  Terrific photographer for our small wedding

  Paul took beautiful photos of our elopement wedding and was very kind and receptive to staying longer and taking more photos than planned originally. We are so happy with the beautiful memories he captured on film. Thank you.

  Paul was great to work with, all the way from the initial consultation through the receipt of our wedding photos. Reasonably priced, Paul arrived a little earlier than expected, and stayed a little later to get the first dance photos. Paul has very useful worksheets to help determine what particular photos you want taken at your big day. We got every photo we were hoping for, and more! As for the photos themselves, they came out beautifully, as Paul's talent for identifying the right picture location shines through. He also edited the photos with his professional software. And he had the photos for us less than 6 weeks after the wedding date! I've heard friends speak of waiting 3-5 months for their wedding photos to be completed. Paul was a true professional all the way around, and I HIGHLY recommend his services! It also helps that he seems to be a rather genuine, nice guy, too.

  I reviewed numerous photographers websites/photographs and reviews and I chose to interview Paul for our engagement and wedding photos based on wonderful reviews, but in particular I was struck by an unique, tender and loving photo that he had taken. When my fiance' and I met with him, he was thoughtful, engaged, receptive and extremely professional. I/we are so looking forward to him capturing our memories for us.

  Paul was our photographer for our wedding. He did an amazing job of capturing our whole wedding day. As soon as Paul got out to our wedding site, he started taking pictures right away! He did an amazing job at capturing the big things and the little things at our wedding, but that were just as special! Our pictures looked amazing, when we previewed them! I am glad we found Paul for our photographer and would recommend him to anyone wanting an amazing photographer who will catch every special second of your wedding!

  Paul was very flexible with my pictures as I wanted all my family members in them. He did amazing when I asked if I could wait on my getting ready pictures because I was running late (go figure). Paul was awesome at candid pictures which is exactly what I wanted. My day will be remembered beautifully!!

  Paul did a great job on my wedding day photo shoots. I'm impressed with His creativity and portrayals of his ideas and direction. My bridal party likes his professionalism and talent. My sister likes his talent.The pictures came out very good!.I'm a simple person but I'm picky and a hands-on. I will personally recommend Paul to my friends.

  I am very satisfied with Paul's work and I don't think anyone could have done a nicer job. Every picture turned out exceptional. He was on time and very prepared. Paul was also very flexible with working with my guests and children, he knew everyone's name by the end of the night. I could tell he really enjoys his job and takes pride in his work. If I ever need a Photographer again, he would definitely be my first choice.

  Paul did a great job with our wedding pictures! He also did our engagement pictures with my wife and I on our horses. Paul captured some great moments and we are thrilled to have found him! I would highly recommend Paul!

  All of the pictures that Paul took for our wedding turned out great. Paul did very good at capturing the moment, and getting pictures of all groups we requested. He also gave us far more pictures than he had promised us. We have since then developed prints through his site, which also turned out really nice.

He was also unbelievably flexible and accommodating, even when my mother pulled him from his dinner to capture a moonlit shot. Absolutely beautiful- my family has not stopped talking about the photos. Also, the prices were fantastic (much better than any other options) and there was no travel fee. Some photographers charged a certain fee if they had to travel over 20 miles. He drove from Marana to Vail (easily a 50 minute drive) to capture our wedding and even previewed the sight ahead of time without charging an extra dime. I highly recommend Mr. Van Helden and am so honored that this highly accomplished photo journalist took the time to tell our story with his photographs.
