Lisa was a pleasure to work with! She spent time with us to go over all the details for our ceremony and always checked in/offered help on any part of wedding planning. She created a beautiful ceremony reading, incorporating some personal pieces that were meaningful to us. She was so responsive throughout the process and helped make our ceremony special. Wonderful Experience
Working with Rev. Lisa Zaro was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Our first phone conversation was like talking to an old friend, and that showed in our ceremony as she did a wonderful job incorporating our personalities & relationship history into it. Rev. A thoughtful ceremony
Lisa was fabulous! She was very easy to work with and so helpful while we navigated how we wanted our wedding ceremony to be. She sent a variety of emails with helpful tips for our ceremony and beyond. We also talked on the phone with her and she reviewed our vows before the big day. The ceremony was curated so thoughtfully, our guests are still talking about how special our ceremony was, which truly says a lot. I highly recommend Lisa for making your wedding ceremony as magical as ours was. -

Such a special ceremony!
Lisa was absolutely amazing to work with! She was so kind, helpful and thorough when it came to getting to know us in order to personalize our ceremony! My husband and I love to laugh and have fun and she made sure our ceremony echoed that! She incorporated our children as well and had a family vow which was such a special touch! The most beautiful and personal ceremony
Lisa was a wonderful officiant. We wanted a very personal ceremony and Lisa gave us just that. She had us fill out a detailed questionnaire including how we met, first date, etc. Lisa provided us with a flexible structure and offered to send us recommendations for readings if we wanted them. She is a very kind, personable, and down to earth. She get’s to know her couples on a personal level so she can give them the most beautiful ceremony they can imagine. And it’s clear she loves what she does. It was a no-brainer booking our photo booth with her, as well. We opted for a roaming booth that can stay stationary or roam onto the dance floor. We started with it stationary and then Lisa brought it on the dance floor once the party really got started. We loved that our guests got to take home some photo strips (which Lisa customized to match our stationary!) and we received a virtual album of them all. -

Wonderful!
Rev. Lisa was wonderful. She's super nice, upbeat, knowledgable, and just an absolute delight. As people in our late 30s/early 40s who never planned to get officially married but have long known we would spend the rest of our lives together, we needed a quick, non-traditional elopement and she made it short, sweet, and absolutely lovely! Thank you, Lisa! We couldn't be more thrilled. -

July Wedding
It was a challenge to find someone at that time because or vacations or judges having court. Lisa saved the day! She wrote a beautiful reading for us which I let her suprise us with. She made our experience so personal. She was a great communicator and she traveled a ways to get to us. We highly recommend Lisa Zaro for your officiating needs :) -

Best of the best
I got married this Friday and Rev. Lisa was our Officiant. It was an absolute pleasure to work with her. Her compassion and professionalism made our day that much sweeter. She ALWAYS got back to us right away and was so helpful with suggestions and alternative ideas. It was a huge plus that she also offers help finding any other vendor you may need along with extras such as photo booths too. The ceremony itself could not have been any better. She got to learn about us as individuals and as a whole and really took the time to make a personalized and special read. For example, me and my husband's favorite band is tool and she actually took the time out to find a way to incorporate them into the ceremony. She read an excerpt from Part of Me. It blew our minds and made it so fun. When it came time to mention my late father I was so nervous I was going to just ball my eyes out in front of our guests, but she knew how to bring the mood back up respectfully and professionally. Lisa Zaro may have only spent a short time with us on that day but it had a big and beautiful impact on our overall experience. I'd gladly and highly recommend her to all our friends and anyone looking to have a fun and special ceremony. -

Rev. Lisa Zaro was the officiant for our wedding on 10/14/18. We booked her early as upon our first conversation with her we just clicked. She is empathetic, caring, and her excitement to make your day special is just amazing. Rev. Rev. Lisa Zaro performed our wedding ceremony on May 27th, and she was such a pleasure to work with and truly created a beautiful and personal wedding ceremony for us. Rev Zaro really took the time to ask us the right questions to get to know us in a way that translated beautifully into our ceremony. My husband and I moved to NC a few months before our wedding so didn't have a chance to meet Rev. Zaro in person before our big day. However, after our wedding, we had multiple people ask us how we knew her and were so surprised that someone we had never met could deliver a ceremony that was able to capture us in such a personal way! My husband and I are both of Jewish faith, and we wanted to incorporate some Jewish traditions without having our ceremony be religious. Rev. Zaro did this perfectly and made such great suggestions throughout the planning process to make our ceremony better than we could have imagined. Thank you so much Rev. Zaro! -

Lisa did a wonderful job with our ceremony. She really understood who we were as a couple and what we wanted from our wedding, which is crazy considering we only met her once before the big day over Skype! She really seems to have a gift for being able to read people. We got so many compliments on our ceremony and it made so many people laugh (and cry!!). I wish I could give her more than 5 stars. We received many many compliments on our ceremony. Lisa did a wonderful job of meeting our needs and truly listened to what we wanted: mixing "our story" with light humor and the importance of marriage. Rev. Zaro was the PERFECT fit for our wedding ceremony. We wanted something spiritual with some humor and she was able to execute that with ease. My first phone conversation with her was so great that I knew I had to look no further. She made our ceremony so special and personal. It was definitely US! It was an absolute pleasure to work with her. We received so many compliments from guests how great the ceremony was and how funny and NOT boring it was!! We definitely recommend her!! -

Rev Joe Zaro was the best! We were so happy to have him be our officiant for our wedding. Even though we did not meet until the actual day of the wedding (you have the option to meet before hand, but we decided to stick to phone calls) we felt so comfortable with everything. The e-mails that we received on a constant basis helped guide us as to what to do next and make sure we didn't miss any important steps (like getting a marriage license, how to change the last name, etc).
Rev Zaro made our ceremony exactly what we wanted it to be. Simple, 20 min, have a few light/funny moments, and incorporate a few aspects of the traditional catholic marriage. They also really get to know you as a couple to make the ceremony personalized like they have known you for a while. We got a lot of compliments on the ceremony and how it all flowed.
I would 100% recommend Rev Zaro!! -

Lisa is AMAZING! I can't say enough nice things about her. Our ceremony (5/20/16) was perfect. It made us laugh and cry, and it truly represented us as a couple and individuals. It was everything we had wanted and so, so much more than we could have ever imagined. Lisa's ceremonies are truly "personalized." Long before our wedding day, she took the time to get to know us as a couple, our story, and what marriage meant to us. Talking to her is like talking to a friend, but at the same time, she is also extremely professional about her work. She wrote and executed what was by far the best wedding ceremony I had ever attended, and I know I'm not biased because many of our 200 guests agreed! Working with Lisa was nothing but a pleasure, and if my husband and I ever renew our vows, we will be asking her to do the honor, no doubt about it :) -

My wife and I found Lisa while searching for a non/multidenominational officiant for our wedding. Lisa was extremely nice and very receptive. She got to know us on a personal level in order to create an entirely custom program. She was even completely open to allowing us to edit any parts we wanted. There was nothing cookie cutter about the ceremony. She knew exactly what to do, when we should speak and where to stand (especially helpful when nerves set in). I would highly recommend Lisa to any couple, as she was an absolute pleasure to work with at every step and kept in close communication about the program! Everyone was raving about how amazing she was. -

Working with Lisa was amazing! Since our first phone calls we knew she would be perfect. Also because she was married at Patriot Hills too! She's so easy to talk to and understood us. We didn't want your typical ceremony and she nailed it! She personalized it to explain our story and included a tree watering ceremony to plant it in our home. Finding an officiant was actually one of the more grueling tasks during our wedding process. We had gone through the process and interviewed with many officiants and had felt deflated because we couldn’t find one that really “got us”…. Until we found Lisa! From the moment that we spoke to her on the phone, we knew that she was definitely the perfect fit for us. She was so real, down to earth and was open to making our ceremony exactly how we wanted it to be. We locked her in very early (about 1 ½ years before our wedding date), but even so she always kept in contact and checked in to see if we needed anything along the way and sent over some ideas for the ceremony and different options for readings. She put together such a unique and personalized ceremony for us that was truly unforgettable and totally US! It was just the right mixture of sentiment and laughter. Lisa did our wedding, and she was excellent! We had two telephone meetings and one face to face meeting. She incorporated everything we wanted to do in our ceremony as well as great ideas she suggested for our wedding to be so personal. She was thorough. My fiance and I had a pretty good idea of what we wanted our ceremony to be... Rev Lisa took it to the next level!
We gave her our outline which included some non-traditional elements, like a moment of silence after our vows and an apple tree blessing. The way she crafted all of the elements together was totally seamless. We didn't even have a rehearsal!
Her words were thoughtful, without being overbearing. Funny, without losing atmosphere. Personal, though we'd never met in person. Our families laughed & cried (happy tears!) together.
We could not have wished for a more considerate ceremony. FIVE STARS IS NOT ENOUGH!!! Thank you so much, Rev Lisa. -

It was a big deal for my husband and I to pick our officiant. Personalized Ceremonies was recommended to us by a close friend of mine and I am so happy that she did! I first spoke to Rev. Zaro and discussed with her the style and type of ceremony that my husband and I wanted. She was so helpful and referred us to Rev. Laurie. After my husband and I first met Rev. Laurie we both knew that she was going to be perfect for us. Laurie is such a sweet and down to earth person. The ceremony that she wrote and planned for us was so beautiful and perfect for us. She wrote our vows for us as well and they complimented the relationship and personalities that we have! I am so happy with the services that she provided to us and we would recommend her and Rev. Rev Zaro was the Officiant for our wedding last week. To say that she was an amazing is an understatement. We honestly couldn’t of asked for a better ceremony. Rev Zaro met with us twice to really get to know us as a couple. When she sent us our ceremony, prior to the wedding, it was perfect. She really captured who we are as a couple. We had numerous people at our wedding tell us that it was the best wedding ceremony they have ever heard. Laurie Kuerlemann was amazing and extremely comforting. I highly, highly recommend her. Everything at our wedding turned out to be perfect, starting with Laurie.
She was having just as much fun as we were and she showed it.... but was still completely professional and didn't miss a beat.
I knew we made a great choice from when we first met at a starbucks a few weeks before the wedding just to go over the details.
I actually became friends with her on Facebook and she is definitely a genuinely good person overall. I am so glad to have met her and to have her officiate our wedding.

Reverend Zaro was the absolute best. She performed a personalized wonderful ceremony for me on very short notice. After filling out a very short questionnaire, she was able to really capture our relationship, and it felt like she had known us for years. She is also very personable and extremely professional. She always got back to me instantly by text and email, and was always only a phone call away. Rev Lisa was able to calm all anxiety we had about our big day. I received a copy of the ceremony ahead of time and she was always willing to make whatever changes, I wanted. Although, I must say her first draft was almost perfect. Reverend Zaro and her husband performed our wedding ceremony together and they were fantastic! We had considered the actual ceremony to be a necessary evil to be gotten over with so that we could proceed with the celebration, but thanks to Personalized Ceremonies it was the highlight of our event! Our ceremony was short, but completely personalized. Reverend Zaro got to know us and took our suggestions and selected readings and turned it into the perfect ceremony for us! My husband and I were both laughing and teary-eyed and everybody said it was the most memorable ceremony they had ever been to (we used a subtle Pastafarian theme). My husband and I cannot imagine anyone else officiating our wedding! The moment we met Rev. Lisa we knew she was the one to have join our team. She was so professional, but very easy to talk to. She sat with us and consistently worked with us through the planning stages as well as closer to the date to make sure our wedding was everything we wanted it to be.
Many of our guests complimented her and said it was so amazing how well she knew both of us and the ceremony was personalized to perfection! She kept the humor in it as we wanted and we had a blast!

The overwhelming amount of compliments we still continue to receive about our ceremony proves how perfect everything was. Lisa spoke as though she has knows us for years, she made everyone feel a part of the ceremony and kept everyone's attention for the entire ceremony with her words. Rev. Lisa is truly remarkable! She met with my then-fiance and I prior to booking. She wanted to get to know us and allowed us to ask questions as well. We felt very at ease while speaking with her and we just knew she'd be perfect to marry us. She told us from the start, we would get out of our personalized ceremony what we gave her, so we decided we were an open book.
Throughout the process, Lisa was very understanding to my OCD tendencies and my desire to get things done early so I'd feel less stressed. She accommodated me by sending things to me early so I'd feel more comfortable. With all of the other weddings she had going on, she still made me feel like I was so important. It was a very nice feeling to know she was there for me.
Our story was beautifully reflected in the ceremony Lisa put together. All night our guests were commenting on the story saying "you get to know the couple, but you never really hear their story." That meant a lot to me because I wanted people to feel the love that my husband and I feel for each other. That message was definitely conveyed. Also, everyone is so accustomed to the traditional wedding and vows, ours was definitely a completely different spin. It seemed to be appreciated by our guests, and it made me happy to know that they saw all of the effort that went into it, not just by us, but by Lisa. She truly made our ceremony one-of-a-kind and completely memorable for me. -

Lisa is most definitely the officiant you want to marry you. We received so many compliments by guests on her personalized ceremony; they said it was like no ceremony they had ever witnessed. She is bubbly, funny, positive, caring, sweet, genuine, and one of a kind. She is a great friend and we were so blessed to have her not only do our ceremony, but to also do a special dinner reading at the reception. It meant so much to have her there and we can not say enough wonderful things about her. Her passion is her job and it shows in all she does! -

Lisa made our wedding day so incredibly special with all of the personal, unique touches she put into our ceremony! Lisa was lovely to work with. My husband and I were so comfortable with her from the day that we met her. She is a warm, caring person, who makes you feel welcome and special. Lisa met with us a couple of times prior to our ceremony, in addition to answering questions by phone and email. She is very accessible. Lisa ensured that she got to know us in order to develop our perfect wedding ceremony. She helped us choose readings and decide on the order and "flow" of our wedding. Lisa provided a draft prior to our wedding so that we could work to make changes together. But honestly, it was Perfect! Lisa is someone whom will remain in our hearts as our marriage grows! Reverend Lisa Zaro officiated our July 4th wedding, and our friends and family have not stopped commenting on our personalized, funny, sweet, and thoughtful ceremony! We've had so many guests tell us that it was the best ceremony they had every been to. Lisa was friendly, easy to work with, responsive, and thoughtful when it came to crafting our ceremony. She really took the time to get to know us, and it truly showed in our beautiful ceremony. We had a moment of panic when rain threatened our outdoor ceremony, but Lisa was a true professional and ready to make adjustments wherever necessary. She even wrote a beautiful poem for my husband and I comparing our love to wine-making (my husband's hobby). We are absolutely thrilled that Lisa was our officiant, and we would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a custom ceremony that will be talked bout for years to come. -

Lisa was absolutely fabulous. I was a little worried about hiring someone who I didn't know to talk/officiate our wedding. However, after the first video chat I felt a lot more comfortable. She was a professional. The surveys were very comprehensive and as we talked to her we got so much more comfortable with her. She was very helpful with her emails and wise words. The survey got us to talk about our relationship and remind ourselves why we were doing all of this.
The day of the event was amazing. She was so professional and hilarious. She took everything we said and weaved it in in a touching, funny way. Everyone loved her. They kept coming up to us saying how wonderful they thought the ceremony was. She went above and beyond for us. My husband forgot the marriage license at the hotel and she went back for us! It was amazing! Something that could have ruined our event - she saved. We couldn't thank her enough for all of it!
I would absolutely recommend her to a friend. -

My partner and I decided to get married (after 30 years!) as soon as possible after the NJ court decision. We were off Halloween week (our favorite holiday) and were hoping it could be accomplished on short notice. Rev. Lisa was very accommodating, very responsive (always answered promptly) and very professional. From planning to the actual ceremony took 10 days. Record time! Her follow up was also much appreciated, making sure all of our needs were met. I would highly recommend her for any type of ceremony. -

When my husband and I got married, we were holding the event out of town and didn't have a specific person in mind to officiate our wedding. After searching for some time and given the great reviews, we asked Rev. Lisa Zaro to officiate our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made during the planning process! We were looking for a more personal ceremony that incorporated color from our relationship, our feelings for each other, and a bit of religion as well (and didn't feel prepared to draft the entire thing from scratch). Rev. Zaro took time to get to know us and our story and crafted a truly beautiful and extremely personal ceremony based on what aspects were most important to us. After our ceremony, our friends and family could not stop raving about what a special and intimate service it was and we truly couldn't have been happier. Working with Lisa was enjoyable and very easy for a busy wedding planning couple. She reviewed the ceremony with us, provided sample readings, and even advised on the required steps for obtaining a marriage license. You can tell Lisa loves her job and is excellent at it! If you are looking for an officiant for your wedding and need help with planning your ceremony, look no further. Lisa was one in a million and we couldn't have been happier with the outcome. -

She provides advice and examples to help make the decision making process easier. Her communication is great, we loved the fact that she sent us the ceremony she would preform in email form a few days before our wedding for us to review. Reverend Wanda was wonderful! She met with us at a diner nearby and discussed with us exactly what kind of ceremony we wanted. She allowed us to add as much of our personal style as we wanted and was just so easy to talk to. Weeks after our wedding friends and family are still telling us how our ceremony was the most beautiful cermony they have ever attended because it was so sincere and personal. I would recommend Rev. Wanda to anyone who is also from two very different religious backgrounds as my husband and I are. She took the time to make note of the different traditions that we wanted and helped us to add our personal touch to our cermony as well. I know that whatever your situation may be, she will make it personal and special for you on one of the most important days of your lives! -

I knew Rev. Lisa Zaro was the right choice for us the first time we spoke. She is a genuinely friendly person who clearly loves what she does. That was clear throughout the whole process. She took the time to get to know us as a couple and as individuals. She is a great listener and wrote a ceremony that had a perfect balance of serious sentiment and humor- as we wanted. Many guests remarked how they enjoyed the ceremony or how it was the best ceremony that they had attended. I have to add, that is quite a feat considering the 100 degree temperatures that day! Rev. Lisa Zaro is a beautiful person and an outstanding professional. Highly recommended! -

Reverend Zaro responded very quickly to my initial request for information and kept in close contact during our planning. She provided helpful information beyond the ceremony itself ( ideas for ceremony, info on changing my name, etc.) and provided just the ceremony we were hoping for after talking to us. She was also very patient and flexible when a few wrenches were thrown into the schedule on the wedding day. I would definitely recommend Reverend Zaro's services!! -

Rev Lisa was a fantastic find! My husband and I wanted a truly unique ceremony with almost no religious aspects. Lisa listened to every word we said and put together a fantastic ceremony that truly highlighted our love and our likes. Guests came to me after the ceremony and said they feel like they know the two of us so much better now just based on listening to her words. Rev. Zaro was our officiant for our May 2013 wedding. We could not have picked a better officiant! Rev. Zaro spent the time to get to know us, allowed us to read a draft of the ceremony ahead of time to make changes or updates, and made great suggestions of items to incorporate (i.e. ring blessing, readings). In the end, our ceremony was exactly what we wanted - traditional with our vows, not overly religious, and about the love my husband and I have for each other. Our friends and family also loved the ceremony. We received so many compliments about how special Rev. Zaro's words were. Re. Zaro was great to work with and we are very happy that we asked her to officiate our marriage! -

I cannot say enough about Rev Zaro! We planned our wedding in NY from New Mexico and Rev Zaro took time to get to know us via skype to really understand our love story. She expertly and ingeniously used the information to form a personalized ceremony that fit both of our personalities and relayed our love story to our guests. With the perfect mix of humor and professionalism, our ceremony was a great success. We received many compliments afterward on the flow of the ceremony and the uniqueness! Rev. Zaro was a wealth of information and support to assist us in our journey in getting prepared for marriage.
The first phone call with her there was an instant connection. She is friendly, warm, professional and gave great advice on how to get started in planning our ceremony. Rev. Zaro was always available via phone, email and we also met her in person to discuss the final planning stages of our wedding.
We had fun answering her questionnaire and relived our journey on how we met and it also helped Rev. Zaro get to know us better and assisted in really personalizing our ceremony.
Rev. Zaro helped us put together a beautiful ceremony that told our family & friends of our journey in a fun and beautiful way. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. We cried, we laughed and rejoiced!

Rev. Zaro performed our wedding ceremony at Greentree Country Club in New Rochelle. She was fantastic!
We got to know Rev. Zaro through a series of Skype chats, which was extremely convenient because my wife and I have unpredictable and narrow windows of availability due to our our work schedules. Our package would have also included an in-person planning session if our schedules had allowed. Rev. Zaro is very well organized and made sure we were on top of things through a comfortable planning schedule (including obtaining our marriage license). She was also a great help giving us ideas for our ceremony and tailoring our ceremony to our preferences. We filled out a questionnaire to help her prepare her ceremony remarks and based on our answers she even found us a reading from the Princess Bride that we loved and integrated into the ceremony.
At the ceremony she was professional without being stiff, which is exactly what we were looking for, and she kept everyone engaged with well-timed and appropriate humor.
We would recommend Rev. Zaro unequivocally and enthusiastically as a wedding officiant. -
