Highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for a great place for a ceremony and/or reception. We had a strict budget and a goal of keeping our wedding costs to $10,000-$12,000, and were able to have an outdoor ceremony with 50 guests and an absolutely delicious meal with wedding cake, and still have funds left over for other things like a photographer, flowers, dress and rings, etc. We were in the Orchid Room, with magnificent views of downtown and Elliott Bay. A huge advantage to Palisade is that their event planner, Robin Schauer, is expert at attending to the numerous details involved, she really helped us plan many aspects of the ceremony itself and had great ideas for how to keep the event moving and flowing. We were extremely pleased with the venue, with Robin Schauer, with the delicious food and cake, and of course the beautiful setting.Highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for a great place for a ceremony and/or reception. The whole staff at Palisades pulled off such a wonderful day for me, my husband and our families. Robin was our coordinator and took such good care of us and all of our crazy questions and requests. While it was the higher end of our budget they covered all the food, service, linens, settings, etc. It made my life so much easier!The whole staff at Palisades pulled off such a wonderful day for me, my husband and our families. WOW! We had our rehearsal dinner at Palisade, and it was amazing!! We had booked the Magnolia room, but due to some funky circumstances we were upgraded to the Alani room, which was incredible! Hang Nguyen was our go-to contact, and she was incredibly professional and prompt. She sent us everything we needed to select our menu and dinner details, from menus to wine pairings. The dinner was everything we hoped for and more!WOW! We had our rehearsal dinner at Palisade, and it was amazing!! Choosing Palisade was a great decision for us because we wanted an easy simple wedding, we knew the food and location were good, and we were willing to pay the cost. Not only did they provide delicious food (our guests repeatedly complimented our choices) and set up everything, but they also coordinated the cake delivery, rented a tent for the courtyard and a podium (last minute decision), and printed out table numbers and seat indicators.
To give a general overview of our planning process, after we reserved our date, our next meeting with Palisade was our tasting (~5 months before the wedding, we got the Elliot bay dinner package). During this meeting, we got a whole plate of every dish and also discussed the day-of schedule, which was helpful for determining what things we needed to make decisions on. About 1-2 months before the wedding, we then emailed back and forth and finalized the changes a few weeks before the wedding. Meanwhile, we also had our cake tasting at BAKED and once we finalized our cake order, Palisade took care of the rest. About a month before, we also took our DJ to the venue, which was helpful for planning the setup.
We had our ceremony outside and used the Alani room for the reception. The day of we had a wonderful time and importantly, asked before taking away our food, so we got to eat as much as we wanted! To give an idea on cost, our package was ~$100 per person, and we paid ~$45 per person for drinks, but the venue itself was only $500, so keep that in mind when comparing costs. However, in general don't forget about tax, and there was a 20% service charge. Our group was a mix of mostly lighter drinkers with some heavier ones.

What a fantastic venue! We used the Magnolia room for our evening wedding event. The staff was top notch and my guests could not stop talking about how attentive they were. Food was the best and the part we loved...no buffet! They accommodated my wish to have the regular restaurant menu with no prices for my guest to order what they wanted! Food was delicious, served at the same time for 16 guests. The desert menu was a hit complete with flights of Port or Grand Mariner and extensive dessert drink offerings. Yes I will hold another event here with friends in the future. This time the tab might be shared. LOL

Gorgeous venue, excellent food, presentation and service. Very responsive at first until deposit was received then it was a bit difficult to get finalized with menu, drinks etc. instead of all emails back and forth, meeting for an hour to finalize would have gone a long way.
