Our favorite officiant!
They say the first year flies by quickly…we can confirm this. Today is our first wedding anniversary and over the last week we’ve been reminiscing about our beautiful day and the people who made it unforgettable.
One of those people was our officiant Minister John Fuchigami.
Being from NJ but getting married in AZ, we were nervous about being able to find an officiant, especially since we weren’t planning on making a trip out before the wedding. Our wedding venue provided us with a list of officiants we could choose from and Minister Fuchigami was the first person we reached out to.
Our email correspondences were always filled with a warm tone and genuine responses which was mirrored in the phone conversation we had set up.
We knew after that call that as long as he was available, we wouldn’t need to reach out to anyone else. And we didn’t.
He really took the time to learn about our relationship and turned it into a story that beautifully captured us.
And it wasn’t just us who felt like he was the perfect fit. We had so many guests come up to us after our ceremony and tell us what a wonderful choice he was. They loved how kind and sincere his words about us were and the light atmosphere he kept. A lot of guests also mentioned he had a great voice (which we both also agree with!) and loved the Hawaiian blessing we opted for. We were asked all night where we found him! Even a year later, he still gets brought up whenever people talk about our wedding.
For any couple who may be reading this review, we wanted to share our experience and let you know he was such a wonderful part of our day and the perfect beginning to our marriage.
We felt truly lucky to have had Minister Fuchigami as our officiant and would have made the same choice, without hesitation, a million times over. -

Father John was the most amazing officiant we could have asked for on our wedding day. He took the time to get to know us as a couple and the ceremony felt so personal and specific to our love story. Leading up to the wedding day, he was a pleasure to work with as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our calls with him and you can tell how much he cares about each couple he works with. He kept us on track and thought of every detail. He was very fast to respond and he even provided us with suggestions to help make our ceremony unique and personal.
He made our wedding ceremony perfect. We got so many compliments on the ceremony and how great our officiant was. We cannot recommend him enough! -

I cannot recommend John enough. From our first intake call to signing our marriage license, he was kind, professional and thoughtful through our entire journey. We vetted several officiants and no one came close to the level of comfort and trust we felt with John. He asked us unique and thorough questions to craft a ceremony that was uniquely customized for us and was very flexible with adding or removing parts of the ceremony to make it our own. He was also always quick to respond via email and fast with turning around new drafts for us.
On the day of, we had many guests go out of their way to compliment John (and many suggested he narrate audio books in the future because his voice is so soothing!).
I can’t recommend John enough! You seriously won’t regret it!

John did an amazing job officiating our wedding!! From our very first phone call, he was extremely kind and professional, taking the time to know our story. He was always responsive and made the process super easy. On the day of the wedding, we were so happy with how he led the ceremony, truly heartfelt and captured our love story beautifully — it was so perfect!! He brought such a calming, peaceful, and full of love energy to the day as well. We had so many guests tell us how much they loved him and told us they need him to narrate a book they can listen to lol. We could not recommend John enough!! -

Having a good officiant is an extremely important part of a wedding, and it gave us peace of mind having someone as trustworthy as John to ground us amongst the craziness of our wedding event.
Thank you so much for performing our ceremony, you did such a beautiful job and everyone said that you were wonderful. Especially that conch, people absolutely loved it! ☺️
Your kindness, patience, and guidance made the ceremony so much more comforting and deep for us and we couldn’t have imagined having anyone better. Thank you for putting so much effort into every details of our ceremony and taking the time to get to know us as people and as a couple.

Best officiant ever!! Really listens and adds the both of YOU!
We had the pleasure of requesting John. Mostly because she was from Hawaii and my live in hawaii so I wanted to do something for them when we found out he does the conch shell. Little did we know we would have people rave about our ceremony. We spoke with John and spent an hour talking and he asked questions to get to know us. We decided to do something original and he even was impressed. It was his first time seeing this in all his years! We love hockey so decided on a true ceremonial puck drop at the altar! John not only worked that in but took the little time he has in getting to know us and made the most beautiful ceremony for us. People thought that we actually knew him prior to this. I couldn’t imagine a better officiant. He was more than just “do you?… do you?… I now pronounce you…”.
I recommend John 10x over and over. You won’t be disappointed. It will come from the heart and be so beautifully done. People will talk about it! He was clear, a good pace, was comfortable and made it enjoyable!
Thank you John for making our day that much more special.

We were truly blessed to have Pastor John officiate our wedding on October 11, 2024. Many of our guests shared that it was the best ceremony they had ever attended and were deeply touched by his heartfelt words. Pastor John’s kindness, professionalism, and promptness were remarkable throughout the entire process. I really had no idea how much goes into one’s wedding. We were already concerned as it was, since we were getting married in a different state, but meeting and chatting with John Fuchigami, we quickly became more comfortable in the process. John asked us all of the right questions from the beginning. He asked about our preferences and expectations as he narrated us through the steps. He even provided instructions on obtaining the out-of state marriage license. His also responded quickly when we had questions. My husband and I were greatly impressed with John’s thorough and organized ways while never losing sight of how special of a moment this truly was. Thank you so very much!

John Fuchigami is everything we could have wanted in an officiant and more! My husband and I are both wedding photographers and have seen a number of John’s wedding ceremonies. When we got engaged, we knew immediately that we wanted him to marry us as well! He not only does an amazing job, but he caters every ceremony to be personalized for each couple and truly CARES about each of his couples. He gave us our dream wedding ceremony and we couldn’t be happier! -

John possesses a rare gift of making you feel as though you've known him forever, creating an atmosphere not just of professionalism, but of familial warmth and comfort. He has a warm and positive energy that makes you feel entirely at ease.
Throughout the planning process, John's helpfulness and attentiveness shone brightly. He was consistently kind, showing an incredible flexibility with our schedules and an unmatched responsiveness to our emails with questions and requests. John was amazing from our first phone meeting we had with him. Our conversation with him was so easy going, like speaking to a family member or a friend you've known your whole life. My now husband and I were so comfortable sharing our love story with him.
On the day of the wedding we met John in person for the first time and he didn't disappoint us. Wedding days can be stressful, but he came in and made everyone feel at ease with just his presence. We are so happy with our choice of having him there with us on our special day!
John definitely has a passion for what he does and it shows! He helped make us comfortable and even coached us on exactly what to do.
With his words he captured our loved story perfectly and it even gave our guests a look into our love for one another. All of our guests had nothing but compliments towards John after the ceremony! You can't go wrong choosing him to be apart of your special day too!

He went above and beyond for us, and blew past our expectations. He truly always knows exactly what to saw and is so flexible, yet handles everything with ease. If you are looking for a magical Hawaiian touch to your ceremony, John is definitely your officiant!
We received so many compliments on how beautiful and detailed our ceremony was. I was in awe with the Hawaiian prayer over our rings. That was so beautiful.
I attended a wedding in Hawaii before and I don't recall the Hawaiian blessing over their rings as part of their ceremony so I was very happy that we decided to have John add that.
John even went the extra mile in adding an in depth explanation of everything he did.
All of it was just beautiful.
John's professionalism was very evident from our very first email to the very last.
I'm thankful to God for allowing our paths to cross for such a beautiful reason.
Take it from someone who was looking for near perfection and does everything with purpose and meaning...John will not disappoint! 😊

Pastor John Fuchigami made my son's wedding rehearsal and wedding ceremony so special! He has an amazing way of making everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. The way he guided everyone at both the rehearsal and during the ceremony made everything go so smoothly. His words were inspirational and touching during the wedding ceremony. We got many compliments from wedding guests on how they felt that it was "the best wedding service they have ever been to!" Pastor John was recommended to us by our venue. They knew I had family ties to Hawaii so they thought he would be a good fit. They were 100% correct. He was kind, funny, listened to what we wanted and blended information about us into our ceremony. Everything was perfect! It was a great pleasure to have john, not only to officiate the wedding, but to be a part of it. His energy is calm and pure and made the process so easy and very fun. I would say that John is a great example of human decency and was easy to see that he has a beautiful soul. He is so passionate with what he does has brought a lot of peace by showing how much he really cared about us and our moment. He shared so much Information through his experiences and was very open on sharing examples of what we can do to make our ceremony more magical. He is very talented and offers to play the ukulele and sing on our wedding. Not only that, he offers other amazing Hawaiian services that we could not pass. I was told by my guests that it was one of the best ceremonies they’ve ever experienced just because of him and how they loved interacting with John, so we’re very grateful and blessed to have John cross cross our path. I would say that we’ve made a friend over this process, when it felt like family, therefore he will be the only officiant I would recommend. My Family members cannot stop talking about having John to officiant their wedding! -
