Our experience hosting a wedding at Oxbow was wonderful! We held our reception at Oxbow Brewing in Portland, ME in late October. Courtney and Rebecca work so well as a team and are very organized. They adapted to our admittedly untraditional request for karaoke and were always happy to help. Rebecca set up several Zoom meetings and helped us think through every detail. On the day of, Courtney was a huge support and coordinated smoothly with our family and friends who were bringing gifts and helping set up. The bartenders and staff were also incredible, and several guests commented on how lovely they were. Their whole team made the day as unique and special as we imagined. We feel lucky to have found Oxbow and would recommend them to anyone looking for great service and a lovely reception! -

We had an absolutely incredible experience working with Oxbow for our 10/18/25 wedding ceremony and reception!! Everything prior to the wedding went very smoothly—Rebecca was extremely responsive and always available to answer any of our questions. On the day of, Oxbow staff followed our decor set-up document perfectly, communicated with all vendors well, and even helped us out with a last-minute catering debacle. Courtney was a rockstar, making sure to communicate with us about how things would go, and she even checked in with us a couple times throughout the night to make sure we were all set (and to grab us some beer lol). Both my wife and I were able to fully focus on enjoying the moment rather than stressing about details because Oxbow staff did such a great job. I truly cannot recommend this place enough. The vibes and decor were perfect, there was more than enough space for our 60 guests during both the ceremony and reception, bar staff were quick and efficient (never saw a line at the bar), ugh like truly I have 0 notes!! THANK YOU OXBOW!! -

We had our rehearsal dinner at Oxbow Brewing in Portland, ME and having nothing but great things to say! We have a full family style meal for ~50 people followed by a welcome reception for ~140 people following this and space was plenty big. Rebecca and Courtney were fantastic in helping coordinate everything and made the process extremely easy and stress free from start to finish. Rebecca set up regular meetings with us to ensure they could execute our vision. Courtney was awesome when we visited the venue for a tour and the day before/day of for last minute details. Some of our favorite parts of the venue are the big barrels, indoor/outdoor space which was perfect for the summer, the table flowers they provided, how there were two bars so the line was never long, the projector to play a slideshow of pictures, and the stage for speeches. And can't forget about the top tier beer! We would highly recommend for any event -

I don't even have the words to describe how phenomenal our wedding at Oxbow was. This was the literal night of our lives, brought to us by this incredible venue & team. First of all, as you can see from the photos, the vibes at this place are IMMACULATE!! Courtney & Rebecca are an absolute dream to work with, especially if you're a type B kinda person like I am and need someone to help you stay on track. They were able to make local recomendations for vendors and worked with all of our vendors to coordinate everything for the big day (which took a lot of stress off me as the bride). The two of them and the entire team at Oxbow were beyond flexible, kind, FUN, and chill. They brought the best energy to our wedding day -- they kept us on schedule but nothing ever felt rushed. They're also have a team of just genuinely great people. Oh, and they have killer beer!!! If you're looking for a fun, cool, joyful, memorable, special wedding (or even rehearsal dinner, engagement party, literally any event), this is the place you'll get it. The staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was just right – they worked with me to secure the date I wanted, were unbelievably responsive throughout the planning process, and answered every question with care and patience. No matter what I asked for, they made it happen seamlessly. On the day itself, everything was flawless, and I felt so supported and at ease knowing their team was behind it all. I can’t say enough good things about them – I’m not planning on getting married again, but I would wholeheartedly recommend Oxbow to anyone planning a wedding or special event. Beyond beyond beyond our wildest dreams. Let me just first say every single person we worked with behind the scenes and at the actual wedding was 11/10. Rebecca was so organized, communicative, responsive. Zero notes. Courtney took care of every single little thing and literally anticipated all of my needs before I even knew what I needed. Every single guest complimented her. Without her things would have gone up in flames. The bartenders Ryan and Brittany (prob others too) were fabulous. We ran into Ryan at a different bar the next day and he ran back to Oxbow to get me my pumpkin that my cousin grew for me that I forgot at the venue. Everyone was beyond professional and flexible. They all have excellent personalities and may not even be from this world. I will recommend this crew and venue to everyone for any event forever. These people made our day spectacular. Not one single complaint. THANK YOU OXBOW!!!!!!!!!! -

Oxbow- Newcastle Location
We had our wedding and reception at Oxbow’s Newcastle location and it was absolutely perfect. Rebecca and Tessa made planning our wedding a breeze!
My partner and I had our first date at Oxbow and it felt like kismet to get married at the same location.
We rented the farmhouse next door for the weekend and staying right next to the venue was amazing! They have the ultimate VHS collection and Dizzy visited us every morning.

Deciding to get married at Oxbow Blending and Bottling was one of the best decisions my husband and I have ever made. The whole planning process was an absolute breeze! We had our ceremony and reception at the Oxbow Beer Garden in Oxford this year (September 2024), and it was the most incredible wedding day! Our amazing experience with Rebecca and the Oxbow team started nearly two years prior, when we visited the venue and fell in love with it. It's a beautiful space. Every step of the way, Rebecca was always in touch to answer our questions and make sure we had everything we needed to ensure the day was a fun one. And it was perfect—everything came together so beautifully! The space was wonderful for our ~100 guests, the food was spectacular thanks to Chef Connor (we had everything from Oxbow-raised pork to rhubarb crumble), the drinks were delicious, and the whole day ran seamlessly thanks to Rebecca and her team. My partner Ryan and I are so grateful for Rebecca—she's an incredibly kind, thoughtful, patient, and sharp events manager who made the entire planning process very clear and easy to navigate, and the day of a seamless and unstressful experience. After lots of thoughtful planning from Rebecca, Ryan and I were able to really enjoy our wedding day without having to stress over logistics.
Oxbow Beer Garden was also the perfect venue for a big live band and a dance floor, which I would do again in a heartbeat. We booked Big Magic, who were excellent (and Rebecca/Oxbow helped them get what they needed to have a great set).

My husband and I are so glad we chose Oxbow for our wedding venue! Everything was perfect from the food, venue, atmosphere and of course beer! Rebecca the wedding coordinator was responsive, sweet and knowledgeable - I felt completely at ease leaving my wedding in her capable hands. She made everything so easy (tho a brides job is never easy she really made all the difference for me). Her staff, the day of, was incredible with setting up and their high spirits really carried the night (I loved looking over from the dance floor and seeing our bar tender dancing along while he mixed drinks it was so fun). Since the wedding I’ve heard nothing but praise for the venue, night and overall vibe of the wedding — if you’re considering this venue I promise you can’t go wrong if you choose to go with Oxbow! -

We had our wedding at the Oxford location and it was perfect! The space was beautiful and well designed for a wedding.
The food was amazing, the staff were so organized and kind. We highly the oysters and pizza add-on options, they were a hit with the crowd!
Definitely a venue that can be dressed up or down to your desires.
We rented the barn house, which actually came really handy to get ready for the day and for friends who were nursing, etc. -

All of the guests had such a wonderful time - it was such a fun spot, intimate but plenty of space to mingle without feeling crowded, beautiful lighting and floral decor that was included, and truly the perfect space to host a party! All of the servers and bartenders were so friendly and helpful. We appreciated being able to customize the drink menu as well and bring in food. After our original venue made the decision to shut its doors for good four months before our wedding, and we panic searched for another venue in the same city on the same date, we couldn't believe Oxbow--a space of our dreams--was not only available but happy to work with us to quickly make our dreams and original vision come true (spoiler: they made it even better than we had originally envisioned and the service we received was something out of a movie).
We'll sing Oxbow's praises for a lifetime to come. They were the MOST organized, seasoned, and service-oriented group of people we talked to and worked with during our 1.5-year engagement. From their planning documents, extreme responsiveness, and willingness (and often proactively) to go above and beyond in all aspects of the day, we were oh so happy and at ease from the moment we signed our event contract through the end of our wedding night. This is all in addition to the upkeep and design of the space itself, the day-of bar staff that made our guests feel at home (and fall in love with their beer), their ability to store our decor and wedding needs early the week before, to hold onto it until we were ready to pick up later in the weekend, our amazing day-of coordinator, COURTNEY, who treated us as if it were her best friends getting married, and their 1:1 communication throughout the planning process with our other vendors, without needing us involved (!)...we could go on and on.
Thank you thank you thank you to the entire team at Oxbow, and a special shout out again to Courtney, Rebecca and Katie...we can't wait to come back! -

When we got engaged, Oxbow was the first place that jumped to mind as our venue because we loved the idea of getting married somewhere we already loved spending time at. It also seemed like the perfect place for a wedding that we didn't want to feel too fussy but didn't comprise on a stylish ambiance or great food. Our past interactions with the staff at Oxbow also made us feel like we'd be in good hands -- and that couldn't have been more true. Rebecca and her team were so friendly, communicative and thoughtful; they took most of the the stress out of planning our event, even when we realized that it was going to rain in the days leading up to our wedding in late October. Before we even reached out, they had ideas for how to adjust our plans for the weather, prepped the venue to combat any mud, and in the end, the weather didn't put a damper on the celebration at all. For a venue that we partially chose for its outdoor space, it's a real testament to Oxbow that we still had such a great time in the drizzle, especially under the big pavilion that we lit up with lights and candles, and inside the cozy, rustic restaurant. (Our guests loved it too!) We love that we got married at a place that we can return to for a beer and a pizza all year round, and would totally recommend it to other couples. 11/10. -

Incredible venue!
My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner at the Oxbow Beer Garden in Oxford and we couldn't recommend this venue more for either a rehearsal dinner or a wedding! Rebecca and her entire team were SO helpful every step of the way and made every single moment of the night so special. Our event was an absolute dream! Between the florals the venue supplied and the incredible food that was served every single guest, including ourselves, were totally blown away. Our event was back in June and we still have family who tell us how spectacular our rehearsal dinner was!
Also, and very importantly, the beer + drinks were so incredible! Overall, this is a 10/10 location to have a wedding or rehearsal dinner - the team at Oxbow will go above and beyond to make your dreams come true!! -

We loved the Oxbow beer garden as customers before choosing it as our wedding venue, and the staff's flexibility and personableness ultimately helped us decide to get married there.
Throughout the process, working with Rebecca was a dream – she was always available to answer questions, especially as our vision was different than what other couples had done there in the past. She worked with us and our vendors every step of the way, and on the day of, everything came together exactly as we'd envisioned. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive and organized, and multiple guests commented on how great they were throughout the night. The food was amazing, the bars and buffets never had long lines, and the entire day went off without a hitch, despite some unexpected rain storms that the staff handled swiftly and professionally.

Beautiful event space in downtown Portland!
Great beer, great staff, great place! My husband and I are so glad we chose Oxbow for our wedding because they made it so easy! All we had to arrange ourselves was catering and a photographer (and even then, Oxbow staff met the vendors and coordinated all the drop offs and set up). Oxbow handled staffing, the bar, beverages, flowers, ambiance, tables, AV equipment, set up, clean up, and more, all included in the event space price! They were easy to work with and made accommodations for our budget and event specifications. Highly recommend for a good beer on a summer afternoon or to host the event of your dreams! -

Fall Wedding at Oxbow
My husband and I were lucky enough to have our dream wedding at the Oxbow Beer Garden. The staff, venue and whole day was full of fun and relaxation which is hard to imagine on such a big day but Rebecca who we worked with directly with made sure her staff and herself were always there with a smile on and making sure everything went perfect. From the very beginning, our coordinator was super helpful in answering all of our questions. Wedding planning is stressful, but Rebecca kept everything extremely organized and worked with all of our vendors to ensure every detail was covered. On the day of our wedding, everything went incredibly smoothly. The whole Oxbow team, including our day-of coordinator, Courtney, was really great and made sure our guests enjoyed the day. This review is actually for the Portland, ME, location- Oxbow Blending & Bottling, but there isn't a setup for that location on this site, just wanted to be clear for anyone reading!
We could not have been happier with our wedding reception at Oxbow in Portland. Rebecca was so helpful and patient with us in initial planning and as we threw questions at her for 6 months leading up to the day. Staying in touch with us after our initial query is what really led us to pulling the trigger to start planning and ultimately led to us booking the date in October that I really wanted. The decorations we provided, setup we requested, and plans for the event were executed flawlessly by Courtney and Josh, despite my being difficult to keep on track while dancing the night away! There was also some confusion with my family members who were trying to help us get all rentals/decorations delivered (they tried to deliver them to the wrong Oxbow, which gave us all a good laugh), and the Oxbow staff were very helpful as those family members called them as well. They really went above and beyond at every opportunity. We utilized the “bulk” flower relationship they have with Broadturn Farm, which turned out above our expectations (the colors were exactly what we wanted even though they were not contractually obligated to do that)- Rebecca helped coordinate drop-offs of extra flowers etc. with Angela, and it all went exactly to plan. Everyone had such a wonderful time at the reception, continues to talk about how wonderful the venue was, and we can’t thank Oxbow enough for pulling it off. -

Dream Reception!
Oxbow was so great to work with in planning and hosting our fall wedding reception. Rebecca was always responsive and a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process. Oxbow was able to bring my vision to life on our reception day and I couldn't have been more impressed with their staff. Everything ran so smoothly and seamlessly. The drinks, apps and pizza were all delicious. We truly had our dream reception at Oxbow - it's the perfect venue for the non-traditional couple. Oxbow Blending & Bottling has a perfect location nestled off of Washington Avenue on Portland’s East End neighborhood. We had the fall brewery wedding of our dreams here on 10.09.22. Plethora of airbnbs in the area allowed us to get ready close by, pop over to the Eastern Promenade for photos and then right down to Oxbow: we rented a trolly. We were taken care of from the moment we initiated contact with Rebecca. Our emails never went unanswered and we had an overall flawless experience. I would highly recommend Oxbow to fulfill your fellow brewery wedding dreams. cheers! -

Oxbow hosted my wedding (150 guests) with ease. Their staff is world class and carry themselves with utmost professionalism and we very kind to all of our guests. We have received countless compliments from our guests about how great the food and beer were and also how beautiful the venue was. Rebeca's dedication to making our day perfect was tremendous. She truly went above and beyond to ensure that everything was exactly how we envisioned it. The onsite rental property was the perfect spot for the wedding party to get ready and a very convenient feature about hosting your wedding there. The layout and design of the rental space was very well thought out with a good sized bathroom, large open kitchen area with nice appliances, three bedrooms and a comfy living room area If you are looking for a stress free, fun, and laid back wedding this is the place to do it. I cannot sing their praises loud enough. -

A perfect, intimate wedding in such a special place!
We rented the Oxbow Beer Garden pavilion for a small summer wedding — it was everything we hoped for and more! Food, drinks, and location were all absolutely perfect! Pricing was reasonable, and the staff was friendly, accommodating, and attentive. We were able to use the field on the property for a small, secluded, and photogenic ceremony. They also allowed us to bring a few of our own decorations to add to the pavilion, which already has pretty string lights. Oxbow had the pavilion set up for us before our start time with a private bar with a great selection of cans, wine, and cocktails. Appetizers for our cocktail hour were also ready for us right away. For dinner, we had a great selection of pizzas and kale caesar salad. The flexible timing and quality of the food was excellent! The staff even offered a small sound system for us to use for a few wedding speeches and dance music. Even though the rest of the beer garden was open to the public during our party, we didn’t really notice — it felt like a private venue! I highly recommend this venue if you have a small event (45 guests or less). Rebecca was very helpful and made it easy to host a beautiful celebration with minimal stress and planning on our part. -

Professional staff and a stress-free experience
We were married at Oxbow Blending and Bottling in Portland, ME on 05/07/22. Our experience was excellent. The venue looked amazing and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We had to postpone our wedding for six months and Oxbow was very accommodating and helpful throughout that process. Rebecca was great to work with. She was very responsive and always willing to speak with us about any questions or concerns. Everything went perfectly, it was exactly what we wanted. I had my wedding and reception here and it was as close to perfect as you could get! Not only were the food and beverages delicious, the staff were AMAZING! They took care of everything and were so wonderful to work with. Rebecca, the coordinator, had everything taken care of so as the bride, I had little to no stress on wedding day! Wedding aside, this place is awesome. Great atmosphere to hang out, spend time with friends, and enjoy some delicious food and drink. Small summer 2021 Wedding at Oxbow Beer Garden was great!
We hosted our small wedding for about 25 guests (ceremony and reception) at the Oxbow Beer Garden in Oxford on a Saturday afternoon in August 2021. We had our own designated area away from other patrons, but due to how small our event was, Oxbow didn't need to close to the public. Rebecca was so easy to work with and very flexible and the process was just so smooth and low-stress despite being during a pandemic (and we live out of state so only visited once during the process, the rest of our planning was done over phone/email) . Of course, the beer was excellent and the pizza is just so great. We were all also so pleasantly surprised by the pita and hummus that was part of our appetizers. I would highly recommend visiting just to enjoy a beer on the beautiful property or planning an outdoor event with Rebecca and her team! We have already been back since the wedding and hope to get up to the property to snowshoe over the winter! -

Oxbow is the BEST. We were lucky to have our wedding here and I would not change a thing about our day. They made planning a wedding easy. Everyone we worked with was incredible and our wedding day was incredible. We walked into the venue and it was set up even better than I could have anticipated. Every guest was raving about. how friendly, fun, and helpful the staff was. I can't recommend Oxbow enough. -

Oxbow Orchard Summer Wedding
My husband and I hosted our wedding reception here in June of last year and let me tell you - it was Maine summer backyard perfection. Rebecca and her team did all the set up and clean up for us (with our artistic direction bc my husband and I are both designers), we had an INCREDIBLE open bar with our rental that served well into the wee hours and a little hair of the dog the next morning. A lot of DIY spirit was involved but they were incredibly accommodating and game to help with the vision of the day as well. I had so many of our friends and family say how awe-struck they were with the property and how it really made the event that day. Thank you! -

We celebrated our wedding in August 2021 at Oxbow Beer Garden in Oxford, ME with about 110 people. Oxbow - both the space and the staff - was amazing. The space was beautiful and their staff decorated it with seasonal flowers. (We hired a separate florist for a few smaller things.)
During our event, Oxbow supplied all of the food. During cocktail hour we had charcuterie, veggies, and their fantastic pizza. (This is coming from a New Yorker who has tried many types of pizza over 15 years of research.) Our dinner was served buffet-style with chicken/fish/veggie options and salads, all of which were delicious. Of course, they also included their amazing beer, along with wines, and some mixed drinks.
The staff was absolutely amazing. Much to our dismay, a hurricane decided to make an appearance on our wedding day (we know we know, rain on your wedding day is a blessing!). The Oxbow staff quickly adjusted. They changed the plan for where they thought food should be set up, donned ponchos and other raingear, and with positive spirits got our guests food in both a timely and remarkably dry fashion (calling tables up one-by-one)! They did all of this with smiles and friendliness At the end of the evening, they came out to dance with us and we couldn't have been happier.
Everything ran extremely smoothly. In weddings, something always goes wrong but none of the things that stressed us out that day had ANYTHING to do with Oxbow. When the bride showed up, they even led her to a little bridal suite, saved the cake for us to take home, and did things like help coordinate the tent and wedding canopy set up and set up a guest book. Much credit goes to Rebecca, the event coordinator, and Birch, one of the co-owners.
Not only will we continue to come to Oxbow on the regular for our pizza and beer needs but we are so thrilled to be able to remember it as the place we got married. We give Oxbow our highest recommendation for throwing an event. And even if you aren’t throwing an event, we highly recommend coming to Oxbow’s Beer Garden for pizza and beer. -

The perfect wedding
Everything about working with Oxbow was a dream. Rebecca answered all of my questions during the planning process, and was so kind and helpful! It rained the weekend of our wedding, and we ended up booking a last-minute tent which we had to set up ourselves- Rebecca was there to help. During the event, the staff were all completely amazing. So nice and helpful, and totally supportive despite my wedding-day nerves. The food was amazing, the beer and drinks were amazing, the venue itself was totally beautiful. Tons of parking, very easy to get to, lots of bathrooms, and so many options for food!! It was the perfect day, and so many of my guests remarked that the staff were a huge part of it. Thank you Oxbow!! -

Welcome Dinner
We hosted our wedding Welcome Dinner here. Rebecca was wonderful and extremely easy to work with. They gave us the back part of the garden that had a tent and picnic benches as well as fire pits. It was an incredible atmosphere. The bartenders were extremely friendly and everyone had a wonderful time! We were able to bring in a food truck as well! I cannot say enough good things! We’ll be visiting every time we are in Maine. -

The staff at Oxbow are genuinely happy to be doing what they’re doing. They’re proud of their venue, their food, their beer, and their atmosphere – and they do everything they can to make sure you’re having as great of a time as they are.
Oxbow was the first and only venue we looked at for our wedding, and we couldn’t have imagined a better location. Guests appreciated the great food and drink (and that the bar had more than beer!) and we loved the vibe of the beer garden.
Rebecca (the Oxbow event coordinator) was incredibly helpful from day 1 and was in constant contact to make sure we had everything we needed. For example, when we asked for coffee service for our late-night reception, Rebecca said… “sure!” A true professional! -

We had the most wonderful experience celebrating our wedding at Oxbow! The venue was gorgeous and the staff was incredibly helpful. The team was extremely communicative throughout the entire process of planning and then we worked with an amazing weekend of coordinator! The staff at the event was amazing and helpful and went above and beyond for all of our needs! We had our wedding at the Newcastle location, which is by far the most rustic of the locations, so we did need to coordinate a fair amount to bring in bathrooms and catering and make sure electricity and water were available, but the team was very helpful in coordinating directly with the vendors to make this happen! We also stayed at the airbnb on site, which was extremely helpful!! -

I think the fact that Oxbow is new in the wedding hosting game shows. We struggled a bit with timely communication but ultimately our day went off without a hitch. The staff did a great job bringing our vision to life. Our guests loved the venue and the food.
