On the day of the wedding, she made sure everything looked perfect and that our vision came to life. I cannot say enough good things about Petals by Design! My wedding flowers were absolutely breathtaking—hands down my favorite detail of the day (other than my husband!). They hit every mark I asked for and then went above and beyond in ways I didn’t even expect.
What stood out most was how she was able to capture my exact taste while also working with my budget. She thoughtfully substituted in more affordable blooms without sacrificing beauty or the overall vision. The result was stunning, lush, and elegant—truly everything I dreamed of and more.

Lisa is the best
Lisa is absolutely incredible! From our introductory Zoom call, she was so thorough with her questioning and made me feel heard. She truly listened to everything I was looking for (and not looking for) and executed my vision to absolute perfection. I honestly wouldn't change a single thing and could not be happier! The centerpieces? The candles? The bouquet? The ceremony pieces? She even helped come up with a plan to repurpose the ceremony florals to use for our reception! PERFECTION. Every. Single. Detail! (And believe me...I'm a really tough critic!!) I am forever shouting her praises from the rooftops!

Fun with blues and yellows
Laura with Petals By Design was such a blessing. She just needed a couple of meetings to truly understand my vision, finalize details, and made time to meet after my regular work hours. I didn't have exact photos to match what I wanted, so she spent the time to discuss different flowers, greenery, and textures. All the arrangements turned out PERFECT! They were absolutely beautiful. She truly grasped my ideas and brought them to life. We had aisle bundles, centerpieces, bouquets, and table settings with candles full of blues and yellows. We had blue hydrangeas, delphiniums, sunflowers, tulips, roses, and fluffy dianthus. Full of fun and beauty! Most importantly, she helped stay within my budget and found unique ways to fill the venue. -

Lisa was a true joy to work with! All of my virtual meetings with her were smooth and easy, not over complicated, and she always made me feel like I was killing it with my wedding planning progress. We all need a cheerleader sometimes. I felt she was able to easily understand what I was looking for and the pricing was very reasonable. The week before our wedding, we got some unfortunate news from the venue that required some last minute changes and an unexpected room flip. Petals by Design truly outdid themselves for our wedding! The flowers and decorations were absolutely beautiful at both our wedding ceremony and reception. We got married on February 10, 2024, and selected a primarily white and green color palette for our flowers. We were so happy with how everything turned out! We worked with Laura who was incredible to plan out all the details with - she was so helpful and knowledgeable, especially because I knew nothing about what flowers to choose! I left the reception entirely up to her and she handled everything beautifully. We were so stunned at how wonderful everything looked, and all our guests told us it was a beautiful wedding. During our first consultation she went over and beyond to help create my floral vision. She was flexible with all changes and very responsive. Beautiful flowers at a reasonable price!!
Petals by Design was amazing! Lisa was very responsive and got my vision right from the start. After searching around for a while, many other florists were CRAZY expensive and Petals by Design was the most reasonably priced with gorgeous designs. The transition of our event went seamlessly and we received so many compliments on the flowers and how beautiful everything was. One of my bridesmaids even ended up booking them after our big day for her wedding this upcoming spring! We can’t recommend them enough!! -

I cannot give enough accolades to express how amazing it was to work with Lisa and Petals By Design for my wedding.
She’s has a rare gift of not only being extremely talented as a floral artist, but in understanding the unique aesthetic and feeling each bride wants in order to create their dream wedding.
She’s professional, knows what questions to ask to ensure your vision is being communicated clearly, and has a remarkable eye for understanding the perfect way to compliment each venue and each couple.
As an interior designer, I’m not easy to impress, and seeing her execution of the romantic southern gazebo and delicate aisle florals literally took my breath away. I had to stop to take it in before I could even walk down the aisle!
I fully recommend her to any bride, she will help bring your vision to perfection and is a joy as a person to work with. You can truly tell how passionate she is about what she does. -

Beautiful!!
Lisa at Petals by Design was amazing! I didn't have a vision for my wedding flowers, yet she delivered the perfect flowers. We looked through tons of photos so that she could understand what I like and dislike. The flowers were fresh, and smelled as good as they looked. My parents kept all the bouquets after, and they lasted well over a week and a half! Lisa is professional, flexible, and delivered the most beautiful flowers. 10 days from our wedding we had a floor plan change, and she handled it with such grace to ensure I still had the florals that I wanted. I could not recommend her enough.

Romantic & Soft Classic Vision Perfectly Executed
Petals by Design was great to work with from the first moment we started talking. I was a bride that didn't have a super clear vision, I just knew what colors/vibe I wanted and didn't have a specific set of flowers, etc. I put my trust in Petals and WOW did they exceed my expectations! Lisa and her team delivered my "vision" perfectly and our reception looked so romantic and soft with the combination of centerpieces, candles, etc. Not to mention the bouquets for myself and the bridesmaids were beautiful. Fairytale wedding

Amazing Houston Florist
After reviewing previous pictures of a wedding taken at our wedding venue, I loved Petals by Design floral arrangements and style. I had a virtual interview with Laura and reviewed what I envisioned for floral arrangements, bouquet etc. Laura was very detailed, professional and caring. I felt more at ease knowing that : 1. Laura had coordinated floral our venue several time, so she knew the layout 2. Sent a detail invoice with a floral arrangement and pricing 3. Emailed me close to the wedding to ensure that things have not changed( which they had and she was so sweet and made recommendations).
Overall we had a exceptional experience and beautiful floral arrangement, alter pieces, bouquets that we will forever remember

First and Foremost I am not the bride, but the wedding planner. I never leave reviews but working with Laura was such a joy that I need to tell you all about the wonderful florist and her AMAZING team!
When planning this wedding we interviewed a few florists Laura was our first meeting. The bride and I were so impressed at how warm she was and how she genuinely wanted to execute the brides vision for the day. Laura of course asked all the questions you are supposed to ask as a florist but even more she cared about the bride and was so patient when the bride asked for clarification. We met with one other florist who told us how she wanted the day to go and we immediately hired Laura.
During the planning process our sweet bride changed her mind several times and every time Laura took the time to chat with me, chat with her and put together a full vision of the day. It was so much more work than she should have done but she was gracious every time, truly just wanting the bride to be happy.
One the wedding day I didn't have to worry about anything. Laura came in with a team of 7 and I didn't have to worry about anything. The wedding was beautiful, the flowers were perfect and to say that I am thankful for Laura is an understatement. Laura is a florist I will trust with any of my clients. If you are planner, connecting Laura and Petals by design will be the best choice you will make for the wedding day. If you are a bride or groom hiring this company is the best way to get the floral of your dreams.

Fantastic Job!
Pedals By Design did an incredible job on the florals for my daughter's wedding. Laura listened to my daughter's vision and created a beautiful floral plan to bring her vision to life. Their floral plan completely transformed the reception. In addition, they worked very hard to flip the room from the ceremony to the reception in just over an hour. Exactly what we envisioned for our special day, perfection.
Petals by Design is easy to work with, responsive to emails, provides quick and detailed quotes, and is available for zoom meetings to go over vision boards. I was one of the covid brides who had to postpone the original wedding in a garden in Hawaii to an indoor venue in Houston- so I had to start all over with my vision board. Laura was very patient and helped me sort through all my ideas and came up with a beautiful result within 3 months. Our centerpieces, altar, bouquets, and boutonnières were all perfection. Petals by Design worked their magic for our big day! When we decided to get married out of state I knew I needed vendors who were reputable, reliable, organized, and also fun. Laura met us at our venue and walked through the space to give ideas of how to enhance and elevate. From initial calls, changes along the way, and many many questions, Laura was patient and easy to work with this very detail oriented bride. She was quick to hop on calls when I had questions (even the silly ones) and was speedy with communication. From a simple Pinterest color palette they truly executed amazing pieces, even when it rained ALL day right up until ceremony time. We have received so many compliments on our floral arrangements. I reached out to Pedals by Design through Wedding Wire after first attempting to find a florist on my own. I contacted three other vendors before and they were all a disappointment., due I guess to Covid and the fact that my wedding was Feb 15th. When I contacted Pedals by Design Laura immediately accepted the job. We had a brief discussion that evening, the next day she provided her bid and the job was finalized. Everything I asked for I received. My bouquet and the grooms boutonnière was beyond our expectations and the floral arrangements were beautiful. I can honestly say Pedals by Design has a customer for life. Oh and due to the winter storm our wedding was pushed up a day to February 14th. Laura and her team were still there to set up our beautiful flowers on time and as promised. Don’t hesitate. Contact them today. You won’t be disappointed.Petals by Design's reply:

Laura was amazing! The flowers were the most beautiful I’ve ever seen and my bridesmaids bouquets are still flourishing ... 2 weeks after the wedding! Everything was as I imagined in my head and it was perfect! Laura was the best to work, I’m a big freak about communication and she was always always in touch with in a timely manner and answered any and all questions i had. Laura was an absolute dream to work with! During our consultation, she put into plan exactly what I had envisioned for our wedding florals, was incredibly organized, AND worked within our budget! She had so many ideas in terms of color-combinations, seasonality, and variation that brought the vision for the day to the next level. She was so communicative throughout the entire planning process, which left no doubt in my mind that the day-of would be a success. On the day of the wedding, the arrangements were more stunning and full than I ever had imagined. I had friends’ mothers who were watching the livestream of the ceremony texting me the next day trying to figure out who made the gorgeous bridesmaids bouquets! She came early, stayed late to make sure that everything went smoothly, and just went above and beyond. Very knowledgeable and friendly
Completely took the flowers off my mind for the wedding, felt like I was in good hands. Gave them my colors and picture of my dress, they did the design. I got a bridal bouquet, throwing bouquet, 5 bridesmaids bouquets, 11 corsages, and 13 aisle flowers. Delivered on time and even showed coordinators how to take the aisle flowers off later. Very professional, very pleased. -

This vendor is awesome! Laura was so flexible especially during this pandemic. Zero complaints.... Petals by Design is amazing!
You know that feeling when you know what you want but not how to describe it? Lisa Cushing of Petals by Design just got it. She was able to vocalize what I couldn’t and turn my dream into reality. The final product exceeded my expectations and seeing her handiwork was a highlight of my wedding day.
On our first meeting, I warned her that I wasn’t really into flowers and was even thinking of alternative bouquets. But Lisa’s vision, work product and personality were such that I hired her and have zero regrets. Her flowers breathed life into my vision of my day.
Okay... enough gushing. The short of it is that she worked with my budget, was communicative, prompt, did beautiful work and was one of the least stressful aspects of my day. I’d pick her again in a heartbeat and would strongly recommend her. -

I can't express how happy I was with my bouquet by Petals by Design. I had a beautiful soft-colored cascading bouquet that was so lush and natural-looking. Our boutonnieres and corsages were also incredible - so elegant!!
They also were flexible and worked with me to fit me into a busy weekend for them.
I highly recommend them!!

Laura was such a pleasure to work with during our wedding. She and Petals by Design was a major highlight for our wedding showcase to our guests. Not only was she affordable for our budget, but the work far exceeded our expectations. The bouquet and boutonnieres were well crafted while the chuppah was the centerpiece of our entire weekend. Modest yet full of color. What really helped our budget was the ability to reuse many of the items from the ceremony in the reception.
