Don’t judge a book by its cover!

My wife and I are so glad we chose Off the Record! We were looking for a budget friendly DJ for our wedding, willing to compromise some quality for the sake of price. Also, during our first couple online meetings, Patrick seemed a little quiet. Our wedding was so memorable thanks to him! No quality was compromised and he kept everyone in the floor all night! He announced our tables to dinner, enthusiastically gave directions for us and our guests, and was flexible if we needed to shift our timeline. We very much recommend Patrick “off the record” for any event you might have coming up!

Happy 60th Birthday Rosie!

My 60th Birthday was a hit! Family and friends attended from three different states. I hired Patrick to be my DJ because of his professionalism of how he made my family and friends feel welcome. My 85 year-old mother-in-law was dancing and singing to the music and she even commented on Patrick’s professionalism. In addition, I hired Patrick for my 65th Birthday and my girlfriend’s were also taking about his professionalism. He has a personality that shines while he’s playing the music that you requested. Everyone had a great time!! I will hire him again in the near future.

The Girls had so much FUN!!!

Patrick is the best DJ. We had our annual Daddy Daughter Dance. He has been our go to DJ for many years. He had the girls and their dads dancing for hours! He also brought his photo booth that was a total hit! He even made a personalized boarder for our pics! Can’t wait to have him back in a couple months for our Mother Son Dance!!!

Patrick was great!

Everything went amazing at our wedding! Patrick helped make sure my schedule for the evening flowed nicely and was flexible when we were ahead or behind schedule. It really made the evening stress free! All the guests had a wonderful time. He was able to use the songs I suggested to select more that matched the vibe. Definitely recommend!

We cannot say enough good things about our wedding DJ! He kept the energy high, the transitions smooth, and the dance floor full the entire night.

Guests are still talking about how much fun they had—and we owe so much of that to our DJ. They understood the crowd, kept things lively without being overbearing, and truly made the night unforgettable. Highly, highly recommend!

Easy, Fun and Professional!

Patrick did a fantastic job at keeping our day flowing with all the emotions of laughter and happy tears of joy. He was so easy going, funny but still professional in every way! Even though my wedding didn't have a big dancing crowd he still kept the mood perfect and fun for everyone to enjoy. I have gotten plenty of compliments from guests on how well he did and how they truly enjoyed the evening. I appreciate him so much for helping make our special day literally perfect! He is a great person and would definitely use his services again for other parties! Thank you again I really was happy with everything!

Professional and puts on a good party!

Patrick at Off the Record Video Service was fantastic to work with for our wedding! He is incredibly professional, organized, and flexible to ensure we had the best wedding!

He provided plenty of opportunity to chat and create a timeline/ song selection that fit everything we needed. Patrick was perfect for our ceremony and reception, encompassing everything we asked for!

Between his MC skills, music selection, digital photo booth, and lighting, our guests had the best evening! He was exactly what we needed to get everyone out of their seats whether in the photo booth or the dance floor, and helping keep the timeline on track so there wouldn’t be any gaps and we never felt rushed

Overall, I do not have a bad thing to say about this service, we now have amazing dance floor pictures because of his party atmosphere and get to keep all the digital Photo Booth pictures for the years to come!

The photo booth was a HUGE hit. Renee was awesome! Super friendly and even stayed a little later for us because everyone was having so much fun with it!

Everything was perfect!

From the first time of talking with Patrick, everything I asked for for a yes! This took the pressure off of me. He had the photobooth that my daughter in law wanted and it always a huge hit! I even used it several times! It was so fun and the pictures are sent right to your cell! My son and daughter in law had their reception in Urbana, OH on 8/23/24. Patrick showed up on time and started setting up without needing any help. We were busy doing pictures and he isn't need a thing. He had lights for the dance floor and everything set up before we were done with pictures. He was professional, fun and personable! I would recommend him for any event you have!

Above and beyond my expectations!

When I say Art and Patrick were amazing… I mean it and then some! Our ceremony music was perfect. Our cocktail hour music was perfect. Our reception music was even better. They also checked in with us constantly to make sure we had drinks and even helped with the removal of our food. I received so many compliments about both of them. We also had the Photo Booth and it was a hit! We had almost 600 pictures in our gallery. If I had to do this all over again, I would still choose them. I’m so grateful to have had them for our wedding because I couldn’t imagine it having gone any better! Thank you so much Art Love and Patrick!!

Kept the party going!

Patrick made the reception! The dance floor was full from the moment it opened. He also helped us with sound for the wedding, which was a big concern given that it was outside on a very windy day! The Photo Booth was also a great addition and everyone loved it!

Great service

Extremely flexible and easy to work with. Online services help to pick songs and line things up for the wedding day. Patrick was accommodating to us on our special day. We had some issues with pictures and Patrick rearranged the order for music in the moment and everything worked out great. Couldn’t be happier with our choice of dj. Photo booth was great as well everyone loved it and we love looking through the pictures the day after.

We could not have hired a better DJ. Patrick was wonderful from the first touchpoint to our pre-wedding consult, to the day of the event.

He gave us the tools to give him direction, and we let him sprinkle in some "DJs" choice and he read the room and made it happen.

Patrick did a great job at our wedding. He was very professional and walked us through every step of the way. Patrick was the DJ for both our wedding ceremony & reception. His website was easy for music requests, and song suggestions. He was always quick to respond to messages and everything went smooth on the day of! He was also really accommodating & helpful to our last minute change for our reception entrance. Easy to work with, great experience!

Tanner DJ'd our wedding and did a great job! The music was great and kept people on the floor all night. Our guests loved being able to request songs ahead of time. We did a musical chairs scavenger hunt which Tanner had never heard of before but he was great with figuring it out just a day before. He was a natural talking to the crowd and guiding the reception. We also had a photo booth that everyone loved and it was an added bonus to get digital copies of all the pictures. Patrick was great to work with and there was no stress whatsoever for me regarding whether they would be there to make everything go as planned.

Wedding DJ, Ceremony Music, Up Lighting, Photo Booth

I cannot say enough about Patrick and Art! They were amazing! They made it their mission to ensure that our wedding day was everything we imagined and more. I would like to apologize in advance for this review being so long but I feel that it is very important for everyone to know just how incredible these guys are! Let's start with ceremony... Patrick was in control of the sound. I requested specific versions of songs to be played throughout the ceremony and Patrick made sure to call me and played each song for me to approve before completing our ceremony playlist. At the ceremony, which was outdoors, they provided a microphone for our officiant to use while marrying us. Art was very helpful in coordinating who goes when and when to go. Afterwards, at the reception, Art made sure that everyone was lined up and ready to come into the hall for the entrance in the correct order and that all names were pronounced correctly. Our hall was a very industrial looking union hall with bright over head lights. Patrick provided enough up lighting and special effect lighting to light the whole room up and give it a much more elegant look. Art was very kind and professional. He carried mine and my husband's dinner plates to the table and helped clear and tear down our head table after dinner. He also was in constant contact with me throughout the night, but without interrupting me while I was greeting guest, to keep us informed on what was next on our schedule of events. They both followed the schedule we created, played the selections of songs we selected, and kept the party going. During our first dance they provided a dry ice machine that they call "Dancing in the Clouds", and it truly looked as if we were dancing in the clouds. And they accentuated it with a spot light. It was beyond beautiful! When we first met with Patrick he had a photo booth that we requested as an add on. Just a few months prior to our wedding he added a magic selfie mirror photo booth to his options. That mirror was 100% worth the upgrade and was a huge hit amongst guest of ALL ages. The mirror allowed our guests to sign their names and we had them print an extra copy to place in our guest book. Plus we get all the digital prints incase they forgot to print a copy for us. Just in the past 3 days we have received so many compliments on how beautiful our wedding was, how amazingly beautiful the dancing in clouds was, how wonderful the mirror photo booth was, and how magnificent our DJ's were! These guys truly love what they do and it shows through their work. Oh, and one final thing.. they are absolutely AFFORDABLE!! If I could give them a 100 star review, I would! If you need a DJ for an event, these are the guys to hire! Incredible job Off The Record Video DJ Services!!!

We found Off the Record at a wedding event advertising their services and stopped by to see what it was all about about. We met Patrick and quickly signed up for our wedding DJ service to be done by them. He did everything we could have asked for and was very knowledgable about the venue and willing to get any music we asked him to get that he didn't already have. My husband and I last minute had a change of plans with DJ's and Off the Record was there for us! Pat and Art are very talented and know how to feel the crowd and play the right music! Our family and friends danced the night away at our barn yard wedding! And little did they know when they played she thinks my tractors sexy...the groom came flying in on his tractor! These guys are awesome! They provided the mic for our officiant, and music for our outdoor reception. We had a small pop-up storm which changed our reception timeline and forced them to pack and re-unpack equipment to keep it safe. They were on-time, professional, kept everyone dancing, and played all the music we wanted. We really could not have asked for anyone better to DJ our wedding.

Patrick is an amazing DJ! He was a key part of our wedding reception being so much fun. Everyone in attendance has been telling us how much they enjoyed him and the great music he played all night. He played the music we wanted and did a great job picking the right songs at the perfect moments. The photo booth is also something that everyone loved. He is very pleasant and professional. He makes the process very smooth from the first meeting to the actual event. My wife & I will definitely recommend him for any family & friends future needs of a DJ.

Patrick has been a close friend of mine for years! He is very professional !! Always does what you ask of him and knows how to keep the party going. He played my wife's thirtieth birthday party last night and as usual was amazing . Music choice was awesome great interaction with crowd. Highly recommended by myself to anyone! Equipment is amazing and up to date! Photo booth light show whatever you need he has! So if you need a dj don't think about anyone else this should be your only choice!

We loved having Off the Record as our DJs! They were prompt, professional, and very fun. We went with them because they had been the DJs at my sister's wedding last year, and we enjoyed it. Pat and Artie communicated often with me over the phone and online. They had detailed planning sheets which made it very easy for me to communicate exactly what I wanted out of my event. Patrick is as professional as they come. From the time he arrived until he left he was a pleasure. He handled the introductions, helped dismiss tables to buffett line, provided nice background dinner music and made it possible for my wife and i to not have to worry about anything. Wonderful job of not only D.J'ing, but also helping lay out timeline for reception and kept the night going. His ability to read the crowd and keep the dance floor full is exceptional. He is also very flexible with taking request and playing what the people want to hear. I know many D.J.'s and was even one myself for 10 years and Patrick is hard to beat. Awesome job.

I rented uplighting for my wedding reception which took place in a conference center ballroom. My wedding colors were black with accents of fuschia and tangerine. Off the Record provided me with can lights of my accents colors and lit them against the walls. I can honestly say those lights made the whole reception. I loved it! Patrick and team were great to work with. Very personable and accommodating. I highly recommend their services.

Just a phenomenal job. They were very professional and showed up on time. Everything was organized and ready to go. My Wife and I really loved the fact they had edited HIp Hop songs. It made both of our families comfortable and encouraged to dance all night.

Patrick came out and set up his equipment on a last minute request. He always does what it takes to make us happy! TJ provided a great variety of music and videos that pleased everyone in the crowd ... he had them dancing all night and did a fantastic job as always! They was very affordable. They catered to custome playlist. This company will go beyond to get a song you want in any way. They got me there intro song to my wedding aint nothing but a g thang but just the instrumental version no lyrics. They are really nice people to work with. DJ Art Love was very respectful and professional. Art actually did the music for the ceremony and the wedding. He met with us prior to the wedding to help set up music and gave his suggestions which helped in choosing some of our songs. His music was just perfect for the reception and he had the dance floor busy all night. I would recommend him for company and personal event I have experienced both with him.

My high school used the photobooth for their homecoming dance. The photobooth was a HIT!! The kids really enjoyed the photobooth option. The staff was awesome. They were flexible and easy to work with. A hit for a school dance or any event.

DJ Artie Love II was outstanding! Everyone was on their feet and you don't see that much at a reception. So many people were asking me who he was and I was so glad I could say THE BEST! He followed everything we asked and when I didn't know what to do he filled in the empty spots :) He was on top of it all and I would say if you don't know him you should get to know him. His services was outstanding and the music was excellent. He was very respectful and had us all going. Best reception to date. So glad we went with him for our special day! We were extremely satisfied with DJ Patrick and his MC Art, both at our wedding and throughout the planning process. The guys were experienced, flexible, and fun to work with. The online planning tools allowed us to choose all our own music and made planning the reception very simple and user-friendly. We also rented their photobooth, which was a total hit with our guests! Included in the cost were unlimited photo strips and a flash drive at the end of the night with all the images--- good, bad, and ugly! That made for a good laugh the next day! Off The Record was affordable, even though the guys traveled to Columbus for us. They definitely kept the party going! My favorite part of the night was our dance circle during "Turn Down for What!" We would definitely recommend making Off The Record your go-to for DJ service!

Me and my fiance, Matt, were married June 16, 2012 in Urbana, Ohio. Several months prior to getting married, we asked Patrick McCurdy and his wife, Rachel, to serve as our DJ providers for our reception that was held at the Urbana Country Club. It was the best decision we made in our whole wedding planning process.
In providing services for us, Pat and Rachel made our wedding reception a blast for not only us but all of our guests as well, as there wasn't one single person in attendance who wasn't out cutting a rug on the dance floor! Pat and Rachel stayed on schedule and kept the ball rolling to ensure that all of our requests were met and that the events of the night flowed. There wasn't one song we chose that they didn t have in their playlist, and their advanced uplighting, water lights, sound systems and fogging machines really helped to bring our beach themed reception alive!
Overall, all of our guests really seemed to enjoy themselves and the photo booth with props that Pat and Rachel supplied were also a HUGE hit among both adults and children attending our reception! Pat and Rachel s prices were VERY affordable and they went above and beyond to ensure that our day was everything we imagined it would be! They exceeeded our expectations by far, and we would highly reccomend them to any engaged couple out there who is looking for DJ services for their wedding reception! We couldn't be happier with their services, and thanks to them our day was perfect and one we will never forget!

We were extremely happy with the services we recieved. Patrick was very accomodating scheduling set up and tear down around our timeline as well as the music selection. He even furnished all the equipment we needed to introduce the wedding party outside of the venue. He also brought an assistant that everyone absolutely loved. They were funny and and did a really good job making sure everyone was having fun dancing. One of our guest said she had never seen people have so much fun at a reception without being drunk. I am thrilled to say fun was had by all.

These guys came out to our business at Jumpy's fun zone in Troy Ohio, for our movie night. They brought their giant big screen and provided sound and video for the movie, I would highly recommend them to anyone!!!!!

DJ service for my daughter's wedding

Our event was the Simon Kenton Chili Cook Off. Patrick was awesome. He dj'd for us for 3 years. His equipment and music were great. He was really flexibile and did whatever we asked him to do. I would recommend him for any type of event. I also attended my friends wedding in which he dj'd. It was really great.
