Beautiful venue. The weather was perfect for an outdoor beach wedding. There was plenty of places to take pictures on the property. The food was also amazing. We loved it and can’t wait to visit again for our anniversary.

Ocean Edge is a beautiful venue that offers many different sites and spaces for all your wedding activities. The majority of our guests were from out of state so having everything in one central place was incredibly helpful. We worked with Rita who was amazing! Rita walked us through the complicated process of rescheduling our original date due to Covid. She is organized, efficient, patient and always upbeat. She responded quickly to all our questions and made us feel like we were the only event she was managing. She is truly on top of her game! The Bay Pines Pavilion has been renovated since we first saw it and all our guests commented on how lovely it was with gorgeous chandeliers and strings of twinkle lights. The food was awesome and prepared to perfection! They also accommodated our guests with various allergies. We had to wait a year but the wedding weekend was everything we hoped it would be! Thank you Rita and staff.

We didn’t end up booking our wedding here, but I need to give a shoutout to Rita (OE’s wedding sales coordinator). She went above & beyond to get creative with our budget and customize packages to meet our needs. Out of all the venues we met with, she was by far the easiest and most transparent to work with and made the process less overwhelming. We can't say enough great things, and if you're looking at venues in the Cape I'd highly recommend checking out OE. It had great value that was tough to turn down. Thanks Rita:)

December was a great time to get married at Ocean Edge. Everything was magical, from cocktails in the mansion lobby to late night bites at Bayzo's Pub, it was perfect. We felt like we had the resort to ourselves. Many of our guests stayed on the property, some made it a long weekend on Cape Cod. Dinner in the ballroom was delicious, the waitstaff and bartenders were so friendly and professional, they really added to our celebration and we appreciated that! Pam answered all our questions and worked with us to make the weekend so magical. Our guests are raving about the weekend. Thank You

We held our wedding here in May, and the venue was absolutely great from start to finish - our guests really enjoyed the views of the ocean and the sunset as they gathered for drinks at the Ocean Terrace, the sea breeze and sounds of the waves during our beach ceremony, and the ambience and delicious dinner served at the Carriage House. Several of them came up to us afterward to comment on how much they enjoyed the food (lobster and seafood buffets especially), the atmosphere, and their overall experience, and how the weekend felt like a relaxing beach vacation for them.

Since we didn't use a wedding planner, we couldn't have pulled the event off without the top-notch assistance of Kaylin as our Catering Manager - we found her to be responsive, organized, experienced, and thoughtful with great attention to detail. She helped guide us through the months-long marathon planning process, and on the day of our wedding she helped run the show and took care of the little details (everything from folding napkins to lining us up for the ceremony) allowing us to focus on enjoying our special day.

If you're thinking of having a beach wedding on the Cape I can't recommend Ocean Edge highly enough, not only for the beauty of the property itself but for the excellent food, staff, and service!

Planning my small wedding ceremony in a short period of time was easy with the people at ocean edge! They were easy to connect with, very responsive, and super accommodating! The tooms were lovely, the ceremony room was just right, the spa made me feel beautiful and the food was delicious; which made my wedding perfect!

We hosted our wedding weekend at Ocean Edge this past November and loved every second of it! We were looking for a venue that was willing to be flexible and think outside the ceremony-cocktail house-dinner-dancing box. Our coordinator Kaylin worked with us answering every email promptly, setting up all our additional activities like yoga and golf, and helping us create custom set-ups for our ceremony and brunch.

We decided to host our wedding in the off season and it was great to have much of the resort to ourselves! Definitely consider the Cape and especially OE in the Fall.

I just got married at Ocean Edge this past September and it was the best decision I could have made to have my wedding here! The grounds are so beautiful and really capture the beauty and magic of the Cape. Most of my guests were from the NY/NJ area and commented on how beautiful the venue was and how much they want to come back! . We got married at the beach, cocktail on the terrace and reception in the ballroom and everything went so perfectly from start to finish I still can’t believe it! The food was delicious and looked so beautiful, all our guests kept commenting on how wonderful it all was. Aside from all the food and beauty however I was lucky enough to work with Nicole and she was fabulous from start to finish! She was always responsive to all my emails, met with me in person to relieve my anxiety and answer last minute questions, gave me ideas to help make my day flow and look beautiful, and was always calm, smiling and happy which made the whole process so much easier! She even saved food for my sister during our cocktail hour so she wouldn’t miss it. I couldn’t have asked for a better coordinator and am so grateful to have had her. I had the best day of my life at Ocean Edge and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful Cape Cod wedding with a wonderful staff.

I can not say enough positive remarks about Ocean Edge as a wedding venue. It's not just for summer events, A WINTER WEDDING IS PERFECT THERE! My (now) husband and I just planned our December wedding and are thrilled it was at Ocean Edge. Early into the planning process we quickly realized how much more we were able to do, having our wedding in the off season. The old mansion lends itself beautifully for a winter wedding, with the dark wood and spacious layout. Not to mention we could have our guests stay on the mansion side, making everything very convenient. The bad weather didn't even matter because everything was under one roof. We had an onsite ceremony, cocktail hour in the beautiful mansion lobby (comfortably fit our 175 guests), and reception in the ballroom. Even the informal after-party at Bayzos was just upstairs! Our guests had wonderful feedback on their Ocean Edge experience, staff, and beautiful rooms. Our coordinator Dina was exceptional, working with us in (extensive) detail through every step. She was communicative, helpful, direct, supportive, and simply a pleasure. We can not say enough positive remarks about our wedding-planning process at Ocean Edge, and encourage everyone to consider a winter wedding there too.

We had our rehearsal dinner at Ocean Edge a few weeks ago! Following our rehearsal dinner we had a bonfire for all of our guests in town. It was a huge hit! I worked with Nicole who was very professional and made the planning process stress free. Although I didn't have my wedding here, the rehearsal dinner and bonfire went so well that I wanted to share this!

We had our daughter's wedding at Ocean Edge on June 10, 2017. It was simply elegant and overall an amazing wedding. We couldn't be more pleased with the venue and staff. Our wedding planner, Courtney, was outstanding. She was extremely responsive, accommodating and flexible. She was the ultimate professional! Courtney helped to make our daughter's wedding spectacular and we have such awesome memories. Every person we interacted with was polite and accommodating. We had some elder guests and Courtney ensured timely transportation for them on the grounds. The food was second to none; all our guests commented on the quality of the meal and service. Our daughter's week-end wedding from the rehearsal dinner and bonfire to the ceremony and reception and brunch was magical. Thank you to Courtney and Ocean Edge staff for their outstanding service, venue and food in making our daughter's wedding a hugh success. We were most pleased with our choice of Ocean Edge.

I met several other couples over the course of our event who were looking to book their weddings at OE, and sang Nicole's praises to them. She is personable, professional, funny and on top of everything....me, my husband, the bride and the groom all thought she was fantastic. The double rainbow she ordered after our wedding dinner, providing a spectacular photo op for the newlyweds, was unexpected and exquisite! lol

We had a wonderful experience with Nicole and Ocean Edge as a whole! The night couldn't have gone any better!! We highly recommend this venue!

We got married at OE on October 9, 2016 and wouldn't change a thing!! Dina was helpful not only throughout the planning process but her, Stacey and the rest of the crew there did everything they could the day of our wedding to ensure we had the perfect day! The food was amazing and people said they were so full after cocktail hour before dinner service even started. We got to eat our entire meal which I've never seen happen at a wedding I've attended.

It was raining and the staff did everything they could to try and make arrangements to host the cocktail hour on the ballroom terrace despite the rain. Unfortunately it was too windy and would have been a safety hazard to be outside. The staff quickly made arrangements to have cocktail hour inside and it was still amazing! We were so impressed at how attentive the staff was and how quickly they were able to adjust at the last moment.
This is a beautiful setting to have your wedding rain or shine. You won't be disappointed by anything as the staff goes above and beyond to accommodate you and make sure every detail is taken care of.

My wedding day was perfect-with much credit going to Ocean Edge! With ties to the area I’d witnessed many weddings at the estate over the years, and therefore went into the planning process with high expectations. I’m happy to report that I was not disappointed! Our initial meeting took place in June, and after a tour of the venue and lunch on the Terrace we were ready to sign on. Things were quiet through the fall, so we were pleased to be invited to a tasting in February which was a fabulous event. The food was great and it was helpful to see how things would run the day of the event. When our event was assigned to Stacy Bianchi we met with her to discuss the details. It was clear that her experience with the venue was invaluable and that she was determined to make sure things went off without a hitch. Stacy showed up bright and early the morning of our wedding ready to attend to our needs. My bridesmaids and I prepared in the Captain Bowen Room, which had an amazing balcony and view-making it perfect for pictures ahead of the ceremony! I didn’t have time to check the Carriage House before we left for the church, but when we arrived for the reception everything was set up just as we had wanted. The event ran smoothly from the cocktail hour to the last dance. The food was delicious and the service was smooth and timely. The staff also stuck around after the event to clean up and to help take loads of items to our car. Stacy Bianchi was very present throughout the event. She even brought me a drink as soon as I arrived and stepped in to fix my bustle a few times-which I really appreciated! We were very pleased with how Ocean Edge handled our event (despite some staffing changes), and are appreciative of everything that was done to ensure the day was pleasant for us and our guests. I would highly recommend Ocean Edge for your special day!

My husband and I were married at ocean edge August 6th 2016. We are from buffalo NY so this was a distination wedding for us. Dina made everything so easy for us and helped us pull of the most amazing wedding. The bridal suite was so large the ten of us plus 3 mothers had plenty of room to get ready. The food was insanely good. I've never left a wedding feeling full and I was stuffed at my wedding. Which means they actually have the bride and groom time to eat as well. The entire experience was a fairytale. I highly recommend ocean edge to anyone and everyone getting married on cape cod!!

I had my wedding here at Ocean Edge June 5, 2015. We had all of our guests stay at the Villages and the Mansion, some people stayed one night and others 2 or more nights. Where to start, first the rooms are as clean as a whistle, every single one of our guests commented on how beautiful and clean the rooms were.
Secondly, the food at our rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour and for reception were 100 stars. The chefs at Ocean Edge really know what they are doing and impressed not only my husband and I but our guests as well. All the food came out hot and melt in your mouth delicious. Ocean Edge is very accommodating, we wanted 3 entrees with dinner and Ocean Edge let us have three. Everyone loved the food, and as a bride and groom, that is so important, you hear so many horror stories from wedding, the food was cold, came out late, etc. You won't find that OE, not only is the food hot and timely, it comes out looking like a piece of art, it is almost too pretty to eat!! Thank you so much for the head chef and their staff, for a truly top notch job, every single person loved their food and said how great it was. We even have guest that have never been to Ocean Edge before that are coming back for a vacation or weekend getaway because they were so impressed by the rooms, and the food there and of course the GORGEOUS scenery. You feel like you are somewhere out of the country when you are at Ocean Edge, truly such a magical place.
But the person who truly stands out at Ocean Edge is Amanda Hennessey. She is a true god sent. Amanda, was our wedding coordinator and she was PHENOMENAL. She is professional, smart, takes control, and just flawless. Our wedding went seamlessly smooth all because it was under her control. Words can not express how thankful we are for Amanda. She made me feel like I was her only bride.

Stacy, the Catering Sales Manager, is a delight to work with. Planning was easy with her great response time, happy and positive attitude, and experience in what brides (and grooms) are looking for. There was such relief knowing she had everything covered. Terrific with the details. Thrilled with the results. Our dream wedding came true.
Our guests have not stopped talking about the food. Our 2 appetizer displays and 4 passed were amazing. The quality and quantity were perfect. The dinners were excellent. And we loved that Ocean Edge works with Casual Gourmet in Centerville for all their wedding cakes. It was SO good. And so many options to choose from.
The hotel room the night of our wedding was just amazing. The resort has been renovating each area and everything was perfect.

Awesome location, awesome food, the carriage house is amazing, the staff wonderful and our catering manager Heather the best. Gorgeous wonderful time and day. A++++

We loved Ocean Edge! We had our ceremony on the beach and the reception in the Carriage House. The beach was crowded, but it was 4th of July Weekend, so that's to be expected. The OE team did a great job in making everyone else stop what they were doing so that we could have our ceremony uninterrupted.
The Carriage House was beautiful, with a beautiful view out to the water (and free fireworks!). The beautiful patio was big competition for our DJ. There were speakers outside, and the weather was beautiful, so most of our party was hanging out on the patio enjoying the night.
The food was AMAZING. We had a station package, and I've NEVER been to a wedding where people went up for seconds and thirds at a buffet, but they did at ours!
The OE staff was wonderful. We worked with Heather, and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. We had our rehearsal dinner at OE in one of the private rooms with a bar set on the balcony. It was absolutely stunning. And went off without a hitch.
Most of our guests stayed at Ocean Edge, and everyone was raving about the resort and the rooms. We honestly can't wait to go back!
The following night we had a bonfire on the beach which was just beautiful. It was so relaxing, making s'mores watching the sun go down, while having a glass of wine on the beach. What more could you ask for?
I'd recommend OE to anyone who's looking to have a beautiful wedding on the beach over and over.

From the second I saw OE I knew I HAD to get married there. Not only it is gorgeous but it enabled us to get married on the beach which was our priority. We had visited some other venues in the area and none compared to OE. Our coordinator, Rita was AMAZING! We LOVE her! She welcomed all of our silly questions and made sure our wedding day was perfect. The food was excellent and the rooms are decadent. I highly recommend the beach bonfire the night before the wedding, complete with smores:) It made the whole weekend, second only to the wedding of course;)

The team at the Ocean Edge were wonderful to work with...I very rarely heard "no" and they were always willing to work with new ideas and plans. The new ballroom is absolutely beautiful and we have not stopped hearing about both the room and the terrace where we had the cocktail hour. Not only do they provide a phenomenal wedding day and wedding package, but they are happy to help you organize an entire weekend of events for your guests...they have lists of ideas and are very helpful in getting things put together for you. The food and service were also perfect...steaks were perfectly cooked...even for a crowd of 200! Everything was amazing...and everyone was a delight to work with.

We decided to get married in 3 weeks time to have family with us before they dispersed at end of summer. Planned a small wedding with the help of the staff. They made it happen . Went very well. Food was excellent. Staff was helpful, especially Dani. Thanks to everyone

Our wedding was flawless in every way, from start to finish. Every single detail, even the small ones were handled as I wanted. The service that we received from everyone was simply over the top - from our exceptional planner Dina who didn't miss a step - to the servers that catered to our every request - to the bartender Anastas who took care of us from the rehearsal throughout the wedding night - even the adorable housekeepers who decorated our room going out of their way to make our day special. Even though we were married at Ocean Edge over 6 months ago, we still have family raving about the food. If I was to have but one regret, it would be that I wish I had taken less time with pics "capturing the moment" and more time enjoying myself dancing and catching up with friends. Seize the moment -those memories last longer than the pictures we have yet to look at! Ocean Edge will always have a special place in our hearts and we are forever grateful for everyone who helped make our day simply amazing.

Go for it! Ocean Edge is a fantastic venue for a coastal wedding and the experience is unbelievable with truly fantastic service and food which our guests are still talking about months later. Our wedding planner was better than we could have ever dreamed for.

Exceptional Service, food, amazing accommodations, grounds are immaculate and stunning. true True professionals. A true joy to work Jennifer MacNaw, Chef and Hellena Webster. OE exceeded all my expectations and I had a lot and a lot of logistics to manage. The weather wasn't totally cooperative and the staff didn't miss a beat. Our guests were blown away by the golf, staff, accommodations, food and service. OE and their team was very accommodating and willing to work with you and negotiate... Tremendous experience and we plan to be back. It is a high priced resort so had we not chosen off season we may not have had as many guests stay there which would have taken away from their experience as the point was to be in inclusive resort and OE afforded a tremendous experience for our out of town guests ( rail trail, pools, beach, etc).

Cannot recommend Ocean Edge highly enough. We were supposed to have an outdoor ceremony and reception, and unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate. Stacy and her team came up with a fabulous "Plan B", and worked with us to ensure that all of the details were carried through in our new plan.

People raved about the food (said it was the best they had ever had at a wedding) and the Mansion and grounds are truly impressive. Our wedding was more than we could have ever asked for!!!!

We had a great experience with Ocean Edge. My wife and I live out of state, so we were very nervous about planning a wedding from so far away when we didn't have any family close by to help. Jennifer was absolutely amazing, as was everyone we came into contact with at OE. Once we arrived at Ocean Edge for wedding weekend, we gave everything we brought with us to Jennifer and she took care of getting everything set-up and cleaned up for us! It made the whole day so stress-free and relaxing! While OE is expensive, if you have the funds, it is totally worth it. It was an absolutely beautiful setting, and I am so glad that we were able to have our wedding there!

I really enjoyed working with our wedding coordinator; the was very helpful through the entire process. The day and night went flawlessly and much of this is due to her hard work and the hard work of the rest of the staff. We were one of three weddings on the site that day though, which we hadn't realized was going to be the case.

This was definitely the perfect choice for our wedding and by far one of the best in the area, based on the dozen or so we looked at.

Oceans Edge was so many things for us, it was gorgeous, you couldn’t find a more beautiful place filled with options for a wedding wether it’s on the beach or or their lawn the entire place is breathtaking. The staff there were respectful, polite, helpful and so welcoming. They practically leap at the chance to assist anyone in need and they do so with a smile, proof of that for me was when I was just about to walk the aisle when I realized I left my bouquet at the spa, sadly I decided to carry on but was saved by a tap on my shoulder! It was a staff with my bouquet, he ran all the way to the beach to ensure I got it without me even asking. I would refer them to anyone! That place was amazing!

Our Ocean Edge wedding was a dream. Honestly. Several people have commented (both during the reception and in the weeks following) that it was one of the best weddings they've ever been to! The food was DELICIOUS. Honestly I'm still dreaming about that veggie lasagna and I wish I could order it again. And there was so much food!! Our guests devoured the raw bar at our cocktail hour, which took place on the Terrace. What a view! Courtney, our wedding planner, was there the WHOLE NIGHT. Seriously!! She was an angel, I swear to God. She responded to all of my emails promptly, she was so helpful as we were planning from a distance, and I don't know what we would have done without her. She's awesome.

We had a bridal brunch the next morning that went off flawlessly.

I took off a few points because of our initial experience; we booked OE as a venue 2 years before the date. Long time! But even a year before the date, we were starting to ask relevant questions, and Stacy was *extremely* slow to respond (think not responding to emails for more than a month at a time) and sometimes impossible to get in touch with. Not only that, we were "assigned" to a guy named Ray, who emailed us once, then when we tried to get into contact with him again he apparently no longer worked there?? We were finally put in contact with Courtney in February for a September wedding. After that everything was fine....but for a minute there we were really worried we had made the wrong choice of venue!!

Ocean Edge Resort was a gorgeous, and the service was phenomenal to kick of a great wedding weekend. Stacy is sooo busy so she was hard to get in touch with during planning, but we were only a rehearsal dinner and she had so many weddings to plan- so understandable. We got an open bar option for 30 people- that was def. the way to go- she helped us come up with a plan for that. And the food was perfect. And I loved that we could have the bar out on the terrace. It was great that we had our reserved room and terrace but we could wander down to the fire pits and enjoy the whole place- the gorgeous views and the great bar down below as well. Great place. Looks like it would be beautiful to have a wedding too!

Ocean Edge was the perfect venue for my summer wedding. The staff on the wedding day was exceptional, along with my coordinator Jen. The only drawback was my welcome pales were not distributed to every guest even when I provided a wedding guest list that matched the room block information. The food was amazing and so was the entire night. From the ceremony to the reception and brunch the next day, all my guests were beyond happy and impressed.

Amazing venue. Catering was fantastic. We love to return! Always a pleasure doing business with them.

It’s taken me about 3 months to write this post but I figure better late than never. After getting engaged I spent a month searching different venues. We looked high and low for the right setting. I narrowed it down to three: one in Situate, one in Cohasset, and Ocean Edge. All three were similarly priced and offered only a few dates available for 2021. Each had charm and felt doable but Ocean Edge felt right. I had to trust my instincts. We knew we’d be a pandemic wedding and limited our guest list to 50. Upon meeting, Rita was very welcoming and flexible with our requests. Our food tasting went well and we had a great experience for most of our time working alongside OE. My one complaint is that (and I read this prior), there truly was staff turnover. We were assigned to a coordinator who seemed great but did not have any desire to communicate with us. About 3 months out from the wedding, I started to feel very odd about her lack of response to an email. Well, lo and behold, she left OE but no one had informed us. Our wedding had slipped through the cracks. I tried for months to plan each detail on my own hoping that someone would respond to my emails with no luck. (The wedding entirely paid for at this point). The *week* before our wedding, we heard back from Rita. She was very apologetic and concerned for us. Luckily, because I had planned each detail myself - it was just a matter of relaying this information. She passed us over to a new coordinator, Kaycee, who worked with us from that point forward. Kaycee was very professional and made sure that our day went according to plan. We got married on the beach during a perfect September day and had our reception at the Carriage House. Our bartender was wonderful and signature drinks a hit. We got several compliments on the food and atmosphere. I have a few regrets about the day but honestly very minor. I know our case was an exception due to the nature of this industry and the times we are living in. If I could do it all over again, I’d still pick OE and make very few changes. The beach is a perfect place to say “I do”. If you’re considering, I think you should spend the night and really lean into the idea of this resort.

We had a great wedding in the Carriage House. Our wedding planner was great. The only negatives I would say are that the dinner took a very long time to be served and there is a lot of turn over of employees so you may not have the same wedding planner through out the whole process. The food is great and the Carriage House was perfect for us.

Just got married at Ocean Edge and had an AMAZING time. Things that I loved... we were able to explore many aspects of Ocean Edge over our wedding weekend. Rehearsal dinner in the mansion, welcome party at the beach, bridal suite in another room in the mansion, ceremony on the front lawn, cocktails on the terrace, dinner and dancing in the tent, and brunch in the Linx Pavilion. It was literally an experience for our guests and we got SO many compliments on the venue. We also got great compliments on the food (we did the buffet), and our wedding coordinator was fantasic (Heather). We did have a few hiccups during our planning process, but Ocean Edge's catering and event manager addressed our issues promptly. Overall, although the venue is somewhat pricey, had a great experience and I have no regrets.

I loved the setting of Ocean Edge for our wedding. It had both the ocean/ beach and a big beautiful mansion. Overall, we were happy with the site and our coordinator. Our reception was held in the newly added ballroom, which accommodated a large group (approx. 200) plus stations, a band, and a large dance floor. We were worried about space, but everything worked out. The service was excellent and our coordinator helped things to move along smoothly. Ocean Edge was flexible in creating our menu and the food was delicious! We went with three stations and all our guests raved about the food! They were also helpful and flexible in the timing and schedule of the event. The site is huge and offers a variety of options for other events including golf for the men. We also used the site to hold our rehearsal dinner and welcome party (in a mansion room) and farewell brunch (Linx Pavilion). One negative is that there are often other weddings taking place at the same time, so we ran into some difficulties when we were trying to take pictures. Another challenge we encountered as our wedding approached, was getting final answers from our coordinator. They were slightly disorganized and were lax in final decision making. I see that others mentioned this as a challenge and I would agree it was at times! However, in general, I think they were trying to make us happy and meet all of our requests.

I will say that my review will be very honest, and if you are a couple that wants only your wedding taking place this day - Ocean Edge is not the venue for you. The day we had our wedding was a Sunday of a long weekend and I believe a total of 3 weddings (including ours) took place. The only ONE time I saw the other bride was at sunset - with their photographer) were trying to capture the AMAZING sunset! Believe me, I didn't mind seeing other wedding parties - let's celebrate!
We had our reception in the bay pines pavilion, which is basically a permanent tent, with a carpet inside, it's the closest to the beach and very private and tucked away from the rest of the resort. We had cocktail hour out on the Ocean Terrace and it was spectacular! (Must do the raw bar! huge hit!) Guests raved about the appetizers and views of the ocean.
We were assigned Dina Maligno as our venue coordinator for our wedding reception. I as many brides i'm sure, had a million questions for Dina 12 months too soon! Dina is very knowledgable and is there to work with you. DAY OF: Dina went above and beyond. I had a little panic moment the night before on how I would exactly get ready, and set up the tent. She swooped into the bridal lounge we were in, took all the stuff down to the tent and her and her team assembled the tent. She greeted us when we came back from the ceremony and had a little area set up for us so we could re-group and even grabbed us some beverages. Once we joined the guests for the end of cocktail hour, the staff made sure myself and my bridal party ate some food, which was really great! She was with us right up until dinner and then Lucas took over for the remainder of the night and was also very helpful with any questions we had. We did originally have a beach fire set up, but due to Hermine rolling in later, they gave us the option to cancel - we opted as it was quite windy. Dinner was also amazing - we opted for the stations, clam chowder was a huge hit!

I began working with Jackie in December 2012 and was concerned when she suddenly left the resort in the spring and I was assigned to another sales manager 4 months before my wedding. Ultimately Stacey did a great job for us but turnover at the resort made her difficult to reach at times. She was simply over-extended because they didn't replace staff that had left until the end of the very busy wedding season. Thankfully they have a hard-working and dedicated team and several people were available to help with the last minute details of the day. Only two issues surfaced; they failed to set up the bar at our beach fire the night before the wedding and the reception room was uncomfortably warm during the reception in the Carriage House. My familiarity with the resort management (I am a member) allowed me to resolve the first issue fairly promptly. I was told nothing could be done about the temperature in the Carriage House.

OER was such a beautiful venue, we were married on the beach. It was a gorgeous August evening, and the ceremony was absolutely perfect! Rita was so excellent to work with, always getting back to me so quickly. She was a joy to work with, love her! We had a very small (eighteen person)intimate wedding at the OER, the reception was in a private room. We were very happy with the venue on a whole level. There were a few hiccups, a handful dinner option came out cold and the desserts were stale. We were also very unhappy with the bartender. The drinks were made poorly, and the mixology was not there.

All together our wedding was spectacular, with a few mishaps!

Leslie is extremely responsive and works well with Brides. Ocean Edge handles the bar and food for the event and they will set up the room with any decorations that you provide.
There is a minimum payment required so make sure your guest numbers will get you to that minimum. Tax, tip and any additional events (brunch the next day) do NOT count towards the min.

Once all was said and done our wedding day was seamless and magical. The process of planning however was a bit unnerving. We had four wedding coordinators with one quitting the week before our wedding due to unforeseen circumstances. However, like I said, they did a beautiful job making our day as seamless and perfect as possible. We had to have the wedding indoors due to weather, and the staff did a beautiful job, the floor to ceiling windows in the ballroom made for an ethereal vibe that felt magical. Just be ready to roll with the punches and trust the venue during the planning process and your day will be perfect!

Ocean Edge is a beautiful venue which is why we selected it to begin with. However, we found the staff to be generally slow to respond to our requests. However, it would be fair to give them credit for moving us to the ballroom when our initial venue was flooded due to heavy rain. I am eternally grateful. I believe one of the earlier reviews hit the nail on the head when they mentioned the administrative issues. It seems that they've had quite a bit of staff turnover since we started dealing with them last year and this presented several challenges in planning our wedding as we ended up dealing with a total of 3 coordinators. However, the venue is beautiful and the service delivery on the day of was great. Just be aware of the potential hurdles in the planning phase.

We chose the ocean Edge because we knew it would be a wonderful backdrop for our wedding. It was just that and the food was great. However, I feel that they have several areas that need improvement internally. the front dest did not distribute the welcome bags properly and even gave some of my guests bags from another wedding. They did not give my guests proper resort information and several guests were double charged for their rooms. While everyone was very nice it was a shame that the front desk seemed lost. Over all my wedding was beautiful and the wedding and reception were beautiful it was just the Hotel admin that could use some improvement.

Melanie's experience is almost identical to mine. I think at Ocean Edge you need to make sure you get the right wedding planner. Mine was terrible. She was always a little rough around the edges, i planned out everything exactly including example pictures of how i wanted everything displayed and that was 90% correct. I was able to check on it throughout the day and the people setting up were kind and responsiveness (their seasonal workers). However, our food wasnt served until after 10 which delayed our band. People held themselves over by eating the entire candy table (so happy i had that!) my wedding planner actually left before the food was completely served. It was very abrupt and there was no notification ahead. And what i found MOST irritating was that at the end of the night i asked for a piece of my wedding cake to try as there were two flavors, THEY COULDNT GET ME A PIECE!!!! They must have discarded the entire thing!!! Also, i never received most of the supplies i brought to the facility, such as my galvanized bins etc back.
With all of the above being said, Ocean Edge thrives on its natural beauty. It is a gorgeous facility, i still think i had the perfect wedding day, and i would do it all over again. I think the things mentioned above are especially frustrating due to the cost you are paying for your wedding, but really all of the issues were based on timing and the wedding planners lack of organization.
My recommendations would be: get Amanda as your wedding planner. Select more apps for the cocktail hour - guarantee your food will be late (we had 3 stations and 3 or 4 different passed hor douvres.. In retrospect i would have added another) Take pictures of the exact set up you want and place the pictures on each tubberware bin with labels. Know they are going to toss the cake.
Also this was my only vendor i didnt give 5 stars, and its 100% due to lack of organization of time, and flaws with the planner.

Overall, my husband and I were very pleased with our wedding reception held at the Ocean Edge Carriage House. The food was tasty and the serving staff were polite and efficient. The wedding coordinator, Stacy Bianchi, did a nice job setting up the dining room along with the other wedding planner we hired. We faced a lot of frustrations, however, dealing with Ocean Edge leading up to the day of our wedding. Our wedding coordinator was changed three times due to staff turnover. Fortunately, we had been warned about the likelihood of staff turnover by reading other reviews, so we hired another wedding planner from outside of Ocean Edge. If we hadn't done so, Ocean Edge's disorganization would have been much more frustrating. Ocean Edge has a high volume of weddings, so we were not able to get the kind of personal attention that we wanted from our reception venue. Our phone calls and emails frequently went unanswered or just received one line responses. Stacy did make an effort to compensate us for our frustrations, however, by offering us a complimentary dinner for four at their restaurant. Ocean Edge is a beautiful venue and we were ultimately very happy with our wedding reception, but we would like to forewarn other couples of the frustrations you are likely to face in working with this venue. Our best advice if you choose Ocean Edge is to hire an outside wedding planner to help coordinate the reception.

Our wedding at Ocean Edge was very beautiful. The staff was so friendly and nice, however not the most responsive. They did not seem to listen to everything I said or asked. Our wedding coordinator went MIA for a long time during my planning - no responses in emails, phone calls, etc. Finally I spoke with the head of catering who told me that she was leaving and instead of alerting us of this they asked her not to respond to us until they figured out their next move - not the best plan. Then they assigned a new employee to help coordinate our wedding. My fiance and I went to meet with her to discuss our wedding plans, sat with her, went through everything, etc. until we felt comfortable with her. THEN they emailed us and told us they were changing that person again. This was frustrating and ended up with things slipping through the cracks. I gave our coordinator boxes and boxes of votive candles and told her to put them all on the table so that it was tons of lights - there were 3 on each table and the next day was handed most of those boxes of votive holders unopened. Little things like that were the most frustrating. All of our table name signs were crooked and messy, etc. However the staff tried and were friendly. Overall I was happy on my wedding day, but my advice would be to TRIPLE and QUADRUPLE check the set-up of your room beforehand.

Well, today I found out that my wedding (which is in 11 days) has completely fallen through the cracks. Apparently there was some confusion about who is our coordinator, because the first one quit half way through the process. I'm trying my hardest to not go off the rails at this moment. I did read reviews warning us of this but we fell in love with the location. Just an FYI to those brides who are wondering. I just sent an email so.. hopefully we hear back and the rest of the wedding goes off without a hitch so that I can leave the review (I was truly hoping to leave). We shall see. Brides, be careful who you book with!

At the end of the day we had a beautiful wedding day but it did not come without a few bumps in the road. Our coordinator was extremely hard to get a hold of and the degree of un-professionalism was OUTSTANDING. I understand that weddings are an industry but for those of us who would like to see this as a magical and perfect day could we leave the business attitude out of it? Every time I would ask a question about a process or a "what-if" I was greeted with a harsh tone and 'Duh' type response. Upon our arrival to the Ocean Edge we met with our coordinator to go over the placement of the large bin of decor and DIY I had which seemed to go in one ear and out the other as nothing I had made or purchased was in the right place come reception time. I was unaware that the Brides are given a Bridal Suite to get ready in the morning of until my photographer asked what room we would be getting ready in, which in my opinion is something the wedding coordinator should make a couple aware of. The rehearsal was an absolute joke and if it wasn't for my celebrant insisting that she be there (which went against our coordinator's wishes) than it would have been an utter disaster. The real problems started during and after the reception when our coordinator jumped ship and a person I had never met before introduced himself mid- reception as the person who would take over from here. As the reception ended the bridal party began packing up the room assuming that was what they were suppose to and with no direction from a wedding coordinator they ended up missing the after-party because they were cleaning. Our wedding cake, which had been whisked away into the kitchen to be cut and served, was no where to be found and because our coordinator was missing as well we had no idea where the cake was and needed to leave for our honeymoon. Long story short our cake was thrown away because we didn't claim it within 24 hours, a policy written no where in the contract. :(

I've been struggling with how to write this review for over a year now. Our wedding day was beautiful. Our guests all had a wonderful time. The food & location were great. The part I struggle with is the service Ocean Edge provides and the staff they have put in charge.

The main issues happened the week of the wedding & on the actual day. I met with Ocean Edge's planner to finalize our wedding day timeline. In this timeline (which she approved) we had scheduled a first look on the beach. The beach was the whole reason I picked Ocean Edge to begin with. Well, a few days before the wedding, I mentioned the first look to our planner and she informed me we would not be allowed to use the beach before the ceremony (because brides can not see each other and there was another wedding immediately before ours). I understand this policy, however this was the first I was hearing of it and the other wedding. When I mentioned that she had approved our first look location she responded "well those things are never set in stone." Never in a million years did I think this was the case when we discussed the timeline. Also, she informed me that we would not be able to use the beach (or even the path to the beach) before OR after the ceremony as there were weddings both before and after. So in the end I had a beach wedding with no portraits on the beach?!

Then it rained. No worries! We had a great rain plan that we had booked Ocean Edge because of. If it rained the cocktail hour would be on the covered area of the patio. We had this in writing. Then it rained and the manager informed me that the patio was now part of the restaurant. Even after looking at my contract & verifying that I did have this in writing, he informed me that their planner had "no right approving that" for me. It was 5 min before the ceremony so I gave up. Their staff put it writing, we booked because of it, but it didn't matter. Because if this I cannot recommend them.

We chose the Carriage House for our Reception, and, other than the food and beverages, That was the only thing that was amazing about our Ocean Edge experience. The seating for our beach wedding was coned off with soccer cones. There were people sunbathing, walking by, and gawking while our ceremony was going on. After the ceremony was over, getting onto shuttles was a cluster. Taking pictures was also a nightmare, as we had no guidance and were being shuffled around by Heather, the wedding coordinator. The feeling I got was not one of a bride, but one of a customer. That there were just looking to book their next event. The venue is beautiful. Just make sure you have an outside wedding planner.

So we went through 3 different wedding coordinators while planning our wedding. The first one I didn't find out about for almost 2 weeks. Emails went unanswered it was super frustrating. The second one got a promotion 50 days before the wedding. We at least got a phone call right away about him. We were then placed with a new coordinator who was sweet.. Double check all the invoices you get. The day before the wedding they hit us up for another $3000 and said it was an accounting error. If you are like me and get ish done right away then this place is for you, if you need help and don't do things in a timely manner then id think twice about this place as wedding coordinators seem to change a bit

Definitely don't recommend Ocean Edge unless you are dying to get married on the Cape at a not so horrible price. They are a wedding FACTORY! In fact, some vendors I know refuse to take on brides getting married at OE because of it (I was born and raised on Cape and know several people in the wedding industry). They don't have the best reputation. I was a bride on Friday (9/3/21) of Labor Day weekend and ran into at least 3 other brides in the 36 hours I was at the venue. I also had to reach out to start planning the wedding since as of the first week in August, I hadn't selected my meal choices, etc. I was told I have plenty of time and had a call on 8/16 to go over everything for our 9/3 wedding. At that point, I learned my Welcome Party that we had booked to follow our rehearsal dinner was nowhere in my file (I had three coordinators during the 2ish years it took from time of booking to getting "married"). My other vendors sent me questionnaires and follow-up emails, etc. I take some responsibility since I never reached out either (due to building a house, I was slammed). I also tried to cancel my wedding in February or March of this year and they wouldn't let me (I get it...I had a contract but then they reached out to me to move my time so they could fit yet ANOTHER bride in on my wedding day so clearly they could have filled my spot). Anyway, Rita was great to work with when we actually worked together. I think it is just the culture of the venue. I have friends that are wedding coordinators for resorts that would never schedule more than one wedding on a day but Ocean Edge seems to just see dollar signs. If I could go back and do it all over again, I would have gone Wychmere in Harwich (it was a similar price but had a higher admin fee). I will say the only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because Rita is extremely nice and had to deal with a lot of turnover under her. I also figured I need to extend a little grace due to the pandemic. That being said, a lot of the issues that arose had little to nothing to do with the pandemic (like the welcome party that we booked BEFORE COVID started). If you want to feel like a number, by all means, be one of the 6+ brides getting married at Ocean Edge in a weekend just like I was :)

I don't even know where to start, the number of things that went wrong was ridiculous. The venue is beautiful but the people running the place need to be replaced with those who actually know what they're doing. They will flat out lie about cost and services just to get your wedding booked, Rashmi in particular. Don't get me wrong, we had an amazing wedding, but that was because of the time and effort the bride and groom (my wife and I) put into planning. From the coordinators all the way up to general management are in way over the head. The lack of communication we received was utterly scary and created way more stress than we needed. Our first coordinator responded to less than half of our emails, and when she did, we received half baked responses that only created more questions. Then, after radio silence for months, and with only a month before the big day, they email us informing us we have a new coordinator where we basically started from scratch... WHATTT?!?!

The second coordinator, Pam, was very nice, but had no business being a coordinator. Information was lost and we had to scramble last minute to fill her in on details we finalized weeks prior. We had to rewrite the processional line (which was 35 people) minutes before the walk through because she lost the folder, and we ended up forgetting people which we felt terrible about. They're certainly a wedding factory because we had scheduled a meeting with the coordinator to go through a few final details the day before our wedding but we got cut short because they needed to help another bride. We're paying top dollar and yet they have people filling in for one another because of how understaffed this place is (we overheard some staff complaining about not so great treatment, so I guess that's surprising).

Couple things worth calling out that we were appalled by:
- mattresses in the villages were covered in mold, smelled awful
- hotel rooms were not cleaned, one of our guests had a used diaper in the trash that smelled terrible
- they shut down early the beach fire and the after party at Bayzo's we booked. those are things we paid for the entire time but they shut us down early anyway
- bride's wedding day room was late by an hour and a half, the bridal party couldn't get ready on time because the resort didn't finish preparing. the guy even gave my wife attitude saying be patient
- reception misinformed many of our guests about availability, room rates, length of stay, etc. because of this people overpaid and booked elsewhere.

The list goes on and on. Sadly this place is a money machine. They don't care about your wedding, they care about the income it brings in. The worst part is that we brought this list of issues to the GM and he said most of this stuff is out of our control... which makes absolutely no sense. I mean for crying out loud they served a non-gluten free meal at the reception to the maid of honor (whose gluten intolerant and we made this abundantly clear on our contract) and she got very sick and had to leave early.

The only people I can speak positively about are the bell boys and most of the waitstaff who were wonderful, these guys were hustling their butts off and I wish the bulk of our gratuity went to them instead.

Brides Beware. Unfortunately, Ocean Edge was the worst part about our entire wedding experience. It's too bad, because the place is gorgeous, the views are beautiful, and it's a classic Cape Cod Location. Every other vendor we worked with was absolutely stellar and I gave glowing reviews. We really enjoyed working with Ocean Edge, UNTIL we signed the wedding contract. It was a complete bait and switch. Everything we were initially promised was no longer an option. We were given SIX different wedding coordinators throughout the process (not because we were difficult to work with :) but with each new one, we had to start from scratch. The guest experience from booking and check in all the way through to check out was flawed & it was a poor experience for all who stayed on the property. The level of service we received from the sales & guest relation teams was abysmal. The catering staff & bartenders at the actual event were fantastic, but unfortunately we encountered so many obstacles/stress along the way, it wasn't worth it. I would honestly be very careful working with this venue, it is NOT worth the stress.

DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE. I only signed the contract because I was told that the Carriage House would be completely remodeled to look like their new hotel rooms, which are very nice and modern. I only learned that the CH was NOT remodeled because I asked to see the room THE NIGHT BEFORE my wedding. We were blind-sided, complained, they comped one hotel room, which should have been comped form the beginning since our 100+ guests were already staying. The day of my actual wedding only got worse. Here’s the run down:
1. Another bride was siting on the front steps as my guests arrived. They need to spread out ceremonies appropriately.
2. My ceremony was rain delayed by 20 mins so they cut my cocktail hour 20 mins short to make sure the reception started on time. This made me miss my entire cocktail hour. I asked that they keep the open bar open (since I PAID for these 20 mins) after the reception ended and they agreed to it but never announced it so no one stayed and we lost that time/money. 3. During dinner, they DUCT TAPPED the dance floor together. Like actually black tape to hold the unsafe floor together. I looked up during our meal and could not believe my eyes. I feel like I still have PTSD from the noise of them taping and the shock on my guests faces. It also ruined all our pictures inside since you can see the black grid on the floor. Hideous.4. My only request was to have milk and cake waiting for us in our rooms and charged me $14.They will charge you any chance they have.

I went back a year after and they wouldn’t even let us down to the beach to take a picture for our 1 yr anniversary. We asked the woman managing weddings (someone new and oblivious of how much everyone will hate her) if the Carriage House was ever remodeled and she looked at me like I was crazy, pulled over someone who worked there for 5 yrs and asked them and they said there was never any plans to remodel it. The old bait and switch.

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!
