There are no words to express our gratitude for everything you did to make this weekend so amazing. We were completely blown away by everything. I cannot tell you how many people came up to me to say that Howie was the best DJ they'd ever seen. And people LOVED the dancers!!!! The whole thing was perfect. Sharone completely out-did himself with the decor. I could go on and on. Lawrence wanted me to make sure you, Howie, and Sharone know that we would be more than happy to serve as a glowing reference for all of you. Chis and his team were amazing. Attended to our every to our needs. They read the crowd brilliantly. Band was awesome. It was a total dance party. All the guests completed us on how this was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. NYX and it’s fusion system are awesome. We just want they perform it was so fun! -

Howie at NXY came highly recommended to us. We were immediately impressed by how comforting and confident he was that he could create the party atmosphere we wanted at our wedding. He worked with us to make sure all of our favorite songs were played and that the event stayed up-tempo and on schedule. Not an easy task. NXY and Howie also did our lights, AV and photo-booth. All get rave reviews. Most importantly, my wedding was a blast! All our loved ones had a great time. He really worked with us, the venue and the crowd to make sure things stayed fun and the dance floor stayed packed. Thanks Howie!! -

On our wedding day and over the days that followed, my wife and I received glowing compliments on the music, entertainment, and other touches that were thought up by the creative and engaging people of NYX. They made our wedding more fun than I could have imagined, and I can't recommend them highly enough!
What Howie, DJ Johnny Mel, and the rest of Howie's talented and friendly entertainers bring to the table is a totally unforgettable guest-centric experience. I was impressed at how much his planning centered around making sure the guests were happy, comfortable, and having the time of their lives. He was full of unique and brilliant suggestions. Not to say that he didn't focus on our wants or needs - quite the opposite. He frequently took our ideas and make them even better. Trust in Howie - you'll be glad you did!
The end result was the perfect blend of eating, dancing, and entertainment for people of all ages. My mom had never danced before, but she was having such a good time that she eventually overcame her nervousness and actually danced with me and my dad!
I feel lucky and grateful that NYX Entertainment was available to make my wedding so memorable. I now understand why they've won so many awards for providing the best entertainment in the DC / Maryland / Virginia area - based on the genuine feedback we've received, they deserve it! -

Michael and I had our destination wedding in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Howie went above and beyond helping us plan and coordinate every detail of our wedding day. He was able to deliver every promise he made to make our wedding as perfect as possible. When our day of coordinator in Puerto Rico failed to prepare for the worst case scenarios, Howie did not miss a beat in picking up the pieces. We had an outdoor wedding and Howie was the only person to prepare for rain. When it began to rain during our ceremony, he saved the day with an umbrella that he let us keep as a sweet memento. We have nothing but positive compliments about Howie’s professionalism and high energy. Michael and I are convinced that Howie made a world of a difference in ensuring that our wedding was the wedding of a lifetime! -

NYX was absolutely amazing at our wedding! So amazing we had to write our review before we leave for our honeymoon. NYX got the party started off right and kept the party going. Our guests had a blast dancing the night away. All of our song requests were played and the band is extremely talented. NYX definetly played a huge part in making our wedding reception incredibly memorable. We couldn't ask for a better band! -

Howie and his team were AWESOME! Througout the planning process we had a ton of questions and Howie assured us all would be ok and he was always one step ahead of his. We saw NYX Live at a friend's wedding and were so impressed we used them for our own, and they exceeded our expectations! We did the 4 band member/DJ combo, which gives you the best of both worlds. You get to hear the songs mostly as you are used to hearing them (rather than a band's cover) but you get live musicians playing with the music and a band leader to engage the crowd. They also plan out the whole timeline of the reception (which you can then send to your photographer, venue coordinator, etc, making everyone's lives easier), with breaks between dancing for the food, creating one big long party. They were truly awesome - our dance floor was packed the entire time! I cannot overstate how much fun we all had! They also provided our ceremony music which simplified things so much, as well as bringing awesome uplighting to add to the venue's decor. They also use a website where you can put in your song preferences and other important information for the reception, which is a helpful feature. Howie was great to work with - just trust him with his ideas and suggestions and you'll have a fabulous party like we did. Couldn't be happier with NYX! -

We have used NYX Entertainment twice over the last two years (for both my sons' Bar-Mitzvah parties). We just used EMCEE Chrome and the party rocked! Howie was the DJ (lucky us!) and everybody danced all night. I was amazed and how engaged they kept both the kids and adults. Chrome knocked it out of the house with his amazing dance moves and his charisma. Howie rocked the music all night long. When the last song came on, everyone sighed as they did not want the night to end. The ended up playing one more song because guests were so disappointed it was over. And what can I say about the dancers! They were awesome. All four of them taught the adults dance moves so they could keep up with the kids. I could not have asked for a better EMCEE / DJ / or Dancers. Thank you NYX Entertainment for the best event ever! -

My husband and I had two criteria for our wedding: (1) an epic hora; and (2) a crowded dance floor. Howie Teger of NYX Entertainment delivered on both! We got so many compliments on the D.J., how accessible the music was for our multi-generational affair, and how much fun everyone had dancing at our party. We hired Howie because we were looking for a true M.C. to read the room and keep the party going. Howie did not disappoint. Howie also worked closely with my husband, who is also a musician, to execute our vision for custom music at our ceremony and at our reception. While we had to supply the equipment to make some of that happen (also a way for us to save some money), Howie was extremely responsive and easy to work with and arrived in plenty of time to help our musicians soundcheck before the ceremony. Everything was flawless. I wish I could relive every minute. -

Our guests have NOT STOPPED TALKING about the incredible, out-of-the-box, unique and FUN entertainment NYX brought to our daughter's bat mitzvah celebration. The dance floor was packed the entire night with guests of all ages, creating a celebration that truly everyone could enjoy. If you are tired of seeing the same thing at party after party, NYX will remind you what innovation and creativity look like. They are truly one step ahead of the industry. Howie and his team were incredible to work with from start to finish, taking all the stress out of the planning process. NYX Entertainment & Events was absolutely amazing for our wedding!! We originally saw this company at another wedding and knew I wanted them for ours. Our MC Howie and the DJ, were awesome and definitely had our wedding guests on the dance floor all night. During the planning stages, Howie was so friendly with lots of energy from the first conversation we ever had. He made us even more excited about our upcoming wedding day! In addition, Ms. Sandra Teger the Events Director was very professional and friendly as well. Definitely would recommend NYX Entertainment & Events for any occasion. -

MC Chris was just tremendous. Energetic, accommodating, funny, fabulous in every way. And dancers...WOW. I love that the female dancer wore gold pants to match our theme, without us even asking. And the male dancer really got the boys out on the floor.
Everyone had such a great time. We could have just had the NYX team and ordered Dominos, and it all would have been perfect. -

Howie is great to work with to create exactly the vibe that you want for the music. It was important for us that the entertainment be a unique experience for our guests so Howie suggested incorporating 2 live musicians. Our guests couldn't stop talking about it.
DJ Leko was GREAT! We wanted to keep our guests on the dance floor all night and he did just that! He paid attention to how the guests were reacting to the music and made any necessary changes to keep the party moving.

I highly recommend NYX. They provided an amazing service at a very reasonable price. We had MC TK for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah. NYX also provided up-lighting, and flat screens/zap shots. The party could not have been any better!! It was a day event yet the dance floor was full the entire time. TK is extraordinarily talented - she has a way with a crowd - she even knew kids names!! What a special MC! -

I highly recommend NYX Entertainment.
I had so many compliments from the guests regarding the music and the lighting. My favorite compliment was... "this was truly a celebrity wedding." Everything was so perfect and all thanks goes to NYX.
The DJ was professional and had great music selection, the MC really hyped the crowd and got everyone dancing, the lighting added so much to the mood. I really could not have asked for more.
I would recommend this company to any bride who wants the perfect wedding! -

I got my dress from a store they recommended and my florist as well! They rocked our party all night and people have not stopped asking who our band was! They are AWESOME! The party was awesome, Howie was awesome, Leecko (spelling??) was awesome, the dancers were awesome. All my guests were engaged all afternoon. NYX did a fantastic job. I received many compliments on all of the NYX crew & entertainment. I had a great time and I am ready to party with Howie anytime.

We used NYX and mc TK for both of my boys' bar mitzvah parties. TK is friendly, fun and nonstop energy from start to finish! She had the dance floor full for the whole party - both times. Everyone commented about how fabulous she and the dancers were - both times. If I had any more children, I'd use NYX again, but I don't, so you should! It will be the best decision you make for your celebration. -

NYX was a great entertainer we chose for our wedding. We found them at a mock wedding and their unique combination of a DJ with live music added to our event. Rather than just hearing a DJ, the percussion and wind instruments greatly enhanced the music. It had the feel of a live band that could play any genre of music. Howie was a great person to deal with and he did a great job MCing the event. He made a key recommendation on how the timeline was setup for the wedding. Rather than going the “traditional” route, he recommended breaking up the event into mini dance sets (i.e. cocktail hour, wedding party introductions, first/second dance, salad course, dance session for 20 mins (in between courses), etc.). This enhanced the flow of the event and did not result in a big open 2-3 hour dance set after dinner/cake cutting. This made the event have milestones throughout the night and time went by so quickly. -

Team NYX knocked it out of the park! From the beginning, Sandra & Howie were a dream to work with, and I loved their suggestions. MC TK was amazing - she took our special requests with no problems, got the kids dancing and motivated (so much so that the adults commented how much energy she had & how great she was), and ran our party so I had no worries. Even beyond the confines of the party, TK gave great advice regarding flow and songs, and even found something for me at the party I thought I lost. NYX is great at what they do! -

NYX was the best! Affordable, full service, latest technology, and of course the inimitable Howie Teger. We didn't have a "band budget" and we also wanted the flexibility to play all types of music that you get from a DJ, but having just a DJ seemed a little flat. Howie suggested his unique "Fusion" concept and it was amazing! We had a DJ, but we also had an MC and two live musicians. The musicians jammed with the tunes spun by the DJ giving the event an incredible energy - and the MC (Chris) was off the charts. From the first song to the last, the dance floor was packed. And I just don't mean my friends - EVERYONE was dancing. Chris also handled all of the announcements, kept all the toasts and other events on track, knew when to speed it up, or slow it down, and when to be a little quiet so folks could mingle. We also had some special requests - my aunt and uncle sang during the ceremony and NYX provided the equipment for them as well as some nice background music during cocktails. Finally, we decided to add a photo booth for fun at the last minute - also provided by NYX. I didn't think most people would use it, but NYX gives you all of the photos from the entire night (and of course your guests get ones to take). What a riot to see almost every guest did a picture in funny hats and glasses! The whole thing was about 1/2 the price of a band from another agency we interviewed. -

Howie and DJ Mario made my wedding absolutely the most fun, perfect, memorable day!!!! Howie is THE man and knows exactly how to deliver what we wanted for our wedding. At the very first meeting with Howie, he said he has THE best DJs that will literally ensure every person is out on the dance floor. Well, the wedding day was here before we knew it and at our reception, LITERALLY ALL our guests both young and old were out on the dance floor! DJ Mario had a great playlist for our night and I HIGHLY recommend NYX entertainment!!! -

Everyone at NYX was GREAT. We met Howie and right away we knew that we were dealing with someone who was really passionate about what he does and cares about doing a good job. Sandra was so helpful and always there to answer questions, set up any scheduling and help us with changes to the list and put us in contact with our deejay. The day of, Russell, our emcee, and our Deejay, were there ready to go and get the party started. They were so entertaining and really added to the atmosphere so everyone danced all night. The majority of our request list was played and in such a way that it really made the night flow. The equipment worked great and I really was really impressed how they made everything work so well in the different rooms for the cocktail hour and the ballroom. I would recommend them to ANYONE. So knowledgeable and SO MUCH FUN. -

NYX made our wedding! From the music to the Emcee to the live instruments; our guests didn't leave the dance floor all night. When our wedding ended, nobody was ready to leave. They played every song we asked them to, kept in perfect sync with our timeline and their wonderful communication skills and willingness to do whatever they could to make our night perfect made them a pleasure to work with. They totally rocked our wedding and a week and a half later we are still getting calls from friends and family saying it was THE best wedding they have ever been to. -

We can't say enough about how awesome NYX is! They provided DJ, MC, and day-of coordination services for our wedding in June 2012. The DJ and Todd, our MC, kept the party going and kept the dance floor packed all night. Our guests raved about their professionalism and perfect song choices, catering to both the grandparents and our college friends.
Sandra provided our day-of services...but she did SO much more than just day-of. We were debating whether or not to hire a day-of planner, but we honestly don't know what we would've done without her! She contacted all of our vendors prior to the wedding to coordinate their arrival times, meeting spots, and their roles for the day. She kept our rowdy bridal party in line, set up our entire ceremony site, cocktail hour, AND reception. From our and our guests' perspectives, our day was perfect and we owe it all to Sandra and the NYX team :) -

Howie and NYX were referred to me by our venue, Vis Arts, in Rockville, MD, for our daughter's wedding on 9.12.15. We contracted to have an emcee (Howie), a DJ, uplighting and music for the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner/party. Howie completely surpassed our very high expectations. The wedding was a complete blast with everyone up on their feet from the very first song to the end of the party. A couple of the things we really thought they did well: (1) My daughter and husband had very distinct music taste (metal!) which we were not a fan of. Howie was able to find a way to integrate their tastes so incredibly appropriately with music that the mainstream crowd would love. Cannot tell you how well this worked out -- it worked to our advantage and to the vibe of the party. Truly fantastic! (2) Howie served as our emcee -- WOW! He was the life of the party and I had no idea how much a part of it he would be and he truly got the crowd rocking! (3) Howie's DJ was exceptional -- the mixing of the music, the quality -- just fantastic! (4) My daughter, son-in-law and I really clicked with Howie upon our first meeting. Also, he was a great advisor on creating a night that would be full of magic, laughs and fun. So very professional. Everyone attending our wedding said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. I attribute a big part of that praise to NYX Entertainment and I would highly recommend them and use them again. -

We hired NYX for our daughters wedding. Howie T. was our DJ and let me say.....he did an AmAzInG job!!! He had the party rocking all night long. The dance floor was filled all night and no one wanted to leave. The Bride and Groom said on multiple occasions that the DJ was fantastic. Our daughter said 'I felt like I was in a Vegas club' 'He (Howie) was awesome'. I was so pleased that they were happy and they had a memorable fun night. Along with being an over-the-top entertainer he was a great guy. Very friendly and super easy to work with. He was the first DJ vendor I called and after talking to him I immediately booked him knowing that I trusted him with this important occasion. He didn't let us down. I would absolutely recommend him for any occasion - he was the best!

Chris, the DJ, and dancer did a fantastic job at Noah's bar mitzvah! Everyone raved about what a fantastic MC we had and what a fantastic time they had at the party. Chris got everyone involved; he was professional, fun, prompt, and we were thrilled with his performance! We would definitely recommend him again for other events. The green screen was a lot of fun and everyone enjoyed that too! Thanks for all of your help and suggestions!

The staff was very professional from our initial consultation till the end. My wife and I had a hard time deciding whether to go with a band or a dj. NYX provided a dj and a band and they were spectacular! Everyone was asking who was providing the entertainment. We booked the NYX Live show and it was amazing. The music really left a lasting impression with all our guests. Thanks to the musicians our wedding reception was a huge success! -

Howie, Sandra, and their team did an amazing job at our wedding. They had excellent suggestions for our play list and were really committed to keeping everyone dancing and enjoying the wedding. They were also honest about what was less likely to work (such as my husband's list of 20-some headband songs). Yet they were also sure to incorporate the aspects that were important to us. Sandra was very responsive along the way with suggestions, questions, follow up with our other vendors, etc.
When things got off schedule due to key family members' late arrival, Sandra and Howie were able to improvise in order to keep the flow and still fit in the important elements. Howie really got the audience involved and during the garter toss had us all at the edges of our seats. I would highly recommend Sandra, Howie, and their team at NYX Entertainment. -

NYX was amazing! Before I found NYX, I searched and searched for a band that could play everything I wanted really well, much less able to play everything I wanted..top 40s, r&b, hip-hop, sinatra, and 80s. I loved the energy of the band but wanted a DJ so I could have all the different types of music. I had no luck until I was referred to NYX who had the best concept Ive ever heard of...the concept is to have a DJ along with live musicians that play live music via instruments over the DJ's music, so you get the energy of the band, but get to hear any song you want as you still hear the original singer of the song...its was incredible! We had a drummer, percussions, saxaphone, etc...just imagine Sinatra with a live sax! I used MC Howie and he was so prefessional and sooo incredibly detailed...everyone kept saying how amazing the music was and the dance floor was packed all night! At one point, Howie started rapping the 80s music himself right on the dance floor in the middle of the crowd! NYX, especially Howie, was by far our best choice and I would recommend him to everyone! -

We had a fantastic experience with NYX and Sandra Teger! Thanks to them, our daughter's bat mitzvah was a huge success! The DJ and emcee we used through NYX were incredible and very entertaining. Andrew is beyond amazing. He came highly recommended, so I had high hopes, and he did not disappoint in any way. He makes you feel like you are his only event, he pays attention to every detail, makes you feel like family, and treats everyone at your event like he has known everyone for years. I plan on using him again at my next bar mitzvah, and would recommend him to absolutely everyone!! We had an amazing wedding night and we owe much of that to NYX - they were great!! I really did not have to worry about anything - I left it to them to pick out a number of the songs - introduction, cake, etc - and was happy with all of their choices. The team was really nice and very talented. All our guests were dancing and I think that's the most you can ask for!! As for the pre-wedding service - they were always there to answer any questions and were right on top of getting things taken care of. It was a wonderful experience overall! -

NYX Entertainment and Events is top notch. Our family has hired Howie and his staff on two occasions for our children's mitzvah parties. Both experiences were wonderful. They set a lively and fun tone throughout, and I consider their work the heartbeat of our parties. At each party we hired additional musicians for the hora. Howie showed great skill in seamlessly integrating these musicians with the DJ sets. He was so much fun to work with and it's obvious that his DJs and dancers love what they do. The kids AND adults had a blast on the dance floor. They even worked our party in the midst of a big DC snowstorm. True professionals. -

I hired NYX Entertainment & Events to handle my music during the reception. Sandra was so helpful and great to work with. She paired me up with Mario and let me tell you he was the best DJ I could have asked for! He met and exceeded my expectations and we had a blast at our wedding. Howie, his deejay and Sandra did an amazing job. They made the planning process easy and fun. They were very professional and were very organized.
The actual reception was more than a success. They had the dance floor packed the entire reception. Howie was our Emcee and was awesome. He created an itinerary that had a great flow and kept the energy up the whole time. Our guest still keep talking about how much fun they had. Young and old really enjoyed themselves.

Howie and everyone at NYX Entertainment was fantastic! We got an MC and a DJ from NYX and would make that decision again.
At the outset, about 8 months before our wedding, Howie laid out a plan that everyone would be doing 1 of 3 things at the reception: eating, drinking, or dancing. If they weren't getting a drink at the bar, they would be busting a move on the dance floor, & etc. Howie delivered on that promise and more. NYX had a helpful online planning system to lay out must plays, exact pronunciations of names, wedding party information, and all that good stuff. Once we entered that all in, Howie and his team were able to take it from there to cater everything to our needs. For the first 20 minutes of the reception, Howie was able to get 90% of our guests (of a 105 person wedding) on the dance floor, which I was reminded of again and again by our guest how big of an accomplishment that was. He was great at reading the crowd and keeping things going all night long. He even rolled with some of our more drunken friends calling him Pitbull (he bears a resemblance).
Howie was also really great accommodating us being kind of self-conscientious when we had to be out on the dance floor alone (first dance, parent dances), and was great about keeping those expected sentimental moments the perfect length and bailing us out when needed.
I would absolutely recommend NYX and Howie to anyone for a wedding reception.

NYX Entertainment & Events was perfect for our wedding. Mario, our DJ was wonderful, between phone calls and emails nothing was forgotten or left out. We asked for lots of upbeat 80's, 90,s and now type of music and he delivered. We planned on having a non dancing wedding, and it ended up being a dancing wedding. All the songs we asked to be played were played,(he even had to purchase a few for us) songs asked not to be played were not played! He was also very creative, we never ended up picking a song for the garter toss, and he had fun with the group and picked the perfect one. I felt as if he was able to read the crowd and play what fitted the moment. The biggest thing for us when looking for a DJ was we didn't want super loud music, we wanted it as background noise so people could sit down and talk without issue. The noise level was perfect,in the dance floor area it was perfect, yet you could hear it through the winery without having to yell. I am very happy with the services we received! -

My husband and I were MORE than happy with NYX. Everything was very easy before the wedding, as far as payment schedule and communication with the business side -- and the DJs were fantastic. The owner, Howie, went out of his way to make our event exactly the way we wanted, and even when a scheduling issue arose the week of our wedding with our original DJ, he made it right and took care of everything personally. I hired NYX Entertainment and Events for my son's bar mitzvah party (age 13) at Positano in Bethesda, MD. I had an emcee, DJ, and some dancers. They brought lights as well as light-up giveaways (rings, necklaces, hats, etc.). They were fantastic! We had approx. 60 kids of varying ages at the party, and every one of them had a great time! The emcee had games for the kids to play in between the dance sets. The dancers got everyone on the floor (adults too). The emcee oversaw the parents' entrance, the boy of honor's entrance, the Hora, the chair lift, the mother and son's dance, line dances, etc. The DJ played all of my requests. They really made this event a huge success! -

NYX Entertainment was completely AWESOME. Our wedding was the most fun party and Howie kept the energy going from start to finish. They are awesome to work with and have many options to choose from as far as wedding packages go. We chose to have them do our ceremony, cocktail hour and have the DJ/Band combo for our reception and it was phenomenal! All of our guests were dancing all night long and everyone continues to comment on how awesome our band was. Music was VERY important to us and we were very hands on about selections. They give you a login to their computer system that allows you to customize choices for 'must plays' 'do not plays' and 'maybe plays' which was a really great way to lay things out. You also fill out songs you want for key moments like dance with dad, dance with mom, cut the cake, toss the bouquet, etc... We told Howie what we wanted and more importantly, what we didn't want, and he took it from there and proceeded to make our wedding night one of the most fun parties EVER. Tons of fun from start to finish and cannot thank Howie and his team at NYX enough for being such an important part of our special day. Love, love, love NYX! -

NYX is the only DJ we contacted for our wedding after reading reviews on the website and talking to Howie, the person in charge there. He is a very energetic and responsive DJ that makes my husband and me feel we need him in our wedding to make everyone happy. And he and his assistant did it! All of our guests were happy and enjoying the music and dancing in the wedding. They even found the Chinese songs that we requested before the wedding! They are very flexible in responding to our guests' request of playing different songs. Anyway, We are very glad we found NYX and had them in the wedding. Thanks very much! -

We had DJ Mario for our wedding. My husband and I loved his personality and professionalism. He was energetic, personable, and really knew how to work the room. My event was fabulous thanks to Andrew and NYX Entertainment. Andrew took the vision I had in my head and made it a reality. We used the NYX5 for our wedding recently (ceremony[2] and reception[full]) and couldn't be happier with that choice. NYX seemed very different and we did not know what to exactly expect (the whole is it a band or dj thing), but in the end we are very glad we chose NYX. As promised they sound exactly like a full live band that has the original artist singing.
Howie was amazing - he promised to have the dance floor packed through the event and definitely delivered. We aren't 20 something anymore, our friends aren't exactly the biggest party animals, but Howie kept the party going the whole night. He was a perfect MC and kept things moving smoothly through the schedule - that he of course helped us outline beforehand. The whole planning process was made effortless with the website forms and Howie's advice throughout was extremely useful.
I'd not only recommend Howie for your wedding (or any other event), but I'd recommend any other vendor recommendation Howie has for you. He knows everyone and has probably been to every venue.
And the photo-booth we added on through Howie was a giant hit with friends and family alike. Seeing older relatives lining up for a photo on the side of the room in a viking helmet is priceless. -

NYX entertainment was absolutely fantastic at our wedding! From the first interaction with Howie to the end of the wedding celebration with Mario as our DJ, we couldnt' have been happier with their service. We booked NYX for both DJ services and uplighting for our wedding. Mario was an excellent DJ and we would HIGHLY recommend him and NYX for any event! He knew exactly what to say and do to get people on the dance floor, and we were pleasantly surprised to see even the 'shy' folks in our family get on the dance floor during the night....everyone had a great time, thanks to Mario and NYX. The uplighting was done perfectly as well as it complemented our overall theme and color scheme for our wedding. Our daughter's bat mitzvah was last weekend. What an amazing and fabulous party we had thanks to Team NYX! MC Russell was absolutely incredible... he lead a fantastic evening and was so good with the kids as well as the adults! Our dance floor did not stop the entire evening. The dancers were all wonderful... kept everyone moving, got people dancing who don't normally dance and were great with all of our guests, from the very youngest to the oldest. If you want a once-in-a-lifetime party, you need have NYX there by your side! -

They were the hit of the reception. Everyone LOVED them and they played just the right music all night. Howie is an amazing MC and got people to dance that I haven't ever seen dance before. NYX was phenomenal! You do not even need to give them a list of songs you want played. They just walk into the room, get a feeling for the crowd, and play hits that will have your guests dancing the whole evening!

Incredible Live Talent
We worked with NYX Entertainment for our December 2024 wedding and they were nothing short of phenomenal. Our guests are still raving about the NYX Live DJ Fusion experience at our reception and the incredible string artists who made our ceremony so special. Howie, Kitty, CRoME, Fred, and the entire team made our wedding event a priority, and we felt that in every interaction. Truly, none of our guests wanted the night to end and several told us this was the best wedding they've ever been to, and the entertainment was a HUGE part of that. It was an absolute dream come true. -

Everything at our wedding went off without a hitch thanks to NYX. The uplighting they provided was absolutely perfect and it really transformed the room, the color was awesome! All of the mic'ing and sound was great throughout the ceremony and for the toasts at the reception. Mario, our DJ, did an amazing job with the music and keeping the party flowing. We worked one-on-one with Howie to set everything up and he even came out to the venue and gave us invaluable suggestions. SO happy with our decision to book NYX! -

We saw this company do a live band at a friend's wedding and were in love! Unfortunately the live band wasn't in our budget (we highly recommend it) but we LOVED our DJ, DJ Shake. He was very flexible in that he met with us over the phone since we live in VA and the office is based in MD. From that meeting he asked all the right questions and really nailed our music style for our ceremony-everyone had a great time and the dance floor was always busy! There was some miscommunication and misunderstanding in the beginning as to when final meetings were to occur, but that is also partially that we had a long engagement :) -

We hired NYX Entertainment & Events for my son's Bar Mitzvah this past weekend. They were AMAZING. We attended an MC showcase event approximately 18 months ago and selected MC Chris to run our event. He did not disappoint! He worked with DJ Andre and Dancers TK and EJ. Chris had almost every guest on the dance floor for the entire party. The kids never stopped dancing. He knew almost every child by name as well as many of the important adults (grandparents, etc). Andre played a wonderful selection of music and the dancers ROCKED it all day -- I'm exhausted just watching them. I felt like this vendor was pretty expensive, but knew going into our event how important the DJ & MC are to throwing a great party. It was money well spent. There was not a lot of flexibility in rearranging their package options, hence the lower mark in that area. We will definitely be using NYX again! -

We had the Nail It booth at my daughter's Bat Mitzvah celebration and it was a huge success. Most of the girls had the opportunity to get as many nails decorated as they wanted. We were happy with NYX and they were professional. The DJ was awesome. He missed a few "must-play" songs but we had a lot on our list, and he went with what was right for the mood/timing. That would be the only thing we could say that wasn't perfect.
They did both the ceremony and reception music, so they can do both. The DJ arrived early to set up, which we were stressing about weeks prior. It all went off without a hitch and everyone had a blast! -

The company has a helpful website where you can enter your information- reception songs, wedding party, specific songs (mother/son dance etc). This was nice and helped to organize the day. The DJ did a good job but was not readily available prior to the date. We only had one consultation prior to the wedding. There were a few song mistakes but overall guests seemed to have fun. -

NYX Entertainment provided music for our cocktail hour and reception. Their staff is very professional and friendly. The 5-piece latin band that played our cocktail hour was wonderful and NYX was very flexible and accomodating in letting us select exactly which songs would be played during the one-hour set. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed with our DJ. Several details we had discussed prior to the wedding about specifics that we wanted, such as song selection, were not followed through as we had asked. Based on the price for their services, we were expecting a much higher level of quality. -

Howie is very charming and got our business right away within months of our engagement. Sandra (his sister) was completely disorganized and it took multiple emails to clarify things and even then, it took Howie to take the reigns to clarify them. We didn't hear from them for months and then urgently a few weeks before the wedding they kept bugging us to fill out their online form. My fiance and I spent hours filling it out. Then, when we finally were assigned a DJ 2 weeks before our wedding, the DJ told us that he doesn't even like using the NYX website and could we fill out a 9 page questionnaire including all the songs we requested.
On the wedding day during the ceremony the DJ had a full 2 hours to set up. During the ceremony the lapel mic went out within the first few minutes and no -one could hear the priest for 30min. No only that, the videographer was using the DJ's set up so the sound for videography got compromised, as well. Jeff not only didn't have back up mic but took another 20 minutes to set up a hand-held mic. He didn't announce ANYTHING, not even cocktail hour... took forever to get up to the reception hall to set up there. Several vendors called him a flake and were vocal about not liking working with him. Then he didn't properly introduce our toasts and only played 20% of the songs we spent hours putting together.
Worst DJ I've seen at a wedding... and unfortunately it was ours. Don't listen to ANY of NYX's promises. They take your money and don't deliver. The worst thing was, the DJ made a horrible comment during the bouquet toss about one of our guests coming out of her dress and I about lost it. Avoid the name Jeff Hulbert and NYX for hiring such a third rate DJ.
