Nyc djs was amazing!

I don't even know where to start! NYC DJ'S was amazing!!! As stressed as I was leading up to the wedding Danny made everything so easy. The day of ran so smooth and flowed so well. Danny was recommended to us by a friend and we are so glad that we listened to her. Danny had everyone on the dance floor the whole night and made our night perfect! He is professional, but fun at the same time. And he even put together the best grand entrance of all times! We gave him our idea and he took the time to edit the song, and add in special light effects. We highly recommend Danny for your event. It was truly a memorable day!

Highly recommend NYC DJ’S for any event!!

Amazing dj, completely rocked our wedding and would hire again in a heart beat

Holy crap, BEST...DJ.. EVER. I am very picky with transitions and songs and Danny hit every mark for us at our wedding. He was accommodating to not only our crazy requests but our guests. I will use him again just for parties, can't even find clubs who do the music this well. All my guests had a great time.

There are not enough words to describe how amazing our experience was with Danny and NYC DJ's Entertainment. His music for our wedding celebration was absolutely perfect. He not only left our guests along with ourselves wanting more, but he kept us on schedule. We highly recommend his company for any event. Danny is awesome, talented and incredible to work with. I cannot rave enough about how awesome Jason at NYC djs was at my wedding. He was professional, attentive, and a lot of fun. He was very accommodating and went out of his way to make sure every part of the wedding went without a hitch. Timing was impeccable and everything was perfect. He assured me that everything would go smoothly and indeed it did. I will always recommend Jason to any of my family and friends for their weddings.

Danny is the best!! He rocked our wedding. He was such a pleasure to work with from the moment we booked him. Danny met with us via Face Time to discuss when certain songs would be played, etc. He really made us feel at ease. Everything flowed nicely from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. We loved his energy and our guests had SO much fun at our wedding. I highly recommend Danny and NYC DJ's!

They were superb and they set up the mood. Everybody had a dance and they all enjoyed it. Our first dance also customized by them which was very cool and romantic.

Don't look anywhere else for a DJ, MC, Photo Booth, Up Lighting, Etc. These are the pros you want!! Danny and his team are Spectacular!! They really make the celebration come to life!! Could not recommend them more!!

Danny from NYC DJ's is simply the best!!! Our wedding was so incredibly fun and Danny was a true professional from start to finish. Being someone who values organization and efficiency, I found his website and client portal to be so awesome!! Planning and organizing the music for our big day was so easy. We chose not to create a huge play/don't play list and left a lot of the music in Danny's hands and we couldn't be happier with the selection of music he played. Danny/NYC DJs was fantastic to work with from start to finish. From our very first meeting we could tell that Danny had terrific instincts for how to DJ and Emcee a great party. He understood what we were looking for and delivered. We couldn’t have been any happier with him. As part of our RSVPs we gathered song requests from our guests, and he played every single song. Every one! He even played a Danish song that our guests from Denmark requested. He expertly understood how to arrange the playlist to keep people energized and dancing. The wedding was three weeks ago and guests are still telling me how much they loved the wedding – especially the music. People have specifically said that they enjoyed the acoustic covers he played before the ceremony started. I’d recommend Danny and NYC DJs to everyone I know.

We could not have asked for a better DJ than Danny. We found him through reviews of our venue which has a tricky audio policy. Danny had DJ'd weddings there before so we trusted he would know how to mind the rules while still giving us what we wanted. Our number one priority was that our guests have fun and Danny made sure that happened. Beyond just playing the types of music we requested, he's a really great DJ - mixing songs and keeping the energy up. We met with him once and from that moment on, felt completely taken care of. We highly recommend Danny and NYC DJs.

Danny was amazing!!! Since the first meeting, I knew I had to book him. He's professional, sweet, and very knowledgeable. He understood our love for music off the bat, even gave us some samples. He was very patient with me (I tend to change my mind alot) and was available to answer any questions I had. The form I filled out for my wedding was very easy and straight to the point. He even checked up on me throughout my wedding process. He definitely made my wedding a success. Even when things didn't go as planned, he was able to get things back on track smoothly and with a bit of flair. My guests thoroughly enjoyed him. He kept them on the dance floor all night. They still talk about him 'till this day. He will definitely be the first person I call for future events. He's like family to us now. You can't go wrong with NYC DJ. Danny made my wedding an event to remember.

Danny Farrell, the owner of NYC DJs Inc, is the absolute nicest, coolest, and most awesome DJ. He showed up early to our wedding and provided music for our cocktail which was so kind of him to do!! He also ran through the wedding with us a few days before and gave us tips on how to best work the crowd and tailor the schedule for our reception. During the wedding, he was so chill and flexible with all of our crazy ideas and changes. He also played all of our favorite songs and added great mixes as well. The lighting he provided was an energetic touch for our reception and we were also able to rent a large screen and projector through him. He made our wedding flow flawlessly and he kept our guests dancing. We had a dry wedding (without alcohol) and all the other vendors were impressed saying they have never seen such great energy on the dance floor at a dry wedding. :) and its all to Danny's credit.

Thanks for a great night! Going in, our greatest fear was that people would not dance at the wedding, but that was certainly not the case and we all had a wonderful time!

NYC DJs (Danny Farrel) was one of the highlights of our celebration at La Venta Inn. Working with Danny was so easy, and everything turned out perfectly. The crowd was on the dance floor all night, and our guests had such a blast with the photo booth. Danny played songs from the list I shared with him, and was on point with the first dance song that I meticulously requested. They provided us a scrapbook with all the photo strips taken along with messages from the guests - that was such a special touch. Thank you Danny and NYC DJs for such a fun night! We have so many photos and videos showing everyone having such a great time!

We couldn't have asked for a better DJ experience for our wedding!!! We are super into music and a full, partying dance floor was very important to us. Danny not only made that happen - with tons of compliments from the guests about how great not only the music was, but the DJ's ability to read the crowd - but Danny also was such a pro with everything from set up, to gathering our preferred (very specific) music preferences, to handling the ceremony music and any and everything sound and DJ related. Perfection. Book him.

Danny was absolutely incredible! He was able to read the crowd and use that to play the appropriate music. He also worked very well with my bridesmaid who sang a song during the reception. Days after the wedding we still have guests telling us how amazing our DJ was. This was a big decision for my husband and I because your DJ determines the overall flow and mood of the entire wedding. He kept the music and feeling upbeat at the right times but also knew when to slow things down. I couldn’t be happier with Danny! I highly recommend NYC DJ’s.

When I started planning my wedding, specifically when I started thinking about the DJ...I immediately thought of Danny Farrell. I had seen Danny DJ a few other events in the past and knew that he would be perfect for my event. Along with being a great DJ, Danny has a great personality so I was confident he would be able to get the crowd moving and participating. NYC DJ's was a pleasure to work with for our wedding! We worked with Danny and Oscar, who were both very friendly and professional. They handled both our ceremony and reception, and did an amazing job! Danny was super helpful with the planning and helping us decide on different options. Throughout the couple months leading up to our wedding, he would check in with us and see how everything was coming along and what options we might need.

We really appreciated how flexible and accommodating they were. We had a special requirement, needing a bilingual DJ who spoke English and Spanish to make both sides of our family feel welcome and incorporate both of our cultures. Oscar did an amazing job of incorporating both English and Spanish throughout the reception. The music and whole atmosphere was also fantastic! Our guests had a blast.

During our wedding reception, we had a number of special performances, including Mariachi, African Drummers, dancers, a singer, and a video (I know, sounds crazy.) NYC DJs worked with our performers to make sure everything went smoothly. They provided all the sound equipment, projector, etc and ensured that everything came together beautifully.

My guests had so much fun at my wedding, and that is due in part to Danny's ability to read the room and play the right music. He is very responsive, has great ideas and suggestions, and plays what you ask for. He was also responsible for lighting in the room which created some much needed ambience. He accommodated our change in ceremony music and change of location with no problem.

At the end of the evening, when most of our guests had left, my groom and I were standing alone on the dance floor deciding what to do next, when Danny puts on "our song." I got to dance my with my new husband to our song on my wedding night. It created a moment for us that I will never forget. And THAT, my friends, is the kind of attention to detail you want from a DJ.

My husband & I probably spent the most time trying to find a DJ compared to the other services needed for our wedding. We knew that entertainment could make or break a party so we wanted to spend extra time to vet through everyone carefully.

We first met Danny at a food tasting at Brookside in Pasadena. He is one of the DJs that they work with frequently. He played a good variety of oldies & trendy/upbeat songs. I was dancing in my seat the whole time. We decided to consider him in our DJ search. Our paths crossed again a few weeks later as he was DJ-ing the Wedding Show Weekend event at Brookside. He kept the beats going there too & also played some games to keep the crowd entertained.

Together, we curated a package that fulfilled all our requirements & was within our budget. Danny was very easy to work with, quick to respond, & attentive to our needs.

I had a LOT of questions regarding logistics with set-up but Danny was very patient. He also made some good suggestions for our reception timeline to make it flow better.

We incorporated a 'Song Request' on our RSVPs so we compiled those songs & a few other favorites into a playlist. Danny played ALL of those songs & a few other picks of his own that were within the same genre. A few times, he jumped on the dance floor to do the 'Wobble' and the 'ChaCha Slide' dance with our guests (old & young). I highly recommend him as an emcee as well because he does a good job of getting the guests involved.

All of our guests raved about the DJ. He even got the seal of approval from one of my bridesmaids, who danced all night. That means a lot considering she's a dancer/dance instructor. We loved all of the vendors we chose and Danny worked very well with each and every one of them too. He is very personable, enthusiastic, & a fun personality

From one bride & satisfied customer to another, Danny gets the job done right & keeps your guests dancing. Consider him and his team for your wedding/event/party!

DJ DANNY FARRELL...what can I say, this guy was SO great, he deserves extra stars especially for dealing with me while I was wedding planning. NYC DJ's was actually the first wedding vendor that we had booked, even before our wedding venue. We saw his work and knew that he would be a great fit with us! He's natural, professional, funny, not at all a cheeseball and had great communication. He also helped me book some live classical musicians for our cocktail hour and provided us with a projector. I am a very particular person and made a long list of must play songs and the transitions of all the songs, the wedding formalities was just flawless. Everyone loved our music and DJ Danny. It was really easy communicating with Danny for the 10 months to the wedding day. The day of, was just better than I could have asked for...Danny would come to us in terms of timing and asking us when we wanted to do certain things...we had a timeline that he had helped us come up with during a meeting a couple weeks before the wedding and all was executed as planned. It was really nice that he kept us in the loop for things and was able to roll with anything...if we needed another 5-10 minutes at any time, he was able to keep the music going. The light work they did was also awesome as well. My husband wanted the dance floor to turn into a club scene and it definitely set the vibe for a night of dancing. The up lights helped enhance the ballroom and it was nice that he had the light colors change as we progressed through the night. So happy with our choice to have Danny as our DJ/MC. Can't wait to have you at our next party!

I can't say enough good things about our DJ, Danny! He was AMAZING. When we started planning our wedding, my husband and I talked about the things that were the most important to us: the music and flowers (me, not him) :) We wanted our wedding to be a huge dance party with all of our friends and family so finding a great DJ was our biggest priority. We got Danny's information from our venue, and he came highly recommended.
Danny was great in the planning process as well. He was extremely prompt in responding to emails, and he gave us a detailed online checklist of songs to choose for certain parts of the reception. When we met with Danny, we told him our general ideas for the night and gave him some songs we wanted to have played, but that was pretty much it. We've been to some weddings where the couple basically gave the DJ a playlist: we didn't do that because he's the expert and we wanted him to be creative and have fun with it. We totally trusted him. Well, let me just say, he did not disappoint! The dance floor was packed the entire night! His song selection was spot on and he read the crowd and the energy in the room perfectly. I'm still getting compliments on how great our DJ was! In fact, at the beginning of our reception, one of my friends ran up to me and said, "Danny was our DJ at our wedding too!" I went to their wedding and it was ridiculously fun: I was on the dance floor the whole night!
If you're looking for an awesome DJ, book Danny! You will be so happy you did!

I hired Danny from watching his example videos from his website. I was a little apprehensive because I'm a control freak and normally like to meet my vendors before hiring them. Since I didn't live in LA I didn't get that chance. His website displayed his talents and packages better than any other company I've seen. I took a chance and I'm so thankful I did!
We did a lot of back and forth discussion months leading up to my wedding and he was the utmost helpful and prompt. He responded to all my emails quickly and also gave me suggestions to enhance the experience and I never felt pressured.
All and all, the execution of my musical dream wedding was perfection! Danny made my wedding!!! Not kidding!
From the perfect flow of the ceremony and onto the cocktail hour...our reception was a non stop dance party: exactly what I asked for. All my guests commented on the LED lighting, our amazing DJ, and the back to back dance songs that made my wedding an unforgettable party!
Danny is amazing! I will be using NYC-DJs for all my future events and will be recommending him to all my LA friends!

It was my husband's job to pick the DJ for the wedding and he couldn't have done a better job by choosing DJ Danny at NYC DJ's. The whole process was easy, Danny is extremely personable and a great DJ, and he also had so many additional services that really made his company a one stop shop for our wedding.

PRO:
1. Danny has a great personality which helps in keeping you calm throughout the planning process and well as setting a fun environment the day of your wedding. I loved that he was also our MC. He made sure everything went smoothly and wasn't overpowering/wanted all the spot light on him (like other DJ/MC's I've seen at some other weddings)
2. He has a music database online that allows you to hand pick your favorite (or do not play) songs.
3. What was extremely helpful to us was the "top picked" songs other clients of his chose for certain parts of the ceremony/reception. (i.e. garter dance song, father/daughter dance song, processional song). This was a great guide to us the last couple weeks when we were selecting songs for the ceremony and reception. When you look online a lot of the songs are older and we felt not appropriate for the vibe we were going for, Danny's list is much more current and fun.
4. He not only provides the music but can also add so much more to the ambiance of your wedding. We created a custom package with mood lighting, our name in lights, light designs, and he also makes photo montages for your slideshow! We honestly shopped around a lot for these mood lights bc it truly can transform any space but can be costly, his was by far the best deal in the area for the service. He also provided the sound system for our ceremony and music for our cocktail hour as well.

He is great at engaging the crowd and picking up on the right songs to play at the right time. He is super easy to work with and thorough...he has a detailed form on his website that is great at reminding you all of the details you need to provide him with, plus you can access his music library on the website too.

He was also great with accommodating some very specific requests from us (no being lifted during the Hora) and was a great emcee for our entire evening. Would highly recommend NYC DJ's.

Danny was incredibly helpful and supportive during the entire process. He was quick to respond to emails before the wedding, and provided amazing advice and solutions. During the event he had a warm demeanor (kept us feeling good and calm), and he is also just a really cool guy. Everyone at the wedding loved him, and we got feedback from a large number of guests noting that he was great! I should mention that we had Indian music as well as typical top 40 and old favorites, and he was able to mesh these together and keep everyone happy. He is a pro and the wedding reception a lot better because he was there!

Danny was AMAZING! I think the music/dance portion was the one area of wedding planning that made me borderline bridezilla-esque: I didn't want line dances or chicken dances or YMCA or anything too...I don't know...chintzy?

He lets you compile a list of your favorite artists and then plays both those artists and artists who have a similar sound. It made for the absolute best wedding music experience of my life (and I'm SO grateful it was for my wedding)!

I think I ran up to him after every other song to high-five him for his great work. I cannot recommend Danny and NYC DJ's enough!

Danny was fantastic. We wanted a very specific mixture of mostly dance songs that would be accessible for our guests, but with a light mixture of Latin and Salsa. From the moment we sat down with him, we knew he was going to be able to accommodate our needs and do what he could to make sure we felt good about it all. He has a great energy. Danny was a wonderful DJ! I initially found him online after looking at many different reviews. I emailed him and found that he was very easygoing and on top of everything. If you hire him for your wedding, you can be as involved or as hands off as you want. If you can’t think of specific songs to choose, he will step in and work his magic. His online template is very easy to use and he even has lists of the most commonly picked songs for each wedding activity. We had our wedding at Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach. He arrived early to set up and had everything ready with plenty of time to spare. From the ceremony to the reception, everything flowed flawlessly. We even had him do some wedding games and he was very energetic, running around the reception room getting guests to answer trivia questions. He is a very naturally fun person, and it comes out when he is entertaining. Everyone got up and danced at some point, including young and old. Plus, the silver lighting was excellent! We could not have asked for a better DJ. Thank you so much for making our day so special!!

Danny is a SUPER nice guy, very responsive, easygoing and fun to have around. He was absolutely fantastic - not just a good DJ with a spot-on sense of pacing and fun, but a genuinely additive presence whose great attitude made him a joy to be around. Requiring minimal direction, he perfectly captured just the right atmosphere and kept it going until party's end. We received compliments from so many of our guests - in praise of both his playlist (which was great) and his skill at seamless transitions. The photos from the wedding are physical proof of the fun everyone had dancing! ***Danny also did our wedding ceremony music, and hit all of the music cues perfectly - fading in and fading out the preprocessional music to the processional, and timing the recessional song perfectly to start the moment our lips touched! He was also flexible in providing microphones/audio for the bride's a cappella group performance. We also booked our photobooth through Danny/NYC DJs and that was fantastic too. We can't say enough!

We recently had Danny DJ our wedding on August 16, 2014 and I can't express in enough words how AMAZING he was, not only the night of our wedding, but leading up to it. He did a site check, met up again a few weeks before the big day to go over our specific requests, he was so kind and sweet while I sent him random texts of specific requests that we forgot to mention (and there were quite a few). He has great energy, a warm, fun & positive personality, he's clean cut but still has an edge which in my opinion is the perfect balance, he was just perrrrfect. He was on time and on the big day there was not one flaw. DJ Danny has become our family DJ! He did an amazing job at my brother's wedding, my cousin's wedding, our company Christmas party, and my wedding. Needless to say, we trust Danny to host an unforgettable night of fun and nonstop dancing! Each event our family has hosted has required different music needs, but Danny always has people (young AND old) out on the dance floor the whole time loving the music selection. Our dance floor for our wedding was filled with people for the entire allotted dancing time. My fiancé even said, "Wow, I have never seen so many people out on a dance floor doing the 'wobble'!"
Also, the form he has you fill out beforehand is so clear as far as what kind of equipment he will need and a list of songs/artists you both love and hate. I was so confident going into the wedding that he knew exactly what we wanted, and I was so pleased when everyone commented on how much they loved the playlist.
The final thing we love about Danny is that he does a great job hosting the event without being the center of attention. He is able to keep things running smoothly without even coming onto to the dance floor, which we loved. He knows the wedding day is about the bride and groom, and he keeps the attention on them at all times. Danny was absolutely amazing at our wedding, from beginning to end. He completely set the tone for the whole event. He had the whole wedding (young and old) dancing before we even started dinner and seemed to know just what to play at the right times.
We were busy with all the wedding planning, so only gave him the short list of specific songs for ceremony, first dances, etc, but Danny did a fantastic job extrapolating our tastes from there and from the short survey he gave us.

Danny did a great job at our wedding! To be honest, I was so mesmerized by so many things that I couldn't tell you all of the songs he played that day, but what I can tell you is that the dance floor was PACKED. All night. To the point where I probably should've been in a venue with a larger dance floor. He did a great job getting the crowd excited, all night there were screams and shouts coming from all sides of the room. He worked with my coordinator and made a game-time decision to post-pone the end parts of the wedding as the crowd was way too excited to dance and he didn't want it to die down with a huge break in momentum. He really has a special talent and was not at all over-bearing either that night or during the planning. He was a great MC, didn't speak too much, nor too little! He laughed and got everyone else laughing, he was really all in that day and I have the most wonderful memories of that night because of this. My only regret is that the wedding couldn't last 3-4 more hours, because with the momentum in that room I really think it could have!

The first time I heard Danny DJ I was out with my friends. He was so much fun, he had such a good sense of what the crowd wanted to hear and we were dancing all night long.
I knew we had to have him for our wedding.
From the first meeting I knew we made the right decision in picking Danny. He was so knowledgeable about the entire process that it made it SO easy for us to convey what we wanted for our day.
When it came to specifics there was a super easy place on his website where I could sign in and add songs that we wanted to hear as we thought of them. (Though I only ended up filling in the big songs like first dance or father/daughter because I trusted Danny to do what he does best with the rest of the night.)
We also asked Danny to travel quite far (we live in CA but were getting married in NE) but that wasn't a problem. Even when we ran into a snag renting equipment. Danny called around and talked to a number of rental places in NE to find what we needed.
The day of the wedding he was so great too. He was so much fun! he knew how to keep the guests engaged without being annoying. He knew what to play to maintain an amazing vibe in the room. He was so good at reading the room that at one point he even slipped in a few country songs (a request I had made though its not my husbands favorite genre) and since the timing was so great even my groom was singing along with Garth.
In the past I've seen DJ's at weddings turn it into "their show" and take the focus off the bride and groom. I never felt that way with Danny. He found a way of being in control and keeping the wedding on schedule while still making it personal and all about us.
We got so many compliments about Danny and we were so happy he could be a part of making our day so amazing.

We hired NYC DJ’s for 2 nights – our rehearsal dinner party and our wedding. He also did our videography and lighting.
Danny is amazing – he met with us beforehand to see what we wanted for our events. When the day came, he followed through on all of our requests – and more.
For our rehearsal party, we asked him to play nice background music, and he did – but since there was a dance floor at the venue, it seemed like our guests really wanted to dance –so he started putting on some great dance music (by great, I mean that everyone from 16 to 90 was up and dancing, and that is not an exaggeration!). By the end of the night, nearly everyone was on the dance floor. We didn’t expect such a pre-party, but our guests could not stop talking about how much fun our party was… and the wedding hadn’t even begun yet.
He is a great MC also. He made the guests laugh and feel comfortable without being over the top. He was a great mix of subtle and fun-inducing. One thing he and I talked about beforehand was that we wanted to keep the energy up for the reception – get people up and dancing early – not just sitting for hours listening to toasts and getting sleepy. He had everyone on the dance floor early and kept the vibe fun without exhausting the guests. So many of our friends commented to us afterward that they had never been to such a fun wedding where they all felt so included from the moment the reception began.
We are really excited to see the videography too. There were 2 camera guys who were covering everything – they even brought sliders and stedicams! Plus, Danny spent a day filming my husband and me before the wedding -We can’t wait to see the final documentary-style video. He sent us a teaser of the video in the style of a movie trailer – we love it!
I would recommend NYC DJ’s--Danny is a true professional with a warm personality who is on top of every detail. And the team he brings with him to the events are also really friendly/ professional.

Being a movie producer I'm difficult to impress creatively but Danny was amazing. He was so courteous and completely prepared. Danny took the time to listen to what vibe we were trying to create at the wedding and totally delivered. He was also very conscientious of how important it was to show up and breakdown on time as our venue had a hard in time and out time. The wedding was at The Adamson House in Malibu and we had about two hundred guests. Danny not for one second missed an opportunity to keep the party going. Without a doubt I was definitely enjoying his music right to the end -- they had to pull me, my wife and our dearest friends off the dance floor-;) It was so much fun to see so many people continuing to dance the entire night without pause. In short, you are lucky if Danny is available and he will bring the cool to the party as well as the good entertainment and music. Well worth hiring and definitely a great person as well. Our wedding was a dream and not one detail fell apart. Danny in many ways was the glue for much of the wedding. Danny was incredible! Throughout the entire wedding planning process, the ONLY thing I was worried about was the DJ: they make or break the night! I was adamant about two things specifically: no organized line dances and no costumes on the dance floor. Danny went ABOVE AND BEYOND. Literally every song he played got me excited - and I wasn't even on the dance floor for most of it! He was so good at knowing just what to play and when. In addition to being the best at what he does, Danny was so flexible: everyone was having so much fun and he was doing such a great job, that we asked him if he could stay an additional hour and invoice us - he didn't even hesitate! One thing I know is true, your DJ can make or break your night. Our good friends Shannon and Matt got married in the summer 2009 and we absolutely loved the DJ at her wedding. He played great songs, had a professional look, and kept all ages on the dance floor. When we started looking for our summer 2012 wedding, we knew we needed someone we could trust and would do the same for us, and Shannon RAVED about Danny. We started the process with Danny, meeting at a Panera near our house, just over a year in advance of our date. The first meeting was very informative; he provided cost information, some ideas for how ceremony and night could go, got an idea of what we were looking for and just got to know each other’s personalities to ensure it was a fit. He wasn’t pushy about contracts or committing and just left the ball in our court to ask more questions and let him know if we were interested. We were on the books by the end of the week without needing to look any further. His deposit was very reasonable and had a straightforward contract.

During the course of the year he sent us information sheets and stayed in contact. We can’t thank Danny enough for his help with music ideas when we just had no idea, reassuring our selections or suggesting others that would flow better, and most importantly, his overall responsiveness throughout the process. There wasn’t an email that went unanswered, and all were prompt and complete.

The day before the wedding, Danny wrapped up all the last minute details with me over the phone and again just provided just a little more reassurance. We had Danny for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Everything went just as planned as far as music through all events. Danny is also able to think on the spot and make modifications if unforeseen events occur and timelines change. We had a family emergency that led to a delay before our grand entrance that changed timing, and Danny was quick to make slight modifications and get us back on track without our guests noticing anything missing. He continued to keep the dance floor full all night, and even today as I hear songs he played, I smile remembering our special day!

Danny was an absolute gem! He was very responsive and flexible with my schedule. I actually had two opportunities to see him in action, because he DJ'd at two of my husband's cousin's weddings and that is when I scouted him (haha). He played all the music I wanted and never questioned anything. He actually enjoyed the songs I chose, which was kind of nice to hear. Overall, I had a great time with the music he played and so did he and I think that is key when choosing a DJ...you want him/her to enjoy themselves!

NYC DJs was the best! Danny Farrell was very professional and friendly, and most importantly played the exact kind of music we wanted. We have received so many compliments on the DJ -- everyone LOVED the music and danced all night long. We met with Danny once in person and emailed several times before the wedding day. We described our music preference and gave some examples (including "love it" and "hate it" examples), and he was able to put together a night's worth of awesome music just from those few guidelines. He has a ton of popular music and avoids the really cheesy stuff like the chicken dance, Macarena, etc. He also did a great job coordinating the wedding party introductions, 1st dance, etc. Our 1st dance and the bride/FOB dance had a few tricky parts (one needed to start several seconds into the song to avoid a weird introductory piece, and one needed to be cut off early to avoid a never-ending dance), and Danny managed this wonderfully. Danny also has cool lighting options and offers reasonably-priced package deals. I would definitely recommend Danny as a DJ - the music was one of the best and most memorable parts of our reception.

We just had a somewhat non-traditional wedding reception without grand entrances, first dances, toasts, speeches, or bouquet tosses. But Danny rolled with it and kept things lively with his humor and personality. We had him lead little games along the way too, and he was able to engage everyone -- all ages and backgrounds.
Danny was also very receptive to our ideas and even improved on them. Our friends all seemed to genuinely enjoy themselves at our wedding; Danny deserves a lot of credit for that. If I ever have to plan a big party or function, I'd call Danny again.

Danny’s GREAT! He did an amazing job during our wedding. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE told us that the music at our Wedding was great! I've been to a lot of weddings before and I never thought the music was good. Then again I'm really picky. But we received sooo many compliments on Danny! One girl ran up to Danny and asked him to give her a list of the music that was being played! LoL!!! I had a lot of difficult tasks for Danny as well and he executed them perfectly. Danny was so great. He worked within our budget and on the day of our wedding in Santa Barbara our expectations were blown away in terms of the equipment he brought and the amount of work and attentiveness he put in to make everything function smoothly. Danny was always accessible before the wedding. He took my long list of requested songs and when to play which ones and never ever gave me an attitude to make me feel like a crazy bride like some other vendors did. He was happy to purchase some songs that he didn't already have. He also helped us pick our song for me to walk down the isle to when we were panicking about it the last week before the wedding. He was good at making announcements and staying on top of what was going on. Our taste in music is sort of specific and he did a great job of combining our favorite songs with what our guest would like. Everyone had a really good time dancing. Danny was easily our favorite vendor to work with, especially since music was one of the most important things to us. Thanks Danny!

The BEST party DJ ever!!! He was witty, funny, and played the best jazzy, 1940's, 1930's, and 1920's, classy music ever. Very nice tasteful sophisticated style. We had some very high end folks attend the wedding: retired White House leaders and some Ivy league published big wigs (also retired) who were in their 80's and 90's. They were dancing having a ball. Our teenagers and young kids from today's scene were also having a great time dancing and had their music played later in the evening. It was great how the music was divided so that everyone was considered and no one was left out of the fun! BTW...Great with acting out plans too....We had our "Minister," pretend he was part of the wedding group and the DJ played the Pink panther song as everyone searched for the Minister...Finally we asked for a volunteer and the groomsman teared off his shirt...while underneath was the "Minister," outfit...The DJ was awesome...he played along with music that went along with the whole skit. GREAT JOB!!! GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR!!!

Danny was our DJ for our recent June wedding. We met with Danny several months prior to the wedding. We found him to be extremely friendly, easygoing & knowledgable about music. He did a wonderful job at our reception. He played a variety of music that appealed to the variety of ages there. We would highly recommend him!

Danny of NYC DJ's is da bomb! He is the best DJ ever. He doesn't "MC" and isn't cheesy at all, he knows what to play and stays away from the cliche wedding songs. If the bride doesn't want a song played and tells him, he won't play it (even if requested by a guest like the Electric Slide was at my wedding :) We referred Danny to other friends who were getting married and the guests at both their wedding and ours said he was the best DJ ever. You HAVE to have him as your wedding DJ. You will NOT regret it!

They were funny, fantastic, and really got my guests up and dancing,...Dennis was amazing.....I remember he came outside while we taking pics just to tell me how pretty I looked and how much fun we were gonna have. Then he gave me a kiss on the cheek....I LOVE THESE GUYS!!

Danny was a great DJ! I interviewed 5 different DJs and I quickly felt that Danny was going to be the one for our wedding. As we live in Hawaii but had the wedding in California, all our planning had to be done by email and phone. Danny was always responsive to my questions and concerns. He played a great selection of music that everyone commented on how much they enjoyed. I would definitely recommend Danny as an awesome addition to any party!

Danny is a fantastic DJ. We wanted music to only set the mood and Danny delivered. He kept the night moving along well, and it definitely helped make the night memorable and fun. And, he's a great guy who's super helpful in crafting the Playlist based on what we wanted. We'd definitely recommend him

DJ Danny did such a truly phenomenal job for our wedding!! From prep to close he was incredibly professional, personable & timely, anticipating all of our needs and addressing any and all concerns. Even when we went slightly "off schedule" with some of our guest speeches, he was right there to roll with the changes and helped to make our event flawless, seamless & a truly perfect day for everyone! We can't thank him enough and, of course, would highly recommend him for any and all of your entertainment needs - a true gem!!

Danny was wonderful to work with and was accommodating to our needs for music and entertainment. We met in person to go thru what we wanted for our wedding day yet we stayed in touch throughout the process to make sure we were on the same page. One of our guests had complimented us that this was one of the only weddings where he had seen that most of the guests were dancing most of the night...which is a compliment to our dj! Thanks danny!

I have to admit, I first called NYC DJ's because I lived on the same street as their office and thought that it would be easy to set up a meeting. Well, it was easy to set up a meeting and both Danny and John were really friendly and easy to talk to. I was a little worried about hiring them because most of my other vendors came highly recommended by my friends. However, they gave me references and also sent me a demo of their music playing from another event. I was not disappointed! I think it helped too that I had an open bar, but I was shocked that so many people were dancing at my wedding! (Usually at Chinese weddings, no one dances and it's like pulling teeth to get anyone over the age of 50 onto the dance floor.) To my delight, my friends, my parents, my grandma and all their friends were all on the dance floor! John managed to play music that everyone liked and made everyone happy which I don't think is an easy feat!

The only warning that I would put out there is that NYC DJ did the mikes for my ceremony and there was some feedback because their mikes were not compatible with the mike that my videographer was using. As a result, I don't think that anyone heard any of our vows. However, because that has no impact on their DJ services I still highly recommend them.

We were on the lookout for a DJ who could gage the crowd, keep the party going, and have great mixes/transitions without being cheesy and Danny fit the bill. His website makes it easy to listen to sample demos, and then add your songs to your custom website (and those do not play songs as well). Danny has a relaxed attitude which was perfect for us and never did he put on those cheesy DJ announcements during the reception, which was something we were definitely looking to avoid. He has a great music selection and was able to put together a 90s mash-up at our request which everyone loved at the wedding (think a set of 90s brittany, aqua, back street boys, nsync, etc.). Danny also made sure to play all our must play songs earlier on while everyone was still in party mode. It was also fantastic to see everyone on the dance floor for over an hour straight-no break-just dancing, singing to the music, and having a good time. Unfortunately, we did have a hick-up with our bridal party entrance and first dance song: the wrong songs were played for the entrance and our first dance song (which was a mash-up we created) somehow got lost. Not sure how that happened since we did meet with Danny the week of the wedding, went over everything, and e-mailed the song files. Luckily, we had it saved on our phones and were able to hook-up the phone to Danny's PA system. Since we kept cool, most people didn't notice there was a problem. He did definitely apologize, and it was a first for him, but since it happened at our wedding, we're giving an overall rating a sub 5. Sadly we hate doing so, but have to considering the situation. Otherwise, we would give Danny a 5. So if you are looking for a DJ who can read the crowd and mood, manage to play my club-dance-party songs and yet my husband's billy holiday (during dinner), manage to come across as laid back and not cheesy, and actually spins, then Danny is your man.

A little more expensive than we anticipated- but they were up front, flexible and responsive. Danny was a great communicator and worked well with us. We are very excited about the fun atmosphere at our wedding.
