A Wonderful Ceremony
Pat is one of the kindest and sweetest people we have ever met. She was extremely organized and easy to communicate with.. She really took the time to get to know us - we filled out a very detailed relationship questionnaire which helped her build a beautiful ceremony for us. We also felt that the all of the thoughtful questions brought us even closer together. She also has experience with many of the Pittsburgh venues which was important to us, since we were at Heinz Chapel and knew we were going to be time boxed. The ceremony was incredible - it was so personal and emotional. She wrote a lovely tribute to our parents & grandparents, and she even included some Pittsburgh sports references for us! Our families are still talking about how amazing it was. Thank you to Pat for making our day so special and memorable. -

We worked with Pat Carver at Perfect Promises for our wedding in March 2021 (originally March 2020). Pat supported us throughout the various planning and replanning. Pat provided a draft of the ceremony for our original wedding and made adjustments for our March 2021 wedding celebration. Pat was professional and overall delivered a wonderful ceremony! We went with a more relaxed, non-traditional ceremony that included an Irish hand tying and Pat met our various requests. Our guests all said that they enjoyed listening to Pat tell our story and the overall light hearted feel of the ceremony. We would recommend Pat to anyone looking for an officiant for their wedding. -

Pat was amazing when writing our ceremony. She had us fill out a questionnaire so that it was brilliantly personal. She walked through every single step of the ceremony with us during the rehearsal so that we would never be left wondering what we supposed to do. -

From the very beginning she stayed in consistent communication, truly valued our wants and needs for our wedding ceremony, and remained supportive and compassionate throughout the process. Pat cultivated a ceremony for us that really brought our relationship and personality to life, and she was really able to make everyone laugh, cry, and reminisce. We had so many guests come up to us and express how special and beautiful the ceremony was, and that it allowed them to get a picture of our intimate relationship and see how deep our love is. It was nothing less than magical. We knew that Pat was the one during our first meeting when she told us that her and her husband were married at our ceremony location, too! I couldn't imagine anything more perfect. <3 -

Marlena Sent on 06/14/2017Pat did such a fantastic job on our ceremony. She is so sweet and loves to get to know the bride and groom. I suggest to all future Mr and Mrs to fill out the questionnaire because it helps Pat make everything so personal and focuses on the couple. I know some don't think that they have the time but you can do little by little throughout a couple of months. I highly recommend her to perform your ceremony! Thanks again Pat! Marlena and Henry -

We had a so-so experience with Pat as our wedding officiant. She insisted that the minimum length of the ceremony was 20 minutes (we wanted a short one) and that we should do a ritual despite us initally not wanting to do one. When the time came, however, the ceremony was less than 10 minutes long and we didn't do a ritual. She also pronounced our last name wrong at the end of the ceremony.
The most stressful part was that she showed up about 5 minutes before the ceremony was supposed to start, and we had to wait right outside of the ceremony room (we were supposed to just walk down the steps into the room) for her to get the marriage license signed by the venue coordinator.
She gave a very good speech and presented us a nice bound copy of it, but, for the price of her services, the tardiness was really unacceptable.
