Food & Entire Team 10/10

If I could give 10 stars, I would! We are now 11 days removed from our wedding, and there hasn't been a day that has gone by that we haven't received some form of rave review of the Best Day...the food and food service being at the top of the list of compliments. Debbie & Sara (my wedding angel) were nothing short of fabulous from day one of inquiring about our date. They walked us through the process so gracefully and really helped to ease any sort of nerves that I had about how the day was going to run smoothly and exceptionally. Everyone that we encountered throughout the process of planning our day went above and beyond, and left us with the feeling that we had certainly picked the right place.

The day of the wedding was nothing short of perfect. ALL of the food, from cocktail hour to dessert, was just as good (if not better) than anything we could have found at a top-rated restaurant. The food tasted just as wonderful for our 140 guests as it did for our private 2-person tasting, which seemed to be an incredible feat.

Even beyond the quality of all the food, we (and all of our guests) were blown away by the entire team. Every single one of the servers, bartenders, and chefs was kind, attentive, efficient, FUN!, and polite.

10/10, could not recommend Perfect Setting enough. Best decision we made since deciding to go on our first date

The Perfect Caterer

Nicole and her team did a phenomenal job helping us throw the wedding of our dreams! They were communicative, friendly, and professional. Not to mention the food was amazing and we had so many compliments from our guests on all the above! They really catered toward us (pun intended) and allowed us to customize to what fit our vision for the day. Can’t say enough good things! (Highly recommend the bao buns and the lobster grilled cheese for appetizers :) )

Vegetarian Wedding Experience

We used Perfect Setting for our wedding, and they were incredible. We had a fully vegetarian wedding, and they worked with us to create a fun and delicious menu (and to make sure everyone was well fed and full). If you are looking for vegetarian options, the carrot Ossobuco was so creative and delicious. Perfect Setting has so many fun and different items to make your day truly personalized and special! They also worked with us leading up to the event and were incredibly helpful in helping us determine what alcohol to purchase (our venue was BYOB). The day of the wedding, everything was incredibly smooth, and they were constantly checking in to ensure we were well fed and happy.

Perfect Setting was fantastic to work with. Sarah made the process so easy, helping us develop a menu that our guests truly enjoyed. They were very respectful of allergies. 10/10 best experience

Nicole Sigda and her team was absolutely immaculate. The food, service, communication, from start to finish exceptional. We chose Perfect Setting for our wedding at Merion Tribute House. The food for this day was very important to me and we wanted a wide variety not just a seated serving meal of beef or poultry. Perfect Setting offered food stations of all varieties, and checked every selection off my mental list of food we would like to enjoy. From the bay station, grill station, a potato bar, all the pastas your heart desires, we did it all. Her team even organized platters for us to take home since our nerves got the best of us and our appetites were nonexistent. Every guest was raving about the dinning experience. We had the experience to enjoy all of our stations the following day and we were blown away. If you ever get the opportunity to cater an event do yourself a favor and choose Perfect Setting.

Amazing Food and Service

Perfect Setting just handled our daughter's wedding on Saturday, October 7th, 2023.
The food was AMAZING, the staff was 100% professional throughout the event.
Their coordination with our other vendors and venue were top notch.
The planning efforts with our daughter were wonderful.

Awesome Caterer

Our experience with Perfect Setting was overall amazing. Everything we tried and decided on at the tasting was on point and we found no fault with any of the entrees or hors d'oeuvres. The salmon and beef were cooked to perfection with great flavors. We would definitely recommend this vendor to anyone.

Amazing wedding vendor!!!

Perfect setting catering was the perfect vwndor for our October wedding! The food was wonderful and our cake turned out gorgeous! The staff and our wedding planner were particularly helpful in making all of our wedding dreams come true! We could not have been more pleased with our experience!

Amazing Food & Service

Nicole and her entire crew made planning and the day itself run so smooth. The food was DELICIOUS. I mean it and I appreciated all the small touches to personalize our drink menu and table colors. Nicole was present day of too and was very adament about making sure I felt at ease about how everything was going.

100% Perfection

Jerry and his staff have been been 100% fantastic! from the First phone call to the wedding day I could have not been more pleased and happy with our experience with Prefect Setting. We had a longer experience then most would have with perfect setting due the Pandemic. Jerry through having to change our wedding day FOUR times Jerry was never upset and ready to make our Wedding day special. I would recommend Perfect Setting to any one and everyone. Thank you Perfect setting for going above and beyond our expectation's for the past two years of planning and planning and finally executing a wonderful wedding experience.

Recommend without hesitation

We used PSC for a (large) pre wedding dinner at the Vue on 50. The entire team (including the owner) were delightful to work with. Our planner Nicole was exceedingly helpful and patient. And the food was terrific! Everyone enjoyed, and we received an abundance of compliments from our guests. Would unqualifiedly recommend PSC for your event.

Perfection

Perfect setting is amazing. Full stop. When I say they made my actual dreams come true for our wedding, I mean it. We went into planning not having a clue what we wanted, other than ‘not Buffett and not sit down’, just a bunch of our favorite foods all in one place. From that initial thought, Sara at perfect setting had our back. She meticulously planned out our entire menu with us. Did perfect settings have corn dogs on their menu? Nope. But when I told Sara I would LOVE corn dogs for our cocktail hour, she said no problem. We decided on stations, and Sara and her team customized every single aspect of them. From mixing and matching the food options at each station to helping me through every single meltdown I had, Sara and perfect setting were just an absolute dream. Every step of the way Sara was the calm to this brides crazy - she 100% put my mind at ease leading up to, and on our big day. And on top of that, we heard multiple times from so many guests that this was the best tasting food they’ve ever had at a wedding. I truly cannot stress enough this I would hire perfect setting ten times over.

It's In the Name, Perfect!

Perfect Setting Catering was excellent from start to finish! We found them after our original venue closed six weeks before our wedding date. Nicole and the rest of her team were extremely responsive, worked with us to put our menu together and were very flexible and understanding of our situation. Because of the last minute changes, we didn’t get a chance to do a tasting but everything still turned out great. They also worked with Bredenbeck’s bakery for the cake & desserts (which we did get to taste) and they were also great. You definitely get your money's worth with Perfect Setting and one of our guests said that “it’s one of the best weddings, food wise, that they’d ever been to”.

Perfect Job on our Perfect Day by Perfect Setting!

Perfect Setting could not have been better! Nicole provided extremely responsive and attentive customer service, ensuring that we were working side by side every step of the way. The staff was friendly and followed the decor directions perfectly in order to bring our vision to life. Last but not least, the food was BOMB. Typically food isn't discussed much once the drinks start flowing, but man--we received endless compliments on the quality of our meal. Remarkable quality at a reasonable price. Nicole and Perfect Setting are a huge part of what made our big day dang near perfect!

The Best Caterer For Your Wedding!!!

There are not enough words to describe how wonderful our experience(s) were with Perfect Setting Catering. Between Deb, Jerry, and their team, they helped to craft what was the best 3-day wedding weekend we could have possibly imagined!

They also had the BEST, most elevated menu we could find in the area of Villanova and it did not go unnoticed.

Guests were treated with a full bar and wait staff for our rehearsal dinner held at Meadowbrook Estate, a wonderfully catered wedding at Appleford Estate, and a Farewell BBQ party that everyone is still talking about.

Thank you Perfect Setting for helping to create an unforgettable weekend in celebration of our marriage!

Exceptional in all regards

My husband and I got married at Appleford Estate in August 2021, and we chose Perfect Setting as our caterer. Our family and guests have been raving about the food for weeks. We were most impressed by their service (though the food was tremendous). As the bride and groom, we felt they did a great job at ensuring we were enjoying each course of the menu that we picked. My husband kept joking that they assigned us "secret service," who followed us around throughout the night with hors d'oeuvres and prepared us plates and drinks while we were mingling. We chose food stations (beef carving, seafood, and pasta), and our guests loved having many options to choose from. We were blown away by how delicious it all was. Thank you to Deb, Jerry, and their staff - we would recommend them to anyone!

Perfect Setting Catering was more than perfect!

We had our wedding catered by Perfect Setting Catering. When we met with Nicole for our tasting we truly loved our experience. She customized our menu instead of giving us a package and telling us to pick from it or pay to change. It was definitely different planning a wedding during a pandemic, but Nicole and Perfect Setting were so friendly, flexible and accommodating. In fact, Nicole made a perfect suggestion for Jeff and I when our location had to change due to COVID regulations – and we are so grateful for being able to have our first dance where we originally planned! The food….oh my god, the food was AAAAmazing! Everybody raved about it and to be honest, are still talking about it! Jeff and I love food so we wanted to actually eat at our wedding – Nicole assigned one of her team members to us, Yvonne. She was unbelievable – she should be assigned to every bride and groom. Yvonne brought cocktail hour to us, literally! She brought us drinks, butlered hor d’oeurves, and even went around to our stations and made us platers. Our favors were to-go bags with all Philly foods for everyone to take home. A mini cheesesteak, mini hoogie, soft pretzel, tasty cake, and peanut chews were in each bag and WOW, what a hit! We would highly, highly recommend them to anyone!!

Truly a Perfect Setting

"What would you like to eat?" A question every bride longs to hear and the question Deb Diehl asked. It was the most relieving question to have been asked amid the when, where, how, who myriad I was getting. She took me privately through Hilltop House and she made me feel like I was the owner of the whole property. We were planning a grand party and she was my personal assistant. I was never pushed or rushed or bombarded with emails and calls to make a decision or roped with "we have others interested." Even when my parents and I were running late on the day of our second tour she was understanding and spoke to my parents in detail everything as she had with me. We all were so welcomed and pleased to work with such a wonderful company and to know that there was no cookie cutter package or rules it would truly be MY wedding in anyway she could accommodate

Perfect Setting Created a "Perfect" Wedding Reception

Jerry Diehl, the owner of Perfect Setting Catering in Paoli was a pleasure to work with . He was responsive, polite and very personable. The moment we sampled the food during the tasting, our daughter knew that she wanted this caterer and other tastings paled in comparison. On the day of the wedding he did not disappoint. The staff was very polite and pleasant so the entire experience was very professional. Many of our guests happen to be "foodies" and great cooks and they commented favorably. Even my cousin who was the owner of a very successful restaurant as well as a past catering director for one of Philly's major hotels said that it was the best wedding he ever attended. Kudos to Jerry and his staff!! As the mother of the bride, I was very pleased with the results.

The name is the experience - Perfect Setting!

Magical!
Everything was perfect; as the name indicates - the absolutely perfect setting!!!
This was a second wedding for my now husband and I; we are older and wanted a joyous, fun event.
In comes Perfect Setting....the service impeccable; staff friendly and accommodating; while unobtrusive and the food was delectable.
And the loving care shown to our guests and especially to us as the bride and groom; there was even a plate of food given to each of us, so we were assured to eat!
We felt so special that Deb was on site for our entire reception; we were so grateful she were there! Nothing was overlooked.
Food was fabulous - we opted for heavy hors d'oeuvres and dessert instead of a sit-down dinner. We wanted our guests to mingle, enjoy each other's company and partake of great food and drink. Our goal was for everyone to have a wonderful time and leave satisfied and happy. Success!!!
We heard nothing but rave reviews about the food. We are thoroughly enjoying the leftovers right now; they were packaged perfectly to keep each selection fresh.
And Deb gave us such sage advice on the amount of food needed and the type that would appeal most to our invitees. She also suggested amount of spirits for the number of guests - no guessing on our part.
The desserts were amazing! We opted out of a wedding cake and went with cheesecake, chocolate dipped strawberries and lady kisses (almond macaroons, marshmallow and chocolate). The cheesecake came with various toppings, the chocolate surrounding the strawberries was just plain decadent and the lady kisses - I think I ate 10 of them myself. Absolutely exquisite and so delicious!!!
As I mentioned previously, every detail was attended to - both during the reception and afterward. Left over hors d'oeuvres were packaged separately for our enjoyment afterwards. Even our champagne glasses were wrapped and tucked away in bubble wrap.
This experience was nothing but pleasure. Our sincerest, heartfelt thanks to Deb and her staff. We will be recommending you to all of our friends.

Jerry and team are the BEST!

We had an absolutely awesome experience working with Perfect Setting on our Oct 5th wedding in Chester Springs. From the very first phone call we had over a year ago I knew we'd be in good hands - I think Jerry and I spoke for over an hour about our vision, and I hung up the phone really feeling like he and his team were personally invested in our wedding. My fiance and I met in person with Jerry and had several emails and a million phone conversations with him throughout the planning process and always felt like everything would be taken care of, even down to the silliest requests and smallest details. And then, on the actual day of our wedding, Jerry was there and worked right alongside our moms to set everything up, then stayed for the duration of our reception helping all of the staff to ensure that everything was running smoothly. All of the staff members were fabulous, and made sure that my husband and I always had food and a glass in our hand. And, not to mention, the food was AMAZING and got rave reviews ("best wedding dinner I've ever had!") from all of our family members. I can't imagine trusting the food, drink, and running of our wedding to anyone else. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Loved our experience with Perfect Setting! Jerry was very easy to work with, and his wealth of experience came in handy as he helped us develop a timeline and walked us through every step of our wedding day. He was invaluable on the day of, coordinating with the other vendors and helping behind the scenes to make everything run smoothly. We had some non-standard food ideas and Jerry worked with us to make our wedding menu our own, and the food was a huge hit among our guests!

Nicole and Perfect Settings were great for our wedding. The food was awesome and they were very accommodating of the last minute change to move the ceremony inside. They kept things moving throughout the night and everyone was very happy with their meals.

Leading up to the wedding Nicole was super flexible with scheduling and helping us pick out or food selections to have all our favorites. They were also accommodating of our Cookie Table and made sure everything looked beautiful!

They were great to work with, their pricing fit our budget, and our guests were still impressed with the meal. Would highly recommend!

Jerry and his team at Perfect Setting were wonderful to work with from start to finish. We are so glad we chose them as the catering team for our wedding. Jerry was very professional, responsive, and flexible. He listened well throughout the process to our hopes and vision for our wedding day, and made it happen, while also providing us with helpful input based on his years of experience. On our wedding day, the entire catering staff was attentive, courteous, hospitable, and friendly. The Perfect Setting team helped us set up our venue as well, and it looked beautiful and just as we envisioned. In addition to the experience of working with Jerry and his team, the food was absolutely delicious! We received so many compliments from our guests. We hired Perfect Setting to cater our wedding at Appleford Estate this past weekend. We truly could not be happier with how the day went. Everything ran exceptionally smoothly, efficiently, and without a hitch. The food was incredible and we received many comments from our guests echoing that. The time between the first and last guests receiving their meals was impressively short (I worked a catering gig years ago and know how difficult this is to accomplish!). Beyond the food being amazing, Jerry and the team at Perfect Setting were truly a pleasure to work with. I was very nervous in the hours before the wedding, and each interaction with Jerry put me at ease and made me realize that Perfect Setting would handle everything and I could just relax and enjoy our special day. Which is what I did! We are beyond grateful to Perfect Setting for ensuring our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more. I highly recommend them to anyone needing a caterer!

What an amazing company! Nicole and her team were simply wonderful. Unfortunately, our original caterer was unable to furnish the appropriate liability documents for the venue about a month prior to our wedding. I called Nicole who was able to match our original price and exceed our menu and taste expectations! They were organized, professional, welcoming, and kind. We could not have made the day a success without them. Nicole and Kathy were so sweet and went above and beyond to cater and organize a wedding for 150 people in 3 weeks. Wow! I used Perfect Setting Catering for my June wedding last year and Jerry and his team did a fantastic job! I didn’t have a coordinator or planner for the day of so Jerry really stepped up and delivered. He was very attentive to my needs throughout planning, deciding, and finally the day of. On top of that, the food was delicious! Lots of compliments on the pecan encrusted chicken and salmon. Perfect Setting also perfectly set (sorry I had to) the tables. It was everything I hoped for and more. Also, on the list of caterers I had to choose from, Perfect Setting was the most fairly priced, and my parents appreciated that :) Took me a while to get around to writing a review, but thank you Jerry and Perfect Setting Catering for making the day truly magical!

We LOVED Perfect Setting! Working with Deb Diehl was such a pleasure! She made sure that from the day we met her she attended to every detail assuring that we were getting exactly what we asked for. She patiently crafted the menu with me, taking into account all of my special requests and made all of my dreams for the day come true. And the food... INCREDIBLE! This is NOT your run of the mill wedding food - our guests could not stop talking about how delicious everything was from the hors d'oeuvres to the entrees and desserts everything was impeccable. I HIGHLY recommend working with them! Deb will personally make sure you day goes smoothly and according to plan and that everything will be perfect! I worked with Jerry Diehl at Perfect Setting for my wedding reception. He and his staff were absolutely amazing. We worked together leading up to the wedding to finalize details and he was very supportive and informative with suggestions and clarifications. On the day of he made sure to introduce himself to my parents and in-laws and make sure they were comfortable. His staff was extremely attentive and the food was beyond delicious. We first heard of Perfect Setting Catering through our wedding venue, Brandywine Manor House. They were one of a very exclusive list of preferred vendors due to their great reputation, high quality food, and exceptional service. During our initial consult and tasting, Deb was very engaging and professional and showed a lot of enthusiasm for getting to know us and our preferences. She accommodated some of our requests that we felt would make our wedding more intimate and unique such as having our own personal server during cocktail hour (thanks, Yvonne!) and serving the salad course family-style. She also offered to provide mini-ice cream cones at the end of the night, which were a huge hit with our guests.

PSC worked very well with our venue and other vendors, which greatly helped the entire event flow smoothly. We had a lot of positive feedback on our cocktail hour and dinner entrée selections and our guests especially liked the friendly bartenders. We highly recommend them (and the bacon-wrapped dates) for your special day!

He was very helpful with making suggestions that really helped shaped our wedding into a very magical day. Perfect Setting Catering went above and beyond to make my wedding completely stress-free and absolutely delicious. There are not enough positive things I can say about working with Jerry. Great food and great service! The food was absolutely delicious and people still rave about our family style BBQ dinner. The shrimp and grits were just incredible! Laurey had the chef try them out for her before the wedding to make sure they'd be perfect, and they were. The night was seamless and Laurey took care of all the behind the scenes coordinating, we didn't do a thing but enjoy our beautiful night. She thought of everything, even added umbrellas over raw bar after she saw forecast for very hot day so it wouldn't melt. She was a joy to work with, super responsive and very creative. The staff was great as well, very professional and well trained. Can't recommend Perfect Setting enough!

Perfect Setting was one of the handful of preferred vendors provided to us by our venue. After meeting with Jerry, we knew they would be great to work with, so we scheduled our tasting. We selected our entrees, hors d'oeuvres and salad choices, and these items were prepared for us to sample. We were blown away by how amazing the food was and knew instantly we would go with them for our big day. After many months of back-and-forth, Jerry helped perfect our food choices, seating arrangements and overall game plan for the evening. He was able to accommodate all of special requests for certain guests, adapt to any last minute alterations and gave us a great deal on our cake via Bredenbeck's Bakery. Thanks to Jerry, our evening went without a hitch. Many of our guests and family members continue to talk about the fantastic service and food Jerry and his staff provided!

Perfect Setting was the perfect choice for our wedding and Jerry Diehl was fantastic! Our wedding went off perfectly. We got many, many compliments on the food, especially the vegetables! (which is a very hard thing to get so many compliments on). I think the chicken was personally my favorite. We both appreciated how much Jerry were involved with every aspect of the evening, and in helping calm us down in November when we both realized there were many things we hadn't thought about. He was basically our wedding planner that night! From coordinating everything with the DJ, with the museum, and even queuing the girls to walk down the aisle. All of that meant a lot to us. We also appreciated the help deciding what to stock the bar with because we wouldn't have known what to buy without it! At the reception, having drinks and dinner brought right to us so that we could enjoy the food while still having time to make our way around the room and greet all of our guests. I would definitely recommend Perfect Setting to all newly engaged couples in the Philadelphia area and I know we would hire them all over again!

We had such an amazing experience with Perfect Setting Catering. Jerry and Deb could not have done more to make our wedding absolutely perfect. They made a very overwhelming process very easy to tackle. Their experience really showed since my venue was a little tricky to navigate. They are so willing to customize everything to exactly what you are looking for. The day of, everything was perfectly executed. They assigned a server to my husband and I to make sure we were able to eat and drink during the night with ease. We LOVED Deb with Perfect Setting! She was 100% accommodating- she even took a call from us on a personal vacation. She truly went above and beyond to connect with us and personally understand our vision. She helped us come up with signature cocktails, provided a contact for liquor, and most importantly organized a fantastic meal for our guests. Perfect Setting Catering far exceeded our expectations and desires for our wedding day. It was unbelievable how perfect every last detail of our wedding was. Everything was easy and flawless with Perfect Catering from the beginning to the end. The first time we met with Jerry, we walked out of the meeting saying how professional, witting and great he seemed. From there, he helped us narrow every last detail down to what would work the best for us as a couple. Over the next few months, he answered my endless e-mails and questions rapidly and never let a question go unanswered. Our tasting was delicious--and the food at the wedding tasted the same, if not better!

It's hard to really remember all of the details from the day of, but I did not worry about anything the whole day because I knew Jerry could handle anything. All of our guests were blown away by the professionalism of his whole team. They were considerate, happy, hard working and helpful. The dinner was served in a seated style and all of the guests were served very quickly. Everyone kept telling us how amazing the food was. We were thrilled with how happy everyone was!

Then there were the little things that I never expected and was delighted with. They paid extra special attention to the groom and I during the whole evening-asking us if we needed anything. During cocktail hour, when we were getting our pictures taken someone was there with the hors d'oeuvres/cocktails for us to make sure we didn't miss anything! Neither one of us had to ask for anything the whole night. They saw that we didn't really touch our dinner because we were so busy with the guests so they gladly packed us full servings for later! It was so nice to eat back at the hotel when everything was done.

Perfect Setting Catering made our wedding: organized, flawless, fun, delicious and perfect. Would recommend this caterer to anyone!

I planned a perfect barn wedding. When rain came pouring down, Laurey did everything within her power to make our tent ceremony as beautiful as possible. It was gorgeous!
On top of that, they made both of our families gleeful with a delicious mixture of Southern and Indian foods. Everybody had a fantastic time and I couldn't imagine a more perfect wedding night, even without the barn.

We got married recently at the Merion Tribute House and used Perfect Setting Catering. Once we spoke with Laurey Ford at Perfect Setting over a year ago, we immediately felt comfortable and confident that they would make our wedding reception a success. They absolutely exceeded all expectations and were wonderful to work with!

While the food was delicious at the taste test, it was a delectable slam dunk at our wedding. Our guests could not stop talking about how great everything tasted, particularly the mashed potato bar and the salmon entree. We were so pleased that everyone enjoyed the food, and there were only glowing compliments about the service all evening.

We have to commend Laurey for how she went above and beyond to help with the minor details that contributed to our day going smoothly. When we had some slight hiccups and time delays, Laurey was there to ensure that things went as planned. She also made sure we both had time to eat, which we appreciated a lot after our exhausting day.

If you're getting married at the Merion Tribute House (or anywhere else that Perfect Setting caters), do yourself a favor and go with them. You will truly get the service--and delicious food---that you and your guests deserve on your special day.

We cannot give Jerry and his team at Perfect Setting Catering enough praise for all of their help at our wedding in early February 2014. Yes, Jerry's calm and professional demeanor is welcoming; his expertise from being in the catering business for two decades was beyond valuable; and our guests all praised the quality of the food his team prepared. But, for us, what was most impressive, and truly beyond expectations, was Jerry's ability to deal with a last-minute venue change due to the power outage of early Feb '14. With less than two days' notice, we changed nearly everything about our wedding. Jerry made last minute venue visits with us, spent plenty of time on the phone both late at night and early in the morning planning and re-planning contingencies, and remained calm, cool, and collected every step of the way. He is a true gentleman, as professional as someone could possibly be, and we couldn't have made a better choice than to work with him and Perfect Setting on our most important day.

Perfect Setting Catering was the #1 recommended caterer at my venue, so they're the catering company we met with first. When we met with Jerry, we knew we didn't have to look any further. The pricing was perfect, the selections were great and Jerry himself was so friendly, warm and happy.

Moving further into the process, Jerry understood the type of Bride I was: organized, and wanting to get things finished and crossed-off. He worked with me, responded to my millions of questions and emails and requests for meetings and did it all with a smile on his face.

The day of the wedding came and everything came together so perfectly. Jerry helped make sure everything would match from the tablecloths to the napkins to the chairs and cushions. The food was cooked perfectly and all night we heard about how everyone's plates were licked clean. The truffled mashed potatoes were a huge hit - get them if you can!! We also saved some money by getting rid of the spinach & artichoke dip station during cocktail hour and Jerry came up with a passed appetizer of mini spinach and artichoke dip served with french bread. It was perfect and SO accommodating.

The staff was so attentive. Constantly made sure my groom and I were full, drinks in hand and food in our stomachs. I honestly cannot even think of a single complaint I would have. I'd recommend Jerry and his team to anyone planning a wedding or any event in the area, time and time again.

Deb worked with us every step of the way in planning our daughter's wedding. She is the reason why we chose Perfect Setting Catering. We got married recently at the Merion Tribute House outside of Philly. Jerry Diehl, Erin and the rest of Perfect Setting Team made our wedding so smooth and enjoyable, not to mention delicious! When I booked the venue, they recommended Perfect Setting out of the 10 caterers on the pre-specified weekend caterer list--I am so glad we did.

We knew we made the right choice when we met Jerry at our tasting and tried all of the food. Everything was so good and had a beautiful presentation. We also had a blast getting to know Jerry and sharing our vision for our day.

Jerry was always very responsive when we worked together to finalize the menu and other logistics via email. He was also flexible when I waited till just a few weeks before the wedding to finalize the linens and add a lemonade table.

The day of our wedding, Jerry and the team did a PERFECT job setting up all of our wedding directions that I had spent so many hours making myself. They followed my instructions so well that I just smiled all night seeing everything as I had envisioned it. Jerry was also great with the flow of the night, managing the kitchen when we let our cocktail hour go on a little longer than planned. Dinner came out quickly and efficiently and we were through dinner and on the dance floor back on schedule!

One of the greatest things about Perfect Setting was Erin who specially catered to me, my fiancé and our families throughout the whole night. We were greeted with cocktails and appetizers as we finished our bride and groom shots with the photographer and we were never without a drink the rest of the night. We actually got to enjoy our wedding meals and not waste time in line at the bar! It felt like she had known us for a long time and had a personal interest in making sure we enjoyed our special day.

Jerry and Perfect Setting did an absolutely fantastic job at our wedding! We looked through a dozen menus before contacting Perfect Setting and theirs was the only one that looked good for a decent amount of money. Perfect Setting is among the caterer choices offered at Merion Tribute House, where my fiance and I attended an open house when multiple caterers were featured. Many were good, but Perfect Setting stands out. The food was presented well, but more importantly, and to the delight of our guests, it tastes even better.

Jerry was always personally attentive, and his employees are terrifically professional. The staff adroitly adjusted to emergency time schedule changes the day of the wedding when a thunderstorm and delayed guests put off dinner service more than an hour later than planned. My new husband and I were especially grateful when Jerry stood by at our getaway car to deliver two meals and a slice of cake to enjoy later, because sitting down to dinner never happened for us with the flurry of wedding events!

Jerry Diehl and his company Perfect Setting did a spectacular job for our daughter's wedding. He gave us superb advice from the start, listened to what our daughter (who was out of town until right before the wedding) wanted and gave us exactly that, along with slight modifications he tactfully suggested. Working from a cook-tent, his staff served delicious hors d'oeuvres to 160 guests in our garden, then a sit-down dinner in a tent, with the tables for ten divided by a dance floor. Whether pouring wine, serving or checking on the tables, his staff was professional and virtually invisible. Our guests commented on their graceful way of always being right where they were needed, with no fuss. Jerry himself, to the delight of our "day-of" wedding planner, checked each plate as it left the cook-tent, a job she says she often has to do herself. The next morning. he and his staff were at our door at 7:30 am, to prepare what turned out to be a beautiful yet simple brunch for all the guests. He set up a lovely looking (and tasting!) buffet in our kitchen, put tables in strategic spots on the porch and terrace; his staff behaved as if this was the most fun ever, even though they had been on their feet for six hours the night before. I should also add that we did not have a wedding planner, except for the day of, so we had to make sure the tent people, the table arrangement people, the band and the caterer were all on the same page throughout the planning. Jerry was invaluable in helping us do this, gracious and flexible as he worked with the vendors. Our younger daughter, who did virtually all the wedding planning for her older sister, has already told Jerry that he should count on doing her wedding, whenever that might be.

Deb was our coordinator and she did a wonderful job. She took care of everything, including setting up the ceremony, which was at the same site. The best part was the food- my husband lived in Texas for several years and knows good bbq brisket, and he said the brisket at the wedding was the best he has had in the northeast. The salad and sides were excellent too. The servers were all very nice and helpful, and brought us appetizers and our meals so we didn't have to stand in line. They also prepared plates for my grandmothers so they didn't have to get in the buffet line. I would recommend Perfect Setting Catering to all brides.

I have one word PERFECT. Jerry and his staff did an exceptional job at my wedding. I selected Perfect Setting from my venue's list of preferred caterers. I know this may sound crazy, but I selected them solely because of their name. I must admit, it was a great decision. The food was excellent. All of my guests raved about it. The lamb chops and crabcakes were the favorites. I am a self proclaimed foodie and food was the most important thing to me. My guests could not stop talking about the food. The service was amazing. The staff was very attentive to myself and my guests. Jerry even made sure that we had a tray of chocolate covered strawberries to take home. If I ever a renewal, I'm definitely using perfect setting. I love love love them.

Perfect Setting did more than just provide delicious food, they ensured that my wedding day moved along flawlessly, co-ordinating with the venue and the band. My guests raved about the appertizers - they were delicious and plentiful. Dinner was served quickly and actually tasted better than the original tasting. The staff were courteous, professional and FUN! Service was impeccable. They allowed me to relax and enjoy my day knowing that the details were in safe hands.

She guided us through every step of the process to be sure we were comfortable with out plans were progressing toward our wedding date.

We were incredibly happy with the catering, charm and flexibility we experienced when working with Perfect Setting Catering. I am still receiving compliments on the unique and delicious food that was served at our wedding - everyone claims it's the best food at a wedding they ever experienced! Perfect Setting Catering was extremely flexible in trying to accommodate the food style, unique wedding venue and budget we wanted. We were extremely pleased with Perfect Setting. We chose them off of an approved list of caterers for our reception site (Appleford) and were very happy we did. We had a tasting with them and went to an open house of theirs held at Appleford and they were definitely the "most bang for the buck". Their entree options range anywhere from $61 to $85 so you can easily find something in your price range. It is owned and operated by a husband and wife, Debbie and Jerry Diehl. Debbie was awesome. Every meeting my mom and I left with her, we walked away feeling very confident and happy with her, saying "I'm so glad we chose them". At the wedding, the staff was outstanding. They were ALWAYS asking me if I needed anything, esp during pictures, bring me water or wine as well as appetizers. I know they are supposed to because I'm the bride, but it's always nice. Dinner was served in a timely professional manner, our tables were exactly the way we wanted and Debbie kept things flowing smoothly the whole night. The food was excellent and our guests raved about the filet. Overall, Perfect Setting was wonderful and I will keep them in mind in the future!

Perfect Setting Catering was more than perfect for my wedding! Deb Diehl and her staff made all my dreams come true, and more! Right from the start, Deb was there as if a wedding Fairy Godmother. She was so supportive and helpful, going above and beyond to make me feel at ease. She always responded right away whenever I contacted her and was very patient when it came to answering all my questions. Many times, when I was stressing, Deb would say “don't worry...I'll take care of it” or “just leave it to me.” I am so glad I did :) From the very beginning, she worked with me every step of the way to make sure the food and venue set-up were just how I'd imagined.

When the big day arrived, everything turned out better than I could have ever hoped for. I was so thankful to have Deb there acting as the coordinator, especially since my venue manager left right after the ceremony, putting everything on Deb's shoulders. This didn't throw her off her game at all because once you work with her, you'll see she's a professional. When she took over, the rest of the night ran like clockwork. She worked with the photographer and band to make sure everything went to schedule. She often checked on my husband and me to see if we needed anything, making sure we got the chance to eat the amazing food. Her staff was also outstanding - so polite and accommodating. And the food...unbelievable! Almost a month later, my guests are still talking about the delicious gourmet comfort food that Deb created, especially the pot pies.

I could write a book about how thankful I am that I used Perfect Setting and Deb for my wedding. I can't imagine having to go through the planning of a wedding without her! I can't recommend Perfect Setting enough. Thank you for everything, Deb!

When I say that we are big foodies and quality of food was one of the MOST IMPORTANT things to us when planning our wedding, I can't stress that enough!

Perfect Setting catered my bridal shower, wedding and brunch the day after. We booked them for our wedding less than 60 days out due to a chnage in venue at the last minute. We were so thankful they were available and knew our wedding location (yellow house of willowdale)! Our story with the venue change is a bit long, however, PerfecT Setting was able to make the dishes we had on our RSVP cards that had already been sent in the mail! Talk about flexibility and ACCOMMODATING! Not only did they make the dishes, but they made them to boot. Absolutely delicious. We didn't have one complaint on our food. My entree was filet...cooked to perfection. We also had a salmon choice and vegetable lasagna. Our meal began with a plated salad, followed by a primi pasta dish that was small portion, big taste....it's what we are all about.

We/and our guests loved the butlered hors d'eouvers....small, so yummy!

Perfect Setting has a WODNERFUL team. we had a team of 15 that included chefs, bartenders, servers and a coordinator. They were amazingly wonderful/easy to work with. I just loved seeing them and it just made both of us so happy. The next morning at our brunch was unreal. They are so prepared for everything, and don't really miss anything. Down to every detail. And highly flexible. They want to work with you and do what you want....SO GREAT!

Amazing Brunch Wedding!

We had a vision for a brunch-themed wedding and we were so happy that Perfect Setting Catering was able to deliver! We had a tasting with them at their office and it was unbelievable how delicious everything tasted!! I was so nervous that the food wouldn't be as good for the actual brunch buffet, but I had nothing to worry about. French toast casserole, custom-made omelets, chocolate covered strawberries, these were just a few of my favorite things! The cocktail hour food was also amazing - bloody mary shrimp cocktails, lemon ricotta toast, bite-sized chicken and waffles! The service was also outstanding as they made sure the bride and groom had plenty to eat...and we did! We couldn't be happier with Perfect Setting.

Perfect Setting Catering was a great choice for us. They had a large menu with tasty options and our cake was included in the price. It was easy to set up an appointment to meet them and try their food. From the beginning of our consultation, our event coordinator worked with us to make sure we had the wedding that we envisioned and not what they envisioned for us. This was a big plus for us since many caters seemed to push there own ideas on us. On the day of our wedding, they were on time with everything, they made sure my husband and I had everything we needed/wanted, and our guests couldn't stop raving about the food. At the end of our wedding, their staff continued to shine by helping us gather all of our things together to make a smooth departure from the venue. Some small minor problems with communication during the course of planning, but nothing that would make us change our minds in our decision to hire them. We would recommend them to our friends.

We had a great experience with Perfect Setting. Jerry and Deb were very involved not only in planning a great menu at an exceptional value but also in making sure the day ran smoothly. They also did a wonderful job with special dietary needs (gluten-free). The staff was friendly and attentive and our guests were so complimentary of both the food and the service. This caterer did a fabulous job with my wedding. The food was amazing, set up elegant and staff really topped it off. They were wonderful...following me around to make sure I had everything I needed, even making sure the DJ's volume was appropriate! I highly reccomend Perfect Setting. Deb is wonderful!

Great food

We selected Perfect Setting Catering for our Center City Philadelphia wedding after reading numerous reviews of the company. Jerry and his staff made sure our wedding went off without a hitch and our guests raved about the food and service! My husband and I had our own personal server throughout the night who made sure we always had something to eat and that our drinks were never empty. Jerry was able to accommodate several guests with dietary restrictions and was very flexible about last minute guest changes. Thank you Perfect Setting!

We had Deb and her staff catered our wedding in November at the Duportail House and they were amazing. Throughout the whole process, Deb was so helpful and gave us her professional opinion on our ideas but was always honest with us. She will be straight forward with you and that was something we appreciated because she wasn’t trying to up-sell us but stay within our means. We initially wanted to do food stations for the reception but after discussing with Deb we wound up going with sit-down dinner. Their prices were reasonable in our opinion and she was able to stay within the budget we initially set from the beginning. They also were able to help us setup for the reception and while our decorations were on the lighter side than most, that allowed us to enjoy our day. The food was amazing and our guests loved all the appetizers and entrée they served for dinner. We could not have been happier with Perfect Setting Catering and highly recommend them.

We used Perfect Setting Catering at our Appleford Estate wedding. They were the most down to earth caterer, up front about services and pricing. We also liked that our caterer would be our coordinator for the day and were assured that any of the tasks I was preparing to assign to family and friends, Deb, our coordinator would do for us--which was great. We chose our menu based on the pre-fixe options that Perfect Setting provides but we were allowed to customize our cocktail hour which I loved. Pre-wedding everything was working out as expected and the tasting was great.

Day of the wedding-different story. When I arrived with the bridal party all the meticulously labeled bins we brought to the venue and debriefed the coordinators on the day prior were in disarray...bins that contained ceremony, sign-in table, and bar decor/signs. Lids were strewn about...lids that had attached instructions as to what's in this bin and where does it go...and this was about an hour before the ceremony was supposed to go down. Deb had her hands up like 'I surrender' and said this was too much and she wasn't doing it. But since beforehand in our meetings with the caterer I was told to call off the favors I had planned to ask for (for example, my cousins were going to come early and set up decor) I had no back-up plan and all the items I had worked on for a year weren't going to be put out. I got upset, my bridesmaids took charge and tried to piece together the instruction with the decor item. Then the bridesmaids reported they were scolded to get up to the bridal suite, I was denied a glass of champagne to calm the nerves, and Deb put everyone in the wrong order to walk the aisle even though there was a program. Breaking down the event, I was in my gown clearing tables because the staff didn't do the runners or table #s. Thankfully at that point I had help. The food was great--so good--service and coordination not so much. Family was refilling our drinks, not staff.

Great Food Service

We booked Perfect Setting after tasting the food at an open house event, it was the best we had at any open houses! The food was the most important part to us, and Perfect Setting nailed it. All of our wedding guests raved about how good the food was!

We, like others were impacted by COVID and needed to make many last minute changes. Unfortunately, Perfect Setting was not very receptive to change and lacked the flexibility we were hoping for. Brides/grooms are under a lot of stress under normal circumstances, add on re-planning your entire wedding in response to COVID and that stress more than doubles. It would have been nice to have been met with understanding and teamwork when trying to figure everything out, as we were both navigating new territory. Deb was very insistent and rigid during our initial 'COVID re-planning' discussions, which was disappointing. We were eventually able to meet in the middle and make the day happen, and everything ended up just fine.

Good food but difficult to work with.

All in all, the guests really enjoyed the food and the day-of service was decent. For perspective, most of the wedding planning and execution was done by my family. To start on a good note, it was a huge..HUGE.. help when perfect setting agreed to set up tables and linens at the venue the day before the wedding so that my family could set up the decorations ahead of time. However, for all the brides out there who plan their wedding without a coordinator from the start, I feel as though it's my responsibility to report details that could make this process less than ideal. Corresponding with Perfect Setting was difficult. Although they were very responsive to emails, often times they wouldn't read the full email. As a result, questions would remain unaddressed, statements were repeated or important details (like the date of the wedding or the venue location) would be reported incorrectly. Also, I was also surprised that I wasn't able to try multiple chicken and beef options during the tasting of the entrees. Finally, although they helped a great deal in taking down decorations, they were extremely rude to my wedding party who were also trying to help. My bridesmaids and groomsmen were rushed and yelled at during the tear-down so that the caterers could lock up and leave within 30 min after the wedding ended although we had paid for TWO HOURS for tear-down before the venue needed to be locked up. This didn't exactly end the wedding on a good note.

I thought they were a good compony when i went to meet with them but on the day of my wedding they fell short on my expectations. The passed hors d' oeuvres were good but my guest had to hunt for them because there weren't enough and then the buffet ran out and guest were still hungry. They did not coordinate the buffet very well so people didn't know what was going on. Unfortunatly their execution of the day was lacking and I was dissapointed.
