From the very beginning, the sales team was welcoming, organized, and genuinely invested in helping us bring our vision to life. The catering team was outstanding. The food was not only delicious but beautifully presented, and our guests are still talking about how amazing the meal was. Amazing wedding experience at OceanCliff
We had an incredible experience hosting our wedding at OceanCliff. From the very start of the planning process, Amanda was incredibly helpful, patient, and responsive to all of our questions. Kasey and Jim were wonderful to work with leading up to the wedding day, and Taylor was amazing day-of—I didn’t think once about logistics once we arrived for our wedding weekend. Their attention to detail and commitment to excellence made everything feel truly seamless. Every detail was thoughtfully managed, and it was clear how much care went into every aspect of the event to make sure we had a great day. Being able to stay on-site and end the night with an after party at the Safari Room was so convenient and made everything so easy. Our wedding day exceeded our expectations, and we owe so much of that to the entire OceanCliff team. Truly perfection!!
We could not have imagined a more perfect venue than OceanCliff for our July wedding! From start to finish, the entire team was incredible. They were responsive, professional, and supportive throughout planning, with clear pricing (no surprises!) and great vendor recommendations. Kasey was amazing to work with leading up to our wedding — after our very first meeting, I truly felt a weight lifted off my shoulders. I didn’t hire a wedding planner, but I never felt like I needed one because the OceanCliff team had every detail completely figured out.
They were flexible and accommodating, even allowing us to customize menu options, and everything we served was delicious. On top of that, the views are absolutely breathtaking — our guests loved having both the stunning outdoor lawn and the beautiful indoor spaces to enjoy.
We also stayed at the hotel onsite with family and our wedding party, which made the whole experience even better. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the Gatehouse was the perfect spot for getting ready with a large bridal party.
On the wedding day itself, the OceanCliff staff went above and beyond to make everything seamless. Briana, our banquet leader, was thoughtful, communicative, and had every little detail handled. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing — the team coordinated perfectly with vendors and kept the timeline on track. We also had a personal waiter, John, who made sure my husband and I always had a drink in hand and actually ate during the reception (a lifesaver!).
The combination of amazing service, delicious food, stunning views, and an incredibly thoughtful team made our day unforgettable. If you’re considering OceanCliff — just book it. You won’t regret it!

Highly Recommend OceanCliff!
We had our wedding at OceanCliff this past April, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we booked the venue to the final farewell brunch, the entire team was incredibly organized, responsive, and a joy to work with.
When we first inquired about having our wedding at OceanCliff, we worked with Amanda, who was fantastic. She answered all of our questions quickly and thoroughly, making the entire planning process feel stress-free and straightforward. Later on, Alison became our main wedding coordinator and she was just as amazing always willing to hop on the phone to go over details, make changes, and ensure everything was exactly how we envisioned it. Stephen was also super helpful in coordinating our room block and made sure all of our guests were happy and received their welcome bags. The onsite accommodations were perfect for our close family and friends, and having everyone right there made the whole weekend so much easier and more enjoyable. On the day of the wedding, Taylor was our coordinator and she was absolutely wonderful. She made sure every detail was executed perfectly and helped everything run smoothly so we could just enjoy the moment. The food and service were outstanding, we are still getting compliments from our guests about how delicious their meals were! And the next day, we hosted a brunch in the Safari Room which completely exceeded our expectations. Everything from the food options to the presentation was top-notch. We’re so happy we chose OceanCliff and will always be grateful for how perfectly everything turned out!

my dream wedding venue
From the moment I first stepped foot on the Ocean Cliff property I knew this was the place I was going to get married. The building itself is gorgeous, making you feel like you’re inside a castle, but then you see that view, which is simply to die for.
We had a great experience with everyone we worked with at the Ocean Cliff. Starting first off with Galen. She was extraordinary and stayed connected with us always checking in through the process. She was real and authentic and gave her real opinions which was refreshing and very helpful when you have to make 8392984 decisions.
We later worked with Alison for our details meetings and all communications leading up to the wedding. She was also sensational. I must have sent at least two emails a week for 2 months and she answered every single one, responding to every question, comment, and concern. She updated contracts and layouts and the BEO consistently and accurately and also gave good advice when it came to making decisions. She was so helpful and amazing to work with.
Finally, our day of coordinator, Reidyn, was exceptional. That girl is going to go so far. She is talented, kind, and has GREAT energy. She was running miles around that place and she had everything and everyone running perfectly for my wedding. She also made me feel so comfortable through the day, like I had another friend by my side. I felt so fortunate to have gotten to work with her.
There were so many other people who made the whole process through Ocean Cliff as amazing as it was. I could go on and on for days. But overall, I just wanted to say how wonderful it was to have my wedding there. The day could not have gone smoother, the communication was amazing, and I never felt worried that something was going to be misplaced or not go to plan. We talked in great detail of the plans and how to make sure everything went the way we wanted it to go and they genuinely cared that it did. It was also awesome to just have the one wedding per day. That was a key detail also in my selection of Ocean Cliff.
Overall, the best experience I could have asked for, and would get married there again in a heartbeat.

OceanCliff was everything we dreamed of and more as a venue! It was one of the most stunning, elegant settings with breathtaking panoramic Ocean views that made our day feel magical. From the moment we began planning the entire staff (Amanda, Kasey and Stephen to name a few) were amazing and went above an beyond to make every detail seamless. Everyone was positive, professional and helpful ensuring the most perfect day. I would highly recommend to anyone !!!

Best Day Ever!!
I just got married at OceanCliff this past weekend and I cannot share enough great things about our experience. From the moment we reached out to OC, our assigned sales manager, Amanda, was so incredibly helpful. I had so many questions about timelines, room blocks, vendor suggestions, etc. and she would email me back so quickly to help! Stephen was also super helpful with organizing our room block and helping out with wedding morning details such as having chairs for hair & makeup artists! In the months leading up to the wedding, we met with Elizabeth who was so so amazing - she truly helped our wedding vision come to life! Brianna, our awesome day of coordinator! She made everything go smoothly in the background which led to a stress-free day :) Big shout out to Nick too! He never let our glasses go empty and always kept an eye out for us on our wedding day if we needed anything!
The venue is absolutely stunning but what impressed us even more was how incredibly staffed OceanCliff is! I would recommend this venue in a heartbeat!!

The Perfect Wedding
We had the most amazing wedding at OceanCliff. From the second we walked onto the grounds at our first tour with Suzanne, we knew this was the place! We absolutely loved the ceremony spot that was surrounded by beautiful hydrangeas with a full oceanfront view and the elegant ballroom with gold chandeliers. Key details that really sold us on OceanCliff were the stunning view, the more affordable Thursday wedding option with a lower food and beverage minimum, and the single event per day policy.
Kasey was our contact person while planning the final details of our wedding. She answered all of our endless questions in the weeks leading up to the wedding and was able to make last minute changes up until the day before.
Logistics wise, we really appreciated that the venue stored our wedding decor in a locked closet after the rehearsal and on the day of, the venue offered a complimentary breakfast to those that stayed at the hotel. They also provided extra tables and chairs for the hair and makeup artists.
Our venue coordinator Rei was absolutely OUTSTANDING!! She was extremely organized and seamlessly adjusted to the problems that popped up throughout the day - the rain, late delivery of our signature drinks from an outside vendor, and last minute timeline changes. No one even knew that anything had gone wrong during our day. She went above and beyond and we can’t thank her enough! Our decor was set up by the banquet staff just how we had imagined. It had started drizzling right as we were lining up for the ceremony, but the staff knew how much we wanted to have our ceremony outside, so they continued on with the outdoor plan. The ceremony was so beautiful, no one cared about the rain.
My guests and I really enjoyed the extras that OceanCliff offered including the clam chowder bar, the Ben & Jerry’s Bar, the sweet treats (Cannolis, macaroons, cookies, etc), and the late night chicken tenders and fries. All of the food was delicious!
My florist is a family friend, so she did our flowers and attended the wedding. She said she had no idea that anything had gone wrong because the flow of the wedding was so smooth. From a vendor standpoint, she thoroughly enjoyed working with the OceanCliff staff as everyone was so kind and helpful.
We absolutely loved having our wedding here and recommend it to everyone!

Wedding Day 5/3/2024
My wife and I had our wedding reception there over the past weekend and it was absolutely incredible! We knew it was the venue for us as soon as we stepped inside. The views of the water and the sunset were breathtaking, and we decided to cancel all other venue tours. During the planning stage, everyone was super easy to work with and super responsive! The day itself ran smooth. Let me tell you- they are a well-run establishment. The food was great! The drinks were even better! I couldn’t have asked for a better day! My wife and I highly recommend you look at Ocean Cliff if you are hoping to get married in Rhode Island!

The Best Venue!
I don't know if there will ever be enough words to express how truly amazing OceanCliff is!!! This was the first venue my husband and I toured, and we knew instantly this was where we wanted to get married. The second I walked in the doors, I got chills. OceanCliff is a true fairytale. Not only is it the MOST beautiful place, but the staff is absolutely amazing, truly the best! The second I reached out and spoke to Susanne, one of the sales manager's, I was taken away by how kind she was. I truly felt she cared and wanted to make sure we felt comfortable and had all of our questions answered. Susanne was extremely responsive and informative, and was always there to hop on a quick call anytime we had a question or I needed planning advise. She is the best! Once we booked OceanCliff and started the detailing/planning process, we were introduced to Alison, one of the catering manager's. Alison, is simply amazing! Her attention to detail, professionalism, and dedication to each of her couples is truly amazing, not to mention, inspiring! We are the luckiest to have been able to work with her. Brianna was our day-of wedding coordinator and she was absolutely wonderful! She listened and executed our ideas flawlessly and always checked in with us throughout the weekend to see if we needed anything. She made sure our day was nothing short of perfect. Stephen at the front desk is the sweetest! My parents stayed over the night of our wedding and he upgraded their room, it was so kind of him and we are so grateful we got to meet and work with Stephen! The outpour of kindness from each and every one of the team is truly something we will never forget and they all played such a vital role in all the months leading up to and on the best day of our lives. The attentiveness, professionalism, and kindness they have towards their couples is second to none. OceanCliff truly makes you feel like a part of their family. Also, the food and drinks were absolutely amazing!!! Top notch! And the wait staff were the sweetest. They truly took the time to make sure you were having the best day and were always there for you, your family, and your guests. Absolutely everything about our wedding was perfect and a true dream. We keep hearing from our guests that it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to and we have all of OceanCliff to thank for this! I feel like the luckiest bride to have been able to get married at the most beautiful place and also have met some of the kindest people!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Ocean Cliff Hotel was our dream wedding spot. From our first step on the property to the wedding, the team was amazing to work with. They were communicative, detail oriented, and always made sure we were taken care of. Amanda was a dream consultant to work with! She always answered emails or text in a quick manner, provided solutions when needed, and continuously checked in to ensure everything was going exactly how we wanted it to go. Stephen at the front desk was a rockstar! With a big group all wanting to stay in the mansion he had a lot of people to talk to. He always kept me in the loop. On arrival he and his team made sure all of our guests received their welcome bags, and even hand delivered the bags to people's room. Alison and Taylor leading up to the wedding day and the day of wedding were great!

Amazing Experience
Ocean Cliff was absolutely phenomenal! From start to finish everyone there I encountered was nothing but kind and super helpful. I knew from the moment I stepped foot on the grounds that this was the place for me and when I saw that ceremony space out there on the lawn I got choked up! I could see myself getting married there and didn’t have to look any further. They made the big day and the days leading up to it less stressful for me as they had every detail figured out allowing me to just tell them what I wanted and sit back and let them do the rest. And on my wedding day they treated me like a princess! They helped me in ways I didn’t even know I needed! The OceanCliff staff is the most talented and passionate team with members that have the aptitude and the passion to deliver a wedding of high caliber and uncompromising standard of excellence at a venue that is unmatched and unparalleled by
any property in the Northeast.
During our OceanCliff pre-wedding meeting with Taylor Russo, we witnessed a well-organized, passionate caring and sensitive team member with a can-do type attitude. She was well prepared to execute the mission with ownership to a well-focused vision of delivering an exceptional event. Taylor, Alison Davis, Susanne, Joe, and several other OC staff members were integral to the success of the wedding, and of the planning leading up to the big day. We could not have executed such a flawless wedding without their intelligence, camaraderie, hard work, and support.

Dream Wedding
We had the most amazing wedding. Truly a dream! The staff was very professional, kind and helpful. We had nothing to do day off which was amazing. Would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a coastal fairytale!

The Absolute Best Venue
We had the absolute best experience at OceanCliff! From the absolutely stunning vistas to the delicious food to the attentive, kind and capable staff, everything about our day was fantastic. Our guests couldn't stop raving about it! Many said it was their favorite wedding venue they'd ever been to. Susanne Day and Elizabeth O'Connell were our coordinators, and made sure everything went off without a hitch and were also always available to answer questions throughout the planning process. Our waitstaff did an amazing job — a special shout out to our Captain Johanna!
Truly I could not have imagined a more perfect wedding venue. It is so beautiful, and had everything we needed on site. Being able to have 12 rooms on property for our wedding party was so valuable; also having all of the catering, linens, chairs, ceremony site etc. on location made the day a total breeze.
Every detail was perfect, and the team at OceanCliff are beyond helpful and kind. They are a well-oiled machine and know how to throw a wedding your guests will be raving about for years to come!!

We love Oceancliff!
We LOVE Oceancliff!! My Husband and I got married at Oceancliff this past August, and we cannot say enough good things about this venue. We toured and booked with Susanne, and from day one we felt well taken care of. She helped to make Oceancliff feel like the perfect spot for us, and we truly knew we were putting our wedding in the best of hands. We booked two years in advance, and throughout the long planning process, Susanne and all other staff members were always eager to answer our questions and provide planning guidance. From booking, to planning, to having the BEST wedding day, everything exceeded our expectations. All the staff was friendly, professional, accommodating, and made us feel very special. Our wedding was also seamless, I honestly don't think one singular thing went wrong. In addition to the wonderful staff, the venue is also absolutely gorgeous. We had the best views and the most beautiful photos to look back on. Finally, you can always come back and visit- whether that's for an overnight stay or for a drink at the Safari Room- you can't beat that! Oceancliff is the best and we wouldn't change a thing- thank you Oceancliff!

Unforgettable wedding at OceanCliff Newport
OceanCliff is a spectacular venue with the most captivating view in Newport. Unlike some other waterfront venues in Newport (and on Cape Cod), the OceanCliff ballroom is perfectly shaped with windows along the pinnacle to beckon all eyes to the bay. This venue offers the best of both worlds—an outdoor cocktail hour under the upper deck tent followed by an indoor reception in the ballroom with beautiful chandeliers, uninterrupted water views, and a stunning sunset. Treat your guests to the comfort of a climate-controlled ballroom with real bathrooms without compromising on the view—and with easy outdoor waterfront access throughout the reception. We much preferred this experience to a tented outdoor wedding, and we lucked out with gorgeous weather. Also, OceanCliff, built from 1894-1896, offers a more majestic setting and castle-like feel than other more recently built waterfront Newport or Cape Cod venues.
Not only is OceanCliff a beautiful venue, but the OceanCliff team is fantastic and provides unparalleled service. We can’t thank them enough for making our day unforgettable!
We truly appreciate all the time and effort the OceanCliff team devoted to our special event, from booking with Susanne (and her help with booking our church ceremony as well) to details with Kasey (and there were many details!) to guest room updates with Susan to the 'day of' with Taylor, who pulled off everything with apparent ease. Everyone was a pleasure to work with and offered great advice-- from hors d'oeuvre selections to where to locate the band for a more spacious dance floor with a headcount of 202 guests.
In addition, we are very thankful to Juwana, our steward, who was so attentive and went above and beyond to take great care of us all evening. Every single team member, from servers to bartenders to those breaking down the tables at the end of the night, provided outstanding service with a smile.
And did we forget to mention that the food was absolutely amazing? We heard great things from guests about the poached peach salad, all three entrees (filet mignon, halibut & vegetable Napoleon), and all the hors d'oeuvres, which were plentiful. The lamb chops and raw bar were an especially big hit, but everything was wonderful!
We have received countless compliments from guests on the excellent service provided by the staff, the delicious culinary creations, the gorgeous set up of the upper deck tent and the ballroom with beautifully set tables, and the magnificence of the venue overall (again, what a view!).
We were thrilled with everything on our wedding day and highly recommend OceanCliff!

Unbelievable, can’t imagine working with any other vendor.
We had to reschedule our daughter’s wedding twice due to the pandemic. Every person we worked with at Oceancliff was so helpful, professional and flexible. They really made wedding planning easy as they coordinated with all our vendors. As a result of COVID, our guest count was significantly less than expected and they were very helpful in giving us suggestions on how to meet our food and beverage minimum. In the end, we had a fabulous wedding. Food was excellent and the staff was outstanding. Meals came out very timely. Our banquet manager was extremely attentive and everything went smoothly. We had wonderful weather, but even if weather wasn’t cooperative, the day would have been great. So many of our guests gave us positive feedback.
My only regret is I don’t have another wedding I could plan at OceanCliff.

A dream Come True.
Even from our first contact with OceanCliff I knew this was the venue we were going to choose for our wedding. Before visiting OceanCliff, we got to talk to Susanne Day on the phone to talk about our expectations and what we imagined for our wedding. A minute into the conversation we loved her. She was SO nice, excited for us, genuine, full of information, and really and truly felt like she was on our side and wanted whatever we wanted.
When we got to OceanCliff, WOW. The venue speaks for itself. It is absolutely stunning. From the beautiful architecture on the outside, the waterfront and large arch in front, to the gorgeous detail inside. The large sweeping staircase, amazingly beautiful large gold mirrors—and that ballroom. Totally open to the ocean, it really feels like you are outside when you’re not. It took my breath away.
Our first meeting with Susanne sold us. We knew that we were getting married at OceanCliff.
Between Susanne and Alison recommending vendors for our day, helping us with every step of the wedding planning process, and always answering questions so promptly, planning a wedding felt easy, exciting, and fun.
Stephen & all staff present the day of our wedding truly helped make our wedding a dream come true.

The best in the business
My Husband and I got married at OceanCliff on 1.29.22 (for the second time!) and it was everything we could have hoped for. We were originally scheduled to get married in Feb of 2021, but decided to postpone. We ended up still have a very small ceremony on the original date with just family. OceanCliff was so kind to allow this and made it a wonderful experience. Fast forward to our postponed wedding in January. It ended up being on the day of a blizzard! With the stress of having to postpone our original date, then the spike of the omicron variant and THEN a blizzard scheduled for our big day, its safe to say we were stressed. OceanCliff didn't miss a beat. They are seriously the best in the business. I have no idea how they pulled it off, but it was flawless. The entire staff was amazing. Steven was excellent to work with the weekend of the wedding. Alison was the best throughout the whole planning experience and such a helpful resource. The food was phenomenal. The staff handled the change of plans (due to the blizzard) with ease and professionalism. They coordinated with our vendors to make it all possible and did their best to ensure as many vendors could make it as possible, even letting some come days earlier to set up equipment and decor. We can't thank everyone at OceanCliff enough. I truly don't think our wedding would have happened at any other venue given all the obstacles thrown our way. We are SO appreciative and will be back! If you're looking for the best in Newport, these guys are it! THANK YOU OCEANCLIFF!!

OceanCliff gave us our dream wedding!!!
We got married here on 1/8/22 and had the best wedding weekend ever at OceanCliff- I want to go back and relive it all again! We postponed our 2021 wedding due to COVID and OceanCliff was understanding and so flexible. On our postponed weekend there was a snow storm and a Covid surge, so we had lots of guest cancellations. OceanCliff (Jim specifically) was SO accommodating, quick to answer emails and made us feel at ease. The staff at OceanCliff made us feel so special and we truly felt spoiled the day of our wedding. I couldn’t recommend this venue more!

OceanCliff was the perfect venue for our NYE wedding!
We got married at OceanCliff on 12/31/2021 and could not have enough wonderful things to say them! We spent almost two years working with the OceanCliff team and every person that we met along the way was phenomenal in helping us achieve exactly what we wanted for the wedding. Covid made the planning process difficult, but OceanCliff was always willing to help in anyway they could to make things easier on us. They were even willing to modify details last minute when Omicron caused everything to go crazy two weeks before our wedding.
Elsa, Jim, Devon and Taylor were all absolutely great to work with and made our wedding weekend run perfectly. Jim clearly has a lot of experience with weddings and knows exactly what to do to bring your vision to life. I had a lot of special requests and Jim worked to execute each one without ever making me feel like a burden. Devon and Taylor were especially wonderful the day of the wedding and made my husband and I feel like royalty. We never even had to leave a conversation with our guests to get food or drinks, they brought us whatever we needed. They both honestly felt more like friends by the end of the night. Another special shout out to Stephen who we worked with for the hotel rooms, he is incredible! We had rented out the entire property, including all hotel rooms (which I HIGHLY recommend, makes you feel like you're at home) and Stephen was instrumental in making us and our guests feel welcome. He was always quick to answer any question and didn't even make me feel bad about the +50 email chain we had by the wedding weekend!
Overall, OceanCliff was the perfect choice! Not only for their beautiful property, ballroom and views, but also for how much they were willing to work with us to have the best wedding possible within our constraints. I was incredibly stressed out when covid started going crazy again right before the wedding, but the team at OceanCliff was phenomenal at figuring out how to make it all work. We will forever be thankful for the best New Years Eve wedding!

A Great Experience at OceanCliff
Our daughter was married at OceanCliff this past weekend and the OC Team did a great job. The venue is breathtaking, the staff is great, and the meal was delicious. Our accommodations in the OceanCliff Hotel were charming. The OC Team was well lead by Stephen who made sure that every detail was taken care of. And the After-Party in the Safari Room was a blast! Most importantly, the bride and groom are very happy!

Excellent service from Amanda!
I was coordinating with Amanda. Amanda is very fun and easy to talk to. She welcomed my family and made us feel right at home while we toured OceanCliff (and gave us the BEST champagne!) She is so easy to coordinate with, responsive, informative, and we had such a good time getting to know her. We ultimately decided to choose another venue, but I had such a good experience coordinating with and getting to know her that I had to leave a review! She was so great to work with in fact that we went back to her months later to inquire about rehearsal venues.

A fairytale!
OceanCliff provided a fairytale of a wedding for my husband and I. I never thought I would get married in a castle, but OceanCliff makes it possible. Planning weddings are so stressful and I cannot write enough kind words to truly express how effortless Amanda, Jim, Liz, Stephen, and the rest of the team members made this process. They respond immediately with answers to all of the never ending questions you have when planning a wedding. Our wedding day is my favorite story of all time and we have such beautiful moments to relish in and the memories from this venue will last us a lifetime. I cannot say enough how wonderful the process was with them and how amazing our wedding day was!!!

Gorgeous Newport, RI Venue!
My husband and I got married at OceanCliff on 10/22/21 and I can't say enough good things about the venue and staff! Amanda was such an awesome coordinator to work with - she had amazing suggestions for vendors (we are from CT) and was prompt in her replies, which made the stress of planning minimal! She was also so pleasant and funny, even our tour was fun! Working with Jim and Liz to plan the menu was easy as well. They know their stuff! Every detail was perfect and the food/drinks were amazing. Everyone loved the food and the wedding was just perfect! The grounds speak for themselves. It is a beautiful venue with both the elegance of the ballroom and the backdrop of the ocean. It was literally exactly what we wanted for a stateside wedding! I would recommend OceanCliff again and again!!

Setting the standard!
OCEANCLIFF is truly magical and the best place to tie the knot, not just for the beautiful views but the amazing staff! Susanne, Alison, and their amazing team really went above and beyond to accommodate us. Leading up to the big day they took the stress off our shoulders so that we could enjoy it and on the day of continuously checked to make sure we had everything we needed. Their attention to detail is impeccable! Oceancliff is the whole package and I couldn’t recommend this beautiful venue enough!

A dream come true
I had dreamed of the day I would get married in Newport RI since I was old enough to know what a wedding was, overlooking the bridge, the very thing that always gives me a sense of peace and calmness. Getting married during a global pandemic was never part of the plan, but I was lucky enough that Oceancliff and their incredible staff turned our 250 person wedding into an intimate, special, safe celebration with 50 of our closest family and friends. I couldn't have asked for a better team to make my dreams come true. Communicating with Amanda was a breeze from start to finish, she answered any and all questions, and made us feel like a priority when I am sure she had her plate full with many other brides. Alison was great and attentive to all details, truly made our experience effortless. Both the Stephens we worked with, one our captain for the day, and the other was running all things with the hotel/reservations were spectacular. In the eyes of this bride, the day went off without a hitch, and it was all thanks to the staff. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for professionalism, attention to detail, and to be a part of the OceanCliff family. We have gone back to eat at the Safari room and it makes us feel at home. We even booked a stay for our first anniversary! And who knows, maybe a vow renewal down the line!

Absolutely incredible!
Amanda and her team at Ocean Cliff made my wedding an absolute dream from beginning to end. Amanda worked with me for almost two years during the pandemic to plan my wedding. They were flexible, allowed me to reserve a backup date, and never went up on their prices!!! The Ocean Cliff team will not disappoint you.

The best Newport wedding venue!
I cannot say enough positive things about this venue and team! We had such an amazing experience. Susanne was so helpful in painting the vision of our day and getting us setup, and Alison and the whole banquet team were the most organized group of people I've ever worked with! They were always happy to answer a question, or jump on a call... even through all the covid planning chaos. Our day was more than we could ever hoped for! If you want a premium Newport wedding experience, don't look further!

A Wedding to Remember...
Unfortunately, we were stuck in a bind when another vendor nearby had dropped our wedding arrangements at the very last minute. (Literally 2 weeks before) Our friends recommended that we reached out to Ocean Cliff and we did so by leaving a message. Susanne Day called us back and saved our wedding! She and her staff took charge and made our day the happiest and most memorable one. They were prompt, courteous, professional, and own to earth. Due to covid protocols, they seated our guests comfortably and the facility was SPOTLESS. They took care of our guest's needs as if they were in our own home. We highly recommend Susanne and her wonderful staff at the Ocean Cliff. We hope to share future milestones in the future at their facility.

Wedding of our dreams!
After getting engaged in 2019, we quickly found the venue of our dreams in Newport at OceanCliff. The views, the ballroom, the mansion, all of it is so breath taking we knew it was the perfect place to share our wedding day with our friends & family. Our original wedding date was planned for 10/25/20, we did not know at the time what Covid had in store for us. After many tears & frustrations we rescheduled our wedding 2 times during the pandemic, ultimately getting married on 8/8/21. Through all of the stress, OceanCliff was by our side the entire time helping plan in a state of unknown ,reassuring us that they would make our dream day come true, no matter how it looked. They allowed us to reschedule our dates based on our comfort level as needed, be flexible on changes & restrictions as they came, and most importantly - listen to our concerns and hopes. Our day ended up being the most spectacular version of what we originally planned and we could not be more thankful we chose OceanCliff to host our wedding. The food was delicious, the service & staff was next level, our guests were so impressed and we made memories to last a lifetime! I have heard horror stories over the months of venues shutting down, no flexibilty in postponing or charging a fee to do so, etc. We did not experience any of that thanks Alison and Susanne, they were the dream team!
Do not hesitate booking your wedding here, they will do everything in their power to make your day so special and work with you as the world changes

Most gorgeous venue
Gorgeous venue that knows weddings - we needed a venue that would feel turnkey, and this was it, while providing the most gorgeous backdrop. Guests were blown away, and so were we. Our event captain was also amazing the night of. Rooms were really nice to get ready in (7/36) - due to check out times need to book two rooms for two nights if you want to get ready onsite. Food was wedding food, but good, and we had fun doing the tastings in the planning process. Did a great job accommodating dietary needs (gluten, dairy, etc). After party at safari room was awesome! All our vendors knew oceancliff and it truly made things so easy. Ask them about a schooner aurora event too. Really loved our wedding here and recommend it to anyone!!

Highly Recommend
My husband and I were married in Newport in May 2021 at Ocean Cliff. Jim and the staff at Ocean Cliff were very responsive and communicated with us frequently throughout the pandemic to ensure not only our guest safety, but that we still would have the wedding of our dreams. They provided plenty of options to make the wedding fit into multiple types of budgets. We had our cocktail hour out on the patio and reception in the ballroom. Our friends and family still cannot stop talking about how beautiful the venue was. It was our dream wedding made possible by the staff at Ocean Cliff. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone in the area!

Wedding of my Dreams
My husband and I got married here on 7/14/21. We were planning with Susanne since September 2020, and they were so incredibly helpful throughout the process. Especially with COVID regulations constantly changing. The team at OceanCliff is second to none and our wedding day was absolutely incredible. This place is forever in our hearts!

Dream Wedding!
OceanCliff is the most amazing wedding venue!! I recently had my wedding ceremony and reception at OceanCliff - not enough words to describe how wonderful they are. Not only is the oceanfront setting and grand ballroom absolutely stunning, their team was a true pleasure to work with (especially Susanne and Jim!). We had originally planned to get married in May of 2020, but due to the unprecedented COVID restrictions, we made the decision to postpone our wedding. The team at OceanCliff accommodated multiple postponement dates, and were so responsive and professional through our 2+ years of planning. We were finally able to have the wedding we dreamed of last weekend, just days after the state finally removed the COVID restrictions!! It was the most beautiful day and many of our guests commented it was the best wedding they've ever been to :) THANK YOU so much OceanCliff!! Can't wait to visit on our anniversaries :)

Made our wedding dreams come true!

The Perfect Wedding Venue (any time of the year)
We had our wedding there in March 2020 and filled all the rooms onsite. Everyone was happy with the accommodations. The event staff (shout out to Susanne, Kimberly, Krystal and Stephen) were phenomenal. They were all so quick to respond to any questions or requests I had throughout the entire planning process and on the big day. The hotel venue is gorgeous - we have our amazing pictures (by local photographer Beth Ludwig) to prove it!! The entire experience was so enjoyable and magical; it was as if we owned a castle for the weekend. I highly recommend this venue; I couldn't imagine a more perfect place. Huge thank you to Susanne, Kimberly, Krystal, and Stephen!!!! They were all so helpful, personable, organized, professional, and hard working - a true wedding planning power team!!

Amazing venue!
My husband and I got married at Ocean Cliff on a Friday in late September and it was absolutely beautiful! All of our guests were complementing the venue and its beauty from the start of the reception until the end. Allison was our catering coordinator leading up to the wedding and she was fantastic. We asked a lot of questions and she was always very quick to respond and accommodate anything special or different we wanted to do. Erin was our banquet manager and she was as well excellent! We met with her the week of the wedding to go through everything, even the week of we had last minute changes and she took care of everything and also helped coordinate with our vendors. The day of the wedding she was there for everything, even when we needed to come to Ocean Cliff to take pictures because it became too windy at Brenton Point. The venue itself was spectacular! We had a beautiful day and were able to host our cocktail hour outside, it was incredible, people couldn't stop talking about how pretty it was, not to mention the sunset pictures! They also have the guests go around the property versus walking through the reception room so the first time they see it is when they go in for dinner, it was a beautiful entrance. The layout of the space is excellent as well. The rooms outside the main reception room are perfect for the bar and the photo booth we had. All in all, we cannot say enough about Ocean Cliff, it is the most beautiful wedding venue in Newport and the staff and everyone you work with is amazing!

Used the Schooner Aurora for our rehearsal dinner!
We set sail from OceanCliff's Schooner Aurora for a sunset sail and WOW! It could not have been more incredible. The crew were so wonderful, and the sailing so incredibly smooth; the food was delicious and they were able to accommodate our guests with dietary restrictions with ease. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Absolutely Amazing!!!
We had my son and daughter-in-laws rehearsal dinner at Ocean Cliff in Newport this past weekend and it was absolutely amazing! We had 39 people out in their tent with the incredible water/sunset in the background and it couldn't have been a more beautiful setting. I cannot say enough good things about our experience there. The quality of service, food, professionalism of the teams, and over all experience at Ocean Cliff was impeccable! Everyone there was truly amazing and I would recommend this venue to everyone & anyone looking to have an event there! It was perfect from beginning to end.

Amazing Venue!
I cannot say enough great things about our wedding venue. My husband and I got married here in August of 2017. The location is absolutely breathtaking and the service they provide is topnotch! We had a pre- bridal lunch on the upper deck, ceremony outside, wedding reception in the ballroom and an after party on the Safari Room terrace! Our guests are still raving about our venue over a year after our wedding! Planning a wedding when living out of town is stressful, but OceanCliff went above and beyond make sure everything ran smoothly.

Beautiful Wedding!!
We had our wedding here October of 2017 and we couldn't have been happier with the entire experience. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Amanda who was amazing! The grounds are just so beautiful as is the venue. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food and everything went just as planned. Also, many of us stayed multiple nights in the rooms which are very clean and comfortable. So happy with how our special day turned out and can't thank the staff at OceanCliff enough for everything they did! Can't wait to go back and visit!!

We held our rehearsal dinner at Safari Room at OceanCliff and had a wonderful evening! We chose the Safari Room because we wanted a restaurant in Newport that could handle a very large party and heard some wonderful things from people who had eaten at the restaurant. We worked with several people, all of whom were easy to work with and extremely helpful in creating a menu and setting a space for our rehearsal dinner. We started with cocktails and passed hors d'oeuvres on the lawn then moved inside the restaurant for a wonderful lobster and steak dinner. The event coordinator Ashley was fantastic and her team of waiters and barstaff made the evening run so smoothly. The food was fantastic! Everyone that attended had a wonderful meal. Safari Room was even able to accommodate a group of people who arrived very late because of flight troubles! I was so impressed that the evening ran so well especially since there were two other events going on at the same time and the restaurant had customers. Thank you for helping us make a wonderful evening!

I cannot begin to express my gratitude to OceanCliff and their staff. My husband and I are from our of state and really had no experience in Newport at all. OceanCliff made everything so easy because they are true professionals. So much of our planning they were able to take care of (tables, chairs, linens, etc. all included in the price), and they were able to give awesome suggestions when we had questions. Our ceremony got rained out 10 minutes before I was supposed to walk down the aisle and while they did everything to make it work (they literally were blowing the grass dry down the aisle with an airblower), we couldn't make it work. That said, the team reset the ballroom and moved the entire 150 person wedding inside in 10 minutes! Amanda, our sales rep and Sara, our banquet manager in particular were incredible and made us feel confident through the whole process that they had everything under control. I would definitely recommend OceanCliff to anyone who wants a beautiful and well-run venue.

We just had our wedding here on the weekend of May 19th, 2018. It was absolutely perfect. It was cold, windy and rainy but the venue was so flexible and allows for the perfect setting under any circumstances! We held the ceremony inside and they were constantly watching the weather to see if we could switch anything to outside at all times, right up until the ceremony. It did not matter at all that it rained, because the ballroom was absolutely gorgeous and our guests were able to stay warm and dry throughout the evening. The food was incredible and the staff was perfect. I can't say enough about how wonderful everything was, from start to finish. I would definitely recommend OceanCliff to anyone getting married and wanting beautiful views, a wonderful planning experience and amazing food.

Oceancliff is truly the perfect wedding venue. My wife and I chose it because of the beautiful location but, in every aspect of the wedding planning process, Oceancliff exceeded our expectations. Of course, the wedding was beautiful (even though there was heavy rain on our wedding day) the food was superb and the service was impeccable. However, the real strength of this venue is that they assist you at every stage of the wedding planning pr5ocess and they make the planning process both manageable and actually a lot of fun. I cannot recommend Oceancliff enough, there really is no other choice for a Newport wedding!

We just got married at OceanCliff this past Saturday (10/7/17) and I don't even know where to begin - our experience was absolutely amazing!!! We couldn't wait to get on here and rave about our experience as well as thank the whole OceanCliff staff for providing us with the best memories and a place to return each year to celebrate. We worked closely with Amy throughout the whole planning process and she was so kind and accommodating, from working with special dietary requests to easing any planning anxieties that arose. There was a wedding in the morning before ours at night and the staff helped us plan in detail to make sure we understood exactly where we were able to get pictures on time and ensured both wedding parties were accommodated with what we needed on schedule.
Additionally, KC was our coordinator and was seriously amazing (don't know how he does it)!! He made sure everything ran perfectly on the day as did our incredible captain, Gail, who was incredibly kind and made sure we got to have all the delicious food - don't know what I would have done without her! All the staff made sure everything was absolutely perfect and everything went off without a hitch because of their work. We also had our next day brunch at the Upper Deck and ordered lunch from Safari Room on the wedding day - both were excellent and everyone raved about the food. OceanCliff truly knows how to make a wedding spectacular and I couldn't be prouder to be an OC bride! We had the best time and on behalf of both of our families, we are SO thankful. If you are looking for a Newport wedding with gorgeous views, go NO further than OceanCliff!!!

We got married at OceanCliff on 9/9/17 and it was absolutely perfect. First of all, our wedding coordinator, KC, was amazing. He was totally to the point, professional, and got everything done and done well. At one point I realized that I had forgotten to bring our card box (and I live in Boston so going back to get it was not an option) and he found an awesome alternative to use as a card box that was totally perfect (and honestly better than what I was planning to use). KC made sure everything went on time, ran smoothly, and consulted me whenever/if anything came up which I really appreciated. We also stayed at OceanCliff I and II and he brought our lunch (plus an extra bottle of champagne!) to our room himself which I really appreciated. In the lead-up to the wedding I worked with Amy McCoil to plan the layout, catering, and other specifics of the wedding. Amy was very responsive, helpful, and would field so many emails from me every week. I'm not kidding when I say there were times I felt really awful about how many emails I would send and she was always so professional about it. In the end it was the perfect day and I have the team at OceanCliff to thank for that. If I had to do it all again, I would pick OceanCliff in a heartbeat!

LOVE LOVE LOVE OceanCliff... Amanda in the sales department is a doll! She broke down all the charges, and every detail about how everything would work, and made it all very easy to understand. Kimberly was amazing and so patient with me throughout the planning process. And for the day of, ASHLEY AND BREE ROCKED IT!!!! Bree was our ceremony coordinator and she was on point!!! I didn't have to worry about anything! And Ashley was our reception coordinator, and well, she's AMAZING!!! I didn't have to worry about if things were done, where things were, where we were supposed to be, or what we were supposed to be doing... she took care of everything... it was literally effortless working with these two of the day of.... Couln't of asked for a better team.

Our wedding at OceanCliff was truly a dream come true! The view both inside and out is to die for and we could not have been more happy with how both the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and afer party turned out (the insanely gorgeous sunset didn't hurt either!). The sales and catering teams at OceanCliff were so helpful and professional throughout the entire experience. I will never forget the sense of relief I felt at our final on site meeting just days before the big day when Ashley, Olivia and Liz had me hand everything off and took over from there -- my binder of charts, materials, schedule and endless notes...they truly took everything and made it happen the day of. They coordinated with all vendors and kept everything on schedule. All my husband and I had to do was be there and enjoy every last drop of our incredible day. We're so happy we went with OceanCliff and could not be more grateful for the entire staffs efforts. Thank you, OceanCliff!

WONDERFUL!! We booked our rehearsal dinner at Oceancliff on their upper deck, it was a dream come true with a beautiful background and a gorgeous tent. Our family was blown away. Shauna was perfect to work with, she took care of everything that night and even add some extra flowers around the bar and buffet to give it a nice touch. She had such wonderful attention to detail. Doug and I can't thank you enough for everything you did that night it was wonderful!

The pictures of this venue alone are simply stunning, which is what first attracted us when we were shopping for venues. I never expected to be so blown away by the service they provide. We were married in April 2016 (off-season pricing in Newport is amazing if you are open to it being a little chiller, we ended up with the most amazing sunset). As a well-oiled machine, they were super responsive and have the wedding process down pat. We were able to reserve all the guest rooms for the weekend so really made OceanCliff our home for the wedding. The staff was the best. Stephen at the front desk would chase me down if he saw me carrying anything and made sure to accommodate any request. Loved him. The girls that did our planning meeting (Amy & Ashley) were very detailed and made sure that we were happy with everything. Then they basically took all the work off our hands and we were able to enjoy the weekend without running around to coordinate decor or vendors. The day-of went every smoothly. My dad nicknamed Ashley the Sergent. She may be little, but she runs a tight ship. Olivia and Kelly were right behind her too. They were so much fun to work with that they felt like friends by the time the ceremony came around.
We ended up having our ceremony and cocktail hour indoors due to the wind, but having those windows made it perfect. Our pictures came out stunning and we couldn't have been happier.

Oceancliff was truly our dream wedding venue.
We had spent quite a bit of time looking at many wedding venues. We'd found several that we really liked, but nothing that we both were absolutely in love with until we walked into Oceancliff. As soon as we walked into the Oceancliff ballroom, my (now) husband turned to me and said, "Just tell when what day to be here." We were sold!
Once we knew we wanted to get married at Oceancliff, we knew we needed to figure out how to afford it. Getting married anywhere in Newport is pretty expensive, so we knew we were going to have to get creative. Fortunately, OC has various pricing options for different months/times of year. We ended up selecting a Saturday in early April, which gave us nearly the exact same wedding that you'd get mid-summer (minus the outdoor ceremony and 80 degree temps, which we were fine with) for nearly half the price. If there are any other budget-conscious brides looking at OC, I'd definitely recommend going in with an open mind and considering all times of year. The day we booked OC, it was snowing outside and the views from the ballroom were absolutely gorgeous!
The entire OC staff was AMAZING while we were planning our wedding. I could go on and on about how helpful they were, but that would take up way too much space. We had two long, sit-down meetings prior to our wedding: One six months out, and one two weeks out. During both, we went over extremely detailed timelines of the wedding day. The staff working with us on our wedding gave us numerous resources to reference when considering food, drink, seating, table organization, ceremony, etc.
I'm so, so thrilled that we were able to host our wedding at Oceancliff. They truly are a group of people who know the wedding industry, and we felt so comfortable handing off all of our final details to them in the days before our wedding. I highly recommend OC as a wedding ceremony and reception venue.

We had our wedding at OceanCliff at the end of October. I cannot say enough about how beautiful the venue was and how professional the staff were. They were so organized and responsive throughout the entire process. The tasting and final meetings were extremely organized and fun (thanks, Amy!), the ceremony was beautiful and Olivia did a fantastic job of making sure everything ran smoothly, and the reception was AMAZING, thanks to Bri and the Captain. Bri was on top of everything and made sure the night was perfect. She even packed our car up for us with all of our decorations and extras while we were enjoying the after party at the Safari Room!
You can't go wrong at OceanCliff and you can't have a more beautiful venue, delicious food, fantastic service, and tasty drinks. THANK YOU AGAIN!

Ocean Cliff is the best wedding venue! They are consummate professionals, who can execute your dream wedding flawlessly. We were married on October 11th at Ocean Cliff and we had the absolute best wedding thanks to the staff. It is a stunning venue that looks like a castle with sweeping ocean views. The planning process with our sales person to the on site coordinators was seamless. They have it down to a science and they instill a lot of confidence throughout the process. They were able to see our vision, accommodate our needs, and make any changes we wanted. Everything was coordinated perfectly! They managed the vendors and set up, and executed our vision impeccably. The flow was most important to me, but I was prepared that we probably would stray from the timeline, but Ocean Cliff made sure everything happened on time. It was the most perfectly timed event with no waiting or lag time for the guests. The food was the best wedding food I have ever seen or tasted. We chose surf and turf of beef tenderloin and lobster tail and it was the most beautiful presentation and delicious. Also, it was served quickly and precisely. We were assigned a captain who catered only to our needs, ensuring we always had a drink and had something to eat if we wanted. At the end of the night, we left the staff our car keys and they packed up all of our wedding accessories, gifts, etc. into the car. We went back the next day to get our car and to thank the staff profusely for making our dream wedding come true. I can’t speak highly enough about the level of professionalism and competence displayed at Ocean Cliff. Everyone was so kind, easy to work with, and truly wanted to make our day special. If you are considering a Newport wedding, Ocean Cliff is the best venue you could choose. We highly recommend them!

Our wedding at oceancliff was like a dream fairy tale wedding come true and I totally attribute that to Oceancliff and the staff. Everyone was so accommodating and professional. My husband and I were treated like kings and queens! Ashley managed the event and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. The staff at OceanCliff is absolutely incredible. Fomr the banquet team to our ceremony team to the hotel staff, everyone was wonderful. We had Jodi as our banquet team captain and she made the day go smooth and enjoyable for me and my family. Stephen and Dana in the hotel department were also wonderful and Alyssa with helping with our ceremony. I didn't have to worry about anything, the OceanCliff took care of it and made it a pleasant experience. There are other great venues in Newport, RI with great views but OceanCliff tops it all. We chose a daytime wedding so we would be able to enjoy the oceanview and views of the Newport bride. Look no further than OceanCliff.

Ocean Cliff went above and beyond as a reception venue for our November weekend. They truly exceeded our expectations in every way. They covered everything we wanted/needed and more! From our initial meeting to the after wedding brunch they were attentive and executed our wedding perfectly. The staff is extremely knowledgable and friendly and helped calm all of our wedding anxiety with their smiles and re-assurance. The guests at my wedding were blown away by the beauty of Ocean Cliff as well as the food and service. OceanCliff was great. Prior to the wedding, Amy worked with us to craft a menu that would accommodate all the vegetarians and the picky eaters! She was so patient and answered all our questions! She also came up with a bunch of creative ideas to make our wedding day even better.
The day of, both Alyssa and Brianna were amazing. Brianna made sure that we ate and that everything went smoothly the day of the event. OceanCliff is gorgeous. Our wedding was during sunset and the pictures are just spectacular. I would highly recommend OceanCliff to anyone for their wedding!

My husband and I were thrilled with every aspect of our wedding involving the staff, service, food, and location of Ocean Cliff. Not being from the area, we had to rely on their list of preferred vendors, and were so pleased with all their recommendations. Throughout the whole planning process we were able to contact the sales and catering team with questions and receive prompt and useful information.
On our wedding day, everything truly appeared seamless. The staff kept us informed and kept our dinners hot while we visited with people at their tables! Our guests raved about Ocean Cliff as well.
We capped off the night with a sunset sail, as recommended by Galen, which offered us the opportunity to continue our celebration with a smaller group. It was absolutely magical.
The staff at Ocean Cliff are experts at hosting events like this, and we are so grateful to have chosen them for the location of our special and memorable wedding day.

Oceancliff was my dream venue from the very first moment I laid eyes on it. I work as an event planner, with high profile clients in NYC, and I was looking to create a beautiful and unique event that truly celebrated my husband and I. I work in 5 star hotels all over the country, on a daily basis, and I have particular taste, and the Oceancliff staff worked with me to create a spectacular wedding. All the while, I planned the wedding in 4 months. They were very attentive, and helped me with every detail (and I love details)! I cannot say enough great things about the professional staff, amazing food, and picturesque location. I've been told by many of our guests that our wedding was the best wedding they had ever been to, even months later. If you have any event here, you will not be disapointed. We would absolutely recommend Oceancliff!

We had such an amazing experience at the Oceancliff! The venue is spectacular but so is the food and staff. Our guests raved about how delicious the food was and how exceptional and attentive the staff were. The day and evening went so smooth that our guests say it is the best wedding they ever attended. Being married at St. Mary's Church and having our reception at the Oceancliff will be an affair to remember for all. We highly recommend the Oceancliff for a wedding venue. We seriously can't say enough good things about oceancliff and their staff. From day one they were absolutely amazing to work with and the wedding was absolutely perfect. Every member of their team from the front desk to the event coordinator went above and beyond and our guests haven't stopped talking about what an amazing experience it was. Everyone was so sweet and accommodating to us and all of our guests (for the whole weekend too as we rented out all of the estate rooms). The food was amazing, the venue is gorgeous, the staff is incredible, the views are beautiful. Seriously book this venue, it's worth every single penny. Our July 4th wedding was a dream! From the moment we first visited OceanCliff we knew this was THE place. The views are breathtaking and the mansion, with its vintage appeal, left our guests impressed and gave us too many beautiful photos to choose from! The food options, quality and overall value were hard to match at comparable venues. From negotiation to planning to execution, everything went smoothly. They worked with our budget and were extremely responsive to our questions and requests. The staff is highly experienced and although they host many weddings there, you never feel as though you are a number. The staff executed our wedding day flawlessly. It is obvious the employees are passionate about their jobs and that translated into the perfect day for us.

I could not have asked for a more beautiful and amazing venue! From the staff, the food, to the scenery itself, Oceancliff was absolutely perfect! You can see everyone who works there is doing their best to make your day exactly the way you had envisioned it. The staff was more than helpful, accommodating, friendly, overall amazing! The FOOD was phenomenal. All of our guests were raving about how great the food was and that the portions were perfect and not your typical little wedding bites. My now husband and I went to college in RI and although we live out of state now, we knew we wanted to get married in Newport. We recently held our wedding, both ceremony and reception, at Ocean Cliff in Newport, RI. It was truly a special day, and made even more special by the assistance of the excellent staff at the OC. From beginning to end they were fun, polite, caring, and on-point. They made everything absolutely seamless. I have gotten so many phone calls and emails telling me how gorgeous the venue was, and how great the service was. I look forward to heading back there for our 1 year anniverasy for a quick getaway. I cannot say enough good things about OceanCliff. I just had my wedding, March 9th 2013, my husband and I are overwhelmed with the seamless and professional outcome of our wedding day. The entire process and planning was smooth and communications were always prompt. Early on, we knew we didn't want the normal wedding setup that OceanCliff is accustomed to, and thought we would get a lot of push back. But, incredibly, they were excited about our ideas and eager to try a new floor plan since it was off season and we were the only wedding that day. We transformed the ballroom into three unique separate spaces throughout the night with our ceremony, reception and dance lounge. The transitions were seamless and we couldn't have been happier.
The day of our wedding we were assigned a "captain", Alyssa, who was absolutely priceless. She was responsible for Jamie, my husband, and I all day. Her sole job was to ensure we had everything we needed or wanted. During photos, before the ceremony, my dress tore a little, she mended it! Having Alyssa removed any unnecessary stress or worry we may have had throughout the day.
The food was incredible and everyone that had steak raved about it. We were able to move into the Safari Room for an after party with food and drinks after our reception. Having our ceremony, reception and after party all in one place really made the day move effortlessly from one event to the next. Our guests did not have to worry about driving anywhere, especially important to us, because it was an open bar for the whole event. And, because it is a hotel, almost all stayed on site and only had to stumble up the grand staircase to bed.
The team of professional that made our day so special included; Galen, Jim, Dana, Christina and Alyssa. They are a great team and highly recommend having your wedding at OceanCliff. If blocking rooms at the hotel, be sure your guests know how to book their room in your wedding block.

We are so happy that our reception was held at Ocean Cliff! It was such a perfect setting that made for a fabulous wedding. The staff was absolutely amazing and catered to our every need. They were so detail oriented and ensured everything went smoothly!

Most definitely THE BEST venue in Rhode Island to have a wedding! I was amazed at the non-stop service, care and love shown to all...not just the Bride & Groom! Nowhere else even compares...

We decided on oceancliff because we wanted our families to have a newport experience. And they delivered! They were so helpful all year and so professional. The service from the minute we arrived until the moment we left was impecible. We were greeted with champagne as we took photos our banquet captain followed us and anticipated our needs all night. Since the wedding all our friends and family talk about is our wedding being the best they ever went to. Food was excellent as well. Was a flawless day.

Oceancliff was the best venue I saw - It wasn't actually on my "list" of places to see, but I was there for a Newport wedding expo and realized how beautiful the ballroom was and the panoramic views. My wedding was Aug 2012 and it was incredible, the staff was top notch, everyone I spoke with was so nice and sweet and the day/night flowed perfectly due to all of their help. They were very accommodating and really had everything covered.

I am copying a note that I sent to the staff at OceanCliff after our wedding, I think it conveys everything we feel about them, their location and our wedding:
I just wanted to send you a quick note and thank you so much for everything. Our wedding night (11/16) and really our entire weekend was just PERFECT! We could not have asked for more from anyone that we interacted with from the start all the way through to the finish. Please pass this on to everyone who was involved, I know I am missing some of the girls email addresses who worked with us the day of and who were there from early morning on setting everything up (Sam and Kim) as well as our captain for the night. The groomsmen in particular fell in love with Bob and Lorraine the bartenders… being as I did not need to go to the bar once bc everything was brought to me, I never got to meet them, but I am still hearing from the guys how awesome they were! There were so many great people I am sure I am missing some in this note.
We have received nothing but compliments from all of our guests as to how nice the place looked, how good the food was and how smoothly everything went. If you were to personally interview each and every one of them they would tell you one by one how great their experiences were that weekend and that is all we could have wished for and more. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend anyone to you and we hope to come back in a year or so and spend our anniversary at your hotel….you all had a part in making our dreams come true.

From the minute we saw the website we were very impressed with Ocean Cliff. Ocean Cliff was one of the first venues we toured. After seeing it everywhere else became second best. We decided to have our wedding during the day to allow for enjoyment of the spectacular view and followed the reception with the Schooner Aurora sunset cruise. Everyone we worked with at Ocean Cliff were professional and accommodating. The food was great- better then the typical wedding food. They had many different packages available for us to choose from. Our wedding day went so smoothly. Every detail was taken care of. We are still receiving compliments from our guests in regards to our choice of venue. A number of people stated our wedding was a "10". We thank Ocean Cliff so much for making our day perfect!

AMAZING!!!!!!
The food, the view, the people, the process and the overall experience was better then I could have imagined. I always knew having a wedding in Newport was my dream, I just could not have imagined what an amazing experience it would be!
I wouldn't trade that day for anything in the world and over and over again I would choose Oceancliff as the place to celebrate!

This venue was amaaaaaazing!!!! Everyone involved in the whole process was absolutely accommodating and so kind. They were so flexible and helpful I had to give them five stars on everything. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone!
