    Melina was fantastic. Her attention to detail was nothing short of amazing. She made sure our wedding day was perfect. The entire staff at Paradisus Cancun went above and beyond to ensure every one of our needs were met.

    Cynthia was great! I am a travel agent and work with hotels and wedding coordinators all the time but having my own wedding I wanted the best and that was Cynthia. She was really quick to respond to emails and was on top of all the details before we arrived. Once at the hotel she helped us set up a rehearsal dinner and had great suggestions for the day of the wedding. The day we got married went so smoothly and everything was perfect. Friends and family were amazed at how beautiful every was and how not a single thing went wrong! They even provided bouncers so other hotel guests couldn't interrupt the party.

    The resort was beautiful and they had a few different venues to use for the ceremony and reception. We got married at the beachfront Gazebo and had the reception in the pool area. It was magical with the floating pool lights and sounds of the ocean, I would highly recommend getting married at the resort! I wouldn't change a thing except to stay longer!!

    Everything was amazing!! Cynthia our wedding planner was great!! Always organized, professional and friendly. Loved our photography and videography as well!! Daniela made me feel comfortable in front of the camera. The whole wedding was a fairy tale come true❤️

    Recently had my destination wedding at this location. It was rather difficult doing all the planning from so far away and all correspondence through email but it couldn't have been more perfect. The ceremony and reception location was gorgeous and they only do one wedding a day unlike some other resorts so you don't have to worry about splitting time with your coordinator. Their spa services were phenomenal they worked magic with my bridesmaids and my hair and makeup, and so efficiently! Their brand new bridal suite is gorgeous and perfect for pre wedding pictures.

    Erika was so very nice and helpful, any question I had she answer via e-mail right away, everyone was proffesional, food was delicious, I love my cake and was very tasteful, bartender Enrique was very nice and his drinks were good. Overall everything was awesome and my decoration was beautiful. Everyone in the hotel are nice and polite, Maria de la Mora was so much help making the reservation for all my guests. Altogether I love and enjoy every moment of my wedding and the hotel its excellent, I been there 9 times and I couldnt picked a better place for a destination wedding.

    My wedding at Paradisus Cancun was absolutely amazing! It was so beautiful and the wedding coordinator, Erika, was so easy to work with and did a wonderful job to make sure our special day was flawless. The entire staff at Paradisus made our wedding and coinciding honeymoon so amazing we will be back next year for our anniversary!

    The Paradisus was the perfect place for our beach wedding. With 92 guests there were zero complaints and many of compliments towards the rooms, food and the wedding coordination. Erika, the wedding coordinator, did an outstanding job. From the time we met her to our last dance she was always available whether it was via email, phone or i person and made the entire process so smooth. I strongly would recommend the Paradisus Cancun for your beach wedding. Absolutely Perfect!!!

    Our wedding at the Paradisus Cancun Resort was nothing short of fabulous. We were with a group of 49 people, so there was a lot to take into consideration. Working with Erkia, the wedding coordinator, was wonderful. She was very prompt with responding to my email inquiries and she was very accommodating for any special requests. The hotel itself was beautiful grounds for the wedding. The recently finished Gazebo was the perfect backdrop for our wedding. The food was amazing and we had many comments on how good the meal at the wedding was. The only thing that I would have added was having a bartended right in the reception room, however, I'm sure this could have been arranged for an additional cost.

    June Wedding in Paradisus Cancun

    We went to Paradisus Cancun last year and we loved it so much that we decided to get married this June. I worked with Marlene as the wedding coordinator and everything came out great. Our wedding consisted of 25 people and we were put in the royal service building. Prior to arriving to Paradisus Cancun we picked flowers, wedding package, audio & lights and photograph package. The responses via email took about 24-48 hours and I got worried at times but I understand they are coordinating future weddings and having a daily wedding in the resort and everyone is busy. A few days before the wedding Marlene, Katia (decorator), Nina (Audio & lights) and Camilo (sales photographer) had a meeting with us to go over the wedding itinerary. My makeup, hair and nails were done in the Paradisus Spa and I truly loved it. The decorations from Alquimia Events were truly amazing and everything that I dreamed of. The photographer Juan from Novia Mia Photography knows the hotel very well on where to take great pictures. The DJ from JSAV was really good and everyone danced all night and I liked the lighting that they provided. Baltazar, Carlos and the rest of the banquet staff were very attentive and everyone talked how great their service was during the wedding.

    The only issues that I had that involved my guests was that only 1 restaurant could hold 25 head count. Most of the restaurants are small and couldn’t hold the head count we had.

    If you working with a travel agent to book your stay, be sure to bring all the paperwork they send you for check-in. As we were checking in we realized that we were without our check in information and it made everything very difficult until our wedding coordinator saved the day. Speaking of wedding coordinators, Erika Arellano is THE BEST WEDDING COORDINATOR EVER! She and her staff made my wife and I's wedding day one the best times of our lives. The flowers, centerpieces, location of our ceremony, the suite we had to prepare for the ceremony, the food and drinks were just spot on. We had not a single complaint. Everything we asked for, she made happen and she did so with the most amount of positivity and warmth. We were always in amazing hands with her.

    If I had to say one negativity thing it would be this.... if you will be having friends, from other resorts, visit you at the Paradisus make sure they pay the visiting fee before they arrive. Our guest from outside the resort were not welcomed as easily as we would have liked.

    All in all, I'd enthusiastically refer the Paradisus to anyone at any time! Our group had an unbelievable time. In fact we are planning on returning next year!

    I can't compare to other resorts cause this is our 1st wedding (and hopefully the last one) but the place is amazing, we held our ceremony at the beach (la Esmeralda in playa deal Carmen ) and even tho there was a lot of seaweed the moment couldn't have been better. It was very simple with no decorations at all (way to expensive to decorate I'd say but I don't know if it's because I'm Mexican and I know that the price was way over the top or maybe I'm just cheap) overall, I wouldn't change anything, it was perfect the way it was and the staff is amazing

    I really ended up loving my wedding at Paradisus. It was much better than I expected actually. It did take the wedding planners a lot longer to respond to questions than were used to here in the states I believe, Which was very very aggravating. I would send lots of questions in emails and 1 or 2 would get responds every so weeks. So if you do plan on having your wedding here just know that the process is very aggravating.. BUT it ended up being so much better than I expected! I did use an outside vendor for the dance floor and lighting/DJ also hair and makeup. But I used their photographers and videographers. I haven't gotten all the pics and videos back but everyone is saying its the best more beautiful wedding they've ever seen/been to. It was a fairy tale dream come true and I am so glad I did it at Paradisus. I believe it is more expensive for the vendor fees and dinner per person here so keep that in mind when looking for a destination wedding. I spent about 20K for 80 people (not including outside vendors etc)

    I got married at Paradisus Cancun January 30, 2016. There are some pro's, so I will start there. Beautiful location and wedding gazebo and grounds. Decor vendor was very nice and did exactly as I asked. Photographer was AMAZING, although she told me they cut her contract and I was her last photo session for the hotel :( This is sad, because she was my favorite part of our wedding. Restaurant service and our reception service was great, as was the food.
    What went wrong to make me write a 2 review? Room upgrade promised in my wedding package was not provided. (my VIP room poorly cleaned/never saw butler). They cut electricity off for 1/2 of hotel at night, so I had lights, but no AC night before my wedding to go to sleep with and could not wash/blow dry my hair the night before my wedding. They promise a free dress pressing as part of my package, and the morning of I went to look at my dress and it had an iron stain on the front of the dress!!! The remote planner in Florida I dealt with for a year leading up to my wedding day told me NO to everything I asked, even when I was willing to pay extra, she never gave me options. The onsite planner (different) switched the location of my reception the day I arrived at the hotel- I had to spend 2.5 hours the day I arrived doing more planning. (& I visited 1 year in advance for the 'love at first sight' visit and confirmed everything). Night Club was important to my 33 wedding guests and was not open night before or my wedding day. (Closed because of lack of hotel guests overall-not my problem). With no night club and no bar open for my wedding guests beyond 10:30, I had to pay $2,000 USD for 2 extra hours of my reception to keep the Dj (Sound system only!) and bar going 10pm-12. The night manager also yelled at my husband and threatened to call the police when we took 10 beers from a bar at the end of the night due to no night club. Finally, they tried to charge me for my dress pressing when it's free.

    The person from the Romance department that worked with us was Melina Andrea Guerrero Rios. She was horrible!!!!! Words can not describe the aggravation we had all this year and especially the weekend of the wedding. Melina Andrea Guerrero Rios is unprofessional, does not have a clue how to organize a wedding, we don't understand how she got to this position. She did NOTHING we asked for. Melina Andrea Guerrero Rios over charged us for things she didn't do!!!! We paid $3500 for flowers, and two hours before the wedding Melina tells us that she did not order the flowers and ended up just putting some ugly flower arrangements throughout the wedding area not the flowers that we paid for.
    Melina Andrea Guerrero Rios came in the middle of the ceremony and asked us to sign papers for extras putting us in a tight spot where we couldn't even look at what the terms and conditions of those extras were, forcing us to sign minutes before the ceremony under stress and committing to payments that we were not aware of. Melina Andrea Guerrero Rios pulled out the plug of our music in the middle of the reception and asked for extra $2000usd if we wanted to continue for another hour, when asking her to show the contract where the time was stated she pulled out a paper that had the time in very small print without our signature on it, our signature was on all the other pages except that one surprisingly!!! Worst experience ever!!!!! She made the bride and groom very upset!!!!

    If you're thinking of doing your wedding at Paradisus Cancun, please consider another location. Our weddingwas for 61 guests in February. Perhaps they're better equipped to handle small weddings with no sit down dinner. The wedding coordinator was unfriendly the moment we met her. There were numerous email correspondences occurring with her through the planning. She was slow to respond to emails and had a difficult time corralling the decorator, who would take sometimes a week to respond to emails. When we met her all the documents she had with the recent changes were not there. We needed to review everything to make sure everything was up to date. There were a lot of things that went wrong and most I would have looked away, if it weren't for the lack of professionalism, friendliness, and in the end unfulfilled promises. First off, we were promised to have 3 comp rooms based on the amount of rooms we booked with our guests. We only received one, even though I have email confirmations to prove I was to receive 3. We didn't get our upgrade either until the following day. They stated we were going to get a credit based on a change in guest count, rather than giving a credit they were charging us for it. No matter how many conversations we had, they did not seem to understand the concept of arithmetic. On the day of the wedding, the coordinator did not bring my bouquet or the flowers for my bridal party so I can take pictures getting ready and she came late to bring me to the ceremony to start the procession. Then all of a sudden it rained and she said we would have to cancel the wedding! After much debate she stated they would move the wedding to a "ballroom" which just looked like a crappy convention center. They charged us for an extra hour since they had to set up the ballroom and I didn't want a reception for only an 1.5hr. We were overcharged by almost $3K. Basically it was a disaster! I would write more but space is limited. Save yourself money
