Tim Blackford of *Peace, Love, Weddings* officiated our private beach wedding in Puerto Rico this January, and we honestly couldn’t have imagined a better experience.

Tim did all the heavy lifting for us when it came to getting our marriage license. He made the whole process super smooth, and I think it was totally worth the cost. The only thing I wish I had done differently is double-check that he got the corrections for our wedding talk. He sent his preliminary version, and he never got back to us about the corrections. So, on the big day, we had the original without any changes. But hey, even with that little hiccup, everything turned out great! We’d definitely recommend Tim’s services. -

All of our guests were raving about Tim, he was truly a highlight of our wedding and made it extra special. He took the time to get to know us and was so nice and easy to work with. He put together a wonderful ceremony script after getting to know us over a call and was so easy to work with while we made small edits to our ceremony script.
Everything was worded perfectly just as we wanted. Tim has a very open mind and really understood us and the vibe we were aiming for. He is flexible and clearly has a lot of experience officiating all types of ceremonies.
Tim has an excellent presence, he’s a very warm guy and his delivery is very impressive! He has a great voice and really made our ceremony of our dreams. He’s also a top tier professional, stepping right out of the way entirely out of view hiding for our kiss, so our picture of that came out perfectly. Seriously everyone was raving about him, asking who he was which goes to show you - he has a way of really finding out who you are and telling your story in an authentic way. Elopement in El Yunque with Tom!
My husband and I planned our ceremony very last minute, but Tom worked with us so well to coordinate everything in such a short amount of time. Tom is an expert in his profession! His communication skills made this process easy and stress free. He also helped us through the legal process of getting married in Puerto Rico, which was a huge plus, since that was a concern for us. With Tom’s services, it was no longer an issue! Would recommend his service to anyone! -

He also traveled outside his usual area and even helped us find the perfect venue. His support, patience, and genuine care made our experience stress-free and truly special. From the start, working with Tim was great! He was super responsive (with all of my questions) and very knowledgeable/professional about the whole process. My family is from Coamo, but we live in the states but wanted to legally get married in PR. The process was so easy because of Tim! He told me everything he needed and once everything was sent over, electronically, he did all the work for us. Even filing and mailing out marriage license! I couldn’t believe how easy he made it. But not only was he great for the process itself, his personality and deliverance was perfect for our special day. I cried and laughed all the way through our ceremony, making great candid pictures to cherish. We did a phone interview with him and from just that one call he wrote up our script and with a few edits back and forth, we made it perfect together. I will forever be grateful to Tim and every thing he did for us. AND when you have guests weeks after the wedding still saying how funny your officiant was, I think we made a good choice :) Thank you Tim!!! -

Where do I begin? I was planning a destination wedding from North Carolina with less than 6 weeks until our wedding day, so it was difficult getting a response from vendors in Puerto Rico BUT Tim was immediately responsive to me and extremely kind and helpful. I didnt have a wedding planner and Tim really helped me out with vendor referrals and even locating our AMAZING location on Escambron beach. The spot was breathtaking! Tim set up a virtual meeting with me and my husband, got to know us a bit, and then created an awesome personalized ceremony speech. From beginning to end, our experience with Tim was awesome. He even color coordinated his suit with our colors! I feel like he's an important part of our lives forever! I would recommend him in a heart beat! He was professional, punctual, and so very sweet. Tim was recommended to me and my husband by our wedding planner and we are so so pleased with the recommendation. Tim is professional, fast and super helpful. He answered all of our emails and texts very quickly and even wrote up our ceremony draft and sent it to us the night of our phone call!
I was most worried about the process to get a marriage license in Puerto Rico (as we are not residents of Puerto Rico) and he made the process extremely easy, seamless and painless. His personality really added to our ceremony and he was somehow able to convince our guests that he knew us for many years. My only regret was not getting more pictures with him :(
We can not recommend Tim enough, if you need an officiant, Tim is your guy. He is just so amazing and so pleasant to work with. He even reviewed my vows and gave me great feedback. Thank you so much Tim! You are literally the best! -

Perfect Officiant!
We loved Tim! He helped us go back and forth on the edits and even went with the flow! If you need a Officiant and want your guests to enjoy the experience of the ceremony, Tim is the guy! He had us laughing too.
We where not able to rehearse with Tim, so our only suggestion is to make sure you discuss the hand off with (Bride to Groom) him… maybe our coordinator could of filled him in… small details though.

The ceremony that he wrote was so beautiful & just perfect for us. It was as if he had known us for years. Tim also recommended locations for the ceremony & gave us a list of other vendors for our wedding. He also printed up the ceremony in Spanish for our guests who didn’t speak English. Tim officiated our wedding a couple weeks ago and he was great! Very professional, responsive, and on time to the ceremony and all marriage license needs.
We had a quick call with Tim and in a couple days he drafted up a ceremony for us and worked with us through some edit requests. He also helped us get our marriage licensed in Puerto Rico, which was very appreciated as we weren't familiar with the process and don't live there.

Everyone asked us if he knew us before the ceremony because he personalized it perfectly.
He met with us a few times before the wedding and asked us questions. He tailored the ceremony to match our requests. We asked for a romantic but light and fun ceremony -Tim delivered beyond ask.
He even printed a copy of the ceremony in Spanish for my non English speaking relatives.

We had so much fun working with Tim. He really helped us curate a ceremony that was meaningful to who we are as a couple. He made a huge effort to get to know us on a personal level, he even met up with us when we were visiting the venue way before the wedding just to say hi and meet us in person.
He was very patient with us, even as we were making some last-minute changes to our ceremony the morning of the wedding. Tim is so compassionate and it is clear he really cares about the couples he works with and worked so hard with us to create the ceremony we envisioned.
We had so many guests approach us and compliment Tim and how he conducted our ceremony, he is well spoken, personable and fun and clearly understands the importance of the moments he facilitates and never took away from the intimacy of the ceremony.

We had originally contracted and planned to have our wedding at the end of 2020, just to end the year on a happy note. However, due to COVID, we decided to postpone the wedding to sometime in 2021, in order that more guests could attend. Beach Elopement - Tim is great!
We were so please with all the of support provided by Tim. From the start of the process, Tim was warm, kind, and informative for the entire wedding process (this is critical - the process in Puerto Rico is slightly different than in mainland USA). He was always easy to reach, and responded to any questions very promptly. Furthermore, he was even able to suggest a destination for the wedding which was beyond our wildest dreams!
The day of the wedding, Tim was on time and delivered a beautiful heartfelt and personal ceremony.
I would 100% recommend Tim for all your destination wedding needs! -

Tim from Peace Love Weddings was the perfect choice for our January elopement to Old San Juan! We were getting married on 1-21-21 and wanted it to be legal but we are not Puerto Rican residents. There is quite a strict process and requirements to go through to make it a legal ceremony. Tim guided us every step of the way. He made it not seem like such a hassle! He did everything for us to achieve what we wanted! He also gave us all kinds of great recommendations! Tim is such a sweet soul. He talked with us previously on the phone to hear our love story and wrote the ceremony from that. It was breathtaking. It was as if he had know us forever! He brought a sweetness to our ceremony. Tim was open to every idea we had! We are so grateful for Tim! -

Tim is the absolute BEST. If I could give 10 stars I would. We honestly couldn’t have pulled the wedding off without all that he did for us. He was part wedding officiant, part travel agent, and part wedding planner. This was our first time in Puerto Rico. Tim helped us find a location, helped with ideas on where to stay, gave us a list of vendors to help us, gave us suggestions for the dinner afterwards and after a couple of phone conversations with him he wrote a perfect ceremony for us. Then a week before the ceremony he went to the beach to see how it was in terms of Covid regulations and the lighting around sunset. We could not have asked for more. And on top of it all he was the friendliest kindest person. We were told by someone that has known him for many years that this is the perfect job for him. We 100% agree with that assessment.
In the middle of this crazy Covid world we live in Tim pulled off the perfect wedding ceremony for us. If you are looking for a wedding officiant look no further. You have found THE BEST. -

Elopement Wedding
My fiancé and I actually found Tim on google. We decided to go with his business after viewing his website, YouTube, and other reviews. I must say I am happy that we did! He was very accommodating and answered any and every question i had. He paid attention to details and gave us great places to check out while there. I would recommend his services time and again! Tim was very pleasant, he asked what we were wearing so he could coordinate accordingly. Also, we asked for the time of our wedding to be pushed back 30 minutes a couple hours before we were to begin because traffic was worse than expected and he was very patient. Would definitely recommend! (:
