Out of all the vendors for our wedding, the first I hired, and the one I was most excited about from moment one was Petals Colorado. I scheduled a phone call with Lora Blair, and immediately she understood my incredibly niche and very specific vision for the day. I wanted a 1920’s Gatsby style upscale garden party feel. My bridesmaids dresses were jewel tones, with the rest of the wedding all white with pops of gold accent. I wanted there to be not a single rose used, and I leaned towards odd varieties of wildflowers, but I didn’t want my flowers to look “country” or “rustic” at all. As you can see from photos, that is exactly what she accomplished. I explained all of this to her, and after expressing her extreme excitement with the concept, she listed off exactly what she wanted to do. I wrote down the flowers she had listed for me and googled them later. I almost cried seeing how well she had understood to a T what I wanted. I called and put a deposit down the next day. Florals were the most important part of the wedding to me, so I did not make this decision lightly. Over the next year and a month, a lot of things came up, and I was forced to scale back the original amount of flowers I had wanted. Lora was MORE then understanding, and was able to keep nearly every arrangement in the original proposal, but changing a few flowers, and scaling everything down the tiniest bit.
All this lengthy review to say, HIRE PETALS COLORADO. They are so so very budget friendly, kind, insanely talented, and helpful beyond measure. When I look through pictures, I see arrangements that exceeded my wildest dreams for wedding flowers (and trust me that is very much saying something). When the flowers were delivered, my wedding party gasped, as I know the guests did as they arrived, give your guests the same experience, choose Lora at Petals Colorado!!! -

Lora and Howard embody the rare combination of delivering a beautiful product and exceptional service at a reasonable cost while remaining flexible, incredibly nice and down to earth. Lora and Howard stuck with us through two COVID postponements and and worked with us to find creative ways to stay close to our original budget despite the insane effect inflation had on florals since our first meeting before the pandemic.
And Lora's work is stunning. It was truly wonderful to walk into our wedding and see the vision I had been carrying around in my head for many many months executed beyond my expectations. -

We had a wonderful experience working with Nancy for our same-sex wedding! After being delayed a year and facing a shortage of some of the flowers we wanted, she was flexible and worked with our vision and budget. For our November wedding we wanted lots of fresh greenery to go with our candles and lanterns, and it was all gorgeous! She offered us lots of great suggestions and really helped us figure out what we wanted. She designed large planters for our ceremony area that were amazing and created beautiful decor to go up the staircase at our venue. We loved it all and would recommend her to anyone! -

Lora & Howard did an AMAZING job with our flowers! They're such kind people too and I really enjoyed working with them. When I initially met with them, I showed Lora photos of what I envisioned. I saw her face light up with ideas. It was so clear that she's doing what she loves and that showed on our wedding day. They exceeded my expectations with stunning flowers (and stayed within our budget)! We couldn't have been happier with how our wedding turned out and the gorgeous flowers were a huge part of that. Definitely recommend working with them! -

Lora was wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend her floral services. From the start, it's important to try to have a budget set, and she'll do what she can to provide options within that. She was very easy to work with and always prompt in her communication via email. I didn't see her on the day-of (as my coordinator helped with meeting all the vendors), but I think she showed up on time and got everything set up smoothly. The bridal and bridesmaid bouquets were so beautiful and everything looked very fresh! The only thing - I think the flower girls' petals were missing from the order on the day-of, so my coordinator was left scrambling (but figured something out). Other than that, would highly recommend using her services - especially compared to other vendors pricing - and her flowers were beautiful! -

YOU MUST HIRE LORA!
Lora knows exactly what she is doing and has made me the happiest bride. Not to mention she is extremely nice as is her husband, Howard. Very reasonably priced too!
We hired Lora for our wedding in 2020 which we had to postpone to 2021. But we decided to still get married in 2020 with a small ceremony and I asked Lora to do my bouquet for that too.
She asked me to find a bouquet I liked on Pinterest and share it with her. She knocked it out of the park. (See the cropped image).
Then when I arrived on our 2nd wedding day, I saw the bouquet of my dreams waiting for me! (See the full length image) And the bridesmaids hoops i had hoped for. Lora went above and beyond with our florals and they were AMAZING.
I asked Lora to preserve my bouquet from our small wedding and provided me with an awesome but short lived, preservation. When I let her know the flowers lost their color she immediately apologized and worked with me to rectify the situation. She refunded me the money for the preservation and researched new and better ways to preserve the bouquet. She redid it and honestly it looks even better this time! When I went to say hi to her as she was setting up for our larger wedding she asked me if she could preserve this years bouquet, for free might I add. I absolutely said yes because I trust this woman with everything.
You need to hire Lora for your flowers!!! She has our business for life. -

We used Petals for our recent wedding and the they did an incredible job. I genuinely cried when I first saw how beautiful the arrangements were and I still can't stop thinking about how perfect everything came out. Lora was the absolute best from start to finish. She really took the time to understand our taste/vision and created truly stunning and unique floral arrangements. Our budget was relatively limited, and she worked with us to make sure every arrangement could be used in both the ceremony and the reception. We got so many compliments on our flowers and our local friends were battling it out at the end of the reception for the right to take some of the arrangements home. -

Lora was incredibly generous with her time, ideas, and offerings. We came in with a hard budget and she stuck to it and gave us much more than we expected. It's clear that floral design is her passion - she took our ideas and ran with them and delivered bouquets, garlands, boutonnieres, and wreaths that matched our vision perfectly (even though I didn't have the vocabulary to explain it!). -

What an AMAZING Experience!
WOW! Completely blown away and FABULOUS! We worked with Lora at Petals Colorado to put together all our floral needs for our winter themed wedding. What a fabulous choice! Lora helped coordinate the details for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. She went ABOVE and BEYOND to help make all the small details completely AMAZING. I was blown away when I saw the decor and so pleased how she put so much effort into every detail to make sure it was the best. Lora was very professional and completely flexible to make our wedding day a special one. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a Florist who will capture your vision on your special day. I'm seriously blown away by how fabulous the decor was! -

Finding the right florist can be difficult, but once I spoke with Lora, I knew she was going to turn my floral visions into reality! Her expertise in design, color and theme was top-notch. She was able to guide and direct me to exactly what I wanted my wedding ceremony and reception to look like, and I must say my bouquet was beautiful, as was our arch swag, I could go on! The flowers/greenery were in such great shape by the end of the night that we used them at events we had on Saturday and Sunday as well. Thank you Lora and team for being so friendly, flexible and affordable! -

I absolutely loved Lora! She is kind, and so incredibly talented.
I was planning a Colorado wedding from Texas for my son and DIL. Lora was so easy to work with. She was very responsive and spent as much time as I needed and never made me feel rushed. I sent her one picture of a bouquet and from that she designed all the flowers for the wedding. I cannot tell you how incredibly thrilled I was with her work. It was just breathtaking. I never expected such beauty!
I am so thrilled that I chose Lora! I cannot say enough good about her. Just a wonderful person! -

My now-husband and I met with Lora and Howard at a local Starbucks, and we knew within the first 5-minutes of the conversation that we absolutely needed to work with them! They had such a beautiful vision for our ceremony site, and they helped us work within our small budget to decorate our entire wedding. They were extremely flexible when we had to change some counts, and they delivered to both our "getting-ready" and ceremony locations.

We heard about Petals from our Day of Coordinator from All Four Seasons Events, and instantly felt that Lorna from Petals would be a perfect fit for our event! She understood our style and asked us questions to make sure our arrangements were exactly what we wanted. On the day of, the flowers were delivered and they helped get the boutonnieres on each of the groomsmen, father and ushers. They looked phenomenal and stayed beautiful throughout the entire event! My bridal bouquet definitely was moved around alot, and it was still in perfect shape by the end of the night. I have since dried my bouquet as a keepsake from our special day! I couldn’t have asked for a better florist for our wedding!!

Stephanie Sent on 07/09/2018Wonderful! I had a small wedding and it was at the 1940s Ball. I was looking for poppies and casablanca lillies and Lora hit the nail on the head. She told me poppies wilt quickly and used a similar looking flower instead (looked exactly like poppies). She agreed to do my wedding even though it was small (only a brides bouquet and hairpiece, 7 corsages - I didn't want ladies having to figure out what to do with their bouquets- and 5 boutonnieres). She delivered the flowers right on time at the hotel and everything was just perfect!
They were gorgeous and smelled fantastic! -

Ericka Sent on 07/02/2018The owners of Petals Colorado, Lora and Howard are AMAZING!!! When I first started looking for a florist, I was so discouraged at how expensive all of them were. I actually was about to forgo the flowers because I didn't have $3000 to spend on them like every other florist had quoted me.
I actually ran across Petals on Thumbtack. Lora contacted me and asked what all I was wanting. Once I sent her what I wanted and got a price back from her, I was shocked. They are very reasonably priced. After working through all the details, I decided I wanted to book them for my wedding.
My husband and I had our initial consultation with them at a coffee shop. From the very beginning they just made us feel like we were being very well taken care of. They both made sure to keep asking what my husband and I wanted. To be honest, I didn't know a whole lot about the flowers and what I wanted, but they made sure to show me pictures and talk about everything before making our final decisions. Throughout the entire process, I communicated with Lora and she was very fast and responsive. We had to make some changes along the way and she was very accommodating.
A week before my wedding (When all the wedding stress is happening) I get an email from Lora saying that she would like to create my center pieces for me. My bridesmaids and I were planning on doing this the day before the wedding, just to try and cut cost. This was the biggest stress reliever of the entire wedding.
The day of, Lora and Howard showed up exactly when they said they would. Our flowers were AMAZING! They went above and beyond and did way more than we had asked for. They did our floral decorations on the gazebo, our bouquets, the center pieces, all boutonnieres and corsages and the prettiest flower crowns for my flower girls.
I cannot say enough about Lora and Howard. They are truly down to earth people. We were taken care of the entire time and they are very reasonably priced. I highly recommend them!! -

Megan Sent on 04/06/2018Petals Colorado was hands down the best vendor I worked with during my wedding. Lora, the florist, is extremely attentive and "in tune" with her brides. She encourages you to share your ideas, vision, emotions and then channels all of that into her floral design to create something totally unique for each bride.
I was extremely impressed by her knowledge of local flowers, attention to small details and her creativity. She was able to take my vision of a vibrant Chilean wedding and weave in the Colorado mountain vibe seamlessly. She incorporated items like hops, aspen leaves, seeded eucalyptus, rose gold geometric figures, branches and local golden coins from Chile. She also styled all of my bridesmaids with a stunning eucalyptus hair piece and flower crowns for the flower girls.
Lora created a one of a kind floral head piece that consisted of a strand of turquoise beads, stunning blush toned flowers and a blooming rose. It was a show stopper.
The best part? She TOTALLY worked within my budget. I never felt pressured to spend more, instead she used a lot of local and in season blooms with added my my mountain theme. The end result was gorgeous pops of cranberry, blush, warm yellows, and oranges with pops of alpine thistle and greenery.
Do yourself a favor and book Petals Colorado. You won't regret it! -

The bouquets, boutonnieres, and table decorations she delivered on our wedding day blew us away. Throughout the entire process she was responsive, thoughtful, and personal. She designed a personal floral collection for us, visiting our home (The Venue) to get a sense for the setting, and sitting down to get to know us and our tastes. When unexpected storms moved our meadow wedding under tents, Lora brought extra decorations to make up for the forest view we lost to the fog - truly above and beyond. On top of it all, the price value for what she deliverable is truly off the charts. We wholeheartedly would recommend Petals Colorado to any couple looking for a dependable, creative, and caring florist. -

With her long time experience she really knows what she is doing. She is so creative. If you are not sure what you want she will nail it! Lora her self is a great bouquet of personality to work with; professional, extremely relatable, sweet and personal. She not only dose her job but she puts her soul and life in to those bouquets that look amazing all day long. Its the little things that make a big difference and she definitely will high light your weeding with her magic touch through flowers. ;) -

I don’t often leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience so others can make an informed decision. We spent over $6,000 with this florist, and Courtney was our main point of contact throughout the process. I was very clear about my expectations and even requested visuals ahead of time to ensure we were aligned. Unfortunately, what was delivered looked NOTHING like what was shown or discussed. My bouquet was honestly the only thing she delivered on. It was very pretty.
But when I saw the flowers on the day of the event, I literally felt like crying — they were that far from what I had been promised. The isle flowers were so short and bare, and the arch, which we paid $2,000 for, was primarily just a bunch of leaves with the metal showing through! She forgot the flowers I had asked to be placed on the welcome sign, and the corsages for the women were just plain ugly. After expressing my disappointment, I was told they believed they “delivered on what I paid for.” Hearing that after such a significant investment was incredibly disheartening and, frankly, insulting. I had purchased all the vessels ahead of time and dropped them off where she met me in a parking lot, so they don't have a storefront. So essentially what we paid for was her time and the flowers, which I might add were primarily a bunch of leaves and branches.
What made matters worse was hearing from several of our guests that Courtney was extremely rude during setup. She arrived late and was still setting up when guests arrived. For a wedding day — one of the most meaningful and emotional days of our lives — that kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. It added unnecessary stress to an already full day and left a lasting negative impression on not only me but also others who witnessed it.
I was honestly shocked by this experience because, like many others, I had read the glowing reviews before choosing this florist and felt confident we would be in good hands. Unfortunately, that was not the case for us.
Good business is about more than providing a product — it’s about integrity, professionalism, and care. From start to finish, this experience fell drastically short in all of those areas. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this florist to proceed with caution, because although I ensured every detail was documented and approved in writing, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter because you pay for everything up front.
