    Wedding of My Dreams

    Although we had planned our wedding outside; Cesar and his crew quickly transitioned it into inside due to the cool weather. The Food was great and everyone enjoyed their time. The staff was very professional and friendly. Love the setting.

    I fell in love with the look of Pecan Grove when I saw a photo online, and it fully lived up to my expectations! They were very accommodating to my requests, and offered reasonable pricing, with plenty of flexibility to up- or downgrade, depending on your budget and preferences. About halfway through my wedding planning time frame, the previous coordinator left for a new job, and I was initially concerned that this would complicate things. However, they helped me through the transition period, and I never had to worry about anything getting lost in the shuffle! Our wedding day was beautiful, and Kelsey was great about staying calm during all the last minute details.

    Kayla did an amazing job from start to finish with planning our day. The food was great, the decorations were just as I imagined and our guests had a blast! If you are looking for the total package, set up, clean up, food, and drinks, this is the perfect spot!

    Pecan Grove Country Club was the absolute perfect place for our wedding! Kayla (events coordinator) and Denys (Bar Manager) helped us organize our dream wedding-Fun and Elegant. Food was fantastic! They helped with everything to prepare and decorate to taking everything down. And the whole reception went smoothly, and we never had to worry about a thing! Definitely use PGCC if you want elegant, beautiful, and easy!

    At our Engagement party, we surprised the guest with a surprise wedding.
    The guests were very impressed with the venue and it's beauty. I received many compliments about how professional the staff and Bernadette Perez were. The staff was very responsive when the room needed a few changes for tables and made many good suggestions. The food was timely and the guest stated how good the food was, starting with the southwest egg roll, appetizer. A very nice room was provided so I could change from my party dress to my wedding dress. I would highly recommend Bernadette Perez and her staff at the Pecan Grove Plantation Country Club.

    Everything was perfect! We did not have to worry about one single item.
    Everyone had a wonderful time and the food was amazing.
    The staff and our wedding coordinator Bernadette Perez were a pleasure to work with.

    Bernadette and her staff provided professional advice and service meeting or exceeding our expectations. Bernadette managed the event personally and saw that the food and drink we're available and served in a timely manner. She took special care of the bride and groom with personal touches but made everyone feel special. We have received countless compliments on the event; venue, food, ambiance, and service.
    It was the wedding my daughter dreamed of and I will be forever thankful to Bernadette and the whole CC staff.

    Pecan Grove was beautiful, and Bernadette was amazing! Very helpful, always got back to me quickly, and was so incredible the day of the wedding. I didn't have to worry about anything! Our reception went so smoothly thanks to her! :)

    Pecan Grove Plantation Country Club proved to be a wonderful site for our daughter's wedding reception. It starts with the lovely exterior that our guests saw as they drove up. While pictures were still being taken at the church, the expert staff passed yummy hors d'oeuvres and guests could also enjoy assorted drinks and the display of cheese, fruit and veggies. I appreciated their attentiveness to keeping water glasses filled during the evening as well. The grand staircase was a great location for photos of the bride, the couple and the wedding party. Inside the ballroom, no decorations were needed other than the cakes, the chair covers and floral centerpieces. The buffet table being just outside of the ballroom made for smooth traffic flow. The food was delicious and guests seemed to enjoy the buffet very much. Champagne toasts were a success as everyone had a glass of champagne provided by the servers. The large dance floor was always full. We were very grateful to Clint for all his assistance in planning as this was the first wedding in either the bride's or the groom's families. His suggestions of venders were especially helpful and all of those vendors did very well. The ballroom fit well into our daughter's desire for her wedding and reception to be "simple and elegant." Thank you, Clint, and everyone at Pecan Grove Country Club!

    Andrew was right there through the whole ceremony/reception to help make things run smoothly. The food was excellent! The staff was super friendly & I could never have done it without Andrew's help! Beautiful venue with many photo ops! The best value for your money anywhere!!! I recommend it very highly!!

    Sarah at PGCC was AMAZING and wonderful to work with. I couldnt be happier with how everything turned out. I am speechless when it comes to the quality of everything. Amazing is the only word for them!!!

    Sarah at Pecan Grove was awesome to work with! She did everything in her powers to make our day wonderful and she succeeded! I couldnt be more happy with the staff from Pecan Grove! Everyone was professional and simply amazing. The food was amazing!!

    Sarah and the rest of the team at Pecan Grove Plantation Country Club are amazing! I was a VERY particular bride and insisted on being hands on in almost every aspect including decor. They really worked with me to make sure we had plenty of time to set up the ballroom.
    On the night of the wedding, things could not have gone smoother. Sarah took care of everything and made sure that the whole thing went off without a hitch. We were so relieved to be able to enjoy our wedding after 16 months of intense planning. Thank you PGPCC!

    This was the perfect location for us. Close to the church and hotels. Plus a beautiful atmosphere and great for pictures.

    First, Sarah Blancett, the catering director/planner was wonderful. We ended up having to move our date and she was willing to help and work with us. She is amazing! I have never seen anyone hustle, solve problems and do everything to make things perfect like Sarah. She is calm under pressure and is always smiling!

    The country club itself was beautiful. It was easy and readily available to out vendors and guests. We fit 220 people comfortably! The balcony views over looking the pond and fountain in the front and the gold course in the back, made for great photo locations not to mention how much our guests like to go and have quiet conversations.

    We had a sweetheart table were my husband and I sat and were served before anyone else. The guests were able to access the buffet outside and didn't cause any lines or disruptions with what was going on inside the ballroom. Cleanup was quick and was hardly noticeable with the guests.

    The food was incredible!!!! We had a tasting with Sarah and her head chef and went through several different options. They were so nice and accommodating and did not push anything on us. We had a candy bar which Sarah had setup after the meal. It looked spectacular and she did a great job also moving the cheese/appetizer table.

    The whole experience was perfect thanks to Sarah. She is incredibly flexible and will work to solve any problem and giving hints and suggestions along the way. She was so professional yet seemed like my best friend at the reception. She went as far as to stop what she was doing several times and fix the bustle on my dress. She even saw my husband holing an empty glass of beer in his hand and just came up and filled it up. She made sure all the details we wanted were done. We didn't have a wedding planner and didn't need one with Sarah. She was amazing!!!

    I would highly recommend Sarah and Pecan Grove!

    The country club itself was wonderful, able to accomodate everything we wanted for our guests and accomodated our outside vendors (DJ, florist, etc.) We loved the outside balcony space with the view of the golf course. We also liked the buffet placed outside the main ballroom because the line and clean up didn't distract attention from the reception events. The food was even more delicious than it was at our tasting and everything turned out exactly how we had planned it with the staff at Pecan Grove.

    What made Pecan Grove the absolute perfect venue for us was the staff. Sarah Blancett, the catering director at Pecan Grove CC, is a bride's dream. She was incredibly flexible and very attentive. She always made us feel like we were her only client and her service on the night of the wedding was just as professional and thorough as her attention to planning our event had been. Especially if you're going it without a planner, you can have the event of your dreams at Pecan Grove CC with Sarah's help.

    We used Pecan Grove CC for my daughter's wedding reception. The wedding coordinator can be slow answering her emails. However, as the day approached she was much more responsive.

    We were able to set up the decor the day before since they didn't have anything going on that Friday. When we were looking at the chair and table covers we noticed a few stains. We were using their recommended linen vendor LBL (see my review on them). This was not a Pecan Grove issue and the WC assured me the linen would be switched out. As far as I know this was done.

    On the day of the event everything went well. The DJ handled ALL the reception events, so make sure you get a good DJ. We used Rock n Robin (see my review) and he was great. The WC will not coordinate your time frame for toasts/cake cutting and such. This was understood from the beginning. She just makes sure everything is ok with the dealings of Pecan Grove CC. However, she will work with the DJ. The food was fantastic and all our guests raved about it. Sometime during the night, they did run out of a certain wine (everyone loved it), but they had a replacement wine. They also ran low on the beer and had to bring up more from the bar on the first floor. Just a slight delay. The waitstaff worked really hard and did an excellent job. The champagne they served was really good. I hate champagne, but their house brand was very good.

    Overall, we had a good experience with Pecan Grove CC. Everything else was great on their part, so we were all happy.

    The team at Pecan Grove really made our wedding a great experience. They ensured everything ran on time throughout the night. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice too. Overall the whole experience was pretty good.

    We had a wonderful experience having our wedding here! I couldn't have been happier with the venue and the packages they had to offer. Clint was a wonderful coordinator and head chef, he made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. He stayed throughout the whole event and made sure everything ran on time. He also was great in the pre planning stages, responding quickly to emails and setting up meeting times. Overall great value for your money and wonderful wedding reception!! Can't wait for the pictures!

    Sarah promised me that I would not have to think about anything on my wedding and she followed through on that. She moved the wedding along at a comfortable pace and all I had to do was smile for the camera. Even when my parents got lost and we had to wait for them to start the ceremony, she was flexible and reassuring. Everyone is talking about how nice our wedding was. Thank you Sarah for putting together such a memorable event for us.

    Pecan Grove worked with our budget and any special issues that came up regarding the planning of our event. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The food was excellent and everyone in our party enjoyed the venue.

    I wish I could give such wonderful reviews as those above. I was promised such fantastic service but so many things were not right about our wedding that I may run out of space, I'll try to be brief. Such a shame given that the club had come so highly recommended!

    - Poor communication from coordinator, sometimes it took over 7 days to receive email replies.

    - Poor organisation, received concerning phonecalls as close to 2 days prior to the wedding to 'confirm' some pretty major aspects of the wedding which had long since been set in stone eg. the date of the wedding, the type of dinner (sit down -v- buffet). Getting such key details incorrect so close to a wedding was a great source of stress.

    - At the rehearsal the day before the wedding, we were left to our own devices while the coordinator instructed the cleaners and team who were setting up for the Halloween party that night and a number of the wedding party felt that she was inattentive and rude to them – which, again, when you’re paying top dollar for a wedding, that is not the service you expect!

    - I was informed, by the coordinator, that there was no need for an ‘on the day’ coordinator, she would serve as my coordinator and I should not waste my money on an outsider as she had done this many times before. What I received instead was chaos!

    - Wasn't told @ time of booking that we couldn't get in to decorate the night before due to a kids halloween party. I was ASSURED that the cleaning crew would be there from 6am to clean and coordinator would be there from 8am to decorate. In reality, coordinator arrived at CC after 11am and my bridesmaids arrived to discover NO decorations in place. In short, the groom ended up decorating the venue an hour before the wedding started, which meant our pre-wedding photoshoot didn't take place, we had to miss almost all of our reception to take pictures (even had to extend it by an hour ($200 for the DJ) just so we could get our first dance in- which they also tried to charge us for!!) and then we ended up losing the light we needed to get our pictures taken outside!

    -While this was going on with the decorations, I arrived with another bridesmaid to the club to get ready. We were getting changed and all of a sudden members of the public started to use the restrooms in the suite. Coordinator DID NOT, AT ANY TIME, inform me that the ‘bridal suite’, which she called it, would be used by anyone else on the day. She told me it was a room for my bridesmaids and I to get ready ahead of the wedding – she did NOT tell me that it was a public restroom. Furthermore, she would not deal with my bridesmaids on the day, she was rude and obnoxious to them, insisted on dealing with me (a huge no-no to bring drama to a Bride’s lap on the day of her wedding, but she insisted) and THEN she proceeded to call me a liar to my face on my wedding day!!!!!

    She was nowhere to be seen at the time the wedding was due to start – actually, that’s not entirely true as she was seen waiting tables in the bar/restaurant, when she should have been giving direction to the wedding party. The ceremony started late, in spite of everyone being ready to start on time, just for the simple fact that there was no one coordinating the bridal party on the day, which again, pushed us back, late for everything else to follow.

    We didn't get our hors d'oeuvres of quesidillas, the house salad was a plate of lettuce and they served the wrong potatoes. I was told I couldn't cut the cake when I wanted to, she kept coming up to us during our meal asking stupid questions, tried to charge me $900 that we'd already paid and implied I was lying about having paid it, our favours weren't put out on a table like we'd been told they would so more than half our guests didn't get them, I could go on and on AND ON!!! I've also not received a reply to my letter of complaint which I sent over a week ago.

    Poor service all round, especially considering the amount of $$ we spent on the wedding especially when we were insured a 'perfect day' and instead, missed most of it cause of the venues mistakes - AND as we were leaving, she had the cheek to ask me to go online and give them a raving review, maybe if they'd given us the day we'd paid for I'd be giving a better review!!!!
