  Don't hesitate to book an event at PassionFish Reston. Kathryn will make sure your event is wonderful. She was such a pleasure to work with, helpful and prompt in answering all questions. I had small flower arrangements delivered for the tables, and I dropped off a box of table decorations early in the day. Kathryn and her staff set them up and made the room look wonderful. I just had to show up and enjoy the evening with our family and friends. We had our rehearsal dinner on the Balcony room and it was lovely. I was worried about some restaurant noise, but it was perfect. You never knew others were in the restaurant downstairs. All the guests just raved about the delicious food and the outstanding service. Many stayed at the hotel in Reston Town Center and they could walk back to their room, and there is also a parking garage right across the street from Passion Fish. We had about 50 people and the balcony room was more than enough room to hold a cocktail hour, then seated dinner. Worth every penny, wonderful evening. Thanks to PassionFish Reston for making the Rehearsal Dinner so special, and a wonderful start to my son's wedding weekend.

  We were very happy with Passion Fish and would recommend them to anyone looking to have an event there! We had our rehearsal dinner in the private room the night before our wedding. We also opted to have a small cocktail hour before the dinner in the back of the dinning room. Our wedding was over 2 months ago and we are still getting compliments about their food. We had a slight issue with our hotel shuttle and ended up being a little late for the event, but the restaurant very accommodating and allowed us to extend the time we stayed in the room. Staff was very friendly, ambiance was great, and the food was outstanding (the Surf & Turf was out of this world)!

  My father-in-law wanted to extend invitations for the rehearsal dinner to immediate family beyond just the wedding party, which meant a total of 72 people. PassionFish was not only a gorgeous site, but really had that separation from the main restaurant we were looking for. Not to mention, it was really a great value at less than $60 per head with a 3 hour open bar. From the get go, our coordinator Kathryn was so helpful, responsive, and up front. She never tried to bend the truth to sell us on the space, she would give it to you straight, which is not common in the wedding world. Unfortunately, she was unable to be there day of, but she seamlessly transitioned us to the day off manager who was also a gem. We had a very minor snafoo with the table numbers, but it was a great ice breaker and they handled it very professionally. The food was always cooked perfectly, served quickly, and no one ever had to wait for a drink. I would highly recommend PassionFish!

  We recently held a surprise 50th birthday party for my wife at PassionFish. The party had an Oscar theme complete with a red carpet and 7 foot tall Oscar statues. PassionFish's events team was excellent. Highly responsive, willing to customize the menu and work with our various props for the theme. When my wife arrived she loved every detail. The butler food service was well timed by friendly servers. Each dish was very tasty and the guests raved about the food. Their private room is perfect for hosting up to 75 people.

  We did a brunch/lunch buyout of the entire restaurant for our April 2016 wedding reception, and it was absolutely perfect! We decided to have a cocktail reception style rather than assigned seats, so we had passed appetizers, a raw bar, and stations. We worked with Kathryn, the marketing and events coordinator, to create a custom menu with our favorite dishes. Kathryn even worked with the chef to create unique dishes for us and we got to have our own beverage tasting to create custom cocktails for our bar package. We had so many guests comment on how it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding and how friendly and attentive the staff were!
  
  Not only were the food and drinks top quality, everything about the planning process was easy. Since Passionfish is a full service restaurant, they supplied the food, beverages, glassware, silverware, linens, etc. Kathryn even coordinated with the vendor for the dance floor. This meant that I had one point of contact during the planning process rather than having to find multiple vendors for specific items, which meant less stress and hours of coordinating.
  
  Our key point of contact, Kathryn, was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was responsive to all of our emails and flexible when we asked for customized options or made any changes. She is extremely knowledgeable of how to best use the space and advised us on layout, menu, and even timeline of the day. It was so easy working with Kathryn and she made us feel confident from the start that we chose a venue that we could really make our own. On the day of the event, both of us were able to relax and enjoy ourselves, knowing that we were in good hands.
  
  Passionfish offered us the ability to customize our wedding reception and the peace of mind working with professionals in the business. I would highly recommend Passionfish as a wedding reception location!

  We had the most delicious Rehearsal Dinner in a beautiful room when Kathryn finished assisting me with the details. I live in Omaha and dreaded attempting to make arrangements sight unseen but she put me right at ease and was only an email away.
  She knew exactly how much we needed and her staff set up my centerpieces for me after I dropped them by earlier that day.
  The variety of food pleased every guest, even chicken fingers for the younger ones. 32 guests were seated comfortably for our buffet. The price was reasonable and we really feel we made the perfect choice in Passionfish.

  Shortly after getting engaged, my fiancee and I were looking for a venue in the Northern Virginia area that could provide both a ceremony and reception location for our wedding. After looking at several restaurants, we came upon Passionfish. Neither one of us had ever eaten there or even been inside. However, we had heard good things about the food and recommendations from a couple that had their wedding reception there.
  
  We decided to set up a meeting with the event coordinator, Kathryn. Immediately, we were blown away by the flexibility and willingness to accommodate our needs. We were so happy to find out that we didn't have to pay any fees for using our own photographer, flowers, DJ, etc. This was much different than all the other places we have previously visited. Kathryn was so helpful during our planning process and was a calming presence in the chaos of wedding planning.
  
  Two weeks before the wedding, we decided that we wanted to hire a DJ and have a dance in the private room. She was able to completely redo our layout by moving the reception from the upstairs balcony area down to the back of the restaurant so that our event would be localized. This last minute switch was actually amazing and our wedding turned out perfectly. Kathryn played an integral part in making sure that the wedding day setup went smoothly. She worked with our florist and DJ to make sure that the decorations, spacing, and location of everything was just as we wanted. She is SO GREAT. In the end, the wedding was better than we had ever imagined. Also, the food was obviously amazing.

  Passion Fish always has such great food and our Rehearsal Dinner was over the top! Very easy to plan and finalize. It looked great. I'd do a party there again.

  We are extremely pleased with our decision to host our son's wedding rehearsal dinner at PassionFish Reston. Kathryn Stulginsky planned and coordinated the dinner with the utmost professionalism. We appreciate her attention to detail in planning the event and Ryan McCarthy, the manager that evening, oversaw and ensured that it would be a success. We received many compliments on both the decor as well as the menu. Kathryn provided excellent recommendations on menu choices, place card design, seating arrangements, floral arrangements and delivery, as well as cocktail hour decisions. Chris Clime, the executive chef, produced exquisite meals. We are so thrilled with the staff that attended to us that evening - Allen, Aaron, Yanka and Rene - they coordinated the progression of the evening smoothly and with the utmost professionalism. We can't think of a better place than PassionFish to hold a special event!

  My husband and I are frequent guests at PassionFish restaurant and we find they have consistently excellent quality and service (try the branzino and ceviche). Because of our positive experience, I recently held a surprise birthday cocktail party there for 60 guests in the River Room. It is not an understatement for me to say that everything was fabulous. The event coordinator, Kathryn, assisted me in a professional and friendly manner throughout the whole process and she was spot on with her estimate of how much food we would need. Our dedicated servers and bartender were excellent. All of our guests raved about how wonderful the party was. I would highly recommend this space for an event.

  Kathryn (the event coordinator) was fabulous! From the very beginning to the end, she was very responsive, friendly, and incredibly accommodating! Kathryn greeted us at the beginning and let us know beforehand that the GM Ryan would be on site for any future needs. He checked in on us and was there until the end. The service staff was incredible! Every single person working our wedding dinner was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The setup in the room was 10 times better than I even imagined; it was absolutely beautiful! Every guest commented on how delicious all of the food was and how great it was that the chef sent out extra calamari to the tables! My husband and I loved every bite as well! I cannot say enough about how FANTASTIC our experience was with PassionFish! Our wedding dinner was the best! I will certainly be excited to plan a future anniversary dinner or party with them!

  When I got in touch with Kathryn, I knew that everything would go wonderfully with our wedding. Although not exactly impromptu, we did have only a two week turnaround for everything, as my youngest son was heading back to Korea for work, and we wanted to get married before he left. No problem for PassionFish! We have eaten there many times, and the food is always fabulous, so I knew that would be the easiest part, although I have to say it was very difficult narrowing down the choices for our food stations. We chose to get married in the room on the main floor, which was arranged in the style of a chapel. It was beautiful and decorated with the flowers I order through Kathryn (another thing I didn't have to worry about). We went with a subtle red, white and blue theme, as it was over the Memorial Day weekend and my husband is retired from the Air Force. It was simple to use an iPod for the music in the wedding room and then we moved the iPod upstairs with our own BOSE system for background music. We had approximately 75 guests and everyone had a wonderful time upstairs on the balcony. The weather was beautiful and the view out to the park was delightful. Needless to say, there was hardly any food left. I am glad we decided to have a separate Mac & Cheese station because everyone ate it as a side to everything! The tenderloin was melt-in-the-mouth tender. Everything went just great from start to finish - really the easiest event I have ever had. Thanks again, Kathryn!

  We had an amazing experience at Passion Fish for my son's Rehearsal Dinner. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any event. The person who worked with us was very professional and very easy to work with. The food was excellent and the service was good.
  
  If I had one complaint, it would be that there was not an elevator access to the loft area and we had a grandfather who could not attend since he was in a wheelchair.

  If I had one complaint, it would be that there was not an elevator access to the loft area and we had a grandfather who could not attend since he was in a wheelchair.

  My husband and I were so pleased with the first class service we received from PassionFish for hosting our Rehearsal Dinner for our wedding this March. We had a great time working with the event planner, Kathryn, who is very responsive and professional. She made planning the event a very fun experience. It was also great to meet and work with Chef Chris who worked so hard to make our dinner absolutely amazing. The food was beyond spectacular, and the private room was decorated beautifully. We loved the staff at PassionFish and are so happy we decided to have our Rehearsal Dinner there!

  My daughter and her husband wanted an intimate wedding reception last October and found PassionFish to be the perfect venue. It is a beautiful restaurant, in Reston Towncenter, with free parking nearby. They have two options for a private dining; we chose the downstairs room, which came with a private bar/bartender and staff, exclusive to our needs.
  
  Kathryn, the restaurant's events coordinator, was a big part of the reason we chose PassionFish. She promptly answered emails; offered excellent suggestions regarding food/wine choices; was extremely helpful in recommending the ultimate [single] table configuration and placement in the room; and personally oversaw the set-up. This included working with our our florist to fully realize our vision for that evening. We provided specific (color) napkins and small votive candles to coordinate with the flowers for the table; PassionFish supplemented with their own pillar candles, and the effect was stunning! Kathryn also arranged to have a docking station available for the couple's iPod. Attention to detail was impeccable in all aspects.
  
  Our meal package included a chilled raw bar; four passed hors d'oevres; salad or soup; three entree choices from which our guests could order that evening (one was a special order); and two dessert options. The food was absolutely delicious. While PassionFish accepts outside wedding cakes, we took advantage of outstanding dessert menu—thereby accommodating the bride's penchant for chocolate and the groom's choice of key lime pie.
  
  My daughter and her husband are still talking about how perfect their evening was at PassionFish and how the servers were extremely attentive to their food and drink needs that evening. Eight months later, when they returned for another special-occasion dinner, the waitstaff remembered them and treated them with the same care and enthusiasm! We recommend PassionFish for the wonderful food and the high caliber of staff whom they employ.

  Excellent experience with Kathryn & her staff. She gave excellent recommendations & took care of all the little details that could be overlooked. She made our day perfect! All of our guests commented on how smoothly things went. The food was phenomenol! Highly recommend the Bloody Mary oyster shooters.

We had our wedding reception at the Reston, VA location and they went above and beyond expectations at every turn - from working on the menu and room set-up to the attentiveness shown our guests and ensuring that everything was exactly as we wanted - it was the best decision we made to have our reception here.   The Rehearsal Dinner went off without a hitch. It was really seamless. Kathryn was always available to answer our questions. She and her staff set up the entire dinner location while I was at the rehearsal. The food was wonderful and the service was prompt, efficient and polite. We had a wonderful, worry-free evening as hosts of the event!

  Quality and tasty food was one of our highest priorities in planning our wedding. We've been to enough weddings over the past several years to know that truly fantastic wedding food is few and far between. PassionFish delivered on great food (our friends are still raving about it) and wonderful service. Kathryn was great to work with, she was extremly flexible and so helpful.
  The only reason for a lower rating is we ordered 150 votive candles from our florist and weren't able to put them up at the reception because PassionFish didn't have an open flame license (something that was new to us and our wedding coordinators). Had I known this was going to be an issue, I would not have ordered (and paid for) the candles. Our centerpieces still looked great, with PassionFish's (single) battery-operated votives along with our flower centerpieces, but I wish I had known ahead of time and been able to save that money.
