Cannot go wrong!

We (and all of our guests) loved our cake from Oakmont Bakery! We went with almond cake with the raspberry filling and I feel like it was a hit with everyone! They do have limited design selections for wedding cakes and do not offer fully custom cake but given the price they are well worth it! We ended up choosing simple, sleek cake and had our florist add flowers to the top!

Super tasty

We ordered a two tier almond torte cake and assorted attitude cupcakes for our wedding. They were absolutely delicious!

In the time of the pandemic, Oakmont still made it easy to taste wedding cakes and provide our guests with a delicious option. Delivery to Heinz History Center as well.

Beautiful Inside and Out

Oakmont Bakery truly created a masterpiece for our wedding cake. They are flexible and very easy to work with. We had several photos with components of what we had in mind and they easily pieced it together to make a one-of-a-kind cake that was just what we wanted. Our cake was absolutely delicious — we chose the almond cake with fresh strawberry filling and everyone was raving about how delicious it tasted. We can’t wait to pull out our anniversary cake to experience it all over again!

Amazing Cake

Our cake was absolutely stunning. We provided a cake topper and fake flowers the week of and the final product turned out absolutely amazing. I already can't wait to eat the top of our cake next year!

Best cake ever

Thank you oakmont!!!! My cake was absolutely delicious. I got the yellow cake with fresh strawberry filling and it was delightful. We also got the oakmonter for our sheet cake which was also super yummy.

Not only was my cake super tasty, it was gorgeous. Honestly, taste was much more important to me and my husband especially since we are picky cake eaters. The cake being beautiful was a nice bonus.

Thank you Courtney for making the consultation and the planning process easy. You are a sweetheart!

September wedding reception

We had a small cake for cutting along with cupcakes for our guests at our wedding reception and it was all so delicious! The presentation was also great and the bakery was very professional and easy to work with.

Oakmont was amazing

Oakmont Bakery came highly recommended, and exceeded in every aspect. The cake was one of the highlights of the night, both in taste, and decoration. They were also able to help us with cookies for the guests to take home, the Snickerdoodle and Chocolate Chip were outstanding.

Super easy, fun, and special

From our cake tasting to the actual wedding day, Courtney and her team at Oakmont Bakery were so helpful and professional! Courtney was very knowledgeable, easy to work with, and super responsive. They really know how to make the process special, fun, and easy. The tasting was easy to schedule and we got to try 4 types of cakes and even got to take the extras home with us for free, which made my husband VERY happy! Courtney showed me the book of cakes to get an idea. None of them spoke out to me, but I found a picture of one that I had liked online and sent that to her. Oakmont made my perfect wedding cake come to life! It was just stunning! We decided on a 3-tiered wedding cake that was frosted with a textured buttercream and had dots going around the bottom of each tier. They provide the top layer at no cost since it doesn’t get to be enjoyed until your one year anniversary – I don’t know if I can wait that long! We got 2 tiers and a supplement cake of red velvet cake with a cream cheese filling and a tier and a supplement cake of white cake with a Bavarian cream filling. It was nice that Courtney reached out a few weeks before the wedding to reconfirm all the details before our final balance was due since our headcount had decreased. For those guests who are familiar with Oakmont, they were so excited that was where our wedding cake was from. Those guests who are not familiar with Oakmont, they thought that the cake was incredible and we received so many compliments. Everyone loved the cake so much that we didn’t even have leftovers. Excellent choice and excellent cake! We will absolutely be going back for more and using Oakmont for any and every occasion!

A Perfect Mermaid Cake

Oakmont Bakery worked with us and provided us a cupcake tower and an 8in cake styled just like a picture my wife found on the internet that she had obsessed over for ages since she saw it. The look on her face when she finally saw the cake during our reception was worth any price.

I highly recommend Oakmont Bakery, both for their cake, cupcakes, and dozens upon dozens of cookies! We had nothing but praise from everyone who attended.

Delicious!

Our wedding cake and cupcakes were absolutely delicious! We has an almond cake with raspberry filling and the cupcakes for our guests were almond flavored with buttercream icing and red velvet flavored with cream cheese icing! They were beautifully iced, decorated, and displayed! They were easy to communicate with and were prompt in their correspondences, and I would recommend them to anyone!

Fantastic!

I've grown up on Oakmont Bakery goods, living so close, so it makes perfect sense to use their services for our wedding! Our reception is going to be super small (40 people) so we need something affordable that isn't going to leave us with 100 extra pieces of cake. The price they gave us was AMAZING. The flavors...omg. So so so good. Their yellow cake with raspberry filling. Amazing. They do charge a delivery fee, but even with that, our cake was priced OVER A HUNDRED DOLLARS less than from another bakery, for the exact same design.

Hiring Oakmont Bakery to do our wedding cake was an easy, delicious decision. Courtney was super responsive and helpful. The tasting was easy to schedule and a super helpful option - we got to try 4 types of cake (and take home the extras for free!) We wanted a simple, clean design with delicious cake, which Oakmont delivered! Best bakery

As a frequent flyer at Oakmont Bakery, I already knew I wanted to get our cake there. To start, you actually get an entire cake to taste and that is for just one flavor. With other bakeries giving you a miniature cupcake essentially, Oakmont totally blows them out of the water. They let you choose every single detail from the filling to icing, instead of a pre-determined combination. Compared to other bakeries, their prices are more affordable and their design quality is more impressive.

I knew I would choose Oakmont the moment I went to the cake tasting. I went with the traditional almond cake with raspberry filling, but I had to, to me and my husband, it was so good! It was moist, fresh, and pretty much everything you'd want in your wedding cake. Having a few meetings with them helped solidify exactly how I wanted the cake to look - and they did an incredible job. When I walked into my reception and saw the cake, my jaw dropped because it was so beautiful! Their services of dropping the cake off, and providing anything you need, was extremely convenient and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Oakmont is a timeless and serious choice if you are looking for a baker in Pittsburgh for the most important day of your life!

I mean, it's Oakmont Bakery so you know everything is going to be incredible... But somehow they managed to outdo themselves with our wedding cake! They were so easy and friendly to work with and my wedding cake was perfect! The cake was so beautifully and carefully decorated and it tasted phenomenal. I got so many compliments about it! After we cut the cake I took the slice back with me and very grudgingly shared with my husband before dinner because there was no way I wasn't munching some cake that I have been looking forward to for a year! It was a wonderful experience with a great company and the cake we got was perfect beyond our wildest dreams. Thank you!

I ordered a very specific custom design for my daughter’s adoption shower cake. I provided a picture and they duplicated it to the very last detail!! It looked spectacular and tasted amazing!!!

This was such an easy and delightful experience. Courtney set us up for a tasting session, and we ended up getting a cupcake tower with a six-inch cake on top. Excellent taste (guests commented on the not-too-sweet but delicious buttercream frosting) and we had a variety of cakes (white, chocolate, red velvet, yellow) with the cupcake choice. Value was better than other places I'd looked at too.

Hands down the best bakery in Pittsburgh . From the first initial phone contact, and the taste testing, I knew I was going to use Oakmont Bakery. The staff are super easy to work with and will totally take your wedding cake vision & bring it to life! Not only was my cake gorgeous it was delicious as well, the best cake I have ever had. There was no doubt in my mind Oakmont Bakery would do our wedding cake! Courtney and the team are the best. They are so professional and our cake looked exactly like the pictures I showed her. It is worth the cost to have the best cake around. It was perfect and our guests loved it.

I used Oakmont Bakery for my wedding cake and cupcakes. We initially had an issue with the cake because the icing bubbled. Courtney sent someone to fix the cake right before our ceremony was going to start. The cake and cupcakes turned out perfectly and tasted amazing.

We worked with Courtney throughout the process and had a wonderful experience. The cake tasting alone was fun and delicious! Our wedding cake wound up being delicious and gorgeous. We had a two-tier cake that we cut during the reception and then an additional sheet cake to serve guests. All of the cake was eaten and none was left on anybody's plates which says a lot for wedding cake! We would highly recommend Oakmont Bakery!

Our wedding cake was included in our package with our venue so unfortunately we did not get our cake from Oakmont Bakery. We did end up ordering cookies for the cookie table. They were delicious and they made them fresh for us the day before our wedding.

Oakmont Bakery is the absolute best! We were welcomed to come in for a taste testing, so that we were able to create the exact cake that we wanted for our wedding. We went with two different flavors, which our guests loved. They worked with us to make the exact cake that we wanted, and carefully placed live flowers that my florist provided. I was very happy with how my wedding cake turned out!

Oakmont Bakery has always been my go-to place for baked goods, so when it was time for my wedding cake, I of course decided to go with Oakmont. I chose to do a cupcake tower and a mini cake on the top for our wedding cake. Oakmont was very easy to work with and accommodating for whatever we needed. They set up everything perfectly and it looked wonderful the day of the wedding! We received a lot of compliments on our cupcakes from our guests, so we were very happy we decided to go with Oakmont for our wedding!

Oakmont Bakery was fantastic! For our wedding, they provided us with a two-tier wedding cake, several dozen "Attitude" cupcakes and several dozen cookies. All of this, they delivered to our venue in Saxonburg. The desserts were beautiful and delicious as always! In addition, the staff members were easy to work with, friendly and responded to e-mails in a timely manner. We would definitely recommend Oakmont Bakery!

There is a reason why Oakmont Bakery has this rating. From scheduling the tasting, to selecting the design to just eating the cake. Amazing, delicious, incredible. We got rave reviews from all the guests and there wasn't any left at the end of the night!

Oakmont Bakery exceeded my expectations for my wedding cake as well as cookies. I made an appointment for a Sunday (a very busy day in the bakery) and when I arrived with my best friend we were treated to coffee and cake samples of the flavors I wanted to try. The chocolate with chocolate fudge icing is very rich/sweet. We ended up choosing the chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream icing. Their buttercream icing is amazing! I was provided with a photo album of their previously done cakes, which was helpful. I had several pictures with me of what I wanted my cake to look like and as soon as Courtney and I discussed this she told me my cake could be made exactly to my specifications. I initially was worried that the cake I wanted would be outrageously priced, however I was pleasantly surprised that the pricing was realistic and actually much less than I originally estimated. I wanted rhinestone ribbon wrapped around the bottom layers of the cake and the bakery actually allowed me to buy this myself and deliver it to them to put on cake which was a significant savings over using theirs. Their cookie trays are a great value at 7 dozen cookies per tray for $50. You are able to pick a variety or add/take away certain types of cookies you may or may not want. When I arrived at my reception my cake was delivered without incident and was as beautiful as I had imagined!

My wedding cake was stunning and delicious. Please get the buttercream frosting as this bakery is known for it and your guests will actually eat the cake and frosting. We chose white buttercream frosting, and the cake decorator did an awesome job of creating a design to decorate the cake from a design located on the dress of the bride in my cake topper. The design was also in white, and we added gold ribbon at the bottom of each layer. We also purchased cookies to enhance our cookie table, and the cookies were as delicious.

I think most everyone has had something from Oakmont and knows that their cakes are wonderful. My wedding cake and grooms cake were just that, wonderful. I hunted around Pittsburgh for a bakery that would be willing to do a “naked” cake or one with little icing on the outside. I was told by several that it “could be done, but isn’t a good idea because it dries the cake out” meaning, they make the cakes weeks in advance and freeze them. When I met with Courtney Daniels at Oakmont, I explained what I wanted and without blinking an eye, said yes, we can do that. She explained they made the cake the day before so drying out was not a concern. I selected 3 different cake batters/fillings for each tier and the finished product was exactly what I wanted and beautiful. The cake was just what I expected from Oakmont, moist and flavorful. Since I am from the South, I elected to have a ‘groom’s cake’ in the place of cookie table. (gasp!!, I know.) The bakers at Oakmont created an amazing 3D fondant covered Stanley Cup cake for me to give to my groom. He was telling everyone at the cocktail hour that it wasn’t a cake because it looked that good. He didn’t know it was until we cut it! Courtney was great to work with and responded timely to any questions I had during the planning process. She also coordinated with the florist on delivery for placement of flowers on the cake. Overall a very positive experience with Oakmont.

We tested cake for our wedding at oakmont bakery. We were so excited because we had heard such wonderful things about the bakery. We did not go with them just because it was not for us but i do recommend them. Their pastries and cakes are amazing.

We decided to go with Oakmont Bakery namely because they are superior at their baked goods, but also because it was closely located near our reception venue. They were so professional and courteous and helpful during the initial meeting. She treated us like we were their only clients and made us feel special. The tasting they provided was enough to have a wonderful sample of what we could choose and we overwhelmed with the responses we got from our guests at how good it was! Courtney was amazing! We met with her very early in the planning process and she made it a breeze. The cake tasting was amazing! Oakmont bakery did not only our wedding cakes but also our centerpiece cakes. Courtney Daniels was incredible to work with and helped with every part of the planning process to make sure we got EXACTLY what we wanted. Her staff was incredible as well. We got so many compliments on our wedding cake and the centerpiece cakes. They were not only decorated beautifully but were absolutely delicious! Many people said this was their favorite part of our wedding! Courtney even worked with my Dad to help surprise my husband and I on the flavor of the wedding cake which was an amazing surprise! We got our wedding cake from Oakmont Bakery, and we couldn't have been more pleased! Not only did it taste AMAZING but it was also the most beautiful wedding cake I have ever seen (although I may be a little biased). The whole process from cake tasting to delivery was smooth. They worked directly with our reception venue and florist (we had fresh flowers cascading down) that past the point of dropping the cake topper off 2 weeks prior, we had nothing to worry about! We would truly recommend them to anyone. They always seem to live up to their name yet weddings, they knock it out of the park!

I met with Courtney at Oakmont Bakery for a cake testing and to place my order some time ago. From that day until the cake was delivered to my reception venue, Courtney was very attentive and helped make sure my cake was exactly what I wanted. At first, we didn't have a design or topper picked, but Courtney was able to help me go through some pictures to come up with a beautiful design and set up that our guests said was beautiful and fit right in with the whole wedding color scheme. Love Oakmont Bakery! We originally tried another tasting at a bakery in Lower Burrell, and let's just say it didn't go well. So, I decided I would try again and this time with Oakmont. You can call/email to set up a date and at that time you can also pick a few cake flavors you would like to try. It was amazing! They give you all the extra left over cake to take with you after you sample, and a dozen cookies to try. They will do whatever you prefer to have on your cake, and try and match your colors best as possible. We were so happy with the tasting experience that we ordered or cake, and all our cookies from them as well. Everything was delivered on time, and our guests loved it all. Got lots of compliments that day and days after. Truthfully, before you put a deposit on a cake, if you haven't tried Oakmont Bakery yet, you're missing out. The experience of a professional cake tasting alone was fantastic!

Oakmont Bakery is a staple in my family and to have them create my wedding cake was a dream come true! Everything baked at Oakmont Bakery is delicious, and now I can say that includes wedding cakes. I wasn't wild about choosing or designing our wedding cake; it just wasn't part of the planning that excited me. The only thing I was concerned about was when the cake would be baked. Oakmont bakes the cake the day before the wedding, which is amazing considering that one competitor we were considering bakes their cakes 3 days before the wedding. Also, we picked a somewhat simple design, and our actual wedding cake was so much more intricate and beautiful than the picture that we were shown. It still looked like the picture, but somehow it was way better! I was beyond pleased with how everything turned out!!!

Our wedding cake was gorgeous! Exactly what we had hoped for. We chose a red velvet cake with cherry filling and a combo of buttercream and cream cheese icing. It was delicious and everyone loved it. The prices for the cakes are very reasonable, but our delivery charge was a bit steep as our venue is outside of the bakery's typical delivery area. However, it was totally worth it!

They were a little expensive, but Oakmont Bakery is the way to go. For your cake tasting you get to choose, at no cost, two cake flavors. They give you a nine inch round cake of each flavor. You then choose three fillings for each cake and they do a third of the the cake with each flavor (so a total of 6 combinations). It was difficult to choose. The cakes are so moist and delicious. We ended up with almond flavored cake with fresh strawberry filling. It was so good. The cake was absolutely beautiful. They have a book of suggestions for wedding cake design. You start with the one you like the best and start customizing it from there. We ended up with a three tier cake with blue ribbon at the base of each tier and fondant orchids on each tier. It was perfect.

I should preface this by saying I grew up eating Oakmont Bakery's baked good so I was already in love with them. We worked with Sam on our wedding cake and she was absolutely wonderful. When we went in for our tasting, we had a bit of a crowd with us and she was so accomodating and helpful. The cake ended up being exactly what we wanted and the cookies we got to add to our cookie table were a crowd favorite. Also, their buttercream is generally to die for. I don't know if I can wait a full year to eat it again! We definitely recommend them for your cake needs.

Working with Courtney at Oakmont Bakery was such a pleasure! She made everything so easy on us, and was even able to match the colors of the flowers on the cake to the color of the bridesmaids dresses! Most importantly,the cake was delicious - we got compliments from all of our guests!

We had cupcakes for our wedding and a little 10in cake to cut for pictures. We ordered over 200 cupcakes, half in our wedding colors and half attitude cupcakes. They were gorgeous and so delicious! Everyone raved over how beautiful they looked and how scrumptious they tasted. I would highly recommend their deserts!

I did a tasting at a few bakeries in Pittsburgh and was most impressed with the value and options at Oakmont Bakery. Courtney, the wedding cake coordinator, was extremely responsive and flexible with my limited schedule (I was only back in Pittsburgh for 3 days a few months before the wedding and needed to do many wedding-related errands).

On the day of the wedding, many guests complimented the cake's decoration and more importantly the taste! We got two tiers of red velvet cake and two tiers of chocolate, and both were a hit.

We decided that we didn't want the traditional wedding cake for our reception, so we wanted a cupcake tower. The cupcakes were definitely the hit of the wedding! Our guests loved them and kept going back for seconds! We chose to do a lot of the attitde cupcakes and they looked beautiful and unique on the cupcake tower. Not only did they look great, they tasted absolutely delicious!

The groom's family has grown up with Oakmont Bakery and as a non-native Pittsburgh-er I did not understand the hype. However, after my first Oakmont Bakery experience it is clear why they have won so many awards. Our cake was gorgeous, tasted fantastic, and they made an entirely separate cake for our 1 year anniversary! We loved our cake and just wished it lasted as long as the pictures!

We used Oakmont as a favor to a family member. I worked with Courtney their wedding coordinator long distance and everything went very smoothly. I had designed my own cake and they did an amazing job matching my design. Very pleased with Oakmont overall, just wish they had more cake flavors to offer. Would still recommend them to anyone looking for a reputable wedding cake vendor. We had the red velvet with cream cheese/buttercream and it was yummy!

My husband, parents, and I went all around Pittsburgh tasting all the possible cake places. This was one of my favorite parts of wedding planning, and Oakmont Bakery by far had the best cake. The almond batter is to die for, so moist and perfect each time. The butter cream icing is smooth and not too sweet. We went with the bavarian cream filling and fudge detail (since chocolate brown was a wedding color). The combination was perfect, and all of our guests loved it. The price is a little steeper, but they give options for sheet cakes which can be helpful if you are on a tighter budget. But in my opinion the price is worth every penny, you are going to get a high quality cake. It is a company that has been in business for years and I can assure you to trust them with receiving a superb cake, great service, professional, and willing to work with you to allow you to design a cake that is one of a kind. I would tell any future bride to not waste their time anywhere else; Oakmont is by far at the top.
