Elaine is an amazing professional and person!
She's the best of the best. I went to her for help with our wedding invitations and was so pleased with her wealth of knowledge, professionalism, and passion for what she does. She guided us with selecting styles, proofing and getting perfect invitations. They were stunning and we received so many compliments! She's very dedicated, punctual, and thorough.
Aside from being a great professional she's a great person. She's kind, patient, and always energetic and joyful. I enjoyed working with her so much, that we also asked for her help with place cards, programs, favor cards, imprinted napkins, menus, and thank you cards!!
I can't say enough good things about her!
Elaine you're AWESOME and thank you so much for all of your help. I don't know what we would have done without you!!!

We absolutely loved working with Elaine at Paper Potpourri. Our invitations we custom designed with the utmost attention to each small detail. She's one of the few people who still practice this type of work and we were so happy to have worked with her! Highly recommend!

Elaine is the best of the best - her passion, joy, and knowledge of what she does is unbeatable. It was an absolute pleasure working with her. My invitations and envelopes were stunning, classic, and perfect for me, and I could not have created something similar without Elaine's help. She additionally is a wealth of knowledge about wedding etiquette, which was incredibly helpful when I had no idea how to word my invitation, address the envelopes, stuff the envelopes, etc. I will absolutely be going back to her if I need invitations for another occasion, and I will be recommending her to any of my friends who are getting married in the future. Elaine, the owner of Paper Potpourri, was truly wonderful to work with. She is extremely knowledgeable, responsive, and truly cares about each couple she works with. She is also budget-conscious and never tried to upsell us on anything we didn't need. The invitations we selected were so elegant (Kleinfeld collection) and we didn't find that particular invitation suite anywhere else. We met with three stationers before choosing Elaine at Paper Potpourri and it was an easy decision. We were very pleased with how our invitations turned out.

Elaine was not only accommodating and extremely nice, but very professional and knowledgable with numerous years of experience. She was able to help us find the design that best suited our personal styles and our venue and we cherished her advice. She made the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free! (which is all a newly engaged couple could ask for). In regards to the final product, it was just perfect! Elegant and even better than what we had hoped for.

Elaine is excellent and you will not find another in the area with her expertise! She is very knowledgeable and happy to share her knowledge with couples. She respects the wishes of the couple and is such a pleasure to work with. I very highly recommend her for your wedding stationary needs!

Elaine is a true professional... Obtained her services 15 years ago for my daughter's wedding and again this month for a close relative who is planning a wedding. The outcome was exactly as expected! Elaine was both diligent and effective. Our guests thought the invitations and seating cards were elegant, and we greatly appreciated how professionally and thoughtfully she presented and attended to every detail. Elaine, the owner of Paper Potpourri was such a pleasure to work with. She is so professional yet friendly and makes her home so welcome. She has many options to choose from and many items available. She takes her time to choose the right invitations to match your style, from traditional to modern. Elaine guides you through the process of ordering, and provides directions as to how to type your list! She even gives a tutorial on how to assemble the invitations (although she also provides this service if you choose!). Elaine is prompt and precise and knows the proper etiquette so she can answer any question along the way! :) I also got my thank you cards from Paper Potpourri and will soon order my wedding programs and place cards! Elaine is a thoughtful and lovely business owner who provides fantastic customer service and this why she has been in business for so long! Paper Potpourri is THE place for wedding invitations and much more!

Elaine was so great to work with! She is so professional and her knowledge of invitations is unlike any other. We were working with a tight budget and she helped us find beautiful invitations within our price range that complimented us perfectly. Whatever you do, do not order your invitations online! People will judge your wedding, and base their gift off the quality of your invitation. It was very important to my fiance and I to have invitations that fit the style of our wedding. We are both very religious, so having our wedding ceremony at our parish was very important to us. Elaine was very respectful of our personalities, needs and our budget. I had to meet with her a couple times, because I'm indecisive, but she was always responsive. Seriously, she will respond 24/7! She made me feel like I was her only client with her attentiveness to detail, and how dedicated she was to helping me find the perfect wedding invitations. Our invitations arrived a couple weeks ago, and my fiance and I could not be happier! They are simply stunning! I'd definitely recommend having Elaine address your invitations, ours came out lovely and saved us calligraphy lessons and hours of frustration. Even though summer is busy, and Elaine was traveling, she always made sure to get back to me within a couple hours. She was leaving for Canada, and took the time to pull a couple strings to get my invitations done on time (I was cutting it pretty close to the 6-8 month mark, which is absolutely my fault for procrastinating and being so picky), and at no extra cost to me!

Seriously, look no further, Elaine is wonderful- and she works with any budget!

Elaine was an absolutely joy to work with!! I had initially heard about Paper Potpourri through my (now) sister-in-law. When I met Elaine for the first time, I was overwhelmed with how welcoming and lovely she was! She made me feel comfortable and immediately at home and taken care of. She is so sweet and knowledgeable and clearly knows her stuff. Elaine helped me select the most stunning invitations that are classic and exactly what I was looking for. Elaine has a personal touch to her process that can easily be lost or overlooked by vendors in the ever-changing, crazy wedding planning process. My wedding was over 2 months ago, and I continue to receive compliments on my invitations. Elaine, thank you SO much for my stunning invitations! You were an absolute dream to work with!

Elaine was beyond a pleasure to work with. From the minute we walked in the door we were greeted with the most welcoming open arms. Elaine is the type of person who truly cares about making sure she provides you with exactly what you are looking for. She took the time to get to know me and my fiancé as a couple as well as our venue and what we liked and disliked. She was so patient with all of our questions and at no time did we feel rushed. Not only did she have an incredibly large selection, she knew the vendors and styles like the back of her hand and knew exactly which invite on which page in which book to show us. We ended up customizing our order and she dealt directly with the vendor and sent us proofs with her feedback and expertise to insure we got exactly what we were looking for. We have received so many compliments on our invitations and have already been asked who we used for the future reference of many of our friends. Elaine also did our caligraphy for us at the best price we found in the area. We ordered our thank you notes from her and plan on doing our seating cards through her as well. If you have any question on whether to work with someone in person or to just order online I would recommend working Elaine 100 times out of 100. Elaine is a pleasure to work with and truly provides a top notch experience all around. She also specializes in invitation etiquette. We had some tricky and unique questions for her and she was able to get back to us with an educated and researched answer for each and every one of them. Thanks for an amazing experience Elaine!

Working with Elaine on our wedding invitations was such a wonderful experience. My fiancé and I felt like we were part of her family! Elaine is one of the sweetest, most honest, and responsible woman I have ever done business with. She gave me so many ideas and catered to my preferences when choosing my invitations. She gives her honest opinion and was really involved with my invitation process. Usually planning parties are stressful, but Elaine made this event much easier and stress-free. Elaine is an absolute pleasure to work with. She truly cared about getting to know my fiance and I before we even began looking at invitation ideas. She never made me feel rushed or pressured to make a decision. Her guidance helped greatly and she went out of her way to best answer any questions I had. She was available by phone or email practically 24/7 and never took more than 24 hours to respond to me. I plan on returning to her for wedding place cards and any other future invitations I may need.

Elaine is amazing, and she know absolutely everything about invitations an mailing edicate ( and is one of the sweetest people on earth)!!
She has access to an enormous volume of invitations and stationary, and will help you find the perfect invitation and/or stationary - she has tons of options for all kinds of budgets. In just a few minutes of taking she was able to zoned in on what ended up being the invitationwe used. She is a master of this craft, she helped us construct the perfect wording that was right for us & our wedding, kept us from over ordering things we didn't actually need, and monitored the order until it arrived - beautifully boxed and labeled.
She also did the addressing on the invites which was gorgeous, she took the time to use the same color from the invitation on the addresses. It felt like she worked around the cooked b/c she had it done and back to us in just a few days. I picked it up and she took the time to give me advice on how to put them together to mail out (made things so much easier!).
By the time your invitations come in you'll know you have the most perfect product and want to invite her to your wedding!! Elaine is amazing to work with, she loved her work and would love to work with you. Highly recommend.

Elaine was lovely to work with! She is such a sweet, kind and generous person who always had out best interest in mind. We already knew what we were looking for as we had a theme for our wedding picked out. Regardless of the theme, she was not going to show us any options until we gave her our budget as there are many many options, papers and designs to work with. Throughout the entire process she always had our budget, best interest and wedding theme in mind. She will never steer you in the wrong direction either. She has been in the invitation and wedding business for a number of years and is well worth the trip outside of the city to visit and check out. Elaine was also extremely flexible and was there for us if we needed anything changed or printed last minute. She was top notch and I am sure we will be using her in the future for our invitation needs.

My husband and I work in software development and are on our computers all day, so when we first set out to get invitations, we though we'd just do it ourselves. After getting frustrated with the vendor websites, we finally decided to call a stationary expert, and we are so pleased that we worked with Elaine. She helped us find beautiful invitations that fit our personalities and the style of the wedding, and several people reached out to me to tell me how stunning our stationary was. We also went back to Elaine for our ceremony programs and escort cards, and we loved these, too. We made a mistake and were missing one couple's escort card, and I was freaking out. Elaine was able to print it up and have it ready for my husband to pick up the morning of the wedding. She is amazing!

Elaine was fantastic to work with. She knows etiquette inside and out and shares this information with you as you're browsing invitations. She was so informative and very professional in her demeanor--we were VERY pleased with our invitations! She asks your budget and what you're looking for in an invitation and she will not go over that budget, which is important. I would highly recommend Elaine for invitations--she is just the sweetest, most genuine person we got to work with for our wedding and it was a pleasure having her do our invitations. Professional to the maximum--she really knows her stuff!

Invitations was something I really felt like I needed help with. Addressing, etiquette etc there's so much to think about. I met Elaine at a bridal show and remembered her months later when time to order invites. Elaine is amazing! She helped me create our invitations and really listened to what I wanted. She is honest and works well with whatever your budget may be. Elaine is simply the best and truly an expert in her field. I am so happy with the finished product. Very informative on how to properly fill out an invitation (things I would never of known). Stayed in budget but was still able to find stunning invitations. She went above and beyond to find the specific envelopes I wanted as well as addressing all my envelopes. I highly recommend her!

Elaine at Paper Potpourri is one of the most kind and professional individuals I have ever done business with. She is extremely knowledgeable about her industry and is willing to help you, no matter the size or budget of your business with her. She really took the time to get to know me as a bride and envision what type of invitation would reflect me and our wedding. She was extremely patient with me as I sometimes take a while making a decision and can ask a lot of questions. When I saw the final invitation package my breath was taken away. It was absolutely STUNNING! Everything I ever imagined my invitations would be. She did an amazing job. I would recommend her to anyone looking for any sort of invitation. Elaine was wonderful to work with! We had a small wedding something many vendors may not have been willing to do but she was more than happy to help and make sure I felt just as important as someone ordering triple the amount of invitations. She was able to be extremely accommodating to my schedule and was full of wonderful help and advice. I could not be happier with our invitations and what was an overall great experience working with and getting to know her. I went to her after having enjoying her work on my sister’s wedding invitations and would highly recommend her to anyone getting married.

Elaine at Paper Potpourri does an amazing job! She recently did custom napkins for our Chamber golf tournament. They were a HUGE hit. She also did custom made one of a kind invitations for my wedding. She really knows her stuff! I highly recommend Elaine and Paper Potpourri.

Elaine was recommended by a friend and I am so glad she did! I had a different situation because I had someone designing my invitations and had inquired with Elaine about printing and calligraphy. First impressions are extremely important- so the invitation to a wedding sets the tone- Our wedding invitations were the gateway to our elegant and classic romantic wedding- Elaine was absolutely amazing- her eye for detail and class is just unbelievable. She was so helpful, patient, and understanding. Being a long distance bride she did everything through email and phone calls and sending samples. She didn't stop until she found the best possible invitation for our taste and our budget. She was just a joy to work with. She added to our dream day! Elaine is the best!!!!! My save the dates, wedding invitations, shower invitations, thank you notes, programs, napkins, ribbon, etc. all came out fantastic thanks to her knowledge and expertise. I cannot say enough great things about Elaine. I fell upon her by doing a simple google search, when trying to find someone to print our save the dates. Following working with her on this, we continued to work with her for wedding invitations, table signs, menu cards, ceremony programs, and place cards. She was a delight to work with, and her attention to detail and customer service was outstanding. I originally called Elaine from Paper Potpourri to see if she offered calligraphy services. I thought that I had settled on an invitation I saw online. Once I spoke with her I agreed to give her a chance. At first, like most other bride/grooms, I was put off by the appearance of her office…there is stuff everywhere. But it was immediately clear that it was an organized mess as Elaine knew exactly where everything was. I can’t say enough about her. She was truly awesome to work with. She worked with me endlessly until we found a design that my then fiancé and I loved.

We ended up working with a designer that she does business with and the process was nothing but smooth! I obviously spent more money with Elaine than I would have online but the quality was by far superior and completely worth it! I was so thrilled with the final design; we got compliments from most all of our guests on how elegant and gorgeous the invitation was.

I would highly recommend Elaine. She takes each client as if it was her only and invests so much of her personal time into each invitation that she does. She works long hours and is always available by email or telephone. She is truly in a class of her own. I am thrilled that I opted to give her a chance. I know that there is no way that I could have been happier with any other vendor as I was with her. I was able to have a three layered, multicolor, ribbon included invite with thermography for a very very reasonable price. With another invitation vendor, I had to keep making concessions regarding the things I wanted, but with Elaine, concessions don’t exist….you get exactly what you want for a more than reasonable price.

I can’t wait to find another opportunity to use her services again! Call her, you will not be disappointed!!

Elaine is wonderful! She has been doing this longer than I've been alive and her charm and personality just made the process simple and stress-free. We had actually tried to do the invitations on our own and there is a lot more involved with ordering and packaging the different items within the invitations that it was overwhelming. Thankfully a friend referred us and we were delighted to meet Elaine and have her help making sure we got exactly what we wanted. I highly recommend meeting Elaine and letting her show you why she's been so successful for so long!

Elaine, the owner and the heart behind Paper Potpourri in Haverhill was just an absolutely amazing person to work with. We sat down, and she walked me through every step when it came to picking out my wedding invitations, response cards and thank you cards. She is able to work with anyone's budget, so if you think that you cannot afford printed invitations, Elaine is there to help. When I went back to pick up my invitations, I was welcomed with a huge hug, and a thank you for coming by. It was so personal, she really and truly takes each bride (not to mention she has a lot of other things to offer including shower invites, baby stuff galore, and any other paper products you could imagine) and individually walks them through the process so that they end up with exactly what they want at the budget they can afford. Truly a wonderful experience.

The Owner Elaine is amazing. Invitations are her business. She is different than most since this is the one thing that she has done for over 30 years. Unlike people who just do invitations on the side on top of a full-time job. Elaine has every and any type of invitation you are looking for and she knows exactly where to find it in her vast assortment of samples. Elaine was very helpful and was available at all times by either phone or email. She really cares about her customers and even worked with us until 11pm on our first visit to her shop. She even helped us save some money by suggesting a separate thank you card vendor that was having a sale at the time we were picking out our invitations. Elaine can be found at many of the Bridal shows. We saw her at all three of the ones we went to in the Boston area. I would highly recommend Paper Potpourri to anyone in the market for invitiations/placecards and thank yous. When you work with Elaine you can be confident that everything will be perfect and on time.

Elaine is wonderful to work with! She responds extremely quickly to email and was very flexible about meeting times. She came up with creative solutions to fit our budget. The invitations came out beautiful! It took a couple of rounds of proofs to get it right --- could have been a little better in that area. We made some changes and she missed a couple of items, but overall excellent. Would definitely go to her again! A pleasure to work with!

We originally were planning to DIY our invitations as we were on a tight budget, but switching to Elaine was one of the best decisions we made. True to her word Elaine was open, honest, respectful, and helped us stick to our budget. She carefully walked us through the entire process and the end result was beautiful and professional looking. OK, you've got to bear with me because the bottom line is I LOVED this place and it made our whole wedding start off with the perfect look, the perfect mood, etc. Elaine, the shopkeeper/owner is wonderful to work with, not pushy, very helpful and sensitive to YOUR wants and needs.

*****Not only would I recommend this place to EVERYONE, but I'd also recommend that you not put any money down elsewhere until you've at least gone to Paper Potpourri to make sure. *****

So here's the long version. You have to read it all though.

We'd looked a lot of places for invitations and were getting overwhelmed and frustrated. At Hallmark, there are too many books and the associates don't know enough to be any help at all. Online, there is almost no flexibility whatsoever, and you really never know how they'll turn out. So I decided to find a true stationer, and here is where we ended up. We made an appointment and headed over.

Here is the reason I gave "Professionalism" only four-and-a-half stars: When we walked into the place, I was turned off. There are papers stacked EVERYWHERE. There is a chair and a little loveseat that would have been inviting if they hadn't had papers and brochures stacked on them and in front of them. If I had been there alone, I might have just left right then, but my fiance wanted to wait and at least see what there was to see. I'm sosoSO glad he did.

Elaine, the owner, was with a customer when we arrived, so she asked us if we minded waiting a few minutes. After a couple minutes, my fiance cleared off enough room on the loveseat and we sat and relaxed a little.

When she was ready for us, she sat us down in the room that is specifically for wedding invitations, and asked us some questions about our budget, what we'd like, what our wedding was going to be like, etc. Then - and this is the beginning of what sold us on the place - she pulled down three books. Yep, just three. Out of all those dozens she had, she pulled out three.

We flipped through and found about five different invitations that we liked, and narrowed it down to two we loved. We wanted a snowflake debossed at the top the invitations, so we looked at the graphics available for each designer's stationary. When we'd found them all, she went and made photocopies so we could lay them side-by-side and decide which we liked best. She worked magic to get us exactly what we wanted.

We decided on the invitation, and moved on to wording. I had studied Crane's Blue Book ahead of time and had typed up the wording I wanted and brought it along to the appointment (I really recommend you do this - it saves you a lot of stress when you're sitting at the stationer and suddenly on the spot for wording). Elaine seemed impressed by this, and made a few suggestions, many of which I accepted. That was nice - she knows her stuff. Also, when I insisted on a couple old-fashioned things that most people don't do anymore, she told me what the modern standard is, but when I stood my ground, she wasn't pushy or demeaning.

She also offered us some suggestions as to how to keep our costs a little lower, which was spectacular, and consoled me a little when I realized we couldn't afford engraved invitations.

We ordered our invitations, and by the time we left, I was so happy with Elaine's service, I didn't even notice the stacks of papers on the way out.

Our invitations were ready in record time. Something like a week and a half, if I remember correctly. We came in to pick them up and she had stuffed a couple envelopes so we could see exactly how to do it. I got invitations, RSVP cards and envelopes and reception cards, and inner and outer envelopes, so it was no simple task. She also gave us some instructions on how to assemble them with the least possible greif, etc. Some of her suggestions I would have never thought of, and they made life so much easier.

She offers a computer printed calligraphy service for your addresses if you want it, but we'd already found an affordable calligrapher to hand address them, so once we'd checked them to make sure they were correct and learned all there was to learn, we were on our way.

Our invitations were incredible. They're breathtakingly beautiful, elegant, regal, and we got SO many compliments on them. They were just so perfect and totally set the mood for our wedding. If we'd bought them online or at a Hallmark, we wouldn't have ever gotten anything so perfect, and I would have regretted it for sure.

Elaine asks you what you want, and gently leads you through the process. The outcome is nothing short of perfect.

And if you're reading this, Elaine, we just got back from our honeymoon, and as soon as I can unearth the remaining invitations, we'll be sending you the one we promised.

Elaine worked with us to make the best invitations possible. She also ensured that we followed the proper etiquette when addressing invitations and when choosing the wording of the invitations.

She worked with me to have a graphic designer create a detailed design from the antique ring box that my husband used to propose. The design was used on our invitations, response cards, reception cards, and thank you notes. We have truly beautiful papers and received many, many wonderful comments from guests once they arrived.

I definitely recommend Paper Potpourri!
