Just the best!!
Kate and Mike were an absolute dream to work with from start to finish. First of all, we could not be happier with our photos, they captured our day SO perfectly. The reason we chose them in the first place was we did not want our photos to be too posed - we are not anywhere close to being models and did not want our photos to feel like we were modeling. They made the entire process feel so natural and not awkward at all. Secondly, we just had so much fun working with them in general. From our engagement photos, to our wedding planning meeting, to our wedding itself, it was so fun chatting with them and I honestly sometimes forgot that we were supposed to be taking photos! Overall we are so happy we went with Oak and Pine!!Kate and Mike were an absolute dream to work with from start to finish. Working with Kate and Mike for our June wedding was wonderful from beginning to end. There are so many great photographers out there but we wanted to find one that we really gelled with on a more personal level, because neither my husband or I like getting our photo taken much, we prefer a candid/photojournalist type of approach. Oak and Pine was super responsive as soon as I reached out and all along the process. Kate was the perfect balance of directing us to some degree and capturing our natural actions the rest of the way. Both Kate and Mike are really friendly but also not intense. They are really professional but not too serious. We just felt so comfortable with them. They're also really organized and help a lot with timeline and logistics.
They offer a really reasonably priced engagement shoot that you can add to your wedding package and I'm really glad we took that opportunity. We got great photos as well as some experience working with them before the wedding. On the day of, I barely noticed them but they got tons of pictures of every single moment, including plenty of natural and candid stuff. The photos are beautiful and high quality. There are too many great things to say about Kate and Mike / Greybird Galleries in one post. Our pictures and experience were beyond expectation. Besides marrying my husband and sharing the day with our friends and family, photography was the most important part to me. Kate and Mike went above and beyond expectation for both our engagement and wedding photos. For those of you planning your own wedding - Kate is a logistical timeline genius. Logistics were one of the most stressful parts of planning my own wedding. The meeting with them before our wedding was so helpful and made the day go smoothly and get all the pictures we wanted and then some. Their photo booth is awesome. The pictures are high quality and we not only have physical copies but a link to share. Well worth it! Kate and Mike being a husband and wife team just get it. The way they work together is inspiring and they are all around just great people. They are simply the best. The service and product they provide is worth every penny and then some. Kate and Mike did a fabulous job with our wedding photography and engagement photos. They turned out truly amazing!! We were the first wedding to use their new state of the art photobooth. It defiantly was the hit of the party and everyone loved our custom photo strip that Kate designed. They are incredibly caring and patient professionals, and exceeded every expectation we had. – (And my Fiancé’s were set pretty high ; ) They could not have done a better job and were absolutely wonderful to work with. I was recommended to Kate through a close friend of mine. My (now) husband and I first met Kate by doing a "mini session" with her and we instantly knew we wanted her to be our wedding photographer. She is so personable, easy to get along with & quick to put any of your worries to rest!
Once we booked with Greybird Galleries, Kate & Mike shot our engagement photos together as a team. This was our first time meeting Mike & he was just as great as Kate! They keep you laughing the entire time & make sure that you are having a good time. All of our pictures turned out so natural, which we get complimented on all of the time!!
Kate & Mike stayed in constant contact with us from beginning (January) to end (August), always checking in and anytime I had a question or issue I received an almost immediate response. I had serveral concerns about my wedding (none with the photographer) and they both went out of their way to reassure me! I truly could not be any happier with their services & they are such an amazing/fun team to work with. We have received an overwhelming amount of compliments our photographs! We would recomment Greybird Galleries to anyone looking for a photographer!

We had family portraits taken for the very first time as a present to my 83 year old Mother! We decided to go to the home that we grew up in and take them in front of that house in Clintonville. My parents, grandmother, my brother and sister and even my extending family truly grew up in this home that my parents owned for 40 years. The pictures are AMAZING. My Mother was so taken back by what Kate captured in our photos! She cried tears of happiness for a few days after we rec'd the pictures. Kate was professional very patient (there were a lot of us and 5 little ones including a 22 month old, 17 month old and a 7 month old) and she took photos that we didn't even know she captured. Because there are so many of us we had to change the date 3 times to get all of us together and she just gave us the next option and was never upset! Kate is very professional and the value that she has given to me and my family well no words can express. I LOVE KATE for taking such great care of my Mother and my family! For the memories that she has captured especially the love we have in our family that we will be able to cherish for the rest of our lives! Thank you Kate Horgan! Kate and Mike (husband/second shooter) were fantastic! My fiance and I were really concerned about taking engagement photos, but Kate kept us at ease the entire time. She gave us direction and caught a lot of photos of us laughing/smiling naturally, which we loved! We were hoping for 2 or 3 good shots, but we ended up with a full album! We couldn't be more impressed with Kate and Mike and are excited to have them shoot our wedding :) We have even referred them to other friends!Kate and Mike (husband/second shooter) were fantastic! Kate Horgan did photos for our entire family this summer, as my mom had been wanting to get "everyone" together since my nephew was born. Full Disclosure, Kate has been my best friend since high school, and my mom asked if she would be willing to do some family shots for us.
She has always been an amazingly talented photographer, but recently her photography business has really taken off and I am happy to share her information with any potential customers! Prior to the shoot involving our whole family, she did maternity photos for my sister as well as newborn and 6 month photos of my nephew. All are creative, timeless and cherished by my family!
She is very reasonably priced and flexible, and I think if you look at her website her work speaks for itself! She is really a pro - wonderful at posing and giving instructions, but making her subjects feel at ease and look natural. Kate has an undeniable passion for photography, and it shows through her artistic vision in the photographs and the diligence with which she edits her work to make the subject look their absolute best. Kate has done several sessions for my family and I. She did my maternity pictures, she did several sessions of my son over his first year, she has taken family pictures, and she is getting ready to do my maternity pictures for my second child. I would recommend her to anyone for any event! She is very professional and amazing at what she does. I have been very happy with all of the pictures she has taken of my family. She is very friendly and makes you feel at ease. I will continue to use her for all of my events!!Kate has done several sessions for my family and I. She did my maternity pictures, she did several sessions of my son over his first year, she has taken family pictures, and she is getting ready to do my maternity pictures for my second child. I would recommend her to anyone for any event! She is very professional and amazing at what she does. I have been very happy with all of the pictures she has taken of my family. She is very friendly and makes you feel at ease. I will continue to use her for all of my events!! -
