Excellent Duo

The perfect addition for Mingo Point.

The string duet was absolutely beautiful and added such a special touch to our ceremony. They let us choose a meaningful song that was personal to us, and their performance was flawless. The blend of harp and violin was stunning and complemented the natural beauty of Kiawah and Mingo Point perfectly—it felt magical.

The guitar and violin duo were unforgettable!

We hired a very talented violin and guitar duo for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour, and they were amazing! Their music set the perfect tone for both moments—elegant and soothing during the ceremony, and upbeat yet relaxed during the cocktail hour. The duo’s performance was flawless, and they really knew how to create the right ambiance. We couldn’t have asked for a better musical addition to our special day! Highly recommend them!

Amazing string quartet!

I am so happy we used Palmetto Strings for my daughter's ceremony hour and cocktail hour. My daughter wanted very specific songs for her ceremony and Lauren was so helpful in making sure the musicians learned the necessary songs. They learned Cruella de Ville for the couple's Dalmatian to walk to and it was a hit! They have so many great songs on their playlist making for a beautiful soundtrack for a cocktail hour. They really do a fantastic job!

The musicians were excellent. They created a wonderful musical mood for our intimate chapel wedding with classical music. During the wedding reception, they played flawlessly with the songs we had selected from their extensive list of popular and well known options. They aimed to please and please they did...all of our guest were very impressed and enjoyed the music!

Best Ceremony and Cocktail Hour Music!

A big thing that my husband really wanted was incorporating string music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Palmetto Strings were the best! They were friendly and professional. They helped coordinate timing and had plenty of songs/recommendations for us to choose from. We particularly enjoyed some of the pop songs they covered, which we felt brought a “Bridgerton” flair to our event. Our day wouldn’t have been the same without them!

Ceremony and Cocktail Hour Music

We used Palmetto Strings for our Ceremony and Cocktail Hour Music and it was a great decision! Bob worked with us for our ceremony song choices and was very accommodating! The live music duo of the guitar and violin was a perfect added touch for our wedding! I would highly recommend Palmetto Strings for your big day! Thank you Bob!

Ceremony Music

We had a string trio for before and during our ceremony and it was one of my favorite parts of the day! They did such an amazing job and helped make our day feel even more special. We had listened to samples online prior to our event; however, it was even better in person. They were so talented and we are so thankful they were able to help us celebrate on our wedding day!

A must have for a memorable ceremony and cocktail hour!

I can't recommend Palmetto Strings enough. They were able to do every song I wanted and really transformed my ceremony and cocktail hour into an emotional and memorable atmosphere. The musicians are so talented, and incredibly kind and sweet people. As a wedding planner myself, I always recommend them and HAD to have them for my own big day!

Beautiful Music!

We chose a string trio for our ceremony and our cocktail hour. They played beautifully and I loved their contemporary selection that they played during our cocktail hour. Last minute, I decided to arrange two songs for the ceremony that are not on their list and Lauren worked with me to make sure I got what I wanted! I highly recommend them to add a touch of beautiful, elegant music to your wedding day.

Beautiful!!

One of my favorite parts of my wedding day was the strings! They did a beautiful job and worked well with my coordinator. We had so many compliments on how lovely the strings were!! Definitely recommend

Highlight of the ceremony

My sister set up the surprise “Love Actually” ending at the end of my wedding ceremony with Palmetto Strings, working with them and my planner without my husband and I having a clue! They pulled off an amazing surprise with 5 choir singers, 4 musicians, and my sister popping up with the trombone. It was incredible. I was crying happy tears of shock and pure happiness and was overwhelmed by it all. They were amazing!! It was certainly one of the biggest highlights of the night!

Highly Recommended

We hired a cello/violin duo for our daughter's wedding, and could not have been more pleased.

Lauren was extremely responsive to inquiries and questions. I requested a song not in their repertoire and was quoted a very reasonable price.

Our coordinator goofed and started sending the wedding party down during the groom's song. The duo adjusted quickly and handled it like the pros they were.

I highly recommend Palmetto Strings for their talent, price and professionalism. You won't be disappointed.

Must Have!

We just held a micro wedding/reception and it would not have felt as magical without having Lauren and her team present. Communication during the initial wedding planning/COVID rescheduling/COVID rescheduling part 2, was always prompt, professional and above and beyond accommodating. During our celebration, Lauren and team wore masks and were distant from the handful of guests we had and their beautiful sounds carried through cocktail hour and dinner. It was an absolute pleasure to work with them. Thank you Palmetto Strings, for making our day!

Incredibly talented and excellent communication!

Palmetto Strings has a beautiful catalog of music to choose from, and a wonderful selection of performers. Working with Lauren to coordinate our ceremony/cocktail hour music was seamless! She is incredibly personable and quickly replied to all of my emails. Additionally, Palmetto Strings easily helped us add a special touch to our ceremony by playing a song not typically in their catalog. Amazingly Beautiful Sound

Palmetto Strings played at our wedding at The Gadsden House for our ceremony and cocktail hour. The trio sounded absolutely beautiful! During our cocktail hour they played a pop/rock playlist and all of our guests commented on how fun and beautiful they sounded. The ceremony music was also amazing! Beautiful ceremony music!

Palmetto Strings was the perfect touch to our wedding ceremony! I was looking for a strings duet to play at our ceremony and they were one of the easiest vendors to work with during our wedding planning. They provided a sample list of songs which made it extremely easy to select the songs I wanted. I was even able to make a last minute song addition a week before the wedding and they didn’t hesitate to add it to the list. Thank you for the amazing performance!

Palmetto Stings played for my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour at Lowndes Grove and they were phenomenal! Being in the wedding industry, you can imagine that I have seen and worked with so many vendors so picking the right vendors for us was our hardest decision throughout the wedding planning process. Beautiful music!

I was late in coordinating music for my wedding and Lauren could not have been easier to work with! She immediately sent over some options and a quote and we went with a cellist and violinist. I appreciated that she sent along a large list of music options and suggestions to make the process even easier. The music was beautiful!

Amazing Performers!

We recently worked with Palmetto Strings for our October 2019 wedding in DeBordieu. From start to finish, they were professional and super easy to work with. Lauren was so responsive throughout the entire planning process and made everything as easy as possible.

The day of the wedding we were thrown a curveball with a tropical storm blowing through, but the string trio was flexible and still provided the best music! We hired them for the ceremony and cocktail hour. They even agreed to stay an extra thirty minutes for the extended cocktail hour due to the weather.

I would 100% recommend working with Palmetto Strings for your wedding!

Absolutely Perfect!

They played throughout the whole night for our ceremony and reception, the music was beautiful and flowed perfectly throughout the night! We did not do a band and this was the perfect choice for us. They even played the game of thrones theme song which our guests loved!! I still cant get over how beautifully they played!

Wonderful Experience

Lauren was an absolute delight to work with. She was very helpful and communicative, recommending several options from Palmetto Strings' impressive repertoire when I wasn't sure which songs to include in my wedding ceremony. I was grateful for the option to rent sound equipment--a lapel mic for the officiant, a wireless mic for the scripture readers, and speakers that provided just the right volume for the outdoor ceremony space. The music played by the string duo was absolutely beautiful, and was the perfect complement to both the ceremony and cocktail hour.

Wonderful Perfomers and Great to Work With

My Wife and I got married over memorial day weekend at the William Aiken House in Charleston, SC. Lauren and her team were fantastic to work with throughout the whole process and played absolutely beautiful music. Perfect addition to any wedding ceremony!

Palmetto Strings was so great to work with for our ceremony music. Lauren was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the entire planning process. The day of the wedding, the musicians were on time and so professional..not to mention SO talented! They played a variety of genre's of music as we requested, and really took our ceremony up a notch! There is nothing like live music to set a romantic and elegant tone. I can't even tell you how many compliments we received from our guests on how beautiful the music was. I would highly recommend Palmetto Strings to anyone looking for an amazing wedding entertainment with great value in the Charleston area!

We chose Palmetto Strings based on their previous reviews (as we did with all of our vendors) and they did not disappoint! Lauren was extremely quick with her responses. Palmetto Strings was hired originally for 2 hours (ceremony and cocktail hour). I emailed Lauren several months before the wedding to ask if we could add on one more hour for dinner. She almost immediately responded and they were able to stay for dinner!

Their song list has plenty of choices for all ages. I didn't get to enjoy the music during the ceremony (due to paying attention to my husband and the officiant) but the music was beautiful during dinner.

We have only heard pleasant things from our guests and would not hesitate to hire them again!

Wow, what a great experience! From the beginning Lauren made things so easy and had everything under control! The music was by far one of my favorite things from our wedding day! I will forever remember walking down the isle to "Here Comes the Sun" so beautifully played on the violin!

Palmetto Strings did a phenomenal job performing during both of ceremony and cocktail hour. I was incredibly impressed with their list of song selections - they have a perfect mixture of classical and contemporary music that fit our venue and wedding theme perfectly. Palmetto Strings even worked with our band to surprise me at the end of our ceremony by playing 'All You Need Is Love' including a horn section similar to 'Love Actually!' Overall, Palmetto Strings did a beautiful job during our wedding and set the tone for an absolutely perfect evening!

Palmetto Strings was absolutely fabulous for our wedding last weekend. We used them for our ceremony and cocktail hour and they were absolutely amazing. They were so easy to work with, gave me great advice on what songs to choose and were so professional. They really gave such a beautiful, romantic vibe to our wedding at Magnolia. I can’t recommend them enough!

We had a duo for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour in November. Palmetto Strings did such an amazing job and we had so many comments from guests how amazingly beautiful they played. My husband who had a front row view for the whole wedding said it was just perfect when the strings started up as the wedding procession began. Lauren was so responsive and easy to work with. We met with her over coffee and there was a song I had in mind for when I walked down the aisle. She was so great at looking at the score I brought and I remember hearing it as I prepared to walk down the aisle. Everything was just perfect and so memorable. We would highly recommend!

The Palmetto Strings trio did a fantastic job playing for our wedding in October! Lauren was easy to work with and was really good about responding to my questions. We requested a specific song be played during the ceremony that was not on their current song list and the group went above and beyond to learn the song to make my wedding day even more special. Everyone one in the group dressed professional for the day and did a great job. We had many compliments on the ceremony and cocktail music that was provided by this group. We would definitely recommend Palmetto Strings to anyone looking for strings for their wedding or event.

They were amazing! Really easy to work with. We were able to choose a few songs from the list they provided. They showed up at our venue early to set up. They sound amazing. I recommend choosing the duo over the single violinist.

If you want your wedding to have an elegant, classic, FUN, feel to it, than look no further than having Palmetto Strings for your event. We had the guitar an violin duo for the ceremony and added a small drum set for the cocktail hour. They are flawless-and I'm a violinist myself, so I have very high expectations! They were incredibly helpful along the journey-and even let us add songs that were not on their initial list. They set the tone of the wedding perfectly, and made for a truly perfect wedding. I cannot recommend this highly enough!

Palmetto Strings is definitely a great choice for ceremony music. We chose a trio and they offered a wonderful selection of classical and/or modern music. They were prompt, professional and played beautifully. We highly recommend them for weddings.

Palmetto Strings performed the ceremony music at our wedding. They did an amazing job and are so talented! They are able to play a wide variety of music and even accompanied one of my bridesmaids that sang a song during the ceremony. I would definitely recommend Palmetto Strings!

Palmetto Strings helped to make our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour perfect. Lauren was so easy to communicate with, and the website was very helpful in picking songs. The group was professional and prompt, and was set up and playing as guests began to arrive; we received so many compliments on the ceremony songs, as they were so easy to recognize and were played flawlessly! The cocktail hour music was great too; just loud enough to be heard over the conversation of 140 people and still able to hear that there was music being played. We really enjoyed their performance, and would highly recommend Palmetto Strings!

Lauren made our music selection process so easy, we met for coffee and exchanged a few emails and we were all set; she was even able to arrange a piece for us that was not on their repertoire. We used Palmetto Strings for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour in Charleston and would highly recommend them. Unexpected rain forced the ceremony indoors at the last minute and we moved around the musicians a few times to find the ideal spot but they did a great job and sounded fantastic. Lauren made the whole process leading up to the wedding super easy and was very responsive. Would also highlight their broad playlist of modern and classic music which included a version of T Swift we used as one of our entrance songs

I contacted Palmetto Strings very last minute when my original plans for ceremony music fell through. Lauren was very helpful in trying to determine if there were any players available for my wedding date. In the end, she ended up playing herself! Laura was an absolute joy to work with! She made the whole process very easy. The music was wonderful and our guests' many comments showed us that they thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a cello and violin duo (Tim and Jenny-both excellent musicians) play for our son's and new daughter-in-law's wedding ceremony and cocktail hour held outside in downtown Charleston. Although the weather was quite cool, they played beautiful and were the perfect addition to a courtyard wedding. Lauren Williams is so easy and pleasant to work with from beginning to end. While giving some input, I trusted her selections and suggestions completely and could not have been more pleased. Palmetto Strings has top-notch musicians who give a seamless performance.

I couldn’t recommend Palmetto Strings enough. Lauren was extremely responsive and accommodating throughout the planning process for our wedding. It was very important to me to have my cousin (an opera tenor) sing during our wedding ceremony. I was a bit nervous about how this would work since they would not have much of an opportunity to rehearse prior to the wedding, and the song I requested he sing when I walk down the aisle was not one Palmetto Strings had in their usual repertoire. Lauren put together a special arrangement for this song, went over the details of the arrangement with my cousin prior to the wedding, and arrived at the venue early on our big day to ensure they had time to run through the music together. I was fully expecting to have to mediate between my cousin and Lauren regarding all of the details, and it came as such a pleasant surprise to learn that Lauren had been proactive in reaching out to my cousin and making sure they were on the same page. She completely understood my vision for the music, and has great attention to detail (we had to modify the song to cut out certain verses in the middle to make sure the timing was consistent with the time it took to walk down the aisle).

I would highly recommend booking Palmetto Strings for your ceremony musicians; they offer a wide array of music from classical to contemporary and are extremely professional.

We booked Palmetto Strings for our ceremony and cocktail hour for our wedding at the I'on Creek Club on May 3, 2014. We were very happy with Palmetto Strings and would recommend them to anyone! Lauren was very helpful in determining songs for the ceremony, and was responsive in her emails. We did not get to hear much of the cocktail hour music (taking pictures, etc) but our guests said they were great. Lauren was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the whole process from taking on our ceremony with just a few weeks' notice after my previous plan fell through to making sure that we had a great set put together for the entire ceremony. They were promptly on time, and the music during the ceremony couldn't have been more beautiful. Palmetto Strings (and Lauren) were a DREAM to work with. She was GREAT with email and kept in close contact with us. We had our wedding at Harborside East just a few weeks ago. Their playlist has something to offer to every bride. They also played during our 'cocktail hour' it added to the perfect ambiance for a relaxing moment before we kicked off the party. We chose some contemporary/non-traditional songs for the processional & recessional and our guests REALLY enjoyed that.

We hired a violinist from Palmetto Strings for our daughter's wedding. Lauren was very helpful with the music arrangement offering suggestions and helping with the details. The musician played on our dock overlooking the river; the beautiful music added a magical quality to our special day. We were so pleased that we hired another musician to play at another event at the Hibernian in downtown Charleston. We will definitely use them again!

We used a string duo from Palmetto Strings for our outdoor wedding at Folly Beach. It was a garden ceremony and they did a beautiful job. My husband and I live out of state, but it was very easy to work out all of the details over the phone and email. Engaged Lauren at the very last minute having no specific playlist. Only instructions I could offer was " play something nice". We used Palmetto Strings for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and we couldn't have been happier! Their selection of music was great, and it sounded wonderful! I received many comments from our guests on how much they enjoyed listening to them play. I also wanted to walk down the aisle to a specific song not on their list. They had no problem learning it, and it sounded great - just how I imagined it would have. It was so great to work with Lauren and the Palmetto Strings. I would definitely recommend them to future brides!!

We used Palmetto Strings for our ceremony and also for our cocktail hour- and we could not have been more pleased! Working with Lauren was so nice and easy- she helped us out so much when we were picking out the songs. Their song selections are great- they have everything from classical music to popular music. They sounded so beautiful at our wedding- we could not have asked for anything more perfect! We will highly recommend them to anyone getting married in the Charleston area.

As the bride, I didn't get to hear much of the ceremony music. However, EVERYONE commented on how beautiful it was! I highly recommend choosing Palmetto Strings!

Lauren at Palmetto Strings was wonderful! I loved that they offered more contemporary pieces, as opposed to the traditional classical music. I enjoyed getting the feel of classical music, while hearing our favorite beatles songs, and walking down the aisle to Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight". They were perfect and right on point!!! Couldnt have asked for more!!!

Palmetto Strings played a selection of contemporary and classical music during both our ceremony and reception. Lauren was a pleasure to work with, providing musical samples and recommendations for our first dance. The trio even learned two special request songs in only a few weeks. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the live music!

We used the string duo for our beach wedding. It was a completely enjoyable experience. They composed a piece for us and it sounded perfect. The best part, the performers were totally self-sufficient, they knew exactly what to do with little direction, providing a completely stress-free experience which was greatly appreciated.

Lauren was simply AWESOME.. the single violin was the perfect musical element for the beautiful setting at White Point Gardens. She worked with us remotely to set up the event and I really appreciated her flexibility as schedules shifted and plans adjusted.
