  Patrick was a true gem to find to play at our wedding. He came highly recommended by our wedding venue and after we chatted with him and saw a couple of his videos, we booked him! He is incredibly talented (and super humble). Patrick played our ceremony, including playing my requested song, his rendition of "Rise" by Eddie Vedder on violin as I walked down the aisle, and fiddled everyone down the hill to cocktail hour. We also hired a guitar player, a friend of Patrick's, to play with him for our cocktail hour and then Patrick DJ'd the night away for the reception. It was incredible, but especially when he fiddled along with the music. Our guests on the dance floor were in awe and stopped to watch him in the balcony. Guests came in from the bar to hear him play. It was so magical. Everyone has not stopped talking about how amazing that was. Patrick was one of the most easy going vendors we worked with for our wedding, a true professional and master of the fiddle for sure! Patrick was flexible, and when I had to make the call to have the ceremony outside when it was pouring rain, he was willing to still play outside with an umbrella. We are so happy we selected him and that he was able to work with us. I would highly recommend him!

  Amazing musician!

  When my fiancé (now husband) and I began looking for music for our wedding, we genuinely did not know what we wanted. We had a very small, intimate wedding so we were not expecting to have a lot of dancing or a long reception. I found Patrick online and liked that he plays many musical instruments, sings, plays solo or with a band, and also can act as a DJ. From our initial contact, Patrick was very easy to communicate with. He was responsive by email and by phone. He was willing to play any particular songs with enough notice to learn them if needed. The day of our wedding was seamless. Patrick played beautifully on the violin before and during our ceremony and did a rendition of my Dad’s favorite song for our “exit”. He sang and played the guitar for our first dance (and he was the highlight, not our dancing). For the mother of the groom/groom dance he played a recording of the requested song. He was perfectly low key given the intimate size of our party. He is great at reading the room. Our only regret was that we didn’t have more time to hear him play longer. If you enjoy live music and a variety of genres and instruments, book him!! You won’t regret it!

  High Quality with great vibes!!

  Patrick played for our daughter's wedding at the Town House in Strafford, Vermont in June of 2023. His band joined him for the outdoor reception at our home nearby. He did a fantastic job of keeping the dance floor going with a mix of music and top notch accompaniment by himself and his band. We loved them so much that we asked them to play at our son's wedding in Lyme, New Hampshire in August of 2025. The music was quietly-beautiful during the ceremonies and energetic, fun, and high-quality for our receptions. Patrick is professional, communicative, and helped us to feel prepared and at-ease on such important days.

  Amazing! So much energy

  We loved having Patrick play at our wedding!! When we first started thinking about music for our wedding reception, we really wanted the energy of live music (as musicians, ourselves), but felt that a band would be a bit much and often only have limited song catalogs. Patrick was the perfect solution. Like any DJ he played a great mix of our favorite songs, but then on many of them overlaid his own guitar and fiddle on top (“takeovers” as he calls it). Some of our favorite moments were just him jamming along as everyone danced. The drums added even more energy throughout. The dance floor was going the whole night and in the time since our wedding, so many guests told us the music was their favorite part.
  
  For our reception, he learned our requests for processional and recessional and played a creative eclectic mix of acoustic music during our cocktail hour. Plus, he was so thoughtful, patient, kind, and helpful during the weeks and months coming up to the wedding. He brings all his own sound equipment and was so patient and receptive even with our neurotic consideration of microphone placement during the ceremony. When we first talked to him, his told us how meaningful weddings are to him and how he truly loves performing at weddings — it could not be any more clear. All-in-all, could not recommend Patrick more!

  Worth every penny

  Patrick's communication leading up to the wedding was friendly and thorough. His performance on our wedding day was simply perfect and he made our reception a blast! He was also adaptable and made last minute changes to his schedule and performance as needed. Patrick Ross was worth every dollar and more!

  Best band/ DJ combo!!

  Patrick and his band were so much fun! Patrick is an extremely talented musician and played violin / fiddle during our ceremony and cocktail hour, and a variety of string instruments all evening! He was organized, thoughtful, and listened to all our requests and played only songs we loved. His band did “takeovers” of some of our favorite songs, and it was the perfect mix of live music and DJ- best of both worlds ! A band member even surprised us with a saxophone set! Guests were vibing with their energy and they really made the night. Highly recommend.

  Made Our Wedding Complete

  Patrick Ross Music/Rock Farmer Records was absolutely incredible to work with for our wedding. His communication style was very clear and thoughtful, as they truly took the time to understand our vision and preferences. The quality of their work was top-tier and the live music he provided was beautiful, professional, and caring. Patrick learned our wedding song and performed it exceptionally, blending seamlessly into the background of our ceremony and reception. He played multiple instruments beautifully and was so kind and thoughtful, going with the flow even when our wedding was not as organized as a usual wedding. Having Patrick there truly made our wedding day one to remember, and we feel so lucky to have had him be a part of our special day. We can't imagine our wedding without him, and anyone would be fortunate to have Patrick Ross Music/Rock Farmer Records at their own wedding.

  What doesn't he play!

  By far the most versatile musician / DJ that frequents our venue! We are always excited when couples hire him because we know they will love him (sometimes so much that they invite him for a late night fireside sing a long!). 1,000% recommend.

  Unique, accommodating & overall amazing

  Patrick Ross and his band exceeded all expectations, making our special day truly magical. Patrick took the time to learn and perform our first dance song, "Wondering Why" by Red Clay Strays, and honestly, their rendition was even better than the original! They accommodated every request we made and were always open to learning new songs or trying something different. This definitely won’t be the last time we hire Patrick – we want him to be part of all our future celebrations!

  Patrick and his band - AMAZING

  Patrick was a key figure in keeping our wedding organized and the day timely. He and his band absolutely killed it on the music front - so many follow up messages from friends and family saying how awesome it was, it was one of their favorite parts of the wedding. Having the ability to hear your favorite tracks with live instruments going along or in between songs was incredible! We had never been to a wedding with this style before and I don't think we can ever go back, ours set a new bar! If you're considering hiring Patrick and his band for your big day,
  don't hesitate - just do it!

  Patrick was amazing. We booked him to play live violin/fiddle music during the ceremony and cocktail hour and then DJ during the reception. He played Moon River as the wedding party came out (at my request like a day beforehand, eek!) and Canon in D for the procession. I NEVER thought I wanted a musician at the wedding (thought it was too formal), but it was so perfect for our small, laid back outdoor wedding. He is a musician first-and-foremost, and we basically told him to play whatever he felt like as people were sitting down and as the recessional and during the cocktail hour. People were raving about him.
  
  He set up to DJ the wedding and serve as the emcee, which he did well at. Our wedding was super small and all older and family members, and after the first dance the dance floor was abandoned to everyone talking to each other and catching up. He quickly adapted and started a background performance by combining DJ'd music with cleverly-played fiddle "overplaying" accompaniment which was really amazing. It fit the mood perfectly. He then surprised me by meeting us all at the impromptu bonfire and playing as people toasted marshmallows before heading to bed. I couldn't believe how flexible and seamless he made it.
  
  I love that he is a musician who uses this to support himself, and felt good about supporting a small local business. I was not disappointed, and he made some of the most memorable moments.

  Vermont Wedding 2018

  If you want the very best, Patrick is the music professional that you need to hire for your wedding. From the very beginning, he was open to all of our suggestions, and even learned a new song for our ceremony processional. Our guests loved when he fiddled along to our music selections during the reception, and would have loved even more! We highly recommend booking him for your event, but do it now, because he's in very high demand.
