10/10 must use Paradise!

Paradise catering was absolutely perfect. They excel across the board from quality of food, service, professionalism, and everything in between. The apps, tomato bar, and food were all a highlight of the night which is very difficult for a 200+ person wedding. Many people complimented us the day of and week following how great the food was at our wedding.

Nancy, Jon, and team were so great to work with — they required very little guidance and were able to put together the best catering experience we could have imagined.

Best wedding food we've ever had

We were recommended Paradise by multiple people in both the community and wedding planning world. It was the best wedding food we've ever had (proving multiple people's recs correct). So many guests have told us how happy they were with the food. The lobster rolls were the crowd favorite. Also don't sleep on the rainbow vegan rolls (we had an aversion to anything to doing anything vegan, but these are the exception). People were so happy with the family style, where they got to try all the dishes and tables were replenished when they ran out of something. As the bride and groom, we barely had time to eat. But at the end of the night we came back to 6 large to go boxes with a sampler of all of the food we had so we could enjoy it after the whirlwind.

Beyond how good the food was. And it was not only good wedding food (my expectations as a guest of a wedding feeding 200 are never that high), it was simply great food. The staff is great and friendly. The team is super responsive whenever I'd reach out. I'd choose them again 100 times over.

Phenomenal. Hands down best part of our Wedding.

Absolutely the best decision we made during our wedding process was hiring Paradise. We hired them for three events and everything was incredible.
The food was delicious, they were so professional, and their staff was kind. I cannot tell you how many people at our wedding RAVED about the food. Paradise is an absolute must!!!!

Great Food & Service!

We used Paradise Catering for our wedding and could not have been happier. :) Valerie was amazing to work with. She was very attentive, detailed oriented, responsive and kind! We opted for the live grill buffet and all our guests were well fed and happy! We highly recommend using Paradise Catering for your wedding or any other event! :)

There are truly no words to capture how incredible it was working with the Nancy, Jon, Valerie, and the entire Paradise Catering team! They work with you to create the perfect menu based on your preferences, they were even patient and helpful in adapting and accommodating various dietary restrictions between us and our guests. At the end of the day, everyone said this was the best food they had ever eaten at a wedding. Everything was so delicious and unique. I can't recommend working with Paradise Catering more highly. 80th Birthday Celebration

Gifts from the earth prepared with the eyes and hands of an artist, the taste, the smell, the feel, the bowl of bruschetta, absoutlely divine, every morsel was food for the gods. Moans of delight with each bite were echoing through the room, our guest were raving about the display, the beauty, the taste, savoring each bite. Best experience!

The best wedding caterer I could ask for! The entire experience with Paradise was professional, and equally as important… DELICIOUS!
The whole team is friendly and helpful. There are so many options and details that go into the catering experience, and I so appreciate being able to trust and lean on the team throughout the process. Additionally, I had an extra request for the team and instead of them telling me they couldn’t do it, they were excited by the idea and the execution could not have been better!
In terms of the food, all of our guests LOVED the food. It was the best feeling having guests come up to you to say how yummy everything was. This is simply delicious food, period!
Thank you to the Paradise team! I hope I get invited to weddings in the future where you are catering!!

Fantastic food and friendly service

We are so grateful we found Paradise to cater our wedding! Throughout the process, they were helpful and responsive, and incredibly flexible with changes (even up to the week of!). The food on our wedding day was incredible - I am OBSESSED with their savory bread pudding - and there was way more than enough to go around. They even packed up leftovers for us! Everything was Amazing!

I am now the 4th person in my family to use Paradise for a Wedding. When we chose Gardener Ranch we knew we needed Paradise to cater. My main POC was Valerie and she was amazing- so great to work with, down to earth and even recommended my planner and other vendors! Nancy, Valerie and Ashley worked with us throughout the process to create menus for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding day that were different yet equally incredible. Our guests are still raving about the food. We chose to do Family Style for the Wedding Day which works so well and Paradise does an incredible job of making sure platters are refilled and everyone has more than enough food (no sad 5 ounce steak and 3 potatoes with them!). The fact that they cook everything onsite makes it taste amazing and so many guests continue to tell us how unique and delicious everything was. Corine was our main POC onsite for the weekend and she was truly incredible. She went above and beyond to make everything run so well- she brought us cocktails during pictures and brought my husband and I plates since we ran off to take sunset pictures as dinner was served. She was there at every turn making sure everything was running smoothly and added little personal touches that truly were appreciated. Amongst a team of incredible vendors, she really stood out.

We cannot recommend Paradise highly enough, everything from apps to late night food is top notch and they do it all with a smile!

Perfect Catering Choice

Chef Jon, Nancy, Valerie and their team are fantastic! From the initial tasting, we could not wait to have dinner at the wedding! The tasting was just phenomenal. They prepared exquisitely flavored dishes not just in terms of wedding food but food in general. I would gladly (as a matter of fact, I wish I could) go to a restaurant and pay top dollar for any of the dishes they prepared for our wedding. The tomato gazpacho spoke to my soul. Honestly! They are classy, professional, kind and most of all, fantastic chefs. Their staff was incredibly attentive throughout our reception and our guests have continued to rave about how delicious all of the dishes were. Aside from the location, the taste and quality of the food was more important to us than anything. We stressed this to our wedding planner that exemplary cuisine was non-negotiable. She referred us to Paradise and we absolutely could not have been happier with them. I highly recommend this team and will gladly work with them in the future.

Delicious food!

Our guests raved about the amazing food Paradise Catering provided for both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding. They were able to execute two completely different menus for our two events, which was incredibly impressive. The food was made of fresh, local ingredients and it was creative and vibrant. Paradises catering is by far the most amazing catering around. They went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day went perfectly from start to finish. Their food is absolutely delicious and will not disappoint. Every single guest at our wedding could not stop talking about how great all the food was. Best wedding food ever

Paradise was amazing! Everyone at our wedding was raving about how good the food was, and the staff was amazing. So helpful every where returned they were there to assist and make our lives easier.

We hired them all weekend for our welcome party, rehearsal dinner, and wedding.

Best caterer in Carmel maybe California

We love Paradise. They catered my brothers wedding mine, and now my sisters. Highly recommend the hand held Italian sausage and polenta tamales as appetizers, tie dye butter, savory bread pudding. Guests could not stop raving about these.

The team at Paradise cannot be topped. The food was amazingly fresh and delicious at both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding reception. Beyond Incredible & Unique Wedding Caterer

We could not be more pleased with our experience with Paradise Catering! During our initial tasting in 2019, my fiancé and I walked away shocked in the best way at how tasty the food was! We felt like we were given special treatment by Nancy and Jon as they served us such delicious and unique bites and customized the experience for us - we even got a goody bag of leftovers when we finished! Leading up to our (eventual) wedding last weekend, the staff was overly accommodating and understanding with so many changes. They worked with us throughout the pandemic and made sure we were happy with the final outcome - and that we were! Valerie met us on site for our walk through and again was so friendly and so accommodating. On the day of, Nancy made it a point to say hi to us and it felt so amazing to have their team be a part of our day. The food was outstanding, and all our guests complimented it. I would recommend Paradise to anyone!!! We are so grateful.

Amazing food!

We had several guests tell us this was the best food they've ever had at a wedding, and we agree! Paradise did such an amazing job with every single aspect. Even the butter they make for the bread is outstanding! My only regret from our wedding was not eating enough of Paradise's appetizers during cocktail hour. Everything was absolutely spectacular from food to service.

Professional team and delicious food!

Thank you to Valerie, Nancy, Ashley and Chef Jon for everything! We live in NYC and were postponed for exactly a year due to Covid. They were very accommodating and efficient with everything and worked with us on our 3 hour time difference. The food was so delicious, we ended up choosing Paradise without going to any other caterers. Best decision ever! We especially loved that it was farm to table, in which everything was so fresh! We had so many guests comment on how tasty the food was, from the beautiful flowers in the tie-dye butter with rustic bread, the passed hor d’oeuvres of lobster rolls and vegan rainbow rolls, the tomato bar with the candied basil - wow!, the wedding salad with the amazing peaches, to the live grill and entrees (salmon & braised beef)! The Jala Bac Mac's as a late night snack were a hit as well! The entire team was so kind and professional throughout the day.
We couldn’t ask for anything more on our long awaited wedding day! We also loved that they boxed up any leftovers because we both felt like we barely ate all day, so it was great to eat more later and enjoy the food without being on a schedule. Thank you Paradise!

Best wedding food we'd had

The Paradise Catering dinner for our wedding on Sept. 2, 2021 was truly delicious. Multiple guests remarked it was the best wedding meal they'd ever had, and my new husband and I agreed. It was very well prepared and truly rich in flavor. The meal was also healthy and made with several local and organic ingredients. I would not hesitate twice to book Paradise for your wedding if you can. The team was also kind, responsive and cooperative. A delight!

Made our little dream come true!

THE FOOD, my goodness the food. We’re so lucky to have worked with Nancy, Jon and their fabulous team who, from the get go, were attentive to our every need in planning for our wedding. Jon custom made the most delicious spicy tomato pickle sauce to accompany our dinner, Nancy hosted our guests as though they were her own family, Valerie managed our requests with patience and expertise, Corinne made sure our plates and glasses were full… and the list of glowing anecdotes for Paradise continues! After two years and two postponements, we’re so grateful to have had Paradise cater our wedding. The food was delicious, and I will be dreaming of their savory bread pudding for years to come!

WOW! Best wedding food around!

We all know wedding food is usually, eh...as self-proclaimed foodies, my husband and I knew that we wanted something different. We were looking for awesome, unique food that would stand out and keep our guests talking about how good it was and Paradise is exactly this!!! Everything was absolutely OUTSTANDING! They worked with us to create the exact experience we wanted...including delicious cocktail hour snacks, a mouth-wateringly delicious life grill selection, and even yummy late night snacks! The service was top notch and not a single guest was left wanting or needing anything all night. Every detail is accounted for with this team! The fact that all plates, flatware, and glassware were included made my life super easy too. Worth every penny!!!

Best caterer around

I love food. I’m a foodie and often very hard to please when it comes to food, especially wedding food. But Paradise blew me away from the moment I tried their food. They knew all my crazy food dreams for my wedding and made it happen. The food was incredible and now days post wedding, guests are still messaging us telling us how good the food was. As we had to postpone wedding several times due to Covid, they were extremely easy and accommodating with rescheduling and making guest count changes. They never made it a hassle to change unlike other vendors. They made us feel special and loved. Always there to support us and make our dreams come true. Not only was the food incredible, their staff and owners are the best. Valerie was always quick to respond to emails and always making sure our dreams were coming true. The owners, Nancy and Jon, there are no words for them. Helpful, communicative, friendly, and a joy to be around. We loved learning about their garden and locally sourced produce. We loved working with all of them during the planning process and day of. On wedding day, they always made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us throughout the night to accommodate us. We could not have picked a better caterer. Amazing food, locally sourced produced, friendly staff who accommodated every road bump along the way. We will forever use Paradise for our catering needs.

Truly incredible food and service

Paradise by far and away exceeded our expectations and created a truly memorable experience for us and our guests. From our first communications, they were responsive, kind, and flexible. Our tasting was especially fun and a perfect preview for the magic that was to come. Paradise engaged in an attentive creative process to generate our ideal menu. Our wedding food was not only unique and delicious but also presented gorgeously (including with beautiful edible flowers!). They ensured that all allergies and restrictions were attended to. Throughout the course of the evening, catering staff ensured that myself (the bride) and my now husband were able to get appetizers, dinner, and drinks (which was a thoughtful and much needed detail). The staff were an incredible combination of professional, friendly, and elegantly competent. All of our guests raved about the food and service, which certainly set a fantastic tone for the rest of the night. I'm incredibly thankful and happy that we chose Paradise! :D

Wonderful Food and Great People

The whole experience with Paradise catering was great. The food was amazing and the service was personal and professional. They came in set up served and cleaned up without any interruption to our festivities. Having them for our wedding dinner was exactly what I was hoping for. Everyone talked about the salad !!! Delicious food and amazing service!

Paradise catered our wedding dinner and I could not have asked for a better vendor on this special day. From the moment I first submitted a proposal request with them, customer service was an A+++ (and I'm quite particular about these things, trust me). We were not able to have servers on site due to COVID restrictions, but the Paradise Catering crew still managed to make it just as special. They dropped off the food in disposable containers with exact reheating instructions so nothing was overdone. Here's where they were OUTSTANDING: The containers they packed it in were too small for the weird oven we had in our vacation rental and they took all the food back and packed it in smaller reheatable, disposable containers and brought it right back! They also gave us so much food that we had leftovers for days after and oh my was it the most delicious. Our families couldn't stop talking about how good the food was! We also got the china, flatware, drinkware from them and packed it right back up after use without having to do dishes, which allowed our family to be able to relax and enjoy the evening after dinner. The next day, they came right back to pick up all the dishes. They delivered outstanding food with such great service and I would definitely use their services again for another event in Carmel Valley.

Best Catering Company

Paradise Catering is by far the best catering company on the Central Coast. They catered both my sister's wedding (a larger event at a wedding venue) and my wedding (a smaller event at a private home) and the service and food were impeccable at both weddings. Their food is so fresh. It is literally from their own personal garden. And the food is cooked and prepared live at your event on a live grill. The preparation of the food is practically an event at the wedding. You don't have to worry about a thing with Paradise as they supply all of the drink ware, flatware, plates, etc. The service is fabulous. You and your wedding guests will not be disappointed!

Wonderful people, amazing food!

We recently worked with Paradise Catering for both our rehearsal and reception dinners at Holman Ranch. We had a WONDERFUL experience. Their entire team is friendly, warm, and professional. They went above and beyond to make sure that my husband and I, as well as our guests, were well taken care of. They had a plate of appetizers + cocktails waiting for us after the ceremony so that we could grab a quick bite before taking pictures and mingling. They also had plated meals for us (even though the rest of our guests were having family style) to make sure that we got enough food. On top of the service, the food was incredible. I have received so many compliments from guests on all the food that was served - cocktail hour and dinner. Lastly, I know that the Paradise team pitched in on extra things throughout the evening -- helping our coordinator with guests' favors and questions. They truly went above and beyond!

10/10 Experience with Paradise Catering

When we booked our venue in Carmel Valley we looked no further than Paradise after hearing amazing reviews from our venue, previous clients and a friend who had been to a wedding with them as caterers. We couldn't be happier that we used them to cater our 105 person wedding. The food was exceptional; we got rave reviews from all family and friends. We went will family style and the absolutely delicious, yet no fuss meal matched exactly what we were going for. Additionally they provided MORE than enough food making sure no guests went hungry. It was an absolute pleasure working with their staff and I'd highly recommend using them for your upcoming wedding.

Amazing & Beautiful

Incredible Catering Experience

We could not be happier that Paradise catered our wedding at Holman Ranch in June. I can't tell you how many people commented about how amazing the food was. We still have people, 3 months later, bringing up certain dishes and appetizers that they had, and I still dream about the salmon with chimichurri sauce.

Not only was the food fabulous, the service was also fantastic. A big plus for us personally was that they cater at Holman Ranch all the time, so the planning process was truly seamless.

We really feel lucky to have had Paradise cater our wedding and highly recommend them (as do our friends and family who can't stop raving about them!)

Delicious food & great service!

Paradise catering was THE BEST decision we made for our wedding!! Nancy and Jon were so catering from the beginning and we were blown away by even the initial food tasting. Everything from the Hors d'Oeuvres to the main entree's was so delicious!! We did the live grill, which I was super happy about it! The food was so fresh since veggies are farm to table and we chose to upgrade to prime rib, which was AMAZING and came with horseradish and sauce. The salmon was so tender and everybody raved about the risotto and garlic mashed potatoes. The salad was so beautiful with edible flowers and fresh blackberries. Nancy went above and beyond with caramelized brie for the charcuterie station and we even got to add grilled artichokes at no additional cost. They were so accomodating and made sure families and parents were taken care of first. Paradise Catering was the most professional and easy vendor that we worked with!! I never had a good experience with wedding food before and all our guests said it was the best wedding food they have ever had!!

The most AMAZING food!!

Great food, great service

Paradise catering did my rehearsal dinner and wedding at Gardener Ranch back in November of 2018. It was a great experience from the very beginning. They were really easy to work with. Their communication is top notch, which was really important to me. They would get back to me quickly and always with detailed information.

We had a great tasting with tons of different options that really gave us a good idea of what to expect. When it came time to plan the menu, I wanted something a bit different from their standard offerings. They were really excited to do something unique. We wound up serving duck breast with a cherry red wind sauce and pumpkin risotto, and halibut with chimichurri sauce. Everything was amazing and people raved about the food.

Paradise catered my November 18, 2017 wedding at Holman Ranch and my husband and I were completely blown away from the very first day we met Nancy and Ashley. First and foremost, the food is to die for (truly). We first did a tasting with Paradise in July 2016, shortly after my husband and I got engaged. We were surprised by just how much food they gave us to taste. I didn't even taste everything because of how much food they gave us to taste. It was amazing! At that point in time we were tasting just to get an idea of whether we liked the food or not. We definitely did! Chef Jon made us a beautiful keepsake menu listing the food we had tasted. Fast forward to 4 months before our wedding, we couldn't really remember what we liked best. We did a phone call with Nancy and Ashley and they were so great about helping us pick our menu based on the notes they kept from the tasting. Valerie was amazing when it came to doing the walk through--she knew all the questions to ask us and our planner to make sure everything was executed perfectly. When the wedding day arrived we were again in awe over how delicious the food was. We had guests coming up to us during dinner telling us just how amazing the food was (as one guest put it, our dinner was the best wedding food he had ever had). When we had a guest surprise us the day of the wedding that they had a dietary restriction that would prevent them from eating the food, Nancy made sure to handle it quickly and professionally. I personally didn't learn of this until right before dinner from my planner but was so grateful to have Nancy handle it without complaint.

I cannot sing Paradise's praises enough. In terms of pricing, you cannot find a better quality for a better price. Without a doubt, if you want the best you have to hire Paradise. I know when my sister gets engaged I'll be having her call Paradise first!

Paradise catered our wedding in Salinas. The food was absolutely 5 star. The appetizers, the salad, the entree, even the lemonade and tea were amazing! Our guests were stuffed with the delicious appetizers but could not stop eating after taking a bite of the salad and the surf and turf plate. The staff was attentive and cheerful. Ashley, was a pleasure to work with. She was organized, kind and was even present on our wedding day. If we lived in California, we would absolutely use Paradise Catering again. We feel so blessed to have worked with the Paradise Catering team for our June wedding at Holman Ranch.

The tasting was above and beyond. Everything was created with fresh ingredients, unique flavors and a stunning presentation. Though we were leaning towards appetizer stations rather than passed, Chef Jon prepared a selection of passed apps for us to try so we'd have the full scope of their offerings to help us make the best choice.

The Paradise team catered our rehearsal dinner as well. Since the menu for our wedding was more traditional, we wanted to do something more unique for the rehearsal dinner. I emailed the team about a Hawaiian theme. Within a week, the team brainstormed the most impeccable menu - ahi poke tostados, coconut rice, Kalua pulled pork sliders, etc. Aside from being extremely talented in the kitchen, the Paradise team really listens to and understands each of their client's requests, then delivers 1000%.

Upon Paradise's recommendation, we chose to go with a family style dinner for our wedding reception. Everything they served was phenomenal. All of the tables were served within minutes of each other, and the staff were quick to clear and replace any dishes that had been emptied. We had more than a dozen people specifically tell us it was the best food they've ever had.

By now, you've realized how absolutely exquisite Paradise's dishes are, but the impeccable service is the icing on the cake. From the moment we first emailed the Paradise team, they were professional, responsive and best of all, welcoming. The day of the wedding Ashley and Nancy checked in as soon as they arrived. Knowing that we wouldn't get a chance to fully mingle during cocktail hour, Ashley prepared a mini app station with our signature cocktails for us to enjoy right after we said, "I do." During the reception, the Paradise staff continuously checked in to ensure we had everything we needed.

Where to begin... The staff and food by Paradise Catering are first-class and exceeded any expectations for both food and service that I ever thought I might have at my wedding. We used Paradise Catering for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception at Gardener Ranch. Nancy was an absolute pleasure to work with in planning the menus, and she is thoughtful and accommodating for all needs! She has great ideas that will fit whatever vision you might have for your day. Furthermore, the food was fresh, beautifully displayed, and just absolutely phenomenal!!

In addition to the phenomenal food, the staff is amazing. Anytime I had random questions throughout the planning process, I would simply call Paradise Catering, and Ashley/Valerie/Nancy were super accessible and helpful! This was such incredible peace of mind during a stressful planning time. At the actual wedding reception, the Paradise Catering staff constantly checked in with me (the bride) to see if I had everything that I needed to eat and drink. They made me feel like a princess!

I would MOST strongly recommend Paradise Catering!! I wish I could have another event in the Carmel Valley area just to work with them again!!

Paradise Catering was incredible! Nancy and the entire team are knowledgeable and so helpful. They answered all of our questions, and worked with us on selecting the perfect menu for our wedding. Guests have been commenting on how delicious all of the food was and it's been weeks. Paradise Catered our wedding on 10/22/2016, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice! From the start, Nancy and John were communicative and helpful, making recommendation and going out of their way to make our wedding dinner what we wanted. The tasting was really fun - all the food we tried was amazing, and the only difficulty we had working with Paradise was that it was hard to pick what we wanted for our dinner, because everything tasted so good! We ended up going with family style serving, and had Paradise do a fiesta dinner for our rehearsal dinner as well - the food was amazing, the presentation was beautiful, Paradise staff are awesome and helped everything run smoothly, and took extra good care of my husband and I. We felt so well taken care of by Paradise, were so happy with our food, and had many guests tell us that the food was the best food they've ever had at a wedding! Last comment, was we always felt that the price was reasonable, and whenever we wanted to add anything, we felt like we were getting a deal - the value was really good. Overall, I can't recommend Paradise more highly!

My husband and I used Paradise Catering for our wedding this past June at Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley. John and Nancy are amazing to work with! We have been to more weddings than I can count and we have never heard so many people compliment wedding food before. Our guests raved about the food! My husband and I had a pretty large wedding with over 250 guests. We are almost approaching our 6 month anniversary and the first thing people still say to us about our wedding is how delicious the food was. We chose to do a family-style dinner and our guests constantly commented on how beautiful, delicious, and plentiful the food was. A few of our guy friends joked that they never saw an empty serving plate or wine glass because Paradise kept refilling so quickly. Nancy and John make each and every part of the meal look like a work of art. The entire Paradise Team were wonderful to work with through the entire planning process. I cannot recommend them highly enough for the incredible work they do!

Paradise not only had amazing food but their service and friendliness was unprecedented. They did a live grill for my wedding and brunch the next day. By far our best decision for our wedding was to go with Paradise Catering as our caterers. We were married 9/18/16 at Holman Ranch and our wedding guests are still telling us we had the best wedding food they've ever tasted! Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but the presentation was also beautiful (something I really valued!)

Holman Ranch highly recommends Paradise, so we decided to trust them and book, even before our tasting. During our tasting with Paradise Catering, my family and now husband couldn't believe how AMAZING the food was. We were SO happy we choose Paradise! John and Nancy, the owners, are fantastic-- so kind, genuine, and incredible chefs. We loved learning that most, if not all, of the veggies and other ingredients in their food, was from their very own garden! Our captain for the wedding night (and who I was mostly in communication with throughout the wedding planning process) was Ashley, who was a complete joy to work with. Multiple people have told me how sweet she was at the wedding! She got our guests through the live grill buffet line in a timely and professional manner. Everything was flawless from setting up the dining tables, cocktail hour appetizers (on a display table and passed), the bar, dinner service, the delicious food, our ice cream bar (such a fun and yummy option they offer for dessert!) and coffee service. I couldn't imagine any better food or people to work with on our wedding day. We had the tri-tip, salmon and butternut squash risotto for dinner, along with the wedding salad. It was unbelievably good!! People went back for seconds :) Everyone raved about the bacon wrapped shrimp we had at cocktail hour.

We only wish there were leftovers so we could still be enjoying the food! :)

Nancy and Ashley are quite amazing to work with . They have provided 5-Star service from the very first phone call I made to the last to-go box Ashley packed for us. The short ribs, chicken and waffles and the Jala Bac Mac-N-Cheese were the hits of the day. Our guests repeatedly mentioned that this is the best food they've eaten. Nancy also catered our rehearsal dinner and the day after family dinner. The food the entire weekend was exquisite. Thank you for making sure we were well fed. It was quite special that you had an individual plate of appetizers and drinks waiting for us just after the ceremony on the private patio and for making sure were were well taken care of the entire weekend. Paradise Catering is the best wedding food I have ever had (and many of our guests told us the same thing). The food is so original and fresh, everyone who works there is amazing, and they are incredibly professional and organized on the day of the event. They made sure my husband and I were the first to be served and kept checking on us the entire night to make sure we had everything we needed. Every piece of food I had was perfect. We also had them do late night snacks (highly recommend the jalapeno bacon mac and cheese grilled cheese sandwiches) and brunch food for the next morning, and those were both just as amazing. My fiancee and I are annoying foodies from San Francisco, so when we decided to get married at Gardener Ranch in Carmel Valley instead of Sonoma or Napa we were concerned that we would have to compromise on our catering. We did hours of research and went to a number of tastings. To cut to the punchline, Paradise Catering created the most delicious and unique banquet we have ever had for our wedding in August 2016 - and all at an amazingly affordable price and with professional and fun service. My fiancee and I had a very specific vision for what we wanted to serve at our wedding. John and Nancy were awesome collaborators with us in designing a menu that blended Eastern and Western influences. Our guests loved our food and like others have said in their reviews of Paradise, if you go with these guys, you are guaranteeing that your guests will be telling you that this was the best wedding food they've ever had. In terms of value, Paradise could easily raise their prices and still be one of the best values in the Carmel region.

Paradise is extremely good at communication. Ashley was easily one of our favorite vendor point persons. Paradise’s contract is also 100% BS-free. Paradise’s customer service matches their day-of service, which was similarly professional and friendly.

Lastly, the intangibles. John, Nancy, Ashley, and the service staff at Paradise put a smile on our face during the whole wedding-planning process. Even though weddings are one-time deals, there was never a single moment when I felt like we were being treated like anything but their most important friends.

Nancy, Jon, and Valerie were so wonderful. They prepared three different meals and then we got to have a plate with a sample of everything. They were super accommodating when we told them that we wanted to hold the dinner in an alternative location. Food was wonderful and the staff was really kind and polite. They were also very patient when my husband asked them a lot of *interesting* questions and shared his far-out ideas. ;-) Most importantly, since I was planning our wedding from out of the country, it was really important that they kept in contact with me and were very responsive with their emails. Their professionalism is what won me over. Besides all of that, their menus are fresh, quirky, and delicious.

My wedding went so smoothly on account of Paradise. This vendor was such an important part of our wedding and Nancy and Ashley in particular stand out in my mind as such positive, calming, helpful, friendly presences on what can be such a busy, hectic day. They were right there when I needed them, offering an extra appetizer or drink, and faded nicely into the background of a well oiled machine otherwise. Not to mention the food was delicious! I am not sure where to begin, other than to say, if there was a way to give 10 stars, we would! Paradise Catering was recommended to us as a preferred vendor for our venue, and after working with them, I can see why.
From the first time we met with Nancy, Jon, and Ashley, we knew we had made the right choice. During our tasting, Nancy's warmth, close attention to detail, and of course, the AMAZING food, made it very clear that we had made the right choice. We planned our wedding from Colorado, so as you can imagine, communication is huge, and the team at Paradise made sure every single one of our questions was answered. On the day of, their ENTIRE team completely nailed it. From our guests' standpoint, the food was delicious, fresh, farm to table, not to mention how many compliments we got on our beautiful it all looked. From our standpoint, we had a team, and more importantly, Ashley, running back and forth in the rain to ensure we had food/drinks the entire time. Their team even packed us plenty of food to take back with us after the wedding! I don't think I can express how much we enjoyed everyone, and Nancy's sweet smile and hug at the very end of the night really made me realize how lucky we got by choosing Paradise! We would HIGHLY recommend them and wish we lived in Carmel so we could use them again for different events :)

We used Nancy’s team from Paradise Catering for our wedding at Holman Ranch (Carmel Valley, CA) in March 2016. We highly recommend them for catering your wedding!

Food
Paradise served passed appetizers and a live grill with amazing fresh food. The variety and freshness of the dishes were spectacular and our guests were raving about the appetizers and dinner dishes throughout. We heard from several of our guests that it was the best wedding food they ever had, and nearly everybody had a clean plate afterwards (several went back for seconds!).

Services
Nancy and her assistant, Ashley, were highly attentive to our needs throughout the event and executed flawlessly. We had several last minute requests that they honored and their whole team was supportive throughout the big day. They provided full bartending services, cut and served the wedding cake, and had several other nice touches (iced tea/lemonade before, coffee/hot tea after, s’mores for the fire pit, etc.). It was clear the whole team was experienced with our venue, and we’re incredibly happy with how the whole event went.

We highly encourage you to meet with Nancy’s team and try their food! We highly recommend their services.

We hired Paradise Catering for our rehearsal dinner as well as our wedding reception. The rehearsal was 45 people and the wedding was 200 people. Both events went flawlessly. Planning was easy and the food was fresh and delicious. We chose to serve the wedding as family style. Large platters of food were brought to the tables so our guests could choose what they wanted to eat and as much as they wanted! Nancy and Jon and their staff are professional and attentive. As the bride and groom, we felt well taken care of. We had someone checking in with us to make sure we had food and drink eery so often in case we had gotten side tracked talking to someone. It was perfect!

I cannot say enough positive and kind things about the staff at Paradise Catering. They were accommodating for all of our 250 guests and even made a few special vegan plates for guests with food preferences. We were able to sample the appetizers, which are delicious, all of them, I promise. They cater a lot of local weddings in the Carmel Valley/Monterey area and every time that I asked friends and family for caterer recommendations, they all told me to go with Paradise Catering. They did not disappoint and the guests were raving about their meals, especially the short ribs!! Thank you to all of the Paradise Catering staff that helped make our wedding amazing.

I feel awful it's taken me this long to review these guys - they were absolutely a joy to work with and completely integral to the success of our wedding. Every single person at Paradise Catering is completely wonderful. Ashley, who held our hand through the whole process and dealt with increasingly discombobulated/frantic emails from me as the day grew closer, is a complete delight - one of the sweetest people I've ever met. John and Nancy are both kind, genuine, utterly professional, genius chefs who knew the venue and made great suggestions as far as where and how to set things up, and were game to try some new stuff we requested.

On the day itself, they handled everything perfectly, adapting to unforeseen hiccups like champs and putting out food that was on time, totally gorgeous, and amazingly delicious. Conrad Geronimo (best name ever) was our bartender, and was universally beloved. And he somehow managed to run the bar perfectly and still sense whenever either of our drinks were getting low and magically appear with refills throughout the whole night. It was amazing. Along with him and Ashley was another server whose name I've sadly forgotten, who was also totally terrific and lovely. They were all truly amazing - going out of their way to make sure we were happy each and every moment. Also, we were so exhausted on the day of that we weren't able to eat very much, but they left us two ENORMOUS takeout containers, and we feasted happily with our friends for the next couple days. Everyone involved in Paradise Catering is so incredibly thoughtful, so completely genuine, so truly invested in the people whose weddings they cater, this is such a special company. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Paradise Catering was the best to work with on our wedding day. We were so happy with how everything turned out. Nancy and John know what they are doing when it comes to great food. We could not have been any happier with our Paradise Catering experience, as all reviews suggest! They are incredibly friendly, professional and enthusiastic about their trade. I can't say enough good things about Paradise Catering. My husband and I knew they needed to cater our wedding (and rehearsal dinner!) from the moment we met John and Nancy. The food they prepare is fresh, creative and delicious. We hired them to do our rehearsal dinner and our wedding because we liked them as people and of course their food.

For the rehearsal dinner, we had them do a live grill with fish and chicken tacos, fajitas, fiesta salad, rice, beans and delicious guacamole, chips and salsa for appetizers, and smore's for dessert (make your own). John ran the live grill and Ashley made sure we were taken care of!

We decided to go with a family style dinner at our wedding. Nancy was our head chef and she made sure everything was perfect that day. We had AMAZING appetizers, mini chicken and waffles, ahi tuna wonton crisps, butternut squash shooters, and chicken skewers with a peanut satay. For the meal we had a family style salad, braised short ribs, salmon, and butternut squash risotto. I can't tell you how many compliments we got on all the food.

We loved every person we worked with at Paradise, John and Nancy, Ashley, and Sunny, they are all easy to work with and do whatever it takes to make your wedding special. We would work with them again without question!

I just wish I could give Paradise Catering a 10 rating! Nancy and John did an absolute fantastic job! They catered both our Welcome Barbecue and our wedding the next day. The food was unbelievably fresh (mostly from their own garden) artistic, and SO SO delicious! Nancy has a very calm way about her which was GREAT for me everyone knows how stressful any event can be and she just kept saying Just relax everything will be fine. She was so RIGHT! She made it all happen in such a fun and pleasant way! Their staff was unbelievably friendly and efficient and by the way, very reasonably priced! Every year six classmates and their wives spend a week with us during the AT&T Golf Tournament. Paradise Catering catered my wedding at the Wind and Sea Estate in Big Sur, California. They were an impressive operation to say the least. I knew I was in good hands from the moment I met Nancy and Jon during two meetings prior to my wedding. They are very familiar with the Wind and Sea Estate, and even broke out their own hand-drawn map to show me how they would lay everything out for my wedding. Their menu choices were limitless, which was especially reassuring given that we desired an almost completely vegetarian menu. On the day of the wedding, Jon and Staff arrived to create a spectacular meal that I received many unsolicited compliments on. Numerous guests commented that it was the best wedding meal they had ever tasted. What I found even more pleasing than the delicious meal was the professionalism of Jon and Staff. They were extremely attentive to myself and guests, and it was obvious their efforts were genuine. You want to be surrounded by good people and positive energy on your wedding day, and that is the vibe the Team gave off. I could not have dreamed of a better experience with my wedding day caterer.... and I will admit that I am a perfectionist. I would not hesitate to recommend Paradise to anyone.... I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Paradise Catering exceeded all of our expectations! Loving food as much as we do, every detail was perfect, and the extra lengths that you went to for us made the day even more special. Crab claws? Cheesecake? The food from start to finish was incredible, as was the experience of working with you on a menu that was both delicious and highlighted seasonal produce and proteins. I cannot begin to describe the wonderful experience I had working with Paradise Catering. Nancy and John and Ashley are an absolute joy, as is the rest of the catering staff. The food was incredibly delicious. All of our guests commented on how amazing the food was. My husband and I were on a huge adrenaline rush and could not eat much, but loved eat bite we took, and were thrilled to take home leftovers. The presentation of the food was also beautiful. Everything was so fresh. The tomato bar was a huge hit with our guests. Nancy and John are so accommodating, we had a specific menu in mind, and they made it come to fruition. Paradise catering is the best! I hired them to cater my wedding and they did an amazing job. We did a buffet with salmon, tri-tip of beef, gorgonzola mashers, and grilled veggie's. Everyone said this was the best wedding food they ever had. Everything was so fresh. And the sauces were spectacular. Chimichurri for the salmon and horseradish for the beef. Delicious! Another stand out was the blue chip prawn passed during cocktail hour. But really everything was so good. Nancy and Jon are an amazing team. I selected my wedding date based on Jon's availability as I'd heard he and his team take such pride in their work. It was the best decision I made as without exception my guests commented that the hors d'oeuvres and dinner were fantastic !! As my wedding was small, no dancing, it was very important to me that we eat and drink well and that service be flawless. Jon and his team at paradise catering ensured our wedding was exactly what we hoped for. To give you examples, I had one guest who said the salad was so good, he could have had that as his main. I had multiple guests that asked for 2nds and 3rds of the lamb chops!! The mini crab cakes were DELICIOUS. AND THE CAKE AND COFFEE SERVICE IS NO ADDITIONAL FEE UNLIKE MOST CATERERS. While this may seem like a drop in the bucket when one considers all the wedding expenses, I feel this is a truly gracious gesture. Also, they had very good non-alcoholic drinks which meant non drinkers weren't limited to soda. Lastly, nut MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT! There's nothing worse than either an intrusive or frantic waiter. Our servers were subtle, composed, and always alert. In fact, one of my friends said half jokingly 'no more lamb chops?' To her table mates when the last was taken from the serving platter and she was surprised with a whole platter that instantly appeared before her - which made for more than a few photo opps and jokes!!!

Oh WOW!!
I want another event just to be able to work with and ENJOY the wonderful experience Paradise Catering provides! My husband and I met with Nancy and Ashley to discuss what we wanted. They totally got it and made some great suggestions/additions. Ashley was exceptional in her hand holding talents and prompt follow up. (do NOT be deceived by her young look; she is very talented!) She has a gracious "can do" attitude and made us feel so at ease. Ashley arrived Saturday with a staff of 5, Wendy, Monica, Cheydi, Luis and Francisco, one and a half hours before the party started.
They were AMAZING!! When the first guests arrived (on time) EVERYTHING was ready to go ~ fabulous, luxe, deeeelish table of hor d'oeuvres, bar and grill station. The service was impeccable, the staff delightful.
The food? Where are the adjectives to describe the mouth watering deliciousness of their food? It was beautifully displayed and served and just to-the-moon in flavors! My friends have been calling and texting all day to rave on about the meal!
After we ate and dessert was put out, they discretely cleaned up and slipped out without disrupting the ongoing party!
It was a perfect evening and we are so grateful to Paradise Caterers for the very big part they played in it!

I am so thankful that we chose Paradise Catering for our wedding weekend and could not have asked for a better experience! Everyone raved about the food and it was so fresh, delicious and beautifully done. Nancy and Jon are an incredible team and I would HIGHLY recommend Paradise Catering to anyone who is looking for excellent service and an incredible menu.

Additionally, Paradise is very eager to please and works with you to create a menu that is special and what YOU want to serve your guests. They have wonderful tasting menus to give you an idea of what food you could potentially serve but really the sky is the limit with them.

John, Nancy and crew are AMAZING! From start to finish it was a delightful experience. The food was outstanding and the service exceptional. They met every need and went above and beyond to make my sons wedding perfect! The guests began raving as soon as the apps came out, and the kudos just got better as the dinner was served! If you want great food and professional service with a humble attitude, look no further! As an event planner and caterer myself, my bar is set pretty high, and Paradise Catering did not disappoint at all!!

First off, we want to thank you for how much you contributed to our absolutely amazing & magical wedding day. Between the delicious food and the extremely friendly and prepared Paradise Catering staff - especially Ashley who is just the best - we were blown away.
When we initially started looking for caterers, yours was one of the first companies we researched. After looking at your delicious menus and finding out that you grow most of your food, we were hooked, but of course thought we would never be able to afford you. Wrong! You were so reasonable and willing to work with us and for that we cannot thank you enough. When we came for our tasting, we were bowled over by the 7-course meal you presented to us. Jon was so warm, kind and ready to listen to our ideas that when we left the tasting, we knew we were in good hands. Especially when Jon told us he would provide a special, personal sized broccoli casserole for Matt when he expressed his love for all things broccoli and cheese.
You guys exceeded our expectations on the day in every way, including helping to clean off and reposition our cake toppers when they fell off the cake. Working with you guys felt like working with family and that vibe added to the incredible quality of our day in so many ways.
Thank you SO MUCH for being the best caterers, so much in fact that our guests are still talking about the food & the service. And thank you for helping to make one of the most important days of our lives so very wonderful.

Our wedding was located on a private plot in Big Sur (we live in the Bay Area, about 3 hours away) and our wedding planner recommended Paradise. Since we were busy and we trusted our planner, we made a deposit before actually doing a tasting. We made a trip down a few months beforehand to do the tasting and we were a bit nervous!

We had no need to be, Paradise was amazing! Nancy walked us through the menu options while Jon was cooking up tasty morsels in the kitchen. The food was delicious, healthy, and the presentation was beautiful. They were super flexible with what they could serve, and were super nice.

At the wedding, our guests LOVED the food. We opted for the live grill option, and we highly recommend that to future clients. The Paradise staff was super friendly, there was plenty of food, and the quality of the ingredients was fantastic. They're worth every penny! :)

Nancy, Jon, and the entire Paradise team are just fabulous! They were so much fun to work with-- from our very first tasting, to finalizing the menu, to our final walk through, to the actual wedding-- they were there every step of the way and made sure our wedding was just perfect! The minute the ceremony ended their team was making sure my groom, me, and the bridal party got to enjoy the appetizers along with our chosen beverages. Their dinner service was flawless and they made sure the dinner was served at a perfect pace, not to interrupt with any speeches. Not to mention, the food! The food was absolutely delicious! Our guests are still talking about the amazing dinner and we just loved the family style way of eating. I would absolutely recommend Jon and Nancy to anyone getting married! They are wonderful people and their food is out of this world! Thank you for helping to make our day so memorable!

It's hard to describe is mere words how wonderful it was to work with the Paradise Catering Team in preparation of our big day. My husband and I did a lot of research into finding the perfect fit for our wedding at Holman Ranch and when we met Jon, Nancy and their team, it was clear that they were the best of the best. From the initial email inquiries to the tasting (where Jon and Nancy were incredibly sweet to package up food for my fiance to feel part of the tasting after he could not make it at the last minute) to the flexibility in assuring that our menu was 100% tailored to our tastes and preferences, to the friendliness of the service staff, bartenders, to the wonderful quality of the food, and every single thing in between...they made for an amazing partner and vendor.

They made it so easy for us to relax, enjoy and know that not only were we going to be taken care of as the bride and groom (including carrying our plates and serving us in the buffet line!) but also that each and every one of our 110 guests would feel that exact same treatment and service. We received multiple compliments from guests on the quality and display of the food and professionalism of the staff. Jon and Nancy are extremely passionate about food, how it's prepared, how it's served and take pride in making sure their clients are happy, which gave us incredible amounts of confidence in partnering with them.

As I mentioned, words cannot describe how thankful we are to the Paradise Catering Team for their wonderful service, incredible quality and delicious food!

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Paradise Catering towards Hartnell College's annual gala. Our event was a success and we are still hearing from our guests how much they enjoyed the festive foods. Paradise Catering's service was impeccable and provided Hartnell Staff and our event committee with piece of mind and we were able shift our focus on building very important relationships with our guests. Having both used Paradise Catering in the past and attended many other events they served, I was confident they would do a great job catering our office event. They did not let me down. They were timely in getting back to me with all the planning, offered great suggestions for setting the office up for different food stations, and most important of all served up tasty food with a smile. Everyone in attendance were well fed and happy. I look forward to working with John and Nancy in the future.
