We recently had our wedding at Pelham Bay and Split Rock Golf Course, and it was everything we dreamed of and more!

From the very beginning, the staff was incredible to work with. John is a champ. He was very responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. Their attention to detail and flexibility took so much stress off our shoulders, and we felt supported every step of the way. Also thanks to our bride attendant and the manager of the day Kristin.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning. The golf course backdrop made for the most beautiful photos, and the reception room was elegant, spacious, and perfectly set up for our reception. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the atmosphere both outside and inside!

The food was another highlight — from the cocktail hour to the reception, everything was delicious and plentiful. We received so many compliments from guests about how much they enjoyed their meals.

What stood out the most was how seamless the day felt. The team managed everything flawlessly, which allowed us to truly relax and enjoy every moment of our wedding day.

If you’re looking for a wedding venue that combines breathtaking scenery, amazing service, and an exceptional experience, I can’t recommend Pelham Bay and Split Rock Golf Course enough. They were also very nice to work with your budget. They provided different catering packages for you to choose.

A few years ago a stumbled across Pelham Split Rock’s Instagram page and I knew it was where I wanted to have my wedding ceremony. Unfortunately COVID changed things and a reception at Pelham Split Rock wasn’t possible. Earlier this year when my husband and I started looking for venues for our baby shower it was a no brainer, we just knew we had to have it here! John, the event manager, was helpful from the very start. Always responsive, detailed and made all our requests a possibility. As if things couldn’t get any better, the crew supporting the event the day of were spectacular. They kept us on schedule while being flexible and soooo accommodating. Many of our guests couldn’t believe this hidden gem existed in the Bronx.

Look no further... you have found your venue! I recently had my wedding at Pelham Bay & Split Rock, and I truly cannot say enough positive things about the experience. First and foremost, the venue is BEAUTIFUL. The photos are lovely but do not do the place justice. The fact that it is situated within a golf course creates a truly magical effect; once the sun went down, our wedding reception became a bright beacon of light and music amidst a gorgeous, dark expanse. We were permitted to use the grass, which meant that the kids at the reception had plenty of room to run around, and anyone who needed a quiet moment away could take a short walk and do so. The venue provided fire pits and s'mores on the grass as well, which were a wonderful, special touch. From start to finish, John and the team were wonderful to work with. They were flexible, responsive, and answered all our questions. The food was delicious! And the space was extremely versatile... we wanted our reception to be entirely outdoors due to covid, which we were able to do. BUT we also had access to a gorgeous indoor space for guests who needed a break from the summer heat. And if the weather had been bad, we would have had the option to move indoors if needed, which gave us great peace of mind throughout the entire process. I cannot recommend this venue enough. Our night was unforgettable.

John, Al, and the rest of the team at Split Rock made our wedding dreams come true. They were thorough, very communicative, and made sure to cover every last detail so that everything ran smoothly on the day of the wedding. John was great at answering all of my questions and meeting with me on numerous occasions to discuss details. He was also great at being available for our vendor for music to go over logistics for electric/ speakers, etc. My husband and I got married on May 28th, 2022, with a brunch daytime wedding. We had planned to have our ceremony by Split Rock’s beautiful gazebo. However, due to an impending thunderstorm, we moved our ceremony indoors in the tent. (Our gameplan was set in stone from the previous day for the weather, and it was great to feel like there was the Plan A and Plan B with the timings). Honestly- with the photos, it looked just as beautiful, if not more beautiful with the florals inside the pavilion. The beautiful clear siding of the pavilion gave us an indoor/outdoor feel, so we enjoyed the view of the nature, but were able to stay safe and cool in the air conditioning inside. In fact, I think the ceremony felt even more intimate, unique, and special this way given the way our guests were seated. My husband and I were in awe at how everything looked even better than we anticipated with the décor. Al, our event coordinator was so meticulous and was great at keeping on top of the schedule, while also being flexible with my or my husband’s “go ahead” for changes. As a very anxious person in general, Al really made me feel at complete ease during the day. I wasn’t worried about a thing. He was like a ninja,- I mean that in the best sense- he was making everything happen flawlessly in the background, so that my husband and I could just ENJOY the day. Kristen and Mariah were my bridal attendants, and they were the absolute BEST. They made me feel so comfortable, and were so good at anticipating my needs. Most of all, I felt that they genuinely cared that I was having the best time… My husband and I are just so happy in choosing this place as our venue!

The venue is absolutely beautiful especially the main room with double fireplaces and 1920s art work. The staff are accommodating and so easy with whom to work. They are customer service oriented which is often difficult to find. Food was outstanding and all of my guests raved about it! Great choice all around!

This venue is so beautiful and the staff is absolutely professional and attentive. They made sure everything looked and felt perfect for my wedding day. My attendant was literally perfection. The food is absolutely delicious. My guest had a great time and were in awe of the beautiful view, setup and venue.

My fiancé and I heard about Pelham Bay & Split Rock Golf Course from a friend that had his wedding there, but to be honest the reviews were so high I was weary. I am so glad we went, from the moment we walked in John Braca was friendly, attentive and straightforward. We are so fortunate to have found Pelham Bay and John. I did not have a vision in mind, but my fiancé did, he wanted more of a non-traditional reception with our favorite rock bank performing. John and Pelham Bay were more than accommodating, almost making it too easy. The planning, the food choices everything was just so easy and perfect. John is a pro and it definitely shows.
The day of the wedding, October 5, 2019 everything was absolutely perfect . The lay out and table arrangements were exactly like we wanted and all of our “quirky” touches were added. The food was delish!! Still people are raving about it, the servers and bartenders were very attentive. Not one guess was in need of anything because food and drink was always being offered. Our Bridal attendant Sarah was just wonderful, she was very helpful and would remind me to breath as I am a tad high strung! I am so grateful for John and the staff at Pelham Bay & Split Rock and coud not recommend them enough! Almost wish we could do it all over again we had so much fun! Thanks for your help, service and enthusiasm in making our day so special.

We spent our entire wedding night receiving CONSTANT praise for the venue, and it was extremely deserved.

From the very beginning, John has been nothing but responsive and flexible. We fell in love with this venue immediately, and from our first conversation he worked with us to build out a package that matched our budget and our slightly-smaller-than-minimum guest count. We weren't super fussy with a lot of our details, but all the same we got the sense that John would be patient and there for us to work out whatever we wanted to do. Even when we got into the eleventh hour and had some last minute complications on our side, he worked with us to make sure that everything went smoothly.

As for the event staff, Al our maître d' and Kristen our bridal suite attendant were both on point. I personally was a bit of an anxious wreck in the lead-up to the wedding, but it was apparent right away that both of them had the whole evening under control. It meant my wife and I could truly relax and enjoy our evening more than we thought possible.

Kristen was phenomenal, she anticipated all of our needs (sometimes before we even knew we'd need them!). She always made sure we had food and drinks, were in the right place, and that all of our things were organized.

Al was so brilliant that I honestly barely even noticed him in an extremely good way. All of our food was out hot and right on time, the service ran effortlessly, and our night ended up being absolutely perfect.

As far as the venue itself, the location is absolutely gorgeous. The views from the tent are great, and the central outdoor space makes a great transition from cocktail hour to reception when the weather's nice. Don't be afraid to work with the outdoor space when planning your event. The s'mores station was a big hit the outdoor fire pits and outdoor dance floor meant we could transition back outside at the end of the night. Everything was absolutely perfect.

In terms of recommendations, we liked how little decoration it took to make the space look great. We rented some outdoor lounge furniture to spruce up the outdoor space, and that added a lot. We also would recommend bringing some extra uplighting for the tent. The lighting is even and adequate, but some fancier pops of color would've been nice (our DJ warned us but we didn't listen).

The food was excellent and plentiful. The cocktail hour stations were delicious and our package came with enough food between them and the passed hors d'oeuvres that some of our guests thought that was the entire meal! The courses were stunning as well, and the dessert stations ended up being real hits. The s'mores station was a popular hang out spot at the end of the evening, the milk and cookies went over very well with our younger guests, and the donut wall ended up in a lot of our guests's photos that night.

Honestly we could not have asked for a prettier venue, better food, or a more organized team. Our evening was absolutely perfect and we were able to truly enjoy it thanks to these talented folks. We'll definitely be keeping them in mind if we need another event in the area, and we highly recommend you check them out as well.

OMG where do we start?! My dream wedding was achieved because of two things. The beautiful venue that gives you the choice to host your wedding outdoors and the wonderful people who worked nonstop through alllll my questions and concerns. First is John, what an angel! We booked almost a yr in advance, so the amount of questions, comments and concerns that I had leading up to the wedding would had driven ppl off the wall. John was 100% always responsive and attentive. The day of the wedding he was my hype man! He kept everything in order leading up to the wedding and I had 0 stress! Next is Al, he help us for our rehearsal because we didn’t know what we were doing! He took the time to guide each of us through rehearsal and the day of the wedding he made sure communication between him and the rest of the vendors was crystal clear! We were running a little behind schedule but he made sure transitions from ceremony to cocktail, pictures, reception and entertainment was seamless. And lastly Kristin! Ugh! Loveeddd heeerrr!! She was all about me as soon as I got to the venue, she walked around with my veil and holding my train for pictures and she was stressing my bustle more than I was. She made sure I was eating and drinking and enjoying myself the whole night. I wish I could relive my wedding day it was an amazing experience and this venue and the people in it will make sure you have the time of your lifeee!!! We chose outdoor dance floor and dining and everyone loved how it was different. THE FOOOODDD... amazing! My guest loved the second course which was penne a la vodka! Then we had choice of steak, salmon or chicken! I heard no complaints! Cocktail hour we had so many choices! Trust me, you will fall in love with the venue! We sure did, we wish we can turn back time and do it all over again!

While searching for the perfect venue for my daughter's Masquerade Sweet 16 I found Pelham Bay Split Rock. I found a "jewel" hidden in the Bronx. The place was absolutely gorgeous, the decor was perfect, and the event manager, Jessica Vasquez, truly made my planning less complicated. She was a professional, knowledgeable, she made dance practices possible, she was flexible with time and flexible with payments. I am extremely grateful for her help. Once August 3, 2019 arrived, I was overjoyed as to how beautiful the room looked, the guests were complimenting the staff as to professionalism, attentiveness during the whole event. The food was delicious, the Open Bar was amazing. The night was magical for my baby girl and also for family and friends. Memories that will last a lifetime. We plan a 3-month wedding and we’re married on June 9, 2019. This place was the PERFECT venue to host our celebration. The location is convenient, absolutely gorgeous with outdoor space for our ceremony and indoor space for our reception. The wedding coordinator/ manager was extremely seasoned and attentive, which made planning easy!!! Thank to John for making our day wonderful! The food, decor and service was impeccable! I HIGHLY recommend this place to make your day come true!! Also, the day of coordinator was super great and attentive... thank you Sarah!!! We had the best time!!!

My fiancé and I were looking at a few locations near the Bronx to have our engagement party at. We automatically fell in love with Split Rock the minute we passed by the facility. It is absolutely gorgeous on the outside and even more breathtaking on the inside. We reached out to John, which is the event director, and he was extremely helpful from the very beginning. We booked this venue a few months prior to our party and John was there to help every step of the way. He is extremely quick with answering emails and phone calls and really cares about what the customers want and need. John was very flexible when it came to making payments, which made our life very easy when dealing with everything that comes along with party planning. He also allowed us to come by in the morning the day of the party and set up for hours before the guests arrived. We wanted to do the decorating ourselves because we had a specific vision and John was very nice about that. Once we got there for the party everything that I had asked for was complete. I was thrilled with how beautiful and perfect the room looked. The wait staff was extremely helpful and willing to work. There was never a moment when a single guest had to ask for something because the wait staff was already on top of it. Cocktail hour was amazing! Reception was amazing! The food was just great. I could not ask for a better experience. I will definitely be throwing more parties at Split Rock and will recommend them to all with no hesitation. Thank you again John & staff!!

My wedding was September 8th 2018 at Pelham Split Rock and couldn’t be more pleased! John, the event manager was absolutely amazing! First off, this venue is not a typical reception venue which is why we chose it in the first place, we wanted to give our guests a different experience than the normal catering hall and host a complete outdoor reception. Split Rock allowed us to execute this vision perfectly! We utilized all the spaces and our guests loved it! There was flexibility for them to move around indoors and outdoors, we had our beautiful outdoor dance floor, cigar rollers and even a food truck pulled up right to our dance floor! John ensured that everything we asked for was executed, he went above and beyond to customize our food, desserts and experience! The food was delicious and plentiful, our guests had nothing but compliments on everything that was being served, from the cocktail hour to the specialty desserts from Conti’s who also did my wedding cake which was incredible and delicious! The drinks were also on point and I never had an empty glass thanks to John, he was always watching my glass and ready with a refill at the drop of a hat. This venue is so flexible and open minded, they are willing to work with your budget and offer you an all-inclusive package that really is a good bang for your buck.

On top of all of this, we took a risk on an outdoor reception and unfortunately were met with a little drizzle just as the reception was about to start, I must say John worked his butt off to reformat our outdoor setup inside and then back outside

I just had my wedding there on August 25, 2018. It was AMAZING! I was initially drawn to the venue because it was different. Not like the traditional ballrooms that you would usually see a wedding held in. We didn’t want our wedding to be that stuffy. This place was perfect and completely fit our personalities. There are two tents. The main tent is where all the guests are seated and dinner is served. The second tent was a lounge space where we had a cigar roller, photo booth, charge bar, and highball tables. The dance floor was outdoors between the two tents. On the lawn, we had cornhole, beer pong, and putting. It was the right amount of laid back while still formal and classy. My guests were all impressed and had a great time. There was something for everyone to do. Service was amazing, food was great. John and his staff are super easy to work with. Love this place!

I just had my wedding at Split Rock on 6/15/18 and I can't say enough amazing things about our day. I looked in to a few places before finally deciding on Split Rock. Not only did I come to find that I knew the event coordinator there, but the place is just beautiful. You get the whole venue for your event, and with it being on a golf course, your view is perfect. The gazebo, the indoor tent, the pavilion for cocktail hour, the outside patio - so many different areas for your special day! John was amazing to work with, and he went above and beyond to make sure the venue looked exactly how I envisioned and then some - everything was perfect!!!! My maître-d was always available to help me, she even sewed my bustle on my dress because it had torn while dancing!! My bridal attendant, Sarah, was on point - she was always making sure me and my husband had a drink, she brought us food, she helped me at the end of the night with my dress, she helped pack up all our stuff and load it into our car, she was sweet and wonderful to work with - I truly can't say enough good things about her! Split Rock, the staff, the location, everything about it was more than I could have imagined, and I would recommend them 100% for your wedding, or any event for that matter!

I recently had my wedding at Split Rock and can't even begin to explain how phenomenal everything was. First, John is the most amazing, caring, and attentive person to work with. During the planning process, we made multiple visits to the location and called and emailed countless times, and every single time, John made sure to thoroughly answer everything and with a smile on his face. Planning everything with him involved was super easy and they are very accommodating and able to make changes to their packages to accommodate each weddings needs, something you don't see very often. We did the all-inclusive package which includes flowers, DJ and cake and all of the vendors were awesome and easy to work with. Flash forward to the day of, and everything was done perfectly! The day was better than I could imagine and every single employee was sweet and attentive. I wouldn't change a thing about the day and am so happy that we decided to get married here!

Where do I begin? John and Jessica went above and beyond for my welcome baby shower. I was in a jam where my original venue fell thru. I was freaking out, with just a few days till my event, they were able to accommodate me. They were very detailed, patient and hands on. John made sure to call in on facetime while he was on holiday, to make sure everything was good to go. Jessica was there bright and early overseeing the staff, which were all amazing as well. The bartender Johnathan was so down to earth and his drinks were on point. The set up, environment and food were amazing. The kitchen staff out did themselves, my guest are still raving about how delicious the food was. You can tell it was fresh and not frozen like some places. I can go on forever about Splitrock, it was an awesome experience. We were treated like royalty. I can't wait to have future events at Splitrock. The Maitre D, his name is Edwin, was on top of EVERYTHING and was extremely nice and accommodating. The bridal attendant, Julissa, made sure I had everything I needed and most importantly made sure that I ate.

All the staff members were very professional and the food was delicious, I am still getting compliments on the venue and the food.

I don't know where to beginning! Split rock made my wedding dreams come true. This review is well overdue, my wedding was in November of 2016. This venue was my first choice when looking for an outdoor beautiful venue that could accommodate me depending on weather during that season and I'll tell you split rock was verrryyy accommodating. To add to that the response time and professionalism that John showed us during this whole experience made me so comfortable. I have referred this venue to soooo many people. You really won't be let down in booking this venue! Trust me

I booked my daughter’s Sweet Sixteen at Pelham Bay & Split Rock Golf Course for July 2nd, 2017. John was very helpful to me; especially that I had to plan this party at the last minute. He was able to answer all my questions and made things very easy for me. He was always willing to speak with me, respond to all of my emails and answer any questions in detail and in a timely fashion. John handled all of our party details with ease. The venue itself is well taken care of and looked beautiful for the event. The staff was amazing. The food was delicious! Everyone was very impressed and happy. The attendant and Matre'D were unbelievable to my daughter and our guests! The event decorator was able to come in early and start decorating. The DJ was able to set up without any issues. By the time I arrived, an hour prior to the event, everything was almost finished.
I would still highly recommend this venue. Everything was perfect and our guest really loved the location, the food, the service and the overall experience. Thank you so much to the staff who really took care of us, they helped to make my daughter’s dream of being a princess for a day, a reality.

Talk about the perfect location and the perfect Bridal Shower... Everything was absolutely amazing from the location, to the staff, to the food, and most importantly the two Event Coordinators, John and Jessica. I had my wedding at Split Rock in June 2016. This review has been a long time coming (sorry!), but as my husband and I come up on our 1 year anniversary, all of the wonderful memories that were made that day come to mind! We were living in Maryland but planning a New York wedding. We had done extensive online research about a ton of places, and my mom who lives in NY also went around to potential venues. When she visited Split Rock, she loved it and told me she thought we were going to love it. It was the last placed we looked, because we booked it on the spot. The grounds were beautiful and provided a lovely backdrop for the celebration and photos. I was SO bummed when it ended up raining that day and we didn’t get to take all of the pictures I had been looking forward to taking, but the ones we have are beautiful! (We had started with the party and dance floor set up outdoors and dinner inside the pavilion, but they were keeping their eye on the forecast and when they saw that rain was coming, they VERY quickly switched gears and helped make sure we had our first dance and intros outside and then everyone was inside by the first rain drop). We were the only party there, which is something I was very concerned about with other giant venues that had the capacity for multiple events. I wanted an intimate wedding with just our party, and Split Rock is the perfect place for that. The food was delicious! The staff was amazing, professional, and so friendly. John was our coordinator and he was the best!!! He made everything SO easy, which is exactly what a bride wants, especially a bride planning from a different state! I am so thankful to him for making our day so wonderful! Guests were still raving about the party months after we said I do! We had a truly wonderful experience with Split Rock and we would recommend it to anyone thinking of having a wedding or other event there in a heartbeat! Thank you!!!

Thanks to the BEST event planner Mr. John Braca who made my 50th B'day party one that is still talked about to this day. Words cannot describe the way the staff embraced us and personally, I felt like royalty. The level of professionalism exhibited by the staff overall was superb. Book this venue if you want to be able to make your wedding unique. John Braca let us have all the flexibility to have our perfect day. The staff truly works with you to get your day exactly right and provides all the help you need from the florist to transportation and everything in between. They also do not nickel and dime you with settings and chairs - and they are very affordable!
They let us have everything we wanted and more. Thank you!

I had my daughter's bridal shower at Pelham Split Rock and I am so happy I chose this venue! From my first meeting with Johnnie Braca and throughout the planning process it was stress free. He was most accommodating, attentive, and available to my many questions and requests. The shower was perfect!! (kudos to Edwin, our maitre'd). The food, the setting and the service was wonderful. My daughter and guests were raving from the start. I cannot say enough good things about Split Rock or the staff and would recommend this place to anyone interested in throwing a GREAT party!!

My granddaughter Meghan had her Sweet 16 at Split Rock in August. I would like to praise the staff at Split Rock for a wonderful experience, not only for my granddaughter, but also for all of us who attended. From the time that we first met with the staff to choose the menu and the decor, to the night of the party, everything was well orchestrated. The staff was knowledgeable and there were no glitches. The night of the party was truly magical, the food superb and the wait staff did a great job. I would truly recommend the Split Rock to my friends and family.

Pelham Bay & Split Rock Golf Course is an amazing venue that offers first class service. In August I had my daughter's Sweet 16 party there. From the first moment that we met John Braca and saw the place we knew this was the place to have her party. The rooms are beautiful, the staff is extremely attentive and the food is delicious!!! John worked closely with us to personalize her party the way she wanted it. He had to deal with all the crazy emails from my daughter and me. The evening was magical and my daughter still talks about how she felt like a princess. All of our guests had an amazing time. Thank you Split Rock for making Meghan's Sweet 16 perfect!!!!

We had our wedding here on 9/1/16 and it was breathtaking!! Our guest could not stop talking about how beautiful everything was, plus how much fun they had. The staff is on point. We never wanted for anything Edwin or Dawna was right there anticipating our every need! Edwin is the absolute best!! He kept us moving along and made sure we had fun and enjoyed our day. I didn't want the party to end. Go with the all inclusive package. The cake vendor is the absolute best too. My cake was sooooo good and exactly like the pictures we sent them. John Braca dealt with my crazy emails with professionalism, and I felt like I was his only client. They are very attentive and everyone was on the butts working to setup the room better than I could have ever imagined. You won't regret booking your event here!! Rain kept us from having the perfect outdoor ceremony but John Braca didn't let a lil rain, rain on our parade. I'm still on cloud 9 and can't believe I am now a married woman!! Thank you Split Rock for making our day so memorable and absolutely amazing!!

Highly recommended venue! From planning to celebrating, every step of the way was easy and fun! Tammi was attentive to all our requests and desires. She saw our vision and made sure to convey that to the staff. On the day, all the staff was highly attentive to our guests' needs. The decor was beautiful. As the Bride, I looked at over 12 different venues and was sadly disappointed and getting beyond frustrated. Once I went to the Split Rock Golf Course, I immediately fell in love! The Split Rock Golf Course is the place to be! It is amazingly affordable. You will not disappoint and the staff is always available for any questions or concerns. John Braca is the Senior Private Event Manager and he is fabulous. Whether you're getting married for the first time or renewing your vows; he will cater to your every need. Very knowledgeable, honest, and most importantly, solely focused on the couple to be. Mr. Braca leaves no detailed unturned, he creates a wedding vision of perfection. The gazebo is stunning for an outdoor wedding and the golf greens are spectacular! This is an understatement!The Split Rock Golf Course is the Bronx's jewel! I encourage EVERY New York City Bride to go to the Split Rock!

I had my wedding here last year May (2015). There are no words to express how much I loved having my special day at Split Rock! Tammi and her team pay exceptional attention to detail, keep everything under control, had the answers to my questions before I asked them and made me feel super super special. Tammi literally answered my many many many emails with in minutes! I had two wonderful ladies, Marielis (the second name escapes me-sorry!) as my bridal attendants who never left my side, took care of my needs and made sure I was comfortable. Our Maitre d, Edwin, for the night was calming and funny at the same time and made my husband and I feel right at home. It's been 9 months since our wedding but we still remember, and won't forget, the way they made us feel! Our guests couldn't stop talking about the delicious food, service and look of Split Rock. I wish I had specific names to share but I was so happy with my experience before and during my wedding! The outside space is beautiful for the ceremony and the tent is elegant! I definitely recommend this venue, it's a modern space and feel and the service is awesome!

I had my wedding here this past October. The space was absolutely beautiful, and this place is definitely the best value you will find in New York City. The venue itself is gorgeous, you get extremely attentive service, and the food is delicious. While most venues in the city charge you thousands of dollars for what amounts to an empty building, at Pelham you will have access to an indoor/outdoor event space, a full waitstaff, a wedding coordinator, a bridal attendant, a rehearsal, tables, pretty chairs, linens, and plates and silverware. There is definitely something to be said for having your event at a place that really knows how to do weddings. Originally we looked at more "eclectic" spaces like museums, and historical societies, but for those spaces you literally had to bring in everything, and the costs added up very fast. We felt that we were able to get the best of both worlds, we had an experienced staff, and a venue that had the capacity to host a formal event, but at the same time, the building had a lot of character, and the outside views are gorgeous. On the day of the wedding, they literally took care of everything, and that is really what you want on your wedding day! When our rabbi was an hour late, they were able to offer champagne to our guests while they waited. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the space was. I only wish I had found this venue sooner in my search!

i got married here a yr ago & it was spectacular. i wrote a review shortly after my wedding. this review is for my anniversary though. so our 1st anniversary wasnt what we expected- we're now parents so the exotic/backpacking type travel we were thinking we'd take didnt happen! we decided to come back here for a quick lunch & stroll thru the course to reminisce on our pics. Tammi & her staff accomodate us w/a secluded table & allowed us just the perfect amt of svc while still allowing us our privacy. our server AJ was super accommodating & indulged us in the endless discussion of our day & viewing of our video. theyve seen hundreds of weddings, but they still have the knack to make u feel like they remember yours like yesterday!

My husband and I could not be happier with Pelham Bay and Split Rock Golf Courses. It was very hard finding a wedding venue in New York City that would work around our needs and not the other way around. After a long search, this venue was a like breath of fresh air (the staff were so accompanying and eager to make the day uniquely ours). Since they only run one event at a time, they were able to focus just on our wedding and give it the attention such a special event deserves. The place is beautiful (a hidden gem in the heart of Pelham Bay Park). We were married outside in front of their gazebo, which we highly recommend doing if you can; the photos were lovely. We had an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour in their Art Deco style Great Room and adjoining patio overlooking the grounds. We actually liked the Art Deco design so much that we incorporated it into our wedding décor. We had our reception in their gorgeous glass-enclosed Pavilion/Ballroom (which has great views of the gazebo and grounds). We picked their standard “Wedding Reception” menu (four course meal). The food was absolutely delicious, and their talented chef easily accommodated any guests who had food allergies/dietary restrictions. The staff (Tammi, Jessica, John and Marielis) did an amazing job both planning and executing our wedding. They handled all the details, and we just relaxed and enjoyed our big day. Many thanks to the event team there for making our wedding a dream come true!

I had a WONDERFUL experience working with John Braca at PSR. He personally managed every detail of my day, and made me feel very calm leading up to the wedding. He has great taste and that carried over into the whole event. The food was really good, the decor as well. I almost wish I had another huge event so I could work with him again!

We could not have picked a more perfect location for our wedding! From the moment we went to take a look, we knew it was the one. The grounds are BEAUTIFUL and the staff is extremely professional and talented at everything they do.
Before the wedding, we worked with the event coordinator Tammi to make sure everything at the wedding would be just like we wanted it. She was easy to contact and very quick to respond via phone or email. I know I was a pain in the butt with all the endless emails and she was so patient and kind with me. She explained everything and answered every question I could even think of. We went to drop off all our reception things a few days before the wedding and Tammi made us feel at ease and we left that day knowing that it was all under control and there was no need to bug out about anything. I knew she was going to make our day perfect.
The wedding day came and we saw our visions come to life at the venue. Everything was so, so beautiful and the staff was everything we could have dreamed of. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Tammi and her assistant Johnny were both there to make sure everything ran smoothly and we knew where we needed to be and when. Our maitre d Edwin was FABULOUS at making sure all our guests were having a good time and that my new husband and I were enjoying ourselves. My bridal attendant Marielis was WONDERFUL and she made sure that I always had a drink in my hand, food on my plate and a beautiful fluffy dress. The bartenders were amazing and had so much fun with all our guests.
The food was delicious. Our guests are still talking about all the wonderful food options they had during the event.
I could not thank the staff enough for making this the best day of our lives. Everyone was so good to us and really talented at what they do. We would recommend this venue and these staff members to absolutely everyone we know <3 Especially Tammi for being so wonderful to me. xo

We threw a black tie Wedding at Pelham bay 2 weeks ago and it was amazing! Tammi DeVito, event director is absolutely amazing! . The whole process was so easy. She makes you feel so at ease. Tammi is open to any idea you have. During the months before the wedding we stopped by the venue on several occasions to either ask her questions or look at the venue again. She was always so accommodating. Any time I emailed her with questions she would always get back to me super quick. I can't thank her enough!
The venue is absolutely beautiful! The lounge itself has incredible high ceilings and a very art deco Miami vibe. It is so elegant. There is only one event held there at a time so all of the staff's attention are on your guests while they are there. Edwin (Maitre d) was so awesome! He is very serious but makes you feel at ease during the event. Him and his assistant (who I forgot her name was also amazing) guided me throughout the evening. In fact, all of the staff at Pelham was so accommodating and helpful. The cocktail hour ran seamlessly but, was cut short because of my photographer but they came and asked if we wanted to cut cocktail hour or reception, we choice cocktail hour did not want to cut the dancing part of the evening. There was candle light everywhere, and everything was so beautiful and elegant. The food was amazing and there was so much of it! We had really heavy rain during our wedding so we couldn't use the gazebo for the ceremony or patio but it was okay because everything was so beautiful inside! After the cocktail hour everyone was moved into the pavilion and everyone was in awe of how beautiful it was in there. The draping of the pavilion is gorgeous. Edwin, and the rest of the staff made sure all of our guests needs were catered to all night. So many people told us that this was the best wedding they had ever been to! Our wedding was amazing thanks to Pelham Bay Split Rock! We are so glad we chose this as our venue! Will use them again

This place is awesome! I got married last March 2014 and am still getting compliments on how nice my wedding was. Tammi is great to work with and Victor is amazing, he really oversaw that everything went perfectly during the day. I chose the buffet menu and was not disappointed in the food, it was delicious. My ceremony and reception was indoors in the lounge but my guest list was small about 40 people. In the nicer weather and for bigger receptions they have pavilions on the grounds that can hold over 200 people. Price was reasonable also, I paid $55 per person plus tax and gratuities which included the space, food, wine, beer, soda, tables & chairs, choice of linen color and the cake. I would highly recommend Split Rock for any funtion.

We considered ourselves lucky to find this venue for our recent reception, and the day couldn't have gone more smoothly. Although we had over a year to plan everything, so many of the last minute details were quickly upon us, and they were handled completely and professionally by Tammi. If she was elsewhere, Jessica was there to help out and spend as much time with us as needed. Day of, Tammi, then John and Jessica ran a tight show, and our attendant Blair was one step ahead of us from start to finish. You'd be hard pressed to find more overall value, unless you went far, far away from the city. The food was very good, setup (tables, band, changeovers) was well executed, and they were generally flexible with special requests. Thanks for making our day memorable!

The space is beautiful and the grounds are amazing, can't wait to see our photos on the greens (we were able to drive golf carts around for photos which was alot of fun!)

Our right hand man Edwin was amazing at his job. My husband jokes that every time he turned around Edwin was right behind him with a new drink, always making sure he was taken care of. We could not say enough about him having to deal with our crazy families but he did a great job!

For any couple getting married, most will understand the tremendous pressure and anxiety one feels relative to booking the right venue, videographer, photographer, flower vendor, DJ / band, etc. So, as we began looking for venues, we were looking for a place that not only was reasonably priced and provided a great ambiance, but, above all, afforded high-quality service. Early on in our search, we visited Pelham Bay Split Rock golf course. We met with Tammi and Victor – the two amazing people in charge of spearheading wedding services for the club. Needless to say, we were hugely impressed with their professionalism, responsiveness and warmth and ultimately made our decision not to visit additional venues subsequent to the meeting. Throughout our entire experience – from the day we first met with them through the day of the wedding – we were consistently blown away by the service extended to us. They not only went through the motions of meeting with us and providing responses to all of our questions, but they went above and beyond to make us feel like family. Words cannot adequately express how grateful we are to Tammi and Victor, as well as the entire staff, for making our wedding day so wonderful and memorable. We hope this review helps to encapsulate the exceptional service that they provide. As far as we are concerned, our wedding is the first of many more events that we plan on having with Pelham Bay. We couldn’t be happier!

We had our ceremony and reception at Split Rock last month and I seriously was blown away from start to finish! Tammi was so helpful during the entire planning process, her vendor suggestions were great, they really took care of everything. Day of, everything was perfect - I thought so but so did my now husband, as well as our family/friends - no drama, everything ran super smooth. They ran a tight ship the day of, so well organized, Victor and bridal attendants were awesome too! They made sure everyone had what they wanted. The food/drink was delicious and everyone has been raving about what a hidden gem this place is. Split Rock and its staff are a real find, I am so lucky to have found this place! I wish I could do it all over again! Price wise, I feel it was a really great value - almost half of the average Manhattan wedding price per head (that we looked at) with way more included, not to mention beautiful out of the city feeling location. Tammi and crew were so great during our wedding planning. She answered all of my questions quickly and they offer a great package. We fell in love with the location and it was convenient for everyone who attended our wedding. The day of our wedding everything went smoothly and seriously there were no problems at all that even my maid of honor was a bit shocked because there is always at least 1 problem but at Split Rock they are extremely organized. We loved this place and we are sure you will too!!!!!!

AMAZING!!! "Looks like out of a movie," is all we heard all night from many of our guests. Tami was Awesome! She knows her stuff very well! Competitive & well priced for such a beautiful location. Food was great, Cakes was beautiful, Staff was great, DJ we hired (who often plays there - Pure Entertainment) was great! We Loved It! We got married on July 11th, 2013. Highly recommend it and we would do it all over again! :)

I truly feel like Pelham Bay Split Rock Golf Course is a hidden gem in NYC. It's a beautiful location for a wedding.

Tami and Victor were always extremely accommodating and responsive to all of my questions and requests. I really enjoyed working with both of them. I cannot believe what I was able to get for my money and that no request was ever denied or too complicated.

Everyone was asking us how we found this wedding venue because it was so cool and different. It really is a beautiful place. The food is good, the service is impeccable, and the grounds are stunning. Highly highly recommend.

When my husband and I first got engaged, I was against the idea of a wedding- I figured that a wedding in NYC would cost way too much and the hassle of organizing everything was not something I was ready to deal with considering my busy work schedule. Due to my then fiance's persistence (and the suggestion to have a wedding on New Years Eve), we started to visit some venues.
I viewed pictures of Split Rock Golf Course online and figured that it would be the perfect venue, but assumed that we wouldn't be able to afford to have our reception there.
Meeting with Tammi DeVito not only calmed our concerns about the economic aspect of planning a wedding, but actually made me extremely excited to plan our wedding.
Tammi was able to get us in contact with all of the vendors that we needed for our big night. She was always available to answer any of my questions and was able to personalize our menu.
Victor, the head maitre d'at Split Rock made the big day run smoother than expected. The venue looked absolutely stunning and all of our guests could not stop raving about the quality and variety of the food. The party was amazing and it is all thanks to Tammi, Victor, and the entire staff at Split Rock Golf Course!

I'm not sure I have enough positive adjectives to describe our entire wedding experience at Split Rock. From the moment we toured the venue we knew it was the one. Split Rock is so different from any other venue in the area, especially coming from Long Island - the venue itself if beautiful, they are so flexible, the food is delicious, and the staff is truly there to make your day the most special. We had a large wedding, so we had an outdoor dance floor, and of course it rained for 5 minutes during the introductions, but John and his staff didn't miss a beat to make sure our wedding kept flowing and went off without a glitch. I wasn't big into micro-managing every minute detail, so it was nice that there was none of that necessary - we told them our vision and what we pictured, and they set everything up so beautifully, from pictures to a drink station to a candy bar, and even the food stations. I would recommend Split Rock over and over again, for any occasion no matter how big or small. John and his team are the absolute best!

Tammy is great! The venue is beautiful! They have been so responsive to my needs and answer my emails within minutes and even seconds as a bride with anxiety that is important!!

Finding Tammy, Victor and their team was the best thing ever! I fell in LOVE with the place and the service also loved that it was located in the Bronx not too far from the City.They have very reasonable prices, and go above and beyond to make you feel special on your day.

We had our wedding at Split Rock in September, and it was the best wedding ever! I've gotten so many compliments from our guests. My husband and I were paying for the wedding ourselves, so cost was always concern for us, but you will not find a better value for your money. We did an indoor/outdoor event, with cocktail hour outside on the patio and the reception in the main tent. We kept a bar open on the patio and fire pits as well, so we had guests in and out all night. The two spaces were perfect. I barely ate at the actual event, but the food at all of the tastings we went to was great, and all of our guests said they enjoyed their meals! We worked with John, and he was incredibly responsive, especially in the last few weeks leading up to the big day. I had a few random requests that they were able to accommodate perfectly. Even on the day of, John, our Maitre'D and our Bridal Attendant were there every step of the way, until the very end of the night. We also used their preferred DJ company...Top Notch, and I couldn't have asked for a better DJ and Emcee...everyone talked about how much fun they had dancing. It was the perfect night!

While I have not had my wedding yet, I am have been nothing but pleased with my service from Tammi, Jessica and John at Pelham Bay. It is a truly beautiful venue at a great cost, which has made my dream wedding a possibility. The food is great, from what I tried at the Bridal Show tasting, and the grounds are breath-taking. My only issue thus far has been an inability to accommodate my preferred rehearsal time due to other events being scheduled. Can't wait for my big day!

Our wedding was Sunday August 6, 2017 and everything was perfect!! John and Jessica were very helpful! My Matre'D and Edwin were very attentive to us throughout the whole night. Food was delicious and service was outstanding!! Everything looked beautiful and they made me feel like I had the wedding of my dreams!! Our family and friends are still talking of how they loved everything about our wedding! Thanks Pelham Split Rock!!!

Pelham/Split Rock golf course is absolutley beautiful! The only real complaint that I have is i had to work with so many different people (i would have prefered 1 person to see us through the process as opposed to the three). Our day turned out to be more than we expected!

This venue is absolutely gorgeous. Not only is the food delicious, the service was perfect. I had both my ceremony and reception. You really get a lot for your money. The staff was quick in responding to all my questions and emails which I appreciated much and the accommodated Me for all the visits I needed to make. The only issue I had was the lack of electrical outlets and configuration where the reception was held. The Dj told me he was met with a lot of challenges which led to some changes being made in my slide shows and presentations I had.

The venue was absolutely beautiful and we fell in the love with the location immediately! Tammi and her team really know what they are doing and they stick to a strict schedule for everything so the wedding party and guests need to be on time! Our guests loved the food and open bar! They were very accommodating to our needs. My only feedback would be that they can be difficult to get in touch with at times because they are doing so many events throughout the year, but everything worked out. Additionally, the venue can only be accessed by car so guests who rely on public transportation need to create a plan on how to get there since there are no trains or buses.

We had the reception for our wedding at Pelham-Split Rock Golf Course. It's a beautiful facility, with indoor and outdoor space for use. We worked with a team of people, who were professional and accommodating when we had last minute requests, and quick to reply to email or phone calls. The night of the reception, the maitre d' even helped out one of my bridesmaids with an allergic reaction, and fixed my broken shoe!

I had my bridal shower here and was overall happy with the event. The tent outside is really pretty and the golf course is a beautiful back drop, especially if the weather is nice. The waitstaff that was working the event itself was fabulous. The event manage that we were working with was fairly flexible in allowing us to do what we wanted to do. One thing that did turn me off the day of the event was that the manager told us we would be able to come in early to set up before the staff and that all the tables would be set up the night before for us. When we arrived, the tables were not set up and because there was no staff in yet, my poor father and fiance were searching for tables and trying to set them up so we could get our stuff together. It was very frustrating. Once the manager arrived, I told him I was not happy with him telling me one thing and doing another and he made it seem like it wasn't his problem that this occurred. Other than that, we were satisfied. The food was fine, the drinks were great. The waitstaff were the true MVPs of the event!

We are at the very early stages of planning a summer wedding which is 18 months away; very early in the process to give a thorough review. John met with us and gave us a quick tour. The venue will suit our needs in terms of space and location. As we move forward, I hope John will be able to accommodate any changes or additions we may have.

It hurts to say that I’m giving this place a 3/5 stars because I truly love the location... Johnny, Julissa and Jessica were amazing BUT we had a few of things go wrong the day of our wedding and some of it is still haunting me. Nonetheless, we still don’t know what happened to our table number picture frames and months have gone by...asked via email several times...I was told it was being looked into and here we are into the new year (my wedding was back in September) and I have yet to hear anything back. I was hoping to use them for future events and I’m not even sure how they just disappeared. Kinda disappointed with the lack of follow up as if once my wedding was over that’s it all communication was lost. There was also a Bar Mitzvah right before my ceremony and I was assured before the wedding that everything will be ready in time before my guest were to arrive at 4:30pm. My guest and groom started to arrive and things were still being put out. During our toast they somehow forgot to pour champagne in our toasting glasses... so we toasted to the air. Some of the bartenders were rude to our family members. All of our guest complained about how terrible the food was... even til this day. Some didn’t get prime rib, others got an extremely small portion, the veggies were all raw and hard (I can agree with this because our veggies were hard as well) and the fish was inedible almost like an old taste. Unfortunately, I was told a month before the wedding that they hired a new chef and was assured his food was just as great as the food I tasted in previous times here (a major reason why my groom approved the venue). So it’s unfortunate and I appreciate the venue extending our party time because things ran late and it gave us a chance to enjoy it a little towards the end. But the food and service from some of the bartenders was distasteful and it’s disheartening that we will always be reminded of this. The lack of details and follow up is also upsetting until this day.

I recently went to split rock for a "consultation" for my wedding and the service I received was very lackluster. It was beyond rushed, I was in and out of there in 20 minutes. I felt rushed through my questions, I'm sure I didn't get to ask everything I wanted to ask. It felt as if the gentleman didn't want to be bothered. I've been there before and love the space, I am still considering it for my wedding so I will take another look. But if I were to decide no to this venue it would be because if the service I received. If that's the level of service that is given during a initial consultation, I would hate to see what the service would be if I decided to book.

I recently had my wedding here and although the ceremony and reception itself were fine, I was absolutely appalled at how I was treated in the hours prior to the start of the wedding. I was told my wedding party and I could show up 2 hrs before my official start time to set up the space and take pictures. However, when we got there, the previous party guests were still there. Despite asking multiple times, the staff refused to help figure out a solution between our two parties. In addition, my wedding party was rudely told to move out of the way, or just plain ignored when they asked questions.

This was an incredibly stressful part of an already nerve-wracking day. I ended having 30 minutes to prep, and barely got time to collect myself before the ceremony. Plus, my guests started arriving while many of the previous party guests were still milling in the lobby, which was very confusing for everybody. To be clear, this is not the fault of the earlier party- the venue should not have booked events so close together and definitely should have stepped in when this issue arose.

My fiancee and I heard so many great things about this venue. I personally have attended a sweet sixteen in this venue and loved it. The place is beautiful.

When it came to and I wanted to book this place for my future wedding, it was so annoying, taxing and unprofessional.

I had sent multiple emails with no response until about a month later and my fiancee tried calling multiple times with no response and all the calls ending in voicemails but no calls back. Then when we get the chance to speak to John, we were able to set an appointment.
The day comes and we arrive at the venue with our mom’s and John is nowhere. We are told to sit and wait and we waited for close to 45mins and still no John. Then an employee finally gets a hold of John and he then tells us John needs to reschedule and will contact us the next day but nothing further.
The next day comes and no call or anything.

We both feel we have wasted time and money (since we took an uber going and coming to the place). It was so unprofessional!

If you decide on this place just take the advice of you might be waiting FOREVER for an answer.

After emailing with both John and Jessica about a site visit, my fiance and I spent $100+ to rent a car (on a summer weekend) to visit the property and take a tour. At the end of the 30 minute meeting which was so lack luster in detail and enthusiasm, we are told that the dates we wanted are not available. WHY would you invite someone to see your property when the dates aren't available? We are so livid at the poor quality of service and communication from this venue.
