Beautiful photos and Great person!
Olga is not only an amazing photographer but an awesome person to have around on your big day. While taking photos she will put you at ease with her cheerful personality and is able to direct you in a calm and reassuring manner, a very important quality for those of us that are not that comfortable in front of the camera. We met Olga because we won a free engagement shoot with her and ended up loving her photos and joyful personality so much we booked her for our wedding - and I am so glad we did! We have only gotten the sneak peeks back so far, but they are incredible. We have gotten so many compliments on our photos, as Olga has a great eye for light, texture and movement. I cannot recommend Olga highly enough! You will not regret going with her as your photographer. -

Wonderful Experience!
We had Olga take our engagement photos in Bethesda Row and they turned out beautiful! Olga took the time to scout the area beforehand to find the perfect spots. She was always aware where the sun light was and positioned us in flattering poses. She was professional throughout the shoot and with the follow up. Don’t hesitate to book her! -

UPDATE (6/2/21): Olga continues to be incredible and everything we could have ever dreamed of in a wedding photographer. She also took care of finding us a second photographer (Marcus), a videographer (Glenn), and live stream assistant (Matt) - all of whom were wonderful, professional, kind, and talented. We were able to do first look/couple photos around the Library of Congress and Supreme Court with Olga, Marcus, and Glenn and all three made it a fun and easy going experience that resulted in truly stunning photos. After the wedding (and the "engagement shoot") Olga sent us a "sneak peak" of the photos within just a few days! We are so grateful we found her and could not recommend her and her team enough!!!
ORIGINAL (7/12/20): Olga is AMAZING. We hired her for our wedding several months after we got engaged and were not intending to do an engagement shoot (my fiance does not love pictures haha). But after COVID forced us to postpone our wedding by 11 months, we decided that an engagement-style photo shoot on our would-be wedding date would be a great way to make a sweet memory on a tough date.
Olga was sweet, supportive, and flexible as we figured out details for a new date and added the extra photo session. She is down to earth and made both of us feel immediately at ease during the session. She was as excited as we were to get gorgeous photos at the Lincoln and then silly ones at GW (where we both graduated from).
I have always believed that engagement/wedding photos should radiate warmth and happiness and Olga has blown us away with her ability to capture our love in photos in a way that can't help but make you smile.
I cannot recommend Olga enough and am so excited to have her photograph our wedding next May! -

Olga and her crew are masters at what they do. They had to make instant decisions when it came to the sudden weather change and didn’t skip a beat. The pictures that she was able to take will last me a life time and I wouldn’t recommend any one else. Olga is respectful, fun, and experienced at her craft of wedding (and engagement) photography. She was professional with keeping in contact with the other vendors to understand the optimal schedule. She communicated in a clear and kind manner of what she recommended for the photo op, angles, etc. Look no further than Olga Gurton photography! -

Couldn't be happier with Olga
Olga is all around outstanding. I honestly didn't think much about pictures until I reviewed a few portfolios and realized it's a true art form. She manages to capture so many of those special moments and helps everyone looks awesome. Olga is a true pro with her timely communication, punctuality, and making everyone have a good time with the pics. We couldn't be happier with our pictures. Easy decision people! Olga was an absolute delight and a pleasure to work with when we hired her for our engagement photos! Every communication we had was reassuring, professional, and could tell there was a lot of care and understanding with what we were looking for. On the day of the shoot, Olga put us both at ease and gave great direction for the various shots. You could clearly tell there was a lot of attention to detail when it came to capturing the right shots. When we received a sneak peek of the photos we were blown away with how beautiful they were! All the photos came out STUNNING and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We can't thank you enough! -

I cannot exaggerate how much I recommend Olga! As a vendor, she is professional, quick to respond, flexible and above all an amazing photographer! We used her for our engagement photos and she was also supposed to do our wedding photos for our May wedding, which had to be postponed because of COVID 19, and worked with us to switch our date to September without hesitation. When we learned we had to postpone, my husband and I still decided that we wanted to get married on our original date and she went above and beyond to come and take pictures of our small ceremony (taking covid 19 precautions). My mother who is hard to impress was very impressed with her work ethic even for such a small, last minute vow ceremony. She worked tirelessly for the whole time and captured all of our favorite moments in amazing quality photos. I almost forgot I had to do my hair and make up myself since all the salons were still closed, that’s how amazing the photos turned out. I can’t wait to have her at our 2nd wedding in September! -

Olga truly was one of my favorite parts of our wedding. She was always willing to go the extra mile to get the photos we wanted and had great ideas for others. She handled our rowdy group very well and you can tell she loves what she does. My only regret is that I booked Olga through a third party vendor and I wish I went directly to her. All of our guests and family members raved about our photos and how great Olga was all day. -

Olga was such a pleasure to work with for our wedding. She was very responsive and had user-friendly online forms to fill out to go over all our preferences beforehand. She offered lots of in-person meetings, but my husband and I have conflicting work schedules so we really appreciated being able to do almost all the planning remotely. She also scoped out our venue beforehand, arrived early the day of, coordinated calmly and efficiently when my bridesmaids and I arrived to the venue 30 minutes later than expected, and even stayed late at the end. My husband and I did a first look, at her recommendation, and it was such a great decision. Despite my bridesmaids and I arriving late, she was able to get in the first look, wedding party, and almost all family pictures before our ceremony. We were so happy with her coordination on the wedding day, but the biggest surprise came just 3 days later, when she sent us a preview of about 20 touched-up pictures from the wedding. We couldn't believe we were able to see any that quickly! They were absolutely beautiful and we definitely recommend working with Olga! -

Alicia Sent on 08/15/2018We hired Ms. Gurton for both our engagement photos and for our wedding. Our wedding hasn't taken place yet, but based off the wonderful work she did on our engagement photos I know they'll turn out great! Olga was extremely flexible. We wanted our pictures taken in an old clock tower, but the night before they had some water pipe issues. Olga was very understanding about canceling our session last minute. She responded immediately to my frantic email and assured me that we could reschedule. During the engagement shoot, she was very helpful and listened to our ideas as well. The pictures she sent us were amazing! We love them. My fiancé and I are so happy we went with her, and look forward to what she produces for our wedding day. I would definitely recommend her to any bride-to-be.

Sarah Sent on 11/19/2017Photography was one of the higher priorities on our wedding priority list, so we were excited to find Olga because we thought her pictures were great and she fit perfectly within our budget! Most photographers in the area are between 4000-6000 for just the wedding, but Olga charged 1500 for both engagement and the wedding, so we gave her a 5/5 on value. She was always quick to respond to our e-mails and texts before and after the wedding, which is why we gave her a 5/5 on responsiveness. After our engagement shoot, we told Olga that we wanted less photos that used a special focus lens and more photos with a documentary style feel, and she was quick to accommodate and even offered a reshoot, which is why she received a 5/5 for flexibility. She has been consistent with her flexibility, and even has made changes to the final wedding album that she sent over. If you are looking for a photographer who will have a strong artistic POV, but also be willing to accommodate your needs, we would definitely recommend Olga!
We loved working with Olga and found her very easy to communicate with. We gave her 3/5 on quality of service and professionalism because there were some issues with timeliness on the engagement shoot and getting back our engagement photos. There were also a few photos missing and multiple duplicates in the original set she sent over, and we asked her to adjust the gallery. She immediately obliged and it wasn't a huge deal. There was also a bit of a mix up at the wedding where she didn't have the list of portraits to take, so we had to remake the list on the spot, even though we had worked it through and provided it to her a month beforehand.
I would not let the 3 star ratings deter you because Olga was definitely worth what we paid and we loved the final result! She is by far the best photographer in her price range and is flexible and easy to work with! -
