Amazing!!!!!

Myra was the BEST coordinator that we could have got. She's patient, flexible, and very compassionate about what she does. She helped us every step of the journey. Making our lives stress-free and we enjoyed all her assistance in making this journey super fun. Everyone else including the banquet crew were all very friendly, helpful, and made sure they go up and beyond for you. If we could do it all over again. We would definitely choose Fairview Oakhurst AGAIN. They are professional flexible and do there BEST to meet all your needs. They have great packages that will fit your budget.Do yourself a favor and pick this spot to be your venue. You will be beyond happy like us.

The event turned out great! Everything was well organized, prepared in advance and delivered as expected. Janan is easy to work with, very knowledgeable and directed her team to meet our needs. The experience was very positive, I would definitely recommend Oakhurst Country Club to my friends!

Beautiful venue and a very organized staff. The planning and execution was a breeze. The day of the event was so easy thanks to the high attention to detail and support of the staff.

We held a family reunion at Oakhurst. Janan, the event planner , was wonderful. She covered all the details and helped make everything perfect. Menu choices were extensive. Everyone enjoyed the food.The room was just the right size with lovely decor. During the event, the severs were sensitive to our guests' needs and were very accommodating. I was extremely happy witth the evening. It could not have been better or easier!

Beautiful and classic venue

We are so glad we chose Fairview Oakhurst for our wedding venue! Myra went above and beyond to make our day so special and amazing. The ceremony site overlooking Mt. Diablo was gorgeous, the food and drinks were delicious, every moment was so fun. I loved getting ready in the bridal suite, taking the golf course around the grounds to have a private moment to take couple photos after the ceremony, and the dancing/sparklers at the end of the night. Thank you so much for everything, Oakhurst!

We had to ask for another table for gifts when we arrived and staff was so helpful in doing so! Everyone was friendly and professional and did an outstanding job! During selection choices for food and ideas, Susie came through with great suggestions. The party was over a week ago and people still keep telling us how beautiful the location was and one even said that it was like a mini wedding. Details were there and it showed! Susie goes above and beyond and so does their hardworking staff. Everyone also commented on how professional the waiters were and the bartender was so friendly and nice. We are brainstorming for another event to hold at Oakhurst - possibly my parents 50th anniversary in a couple of years or maybe wedding bells for me in the near future :) If you are considering holding an event here you simply cannot go wrong!

I can't say enough good things about Oakhurst. Number one, it's beautiful. The setting is perfect for an outdoor like wedding without having to be entirely outdoors. As far as venues go, they were definitely a best value and more affordable than other country club setting. The event director, Janan Ali, is pleasant and easy to work with. She is responsive, upbeat, and supremely organized. She really did make planning our wedding a much less painful experience than I anticipated. The service and servers were great day-of. We are super happy we went with Oakhurst!

What a magical experience Oakhurst Country Club provided for our wedding! The staff was extreemly professional, flexible, and helpful during the planning process as well as on the day of the wedding. I am so happy we chose to have our ceremony and reception at Oakhurst!!!

Amazing Venue

Myra and the team at Oakhurst Country Club were amazing. The food was great, the outside ceremony was beautiful. Each step of the process was well communicated and the costs were transparent. The cake, DJ, and food are included !!! Best value for the money. The weather, the views, food, family and friends, who could ask for more. Well done!!

We absolutely enjoyed our wedding at Oakhurst Country Club. Prior to picking the place we looked at least at 5 to 10 different country clubs and we definitely had our heart set on the Oakhurst - the facilities, the view, the prices and the staff were just amazing.
The staff was very responsive and flexible. I was a very particular bride and they were very very helpful throughout the whole venue. Nina and Heather were just the best wedding planners. They definitely helped me feel at ease beforehand and on the day of our wedding. The food was wonderful, we had halibut and chicken and both were very good.
The view at Oakhurst is amazing - Mt Diablo on one side and great sunset photos on the other.

I knew Oakhurst was the perfect place for my wedding reception the moment I laid eyes on it. I loved the double doors leading into the reception room and all the windows showing views of the beautiful California rolling hills. Not to mention the large balcony that offers the same views, including Mount Diablo (we held our cocktail hour on the balcony). When we first arrived at Oakhurst after our ceremony we were escorted into a private room where my husband and I could enjoy some champagne and appetizers before being introduced into the reception hall. Now, I don't know if they can always accommodate this, but we requested some private time and we were lucky that nobody else rented out the other room during the time we wanted it. Their golf course has a lot of greenery on it which makes for some fabulous photo opportunities. I suggest you arrange for an employee to take you around the golf course in a golf cart with your photographer. We have some beautiful shots with Mount Diablo in the background from higher up on the golf course. Now for the reception! For dinner we served Chicken, pork, vegetarian and children's chicken strips. Oakhurst was so accommodating when an adult who was a picky eater requested chicken strips! And when I had a guest have a babysitting issue the night before Oakhurst gave me no grief for requesting to add 3 more kids meals. I even changed the seating around slightly and they stayed right on track with me. All the food was amazing! And the service was great. I heard from many of my guests that their servers had fun personalities. Our event coordinator, Nina was the best. She is the one who I am mostly talking about when I talked about how accommodating Oakhust was. She is incredibly organized and thorough. She even showed up at our reception to congratulate us and make sure everything was going as we expected. It was so amazing to work with people who are so on top of their game.

My sister hosted my baby shower at Oakhurst Country Club this past weekend and it was absolutely beautiful. The venue itself is picturesque and the staff did a wonderful job! She worked with Janan on coordinating all the event details leading up to the day, and the staff at Oakhurst executed perfectly. Thank you Oakhurst for a wonderful event!! I couldn't have asked for more.

Plan to have a plate of appetizers set aside for the hosts. Alert the servers who the hosts are so they can serve them. With a large group, as we had, it was difficult to get the servers attention.

Planning our Clayton wedding was frustrating; I was living in Honolulu and had to research all of my vendors on the internet. Needless to say this was difficult because of the time difference and the fact that some businesses didn't check their emails....then I found Oakhurst Country Club in Clayton.
I scheduled a meeting with Lissi, the coordinator, when I was able to return to the Bay Area. Lissie didn't rush our meeting, offered suggestions, LISTENED, and even sketched out a rough draft of the night�s itinerary and expected costs. The day of she was relaxed, which made me relaxed! As far as the country club is concerned, it was beautiful (located on the foothills of Mount Diablo overlooking the East Bay)! The wait staff were professional, and the price was great (about $75 per head, I think). The BEST part was that it was all inclusive, and Lissie even let me set up a bar tab for the guests. This made us feel a little more in control :)
I HIGHLY recommend this little gem!

I have chosen this place because of Janan. I had a couple of options but we picked Oakhurst. Janan welcomed us and made us feel very comfortable. We engaged right away especially my daughter. She said Janan is nice. The reception went great and Janan was always flexible and helpful. They just renewed their carpet and chairs. Thanks Janan!!! This definitely was the best decision of the best day of my life!

I absolutely an so happy I got married at Oakhurst Country Club. My husband and I were married on 6/23/18. We choose OCC as our venue site almost a year and a half before the wedding. We selected OCC because of the stunning views of Mt. Diablo. OCC has multiple sites where you can get married. We had 130 guest and got married on the golf course. It was gorgeous!! We got married at 6:30 in the evening, had a cocktail hour, and reception until midnight. All the food was delicious!! The staff was great with planning, assisting with coordinating, and having the event run smoothly. OCC has a bridal fair around March. I highly recommend attending if you are looking for vendors. I went after booking OCC and I met the DJ and event coordinating company at the fair. It was great to have OCC referrals to other vendors such as Magic Entertainment and Eventfully yours. There are a lot of positives I can say about our wedding day and how beautiful and fun it was, it was perfect because of our amazing venue.

The Perfect Place

I grew up in Clayton and decided that I wanted to be married in my hometown around the time this space was built. The space and staff went far above my expectations. It was a beautiful wedding that far exceeded my dreams, the staff was amazing, the food was delicious and the views on that May 2011 day were exactly what I wanted. My guests were talking about my wedding for months afterwards. I would definitely love to have another event here if I still lived in the area. Thank you to the staff for making my wedding the most beautiful day of my life!

2/22/22 Lobato Wedding

WOW!! I am blown away with how perfect our wedding came out with the amazing staff there at fairview-oakhurst. Myra, you were the star of it all with just about 2 weeks to plan you made it all happen! I am forever grateful for you! ALL of the staff were extremely helpful and fun from beginning down to the last second. I have been receiving compliments to this day of how beautiful the venue was and how the staff put it all together and how amazing the food was! My "expectations" were beyond exceeded. I wish I could relive that day again! It really felt like a dream. The venue is even more than what photos show you've really got to be there to soak up all the beauty there. Thank you so so much to everyone at Fairview Oakhurst! You guys are the best and I will ALWAYS recommend you🤗

The Oakhurst Country Club exceeded my expectations for our wedding. The venue was beautiful and perfectly suited what we wanted for our event. Nina, our catering manager, was so helpful and responsive to all of our questions and concerns. I really felt that we were in good hands.

The views at Oakhurst are spectacular. Susie and her staff go above and beyond to make sure every detail is perfect. The ceremony site is breathtaking. Oakhurst Country Club was totally awesome all the way around. The ceremony was outside, and with the lovely view of Mount Diablo and the fall leaves on the trees, it made for a perfect setting. They even had infused water outside for the guests! My new husband and I were taken out on the gold course to have our photos taken. I had my own bridal suite, which was very spacious, with a couch, chairs, tables, mirror, and they provided us with lunch and libations. The reception room was quite large, with large windows facing outside. They even had a patio overlooking Clayton and beyond. The food and the service was impeccable. The venue coordinator, Janan, was totally awesome throughout the whole process. She was so patient with all my questions and re-dos, and she co-ordinated the bridal party getting us down the isle at the right time. I could not have asked for more. I recommend them highly!

Oakhurst Country Club was an AMAZING venue. The staff made the entire process so enjoyable and easy. My guests loved the location and the food. The pictures have turned out amazing. I really can't recommend this venue enough!!

Susie and the oakhurst staff are unbelievable. They made our day so special. They were attentive and made sure everything was running smoothly. Susie made sure that we got everything we wanted still staying on our budget. I would not have changed a thing!!

Beautiful venue and excellent staff!

We held our wedding reception at Fairfield Oakhurst and had an amazing experience! Myra and her staff are excellent. The view of the golf course is stunning and the venue is beautiful. We and our guests had an incredible time! A once in a lifetime experience.

Our wedding was amazing because we chose Oakhurst and we could not be happier. The venue is stunning, with views of rolling hills, Mt Diablo, and flickering city lights . Our guests were blown away by the natural beauty of the place. The food is also incredible!! I do suggest hiring a day of coordinator, but regardless the staff was very attentive to us and helpful with all last minute changes leading up to our wedding. We are so thankful we chose Oakhurst for our wedding, it is hands down one of the most beautiful venue locations in the Bay Area.

This venue was one of our top picks but we felt as tho it was not large enough to accommodate our guests. It was a great option and they were very flexible with what we wanted. The views were gorgeous and there's plenty of parking for guests

We celebrated my boyfriend's 50th birthday at Oakhurst. The venue was enjoyed by everyone who attended. The positive feedback from guests means a lot to me and it was all positive (with the exception of the chemical smoke smell from the logs used in the firepits). The firepits were a lovely touch and I wouldn't have wanted the party without them. Perhaps we'll use real wood next time (not sure if that is allowed by code anymore though). I would definitely have another event at Oakhurst. Susie handled all the details and was amazing!!! Thank you!

Oakhurst is an absolutely beautiful venue for your wedding. They make it so easy to plan and are very accommodating. Our wedding day was everything we could have hoped for. The one piece of feedback I would give is to provide steak knives to the guest who order steak for dinner. We heard from our guests not having a knife made eating difficult. Also, I recommend requesting to leave bottle of champagne and wine on each table. Servers had a hard time getting to each table.

If you have a tight budget, they're very willing to work with you and help keep your costs low where they can. Food was delicious, our photos turned out well. It's not a very glamorous venue, but the huge windows were lovely for our brunch wedding. My only complaint, and it's a big one, is that getting a hold of the event coordinator is IMPOSSIBLE. Phone calls and emails were not returned, even for simple questions. In person, she's incredibly helpful, but if you hope to communicate via phone or email, be prepared to get incredibly frustrated.

We used Oakhurst Country Club as our wedding ceremony and reception venue. The day of experience was good. Everything was where it needed to be, the food was good and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, the year of planning up to the event was not so great. When we originally decided on Oakhurst, the Catering Director was Lisi. She gave us the warm and fuzzies and was the reason why we went with this venue. Sadly, she left Oakhurst a few months later. She was then replaced by 1 person and then a 2nd person. As a bride, that in itself was stressful. I was not contacted by either person with an intro call and had to continuously repeat myself on the plans we made with Lisi. The people that replaced Lisi were not bad, but they ran things much differently than she did. I often felt like I was one of many brides they had to deal with, like bride #26. I have heard through the grapevine that it is common for the management to change over there and I would not reccomend them as a venue until it is sorted out.

I can see why many on WW, give Oakhurst Country Club high stars...as it has spectacular views, and the price per plate is very economical in comparison to other East Bay venues. We had an amazing wedding, but be warned - getting to that point was a logistical nightmare. This place lacks good customer service. There are many reasons (i will only least a few here) I give Oakhurst 1-2 stars: The customer service significantly declined once it got close to the wedding (ie - they had our deposit, and no longer needed to impress us), emails/phone calls were very slowly returned - it made planning a headache. We had to have many long involved conversations, JUST to use our own vendors at Oakhurst - lights, pipe/draping, chiavari chairs. If you want to save some $$ per plate, and are checking out Oakhurst, go over ALL costs with a fine tooth comb. We paid $600 just for linens. And $400 for a couple lights on the terrace. Just make sure they follow your food and beverage contract to a TEE. After specifying, MANY times that we only want beer and wine served at our reception...when I say many - it was in our initial contract, and in all the invoices that followed. My husbands family does not even drink, so we were even considering a "dry" wedding. On our wedding day, they decided to serve a full bar - hard alcohol AND charge our guests!! Neither my husband or myself ever approved this. And my husband and I did not find out until a week after the wedding when my uncle informed us he had been charged at the bar. How tacky is this?? make my guests reach into their pockets on our wedding day (for something we never authorized!) And then the hosted beer and wine at 9pm became unhosted!! Oakhursts reply via email: the Food and Beverage Director "mis-interpreted" the contract. There was a miscommunication when Susi Sutton turned our wedding over to Janan Ali, the new Event Director at Oakhurst. I would not recommend this place for future brides...just check Yelp!
