Worth Every Penny

Where do I even begin!
Venue - Absolutely stunning. The venue is impeccable on the inside and the outside. Your guests will rave about the southern charm that the venue has and the location is perfect. Right on King Street.
Food - So delicious and worth every. single. penny. I would highly suggest the shrimp and grit cake with the creole butter sauce. The food was absolutely outstanding.
PPHG employees - All were so sweet, responsive and genuine. They all went out of their way to make sure our wedding was everything we wanted and more. Nadia was especially great to work with. :)

Patrick Property went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect. The staff's dedication and attention to detail were outstanding. A special shoutout to Daniel, who ensured that everything ran smoothly, from the delightful breakfast and mimosas to the delectable snacks and champagne in the carriage house. Our guests were treated like royalty, with many commenting that it felt like dining at a 5-star restaurant. The food received unanimous praise as "the best wedding food" our guests had ever tasted.

Best venues in the US, exquisite catering and genuinely thoughtful top notch staff!

After touring close to 50 venues across the US, Rachel Hopkins the Sales Manager we had worked with, made it an easy decision for us! We selected The William Aiken House (which was unknowingly my first ever pin on Pinterest for a wedding venue) for our ceremony/cocktail hour/dinner, American Theater for our dancing/after party and Parcel32 for our rehearsal dinner/welcome gathering. Rachel was easily the best we worked with throughout our venue search and is a genuinely kind hearted individual! We also worked with Becky Kearns, who was also an absolute joy work with! The two of them were very accommodating and easy to work with as they shaped the various options for the venues, catering, and other items. Throughout the planning process the two of them and PPHG were very professional and thoughtful with each step. We felt comfortable with them along the way and they made it easy to trust them in all ways. Abigail Roderick, Director of Events, was also fantastic in every way and we really enjoyed her flexibility in all areas of planning, and the tasting with her! We also worked with the amazing Rachel Starling for our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at Parcel32 which would highly recommend (please see our review)! The day of staff assigned to our events surpassed all expectations and we received much praise from our guest on how wonderful the service was. The catering and drinks were also a significant highlight from the affair. The feedback from guests on how it was “the best wedding food they have had” was so wonderful. We drool thinking back on each food item and drink, and are so happy PPHG upholds such a great standard for the catering. We also were so pleased in choosing to work with Jessica the Pastry Chef for our Cake. It was so elegant and received endless compliments, and tasted delicious too! And it goes without saying, the beautiful unique venues (and photos from them) were breathtaking!

To end, you would be making the best decision to work with PPHG. We are so happy and forever grateful for everything they did for us :) PPHG was wonderful to work with in every aspect! We would highly recommend anyone planning an event or wedding to work with them! They have the best venues in the United States, exquisite catering and genuinely thoughtful top notch staff.

Absolute perfection - could not ask for more on my wedding day!

When my husband and I started researching Wedding Venues in Charleston, we kept reading about Lowndes Grove and William Aiken House and how unbelievably professional, kind, punctual, and hospitable their employees were. From the moment that we stepped foot onto the William Aiken House property, we were treated so wonderfully. Rachel did a fantastic job showing us the grounds and answering all of the thousands of questions I had at the time and in the months to come. I must have emailed her a million times a day with "one last question" and she always responded quickly and friendly! Once we signed on to have our wedding at WAH, we were connected with Kailin, who started us at our tasting and ran everything on our wedding day. Let me tell you about KAILIN. From the moment we met her at the tasting, I could tell she loved what she was doing, and loved helping people have the most perfect day for their wedding day. She gave us great recommendations on things that paired well with each other and what guest "favorites" tended to be depending on the time of year. Similar to Rachel, she answered a billion questions and patiently changed my menu over and over again as I couldn't make up my mind about things! On the day of my wedding, she came up to me after we arrived after the ceremony and immediately asked me if I needed anything. The group had placed hor dourves in the upstairs room for my bridal party to eat before our entrance as we were all starving!! Dinner was delicious and the entire night, everywhere I looked, anyone who wanted a drink in their hand had one. As a bride, you don't hear much about the wedding until after it. I cannot tell you how many of my guests repeatedly commented on two things that are a direct reflection of PPHG: 1.) the quality of the food was to die for. from the hor dourves to the crab cakes and short ribs to the wedding cake and the gelato bar, people LOVED the food. And I can say my husband and I were given some extra meals to go home with and we were able to enjoy it again and again for a couple of days!! and 2. my guests could not stop commenting on the professionalism, punctuality, and fluidity with which the staff conducted cocktail hour, dinner, and dessert, and the bar. Furthermore, and most importantly, many of my guests commented on how KIND and friendly all of the servers were. Rachel and Kailin, along with the rest of the PPHG staff, made my guests feel welcome and guaranteed they would have a good time (which is what was most important to me as a bride) and they made my wedding day an absolute dream. I'm sure that there may have been snafus somewhere (like all weddings), but I certainly never heard of any, and that is a direct reflection of the quality of the personnel and the hospitality with which this company conducts its work. If you are looking to get married in the Charleston Area, look no further than Patrick Properties - it really will be the best day of your life.

PPHG and Carly were absolutely amazing

My wife and I got married at the William Aiken House over memorial day weekend. The venue is absolutely stunning to begin with and Patrick Properties does an unbelievable job keeping it pristine. For our wedding, we worked mostly with Carly Terrier and she was an absolute delight. From start to finish, any question we had came with a quick answer. She understood our needs and made sure we had everything we wanted at all times. Her work with the other vendors and our wedding planner also made the planning process so seamless. If you get the chance to work with Carly, you will not be disappointed.

The actual wedding day, I cannot say enough good things things about all the staff at Patrick Properties and the venue itself. The hospitality from the servers, banquet managers, and security were the best around. It was a hot night and the servers did not stop all night, including nice touches like making sure your water always had ice in it. The food was absolutely spectacular and the presentation had everyone raving about it. The pastry chef custom made our cake and the work with the flowers on our cake has my wife still smiling. I can go on and on but Patrick Properties Staff and Carly specifically are highly recommended and another big Thank You for making our day so special.

William Aiken House

We held our daughter's wedding reception at the William Aiken House. Erin, Jackie and the rest of the staff with PPHG are true professionals and great communicators. From beginning to end they saw to every detail. The house and grounds are impeccable and every guest was in awe at the beauty of it all. Everything exceeded our every expectation. We recently got married at The William Aiken House, a Patrick Properties Hospitality Group property. The venue and PPHG team were an absolute dream to work with. The historic home and property were absolutely stunning and well maintained by PPHG. While getting married in Charleston, SC was a destination wedding for us, the team at PPHG worked with our travel schedule to best accommodate us for tastings and tours. In specific, Carly and Jackie from PPHG were incredibly friendly and professional, answering all of our questions leading up to the wedding, and were on hand all day during the wedding day to assist in any way possible. With some last minute rain on our wedding day, Carly was able to work with our wedding planners to quickly adjust our ceremony and reception layout to ensure our guests were kept dry throughout a gorgeous evening. In addition, the catering provided by PPHG was phenomenal. One of the biggest compliments we have heard from our guests was how much they enjoyed our station-style southern menu. From appetizers, main courses and late night food, PPHG delivered unforgettable food that far surpassed our expectations. I would certainly recommend PPHG to any bride looking to get married in Charleston!

Picture the one of the most quintessential southern venues you can and you will have Lowndes Grove, a Patrick Properties venue, with its gorgeous white mansion sitting right along the river where guests can enjoy an evening of cocktails and dancing under the live oaks and stars. Our wedding was last October, and we are still dreaming of what a special night it was in large part due to Patrick Properties. From the venue, to the food, to the specialty cocktails, to the cake, to the staff, to the after party at Fish, everything was just as we had imagined. The staff was amazing right from the start making sure we could put ourselves down for the venue we ended up getting on three separate dates (***if you know you want one of the PPHG venues book early-trust me). From there, they worked with us to come up with anything and everything we could think of. They were extremely flexible when it came to the food we wanted served and were able to tweak, replace, and even create specialty cocktails, passed appetizers, and desserts for us. The venue, Lowndes Grove, is- in a word- gorgeous so not much else is needed there. Plus, from the moment we arrived to start getting ready, the staff there day of made sure that we had everything we needed. I could not have asked for a better or more beautiful experience. Thanks again everyone at PPHG for helping make our day perfect!

We just got married at The River House at Lowndes Grove. It was amazing! The staff was so helpful and professional. We had a smaller wedding and we are from another state. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The guests went on about how beautiful it was.

Patrick Properties was great to work with. They are professionals from beginning to end and very organized. Lowndes Grove Plantation is what I had my heart set on from the moment I saw it. It is even grander in person and there is absolutely nothing like it. The water, the dock, the sunset, the house - the setting is absolute perfection. The tasting was exceptional and so fun and the food, drinks, and apps were absolutely delicious at the wedding. The tent and decor was fabulous. We had the best day of our life at Lowndes and the wedding was a complete dream come true. All day getting ready with my mom and bridesmaids was so fun and magical. Everything was super organized, and so fun and laid-back. The day was all about us. Lowndes is the ultimate wedding venue in the south. Nothing beats Lowndes Grove Plantation in Charleston, South Carolina!!!

The William Aiken house was the venue for our son's rehearsal dinner. The side yard was set up with a tent containing a small band and a bar, while the 2 story antebellum home was the site of 6 food stations. We had passed appetizers and a variety of yummy desserts topped off the evening. 186 people enjoyed the celebration and the food provided by the William Aiken house chefs was outstanding.

My wife and I held our wedding and reception at their Lowndes Grove Plantation property and held an after party at American Theater, a property they own/manage in downtown Charleston. The only word I have to describe is WOW! Amazing backdrop for each event and the staff was always prompt and courteous.

After the ceremony my wife and I were taking pictures with our photographer and we noticed a member of their waitstaff standing about 25 yards away just smiling at us for about 10 min. I asked my wife during the photo op, what is that all about but she did not know. When we finally got a break the two of us went up to this person. She was standing there waiting with a tray of every hors devours being served at the cocktail hour for us. Great touch I thought.

We had over 200 guests and Patrick Properties had an army of staff waiting to fulfill every need possible. There was never a long wait at any bars and the food was just fantastic. I highly reccomend!

Perfect setting for large or small weddings. We chose the River House at Lowndes Grove for our small October wedding. Everything was perfect. Reasonably priced, spectacular setting and view, and friendly and professional staff. And the catering provided by Fish Restaurant was delicious, so much so that we had our rehearsal dinner there too! Certainly a southern charm!

We cannot say enough good things about Patrick Properties. My wife and I are both in the military, and it's fair to say that planning a wedding from overseas was quite a chore. Ms. Amber Cote was such a wonderful event manager to work with. She helped us plan the event date, provided honest feedback concerning the costs and always gave us sound recommendations to help keep us within our budget. The Lowndes Grove Plantation property is without question the loveliest place we could have ever hoped for, and all of our guests raved about how beautiful the event was. Not only that, but the food from their "Fish" restaurant caterers was AMAZING! We highly recommend that anyone wanting a destination wedding in historic downtown Charleston should call Patrick Properties first! Their staff are kind, knowledgeable and the utmost professionals. We cannot tell them thank you enough for helping to make our big day a tremendous success!

We had our reception at The American Theater. It was cocktail style with food stations prepared by Fish, the in-house restaurant. The staff at Patrick Properties was more than accommodating with all of our requests and they did a great job of making feel like valued customers. The reception turned out to be amazing and I am so glad we chose to work with Patrick Properties. Do yourself a favor and book with me immediately!

The catering provided by Patrick Properties was amazing. Our signature cocktail was perfectly created each and every time and was a hit with our guests. The menu options are wonderful for whatever style reception you are looking to have and the service is impeccable. Margaret helped us create the perfect menu for what we were envisioning and helped us with every food allergy we had. The service was excellent!

My cake was designed by the pastry chef and was gorgeous. I never knew how much I cared about the cake until I saw it in person and beamed. It was beyond what I could have imagined. Thank you!

Fish restaurant provides catering for all Patrick Properties venues. They do an outstanding job. Their food is delicious and service is top notch. Went out of the way to make sure all the guest were happy and provided for during the evening. Last minute changes were not any problem for them. They also provided the cake for the wedding. Also delicious Portions were generous and guests said they felt as if they had gone to a fine restaurant to eat as opposed to the typical wedding fare.

Food was Amazing

All the food was so good. The hors d'oeuvres were all crowd pleasers - particularly the mini chicken and waffles. The Raw Oyster Bar was an absolute hit. We did soup for our appetizer on a chilly day and that was perfect and the mains were all so good. I also especially loved the late night snacks and the cake was so good!

Perfect wedding day

Lowndes Grove was the first of 10 venues we visited in Charleston and once we saw it, everything else paled in comparison. It's just stunning and the setting couldn't be more beautiful. Once we were booked, we worked with Rachel and Kailin at Patrick Properties on all the food and details. They were great to work with - highly responsive and knowledgeable. If food is important to you than Lowndes is a great option for that as well - the food was outstanding, equivalent to what you would expect at a very nice restaurants. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they've ever had. In all other areas Lowndes/Patrick was great as well - the day of staff, office staff, etc were professional and friendly. It's not a cheap option but we couldn't have been happier with how our big day turned out.

Patrick Properties is an amazing company with great people working with them! We met Amber last year when we were just driving by Lowdes Grove and she was so warm and friendly! She is such a fun person! Shannon and Kat were also great to work with! The only down fall are the restrictions on their food and beverage services. That all added up in the end, but in the end it was all great! GORGEOUS PROPERTY!! We got married and had our reception at the William Aiken house which was PERFECT! It was classy, beautiful, and a fun venue! Their service staff were all so accommodating and friendly to all, everyone complimented on how gorgeous the venue was but how friendly the servers were as well. There is a reason why this is one of the top venues and companies in Charleston!! THANK YOU PATRICK PROPERTIES!! --Jayme & Brad

The William Aiken House is an extraordinary venue for your wedding. It has so much character and charm. For a Saturday Fall wedding, after all of the fees, it certainly is not an inexpensive choice, but it is totally worth the cost. They have an exclusive catering contract with Fish restaurant and the food is delicious!
