We had our ceremony and reception at La Toundra at Parc Jean Drapeau on August 23rd 2015. It was absolutely beautiful and we could not be happier with our choice. Our rental went smoothly and everything we requested was available for use. Loved the indoor / outdoor space. Only note, we only had about 75 people and the room was not "empty." Although this venue says it holds 225, if you are having a sit-down meal and a dance floor, I recommend no more than 125 - 150.

This is a review for the Tour de Levis, inside the Parc. It is an incredibly unique venue--it's an old water tower. It looks a little like an Irish castle from the outside, but the inside if rustically modern--like someone out of a Jules Verne novel. It's fairly small inside, but if your event is 50 or less, it's perfect. We were married outdoors, among the green trees, and then went inside for a multi-course catered meal. Our planner set up a catering tent behind the tower, where none of the guests could see it. The tower lights up beautifully with candlelight inside and has great acoustics for a mellow acoustic band. Guests in good shape enjoyed walking the steps up to the top of the tower for a view of Montreal across the river. This venue helped us create the most magical night of our lives. I hear it's not used for weddings, much. I thought it was perfect. Oh, and our compliments to park staff who were courteous and easy to work with!

I really feel that this is the perfect place if you are someone who envisions getting married surrounded by nature. You have the option of doing a ceremony outside under the trees and near the water. The Pavilion we chose was the Jamaican one. It has wall to wall windows, high ceiling and is surrounded by trees. You feel like you are the only people in the world. It's right off of the race track which many guest thought was cool. There are electrical outlets outside for music during ceremony. Obviously this is not a "key in hand" service. Meaning you do need to find your own catering service for food etc. The man who I met with did give me quite a few helpful papers with the names of caterers, florists, furniture rental, djs ect...Everything went very smoothly. We did rent furniture. We did a cocktail dinatoire theme which the guests loved and found refreshingly different. The furniture rental place was late coming to get what we rented at the end of the night (4am) so the man closing up offered to stay for us and take care of it. It was so nice of him. If you like to dance all night this is an excellent option as a lot of other halls or hotels can put restrictions on how late you can make noise. Also if you are driving up by limo like I did make sure they let the limo go all the way up! They made me get out saying we weren't allowed to pass!? The young man was misinformed and I was escorted in by golf cart with my bridesmaids (which I thought was pretty funny). Another plus not too many people know you can get married here. It makes it that more special. Fun place to take pictures. Just wanted to mention I got married beginning of September we had no problem with bugs. Good luck brides. I recommend visiting this place.

The wedding was at the LaToundra Pavillion.
Pros: Beautiful, breathtaking Venue!! Its really unique, in the city, yet in a park....and on the Montreal F1 circuit...which makes it even more cool :)
Cons: Not cheap and has some restrictions (no smoke machines)- but its worth it!

Venue was so affordable and lots of outdoor space to take photos and quite simply refreshing to have our ceremony by the water. I'm so grateful to have found the perfect place for our special day.

We had our wedding in La Toundra. Although we were supposed to have our ceremony outdoors by the water, it was raining and we had to have our ceremony indoors. It was beautiful and didn't take anything away from being 'in nature'. It's a 'bare bones' venue, but you can still have the option of using their furniture (we opted to rent them). Great space for a wedding surrounded by trees and you feel completely private!

At first, this venue was responsive to setting an appointment to view La Toundra. We had to make changes to our viewing schedule, as we are coming from the US for only 2 days. When a time request was sent, we received no reply for 3 days. I then called to follow up, as I really love the way this venue looks. Upon speaking with the assistant manager, I was told neither of the times I requested would work for them. Which is fine. I asked if someone could just get us in for a 15 minute visit then answer any questions via phone to save everyone's time. But they refused without giving any reason. The manager then told me because I did not have an exact date or exact number of guests, no venue would waste their time showing me????? My wedding date will be set once I see the venue I like and I will choose a date they have available. My number of guests are 100-120 (pretty standard to offer a range). Not only were they unhelpful, the manager was insulting. Unfortunately this beautiful venue is off my list due to the lack of professionalism and poor service I received from the staff.
