We are so thankful and grateful to Pearl Paper Studio for the incredible photos they took of our special day. The BEST in the game
Ben and Karis were nothing short but amazing. We had to reschedule our wedding due to Covid, but ended up using our photographer Steve for a micro wedding on our original date. The photos were breathtaking with their natural lighting style and were everything we had hoped for. We just recently had our actual wedding and had Steve and Gabe as our photographers. Once again, a pleasure to work with and fit right in with bridal party. Super outgoing and very easy to work/talk with. Everyone we have encountered at Pearl Paper has been so kind and helpful. We absolutely loved our engagement shoot as well as micro wedding photos and cannot wait to see our actual wedding photos because we know they will be stunning. Great Photographers!
We loved working with the Pearl Paper team for our wedding! Our wedding was originally back in March and we had to postpone due to COVID, but Ben and Karis were super flexible and and were able to work with us to reschedule the big day. Ed and Jeanie were our photographers and they were amazing, they made us feel so comfortable and by the end of the night they honestly felt like extended family. We received our photos about a month after the wedding and we are in love with them, couldn't be happier. We highly recommend!!!

Picture Perfect Wedding!
Karis, MJ and the entire Pearl Paper Studio team were amazing leading up to my wedding. As a COVID bride who had to reschedule their day, PPS worked with us to solidify our new date as well as help me plan the schedule for the day of. Our wedding day was PICTURE PERFECT with their help. Dream Wedding Pictures
Pearl Paper Studio shot our June 2019 wedding and we cannot say enough good things about them! Our main photographer was Steve, and he shot our engagement session about a year before our actual wedding. I knew we had made the right decision hiring Pearl Paper Studio after our wonderful virtual initial meeting with Ben, but after I saw the engagement pictures there was no doubt in my mind. The entire process of working with them was seamless, my emails were always answered promptly, pictures were always delivered ahead of schedule and Steve and AnnMarie brought joy and calm to a very chaotic and HOT outdoor June wedding. I have had endless amounts of people ask me/DM me asking me who shot our photos. They hang proudly in the hallway of our home and they all look like pieces of art. We will cherish these pictures and memories made with them forever.

We found out Peal paper studio through Ben Lau photography. My husband was groomsmen for his fried’s wedding and Ben was their photographer. We loved his style and reached out to him for our own wedding. Unfortunately he wasn’t available but he recommended us his sister vendor “Pearl Paper studio” and I won’t regret any second to chose them as my photographer. Steve was our main photographer and he did above and beyond. So easy to work with, very friendly and professional. We got our pictures back less than a month after wedding. Everyone loved our pictures! Highly recommend this vendor.

Hands down the best wedding photographers in the business. This mom and pop business delivers like the big shops but better. From the moment I met Ben I felt like a part of the family. Every step of the way they were professional, responsive, and caring. Everyone involved in our day was incredible. The photographers take charge to make sure they get the job done but also have fun with you at the same time. They accommodated all of my crazy "pinterest" ideas with no complaints. At the end of the day our pictures were absolutely incredible.

The Pearl Paper Team is the Best Around!
I'm writing this after pouring over my amazing wedding photos which arrived WEEKS earlier than planned (we just got married in September!). There are not enough great things I could say about Ben, Karis, MJ and the team at Pearl Paper. From start to finish they were so easy to work with and helped us define our style (when we had no clue what we were looking for, and realized my husband and I were on totally different pages!). After getting a feel for our awkward nature during our engagement shoot, MJ worked with us on our wedding day, making us feel perfectly comfortable (and not over-posed or photo-fatigued) while still capturing every photo we'd hoped for. There are no words to describe how truly amazing it was to work with Pearl Paper Studio! I was extremely grateful that we were able to book them to help capture memories for my wedding. They do not over complicate things and make it simple from day one. Ben and Karis was wonderful to work with from the start of our wedding process. From helping us figuring out the timeline for the day of too offering suggestions to other vendors that we can possibly use for our wedding. For our wedding day, my husband and I chose MJ as our main photography and our second photographer was Benson who was the ultimate dynamic duo! They were absolutely AMAZING to work with and to interact with on the day of our wedding. Both of sides of our families praise them as they did such a great job! I hired Pearl Paper based on my friends' recommendations of them and their quality of their work. I loved how they shot their images and their editing style. Once I met Ben and Karis, I felt very much at ease! They took the time to make sure our styles and ideas were compatible. Pearl Paper Studio was by far our favorite vendor from our big day. We are so happy with the way our photos came out overall. As a bonus we feel that we got a great value! Our lead photographer, Steve, and secondary shooter, AnnMarie, were both AMAZING. We were on a pretty tight time schedule, but Steve kept us moving along without making us feel rushed. Him and AnnMarie kept us laughing and really made our time with them an enjoyable experience. Pearl Paper Studio was also extremely thoughtful and accommodating in sending me some photos early when my grandmother passed away shortly after our wedding. I cannot say enough about how wonderful Ben and Karis are, as well as their team. From the beginning to the very end, they were fantastic. Genuinely nice people who are there to make the process as easy as possible. They walked us through the day of and pointed out things we never would've thought of. Their attention to detail and professionalism eases your mind and you know you are in good hands.
This translates to their team as well. MJ and Steve were our photographers for the day of. Not only were we impressed with them but, so were our bridal party and guests. I was frazzled the morning of, they came in and took over the reins. Steve took care of the guys, got them dressed in their tuxes and made sure they got to the shuttle on time. MJ helped me make some last-minute decisions and was a calming force throughout the day.
All in all, they are a fantastic group of people and we can't say enough about how much we love our photos. Truly something we will cherish forever.

I can't say enough great things about Pearl Paper Studio. Owners, Ben and Karis are incredibly responsive and helpful. Steve was our main photographer for our engagement shoot and wedding day and he was such a pleasure to work with. My husband and I are usually awkward taking pictures, and Steve made it such comfortable experience. Our wedding photos came out even better than I imagined. There were many candid pictures taken that we weren't aware of and those became our favorite ones! Steve and Nics made sure to capture every special moment and detail of our day. I love how you can look through my album and the whole thing tells a story. Their prices were very fair and the quality exceeds some of the most expensive portfolios I've seen. I would highly recommend them to anyone getting married!

Awesome photographers
We were really struggling to find a photographer who was both affordable and had experience working with South Asian weddings. We hired Pearl Paper Studios after seeing their work on a family member's wedding. We were so excited to see that they had just started offering services in Maryland where we were getting married. Pearl Paper Studios is not only affordable, but the quality of their photographs are exceptional. They are true artists. They were such a pleasure to work with, from the moment we reached out to them to when we got our photographs. They were so flexible with us and so professional during all of our wedding events. They never got frustrated, even when guests were asking them to take photos using their cell phones. I would recommend Pearl Paper Studios to anyone looking for wedding photographers. They captured our events better than we could have imagined.

Great Photographer
Pearl Paper Studio is great! Ben and Karis are professional but also extremely personable and make you feel extremely confident when putting your wedding day in their hands. We met with Ben when we booked and he was great- showed us tons of photos to figure out what we really liked and then matched us with Steve as our main photographer for our big day.
We met Steve for the first time when we did our engagement session and he was great! He instantly put my husband and I at ease and got some amazing shots at the Asbury Park boardwalk.
I mostly dealt with Karis (Ben's wife) via email throughout the process. She was thorough and quick to answer any questions we had.
For the day of Ann Marie was our Second photographer (Steve being the main) and they were both excellent! We never felt like we were being bothered throughout the day and Steve was super excited to get some great shots with the fall foliage and beautiful sunset in the background. We cannot say enough great things about Pearl Paper. We can't wait to see our final pictures!

Amazing Photography
We found Pearl Paper Studio through Instagram - I found a wedding photo that I absolutely loved that they were tagged in, looked at their Instagram page and immediately fell in love. I set up an appointment and booked right then. The lighting and style of the photos is so unique and original. The professionalism and artistry of the photographers is so refreshing. On our wedding day, Steve was like another maid of honor to me. He helped me put on my shoes, my veil, helped carry my dress around during photos. He is a wedding pro! He was working so hard the entire day. We really appreciated his dedication to getting great photos for us. We had such an amazing experience with Pearl Paper Studio. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for true artistry in their wedding photos.

We hired Pearl Paper Studios for our wedding day photography, and were so happy with the results! Stephen and Edmund were our photographers, and they were a pleasure to have by our side during the entire wedding day, and got some amazing shots. Amazing! Ben & Karis did not disappoint in their service for my engagement and wedding photos. They were so friendly and easy to approach when I was looking into photographers. I told them what kind of photos I wanted to take and they respected my ideas while sharing some insight of their own. They have a few photographers within the company and I was able to choose one according to their individual portfolios. My husband and I chose Steve as our main photographer (for the engagement shoot and wedding day) and we were given a second photographer, MJ, for the wedding day. Both of them were so kind and their directions were clear and easy to follow. They were creative in choosing the backgrounds and props around the venue which made the photos come out beautiful. Another thing I love about Pearl Paper is they give you your full set of photos in both color and black & white.
You will not be disappointed with their service!!!

This studio's work is beautiful and professional!!! No one can beat their price and quality of work. The studio gave the engagement picture session as complimentary so the photographer and we can communicate and know each other before the wedding day. I feel that's a great idea. Our primary photographer is Steve and we love him! I sent him a bunch of pictures I got from pinterest to let him know the angles and visions I was hoping to get and he got most of them! I like he kept giving us guidance and suggestions for the poses for the photo session. On the wedding day, after the ceremony began he didn't pull us over for pictures, instead, he captured a lot of great moments on the wedding of us and the guests. Therefore, at the end of the day we enjoyed our wedding party and received thousands of beautiful pictures in around two months. We will recommend this studio to our friends and family.

When we were recommended Pearl Paper Studio, we knew we’d found “the one”. Within our first moments of meeting Ben, all of our worries about finding photographers for our big day quickly disappeared. He not only took the time to speak with us to answer all of our questions, but he also made us feel relaxed throughout the whole process. Benson, right from our first meeting made us feel completely comfortable and showed genuine interest in our ideas and plans for the big day. The engagement shoot was the perfect way for us to get comfortable with the camera, laugh a lot, and work out what worked best for us. He was simply a photographic ninja with our dog Pebbles, who at first was a little apprehensive, but became quite the little model. Both Benson and Stephen took a genuine interest in our history as a couple, taking the time to get to know us and explore our personalities, so that they could capture the best possible images. They were attentive and enthusiastic on the wedding day, resulting in our stunning photos which we couldn’t be more thrilled with. Their gift captured the raw emotions of the day from tears through to roaring laughter. They took gorgeous photos in a unique way of catching special moments between people. We loved how they captured the beauty of the wedding location and appreciated all of the little moments captured between us and our guests that are now in photo form. Ben and Karis were very efficient from the initial inquiry through to the big day and right up to the post wedding messages. We will forever recommend Pearl Paper Studio to friends and family. To anyone who is considering hiring these guy, our advice would be to "just do it!" you will not be disappointed. My now husband and I are Australian, we decided to elope in NYC last December with just the 2 of us. Lucky I found Ben Lau photography (sister company Pearl paper studio). From my first email to Ben, he was always quick at responding to my email/questions and was always ready to help. On the day of our wedding, Karis and MJ arrived early and they were so professional and easy going. They made us feel really comfortable to be ourselves. Not only were they our photographers for the day, they also offered to drive us around, carried our bags and jackets and Karis also had Bandaids ready when I blistered my ankles from my shoes. They both were so sweet and the results were amazing.
To Ben, Karis & MJ, thank you guys so much for making our day so special. You guys did such an awesome job, we're so happy with the results!

We booked MJ at Pearl Paper Studio before we even had our venue booked! We are thrilled with the final images and could not be happier that we found them! Not only do we have beautiful portraits, MJ and Ann Marie, managed to capture so many very special yet fleeting moments of our day. Karis and Ben are incredibly kind and responsive as well. Pearl Paper Studio exceeded expectations. We just received our wedding photos and are extremely happy with the final product. My main photographer was Benson and secondary photographer was Steve, and both exuded exceptional skill and talent. Both were able to capture our wedding perfectly, and knew exactly which spots at our venue had the best lighting and backdrop. Both Benson and Steve were extremely friendly and fun to work with, and made me feel at ease during the day of the wedding. I could tell that the photo editor at Pearl Paper definitely took a lot of care and spent a lot of time on our photos. For such a low price (compared to other photographers of similar quality), I was shocked that the photos were of such high quality. We got numerous compliments from our friends and family already on how great the pictures turned out! I will definitely be recommending Pearl Paper Studio to my friends and family.

They worked with me when I asked for a lower price if I cut the hours and paid cash. They were so friendly to work with and made my husband and I feel so comfortable. On the day of the wedding, they worked well with the other vendors. After the wedding, they gave the pictures in less than 2 months and even retouched a few that I wanted. I would highly recommend this company.

We were recommended to Pearl Paper Studio by our venue and after meeting Ben and Karis we didn't go to anyone else. They were such a pleasure to work with. MJ and Ed were AMAZING on our wedding day. Ed even helped the guys pin the boutonnieres everytime it fell off. We love PPS style of photography because it tells a story without being overly staged or dramatic. MJ has a knack for capturing the special moments and made us look amazing and effortless. We're trying to get all of our engaged friends to go with them. That's how amazing they are. We could not have been happier choosing Pearl Paper Studio for our wedding photography. MJ was our primary photographer, so we were able to meet her several months ahead of the wedding for our engagement photos. She made us immediately comfortable and the pictures came out wonderfully for our save-the-dates. On the wedding day, MJ and Steve were simply amazing. I would highly recommend Pearl Paper for your wedding and engagement photos. We received the individualized attention from Karis and Ben that one would expect for their big day. They met with us in person, had us submit the types of photos we liked, and were always responsive on email. I felt like we got the shots we wanted and came away with great wedding and engagement pictures. I also did a lot of price shipping and I think Pearl Paper really knocks it out of the park in the value department. At the very least, you should give Karis and Ben a call.

My wife and I selected Pearl Paper Studio to photograph our wedding in April and we are extremely happy! Benson and Steve were an absolute pleasure to work with and really captured some amazing photos. Ben and Karis answered all of my questions and were very responsive. I made almost all of the arrangements with Karis and everything was pretty seamless from the engagement shoot all the way up until the wedding day. Our wedding photos were done SOO quickly. We worked with Benson and had an amazing experience! My wife is not the easiest person to get to smile, but Benson got her relaxed and smiling in under 10 minutes during out engagement shoot! At the wedding, Benson seemed everywhere at once; he got some really great shots of everyone. And to top it off, he went the extra mile for us and took a few extra photos of us after the wedding reception just to make sure we had enough photos. Oh, and Benson graciously offered to be chauffeur for any of our guests who needed to be ferried from the hotel to the venue :).
If you have any doubts about whether on not to use Pear Paper.... throw those doubts out. Use them. You'll be glad :).

We had our wedding in April and the photographers, MJ and Steve, were beyond excellent. Pearl Paper's quality of service and professionalism were great, and their responsiveness to my emails and calls was very quick. MJ was our photographer for our engagement session, and she was very professional and flexible with everything. When we got our engagement photos, I had some minor comments with some of images. They revised the images for me and for images that couldn't be revised, they explained the reasons very thoroughly. Also, they did deliver way more than what was said on the contract, so it was just be being a bridezilla! On the day of our wedding, the photoshoot went just as we've imagined/planned without any issues. We just got our images and all of them look perfect. They've managed to capture all the precious moments. Also, during the wedding preparation, they provided me tips and sources for other areas that I needed help with (makeup, hair, etc). Big thanks to all of you guys in Pearl Paper Studio team for capturing the day perfectly and for great photos! Will definitely contact you guys again when we need a photography service :)

So unbelievably happy that I found this company! MJ (Main photographer) and Steve (2nd shooter) were on point all day! They arrived on time and went right to work! Definitely a well oiled machine.
I had been worrying about running late all day and MJ kept me calm and reassured me that she had plenty of time to get all the shots we wanted. This team was so personable and easy to communicate with. They listened to me throughout the day both by verbal queues and not so verb queues! ;-) They covered the dance floor all night without me even noticing!
I CAN'T WAIT to see what the pictures look like! If they are anything like the engagement pictures, I will be thrilled! So happy to have worked with them and with Ben and Karis of Ben Lau Photography (parent/sister company). Thank you all for making our night magical! We will absolutely be recommending you to all our couple friends who are getting married!

MJ & Steve were so lovely to have on our wedding day. We had to find new photographers a month before our wedding because of a falling out we had with our previous vendor. They were recommended to us by my husband's coworkers and they set up a meeting with us immediately and happened to be available. They definitely worked with our budget which was great. I have to thank Ben and Karis (of Ben Lau Photography) for taking care of all the details. Even though we booked late, we still received our engagement session and I'm glad we did. We were out in the freezing cold in January but the pictures came out so beautiful. MJ & Steve made that trip and the cold so worthwhile. We actually wanted to use one of the engagement photos at the reception. They made sure we had our pictures ready two weeks so we could have a poster of us at our wedding. The day of the wedding, they made sure they came with the same enthusiasm. MJ & Steve made sure we got all the shots that we wanted and some. MJ also made sure I was a happy and calm bride too. They were so discreet and worked well with everyone, the cinematographers, our families, the guests, and the coordinators. It was a joy to have them be apart of our day. Our pictures are stunning. They really captured the day. We can't wait to finish up our album selection but we never get tired of looking at our pictures. Pearl Paper Studio saved us and our wedding day....thank you so much!!!

Benson Lau was my main photographer and Stephen was the 2nd photographer for my wedding day.
We did an engagement shoot with Benson and thank god we did because we are very awkward, unphotogenic people. He made us feel comfortable and we had fun. It made the wedding day such a breeze. Benson was so patient with my family. I come from a big family and everyone wanted a picture with me, sometimes multiples. Some even told him what to do and he took it in stride. Both Stephen and Benson were very professional but personable at the same time. The engagement photos came out awesome and I cannot wait to see the rest.
Our friends and family thoroughly enjoyed the photobooth. They kept commenting on how much fun it was and was surprised at how many props were available. We were so busy that we were unable to take a photo in the photobooth but we are so happy that the wedding party was able to enjoy it!

It's no secret that weddings aren't cheap. It's also a sad realization that once the party is over, after months (maybe years?) of planning, all you have left are memories and photographs. Picking the right group of folks to capture your special day is one of the most important decisions you have to make when planning your wedding.
We are both so happy that we entrusted this task to Pearl Paper. Karis and MJ did an excellent job, and we were so thrilled when we got to see their beautiful work. They managed to capture the best moments we both remember, and somethings that we never had a chance to see. I've never seen two more hardworking photographers. At the end of the night, they looked almost as tired as we were. As their work shows it.
Browse through the blog on their website, and you'll see they have elegantly blended the beauty of deliberately composed portraits of you and your wedding party, with the more unpredictable nature of positioning themselves in the right place at the right time, snapping the shutter at the precise moment as things unfold.
On the more lighter side, we also opted to get the photo booth. Seeing photos of our guests put on silly hats and make dumb faces was worth every penny. Our guests got instant high quality prints to take home as keepsakes, and we got the digital copies that we can use to blackmail them forever. It doesn't get better then that ;-)

We love Pearl Paper Studio and our photographers! They were recommended by our dear friends, and we are so grateful for that. Our engagement session and wedding photos turned out amazing! I cannot stop looking at the beautiful pictures that Pearl Paper Studio have captured so wonderfully. We adore it! And so do our families and friends. My brother-in-law booked them as well for his upcoming wedding. Pearl Paper Studio was our best vendor to work with during the wedding planning. They were always prompt in their replies and were so easy going to work with. We were planning our wedding from Syracuse, and my husband and I had such a busy work schedule. We kept changing our dates for the engagement photo session, but Pearl Paper Studio were so flexible, kind, and patient. They made sure it was going to happen! We also used their photo booth services and everyone enjoyed it with the variety of cute and funny props. Photography was a very important element of our wedding, and Pearl Paper Studio did not disappoint. The photography style, composition, and content are superb. I love the detailed shots, the potraits, and the candid pictures. Seriously, I can't stop looking at our photos! I would definitely call them in a heartbeat for them to capture future occasions :). Karis & MJ were a pleasure to work with. During both our engagment shoot & wedding day, they were easy going and true professionals. Karis was our main contact pre & post the event and was very responsive answering all of our questions almost instantly. Amazing company and amazing photos! From the very first interaction the team was extremely responsive and helpful! Steve was so much fun to work with and the picture are gorgeous. For those who don't want to read the whole review - our photographs turned out beautifully and everyone was wonderful to work with!
Now for those who want more detail, we first did our engagement shoot with MJ. She drove several hours away so that we could do our photos on our college campus. We're not the most posable people, and MJ was great working with us and giving us tips along the way. She even indulged my husband by letting him suggest some additional, trickier poses :) Our photos beautifully captured the Spring season, our surroundings, and us! Our photos were delivered very quickly and we had plenty of time to include them on our wedding invitations.
MJ and Steve were our photographers for the wedding. They were both great to work with on our busy day! They were professional and made sure they got all the shots, but without being overwhelming or demanding during a time that can get very stressful. I was getting to the venue quite early and they both arrived right with me to make sure they captured the entire day. We also had a big group (and a slightly less than cooperative child) to work with and everything went smoothly, with only good things said from all involved. We got married right at the end of busy season so our turnaround didn't allow for quick gifts or thank you's, but the photographs were well worth the wait. I have received so many compliments about all of the photos and I received well over the amount of photos I was expecting. I also got every photo printed as part of my package and everyone has enjoyed flipping through our very large album!
In all, beautiful photos that will always remind me of a great day and experience!

It was such a pleasure to work with Ed on our photography, both on our engagement photos and on our special day. My husband isn’t the most comfortable in front of the cameras, but Ed and Ben did a fantastic job in getting all of us to look our best. I can’t wait to get our physical album! Our photographer Steve Capone with Pearl Paper did an amazing job as our photographer! He was extremely fun to work with, attentive, and detail oriented. He truly kept the morning of our wedding running smoothly and on time! The pictures came out beautifully, and he captured all the moments that were the most special. My husband and I travelled from Australia to NYC to get married, which could have been quite daunting but Ben, Karis and the team made everything so easy. They even helped with hair and makeup contacts when mine fell through, they were more than happy to help with all of our requests.
The photographers Benson and Steve were both fantastic and worked so hard. The weather was very warm on the day but there were never any complaints and they just kept coming up with more great ideas for photos.
Benson and Steve's professionalism made the day easy, relaxed and fun, and we really couldn't have asked for anything more. We were so happy with how everything turned out.
Pearl Paper Studio provide exceptional value for money and amazing service and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing a photographer for any occasion.

My husband and I have a great experience with Pearl Paper Studio and I would highly recommend them to any newly engaged couple! Bensen came to our engagement shoot venue hours earlier to scope out the place and even though we were close to an hour late, he showed no frustration and made the experience very comfortable for the both of us. If I'm completely honest, I loved my wedding photos significantly more than I did my engagement photos but it's probably due to the fact that was done up by professionals for the actual wedding day ;) Everyone that has come over and sees our pictures are extremely impressed and feel that they are extremely reasonable in price which exceeds their talents to capture moments on the wedding day as well as edit them after.

I'm a delinquent reviewer, since its been exactly a year after my wedding, but I will say that all members of the Pearl Paper Studio team were great to work with -- and many of the photos came out wonderful. They were very accommodating with our long list of family portraits, and were also flexible with our random stops -- and they caught many of our great candid photos. Thanks to them all -- I highly recommend them and have been spreading their business to many of those who are recently engaged!

We booked Pearl Paper Studio for our wedding and it was probably the best decision we made for wedding planning. We went with Steve who was super easy to get along with. We got comfortable with him really quickly which made it a lot easier to take pictures. At the wedding we also had Benson as a second shooter and not only are they an absolute blast together, they went above and beyond their moment capturing business. They were helping me holding my wedding dress when my girls weren’t around, fixing my cathedral size veil, straightening clothes, flowers anything that needed attention they were happy to help with (without being asked). They make a great team and they had us laughing the entire day- I was definitely a happy bride all day!
The only thing is that it take a little bit of time to get your pictures back so plan ahead if you need the pictures for Save the Dates. But the pictures are definitely worth the wait! I highly recommend booking Pearl Paper Studios, they go above and beyond.
