Absolutely Amazing!

When we started planning our wedding, we didn’t realize how important it was to have a good DJ, and so, we are SO happy to have had Cindy as our DJ — she was absolutely perfect! Not only were Cindy and Barry a stellar DJ combo who kept the dance floor at our wedding fun and full all night, Cindy was amazing to work with every step of the way. First, she was able to work with us to move our wedding date when we had to postpone our 2020 wedding due to COVID. Then, she took the time to meet with us in person and over the phone several times and, she not only helped us plan the music for our ceremony and reception, she also helped us to understand and plan our entire wedding day; it was like having a second wedding planner and it was incredibly helpful. On our wedding day, she checked in with us often and really helped to make sure that all aspects of our wedding ran smoothly. Cindy was positive and professional throughout the entire process; she listened to what we wanted and then worked with that to make our wedding day special and perfect for us. We highly recommend her!

Amazing quality!!

Ormond Entertainment gave us all we wanted and MORE! Our wedding was just a few weeks ago. I originally went with Cindy because she DJ'd my brother's went years ago and I knew I had to have her for ours. It was like no wedding we had ever been to before and I couldn't imagine not having Ormond Entertainment on my special day. Cindy takes time to meet with you in person, as well as many phone calls to get plans moving. She is extremely professional, yet fun, understanding of our wants and needs, and truly treats you like family. She is extremely creative and helps you come up with fun, original ideas. Add to that we ended up postponing our original wedding date because of COVID, and she was still willing to work with us, be empathetic with us, and as a business, she never charged us more money due to the circumstances. If anything, our relationship grew closer. Cindy and & Barry are truly phenomenal. I never felt worried about anything, because I knew everyone and everything regarding our day was in the best hands possible. They made our wedding everything we wanted and contributed to the success of our celebration. Add to that, they are truly just good people and easy to work with!! They really want what's best for you. Everyone enjoyed the unique introductions of the bridal party. This is a really special thing that no one else does!! If you're deciding on a DJ for your wedding, look no further than Ormond Entertainment. They are worth every penny!!

Great Experience!

Working with Cindy was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We started planning pre-Covid and with new guidelines and restrictions, she helped us through many changes finding solutions and fun alternatives to keep our wedding entertaining and very personal to us. This definitely is not a "one-size fits all" service, Cindy took the time to get to know us, our style and tastes, and really created the perfect atmosphere.

The Absolute Best

Where do I even begin?! When my fiance and I were first planning our wedding we knew the DJ had to be the best of the best. We did extensive research on many DJ's- dissecting the reviews, looking them up on social media, and asking around. When we found Ormond Entertainment, we were instantly drawn. We reached out immediately- based on reviews alone! The second we spoke to Cindy on the phone, we knew this DJ duo was for us. Cindy took the time to talk to us, get to know us, hear us and listen to what we wanted. The planning process was incredible! Based on that alone, we knew this was going to be one of the best decisions we made! The day of the wedding was incredible. Cindy and Barry rocked our world, and the worlds of our guests! We received DOZENS (yes, DOZENS) of compliments that I happily shared with them. We were told numerous times that people have never experienced DJs quite like this before. Everything they did was well planned and thought out. They made us laugh, they mad us happy, they made us want more! They kept the crowd on their feet and the music was perfect. Cindy acted as our coordinator for the important reception events (cake cutting, first dances, introductions, gathering of groups for photos). She checked in with my husband and I often. I cannot put into words how Cindy and Barry of Ormond Entertainment made our special day even more special. I will recommend them to anyone, with every ounce of my heart!

I do not have enough amazing words to say about Cindy. From our very first meeting, she was so understanding and accommodating. She was sure to let us know that she would do or at least try to make everything that we wanted, happen. My favorite part of the night were the bridesmaid/groomsmen introductions. They were so different from any wedding that we had been to and all of our guests loved it and laughed hysterically. She really puts her all into her job and it made our reception perfect.

Hired Cindy and Barry last second, a few months before our wedding. We were incredibly lucky in that Ormond Entertainment had availability for that day. They were so informative, helping us every step of the way and listened to everything we had requested. Everyone left the reception talking about how great the music was, and how amazing Cindy was at being an MC for our evening. Barry and Cindy made it truly one of the best days of our lives. I would completely recommend them to anyone and everyone as they are totally worth the price!

It was love at first sight with Cindy!!! She is the most fun, energetic, creative and accommodating vendor we worked with! She was incredibly thorough during our planning sessions and was constantly sending emails with ideas and questions that ended up taking our reception to the next level. She even acts as a wedding-day event planner! Seriously, that was so amazingly helpful! The Hollywood-style photo booth was INSANE!!! Our guests loved it and we highly recommend it.

I would choose Cindy and the team at Ormond Entertainment over and over again. Choose them...you will not be disappointed!!!

Where to start? Cindy is more than just a DJ. She loves her job and values every ounce of trust and responsibility you extend to her when booking your wedding. They traveled to Rochester NY from Syracuse and were very familiar with the venue. Cindy brought creativity, energy, flow, smiles and fun into every aspect of our reception. You will have many meetings and phone calls with Cindy and/or Barry regarding the plans for your special day. You will receive a detailed booklet to read and fill out about your family, wedding party and yourselves. Beginning to not sound like and average DJ right? She's not. Every little detail is discussed, planned and executed to perfection. We did custom intros, custom transitions, planned surprises, all from the help of Cindy. She is a pro.

We had ZERO stress on our day, everything that was planned was taken care of by Cindy. Your parents will not have a worry in the world... once your reception starts and Cindy is your DJ, you've made it... time to party and celebrate.

Thank you Cindy, we wish we could do it over and over again. You made our day extra special and most beautiful celebration. We feel so grateful to have celebrated with you. We cannot thank you enough!!!

Cindy from Ormond Entertainment came highly recommended to me by two other vendors in the industry. When I first met with her I was very pleased with how serious she took her work. My husband and I have crazy work schedules but Cindy was able to accommodate us throughout the planning process. Cindy also put my mind at ease when she assisted my bridal party at the rehearsal, which I highly recommend!! Cindy took the time to learn everyone's name in my wedding party which was important. Cindy and her partner Barry are top notch! They provide more than the "typical" DJ services, really getting to know the couple and serving as excellent emcees for the evening. They are the utmost professionals, and a great team for those couples who really like to make sure all of the details are attended to. Cindy is so much more than your typical DJ. She helped us plan out every little detail for our May 2016 wedding that we didn't even think of. She took my mind off of the stress and we enjoyed our special day worry free! Every time we met with her she made us even more excited than we already were. She is a true professional! Cindy and Barry helped us mix and execute the perfect surprise first dance. My grandpa said that was one of the best parts of the whole wedding. They also do a unique introduction to the wedding party that had everyone laughing! I loved their take on the typical anniversary dance. It worked out better for us. She really took our music choices seriously and we had some of the most amazing moments with our friends and family because of them. I can't say enough about how they made our wedding so true to us! We hired Cindy and Barry for our wedding at the Thousand Islands Harbor Hotel on 5/28/16 and I am thrilled that we did! Cindy is extremely professional and plans for every little detail you could possibly think of- I was so impressed. Cindy not only handles the entertainment, but helps coordinate the entire day. She makes sure everyone is exactly where they need to be at all times, from bridal party to the vendors. Cindy and Barry's in depth introductions for each person in the bridal party was a great way for the entire ballroom to get to know them. The night flowed seamlessly and exactly how the groom and I requested it go. And of course the music lights were amazing! Thank you for a once and a lifetime party!

Cindy & Barry were fantastic! The dance floor was full all night at our reception and weeks after the wedding we are still getting compliments on the music and hearing how much our friends danced! Also, our meetings with Cindy prior to the event left us feeling confident we had made the right choice on a wedding DJ. She was organized, accommodating, flexible and her experience in the field was evident. She helped us make several decisions regarding the flow of the event due to her knowledge and experience. The advice I would give to a couple looking to have Ormond Entertainment as their DJ for the biggest night of their life? Go big or go home! Cindy is not only the best DJ I've ever heard at a wedding, but she will guide you with your wedding planning along the way. My Husband and I were never in a lot of weddings and had no idea where to start and Cindy was a HUGE help! We met with her a couple times and she asked for every detail of our wedding so that she could make sure it was going as planned. Cindy ALSO called my parents and my Matron of Honor to make sure everyone was set and didn't have questions. I never gave Cindy a list to play at the wedding, but she learned what we liked and didn't like just by telling her about our lives. Cindy and Barry kept the dance floor hopping during the entire reception! We asked our guests later that night what they thought about Ormond Entertainment and they all had the same opinion....they ARE the BEST of the BEST!! Thank you Cindy and Barry! From the very beginning, Ormond Entertainment took the time to get to know us and our wedding party. We chose them because we have heard fantastic reviews from family and friends. We used Ormond Entertainment for our wedding and could not be happier with the decision. Our wedding was so much fun and we have to send a BIG Thank You to Cindy and Barry at Ormond. My husband and I had three major criteria that we had to have at our wedding; and that was good music, entertainment, & food! We worked most closely with Cindy throughout the planning process but both Cindy and Barry executed to perfection the night of our wedding. We received exceptional service from our very first meeting with Cindy. We lived about 4.5 hours from our wedding venue, and Cindy was very flexible in making herself available to us when we were in town visiting family, as well as on the phone & email. What truly drove our decision to choose Ormond was Cindy's passion and professionalism, she made the process so easy and also entertaining as we shared a few laughs throughout the planning process. Not only that, Cindy is thorough and ensured that no detail was missed. We knew we needed a great DJ to ensure folks got on the dance floor and I distinctly remember song choices by Barry and Cindy to get people on the dance floor and to keep them there. Our dance floor was filled the entire night and that was exactly the type of party atmosphere we wanted at our wedding. We also got the photo booth for fun and silly pictures that turned into an awesome album! Ormond Entertainment was truly worth having at our wedding and we would highly recommend them to others. We had heard feedback from friends and family that attended our wedding, that was along the lines of the best party they have been to in a long while - and we owe that all to Ormond Entertainment!

Ormond Entertainment is unquestionably the best DJ service in the area. We had an idea what to expect from them from past events, and we got all that and more at our wedding. We couldn't recommend them more, but specifically you'd be hard pressed to find a better option If you're having a non-traditional, ceremony/reception. The service they provide is far more than a standard wedding/event DJ. If necessary, Cindy will become almost like a secondary wedding planner in the sense that she can take a very loose and poorly planned situation and bring it the structure it needs to become an actual event. Not once did she push us into something we didn't want to do.

You'll meet with Cindy multiple times and go over EVERY detail until it's optimized. She will MC your reception and create a grand entrance for you and your wedding party. It's customized as she takes notes about everyone involved. She moves the event through all the key moments, special dances/cake cutting etc. We cannot stress enough how high the level of your reception will be raised.

Ormond Entertainment definitely helped to make our wedding day memorable and one of the most special days in our lives. We can't say enough good things about them, and we highly recommend them to anyone who plans on getting married!

Ormond Entertainment was the company we hired for my daughter's wedding. Cindy Ormond was professional, conscientious, and attentive to detail far beyond our expectations. Many of the guests commented on her excellent handling of the event from beginning to end. Cindy was extremely professional from the first time we spoke. Her organization and communication made her and the Ormond team very easy to work with leading up to our wedding. My husband and I were also quite particular with the “flow” of our wedding -- we wanted it to be structured, but organic, and when it came to the wedding day, their team hit the ball out of the park. Not to mention, the song selections that they chose from our huge list of suggested songs was spot on. Cindy and Barry from Ormond Entertainment are absolutely amazing! I couldn't have imagined any other company providing as much fun and laughter to our wedding day. From Cindy's hilarious wedding party introductions, to Barry's awesome DJing skills, everyone at our wedding was having a phenomenal time. So many of our guests have commented on how great Cindy was and how much fun they had dancing. The photo booth was another amazing element! I can seriously not say enough about how amazing Ormond Entertainment is. After seeing them in action at my best friend's wedding I knew that when I got married they had to be in charge of the entertainment. We were not disappointed!! Cindy is there from day 1 helping to organize and coordinate so much more than just the music. From start to finish she was there to provide support, advice, and truly got to know us as a couple and our unique story. Ormond Entertainment is the BEST DJ in Syracuse. Please, never ever look at the price. There is a saying, and for weddings it is 100% true. You get what you pay for. Not only did I get what I paid for- I got MORE than I paid for. Cindy and Barry are the most professional and wonderful people I have ever had a chance to work with. Choosing Cindy and Barry of Ormond Entertainment was the answer to our prayers. My husband and I had been to several weddings prior to planning our daughter's Aug 2nd wedding and just could not find what we needed. It was hard to find a DJ that MC'd well. However, their performance at a friend's wedding was AMAZING and my daughter and fiancé loved them when they saw them in action. Cindy worked on coordinating all the music, step-by step wedding reception schedule and some special family traditions to put together a fantastic party!!! The bride and groom loved working with them because all their music wants (and not wants!) were carefully discussed in thorough discussion meetings. Cindy and Barry also put together a very fun and unique bridal party introduction! They also discussed the day's activities with the wedding coordinator, photographer and US, so we were all informed of what was going on!!! As the hosts, we were relieved that Cindy was there to keep things going and on schedule! We had no worries and HIGHLY recommend Ormond Entertainment to any and all future wedding couples. Working with Ormond was an absolute pleasure! From the beginning, Cindy was responsive to emails and very helpful with the planning process. When we met with her to plan the structure of the reception, it was clear that she has a wealth of knowledge related to her field as she was able to help us plan exactly what we wanted. More importantly: She listened to how we wanted our wedding to go and made it happen! She went above and beyond, getting in touch with our other vendors and planning things ahead of time to make sure the wedding went smoothly.

On the wedding day itself things ran very smoothly. And the best part- our friends and family danced all night long! Throughout the night we had guests compliment the music and ask for the DJ's playlist. Everyone told us it was the most fun they ever had at a wedding! We are so unbelievably happy with the work Cindy did and would absolutely recommend Ormond to everyone!

I'm writing this review just to highlight the outstanding customer service that Ormond Entertainment provided me. I contacted them after reading the awesome reviews on WeddingWire in hopes that they would be available. Cindy responded right away to tell me they were booked, but then proceeded to go out of her way to research DJs in the area that were available on my date and emailed me with all of their information. With her help and insight, I was able to book someone else.

My fiancé is in the military and I have to plan our wedding in a very short time, with most vendors being unavailable. I've been looking for DJs for about a month nonstop, and in my experience many of DJ services won't even respond to your inquiry if they are booked. Ormond Entertainment was the best decision we made when choosing vendors for our wedding. Ormond Entertainment is so much more than your standard issue DJ service- it’s difficult to even put them in that category. The time invested in getting to know us was incredible; it was a very personal experience. My husband and I, along with our family, cannot stop singing their praises! Ormond Entertainment was devoted to making our wedding flawless- and that was accomplished! They gave life to our wedding in a way that we’ve never seen an entertainment service do. Their use of technology, skills, experience, humor, and refreshing personalities made our wedding perfect. I’ve never seem my family have that much fun- everyone was dancing, even my 79 year old grandmother who had hip surgery only weeks before, was out on the dance floor breaking it down! Ormond Entertainment was the best and only choice!

My experience with Ormond Entertainment extends from 3 different occasions; as the bride and groom, parents of the groom and guests at a family member's wedding.
My stepson and his lovely bride were married just this past summer and it was an honor to have Ormond Entertainment DJ their wedding.The DJ's had a constant flow of people on the dance floor at any given time and played music to suite all generations.It was such a pleasure to see all the smiles on the guests faces, singing along to whatever song was playing and watching everyone doing their fancy footwork and the dance floor.
A few years ago we were guests at our niece's wedding and were estatic to see that Ormond Entertainment would be DJing the wedding.They certainly know how to put on a fantastic show so to speak.To see family and our niece's and her husband's friends just having a great time was very heart warming.
My husband and I were married on October 5, 2002 and I cannot say enough about the professionalism about Ormond Entertainment.Our DJ was beyond fantastic, he played songs from the playlist we submitted to him and played songs from different decades that would suit our guests.My husband and I cannot recall a time during our reception where the dance floor was empty, he just kept the music playing which kept our guests dancing.11 years later we still have family and friends who were at our wedding still talk about what a great time they had at the reception and what a phenomenal DJ we had..always brings a smile to my face. Ormond Entertainment had such an impact on our family and friends all those years ago and our guests left our reception with fond memories to last them a lifetime that is just amazing.
If the opportunity presents itself again we definitely would use Ormond Entertainment, I cannot think of anyone else we would want to use for our music needs than them. We would highly recommend them for whatever your occassion may be, you won't be disappointed.

We LOVED working with Cindy while organizing our ceremony and reception! She is very knowledgeable and helpful with creating the best wedding. Many guests commented on how personable she was and how great it was that she guided us and the guests along from one event to another (photos, food, remarks, cake...) with some stories about us along the way. She's not someone who just plays music. She takes the time to go above and beyond, get to know you, and entertain your guests appropriately. She and the other DJ did a fantastic job keeping us on schedule and even helping bus tables! Also, having Cindy there for the rehearsal was a very good idea. Thanks so much Ormond Entertainment!!

Ormond Entertainment was outstanding, and we are so glad we booked them for our July 2013 wedding! From our very first conversation with Ormond it was clear that they love what they do and it certainly showed on our wedding day. They genuinely want your day to be as special as possible and they go the extra step to make that happen. Our guests loved the personalization of "our story" and the heartfelt way in which it was presented. We all spent the evening dancing to a fantastic music selection that we didn't want to end! Ormond helped to make our day so memorable and we would recommend them to anyone without reservation. Fantastic!

Great DJ who definitelly is not an amateur. Cindy showed professionalism in dealing with all the vendors and making sure that everyone was a team and in sync. I have seen several good and bad DJ's in the 16 years I have been in the industry and Cindy is definitely in the top tier of Dj's who I feel most strongly represent the desire to make absolutely sure the bride, groom and their guests are entertained, happy , and care-free throughout the day.

Your wedding is only as great as the vendors that you hire and we definitely had a great team on our side. Hiring Ormond Entertainment was our best decision. Cindy was absolutely phenomenal! She was much more than just a DJ--she was like a day of coordinator.
She kept me informed of the delays that were happening but not in a way that seemed panicked or made me panic, rather she would just let me know that the food service was moving slower than expected so she changed the order of the events to keep things moving and keep the guests occupied while waiting.
Cindy has all of her couples do "homework" which really makes it feel like someone who has known you forever is your DJ. She introduced our wedding party and parents with the information she gathered from our "homework" which added a really nice, personal touch. We knew what we wanted and what we didn’t want and they honored our every request.
Cindy and her team kept everything flowing perfectly, kept our guests entertained, and had everyone on the dance floor. Our dance floor was beyond full—people were dancing in the grassy areas all around it. My husband and I were able to fully enjoy our day because we knew we were in good hands. Months later people are still raving about what an awesome wedding we had and we owe so much of that to Cindy and her team. Ormond Entertainment is truly the best dj out there and I would recommend them to anyone!

I really don't have enough good things to say about Ormond Entertainment. They did such a fantastic job, many of our friends that will soon be married asked about them during the wedding reception. They came up with the most creative way to introduce our wedding party, everyone at the wedding loved it! At first the "homework" seemed daunting, but it paid off in the end. Cindy and Roger had used that information to really get to know us as a couple and our friends and family, they then used this information to tailor our reception to truly reflect us. The result was a totally stress free reception that both my groom and myself were able to enjoy.

Cindy and Roger of Ormond Entertainment are, quite simply, FABULOUS at what they do!

My partner and I hired them for our wedding (September 2011) after a few phone conversations. We were so impressed by their in-depth knowledge of what is involved to run a wedding reception - beyond just the music. They talked about the pacing of a reception and what goes into making a reception fun and memorable for all the guests (and the wedding couple). In addition, we loved how personalized an approach they took and we knew that they would customize our reception just how we wanted (and, of course, no cookie cutter music sets, no "required" parts of the reception and certainly no cheesy songs or games). We also appreciated that both Cindy and Roger had significant prior experience at gay weddings.

Once we met both of them in person last Spring, we sat down and talked in more detail about the music for the reception. We had LOTS of unique and ecclectic music requests, but Roger and Cindy had no problems with this - they worked our music together in an amazing way. (We still - four months later - have guests talking about our cocktail hour music!) Also, they personalized the reception how we wanted and kept everything flowing seemlessly throughout. Our guests were up dancing, having fun and we had a blast through the whole time!

Cindy and Roger are a wonderful team who put together great music, have guests up dancing and coordinate all the details of a wedding reception. They were super easy to work with, had no problems with our somewhat unusual music selections and are - very importantly - nice, friendly, fun people!

Absolutely excellent! I can't say enough about Ormond Entertainment. We planned a wedding in New York from where we live in Florida. Cindy was excellent with the whole planning process, using Skype to meet face to face and keeping us informed with my family in New York as well. The event went off perfectly! In fact all of our guests raved about how smooth it went because of the fantastic direction of Ormond. Cindy added a "Love Story" where she told how we met, fell in love, and proposed...it had us and our guests in tears of laughter. :) I would strongly recommend any bride in the Central New York area take a look at Ormond Entertainment for their wedding.

Roger and Cindy are powerhouse DJs! They are so creative and energetic. We had Roger and as assistant for the big day and everything just flowed perfectly. Some of my playlist got lost in the shuffle, but the dance floor was always packed, so they were doing something right! They were insanely responsive and never batted an eye as I was emailing every other day with a music request :) Their prices are a little higher than most, but so worth it. Your DJ is basically the driving force behind your reception, so don't skimp! You pay for what you get...and Ormond is the best!

We hired Ormonds Entertainment for our daughters wedding. They were on a vendors list at our venue. What a surprise it was to see so much more than just great music. Ormonds added a personal touch to make my daughter and son-in-law ceremony and reception one of a kind and special to them and our guests. They brought so much detail and help that I could enjoy the day myself. My daughter and son-in-law live in Florida but that was not a problem for Ormonds. They interview thru email and skype. You must check out Ormonds to see for yourself and believe me everything they say they do... they do.

From the first day my wife and I met Cindy and Roger they were true professionals. Ormond Entertainment is not about the cookie cutter "DJ" format. Cindy and Roger took the time to get to know us as people and offered their opinions based on what they learned about us. At the reception Ormond Entertainment was amazing at keeping the attention of our guests and kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. Cindy put together a fun newlywed game that had all of our guests laughing hysterically. I can't say enough about Cindy and Roger. I would not recommend any other "DJ" service in the world. We were more then just clients to Cindy and Roger, we became friends. Aside from their dedication and passion for their craft treating people like people is what truly sets them apart from the rest.

Best decision I ever made!! They were amazing!! Kept people laughing and dancing all night! I could not have picked a better DJ. They knew our story, they coordinated with the other vendors and they played games to keep the guests involved. It was absolutely amazing service. Worth every penny!!

Ormond Entertainment helped me throw an incredible reception! We live out of town, so Cincy and I did a lot of emailing, phone calls and texts. She is so easy to work with and knew exactly what I was looking for. She also dj'ed for our rehearsal dinner, which our guests loved. They were very professional and full of ideas to help make the night go smoothly. My only complaint would be that we discussed our preference for music but I do not feel at the recepetion they played or preference of music. I still had a great time though and hardly noticed until I watched my wedding video and barely knew any songs playing throughout it.

Very disappointed!! Cindy was the only vendor involved in my wedding that I was not worried about and very excited to work with. One of my bridesmaids strongly recommended Ormond. The cocktail hour went off without a hitch. Moving from cockatil area to ballroom was behind about 20 minutes, with no fault to Cindy. During that stressful 20 minutes, Cindy acted very unprofessional and rude. The flowergirl began to cry because she did not want to walk out by herself and was told to "buck up" by Cindy. Cindy told the bridesmaids to leave my bustle half done while I was saying the opposite. During introductions of our bridal party, multiple things were said incorrectly despite having multiple meetings with her! The bridal party intros took over 22 minutes and then following a 7 minute story of our engagement, we finally had our first dance! I felt like we were losing the guests with such long winded intros. When dealing with a large bridal party and small children, I feel you need to have a plan B and C in case something does not go as planned!

Still extremely upset with my experience

I could go I to great detail, but switching my date Due to Covid I was asked for an additional $500 deposit on top of the already extremely high base pricing compared to anyone else in NY. Not adult wedding friendly (would not play songs with swear words or would only play radio edits I guess it’s okay if that’s your thing), then when I cancelled due to these issues and followed the cancellation policy in my contract, I was asked to sign yet another contract that gave me back $400 less than the original cancellation agreement in my contract. I have not received any kind of refund and my wedding took place September 3, 2021. I cancelled with Ormond entertainment back in May/June of 2020.
