Kris and her team gave us a flawless and truly magnificent wedding. Every detail was handled with ease on my part and professionalism on hers. Working with her was very fun due to her down to earth and genuine personality. When my husband and I were looking at venues, we came upon PCMR at the last moment. I called Kris and she invited us up to view the venue that moment! The venues beauty was incredible, but it was Kris's personality that truly sold us on Mid Mountain Lodge!

The Canyons staff if profession, easy to work with and they also go above and beyond to help coordinate your event. I would recommend this great location to anyone looking for a great mountain atmosphere.

The team that runs events at that Canyons Resort is absolutely amazing! Everyone from the sales team who helps you book lodging to the catering staff you can expect to be treated with complete professionalism, courtesy and a smile. The team there was completely flexible when we asked for unique requests and didn't let a single detail slide by.

The Canyons is the most beautiful venue location in Utah. We were from out of town and it was the perfect destination. If you are planning a destination wedding you can book this site unseen! Our guests loved staying right on the Canyons property and our wedding was at the Red Pine Lodge in the middle of the mountain. The guests start the night out on a gondola ride to the middle of the mountain to your wedding on a bridge, then they move to dinner in the lodge and dancing outside in the tent! It is such an amazing place! The wedding coordinators are great to work with, so sweet and accommodating!

This review is purely based on the service we got from Deirdra at PCMR. Prior to Deirdra we were being "helped" by Colleen. From the beginning, we thought she was a little off, but then things got a little better. Three weeks before our wedding she informed us that she was going on a retreat they do every June and I would be dealing with someone else. I was shocked that I was not informed of this the day I signed the contract. But talk about blessing in disguise.

Enter Deirdra. Holy awesome! She was on point from the minute we got in contact. She was available every time I needed her. She called me twice the day before when they were setting up to make sure things were right. She met with me several times that weekend and made all the requests happen. Even making some great suggestions herself. The rehearsal went flawless. Our married friends were amazed how smooth it went saying theirs were not that smooth. She was sweet and even when she left for the night and handed off the duties, she made sure we knew who that person was. Unfortunately I don't remember that guy's name, but he also was amazing. Had the whole night completely under control.

Our bartenders, and chefs at our food stations, were friendly and interactive. I felt like they were having a good time with us. The next day I got into the venue no problem. Deirdra took us up there and everything was stacked perfectly for us to easily pick up and take home. She had the top layer of our cake ready to take home as well. I can't say enough great things about her and the team.

The venue is beautiful, and super affordable. I would recommend it if you like the rustic feel which was exactly what we were looking for. Just ask to work with Deirdra and you won't be disappointed.

    The Canyons was amazing!
We decided on a destination wedding to allow all of our guest to have a unique experience at the Canyons Resort. We love skiing and snowboarding there, so it was a perfect fit. We have been regulars at the resort prior to being married there.

My original wedding event catering coordinator left 2 months prior to my event, and my file was given to Bre, we got off to a rocky start over the phone. However upon meeting her in person she completely won me over, she was very detailed and was very comfortable in running her staff and executing our desired with the chef and staff. The staff at our wedding was very professional.

Having them ride the gondola to the top, having a private wedding, and the food was impeccable. I have major food allergies, and they were very accommodating with our food tasting and the head chef was a delight to work with as well. This was a huge deal for us considering I did not want my face to blow up on my wedding day. And EVERYTHING was perfect. We went with a very formal table service plated menu with a duet. Our guests were wow-ed at every turn.

They were exceptional to work with on custom cocktails, back up plans, accommodations, guest relations, and addition services, honeymoon suite, and the spa.
We had never visited in the summer and it was a treat!

A delicious treat for us and all of our guests.

We got married at Lookout Cabin in The Canyons in October. Both our ceremony and reception were at Lookout. Our guests loved riding up the chair lift to the ceremony. The weather was amazing which made the ceremony and evening really perfect. The staff was so professional, the food was amazing and the bar was perfect. We had a planner that helped things go smoothly however the actual Lookout Cabin staff was fabulous as well. Having our wedding at this venue was the most amazing experience. We did have a few issues and the only advice I would give a future couple is to be mindful of the chairlift schedule to get up the mountain. We had issues trying to get up the mountain early so just be sure the staff (all of the staff) is aware so you don't have any problems. There really isn't a venue like this and definitely recommend it to anyone.

I got married at on the Aspen Bridge and had my reception at Red Pine Lodge - both in the Canyons Village section of Park City Mountain Resort - and it was an all-around amazing experience. From our first tour through the next-morning brunch, I was impressed by the exceptional service and attention to detail that the staff showed my (now) husband and I. Emails and phone calls were answered promptly, our guests (95% out of town) were given 5-star service, and the staff were very accommodating to my severe food allergies. Speaking of food - hands down the best 'wedding' food I've ever had! (My guests felt the same way, so I'm not super biased!) Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend this venue in particular, but definitely this resort. It's fantastic!

Park City mountain resort was so beautiful. It would have been nice to have options such as "this is what I have seen in the past, maybe you would like this or I have seen. .." the food was great.

We chose to do a winter wedding at the mid mountain lodge - Red Pine Lodge - at night. The venue it self was breath taking. I saw nothing other than a few pictures online and to plan a destination wedding I found was simple. There aren't many expectations and I did so much on my own and I am very flexible so there was little that could disappoint me.
The one thing I had a hard time with was the coordinator there. She was very difficult to work with and had an attitude of her way or no way and she likes apparently typical cookie cutter weddings, which I can understand for ease of set up etc. However, our wedding was small with 50 people and I just had a simple decorations. The day we got out there she explained that our guests would have to help us clean up and load the gondola after the reception, even though it says set up and break down is included. I told them to throw everything away if they want, but that is rediculous that it would be expected for us to clean up. They also didn't seem to be careful about the budget we had and I felt like they would try to slip things.
Overall - I wouldn't change anything about my wedding. I just had my husband do all communication with the coordinator so I didn't get worked up and I had a great team of other vendors that made everything special!

Beware- No closure, unprofessional, neglected communication

My husband and I fell in love with Lookout Cabin as a wedding venue and hosted out wedding there in June 2021. There are several major professionalism red flags we had with this venue, and I would warn anyone considering having them as a wedding venue.

First of all, during COVID, they furloughed 7 of their 9 event managers. That means 2 people are currently handling not only weddings, but all events at Park City Mountain. In February 2021, my husband and I asked what the COVID restrictions were. They reported that there would be masks, social distancing, and no dance floor, which we understood at the time. In late-April 2021, we had our first video chat for planning with Jennifer Keller. She informed us at that time that there would be no alcohol service at all, and this had been a Vail Resorts policy all along. Despite us asking for restrictions all along, this MAJOR restriction was not relayed to us until 5 weeks before our wedding. We looked to cancel venues and were given conflicting information by Vail headquarters that this was NOT a Vail policy, which completely shattered our trust in Park City. After a week of stress and finding a new venue, Jennifer told us that the restriction was lifted. Because our guests had already booked rooms at Park City, we moved ahead with having them as our venue.

Next, a week before the wedding, we received an incorrect wedding night hotel room reservation confirmation e-mail. I called and was told they could not access our reservation, which was made 6 months in advance, but they would fix it for us. The day before check-in, I received another e-mail with the incorrect room type. I called again, and they could not access our reservation for an unknown reason. I spent an hour of my bridal shower on the phone with a man named Mitch, who was completely unprofessional telling me that this was not his problem and someone would call me in the morning (the day we were supposed to check in!). In the morning, I spoke to a manager at the Grand Summit Hotel who said that they had switched online reservation systems, and that was the problem all along. They gave me the correct room type but offered no apology, reassurance, or compensation for the hours of stress caused to the actual wedding couple in the 48 hours before the wedding. They again stated that Vail Resorts was "completely demolished" (using their own words) by COVID and was "understaffed".

Finally, it has now been 40 days since my wedding, and I have no final invoice of my wedding spend and what is owed. No one is answering my e-mails or calls from Park City or Vail Resorts. The contract states that a final invoice will be sent within 30 days. The one communication I got stated that they were totally backlogged with event requests and were processing my bill. Granted, we were told that we were the second event held at Park City since COVID started, and they are already neglecting to communicate or follow through!

We brought 75 guests to their resort for our destination wedding, and this is the treatment we received. I still have no closure. Wedding couples, think twice about hosting your event here! Their staff completely disregards you, and their customer service and hospitality is non-existent. I understand that hosting a wedding during a pandemic is hard, but Park City and Vail cannot be trusted to treat you with decency, communicate, or empathize. I am thankful for our other wedding vendors who made sure we were taken care of on our day.
