We found Pastor Mike online and reached out to him to officiate our wedding. He was very responsive to our first email, and we quickly set up a zoom call where he walked us through the process and got to know what we were looking for. On our big day he was very professional and kept the ceremony light and upbeat, exactly how we wanted it. I could not recommend him more.

Pastor Mike was Amazing
From the start Pastor Mike blew us away with his quick wit and friendly demeanor. He helped us plan our ceremony and asked specific questions about what we wanted that neither of us had really even thought about. I do feel the price was fair, especially as he was willing to travel and contend with a very short rain delay. He even made light of a cell phone ringing during the ceremony. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone, and would hire him again.

Working with Pastor Michael was like working with someone we knew forever. After reaching out to inquire a bit more about his services, Pastor Michael immediately reached out and set up a meeting. We met for an hour, via a zoom call, he asked many important questions to get to know us and to understand the type of setting we envisioned. Day of our ceremony, in a cabin in the mountains of Sevierville, was perfect. Pastor Michael arrived ahead of time and spent a few minutes with each of us, separately, to confirm any last minute changes. The ceremony was just as we envisioned

The Perfect Officiant for Our Special Day
Pastor Mike Newsome was an absolute blessing to us and played such a meaningful role in our wedding at Howe Farms this past November. From the very beginning, he took his time getting to know us as a couple, not just as clients, but as two people preparing for marriage.
Before the wedding, Pastor Mike offered premarital counseling and was incredibly intentional, thoughtful, and encouraging throughout the process. He created a safe and welcoming space for open conversation and truly invested in us and our future together.

We could not have been happier to have had Pastor Newsom by our side on our wedding day. He had a wonderful energy, fluid delivery, and worked seamlessly with our pastor for our co-officiated ceremony. He was extremely professional and well prepared and made sure his speech was what we were looking for and fit us both. He even rolled with the punches when the wind tried to hamper our unity candle lighting, making sure that we got it done! Pastor Mike is wonderful to work with. We wanted to get married in Tennessee (out of state for us) but after some research with seemingly some grey areas in their officiant laws, we wanted to make sure we had a true minister to perform the ceremony. Pastor Mike takes the time to walk you through the process and gave us great confidence from the first conversation. Even during the ceremony we had some unexpected disruptions with some noisy neighbors and he handled them brilliantly. He turned what was the “elephant in the room” during the ceremony into a funny and light hearted one. It eased the tension and turned it into a positively memorable moment instead of what could have been a disappointing one. We would highly recommend!

Pastor Mike Newsom was truly the best officiant we could have asked for. From the moment we met him, his excitement and genuine joy for us were so clear. He made everyone feel incredibly welcome and comfortable. He balanced the ceremony perfectly—he was meaningful and sincere, yet knew exactly when to add humor to help my husband and I relax and feel less awkward.
We told him ahead of time that we were nervous, and he went above and beyond to make it feel like it was just the two of us standing up there together. His presence was calming, warm, and reassuring. Even after the ceremony, several guests came up to us to tell us how much they loved him and asked how we found him.
Pastor Mike truly brought our entire wedding together. We would recommend him to anyone and everyone looking for an officiant who is professional, personable, and unforgettable.

Exceeded our expectations!
Pastor Mike did an amazing job officiating our wedding! During the meeting process, he goes over how everything will work and kind of gets an idea on the overall vibe that you’re going for. He was very responsive, he would continuously check in with us and make sure we were still set with the date and time we picked, as well as anything we may want to change about our ceremony. He was very flexible, because we opted for getting married at a cabin we didn’t have a set time right away but he worked with us. During the actual ceremony, Pastor Mike was very attentive, he checked on both My Husband and I to make sure there weren’t any pre-wedding jitters and then mingled with our families until to ceremony started. My Husband and I wanted a very relaxed and God-centered ceremony and Pastor Mike exceeded our expectations, he was quick-witted, kind and it felt like he always had our best interests in mind! We found Pastor Michael through our venue. Being out of state, my husband and I were worried about finding the right Pastor to marry us. From the first phone call with Pastor Michael, I knew he was going to be a good one. He was very professional, but made us laugh and made sure we had everything we wanted in our ceremony. For not knowing the man, he did a great job communicating with us and making us feel comfortable on our wedding day. My husband and I highly recommend Pastor Michael.

Pastor Mike is the best
We travelled to Tennessee from Wisconsin for a small wedding surrounded by our closest friends & immediate family, Pastor Mike was amazing from the start. He was flexible, even when my husband forgot his shirt and had everyone running behind schedule. Making jokes which fit RIGHT in with how Josh & I are as a couple. He adapted and adjusted giving us a perfect ceremony in not so perfect conditions 🫣🤣 We truly would recommend Pastor Mike to anyone who wants there ceremony to be memorable, wholesome & adaptable in all situations. Greatest Choice!
Pastor Mike was amazing all around! He was helpful in explaining all steps for our ceremony during our consultation call. He also checked in with the groom and myself before the ceremony for a refresher. Our ceremony was beautiful and his words were touching as well as humorous, making it all feel as personal as possible, even with handfasting incorporated. We don’t think we could have made a better choice and are very happy to have worked with him!

Great Speaking Voice
We only needed one phone call to know Pastor Michael Newsom was the right person to officiate our wedding. His voice was captivating and calming. He listened to what we wanted included in the ceremony and personalized it more than we expected. After the ceremony, people asked us if we'd known him our whole lives. They thought he was a local pastor to whom we had grown up with! Everything was exactly how we wanted things to go, and he recovered well with new information. We loved having him as our officiant. We couldn't recommend him enough!

Sunrise ceremony!

Very good with communication/replying to emails. Did exactly what was asked and more! We were all late for the ceremony due to traffic. Our photographer had left before we all arrived. Pastor Michael Newsom stepped right in as photographer to help us announce to the rest of our family, that "family pictures" was actually a wedding. HIs pictures turned out perfectly as well! I wish we had visited his church for Sunday Services while we were visiting Tennessee. I'd recommend him to anyone looking for a ceremony! Very pleased we selected him

His communication was great, he was very accommodating to our wants for the ceremony, and we are very grateful for his ability to play/change the ceremony music without anyone even recognizing he was controlling it! Doberman ring bearer
Pastor Newsom knew exactly what to say to us to calm our nerves. He was absolutely everything we wanted, and didn't know we needed. We had a "destination wedding", so we had a lot to pack. The one thing we didn't have to worry about was Pastor Newsom showing up. Even with an unfortunate accident delaying his arrival, and prohibiting last minute preparations. We were able to read each other and he performed the ceremony flawlessly. If you're looking for an amazing Pastor with great knowledge about the whole process, we highly recommend Pastor Newsome! Flexible, personable, and overall a delight to work with!
We got to know Pastor Mike through our pre-marital counseling, and he really delivered on the day of our wedding! Everything he said during our ceremony was customized to relate back to our personalities and relationship. Our guests said that it seemed like we had known him for a long time! On the day of the wedding, he made sure to arrive on time, spoke with myself and my husband separately to make sure we were ready, and helped calm any last minute nerves. He was also flexible with my crazy schedule in trying to schedule our counseling sessions which was highly appreciated!

Gatlinburg TN Wedding Ceremony
Pastor Mike was absolutely amazing! He came for our rehearsal dinner and walked us through everything which was a huge relief because we didn't have a wedding planner. On the day of the wedding he was amazing as well! We had multiple wedding guests come up to us after the ceremony letting us know how important his words were to us that day and even that it was a great reminder for them to hear as well as already married individuals. Such a fantastic experience working with him and would absolutely recommend him to anyone in the Gatlinburg, TN area!

God Loving and Crowd Pleasing
My husband and I wanted our service to be focused around our faith. Pastor Mike did that for us. He Incorporated our faith into our service so beautifully. And he was also able to handle both sides of our family with ease. He made an introduction before anybody came down the aisle about phones. He even prayed with our guests before the ceremony began. Flexibility was amazing:D
When planning our wedding we were on a tight schedule and Mike worked right with us, setting up counseling to save money on the license and going where we needed him to. The entire process was very calming but professional. He showed up on time, well dressed and didn't let vows drag on too long but enough that we were able to really enjoy that moment. He left us with priceless memories that we will carry for the rest if our lives.

We personally didn't use this venue but brother Michael did indeed officiate our renewal of it vows.

We loved how responsive and helpful Pastor Mike was. Planning an out of state wedding can be nerve wrecking, but Pastor Mike was available to answer our questions, give us guidance, and was very professional. Our guests were pleased and complimented us on our choice of officiant for our destination wedding. The pastor performed our ceremony. He was very responsive from the initial scheduling through the actual ceremony. I would recommend him if you plan to marry in the Gatlinburg area.

Pastor Mike was an absolute blessing to officiate our wedding. He took the time to sit down with both of us, and get a little bit of our background history, and what our desires were for our wedding. He even asked what our wedding attire was gonna be like and when he showed up he matched the event perfectly. He put us both at ease as we were both extremely nervous. You can tell he is very compassionate and continues to check on us to make sure we are doing OK. We planned to hire him again when we renew our vowels. Memorable Ceremony
If you want a marriage ceremony that is authentic, real, and personal, then Paster Mike Newsom is your guy. In our phone conference prior to the wedding, he walked us through each step of the ceremony prompting us to make important decisions like the unity ceremony, who signs our marriage certificate, etc. He was always willing to make adjustments for personalization. At the ceremony, he was heartfelt in his messages. We loved his lightheartedness and advice! We received ALOT of compliments from our guests wondering where we “found him” we lived in Texas but we’re married in TN. Thank you, Pastor Mike, for making our day memorable!

We were coming out of state for our small wedding ceremony and Pastor Mike made the stress of this so much less! He responded quick to any questions we had and walked us through how the ceremony would go ahead of time. He was able to personalize the experience and adjusted as we needed. We even had some hiccups with our dogs during the ceremony and he was able to help make light of the situation. I couldn’t have asked for a better pastor for our day!

Amazing Officiant!!
Pastor Michael was AMAZING! He took the time to get to know us beforehand and it helped make the ceremony go smoothly since he knew our personalities and expectations for the ceremony! Not to mention he has a great personality and is completely genuine. I would HIGHLY recommend Pastor Michael to officiate your wedding!

Exceptional service!
Our time with pastor Michael was brief but with a long lasting impression. He talked to us and treated us like he knew me and my now wife like we were family. He was everything we could have asked for or more. He did our ceremony on a short notice and even stood in the rain to help with pictures. He walked us through every step thoroughly. I would recommend him to anyone looking to get married and enjoy a nice pastor full of personality and respect!!!!

We loved pastor mike so much. He was one of the people who walked us through every step of the way with our wedding, which was a big help since we didn’t have a wedding planner. He without a doubt knows what he’s doing, from getting marriage certificate, how to make pictures look good, how the ceremony should go, and will work with you to personalize it in any way. We also did marriage counseling with him, and he gave us some of the best advice that we are confident will continue to help us throughout our lifetime. When you hire Pastor Mike, you hire an advocate for life. He’s so genuine and just the best! Thank you pastor Mike for all that you’ve done for us!

Pastor Newsom reached out to us prior to the ceremony to get a better idea of who we are as people and a couple. He was very thorough in finding out what we wanted and we didn’t. I felt like he made our ceremony personal and listened to us. I’m so glad that we were able to find him.

Couldn’t ask for better
Pastor Mike was so easy to work with and really helped us before, during, and after the ceremony. He made sure we were comfortable and prepared for the ceremony, and he gave us a lot of great tips and advice. The ceremony was exactly what we wanted, short and meaningful. Being an out of town couple, it was so helpful having him ensure our marriage license was filed as well. We couldn’t recommend more!
