This venue helped create the wedding of my dreams and Connor was so helpful to work with! The beauty of the mansion was what first drew us to the venue and we had a lower guest count that the reception hall would fit perfectly. Connor answered all my emails so quickly and met with me in person multiple times to help lay out the reception hall, figure out the ceremony on the grounds etc. We received a lot of compliments from our wedding guests about the beauty of the venue, I wish we could relive our wedding day all over again! If you appreciate historical venues and want to work with a venue that helps you super fast, keeps you calm/less stressed and makes things fun, Oakland's Mansion is the place for you! Connor also has a wonderful preferred vendor list that I chose multiple other vendors from and they all were great!

I cannot say enough good things about this venue. It was absolutely perfect! The property has so much charm and it made our wedding truly magical. We had our ceremony in the yard in front of the home, and the mansion was a beautiful backdrop, and afterwards when my husband and I were taking photos, the home was opened for a self guided tour for a guests during cocktail hour--so many people raved about it! We had our reception behind the mansion in the back patio, with strung lights and wisteria above us, surrounded by the landscaping. It was goregous--and there was plenty of room to set up the buffet, bar, and dj, even with all of the round tables and a guest list of 105. The areas that were provided for the bridal party and groomsmen to get ready were also very well equipped- large ornamental mirrors in the bridal suite that ended up being some of my favorite photos! Working with Conner was fantastic! He was so responsive, reassuring, helpful and communicative. He helped us a lot on the day of to take care of the big picture details, and we so appreciate his presence on the property the entire day. And even though we thankfully didn't need it, it was so nice to know that there was a a grand banquet hall that was available to us in case of rain. All together, we couldn't have asked for anything more. It will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and I highly highly recommend it!

Beautiful location

Not only is Oaklands rich in history, but it is a wonderful place to host an event. Our wedding was an absolute dream. Oaklands Mansion is much more beautiful and way more accommodating than other historical sites in the area. Their pricing is extremely fair as well. I can't say enough great things about Connor. He was SO wonderful to work with! Not only is he extremely professional and flexible, but he really listened when it came to bringing our vision to life. He worked so hard on our big day, alongside our vendors, to make sure everything went smoothly. Thank you, Connor, for swinging those big, beautiful doors open for me to walk down the isle. We are so thankful Oaklands is a part of our memories forever.

When choosing our venue, we knew that we wanted a unique venue and my all time favorite movie is pride and prejudice. This venue portrayed that feeling for us the moment we stepped onto the grounds. You do not have to dress up the place very much because it is already so beautiful on it’s own. Oakland’s mansion will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Connor Moss is tops!! Oaklands Mansion was a beautiful setting four our outdoor wedding. Connor made sure everything was just as we wanted, and went above and beyond in his service and assistance to make our day special.

The Oaklands Mansion location was perfect in every way. The grounds gave guests plenty of room to roam and take in the the beauty. We used the cottage for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready and appreciated the full kitchen, full bathroom with shower, plenty of dressing space and tons of mirrors. The reception hall was perfect for our 65 guests, food tables, and still have room for a dance floor. The Mansion was stunning in pictures, whether in the background of the ceremony or for the bridal party pictures at the entrance. Connor Moss was a life safer in his calm presence and ability to offer solutions with every challenge that arose in our plans!

Our Christmas wedding was beautiful at Oaklands Mansion! So very happy that we chose this historic site for our wedding. The staff at Oaklands, especially curator Connor Moss, were very helpful in the planning process and wonderful on the day of the wedding (really helped calm this nervous bride!). Guests loved that they could tour the mansion before the wedding and we loved that we had an amazing venue for gorgeous photos. Oaklands was fantastic throughout my entire planning process, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect. The grounds are gorgeous and provided the perfect place for our fall ceremony and reception. The staff was extremely helpful and willing to do everything they could to make our wedding exactly how we wanted it. Raina was with us every step of the way and she was able to answer all of my questions, and was always there when I needed her the day of the wedding. This venue is very reasonably priced and is run by excellent staff. They make it clear that they are a historic site and museum as well as a venue, but that only made our experience better. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who wants a beautiful wedding in a unique setting.

Connor and his team have carefully curated a venue that serves as one of the most effortlessly beautiful wedding venues. With the historic house, a long and winding creek within the forest, and all the natural beauty across the estate, you can't find a bad spot for photos. I love the flexibility and the variety all around this venue- it's a *must tour* spot.

My husband is in the US Army and we weren't sure of the date we would be getting married. The Oaklands staff were so generous and understanding. We had to pay a down payment and usually venues won't let you get that payment back if you have to cancel or change the date. The Oaklands worked with me to set the date and not charge us for my husbands service to this country. I'm very thankful for the beautiful location and the wonderful people that work there. Besides the beautiful area, the cost was unbeatable!

Oaklands is a hidden gem. Many of the other Antebellum homes in Middle Tennessee are ridiculously expensive and not nearly as pretty as Oaklands. Raina and the other staff were very helpful and professional. They were very easy to work with, and I was able to have my dream wedding at this beautiful and historic site.

Event manager neglected to ask City to allow music until 11:00 PM, after emailing me that she would do so. She told DJ to shut down at 10:00 PM. When I reminded her that she was to obtain a variance (angrily, I admit), she brought the on-site sheriff to the reception. He was rude, and tried to intimidate and belittle me. He called in police. I was accused by him of being drunk, so I requested a breathalyzer test. He said he couldn't do that, but could get 20 police there in 5 minutes. He is a liability to a respectable venue.
