Highly recommend!

Matt was recommended by our wedding planner and he was so easy going and made the walks down the aisle just as we had hoped for with nice versions of the songs. Plus, any special song or music we needed for certain dances he made happen! He played upbeat dance music and our feet hurt so bad the next day from our nonstop dance party!

Outer Banks Music Masters are Fantastic DJs!!!!!

My husband and I booked Outer Banks Music Masters for our wedding ceremony and reception and we were so beyond pleased with them! First of all, Matt was amazing to work with throughout the planning process. He was prompt, professional, and creative. I had a couple ideas for song mash ups, and he helped me create them, no problem at all! Second of all, the music Johnny played for the reception had our guests up and dancing all night long! We had the best time dancing at our wedding! I would highly recommend Outer Banks Music Masters to anyone planning a wedding or a party!

Dancing machines!

Matt did an awesome job DJ'ing out wedding a the Black Stallion Friday. He was very flexible for some storms that rolled in and we didn't have to worry about a thing! His song choices were awesome and got everyone dancing ALL night, he had great recommendations for cake cutting, announcement, and other events that needed a song. Would absolutely recommend him for any event!!

Alec is the bomb!

We hired this company from 8.5 hours away hoping they would work for our backyard beach wedding. They exceeded or expectations. Matt was super friendly and easy to book with. Our DJ Alec had evvvvveryone at our wedding dancing and was super friendly and open to requests all night. We loved having him there, he made it so fun!

Fun and professional!

Matt was the perfect DJ for our wedding! He played all of the music we loved and also did a flawless introduction of the bridal party! He's fun and professional, and our day would not have been the same without him. I highly recommend Outer Banks Music Masters for your wedding!

Dance Party of the Century

Matt was the perfect DJ. He was great to work with and listened to our requests and executed them flawlessly. Our guests danced throughout the whole reception and the pavilion was bouncing (literally). We could not have asked for a better experience!!

Johnny did a great job

Johnny was our dj and did a great job. We gave him a few songs we really wanted to hear and he did a good job picking music that pleased everyone. Our guests had a great time.

We were a little nervous about planning a wedding from out of town but Matt and Johnny made it easy. Matt helped us through the planning and Johnny was the dj at our reception. He did a good job of getting people moving and having fun.

Great wedding dj and a great value

Matt Cooper was the ideal DJ for our wedding! He was easy to work with and custom tailored the playlist to be exactly what we wanted. Needless to say the dancefloor was packed all night!

Matt made this insanely easy. We appreciate it more than we could possibly say. Our wedding was just two days ago and I still have music stuck in my head- I was worried because it was a small wedding, but everyone was on their feet and dancing all night long. Matt took our ideas and went with it and made an absolutely perfect blend of songs that matched us and what we wanted. Highly recommend.

Matt from OBMM was absolutely amazing! I have been to weddings where the music is not fit for the atmosphere and the people attending, and I didn't have to worry about that with Matt. He asked ahead of time for some music recommendations that I would want played and he took it from there. The music played during dinner before everyone was up and dancing was absolutely perfect. It was very "beachy" and relaxed, it was absolutely perfect! After dinner everyone immediately got up to dance. Matt and his team definitely know how to keep everyone on the dance floor! Thank you so much, I couldn't have imagined the night going any different, it was a party to remember!

Matt was the perfect wedding DJ! I expected to hire a DJ and then have to give them a list of songs that I wanted to be played. But he suggested the exact opposite. He told us just to give him an idea of what types of music we'd like to hear and he took it from there, which took a lot of stress off my plate. He did the music for my ceremony as well which went off without a hitch. I wanted to have karaoke at our rehearsal dinner, so I asked him if he knew anyone and he got me in touch with a colleague of his that did a FANTASTIC job!
He was so professional, took requests from my guests and when a guest that was having a little too much fun asked to make a toast, he first went to my wedding planner to check with me before allowing her to do anything which I REALLY appreciated!! The music was perfectly suited for our group and the dance floor was full all night long! :)

My husband and I loved working with Matt Cooper from OBMM!!! We knew we wanted Matt to be our DJ from the moment we first met him when he asked us what concerts we had recently been to. We loved that he was intuitive and a good listener and understood that the music for our wedding should be as customized as the ceremony or the cake or the flowers. He is incredibly responsive and super flexible, especially with some of our (last minute) changes!! He kept the dance floor full all night long - the sure sign of a good party. Thank you, Matt, for making our wedding so special and so much fun!!!

Matt was absolutely fantastic to work with. He met with my husband and I before the wedding to get to know us and what we liked to listen to. We emailed back and forth several times about different things I wanted and things he needed to know. Matt responded back quickly to all my emails. Then we arrived in the Outer Banks, he set another meeting to go over final details and to make sure he knew how to pronounce everyone's names in the wedding party. Everyone I talked to after the wedding told me the music was fantastic and that they had a blast! I highly recommend Outer Banks Music Masters

Matt from Outer Banks Music Masters is not only a fantastic DJ but also an overall good guy! We hired Matt to do our ceremony music and DJ during our cocktail hour and reception. He made our night! During the wedding planning process, Matt and I emailed about the requested songs from guests and the songs that went with the important moments (ex: cake cutting, first dance) that he would incorporate throughout the night. Matt was also given the wedding day timeline in advance and everything went so smoothly the day of the wedding. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ so we highly recommend using Outer Bank Music Masters for your big day!

We are more than thrilled with our DJ choice with Outer Banks Music Masters! Matt was very responsive and easy to work with. People are still talking about how awesome our playlist was. Also, I booked at the expo and he was offering a choice of $200 off or free uplighting. My original thought was to go for the discount, but I am SO glad I went for the uplighting! It made our reception lighting amazing and so romantic and fun. It set the perfect tone for an awesome night!

We were married in the Outer Banks in August 2017. My now husband and I live in Pennsylvania and Matt made it so easy for us to communicate! It was obvious that Matt listened and cared about making our day as special as we invisioned it to be! Every moment was incredible and Matt was a big part of that! The music, announcements, timing, etc can make or break your wedding day, and Matt help make our day perfect! Thank you again, Matt, for everything!

Matt was great to work with! He was very responsive to emails and allowed us to pick out some of our favorite songs to play during the reception. The guests all commented on how great the music was and how they wanted to dance all night. He did an awesome job and I HIGHLY recommend having him DJ your next event!!

Matt from OBMM was wonderful throughout the whole process from booking him to thanking him at the end of our wedding day. We really appreciated Matt's flexibility when the weather didn't cooperate with the timing of our beach wedding. We pushed back our ceremony time a half hour and Matt provided music and entertainment to our guests while everyone waited. We provided Matt with only a general theme of the music we wanted and he hit it right on throughout the entire evening with exactly what we wanted. Matt was so easy to work with and did a fantastic job! Thanks Matt!

Matt from OBMM was terrific and went above and beyond! He was easy to work with and extremely flexible. He played a wide range of music, but was more than accommodating for our playlist requests. Johnny was outstanding for our reception, and was one decision that we couldn't have been happier with. Matt was so easy to work with during the planning process, and both were absolute professionals throughout. Johnny was in communication with us throughout the night to make sure we had the songs played that we wanted, and to make sure that everyone was having a great time. He has an excellent feel for a crowd, as our dance floor was full most of the evening. Even when we had to move Johnny under the tent due to the threat of rain, he worked with us to do so while we did our sparkler sendoff to not interrupt the flow. We've received nothing but compliments on how excellent he was, and we can't thank you enough for helping make our night unforgettable.

Matt kept us on our feet all night! When we said we wanted to dance, he did not disappoint! He played such a great mix of songs and read the crowd perfectly. Matt checked in with us a few times during the reception and made sure we were ok with everything. He kept the party moving and everyone had a blast! Matt Cooper from OBX Music Masters exceeded what one would typically expect from a wedding DJ. He was super easy to work with and was attentive to our reception's vibe. Our dance floor was full all night and Matt had a lot to do with it. We had provided Matt with a list of songs to play from ceremony music to cocktail hour music to reception music but also instructed him to take song requests for the guests. Matt went above and beyond the call of the duty when we had a major slip up in having someone pick up the flowers and desserts in Kill Devil Hills the morning of the wedding. This was a 45-minute drive from our venue one way. On the day of the wedding, our wedding planner reached out to the DJ (without any of us knowing) to ask if he could pick them up on the way from the mainland. We had received the news just a few hours before the wedding that it is taken care of but we had no idea who was taking care of it. Matt Cooper came to our rescue and picked all of it up for us. He really didn't have to do that for us and it was really touching to see someone who you had just met care so much. Thank you Matt for saving us!!! You are the best and wish you many more happy years doing what you love!

I will just lay out the fact which I think will show how great Matt and Johnny are! Our wedding was scheduled for Oct 9th in Kill Devils hill at 5pm. Hurricane Matthew decided to crash the wedding that morning!! 1st - All week while other vendors called to either try to get us to reschedule, or 2 - Tell us flat out that they will not refund money if the place issues a evac, Matt called many times to gather our thinking. To tell me that they will be there on that day, or any day that week we reschedule, and if disaster happens and we just cant get it done, he will send us a full refund. The morning off the wedding (Which was to be in a beach house) although we had no power and some localized flooding - we still were going to go on. As vendor after vendor called to cancel, as family and friends couldnt make it, then the city issues a 7pm Curfew - Matt and Johnny's message was the same "We will be there whenever...". Having secured food and having a house full of people, we decided to go with the party / reception anyway. When I called to ask how long their battery pack would last, they responded with "We got a generator... See you tonight". They both showed up at the house -We hooked the generator up and we had lights and music and had the full reception (With our play list, first dance, etc...) in the middle of the hurricane with no power in the house!). These guys single handily saved the night!

Matt was seriously the best wedding DJ I've ever experienced. He was so accommodating throughout the whole planning process and put his own creative spin on the "musical vibe" that my husband and I provided to him. I can't even count all the compliments that we got from our guests who claimed that we had "the best music ever!" because Matt designed such a diverse set of songs for our cocktail hour and reception. He managed to play crowd favorites while making everyone happy and keeping the party going. And not to mention he's very laid-back and easy to work with. We HIGHLY recommend his services!!!

Matt was the DJ for our August 8th wedding at the NC aquarium and we were so very pleased. He was easy to work with both ahead of time and during the wedding. He honored our requests, checked in with us, and did a great job of reading the crowd. As an added bonus, he is very reasonably priced!

I needed to take the time to give Johnny a huge thank you for the great job he did as our DJ for my son's reception at the Hatteras Civic Center on Monday, August 8th, 2016. He kept our guests dancing the entire evening and he didn't miss a beat. Right song choices and just a great voice (if I am being honest) when he made the needed announcements and introductions. He was there early, dressed up, and stayed until the agreed time.

We booked Matt for our wedding in the 4x4 area of the Outer Banks, and he was absolutely wonderful!! He played exactly the music that we wanted played for every part of our wedding ceremony - the cocktail hour, dinner, cake cutting, first dances, etc. He even checked in with my now husband and I several times to ensure that the music volume was what we wanted. And he was so great to all of our wedding guests - he was more than happy to accommodate any requests that people had for music during the reception! We highly recommend Matt Cooper - he was wonderful!!

Matt was the perfect addition to our wedding! During the planning process, Matt was always quickly responding to emails and phone calls. He helped us plan all of our music from the ceremony, announcement songs, cocktail hour, dinner, and the reception. We had very specific song requests, and he happily played all of them! There was a thunderstorm in the middle of dinner, and Matt was able to accommodate and keep the party alive. He was open to all of our guests' requests and kept everyone on the dance floor all night long! We could not have been more happy to have such a fun and friendly DJ! Thanks, Matt!

Matt was awesome. He played all the right songs at all the right times, played every song requested, played to the crowd to keep the mood going just how it should as the evening progressed. I even had him stay an extra hour to keep the party going, it was such a good time! I wouldn't suggest anyone other than Matt for a classy, fun, amazing event. He kept in touch with me throughout the evening to be sure things were going smoothly, and there's not a thing I would've changed. I even want a play list of the evening to play at my leisure :)

My husband and I have been to many family and friends wedding recently and never have we seen so many guests on the dance floor dancing for such a long time as at our wedding at the Roanoke Island Aquarium in July 2015. We had about 140 guests at our wedding with a very wide range of ages and the dance floor was packed for the entire evening! We felt bad that we didn’t rent a larger dance floor but we never expected for all of our guests to dance all at once! Even though we have a 12x20 dance floor our guests were dancing next to the floor and by their tables. I had several guests ask me “Who selected all of these songs? They are great! What a variety!” Matt Cooper was the best DJ we have ever seen! He knew exactly what song to play and exactly the right time. Our guests had such an amazing time, several of them told me that our wedding was the best they have ever been to, which I would like to take some create for, but ultimately it was the music selection from Matt that kept the fun going all night long! Thank you Matt for making our wedding a blast!

I don't think I've ever been to a wedding where so many people gushed about the music, even weddings with live bands (!!), as was the case at our wedding and OBXMM. From the cocktail hour through to the last wild hour of dancing, Matt kept the vibe of the reception perfectly on point with his music selection and flow. He took song requests from our kooky guests in stride, and worked with me before the wedding week to create a list of songs I really wanted played (and ones we definitely did NOT want played). The dance floor was PACKED the entire night, and he even brought party lights to really set the mood once dinner/formalities were over. One of the best decisions we made for our nuptials, by far.

LOVE these guys! Matt helped me from the beginning. My husband was deployed and we had to push our wedding back a whole year and Matt kept in touch the whole time. He was already booked for our new date, so Johnny stepped in and did an AMAZING job! Super professional and took care of both my ceremony music and reception. DJ Matt was SO AWESOME to work with! Not only did he play the best music and took a lot of recommendations and our style into account but he made the wedding run smoothly! He was so fun and kept everyone on the dance floor!! Young and old people alike were on the dance floor the whole night! He had multiple phone calls with us prior to the wedding and helped us choose all the music. He even helped us edit a part of our first dance song at no extra charge! Matt from Outer Banks Music Masters did an outstanding job for us. At our first meeting, a year before our wedding, he asked me what type of a DJ I was looking for - one who took center stage or one who provided more of a background to the event. I said that I wanted someone who was more laid back and that is exactly what Matt provided. However, his background definitely provided the party vibe that we wanted for our wedding. Matt played all of our requests and kept the dance floor filled all night long. He even stayed for an extra hour, turned his speakers to the outside and helped to turn our dance party into a pool party at the end of the night. I have been to weddings where the whole night seemed to be a stand up performance by the DJ. This was not what we wanted and not what Matt gave to us. His professional performance made the night about us and about our family and friends. We truly appreciate the great job he did for us.

Matt Cooper was a great dj and really kept the energy up all night! He was a great mc and made the flow of different parts of the night seamless. We had Johnny as our DJ (for our ceremony and reception) and he was absolutely amazing! He was extremely easy to work with and made sure had a dance party going the whole night. Matt was the best DJ I could imagine. He made a mash-up for my father daughter dance per my request that everyone got a kick out of. He cut down songs for me and allowed me to have each of my bridesmaids/groomsmen walk in to a different song. He immediately played any songs I requested including songs that he did not have on hand, he found them online just for us. Everyone at the wedding had such a blast dancing all night thanks to Matt!

Actually they just recently did two wedding receptions for us. Matt and Johnny were outstanding. Kept the group involved. Excellent. Would recommend them unquestionably. They both worked extremely well with the wedding coordinator to keep on the timeline. Great guys. My husband and I really enjoyed having Matt DJ our wedding. He was always very flexible when we had to meet locally to discuss timelines, music choices, etc. He was within our budget, and always showed professionalism. Each time we met, he had an organized binder, business cards and a company polo on. He listened to what we said, and was always sure of pronunciations of names, which was important to me! The wedding day was a hit, and a lot of people complimented us on how fun the DJ and music was. One thing I would like to point out about Matt is the amount of effort he puts forth to make his clients happy. If he didn't already have a song that we were looking for, he made sure he found the exact song/clip for us. There was no limit to what we wanted to play at our wedding and he made sure to do his best with accommodating each request we had (always with success). Matt worked very well with our other vendors, and all of our other vendors have heard of him and worked with him in the past. Overall, we had a great group working to make our day the best day of our lives, which it was! I would recommend Matt to DJ your wedding or upcoming event!

Matt was fantastic! Music is vital to the success of a wedding, particularly the reception, and Outer Banks Music Masters did not disappoint! My now husband and I planned the entire wedding from MD so doing this long distance can really add stress but working with Matt was easy and took that worry off my plate. We came down earlier this year to conduct interviews and Matt came out and met with us. He was very laid back which was nice and he wasn't trying to sell himself. We appreciated that and hired him. His prices were very reasonable compared to other local DJs as well.

He really understood what pieces of that day were most important to us and made sure to get them right by working closely with us. He offered suggestions and ideas. He also worked to make sure all was in order before the big day. We talked the week of the big day to run through the important details of the wedding day and he even called the day before the wedding to make sure nothing had changed! I really appreciated that extra step and it saved me a call because something had changed!

The dance floor was never empty and all we have heard was how much fun our wedding was. I know Matt had a lot to do with that and we are so grateful for it. Thanks for making our day stress-free and so much fun for us and our guests!

I had so many things to stress over by planning a wedding in 5 months while in school but choosing Matt from OBX Music Masters was not one of them. I was on the way to get my nails done two days before and he called me just to check in! He made himself readily available for our event and was so easy to work with. He edited our first dance song perfectly and easily adjusted to timeline changes that day like the pro he is! He is sincere and not the type that steals the show - no one noticed "him" but everyone kept telling us what a wonderful DJ we have!

We cannot be more thankful. Brides that are planning a wedding in OBX, especially destination type, choose Matt and you will not regret it for a second. I hope I can comfort you in this review. Just book him, he will be the best and easiest decision you will make throughout your planning process.

Everyone notices mistakes but we can truly say that Matt did not make ANY. He was seamless in every transition that day despite multiple adjustments for random weather etc. He triple checked wedding party pronounciations beforehand. We had dancing on the outdoor deck under the stars and he rocked it the whole evening even with a few passing rain showers! He said to me "What rain!?" with a smile on his face!!

He played every single song we wanted and read my mind on all the other songs throughout the night. He kept everyone on the dance floor and played perfect choices during dinner, cocktail hour and at our ceremony.

He also mic'ed my groom invisibly for the ceremony so that our audience could hear both our vows & ring exchange during really windy conditions.

Hands down, best DJ ever !!

Matt at Outer Banks Music Masters was amazing!! He was recently the DJ for our wedding in Corolla on June 18th 2013. He was super flexible and relaxed. We got tons of compliments on the music. He did a great job of catering to the mix of guests we had in attendance and stuck to our play/do not play list. I contracted Matt when I lived across the country so I had only skyped with him when I met him at the wedding. He comes off as super laid back and young, which is the vibe we wanted. At the wedding, he was professionally dressed, on time, and knew how to handle drunk guests and song requests from my 'no' list. I spent so much time picking music and I only remember hearing a couple song...honestly the day goes by so quickly and there's so much going on. I almost wish my reception was longer so I could have danced more.

I wish I could give Matt a 6 for flexibility. I wanted him to play my ceremony music as well which was overruled by my mom's decision to have live music. Matt was very nice about all the changes up until the last minute.

We were very pleased with Matt for our wedding DJ. He was easy to work with leading up to the date, provided us with a nice outline to follow and he made sure to ask all the right questions. Out of all our vendors at the wedding, including our catering company, Matt was the best to work with throughout the evening and knew how to go with the flow when the schedule changed. We did not want to hire a wedding planner and Matt was fine working directly with myself and my dad and made sure to touch base with us if he had any concerns.

We ended up keeping him for another hour because everyone was having so much fun dancing. Thank you Matt!

Matt Cooper at OBX Music Masters is a terrific wedding DJ!! My husband and I met with him only once before the wedding, and he was really chill, very easy to get along with. We gave him very little direction about the music we wanted to play for the bulk of our reception (only the key songs were given) and he rocked it! We didn't want to have a "do not play list" only an "avoid as long as no one requests it" list, and he was sure to check with myself or my hubby before playing anything that was on the "avoid" list just to be sure we were cool with it. And all of our requests were played! Our friends and family (who are NOT dancers!) were tearing up the dance floor for the entire reception!! They didn't want to leave when we had to play the last song, all thanks to Matt's awesome DJing skills! Services were reasonably priced and execution was perfect. I would highly recommend Outer Banks Music Masters to anyone!!

We spoke on the phone a few times regarding what we wanted for the reception, must-play and must-not play lists, etc. He was perfect!!!!!! Matt with Outer Banks Music Masters did an awesome job at our wedding. He played such a great variety of music for our wide age range of guests. He p,ayes many of the songs that we had asked him to play, and many extra songs that kept the crowd dancing all night. Needless to say, I did not leave he dance floor all night!

What a fabulous time!! Johnny was the DJ for my brothers wedding in Corolla and he was right on target in terms of the type music we wanted! It was a small wedding but full of energy and the DJ made this happen. A group of us are big time dancers and we felt we were at a club back in boston or vegas....thank you so much!!

We were married on May 12, 2012 and were lucky enough to have Matt Cooper as our DJ. Matt met with us in March while we were in town, and asked a ton of great questions to get a sense of what type of music would work best for our wedding. We couldn’t have been happier with the music he selected. As the bride, I blame him for not letting me mingle with our guests because I could NOT tear myself off the dance floor….but I guess that’s a good problem to have. We had guests on the dance floor at the beginning of dinner, which you know is the sign of a great DJ.

We gave him a few “must plays” for the evening, and he played every one of them. He was also very flexible with the timeline of events, especially when we told him that there would be a few extra speeches that night. We were making decisions on certain special songs up until the day before, and he handled it like a pro. He even edited our entrance song for us, so that it was only instrumental.

Most of all, we really appreciated that Matt wasn’t the type of DJ that had to be the star of the show, and is genuinely a nice guy. He was great to work with and we would highly recommend him for anyone planning a wedding or special event.

Working with Matt of Outer Banks Music Masters was a great experience. He was really informative on our initial called and encouraged me to speak with other vendors to be sure we found the 'right' fit for our wedding. We found Matt very easy to work with. We gave him a brief list of requests, and he chose the rest of our music based on the crowd. During our wedding, Matt came over to check with us on the volume and style of music to be sure we were liking it. Overall a very good experience with a vendor that caused us no stress and enhanced the fun ato our reception.

Matt was the perfect blend of easy going and professional. Communication was efficient via phone and email. He honored our requests and had everyone dancing from the get go. Guests frequently complimented the music during and after the reception. Matt's song choices were right on point. We could have easily kept the party going into the wee hours. We recently had our wedding in Duck, NC and used Matt Cooper with Music Masters. Matt was great throughout the entire wedding planning process. He was very patient with my multiple song changes and noted every change to the timeline. On the day of the wedding, everything was perfect. Matt made sure all of our guests were having fun and everything ran smoothly. At the end of the night, he was very flexible and stayed an extra hour. All of the music was great and I can't say enough good things about Matt. I would highly recommend hiring Music Masters for your event!

Matt was awesome! Totally low key, efficient and professional in our advance coordination. Then flexible and spot on during our reception. The music he played was PERFECT and SUPER fun! For us, it was a mix of 80's, country and disco! (at our request, though he made it work so much better than we could have imagined) He played a couple of songs that I didn't think to ask for but were perfect! When it was too cold to have our reception outdoors (after he had already set up outdoors), he moved his whole set-up indoors and kept everyone - especially my nieces and nephews - dancing all night. He facilitated toasts subtlely and made it effortless for people to come up when the spirit moved them. So thankful we hired Matt!

Matt was so awesome! He really made our wedding fun. I gave Matt quite a long list of songs that I wanted him to play, and he made sure they all got mixed in. He even went as far as to play a song that I made at home for me & my dad to dance to! When things got slow he even suggested something fun for everyone to do to get everyone back dancing on the floor, which worked & it was tons of fun. If you hire Matt - he will keep your party going, and trust me you will not be disapointed!!

He found all the music we wanted. I was concerned about having 2 main groups of people- the younger 20-30 y/o and the older 60-80y/o.His play list got everyone up and dancing.

Matt was great to work with. We had emailed a list of the songs that we definitely wanted played during the cocktail hour and during the reception. He played all of those songs plus tons of other great music that had everyone dancing all night long. He was very reasonable, professional, and enthusiastic. He made all of the necessary announcements when needed and didn't spend all night talking to the crowd like some DJ's we have seen at other weddings. We could not have been more pleased. We had so many compliments on the job that he did along with all of the great music he played. You will not be disappointed if you book him for your wedding. We highly recommend him.

Matt was awesome to work with. He captured exactly what we were hoping to achieve and made our guests happy with the mix of music. He was very conscious of time and worked with my event coordinator to keep the evening moving along. His choice of music was perfect - a mix between cocktail hour 50's music, to beach themed music, to excellent current music choices and kept with my requests for nothing obnoxious. Matt was wonderful! He is very chill, professional, went by our song list and appropriately improvised as needed (if the songs werent on our list, he made sure it fit the mood). He's also very good at reading the crowd. He makes sure to stick by the timeline and isnt cheesy at all. I would definitely recommend him to any OBX bride.

My husband and I just got married last week and we can't thank Matt and Johnny at OBX music masters enough. Johnny was professional throughout the entire process leading up to the wedding day. We spoke on the phone, and exchanged several emails leading up to the wedding.

We had guests ranging from 80 to 21 years of age, from all over the country, and got multiple compliments on the music from both young and old. Both Matt and Johnny were easy to work with, very flexible, and gave us exactly what we asked for. They started off with old classics during dinner, and kept everyone dancing the entire time once dinner was over. We had a great time.

My advice would be to give them an idea of what type of vibe you want (relaxed vs high energy/dance party vs a combination of the two) and just get out of the way and let them do their job, they clearly know what they are doing.

Matt was absolutely awesome before and at our wedding. He was great to prepare with us for everything, helped us by providing a spreadsheet for the songs that we needed for each event. He even reminded me about the 'do not play' list which I completely forgot about. I was worried about the volume of the music since we got married on the beach but I could hear it over the ocean and it was amazing. Everyone at the wedding raved about the variation of music that was played and how nice Matt was when people asked for songs. I was also really happy that the songs were the edited versions for my family, especially my grandparents.

Great! We had very little communication through the planning process but we got caught up in different things. Matt did a great job with only a couple weeks to plan our music. He was very flexible. He hit all of our music interest to a T. Thanks!

We used Matt at Outer Banks Music Master for our ceremony music and for our reception music. He was AWESOME. Very good emcee, very laid back, professional and announced all the reception activities just as we planned it. I didn't get the pleasure of meeting Matt before my wedding, but he called me a couple times personally to set up music selections which impressed me.

Matt kept the party going!

It’s been 3 months and we’re still being told by family and friends how much fun they had at our wedding. Those compliments are a complete testament to Matt keeping the party going all night long!!! We had a wedding of 136 guests, all mostly under the age of 30. The dance floor was NEVER empty.

Matt was great to work with. We booked him far in advance and he never pressured us to get him lists of songs or details too early (I think he knew we were dealing with more stressful things). When it was time to talk about those details he was very responsive. There were a number of obscure songs I wanted played during the cocktail hour that he didn't have and he was very open to me just sending him digital files. He was professional (yet fun) when announcing things on the mic during the reception as well. We only had a few song choices for the dancing but he really read the crowd perfectly and knew just what to play. It was a great evening.
