  Not only does Owen do beautiful work on my clients but he is so easy to work with. If I want to take a color lighter or darker he does so happily and with so much patience. Also his makeup photographs beautifully, both in natural and studio light. I highly recommend Owen!

  Owen always goes above and beyond. My Sister just got married at the Pier 5 Hotel. Owen came to the hotel - was polite professional and provided the services that were contracted and then some (he has made me a fan of false eyelashes). When all was said and done Owen made me look "natural but better". I would recommend his services to any Bride and Groom (yes sometimes the Groom and Groomsmen need a little bronzer).

  Owen always goes above and beyond. My Sister just got married at the Pier 5 Hotel.   45 Minutes Late

  I found Owen though Baltimore Magazine and reached out. I got an immediate response and we hit it off! I scheduled my bridal trial and we were off to the races.
  
  I set aside a full hour for makeup, and then an additional 30 minutes in case we ran over. We were traveling to northern Virginia for pictures and we were to arrive the minute they opened to avoid people! It's an 1:15 drive to the location.
  
  Owen showed up 45 minutes late to my makeup trial. He said he lent his car to his roommate, why I'm not sure since this was planned weeks in advance, and then a parade downtown had streets shut down so his uber took longer than expected.
  
  At one point when he was texting me, I asked him if I should do my own makeup because I honestly wasn't sure I was going to make it on time.
  
  My makeup, while beautiful, stressed me out enormously, and I knew then I wouldn't be able to hire him for my wedding because I wasn't sure he was going to show up on time.

  Late and did not complete anyone's makeup for wedding

  I normally don't write bad reviews, but if I help one bride in the future then it's worth it! We hired a tried and true hair stylist for our wedding and Owen was the makeup artist she works with. I got a trial and thought all would go well, but Owen was very unprofessional on the day of the wedding. He arrived about 45 mins late, which on its own would have been fine. About 30 mins after arriving he stated he wasn't feeling well and hadn't been for several days. Long story short, after serving him several drinks and snacks over several hours he ended up not completing a single person's makeup. If you aren't feeling well that's understandable, but he should have made the decision to not continue promptly and we could have figured something else out. As a result, we all had to scramble last minute to do our own makeup. We requested he at least leave us a good primer to use since none of us had one, but he claimed it was in the bottom of his bag and he would have to dig for it.. so we didn't even get that! We ended up late to the wedding and never heard a word after the fact from Owen. Also, I had made a $100 deposit for makeup on the day of the wedding and have not received that back despite not having any makeup done that day. Total disaster through and through.

  SCAMMER ALERT - Took the money and ran.

  We hired Owen and immediately something was off. He was hard to reach, unresponsive, and when we did hear from him he was rude, snarky, and vague. We never got a HMU schedule from him and our wedding planner had to make one that we assumed he was following along, constantly assuring us he and a team would be there and be ready on the big day and seemingly being quite offended that we would even ask him to confirm that he was coming or provide any sort of plan for us - which struck us as odd considering he DEMANDED PAYMENT PLUS A TIP in advance. So the big day rolls around, our first HMU appointments are set for 8am and... nobody is there. 8 becomes 8:30 and we think - okay, we're at least going to ask him to refund the tip. 8:30 becomes 9. We've called him from multiple numbers, sent texts and Instagram DMs. Absolutely no response from him or anyone else on his "team" - it's now been three days since my wedding and we haven't heard a thing from Owen or had our money returned. Obviously, securing last minute salon appointments/buying makeup and having our wedding parties do their own HMU was an extreme last minute financial and emotional cost. Please please avoid this person at all costs.

  Unprofessional in Prep, No Show Day Of

  Owen completely flaked on my wedding, ghosted everyone involved on the day of, and has not returned any money. He is a scam artist that has no business being in this industry.
  
  He was recommended by a friend, but did not ONE BIT OF WORK on our wedding. Months ago, he asked for payment and tip ahead of doing anything, which we paid. We heard nothing from him since then until we reached out.
  Our wedding planner had been reaching out to Owen multiple times weeks before our wedding. He never returned any of her email, calls or texts. We finally got him on a text thread and he complained that we were reaching out to him because he was busy. He routinely complained that he had to do any prep for our wedding despite being paid. We came up with a schedule for him, hearing nothing from him on whether it worked.
  Then, he never showed up. All of my bridesmaids had to scramble and, based on their hard work, looked beautiful on the day.
  To say he is unprofessional is an understatement. He is a scam artist. Stay far away

  He ghosted

All the bridesmaids had to scramble and find salons that would accommodate us. I wouldn't recommend this man to my worst enemy. He nearly ruined my best friend's day.
