The best on the central coast!

Pacific Harvest catered our wedding reception in October 2024 at Biddle Ranch Winery, and it couldn’t have gone any better! We got compliments on the food across our entire guest list, and Seth & Dawn were very wonderful in accommodating our requests.

The tasting we did with Seth at their Templeton location gave us a good sense of what to expect and really drove home that we were working with a local team, and not a big corporate operation. Seth is a great chef and had good suggestions that fit in nicely with our vision of the evening, and the Mediterranean-style meal we were looking for.

On the day of the wedding, the Pacific Harvest team was well prepared and did a great job executing. The appetizer boards and passed apps during our cocktail hour were delicious and very attractive, and as we moved into the evening the Pacific Harvest team also assigned one of their servers to make sure we got taken care of while the rest of the guests got their food. They made sure all of our other vendors got a nice hot meal too, and our photographer said she’s never been so well taken care of! As I mentioned earlier, we got fantastic feedback on the food, and we had a nice selection of options for vegetarians and vegans as well. We really wanted to have warm cookies as a dessert option, and the Pacific Harvest team was nice enough to bake and serve the cookie dough we ordered from a local bakery so that our warm cookies dreams came true! We cannot recommend Pacific Harvest enough. If you’re having a Central Coast wedding, book them now!

Best wedding food wedding guests ever had!

I cannot recommend Pacific Harvest enough for wedding catering, their food is incredible and I have had SO many guests tell me it was the best wedding food they ever had. Doing the complimentary menu tasting with them really helped us choose our selections, but everything tasted great. We would highly recommend them for any catering event - and don't miss the tri tip or the mac n cheese!

Outstanding Food and Service

We had an excellent experience with Pacific Harvest Catering. Our menu was completely customized for what we liked, and even despite the challenges of the pandemic, we were able to do a tasting to fine-tune our menu. All of the ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the food was very well prepared. We received nothing but compliments from our guests on how amazing everything tasted. They were even able to provide some platters for the wedding party during the day that were delightful while we got ready! Dawn and her team were so friendly and wonderful to work with, we highly recommend!

The BEST catering!!

We were initially skeptical because of the affordable cost, but were blown away by their food! They use local ingredients, adjust the recipes to use what’s in season, make everything fresh, we’re delightful to work with, and accommodated to every request! We had a number of foodies attend our wedding, and had numerous comment on how this was the best meal they’ve ever had at a wedding. My husband and I only wish that we could eat their food on a regular basis. It was truly a treat.

Delicious food, excellent service!

Incredible in every way!

Pacific Harvest Catering catered our wedding and rehearsal dinner and they were amazing! We got so many compliments on how delicious the food was. The service was incredible and the staff fantastic. Most people say that they hardly remember what they ate on their wedding day or that they didn’t get to eat. However, that is not the case for my husband and I. We will always remember the extremely professional service and culinary talent provided by PHC. Along with how wonderful everything tasted. They even made our plates for us the day of the wedding to make sure we ate. Thank you Dawn, Chad and team for making our wedding weekend so special.

Delicious and beautiful wedding cuisine for the central coast

Our wedding was last weekend at Halter Ranch. PHC was one of the first vendors we booked, and one of the best decisions we made planning our wedding. They were highly recommended by our venue and the food was insanely good. Dawn totally nailed our vision of family style Italian-meets-California-farm-to-table-wine-country. The menu was inspired. Our guests were raving about how delicious everything was. The favorites were the apricot-tarragon glazed chicken and the whipped mashed potatoes. The appetizers were incredible too (my favorite were the sausage-stuffed mushrooms) and everything looked so beautiful, we barely needed to decorate our tables. I couldn't believe how delicious everything was (even the bread & butter!). My only regret at my wedding was not eating more :) The quality of the food and the service was incredible. Pricing was super reasonable too, especially when you taste the food and realize how good it is. There were no hidden costs or surprises...they even include cake cutting/champagne toast and coffee, which other vendors will sometimes charge extra for. We are so incredibly thankful for all the work PCH did to make our wedding so beautiful and family-oriented.

Delicious and Authentic!

Every aspect of our catering and food experience with Pacific Harvest was well thought out and beautiful. Dawn was so flexible with our tasting date and helped us execute the meal we were dreaming of. She allowed us to make some tweaks to the menu to fit our tastes and the feel for our guests.
The charcuterie board was immaculate and each appetizer a perfect size and beautifully presented.
We decided to go with family style serving and it went beyond smooth. All the servers worked quickly and carefully and all the food was absolutely delicious. All of it had a central coast authenticity and feel and that is exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Everyone was raving about how delicious the food was and loved that they were able to stay at their tables and enjoy conversations with each other without the interruption of getting up for a buffet. It's been a month since our wedding and our guests are still talking about how delicious and well executed our food was at our wedding!!!

STILL Talking about the Incredible Food a Week Later

I have been to many weddings, large corporate events, and professional managed parties... and I have never had food at any of them that came close to how good the food was at our wedding, provided by Pacific Harvest. I knew something was special when we sat down to do a tasting last Fall, and the setting was perfectly clean, the environment friendly, and the staff waiting on us as if it was a restaurant. The food we tasted, and selected, that day was delicious and left me feeling as though we had made the right choice for our catering vendor. Little did I know that when it came time to deliver that same level of taste and quality to 65 guests, Pacific Harvest would not only deliver on, but also exceed every expectation. Guests are still commenting on the incredible food, a week after our wedding, and I know that for many years, people will recall the great food we were fortunate enough to have for our special day. I can not recommend them enough.

My husband and I could not have been luckier to have found Pacific Harvest Catering. Dawn and Pacific Harvest catered both our rehearsal dinner (highly recommend the paella) and our wedding reception. Both meals were absolutely amazing from presentation to taste! The buffets were BEAUTIFUL. Food is very important to us and we wanted to make sure the first meal we shared as husband and wife was something to remember and it was. It was also helpful that they had catered at our venue (The Grace Maralyn) numerous times before and knew it far better than we did. All of our other vendors (DJ, photographer, venue) highly recommended them Pacific Harvest and I can see why! They delivered exceptional service and a beautiful, delicious menu. We cannot recommend them enough and hope to get to experience their food and service again some day!

Aboslutely amazing!

My husband and I live out of town and went off reviews for hiring Pacific Harvest. It was the best decision we made. Dawn and the whole staff were so easy to work with. Oh, my goodness where do I even begin! Pacific Harvest catered our vineyard wedding in Paso, and the food was so delicious. We worked with Dawn and Jake to design a multi-course Italian feast, and everything was just excellent. For my husband and I food was very important, and thankfully Dawn and Jake were up for the challenge. They worked with us to create an out of the box custom family style menu and paired foods we love with what was in season and recommended by the chef. We are so pleased and can’t recommend Pacific Harvest enough!

You cannot get better food at a wedding than Pacific Harvest! They created a menu that was creative, seasonal, and was filling but in a good healthy "lets go dance now" way! Everyone loved their seasonal cheese spread and the chimichurri was TO DIE FOR! As the bride and groom, we were worried we would miss out on the good food, but Pacific Harvest's team did a great job bringing us a plate of apps during cocktail hour and boxing up some to-go boxes of dinner for us to eat at our hotel which was AMAZING. Dawn also worked with us to accommodate some food allergies which was truly amazing!

Dawn and Pacific Harvest Catering were absolutely amazing. The menu was delicious and they were very accommodating to all of our requests. The presentation of the buffet was beautiful. Our guests are still raving about the food. In addition, we heard from many of our guests how friendly, helpful, and professional the staff were. Our venue was very challenging to set up and take down and they did this flawlessly. Even our wedding coordinator (who had never worked with Pacific Harvest before) said that they were probably the best catering company that she had ever worked with. We came back to the venue the morning after our wedding thinking that we would have to pack up the chargers that we brought and they had actually packed them all back up into their individual packaging. It must have taken them at least an hour after the wedding to do so. In addition, the price was incredibly competitive. Pacific Harvest delivered exceptional service and a beautiful and delicious menu. I cannot recommend them enough!

Can I just say, right from the start, that food was one of the most important things at our wedding. We wanted to stand out, and not just have a meat, vegetable, and potatoes. Pacific Harvest knocked it out of the park. Our guests are still talking about this food. Everything tasted amazing, had an artisan feel to it, like something you could only get at a special occasion like this. Me and my wife were going back for seconds and thirds. Dawn was great, very easy to work with, went above and beyond to make us happy. She visited the venue several times, made sure the menu was what we wanted, took care of the setup details, catered to vegetarians and kids. We even got to do a tasting before the wedding to make sure everything was exactly as we wanted it. I can't recommend Pacific Harvest enough, they were absolutely the prefect match for the vibe that we wanted for our big day, which was elegant and enchanted. If any of our friends are getting married in the future, there's no question who we'll be recommending for catering.

Hiring Pacific Harvest Catering was one of the best decisions we made during the entire wedding planning process.

We live in Indianapolis and had a destination wedding at HammerSky Vineyards, and Dawn was able to accommodate us at the very last minute for a tasting while we were out in California touring the venue. Our wedding planner had only set us up to meet two caterers so my mom scrambled to find us another - which ended up being Pacific Harvest. We were so impressed with Dawn's professionalism, responsiveness, kindness, and flexibility that we ended up picking Pacific Harvest to be our caterer.

Dawn worked tirelessly with her team to create the menu of our dreams. I really wanted to serve my 'signature' summer salad (fresh burrata with peaches, heirloom tomatoes, basil, and olive oil) - and Dawn took my idea and completely ran with it. No request was too much - and Dawn tirelessly worked to source each and every cheese we wanted for our cheese table, even adding in special little details like honeycomb upon my request. Additionally, their prices are VERY reasonable for the amazing quality of cuisine and service they provide.

On the wedding day our experience with Pacific Harvest was flawless. The service was amazing and the food even more incredible than we had hoped. Our friends still talk about our wedding food months after, and it was pretty much unanimous from all guests that our wedding food was by far the best they had ever eaten.

Overall I could not recommend Pacific Harvest enough. My husband and I both agree that they were one of our favorite wedding vendors, and I am confident that they will make your wedding meal as memorable as they made ours.

We were married at Still Waters Vineyards and the owner mentioned that one of his kids had PHC cater their wedding which solidified our choice at hiring them for ours. I heard the mac and cheese was delicious (and it was!). Our tasting with them had some technical difficulties but regardless, the food was amazing. Their food definitely speaks for itself and my guests loved every bite! One of my friends even said that it was the best wedding food she's ever had. They are cost effective, will work with your budget, and their staff (the day of the wedding) did a great job of making sure my husband and I were fed--they even came up multiple times to the bridal suite to make sure we had appetizers. The presentation of their food was beautiful- the only hitch was that we ran out of steak (we had a buffet of steak and chicken, mac and cheese, potatoes, bread, and salad) before some tables got to serve themselves. I would suggest bringing it up to Dawn (our contact at PHC) if you're concerned about this happening to you (she is very helpful and accommodating and had great recommendations for us food-wise). Maybe my guests were just steak-lovers and grabbed a huge helping; who knows? Otherwise, they did a great job--you don't have to worry about the quality of your food with them.

I am a destination wedding coordinator and had the privilege of working with Pacific Harvest for an event on May 14 2016. The day of catering manager was absolutely fabulous, he was on top of everything and made my running the wedding so much smoother. It is so nice and so rare to have the pleasure of working with a catering team that actually knows what they are doing and are on top of every detail. The food was outstanding and the presentation superb. I can't believe it was that perfect for such an affordable price for my bride - truly OUTSTANDING!

Incredible food and service! We used Pacific Harvest for our wedding at Greengate Ranch on April 30th, in addition to our rehearsal dinner and a bridal brunch.

All of the guests were blown away by the food! We opted for family style, which really flowed well and felt like you were having dinner at a friend's house as opposed to a mass wedding feeding. The food quality exceeded expectations and the service was top notch.

Though all interactions with the Pacific Harvest team were seamless, the moment we knew they were on another level was during photos. After the ceremony, we couldn't go to the cocktail hour since we had to take pictures at a different part of the property. We all were hungry and were definitely in need of a drink. They had a few servers come over in a truck with trays of appetizers and wine/beer. This is the kind of extra step that really makes you appreciate quality service, especially during your hectic wedding day.

Overall, I would highly recommend Dawn and her team for your wedding. If I ever have catering needs in this area again, they will be the first people we call.

Food was one of my top priorities for our wedding. It had to be good and Pacific Harvest did not disappoint! We had an amazing tasting with them at their headquarters in Atascadero and immediately fell in love. They catered our 275 person wedding at a new venue in SLO called the Loma Grande Ranch on September 19th, 2015. Everything had to be brought in, including bathrooms, ovens, a dance floor, and all of the tables, chairs and linens. Dawn also helped us coordinate the rentals to make sure everything was accounted for.

Pacific Harvest was originally supposed to cater our wedding in September of 2014, but 3 months before the wedding, we had to push the date back a year because I had been diagnosed with breast cancer and had to undergo 9 months of treatment. Dawn was so understanding and accommodating. She never questioned my intentions and she was so supportive throughout the year.

On the day of the wedding, one of the comments I heard the most (and still hear) was “the food was amazing! It’s the best food I’ve ever had at a wedding!” Trust me when I say they will make your vision truly come to life.

It was really a joy to work with Dawn. The meal was perfect; we had some passed appetizers and some stationary ones. Set up and break down very very reasonable.
The food though was the best. Stuffed mushrooms and wrapped asparagus, crostinis for appetizers, at least that was what everybody raved about. The mother of bride can get pretty swamped. Then, chicken, tri-tip and the best mac'n'cheese ever. I even liked the whipped butter. It all seemed so perfect for our country barn theme.
The rentals were completely organized through Pacific Harvest for an additional $2,450. Though I wrote the rental check to Pacific Harvest, it's not really I paid them.

Pacific Harvest was the first vendor we booked for our wedding, and we are so glad we did! We recieved tons of compliments from our guests. They were extremely flexible with what we wanted, but they are the experts so we also let them tell us what they thought was best and were so pleased with the results. Dawn is amazing to work with! The risotto cakes... mac and cheese...stuffed mushrooms... all so amazing. I might have another party in Paso Robles just so I can ask them to cater it!

Dawn at Pacific Harvest did an amazing job helping plan the wedding. She was very knowledgeable about the rentals, the amount of food and alcohol, and about how to set up the venues. She helped make sure that we weren't leaving anything out when we were making all our plans. She also played out all the pros and cons of doing a buffet versus plated meals, which I never would have been able to decide without her. The food was exactly what we wanted, a Farmer's Market/ BBQ style dinner, which was delicious! All the servers, bartenders, and staff were incredibly nice and professional.

TEN STARS!!! Pacific Harvest is beyond outstanding!!! Dawn and her crew did an amazing job for our son's wedding! Dawn's cheerful and friendly professionalism made the entire process planning the menu and its details leading up to the event an enjoyable experience. She addressed our preferences and needs with utmost thoroughness. (One guest had severe food allergies, therefore, a special plate was prepared just for her.) The food was truly the most delicious our family has ever eaten at a wedding! The drink and food stations were displayed beautifully and creatively. The timing between courses was perfect. Pacific Harvest Catering was absolutely fantastic! Dawn was so great to work with and answered all my questions and lots of emails during the process (I'm an accountant and therefore needed lots of details). We had 3 passed appetizers (one of which was sausage stuffed mushrooms which were SO good and I don't even like mushrooms) as well as a table with cheeses, breads, and some of the appetizers that were also being passed. I was a little busy during cocktail hour with pictures, but a staff from catering came to give me an entire tray of all the appetizers which was really nice and I heard from guests the table holding appetizers was promptly refilled when it got low and it was never hard for guests to get as many appetizers as they wanted (which I know is normally an issue at weddings I attend). We did food stations for dinner, so we split up the "Lighter Fare" (multiple salads and vegetables), "Hearty Fare" (tri tip, chicken, potatoes), and "Mac and Cheese" stations in three separate corners of the room which worked out very well. All of the food was fantastic! The mac and cheese station was to die for! Delicious mac and cheese with pancetta, crispy shallots, green onions, and sour cream for guests to add if they wished. Guests also told me the chicken was the best they have ever had! Not your average wedding food! I worked with Dawn during the initial planning stages and she was great. We were able to build a menu that fit my budget and the food was TOP NOTCH. The day of staffing was professional, courteous, food was fantastic (and hot), drinks were full, and bartenders stayed busy with my rowdy group. Coming from someone who spent over 15 years in the restaurant industry, I am surprised that I have not a single criticism. Thanks for an amazing night Pacific Harvest and staff!

Dawn was wonderful to work with! Her staff was very professional and anticipated what we needed during our reception. They cleaned up so well, I didn't have to pay for a dishwasher at the end of the night! The menu was lovely and delicious! Our photographer said it was the nicest wedding meal she's ever had!

Amazing doesn't even begin to describe the menu Pacific Harvest created and executed at our wedding! Every bite was amazing and beautifully presented! When we started wedding planning we wanted our guests to be wowed and amazed by the food, us being self proclaimed 'foodies' we thought that was a detail our wedding needed. Pacific Harvest is awesome! We got a ton of feedback that the food was delicious! Dawn and her team were so great to us during the entire planning process. We actually were able to eat at our wedding and I'll tell you everything was fresh and wonderful! It's hard to make anything taste good when you make it for 160 people, but everything WAS good. While we were taking photos with the wedding party during the cocktail hour, a server came out to the vineyard to bring us the apps they were serving downstairs! That attention to detail is where Pacific harvest really does it right. I would highly recommend Pacific Harvest, you won't regret it!

Loved, loved, loved the food! All of the guests were full of compliments. Dawn and her team were so willing to create a unique menu for our wedding, including elk (my daughter's request) to please the many hunters and outdoorsmen on our guest list! We could not have made a better choice for our caterer! Even the little kids had a great meal of mac'n cheese and chicken fingers!

The food was beyond fabulous! Everyone loved it! We had chicken, tri-tip, rice, salad, sweet potato fries, and appetizers. The sweet potato fries were a hit (the bride's choice), and everything else matched in quality. Food was served fresh, and the hot dishes were hot. Excellent food.

Pacific Harvest catered our rehearsal dinner and wedding in August. Dawn was a pleasure to work with from the start, providing great menu ideas, accommodating our requests, and patiently answering my MANY questions. She was also very helpful in providing guidance on our rental order. Our tasting for the wedding was really what sold us - the food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing, so we booked on the spot!

The rehearsal dinner was a very casual Mexican buffet, and we and our guests loved it! Multiple people went back for second and third helpings. Coral and the rest of the team did a great job of setting everything up and making sure there was enough food. We even got to keep some leftovers for late-night snacking!

I wasn't around to witness all the setup and prep that the staff did on the wedding day, but I know there was a ton of behind the scenes work. Our venue didn't have a full kitchen, so they set up a tent and just rolled with it like the true professionals they are.

The food was delicious - standouts included the butternut squash and poblano pepper empanada appetizers, heirloom tomato and fresh mozzarella salad, salmon grilled on cedar planks, and aged white cheddar macaroni and cheese. The buffet table looked fantastic - the props and platters they used took the presentation to the next level!

All night, people kept telling us how amazing the food was and how friendly and professional the staff were (the bartenders got a big shout-out as well!). Many people told us it was the best wedding food they'd ever had, and I have to agree! Of all the caterers we considered, it's clear that Pacific Harvest gave us the best value for our money.

Dawn and Pacific Harvest did a fantastic job with our food. We were too busy at the cocktail hour to sneak an appetizer, so I can only assume that they were as wonderful as the main courses. We opted for a buffet to keep our budget down and we were extremely pleased with the result. The presentation was fantastic and our tables did not seem to have to wait very long. The servers were sure to bring us (the bride and groom) our meals personally and they were very conscious and attentive. We had a tri-tip with chimichurri sauce and a lemon-tarragon chicken, both of which were tender and very flavorful. We saved some for later in the night and the next day and it was still amazing. All of the ingredients were fresh, local and cooked to perfection.

There was a polenta side dish and summer vegetables and for the vegetarians there was a portabello mushroom that I hear had a fantastic marinade. So meat-eaters and vegetarians alike had plenty to eat.

Nothing went awry as far as we know and we heard no grumblings at all from our guests; only compliments. We highly recommend Pacific Harvest for any catering services.

PHC catered our wedding a few weeks ago and did an outstanding job!! The staff is great. They really worked hard to make sure our day went well. You will be well taken care of if you choose to hire them! But not only is the staff amazing, so is the food!!! Holy smokes it's good! We've had numerous compliments from guests about the food (my personal favorite was the vegetarian lasagna!! Yum!!) The display was not something that I had really put a lot of thought into but the way they arranged the buffet looked really nice! We had a dessert table instead of a cake table and the way they displayed all the desserts made it look really amazing! I was impressed for sure. Great staff, GREAT food! You won't be sorry you hired them!

We contacted and met with several local caterers before selecting Pacific Harvest Catering. All were professional and friendly, but Pacific Harvest was our first choice due to its terrific menus, flexibility in adjusting items, ideas for set-up (e.g., tables, linens, colors), and value for the cost. As a mature couple in a second marriage, we wanted a nice dinner for our guests but were not overly picky about the details. In our first meeting, Dawn provided a range of ideas, based on past experience, which was very helpful to us. She kept in contact as the wedding approached and was very responsive to our questions. She also met with us at the friend's house where the wedding was to take place and had great ideas about organizing and setting up. The wedding went very smoothly. The caterers arrived on time; set up all the food and drink stations in an attractive display; and followed our schedule for appetizers and wine, ceremony, champagne toast, dinner, and cake cuttiing. After the event, they cleaned up quickly, returning the following day to pick up large items. All our guests very very impressed with the quality and quanitity of food and the excellent service. In addition, our hosts, the home owners, were happy with the care taken in their house and how efficiently the cateres organized setting up, taking down, and cleaning up after the event. I recommend Pacific Harvest Catering without reservation.

We used Pacific Harvest Catering for our daughter's wedding a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier about our decision to use them. The food was amazing (buffet). I was extremely happy about the local fresh vegetable dishes they created as well as the BBQ chicken and beef. Their lavender lemonade is to die for!!! Dawn and her staff were very professional and responsive. I was also very impressed at how clean they left the venue where we had the wedding. We had very little cleaning up to do the next morningl!!!! We are extemely happy that we used them for our catering needs and would recommend them for any event you need catered!!!!

Wow! What more can we say?!? Pacific Harvest did a truly amazing job of catering our daughters' wedding! Everyone who came said that they had never had 'wedding food' as good as what they provided. They were a joy to deal with from the very beginning, were very flexible in developing a personalized menu, and were extremely reasonably priced for the exceptional quality and service they provide. Catering at Santa Margarita Ranch is not an easy job, but they pulled off the delicious appetizers for cocktail hour and the full buffet dinner in the barn without a hitch. They were a delight to work with! 5 Stars!

Serving great food was definitely a requirement for our wedding, which is why we decided to work with Pacific Harvest. In the months before the wedding, Dawn was unfailingly helpful and responsive, both over email and in our in-person meeting. We were especially grateful for this, as our venue was very DIY and its management was a bit flaky, so we really appreciated her advice and professionalism. Even when she had her first baby in the month before our wedding (congrats!!), she was STILL communicative and on top of all the details.

But the weekend of the wedding is when I was SO GLAD we were working with Pacific Harvest. When I realized the table linens wouldn't be arriving with enough time for my friends and I to set up the reception tables the morning before the wedding, Dawn dropped them off herself a day early. And when one of the heat lamps broke during the rehearsal dinner, she got the rental company to bring out a replacement in time for the wedding reception, even though they were closed that day.

And all this is in addition to the food and service itself, which was excellent across the board. I am a food writer and private chef, so it was really important to me to serve tasty food made with seasonal and local ingredients. I have heard from many guests -- a lot of whom work in the food world as well -- that it was the best meal they have ever eaten at a wedding. Others have said it is one of the best meals they have ever eaten, period. I'm still dreaming about a couple of the dishes! We went with family-style service and everything was well-timed, with a fresh platter of food coming out just as the last platter was passed around the table. I was also really happy with the Thai grilled chicken recipe I gave them to adapt; it was perfectly executed. And everything was plated beautifully.

Because the wedding was so DIY, with many homemade touches and small details, I was a little nervous things would fall through the cracks, but Coral the catering manager and the staff on site that day were on top of everything. They weren't fazed by a last-minute move of the dessert buffet and didn't forget to give specially-made sides to our vegan guests. They were friendly and responsive and seemed genuinely invested in making our day the best it could be. I could not be more thankful for everything they did for us.

If good food and excellent service are priorities for you, Pacific Harvest is absolutely the right choice. If you are wondering, "Is it worth paying a little more for them rather than Dirt Cheap Caterer X?" I would say, YES. For my money, the extra expense for a memorably delicious, well-executed meal at your once-in-a-lifetime event is worth every penny.

It was important for us to find caterers who prepared seasonal and local food at our wedding and we found it in Pacific Harvest. They were so accommodating to our food and drink requests and the dishes they prepared were ones you would expect at a fine dining restaurant. Our guests are *still* talking about the appetizers at cocktail hour, especially the korean tacos we had asked them to make! Everything during dinner was equally delicious as well, and there were many compliments about the dessert bar. Their waitstaff was extremely attentive and professional as well.

One thing that stood out was that Paul personally brought out a beautiful wooden platter of appetizers for my husband and me after the ceremony. They wanted to make sure we got to enjoy them, since we were taking pictures during cocktail hour. How awesome is that? And trust me, all of the appetizers were beyond delicious.

Dawn was absolutely wonderful to work with, and I can't emphasize how flexible and accommodating she was when helping to plan our menu, while keeping in mind what would be freshest during the season.

I'm sure this gets said a lot, but I have to say that Pacific Harvest did an AMAZING job and we would highly recommend them for any event!

Pacific Harvest Catering is the best! If you are getting married or planning a special event in Paso Robles or the SLO area, use them! My wedding was in Paso Robles at Venteux Vineyards and my Rehearsal Dinner was at Silverhorse and PCH did the catering for both dinners. WOW, the food was out of this world. They really do the Farm to Table thing which is important to me, and they use local ingredients. The pasta at my wedding was the best pasta I've ever had in my life and the lamb chops were so great that my vegan friends went Non-vegan for the evening and chowed down!

I did my wedding food served family style rather than plated which added an extra element of earthiness and country farm vibe that I was looking for. But they can do whatever you want, and they are so easy to talk to and such nice people!

I can't recommend them enough.

Pacific Harvet is an amazing catering company! We did a destination wedding and so we never got to do a tasting or even meet Dawn until the day of the wedding, but everything was amazing! My husband and I were married at Edna Valley Vineyard in October 2010. We hired Pacific Harvest without doing a tasting because they were highly recommended, we do not live in the area, and we truly enjoyed our interactions with Dawn during the planning process. My groom and I are take our food very seriously, but we didn't want a formal sit-down dinner. At the same time, we were worried that having a buffet for our wedding would end up looking like a cheesy, hotel conference room spread. But Pacific Harvest solved our concerns with a spread that was as visually stunning as it was delicious. Dawn was so nice and so easy to work with- she took in all our concerns and personal tastes, and in the time it took other caterers to respond to my initial RFP's, she had designed a custom menu that fit exactly what my husband and I like and what we wanted to offer our guests. To this day, our guests rave about the food- I've been told numerous times the salmon and tri tip were the best people have ever had. And my husband and I agree- whoever said the bride and groom don't get to eat at the wedding didn't hire Pacific Harvest because we ate one of everything, and loved it all!

My wedding at the Pavilion on the Lake was catered by the on-site caterer Pacific Harvest Catering and everything was phenomenal! Seth and Dawn were wonderful - professional and approachable with my requests. All of our guests complimented the food, and honestly I could not recommend them higher. We had our ceremony on site, and it was very warm, so the caterer provided ice water and lemonade at the last minute while the guests waited on the ceremony to start - another thoughtful plus. Though we were occupied taking photos while the appetizers were served, I remember choosing them at the tasting and they were delicious - confirmed by the multitude of guests who complimented them. I had specific meal requests and they came through with the best food I've ever tasted at a wedding, and if they had a restaurant of their own, I would certainly frequent it!

From the first conversation with Dawn and Seth I knew that I had a winner. They put on a wonderful reception dinner and made my granddaughters wedding on Sept 20, 2009 very special. I would highly reccomend them

Seth and Dawn were amazing to work with. They responded back to my immediate request right away and provided me with several different menu options. I am a vegetarian and they were able to put together a menu that I would enjoy as well as my guests. Dawn was very accommodating to any special requests i had and they were even willing to help me create a beautiful menu that would work within my budget. And then during our wedding her and her staff were so attentive and professional, it really put me at ease to not have to worry about anything or oversea that all the little details were being put in to place. Everything was smooth and well coordinated . I am still getting raved reviews on the food! It was delicious and they are an easy team to work with. I would highly recommend their catering services!

Dawn and Seth of Pacific Harvest did a 5 star job with our wedding reception. Our reception venue had a more-than-challenging site coordinator and Dawn stepped in to help make the reception planning a smooth and streamlined process for us and greatly reduced our stress with her rockstar planning and coordinating skills!

Pacific Harvest went above and beyond our expectations not only in the superb quality of the food, drink, and wedding day service, but in helping us secure all of our rentals and set up for the big day as well. We knew from the start we were in good hands, which was a godsend as we were planning our wedding from over 200 miles away!

The food! Pacific Harvest provided just what we hoped for in our wedding dinner. They were flexible with our menu and helped us craft our ideal wedding menu.

Several weeks after the big day, we are still receiving compliments from our guests about how beautiful they thought the set up was and how fantastic the food was as well! We keep hearing "best wedding food ever!" And parents who brought small children to the reception appreciated the kids' meals that were provided and said it was the most kid-friendly wedding they'd ever been to. Dawn especially helped make the reception an exceptionally pleasant experience for families with little ones.

The only downside? We were so busy taking photos that we missed out on all the appetizers (wish we had requested a plate) and forgot to get a take-home container for post-wedding late-night grubbing! The food was beautiful & delicious, the service was friendly and professional, and we would recommend Pacific Harvest to other couples in a heartbeat!

Seth and Dawn White of Pacific Harvest Catering were fantastic!!! If I could, I would give them 10 stars in every category! First of all, they are the sweetest people and are passionate about their work. I couldn't have had an easier time planning my wedding and they went above and beyond in every aspect. They worked WITH me to meet my budget and their staff was very professional and helpful. Finally and most importantly, the food was incredible! I am a foodie so I had high expectations for my wedding food. Pacific Harvest exceeded my expectations and everyone complimented the quality and uniqueness of the catering. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Pacific Harvest Catering!!

We can't recommend PHC enough! Dawn and her team were accommodating, a pleasure to work with, and most importantly, received endless compliments from our guests. We got married at the SeaCrest Hotel in Pismo Beach and although, at the time, the facility's layout was not ideal for catering, Dawn found workarounds and the food came out amazing. Additionally, we found out after the fact that a couple of dishes didn't make it out so PHC gave us a small refund (now that's honesty!). From our initial meeting, to the tasting, to the big day, PHC was professional, understanding of how important their role was, and lived up to our high expectations!

Food was excellent and service was great. They worked well with us to customize a menu to our liking and gave us the opportunity to taste test all of the food prior to finalizing the menu. Everyone attending said it was the best wedding food they've ever had. We loved having them as caterers and were proud to have such outstanding food at our wedding.

People are raving about the food provided by Pacific Harvest Caterers last night at my daughters wedding. From passed appetizers to the rustic buffet complete with olive branch sprigs, it was beautiful and very delicious. Dawn and Seth were professional And a pleasure to work with.

PHC was great to work with. Only had one small human error that was quickly addressed and made right. Dawn was so willing to work with you and give you exactly what you wanted. The food was delicious. Family style service was fun.

Many of our guests asked who the caterer was because they felt the food was delicious. Many said it was the best food they have had at a wedding.

One guest told us about the server offering to take her plate,our guest said she would really like more but could not eat it right now. The server came back with a piece of chicken in foil so she could take it home with her. She thought that was really nice.

The food was displayed very nicely, we had a buffet and plenty of food.

Thankful for how smooth everything went. We had no problems.

Food to die for

Pacific Harvest created an amazing meal for our wedding. The appetizers were incredible and displayed so beautifully, the food was served family style and the guests are still talking to me about how good it was months later. They created an entire menu based on a rough concept I provided and our guests were very well fed. They were very accomodating to dietary needs of our guests. They made sure to put some of the appetizers at our head table since we didn't get to enjoy happy-hour while we were doing photos and at the end of the night they even packed us a lunch for the next day.
They had the most thoughtful staff, the bartenders were amazing and the serving staff was so kind to everyone, they checked in multiple times throughout the evening to see if we needed anything else at our head table.
To top it off they had an awesome hot chocolate bar set up with the coffee with cute fixings that our guests really enjoyed. I HIGHLY recommend Pacific Harvest. They were so reasonable in price and it was worth EVERY PENNY. I plan on having them cater anything and everything in the future.

Best wedding food!

The food and the service was amazing! I got many compliments from my wedding guests on how much flavor the food had, and I was impressed with their level of service. I definitely would recommend Pacific Harvest as a caterer for any occasion.

WOW, seriously, our food was AMAZING! We booked with Pacific Harvest based off of a strangers recommendation and I'm so glad we did. We had 2 separate people come to us and say it was the best chicken they'd ever had in their life! We also did an appetizer hour with cheese & crackers and tray served appetizers. OMG, I didn't want to do bride stuff, I wanted to be up there eating all that yummy stuff! It was so good!

Wow....the food was AMAZING!!

The staff was great! So nice, friendly and professional.

I had so many people tell me that the food was great, that they even went back for seconds...lol.

Pacific Harvest Catering did an excellent job at my daughter's outdoor garden wedding. My guests are still raving about the excellent food and the artful presentation! As Dawn had just had her baby girl, her assistant manager, Coral, was in charge of our reception. She did an excellent job and was attentive to every request.

Food was great. Dawn is terrific to work with, and very flexible. The only thing I wasn't happy with was the bartender - he served champagne to people before the toasts, even though I had specified that was not to happen. Thank goodness I brought in a few extra bottles! Overall, they are really good and I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

We selected Pacific Harvest Catering for our wedding and truly couldn't have been happier! Dawn and Seth were willing to meet with us in person to let us sample food, allowed us to create a seasonal menu that fit our event, and were incredibly helpful with logistical issues throughout the challenging planning process (as we were planning an event 3,000 miles from our home). Our guests loved the food ("Even this butter is amazing!!" noted our best man) and we received countless compliments on the catering staff's attentiveness to details and friendly demeanor. The team made it all look so effortless. We appreciate how flexible they were regarding vegetarian/vegan meals, and also put together some pretty tasty children's dinners. Our only complaint is that my now-husband and I didn't get to enjoy all the amazing appetizers because we were too busy taking photographs during the cocktail hour! Selecting Pacific Harvest Catering was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Highly recommend!

Pacific Harvest Catering did a spectacular job at our wedding. While I recall every last detail, we've since learned from many of our guests what they remember - the food! That's okay though, because Pacific Harvest really exceeded our expectations (which were very high). The service staff was very good too, because they really demonstrated an appreciation that our event was a wedding and not just another banquet or event. I think this distinction is important because you only get married once and its the day I will remember forever. Thanks Seth, seriously, because I know we're going to be reading about you in magazines some day - you're very creative!

Everyone loved the food at our wedding and kept talking about how great it was! We got the plated dinner at the Atascadero Pavilion. The appetizers were also delicious. They are very busy, and at times it can be a little bit hard to get a response back from them (especially farther out from your wedding).

The service wasn't perfect -- they had to be reminded to put coffee out in the evening, to cut up the cake, etc., and the bartender opened up a ton of champagne and other wine bottles that were bought in excess 'just to be safe' and then couldn't be returned or stored long term (fyi, bevmo accepts returns of unopened wine bottles). We had gotten a lot of extra champagne bottles thinking that people could order champagne at the bar all night, and that we could probably serve some of them for brunch the next day or have them on our honeymoon, but the bartender didn't count the number of bottles versus number of people and just opened all of them for the champagne toast (every single bottle, all at once). Overall, Pacific Harvest was great, and I do think it was a very reasonable deal for the price, but do be specific with them about what you have planned for your bar service.

Pacific Harvest recently catered my wedding on the Central Coast. I booked them after meeting and speaking with many other caterers in the area and chose them because of Dawn's great recommendations and our menu options.

Throughout our planning process, I ran into a few responsiveness issues like emails not being responded to and phone calls left unreturned. Our main contact also switched a few times which wasn't that big of a deal but probably could have alleviated these problems.

The day of our wedding the food and service was excellent. The Pacific Harvest team worked so hard and really made for a great day. We got plenty of compliments on how much our guests enjoyed the dinner!

Aside from our venue, Pacific Harvest was the first vendor we booked as food was our number one priority for our late March wedding. We didn’t have a set theme other than we wanted to create a giant dinner party that was warm and inviting with great food, and Pacific Harvest’s “seasonal, local” approach was perfect for us. We worked closely with Dawn to create a menu that would be served family-style – she takes your ideas and does a great job of incorporating them into the offerings. Dawn had her first baby about half way into our planning so sometimes we struggled with communication and clarity on details from what they offer. If I have the chance to work with them again, I’d make sure to be more proactive about requesting these specifics up front (for ex., Asking what serving pieces they plan to offer for the event. For us, we ended up needing to rent about $500 more of serving items we didn’t anticipate earlier in the planning process). Also, if you choose to serve family-style make sure to ask that the servers help guests understand how food will be served as there was some confusion with some of our guests in the dining process. In the end, the food was delicious, inventive for “wedding fare” and a very worthwhile product.

Dawn, Seth and Paul were a great catering team. I'm a food and wine writer, so I'm very particular and my husband and I wanted the meal at our wedding to be special, rustic and have a homey touch. They nailed it, helping us create something that was personalized, including handmade tortellini en brodo and lavender encrusted lamb, some of the best-cooked artichokes we've ever eaten, and lots of fresh ingredients from the farmers' market from cocktail hour through the strawberries and mascarpone at dessert. I've heard from a number of our guests that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had, and while we're biased, we'd have to agree.

Fantastic food, the delicious beignets for dessert were my favourite. Classy cocktail hour and wonderful dinner. Guests were impressed with the food and the lovely presentation. Staff was professional. The menu was curated after a tasting and changes were made to accomodate us.

Complete breakdown of service caused many issues

I am leaving a 2-star review only because the food was good. That said, there was a complete breakdown of service on our wedding day. The event was significantly understaffed, causing a snowball effect of other mistakes, oversights and delays. After the wedding, Dawn White, the co-owner and business manager, showed little to no empathy or remorse for the many issues that significantly impacted our reception. Instead, she either downplayed the impact or blamed her staff – never once taking ownership of the mess. During our tasting, Dawn told us that she would be at our wedding reception. She did not attend, yet dismissed our comments and criticized our wedding coordinator’s decisions despite not seeing anything firsthand.

As we shared with Dawn since our wedding, we hope our poor experience provided an opportunity for PHC to learn and avoid future mistakes. Ultimately, we hope future couples that do elect to use PHC are the beneficiaries of our poor experience.

However, to be clear, we cannot recommend anyone use PHC for their wedding. When you imagine your wedding day, you don’t imagine watching family and friends wait in long lines all evening for drinks, seeing guests with empty wine glasses at their tables and missing out on an hour of time with the live band due to significant catering delays.

Below is a summary of our experience:

• Only one bartender showed up when our contract called for two bartenders and a barback. This caused long lines all night.
• Because of the lengthy line at the bar, our grand entrance was delayed over 30 minutes.
• Once seated for dinner, there were long lulls between dishes. (i.e. It took about 15-20 minutes from our plated salads being served until any other food came out.) Dawn told us that with family style dinners, it’s standard to “let a few minutes go between dishes to allow guests to pass around what’s been served,” but these lulls were excessive.
• Our coordinator and her assistants counted just four servers at our reception. Our contract called for nine servers. Dawn, who was not there, claimed there were six servers there (plus a trainee). Regardless, it was insufficient, especially considering that we had family-style dinner and tableside wine service.
• We paid for tableside wine service and there were not enough servers to provide this. The owners of the venue and one of our coordinator’s assistants actually had to serve tableside wine because of the lack of servers. Eventually, we had to ask them to simply leave bottles of wine at each table for guests to serve themselves in an attempt to make up for any lost time.
• At one point, a server told guests that he could not serve white wine because it had not been chilled.
• These snafus delayed everything even more. We saved 15 minutes by forgoing sunset photos, but then lost 30-40 minutes back from dinner service taking far longer than scheduled. In total, we were over an hour late starting our first dance.
• We paid to rent Moscow Mule mugs, but PHC misplaced them, so they were only used for the final 30-45 minute of our reception – after I specifically asked the bartender about them.

In closing, as you can imagine, we were extremely upset and disappointed with the level of service provided at our reception. We were extremely communicative throughout the year-plus prior to our wedding and didn’t have any changes to our menu. (FYI, Dawn was always slow to respond or needed “reminders” to respond throughout the yearlong planning process.)

At the end of the day, Dawn refunded us for the bartending, the copper mugs and the tax/service charge (20%) stemming from those charges. She had previously agreed to refund the tableside wine service because of a separate issue. She did not refund us any money for the breach in contract for number of servers or for any of the emotional distress caused. She never sincerely apologized or showed personal remorse.

With that said, the food was terrific and the one bartender we did have made great drinks.
