Cynthia Sent on 10/26/2015The food was overall delicious - a little disappointed with the pork with ginger/apricot glaze as it was dry. However, everything else looked, smelled and tasted excellent. We received many compliments on the food and heard the best compliment of all = "it doesn't taste like wedding food!" -
User866587 Sent on 07/17/2012Amazing. We hired the staff to serve our wedding. The set up and cleaned up with no problems and very very little direction. They were flawless and very budget friendly. I was shocked. I was a little worried because they didn't need very much direction or need much input from me before the wedding but everything was effortless. They checked with my mom before they did anything and kept telling her when they were done. -

Michelle Sent on 11/11/2011I love Sally and her crew! The caterer was very flexible with us on our menu and was willing to work with our budget. The food she provided for the wedding was fantastic! Everyone commented on how wonderful the food was! They were surprised that they got that much with only $25 per plate! The strawberry salad, steamed green beans, baked ziti and stuffed chicked with cream and pine nuts was super delicious! The cocktail hour also received a lot of feedback on how high-end the antipasto platters were, and how the hors d'oeuvres were delicious and complimented the alcoholic beverages just perfectly. The other great thing about Sally's management of the catering business was that she was very responsive to all our e-mails and calls and responded to us within a 24 hour turn-around (one time she even e-mailed me within 5 minutes at 2 in the morning)! I love how they were just like friends at the reception and were very attentive to my husband and I, preparing a plate and delivering it to us even though it was a buffet. They were always checking to see that we were okay and that we didn't need any water to stay hydrated - always concerned about our well-being. I couldn't have asked for a better catering service! -

Jessica Sent on 04/06/2011The most dynamic idea for a wedding buffet, pasta bar with chefs! Everyone loved our "wedding food" especially since it wasn't typical. Everything was delicious! -
User1031901 Sent on 11/30/2012I was so very pleased with Park Ave Catering. My wedding was so beautiful and the food was delicious, as well as the cake they did for us. I would happily recommend this venue to a friend or acquaintance who is looking for something reasonably priced and scrumptious.

Sally and her team did a great job of meeting our needs and changes we wanted done for my wedding in light of it being during COVID. We had a plated dinner served to us. The apricot pork, stuffed chicken and strawberry salad were very tasty and we got several compliments from our guests on the food! -

Timasue Sent on 04/01/2010Enjoyed meeting with the caterer, their menus were easy to decipher and the samples we tried tasted great. However, since the catering company was part of the venue's packaged vendors we couldn't choose what was to be tasted (i.e. sample meal for the wedding dinner). The Day of - the food was delish! We were busy taking photos so didn't get to try hor dourves, but heard good comments from family and friends. The dinner was very tasty.

User1048436 Sent on 12/18/2012When I had a food tasting with this place it was AMAZING so I booked this vendor. When my wedding took place the food was disgusting. The meat was undercooked and came with a sauce I did NOT sign up for. The vegetables were cold and they only thing good was the salad. I paid alot of money for this and was not happy at all. Make sure you go over food with this place a week before or even days before so they dont mess up your day. -

Yes, the food tastes VERY good - which I will admit is most important in a caterer - but the customer service was just not good.
In the early stages of tasting and selecting our food Sally was great. Very prompt in her responses and easy to work with. This suddenly disappeared 2 weeks before my wedding. She stopped really replying, I didn't get my final invoice until it was supposedly due and was not informed of when it was actually due since obviously I was not going to drive it to her house at 5 pm when I received the invoice.
Then comes the actual wedding night. Sally was not even THERE. I had NO IDEA who was in charge, had no one to go to with any questions or issues.
We had selected only one dinner selection and then kids meals for the pickier eaters, which were paid for, and she assured me I could order kids meals for whoever I wanted. I think I ended up with 6 for a wedding of 160 people. Then when they were passing it out, they told some of the kids they COULD NOT HAVE A KIDS MEAL because they "were over the age of 6". A kids meal that I paid for. And so what did they do with the kids meal they would not give to a 12 year old child who is very picky? Gave an EXTRA to another child. When I found out about this I was LIVID - but of course there was NO ONE to talk to about it because Sally wasn't there and didn't inform me of this or tell me who I could talk to. I have not even heard a word from her since the wedding.
Basically, if you just want good food but don't care how you or your guests are treated, Park Avenue Catering is great.
