I’ve known Rooster for a few years. We both attended UAH. I recommended him for my sister’s wedding because I knew he was worth it. Everyone loved him and I knew I had to have him there for my day. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! From the moment we connected, DJ PapaRooster was professional, responsive, and completely understood the vibe we wanted for our wedding day.
DJ PapaRooster provided the music from the beginning of our wedding day to the end of the night. The transitions were smooth, and every single song felt like it belonged. He even handle the announcements, special dances and even a few spontaneous moments that felt natural and fun. I provided last-minute changes to the bride/groom entrance song and first dance songs for the reception and everything was executed perfectly.
He also provided the cold sparks, which were a big hit and made the night feel magical!

You need DJ PaPa Rooster for your wedding. He’s going to give you nonstop hits all night!! I first saw him in college at a Battle of the DJs contest and he was so smooth, gave you a mix of new/old and it flowed so well! I like many others thought he should have won but it was rigged, lol. I told my friend that “when I get married he has to be my DJ”! Well 7 years later he was the DJ for our wedding!! He of course did his thing I literally didn’t stop moving until the night was over, he let me hit a solo at the end of the night on the mic lol. I told everyone I would be on the dance floor all night and he made sure I didn’t once leave when the party started!! He was super fun to work with, very professional and responsive. I had last minute changes and he executed with ease “O that’s nothing major, I got you.” Our guests till this day talk about our DJ and how he had everyone on the dance floor! He literally brought the vibes for EVERYONE to enjoy!!!! He had a questionnaire and it asked about a “Do play” I gave the vaguest response and put in all caps WE TRUST YOU! DJ PapaRooster was amazing ! He was very polite, professional, on time and most of all HE LISTENS TO HIS CLIENTS! He played everything and exactly what we wanted and nothing that we didn’t want. I think this is so important because there are a lot of vendors where you tell them one thing and they do another and completely becomes a waste of your money, but NOT DJ PapaRooster. Oh, and the sparklers and dancing on a cloud machine was a hit! I would definitely recommend him 1,000% and would book him again should I ever need these particular services again. We met DJ Papa Rooster at a wedding expo back in August of 2019, shortly after getting engaged. It took less than a minute for him to draw us in with his charisma, stage presence, and OF COURSE - his dog Bear. We hired him for our October 2020 wedding, and like most couples last year, decided to postpone our large wedding to the following summer. About 2 weeks ago on June 11th, we had the BEST night of our lives -- thanks to DJ Papa Rooster. Our family and friends could not stop raving about him! What is most impressive is that he got great reviews not only from our young, fun friends who wanted to tear up the dance floor, but ALSO our older, quieter relatives who expected a classy evening. Look no further for a true Master of Ceremonies! My wife and I were looking for someone who would go beyond pressing 'play' for us. We wanted someone who could take the stress out of creating the audio atmosphere we sought for our special day. Darius delivered this and much more! Communication leading up to the event was clear and immediate. The morning of, he was punctual and took care of his own setup. He came prepared with both wired and wireless equipment to accomodate our space(s), and his DJ Stand looked entirely appropriate/upscale alongside our other decorations. His vast prior experience really showed when it came to keeping the day lively and active: making sure that everyone was entertained regardless of age. Exceeded every expectation of a DJ!! BOOK HIM!!
DJ Papa Rooster was amazing!!! Our original wedding date was planned for April 2020, which we had to move due to COVID. Darius was so understanding and accommodating to move our reception party, his ability to work with me helped take away any stress that could have potentially been added at such an unknowing time with all the changes we were having to make to our special day. He communicated to make sure everything was going to go smoothly on our reception date and arrived super early to make sure everything was set up perfectly. We even had a super last minute (hour before) change of location of ceremony due to rain that he was super accommodating for as well. Once it was reception time he got the crowd going and kept it going the entire night!! He was super engaging with the guests and got a "choo choo train" line started which was one of the most fun parts of the night! He got everyone involved! Another highlight was doing the Auburn and Alabama fight songs. Before the wedding I told him we would like to do this toward the end of the night and he exceeded any expectation I had, he had the guests separated on sides and made it a friendly competition of cheers and chants, it was AWESOME! Our wedding reception was one of the most fun days of our entire lives and a huge part of that was how much fun Darius made it for us!! He puts so much effort into making your event special and I would recommend him 10/10 times, I hope that I have an event in the future that I get to use him again for!!! A Night to Remember!
DJ Papa Rooster was AMAZING! From the very beginning he was super nice and asked a bunch of questions to make sure our day included everything we wanted. He was easy to get in touch with, and he didn't mind me texting him a million times with a bunch of questions lol. His pricing is really reasonable, and the experience was way more than what we expected. He had our crowd on their feet for almost the entire reception, and whenever we came up with another request, he added it to the mix. DJ Papa Rooster made our wedding that much more enjoyable, and I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking to elevate their party experience. 10/10 for sure!

Rooster you did your thing! We are so happy we went with DJ PaPaRooster, you were on it the min the reception started. We had our older crowd mix in and Rooster made sure they were comfortable and slowly started playing music for our younger crowd. The MKAffair was so much fun, we enjoyed every moment and that’s all because the DJ was live. He ordered things we wanted he made sure our reception was lit and we had everything we wanted!!! I loved that Rooster came out on the dance floor and not just behind the Dj booth he was interacting with our guest and was still being a GREAT DJ! Dj PaPaRooster is a must have at your event! He’s blessed to have such a great talent, he’s good socializing with ppl and keeping the crowd going!

Best decision I made for our wedding!
Papa was a phenomenal DJ and MC. I had at least a dozen guests tell me that the wedding was the absolute best they’ve been to and I believe it’s a direct result of Papa being able to feel the crowd out and move them with music. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and I’m so happy we were referred to him. He is actually quite popular and famous in the DJ world so I’m ecstatic he was available for our date! Keeping the Party Going
We can't say enough about DJ Papa Rooster and his "hype man" Bear. We had a tall order to fill which included many music genres to fit different tastes and ages of attendees. He not only went over and beyond to keep the dance floor full he was also able to keep energy high (even with those who were sitting). He definitely kept the party going while making sure the Bride and Groom knew he was there to make their day perfect. On that day DJ Papa Rooster not only became the only DJ we will ever recommend for any event, he also became part of our family. Cluck Up! YEAH!

He knew exactly what to do
Dj PapaRooster did an amazing job at our ceremony and reception on October 27. He did a great job with the timing of the different songs in the ceremony. He even came and made sure he was pronouncing everyone's names correctly for the reception entrance. When we couldn't the crowd up to dance, he got out there and danced with us. From the time I booked DJ P.A.P.A up until the day of my wedding, he has always had great energy (even over the phone) and available at any time. Being available is very important to me because it let's me know that you're reliable. His setup is very professional and neat. His appearance was also nice and neat (dressed for the occasion). I loved his energy and the way he engaged with the guest. He was also my EMCEE for the reception and did a great job. I purchased the package with the Gobo and Uplighting and it was perfect. I would most definitely recommend DJ P.A.P.A for any event you may have.

I am going down memory lane. Darius was the DJ for my bachelorette weekend 5 years ago TODAY!! Man he had the party JUMPING!! He was able to setup in a limited time window and did everything perfectly! We had some very specific songs, and we were not able to practice ahead of time with the music, but every song we requested was correct, and he just rolled with the punches! Our guests raved about how great he was, and I highly recommend him to anyone who wants a professional "on top of it" DJ who knows how to have a good time!

We had a blast! Everyone of all ages at our wedding got up on the dance floor. Weeks after guests continued to rave about how great the music selection was for our wedding. I could not be happier. He also was willing to do a special request for us the Groom and I wanted to do a lip sync battle as a last minute add in. DJ Papa Rooster was more than accommodating, and put together a seamless mix of the different songs we requested to perform. He definitely added flare to our wedding with his very own SnapChat filter. The guest loved the social media integration he brought forth with the filter. He was dressed very nicely so he did not look out of place at the wedding reception. He was also a shinning example of professionalism. DJ PaPaRooster was great! He asked what kind of music we wanted and he picked perfect songs! He read the room and kept the dancing going all night, everyone said they had such a great time. I could not have asked for a better night and I am so thankful we got DJ PaPaRooster.

DJ PaPaRooster was absolutely amazing at our wedding. He took our recommendations and rolled with them. He didn't play anything we didn't like. He also was very good at reading the party; he kept the momentum of the dance going very well. If a song came on that people stopped dancing to as much, he'd switch over to something else to keep it going. He also did all the announcing for us and did a great job with that as well! If we ever need a DJ for anything else, we'll go to him.

We used a combination of reviews from Wedding Wire, Darius's website (http://www.cluckup.com/the-dj-booth.html), and his company Facebook page to learn more about PaPaRooster Entertainment and could not have been more pleased with our choice! Darius is professional, great to work with, and very affordable. Darius was very easy to communicate with (available for texts, calls, and emails, with quick responses) and made us more and more comfortable with our decision the more we talked with him.
DJ PaPaRooster catered to our wedding guests before our ceremony with a great choice of music, creating an inviting atmosphere before everything began. If you choose Darius as your entertainment professional, you won't be disappointed. If we had the opportunity to use PaPaRooster Entertainment again, we would without hesitation. Between his work and price, this was one of the easiest decisions we made for our wedding day.

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding that Darius was a DJ at, he was very willing to accommodate any request that people offered. He is a very organized DJ he makes sure the Bride gives him a list of songs, and the order they want the songs to be played in to make sure they have the best stress free experience they could possibly receive.

Darius was a wonderful DJ he arrived and set up early and I did not have to worry about anything. He also did a great job keeping the reception moving and getting everyone on the dance floor. I would HIGHLY recommend him for all your musical needs!!!

He did an amazing job at our wedding!! Very professional and flexible with our demands! Everything flowed perfectly for our big day. He was also very responsive to any questions or needs leading up to the wedding. Would recommend to anyone!!

Rooster was the best DJ we've ever used for our Corporate Christmas party. He was flexible, responsive, and kept our group entertained and dancing all night long. He was so easy to work with and we enjoyed every second. I cannot recommend him enough.

DJ PAPA Rooster was really awesome. He listened to what we wanted in a working session before our event and made sure that he was able to provide exactly the type of environment we wanted. He took requests and really made the event super fun and memorable. I highly recommend him for anyone putting any type of event on.

I was referred to p.a.p.a entertainment through our wedding planner. He is awesome, very responsive, very helpful and patience. Oh yea and a great attitude. After reading all these great reviews i know i chose the best Dj. We have a few more mos to go before our wedding and i will review agai.

Darius was a WONDERFUL DJ! He brought all of his own equipment, and the only thing we provided him was a table. He is very professional, and found every single song we wanted at our ceremony/reception. Darius does a great job of making sure there are no awkward silences of music by fading songs in and out, as well as cutting them when things need to move forward. His prices are very fair and reasonable. If you're looking for a DJ who will cater to your needs and make sure your ceremony is beautiful and your reception is a lot of fun...book P.AP.A. Entertainment!
