We booked Visual Arts Wedding Photography 9 months in advance and during the time between then, the day of the wedding, and even after, Carsten checked up on us regularly. My husband and I truly appreciate his communication skills. Carsten made sure we were on the same page and the photos that we received were to our liking. On the wedding day, Carsten and Leigh truly displayed their photography skills and did not let moments go unnoticed. Leigh was very sweet, approachable and made me feel comfortable while she took pictures in the bridal suite. We are so grateful for the ways they shared their perspective of our wedding with raw emotion and beauty. The photos they took are ineffable and we are able to relive that moment through their incredible photos. -

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, I’ve been looking back at our wedding photos and realized I never left a review 🤦🏻♀️ — and honestly, I can’t thank these two enough! From our engagement shoot to the big day, they were amazing. We were both pretty awkward in front of the camera, but they helped us relax and have fun, which made all the difference. 10/10 would recommend an engagement shoot to help somewhat get used to it before the big day. 🤣
When we met Leigh (in-person) on our wedding day, we could tell they were such a great team. They worked so well together, and it showed in the photos. We seriously couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out — we’re obsessed with our pictures!
I was a little nervous about booking a photographer from out of state, but they made the whole process so easy and stress-free. If you’re looking for a photographer who’s professional, fun, and knows how to make you feel comfortable, Carsten and Leigh are it! Thank you both for capturing our day so perfectly! -

One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was hiring Visual Arts Wedding Photography to capture our wedding day!! They captured the day so beautifully. We are in absolute awe!

On the wedding day, our photographers were incredibly professional and kind. Let me start by saying that choosing our wedding photographer was not a decision that I took lightly. It was the one thing that I was not willing to settle on. The absolute BEST decision that we made during our entire wedding planning was choosing Carsten and Leigh with Visual Arts Photography!! From the first conversation with Carsten, I knew that they were the perfect fit for us. They were so much more than just our photographers. They have a passion for weddings and helped us throughout the entire planning process. Carsten gave recommendations for any vendors that I needed and was there for us every step of the way! They truly took the time to get to know us and create a relationship with us that made the wedding day SO much fun! We felt like they were both just part of the family on our wedding day! They were right there with us capturing every moment until the time we left the venue. After the wedding, they were quick to get our pictures to us and they are STUNNING!! The pictures are absolutely GORGEOUS and I haven’t stopped looking at them since we got them! Carsten and Leigh exceeded every expectation I had for a wedding photographer! We can't say enough wonderful things about working with Carsten and Leigh! From the start when we were searching around for photographers, they were the standout. It really was never a question once we began communicating. They always got right back to us, and it was a pleasure working with them throughout the whole process.
One of my favorite things they did was the timeline that they provided for us. A schedule for the wedding day from our First Look pictures, to family photos, to ceremony and reception. It was so professional, and it allowed us to relax and enjoy our special day because we knew that they had it all under control. Pictures were a very important part for me, and I am so happy that we chose Visual Arts Wedding photography to be our photographers. You won't ever regret trusting them with a very important part of your special day!! -

Absolutely amazing photographers!!!
Carsten and Leigh were absolutely wonderful to work with! The pictures were AMAZING!! I have gotten so many compliments and comments on how beautiful and professional the wedding pictures look. It touched my heart that they had printed out the wedding timeline I had sent them. They not only photographed the entire wedding, but also made sure that the day went smoothly and that we followed the timeline I had made! It was like having a wedding coordinator and photographer wrapped up into one. They showed up on time to every event and were supportive the whole day. My entire wedding party loved them. My husband and I were really lucky to have such an experienced and friendly duo to capture our day. Would absolutely book them again!!! -

Fun, Knowledgeable, PERFECT
Carsten and Leigh are AMAZING! They’re so funny and creative. They are thankfully very knowledgeable and quick on their feet because we ran into a couple of snags throughout the day and they operated seamlessly. Our guests and family are still talking about the great energy and fun they added to our wedding!! We are extremely camera shy and Carsten and Leigh do their best to give you your own little bubble during a hectic day. They truly made us feel so beautiful on our wedding day 🤍 -

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Carsten and Leigh for our engagement shoot and wedding. From the moment we met them, it was an instant connection. It did not feel like we had random people taking our pictures, it felt like family was. Leigh was with me while I was getting ready, not only taking pictures, but also helping around anywhere she could. She made sure I was happy and content! After the wedding, so many of our guests were going on and on how much they loved Carsten and Leigh! We now have lifelong friends! Beyond Happy with Visual Arts Photography
My husband and I appreciate the flexibility and patience during this pandemic. We are so grateful to have worked with Carsten for our engagement photos as well as our wedding day. Carsten was very helpful leading up to the events and made sure the timeline of our wedding was what we wanted to capture in photos. He is very responsive and willing to go above and beyond to ensure your day is captured the way you want. My husband and I are very pleased with our photos!
We received a sneak peak within a few days of our wedding and our full amount of photos within 3-4 weeks after our wedding which is unheard of. Pricing is also very reasonable especially for what you are getting. Highly recommend! If I could give higher than a 5/5 rating, I would! -

Amazing Experience
Having Carsten as our photographer was one of the single best decisions we made for our wedding. Carsten is incredibly talented. He immediately knew what elements to use at our venue to make for the best pictures. He captured unique things like the foliage, ferns, jewelry, etc. in such a unique way. He even knew what and who we would want pictures of, even if we forgot to specify. He is such a pleasure to work with and we have become good friends in the process of working together. Carsten has a huge heart and it is so evident that he cared about our wedding day as much as we did. We feel so fortunate to have had him behind the lens to capture such an incredible day. The hardest part about having hired Carsten is knowing what pictures to put into frames! -

Forever Moments
Carsten was our photographer for our wedding and baby’s baptism. We also had a family photo shoot with him at Atlanta Botanical Garden. We got married in Nov 2023 and really enjoyed working with Carsten and Leigh! They met us multiple times and spoke with us as needed to help plan the engagement shoot and wedding, and our photos came out AMAZING! They understood the “mood” I was going for (bright, crisp, etc) and went above and beyond for us. They’re also a fun and sweet couple, which made them super great to work with throughout.
