I was in charge of finding a DJ for a family wedding. Matt was the DJ at my wedding so I called Occasions Disc Jockeys. I am so glad I did. They provided excellent service, making the wedding truly special. Matt’s professionalism, attention to detail and ability to accommodate last-minute changes created a smooth and memorable event. He made sure to play our special requests and offered suggestions that we hadn’t thought of that made the event even better. Matt kept the dance floor lively, with guests of all ages dancing throughout the reception. He was so prepared that it calmed any pre-wedding nerves. Thank you for making our event incredible!

Matt was responsive throughout the booking process and leading up to the wedding. The forms are super helpful and cover everything you could think of! Matt was an amazing resource for our daughter and (now) son-in-law while they were planning their special day! Our wedding had a couple speed bumps along the way, with my maid of honor being unable to attend and our coordinator deciding to stick a random song as the last dance in our timeline packets she sent out to the vendors. But Steve was great! He played a voice recording of my maid of honors speech so everyone could still experience it, and when he checked in with me the day of about our last dance and we realized the mix up he physically ran to his car and grabbed a connector to be able to play our actual song since it wasn't already in the system because of him being given the wrong one in the packet. He kept the party going well into the evening and Got all ages on the dance floor. Everyone had a fantastic time and I'd recommend him to everybody.

You totally took into consideration the scheduling changes and last minute additions. Announced everyone perfectly and kept the night going smoothly. Even helped me out with understanding how to have our schedule go a little more rhythmically. Would hire you again and again. Also came in under our budget. Matt was great throughout both our ceremony and reception, providing music and mics during the ceremony and keeping everyone moving during the reception! He was extremely communicative with us throughout the entire event, keeping us updated on the timeline, song choices, requests, and extra add-ons requested by guests. There ceremony was flawless, without any sound or mic issues. The music was great, transitions were barely noticeable, and everyone was up and dancing the entire night. (which was exactly what we wanted). Even prior to our big day 2.0 (COVID-delayed reception), Matt checked in with us a few times via email and called us the week of to go through all of our requests, name pronunciations for the intros, and any changes we had. Definitely recommend!

Matt kept the night running smoothly and had the guests dancing the entire time. He read the room very well and if a song didn’t appear to be a crowd pleaser, he smoothly (and quickly) transitioned to something that immediately brought people back out. We both felt the night went extremely well and have gotten many, many compliments from guests saying how much fun they had. At any given time, the dance floor was (at a minimum) about 70% full. We wanted people dancing, and that’s exactly what we got! The process was smooth from start to finish in the lead up.

Amazing DJ and Emcee for Ceremony and Reception
We couldn’t have been happier with our DJ Matt from Occasions! We hired them for both the ceremony and reception. They provide wireless clip-on microphones for the ceremony, which were amazing. No fumbling with microphones and wires while exchanging vows, and all our guests could hear us perfectly! He set up in multiple locations for us and emceed throughout the reception to move things along. He was very personable and entertaining but didn’t try to take over the evening like some DJs do. We loved reading through the free advice cards on our drive to our honeymoon. I’m so glad we opted to get those! As soon as you book, you get access to the online portal and forms to fill out to work on as details are figured out. While they are definitely overwhelming at first, they are super helpful as planning progresses.

Occasions DJ was absolutely spectacular! Even before the wedding, Matthew had been in touch with us to answer our numerous questions and make sure everything was correct for the ceremony and reception. We even opted for a scheduled phone call to go over last minute details.
I cannot say enough great things about Matthew. To start you get so much more than just a DJ. This company clearly knows the business and it shows!! We were offered at no added charge their corn hole game and these advice cards for our guests to fill out. We did not use the corn hole (we had our own), but we did use the advice cards. I am so glad we did too because the answers we got were priceless. We did use Matthew for our ceremony. Everything went perfectly. During introductions due to a miscommunication (my fault) we had no one to say a blessing before dinner. Matthew came to the rescue. Thanks to him the issue was fixed and no one had any idea. He was also phenomenal at the reception!! He knows how to read the crowd. People were dancing and having a great time. We would hire him again in a heartbeat!!

We had a blast!
We were so very pleased with Occasions DJs. Right from the start the process was very organized and user friendly. Using their website to enter all of our wedding details and requests was great and really helped us make a plan for the events of the day. Steve was our DJ and he was just wonderful to work with. He kept my husband and I on track with keeping things moving and was great at getting our guests on the dance floor. I don't know what we would have done with out him letting us know when we needed to be ready for toast, and dances and cake cutting. He was also great with finding our song requests. Highly recommend!

Matthew was the utmost professional and, per all of our guests, was the best disc jockey they had ever seen at a wedding or any other event. He kept the party going and was flexible with last minute changes. I would highly recommend him!

Super Fun and Not Cheesy!!
Occasions DJs were recommended by our venue and as soon as we reached out, they were responsive and helpful. They sent us lots of information every step of the way and were so organized. We met with our DJ, Steve, in person and we got such a calming vibe from him! My husband and I hand-picked basically all the songs from ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner, with a super helpful electronic form they have. They really allow you to customize your music to exactly your tastes, while also offering suggestions and helpful feedback. Steve was also very flexible and took requests during the reception. We would definitely hire them again!

Great DJ - quality on a budget
Matthew was my DJ and he did a really good job. The online forms made everything so easy and everything at the wedding went perfectly. The songs I requested were played and the timing was perfect. The pricing is also very good if you want quality on a budget. I definitely recommend!

Matt was awesome from start to finish. The forms he gives you to fill out about your wedding day music are detailed and simple at the same time. He is a great communicator and fulfilled all of our requests exactly how we wanted. He played the perfect mix of music at the perfect volume. Our dance floor was packed all night. Occasions Disc Jockey is like a well oiled machine! After the initial visit, Matt set my fiance and I up with our own online account that had us log-in, in order to organize everything from start to end (and everything else in between)! I absolutely loved it. There was so much more detail in that online profile that I did not even think twice about, but was imperative to helping Matt provide us with a perfect day.
One of the most important things for me was to have everyone on the dance-floor and Matt was able to do that with the best music selection and the best attitude! My husband and I are still talking about how happy we are that we went with Occasions DJ!

We've seen too many DJs who have made themselves the center of attention or who have promoted their business during the proceedings. We really just wanted a DJ who would play music, keep things running, and stay low-profile. And Matthew was EXACTLY what we wanted. He gave us the power to choose the music we wanted to hear, and then he respected our choices -- and added some appropriate choices of his own, which the audience loved. He pronounced our names correctly and kept the reception flowing. And at the end of the night, when my groomsman and I wanted to hear a few different songs, he was more than willing to play music for both of us, in spite of the fact that his time was coming to an end. As my wife can attest, I had nothing but positive things to say -- in fact, I ranted and raved about how impressed I was throughout our honeymoon. Matthew helped make our wedding day one to remember. We cannot thank him enough.

He has very detailed online forms to fill out every aspect of the entire day regarding DJ and music needs. I highly recommend Occasions DJs! Prior to the wedding, we filled out detailed forms online and had a couple phone conferences with Steve. Steve was able to fill our music requests and kept the dance floor packed all night! Our guests are STILL complementing the music and how much fun they had dancing during our wedding. My husband and I care a lot about music (as do our families), and we were nervous about having a DJ that would be able to keep the crowd dancing without offending any of our older and more conservative relatives. We need not have worried, because Matthew with Occasions did an amazing job! He played the songs we requested in an appropriate order based on the way the crowd was moving. He played a great variety of music, kept the night running smoothly and frequently checked in with us. Our guests all had a great time and several commented on how much they enjoyed the music! I really appreciated that when my uncles had planned a creative "surprise" for the reception - he made sure to direct them to me to make sure it was okay to go through with. The DJ can make or break the night and ours was great!

Upon hiring him, he gave me a form to fill out on his website. The form was long, but it had every single detail you could think of. Nothing was left to chance, which I really appreciated, because it meant I could just enjoy the day without having to worry about what was coming next.
The day of, Matt kept everything running very smoothly, and he made sure there were constantly people out on the dance floor.

I planned a surprise for my husband at the reception and he worked with my musician to pull it off. It was beautiful. The ceremony music was perfect and he was quick to tear down and set up for the cocktail hour. He stuck to our style of music which had everyone out on the floor dancing. We chose Occasions DJs as both our ceremony music and reception DJ vendor. Steve was our DJ and he was great. Leading up to our wedding, Steve was very detailed in his preparations to help us with all the details of our ceremony and reception. We received responses right away for any questions we had. On the day of our wedding Steve was very fun, entertaining, and professional. Our entire ceremony and reception ran smoothly. Everyone had a fantastic time and we thank Steve! Several guests commented on how great our DJ was and we couldn’t have agreed more! We would highly recommend Occasions for your wedding DJ!

Matthew from Occasions DJ's did an amazing job! He talked with us the week before to make sure everything was set up how we wanted. He was dressed professionally. He showed up early and played the perfect music while we got ready/set up. The ceremony went off without a hitch. He then played a mix off our music and music to keep people dancing. He made sure to check in with us and our event coordinator to make sure the night continued smoothly and that we stayed on track. Would definitely reccomend this company and Matthew!!

Matt from Occasions DJ's did such a fabulous job at my wedding. He made the night run smoothly because of his extensive pre-wedding questionaire. He was very prepared, pronounced all names correctly and was extremely flexible even during the reception with our last minute requests! He had everyone up on the dance floor, played bride/groom requests only and did everything that we had asked! Couldn't have been happier!!!

My husband and I are so grateful for the amazing job that Matthew from Occasions DJ did coordinating the sound for our ceremony and working as the DJ for our reception. We appreciated how open he was to learning our music preferences, and that he expanded on those tastes to create such a wonderful night of music. We loved the variety of dance music that was appropriate for our multi-generational family and friends to all have a great time. He also kept the evening flowing smoothly -- everyone always was well-informed throughout the night, and reception events flowed very smoothly. I highly recommend Occasions DJ -- they helped to make our wedding reception a night we'll always remember!

Matthew was simply wonderful. Our reception was in an historic museum with complicated logistics and Matthew exceeded all expectations. He has a sensitivity to his selection of music and timing of announcements that is truly a gift. The music was perfect and numerous guests told us how refreshing it was for them to have such a tasteful and thoughtful dj. He even spent an entire day scouting out the museum several weeks in advance! We could not have done better and feel very fortunate to have had him as our dj.

Occasions Disc Jockeys was a wonderful company to work with. It was on my venue's list of recommended DJ's, and I had a great experience working with Matthew from start to finish. I got behind in filling out the MC forms, but Matthew was patient and understanding. He always responded promptly whenever I communicated with him. The extra set-up outside (included in the booking price) was especially great since many of my guests spent most of the night outdoors. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a DJ.

Matthew did such an amazing job with our wedding. My husband and I like a lot of different music and he was able to find and play even the most obscure songs. He was very professional and I was so impressed by how smoothly he kept the night flowing while being quite flexible with last minute changes. I would highly highly recommend occasions to any bride.

Matthew was incredibly professional and responded to my guests' requests perfectly! As a couple, we have very eclectic music tastes, so Matthew did a nice job of playing appropriate music for dinner and cocktail hour and then got the party started (and kept it going!) so that our guests were out on the dance floor until the last song of the night. So many of our guests were saying that they got the best night's sleep after our wedding because they were exhausted after dancing for hours! :)
Also, Matthew's MC forms that he has clients fill out beforehand help you to envision your reception and get an idea of how things will flow. We were nontraditional in that we did our first dance immediately after our introduction and he helped that to flow seamlessly.
Two of our other vendors commented on the fact that we were using Occasions and told us that we had a really good DJ, so that set us at ease even more. They were absolutely correct.
I would hire Matthew again in a heartbeat. Thanks for everything!

He was helpful in providing us with information and gave us easy to access forms to fill out so that the music at our ceremony and reception would be exactly what we wanted - and it was! He did a great job with everything, including playing what we requested, playing songs that guests requested, and feeling out the crowd to play the best dance music. We had a great time and so did our guests! Matthew was fun, professional, organized, very classy and all in all just amazing to work with.
What really stuck out was how understanding he was when I said we weren't sure about having the father-daughter dance and wouldn't know until the day of the wedding, because my dad is bipolar. He was super accommodating and understanding about it, and a complete pleasure to work with!

I highly recommend Occasions Disc Jockeys! Matthew did an excellent job with keeping everything on schedule. He also did the music for our ceremony and it went very smoothly. He played all of our favorite music during cocktail hour and dinner. The dance floor was packed the entire night. No one wanted the dancing to end!

It was awesome that the DJ (Matt) went over all of our song picks prior to our wedding & went over the bridal party names at the reception. We picked all the songs to be played & what type of music we wanted at the ceremony. Very friendly & professional.

I can't say enough good things about Occasions DJs. I was impressed with the way they responded so quickly to my initial inquiries with such useful information. They answered questions I didn't even know I had! And they continued to be very responsive and helpful throughout. Their website ended up being my go-to resource, more than any other, because it is so rich, with everything from music catalogs to how to give a great toast. The reception itself went flawlessly. The DJ paced everything perfectly and every time I took a moment to enjoy the music, a great song was playing. I especially appreciated Occasions advice and ideas throughout the planning process. Since we only intend to get married once it was nice to rely on such an expert who really seemed to want our day to go as well as we did. Our friends are still raving about the party and asking about the DJ. I'd recommend Occasions DJs for any event.

We were so pleased with the organization and structure of the website to form our MC sheet. It was very user friendly and so helpful to have suggestions for songs and/or the order of how the reception should flow. Matthew was extremely professional and willing to bend over backwards for what we wanted. He checked in with us regularly at the reception to make sure we were happy with everything. He kept the crowd engaged with taking their song requests and he kept things flowing so we had maximum participation in dances.
