercury Hall in Austin, TX this past July. Her arrangements were absolutely beautiful and she worked within our budget (flowers for all of the tables, outside on cocktail tables, a bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, corsages, and boutineers). She knew exactly what I had in mind after talking with her for a short while and also had some great ideas about lighting, provided candles, and really knew how to create a fantastic atmosphere. My colors were black, white, and yellow with lots of sunflowers since I love them. However, we also wanted to work in an oriental twist (given my japanese roots) so she managed to fit origami cranes that my grandmother made into the arrangements! She managed to tie everything together and create a wonderful room. Working with her was completely painless and she really just took care of everything so I didn't have to worry (which you definitely don't want to be doing on your wedding day!) If you are considering her, just go with her and you won't regret it.

Gretchen went above and beyond expectations for the MOST reasonable price out of all of the florists I looked into. Her vision for my bouquets and execution were both brilliant and beautiful. I received innumerable compliments on both mine and the flowers of my bridesmaids. Her timely response to my inquiry (just a little over a month before my wedding!) allowed us to thoroughly discuss what it was that I envisioned for my flowers. I was told by more than one florist that the sunflower boutonnieres I wanted would be unrealistic, but the bouts all turned out so awesome! All of my flowers lasted through the ceremony and dancing and well into the next few days. 5 stars on everything, awesome vendor and will definitely refer my friends and sisters back!

Also! (didn't know this went I hired her) but the "ink" part of the name must be in reference to the awesome photo she sent me about a month after the honeymoon of my bouquet :) she also included a note about the main flower of my bouquet (sunflower) that had lots of interesting little factoids.

Gretchen of Petals, Ink served as my fantastic florist for my recent wedding. Her service and the quality of her work surpassed my every expectation. Gretchen met with me beforehand to discuss the look I wanted to achieve with my wedding florals, and immediately her creativity stood out to me. I was on a bit of a budget, and almost every other florist I spoke with tried to talk me out of the "simple, natural, classic" look I wanted, in favor of overstated, flashy and expensive centerpieces and bouquets. Instead of trying to change my vision, Gretchen started showing me examples of things that were exactly in line with what I wanted.

The delivery of the final product was even better than what I had pictured after our meetings. She took such care with assembling all of the displays and bouquets. Everything was absolutely perfect and I received many compliments from my guests on how wonderful the flowers were.

I would highly recommend Gretchen and Petals, Ink for any wedding or special event! The prices were fair, the service was exceptional, and the end-result was outstanding!

The flowers were absolutely beautiful for my wedding. I used fuchsia orchids for the bridal bouquet and other green flowers for the groomsmen. I never actually met Gretchen in person - we did all of our planning over the phone and by email because I lived in Dallas and was getting married in Austin. I was so amazed when I saw the flowers and they were more beautiful then i could have imagined. I received tons of compliments from my guests on the flowers she made. The price seemed very reasonable when i was comparing companies. I would definitely recommend Gretchen and her work!

I recommend Gretchen to any person that I can. She did my flowers and my sister in laws in the same year. I was working with a small budget but the end product you would have never known this...her work is amazing and it is personal which is what I loved the most. We were so pleased with Gretchen and Petals Ink! We used them for our wedding in April 2013 at the W Hotel. Initially, I was concerned that the rustic, succulent style we chose would not mesh well with the contemporary decor and lighting at the W, but it all blended perfectly! I loved my bouquet, the corsages, boutonnieres, and all of the arrangements and Gretchen was really helpful offering suggestions and ideas. Her pricing was fair and she stuck to our budget. Gretchen/ Petals Ink. was AWESOME! She is very affordable and made my budget stretch. She surprised me with orchids the day of the wedding and the arrangements were breath taking. She completely blew me away! Grethcen met with my husband and I took my vision and made it into a reality, she was helpful and made suggestions to keep me at my price point. Most florist that I called could not help me with my florals because they would not work with my budget. I recommend Petals Ink to anyone having a wedding or baby shower or other type of celebration when florals are needed, Gretchen is fantastic!
