My husband and I had our delayed wedding reception at Nova 535 in May of 2022 (after getting married in a private ceremony in November 2021), and we could not have been happier with how it turned out. Our coordinator April and the whole team brought our vision to life and allowed the evening to flow seamlessly and beautifully. I really cannot overstate how incredible April and the whole Nova team was. First of all, the venue is gorgeous and so versatile. It has the industrial chic vibe that I love and is beautiful to start, so any decorations are just a bonus. It's really the perfect spot in that it includes dressing rooms and both indoor and outdoor spaces, so you can make your day however you want it. We got so many compliments on the space and how beautiful everything looked. The decor and set up was so easy thanks to April and the team. Everything looked exactly how I imagined it, but better. The Nova team and their preferred vendors are outstanding. April made me feel at ease from the moment we first spoke, but especially the afternoon and night of our reception. She was an absolute rockstar and I'll never be able to thank her enough for taking care of us and executing the whole night flawlessly. I was so nervous about how everything would turn out because we were doing things so unconventionally (and showing several videos including video of our wedding ceremony and a video of the speech given by my husband's parents' who live outside the country) but April, our tech whiz Chris, and our DJ Jaey pulled it all off perfectly and on time. Because of Nova's great system of using preferred vendors, there was very little I had to do - essentially after I hired them they all coordinated amongst themselves and required very little from me. The process really was so easy, and the result so amazing. I planned it all without a wedding planner and from a distance (I'm originally from St. Pete but live in North Carolina now) and the online portal and google drive system made everything so unbelievably easy and low stress. I honestly never thought I could plan and execute a wedding, but thanks to April and the Nova team, I was able to, and it turned out even better than I envisioned it. If you want a beautiful, low stress wedding with outstanding staff and vendors. do yourself a favor and have it at Nova 535.

Highly Recommend For Out Of Towners!
Had our wedding there this past weekend (May 2025) and cannot recommend this venue enough! We are from Virginia, so were fully relying on the wonderful reviews NOVA 535 had, and the venue did not disappoint! The team is wonderful to work with. The virtual tour you can access ahead of time lets you see so much that we truly felt comfortable booking our wedding there without seeing the place in person. The wedding coordinators are fantastic- we loved working with April and AJ and they made the experience that much better.

Beautiful Ceremony, Great Private Spaces, Flexible and easy to work with!
April was a fantastic coordinator to work with for our wedding ceremony at Nova- she set up multiple meetings and worked with our planner to make sure the day went smoothly. Everything went perfectly- sound lighting facilities bar service. It was a great ceremony and we really appreciate the whole Nova team for making it happen!

Nova is THE Place to Get Married
Nova and its staff did an all around flawless job in hosting our wedding. From planning to execution, we had a wonderful experience. Our guests all said it was one of the coziest and chillest weddings they have ever attended. Nova made everything so memorable and incredibly easy and stress free. Location is perfect. Yes a thousand times over I would recommend Nova 535 to any couple looking for a beautiful venue for their wedding in St. Pete. AJ and her team made the day of the wedding the most stress free experience for us. They took care of everything from decorations, set up, clean up, and everything in between. All of the staff were extremely friendly and charismatic. They made sure that my husband and I had everything we needed and more. If you are ever in need of a venue for a wedding or other event I highly, highly recommend Nova!

Absolutely perfect venue!
We got married at Nova 535 and it was absolutely perfect. We were able to have our ceremony and reception all in one location and use the food trucks and other vendors we wanted. The staff was so friendly and helpful every step along the way. Last but certainly not least their recommended DJ Jaey was beyond fantastic! Such a beautiful space!!
My husband and I was extremely thankful to have our wedding at this beautiful venue! Our wedding was a destination wedding, so everything planning wise was done virtually or by pictures. We had a venue in place a few months before our wedding but we never saw it in person. When we finally had an opportunity to come down to Florida from Georgia, we went to the previous venue and hated it...it was so run down and just terrible. My fiancée at the time and I was completely lost and did not know what to do. We had planned our whole event around this venue, and it was not what we were looking for AT ALL. I immediately went looking for a beautiful space at 4 am the morning we were going to leave and I came across NOVA 535. I knew that we HAD to come see it because it was so beautiful in pictures! We were able to see the venue so we went there that same day. Firstly, we LIVED for the murals on the wall leading up to the venue. I already had a great feeling about the venue because of the feel of the atmosphere. As soon as we stepped foot into the courtyard with the bamboo and lights...we already knew that NOVA 535 was for us. We immediately fell in love with it and we had not even went inside. When we went inside however..we were BLOWN AWAY. It was so beautiful and it was not even set up at all. Fast forwarding, my husband and I immediately told the manager of our interest and we went into the planning processes. From
the very beginning, they worked with us every step of the way on every aspect, especially planning wise. The pricing was also very fair because this venue is so beautiful and worth every penny. The spacing was gorgeous and finally on the day of our wedding, we were able to see our reception space for the first time...it was set up sooooo beautifully to the point of happy tears! We had worked hard for a year to make this reception happen and to see everything happen right before our eyes was breath taking! We also had a smaller guest count for our wedding however you could not even tell due to how it was set up! It was so intimate and beautiful. However I know this venue can host even more people due to the size and space! I will edit this post with more pictures once they come back!
You can literally have both your ceremony and reception here, however, my husband and I decided to have our wedding on Treasure Islandbeach, then used Rollin' Retro's bus transportation to transport the wedding party and guests back and forth between the Nova and the beach. We want to thank Mr. Mike, Ms. April, and EVERY SINGLE ENTITY who made our dreams come true. We love you guys so much and you are apart of our family!!
If you are looking for a venue in St. Petersburg, you better not look any further than Nova 535!!! Thank you so much, Nova 535!!!!

I knew I wanted to get married at Nova many years before I was engaged. I was born and raised in Kenwood, so Nova just feels like home to me since it’s part of my community. I had the chance to go to a Cocktail Tasting there a few years ago and fell in love. Ruby was very responsive on all my emails leading up to the wedding day. When I got passed to April, it was such a wonderful experience and this woman knows how to run a wedding! The whole day was like a dream, they were so coordinated and on point with so many things, making sure my husband and I were taking care of! April even help me change into my reception shoes! If I wanted something tweaked with decor or any detail, she was on it. My wedding day was perfect. My guest are still talking about how wonderful the wedding was. I would do it all again in moment with confidence knowing they took great care of myself, husband and guests!

An absolute Dream Venue
We got married at Nova 535 in March 2023. The journey all the way up to the day of was Stress free. They communicated beautifully and executed our dream ceremony and reception the day of. ❤️ Rain forecast was calling for 90% rain the day of out wedding which was to be outside in the Bamboo Courtyard.. after 17 months of planning an outdoor wedding, we decided to move the ceremony inside. The Venue nailed the execution and It was GORGEOUS! We could not have been happier! We did food trucks (this Venue is PERFECT for food trucks and they were a huge hit!)
We worked with April most of the way and she is super sweet and knowledgeable. 15/10 recommend Nova for any event!

Planning a wedding is a lot but Nova535 was with us every step. They worked with us and made sure our special day was that and more. The venue is breath taking and words can’t describe the staff. If you’re considering this venue for your wedding….do it, you won’t be disappointed!! Ruby and April were fantastic to work with throughout the process, and provided very quick responses to all of my questions and concerns. April was my “day of” coordinator, and I can’t say enough good things about her! She kept everything running smoothly and on time. If there were any problems, we didn’t know about them! She really made sure everything was perfect for our special day. The venue itself is really beautiful and unique, we got so many compliments from our guests on what a cool place it is. I would highly recommend this venue, especially if you’re looking for something a little different than a barn or a banquet hall.

Nova 535 was perfect for our wedding! The team at Nova made everything so easy, and our day was seamless. The indoor/ outdoor concept was great, and the bamboo garden was gorgeous for photos! The lighting is fantastic, the decor is awesome, (and a lot included in the price) and the Nova team is wonderful! Our bartenders day of felt like old friends, and the in house DJ, DJ Jaey, is AMAZING! Don't think twice about planning your wedding at Nova!

This venue was unreal. Our day of planner, April, made the day so easy for us. They helped get everything set up, switched the room over from the ceremony to the reception. Worked great with all our venders. I don’t think I had an empty drink in my hand all night. Our bartenders were amazing with the open bar. Our guests were well taken care of, everyone enjoyed the corn hole and jenga outside in the gorgeous courtyard. It was an absolutely amazing day made possible with the outstanding event staff. We planned this wedding in about 60 days and I would do it all over again at Nova.

Beautiful venue… pricey but worth it!
We booked the month before the start of the pandemic, which obviously threw a wrench in the planning. They worked with us even through a one year postponement and covid concerns and Ruby was really responsive and helpful.

One of my favorite venues!!
I photographed a wedding at this venue and can't speak highly enough about the experience. The venue as a whole is stunning inside and out. The exterior is unique and colorful while also being spacious whether your event is small or large. The interior is wide open with high ceilings and two floors. And I especially loved the lighting in the outdoor space that added an extra touch for the couple exiting. The venue team was also great at communicating with us throughout the event. We highly recommend them!

We loved working with NOVA for our wedding. Our day of coordinator Stephany was amazing in the planning process - had an answer for every question, helped to set everything up perfectly on the day of, and truly made everything run so smoothly. We also loved DJ Jaey! Our guests were really out on the dance floor thanks to him. Plus all of the NOVA staff were incredibly friendly and helpful!!! They helped set up and take down everything as well as just making sure everything went smoothly. Overall our day went perfectly and I really think the venue staff were the reason!

Perfect Venue for a St Pete destination wedding!
Nova 535 is a hidden gem. From the moment we entered the courtyard, we knew we wanted to get married there. Ruby made the planning process seamless and there was a ton of room for our guests to feel spaced out during covid. We were able to bring our favorite restaurant, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, in to handle our catering and the dueling piano players from Felix and Fingers had plenty of space to create the fun atmosphere we wanted. Our guests were impressed with everything about the venue and the proximity to the hotels of downtown St Pete made it easy for everyone to uber and enjoy themselves!

I cannot day enough great things about Nova 535!
Nova 535 was such a dream to work with, not to mention how beautiful the space is! From our first tour to the day of our wedding, Nova was so helpful and easy to work with. Ruby is amazing and extremely quick to respond to any and all questions. She was always readily available to help with anything that we needed. Ruby was not able to be there on the day of our wedding and we had Maria instead. Maria had been given all of the information for our wedding and she was on top of it! She kept everyone on schedule and made sure that we had no issues the whole day. I did not have a day of planner and was a little worried, but the Nova team went above and beyond to ensure everything that day was perfect. All of our guests loved this venue too. We had plenty of space for our 130 guests and they loved the unique look which includes a great courtyard. If you are looking for a venue that requires minimal decorations, is easy to work with, and provides a memorable space for your wedding Nova is your spot!

Ruby, Chris and staff are the BEST! We had our wedding here in February and I can't say enough positive things. Ruby went out of her way to make little extras touches that made our wedding that much better. She took a lot of the stress off my shoulders by handling so many little things that myself or my husband could not get too! My husband and I didn't feel like we were nickel and dimed for everything and really couldn't beat the value of the experience Nova 535 provided us. Nova 535 is everything you want in a venue and then some! The space on its own is breath taking and can work with any theme. Then add in the fact that they provide so many services and becomes a one stop shop for your bar and such you can’t beat them! Our day of coordinator Stephany was a breath of fresh air on a day that can be a little overwhelming. Everyone loved the bartender as well! We could not have asked for anything better. We’d choose Nova again if we had to start over!

Nova 535 was the PERFECT venue. My husband and I fell in love with it the moment we set foot inside. We met Ruby, our day-of coordinator, to tour it and she solidified our choice even more. She was heaven sent as she answered a million of my questions while also being thorough and efficient on the day of. Every single vendor we chose had worked with Nova prior and you could tell - it was as if everyone was family on our big day. Seamless and flawless are words I'd use to describe our wedding. Nova has such a great reputation that vendors were happy to be apart of such an occasion. We just had our wedding here a week ago and I could not of asked for a better venue. The staff were all so accommodating and professional. The wedding coordinator and day of coordinator are all so amazing. She was there the whole night and always made sure we had everything we needed. If I could give this place 100 stars I would !

Nova 535 is an incredible venue. My wedding could not have been more perfect!!!! The staff at Nova are like nothing i've ever seen. Set-up, transitioning room to room and breakdown... I didn't have to do anything but enjoy my day! Bartenders were amazing. DJ Jaey was amazing and extremely talented, He really knew how to keep the night flowing with great music. Everyone were so attentive to me and my husband it truly was an amazing experience.

Amazing Venue
I had such an amazing time with my wedding. Ruby was so attentive and helped with all the little snags and mishaps during the big day. Set up was done very quickly and every staff member was professional. Very great deal too for money and budget as most was included in overall price.

This wedding venue was the most beautiful place to get married. Couldn’t be more happy with our decision. Will forever love this venue and have the best memories. We knew we wanted to book Nova for our wedding the second we saw it in person. The pictures online don't do it justice! We wanted a wedding where everyone had fun but still looked great and Nova delivered! We had our ceremony in the bamboo courtyard, cocktail hour up stairs, and the reception downstairs. While guests were at cocktail hour, the courtyard was "flipped" and our food truck set up. Nova knows what they are doing and it all ran so smoothly! Ruby was great and answered all of my many emails during the planning process very quickly. All of the other staff members were super friendly and really took care of us! During the planning process, other people had told me that Nova was an expensive venue so I was expecting a lot of hidden fees. However, that was not the case at all. All of their prices are listed on their site and they are very upfront about it which was great. Nova really helped make our wedding day perfect and I wish I could go back and re-live it all again

We loved the building and the court yard, the decorations, all of that is amazing! The owner was so nice too! We loved that it felt like a party space and not your traditional wedding, very modern! Our guests all loved how unique it was!!

My (now) husband and I had our wedding ceremony in the bamboo courtyard. The wedding then moved inside to their amazingly cool event space for the reception.
Every single person at NOVA 535 was so sweet to me and my husband. Ruby, the coordinator assigned to us by the venue, was a lifesaver throughout the entire wedding process. The entire bar staff were so cool, fun, and friendly. DJ Jaey, the DJ who was assigned to us, was also a lot of fun and totally got our vibe.
I had so much fun and was so incredibly happy with my experiences at NOVA 535. This space is your own blank canvas. It was actually a little overwhelming how customizable this venue was, but Ruby was able to guide us. NOVA itself had a lot of experienced staff already assigned to us to make the day work as smooth as possible.
Many of our guests still mention how unique and fun our wedding was. Almost all of that praise should go straight to the lovely staff and amazing event space of NOVA 535.

This place is so unique and beautiful. My guests loved the atmosphere and commented on how naturally beautiful it was. We had our ceremony in the outside courtyard and didn't decorate a thing. The bamboo and market lighting make it simple yet elegant. Ruby the coordinator is a BOSS. She is amazing, never let her leave! She handled our HUGE family and made sure I never panicked and everything was perfect. She was amazing. Bar staff was very professional and kind and the whole thing was perfect. My only complaint (it's a bit nit picky because it drives me nuts in photos) was the wrinkles in the linen on the tables. In all of my head table photos it is very obvious that they were thrown on the table. Just a heads up for future brides!

Michael Novilla, the owner, handled our wedding personally. He made sure every detail was exactly what my wife and I wanted. He was absolutely incredible to work with in planning what was the most amazing night of our lives. Even during the reception his eyes were on us making sure we had everything we needed at the drop of a hat. His vision for entertaining is like non other. I would absolutely recommend Nova 535 to anyone looking for the most epic event our their lives! He is organized, laid back (which helped me calm down), and knows exactly what he was doing. If you have any doubt just go meet him yourself and within the first few minutes you will know exactly why he is in this business.

We used Nova 535 for our wedding this past weekend and we couldn't have picked a better venue. Nova was actually the first venue that we considered and we picked it immediately after seeing it. We were both very glad that we did! It's a very unique space with an amazing atmosphere. We had our ceremony in the bamboo courtyard which was beautiful and had the reception inside. We received compliments all night about the venue which everyone seemed to love. Most importantly we were very appreciative of the staff that came along with Nova. The bartenders and barback staff were very friendly and professional. DJ Jaey was fantastic and played exactly what we were looking for, blending mixes of rock, dance, and latin music perfectly throughout the night. Chris was very supportive and helpful from the very beginning of the afternoon until the end. Of course, the person who was the highlight for us was Ruby, the event coordinator. From the moment we sat down with her, we felt very confident that she had everything under control, which she did! Absolutely everything from start to finish went perfectly. If there were any problems along the way, we didn't know about them because Ruby was on top of everything. She responded very quickly to any questions that we had and was flexible and supportive of all of our ideas, even the more "non-traditional" ones. After the wedding, my Wife and I talked for about an hour in the hotel about how perfect everything was. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would recommend Nova to anybody who is getting married in the area. We can't thank you enough!

There are not enough words to describe how pleased I was with the service I received from NOVA. One of the best things about this venue is the fact that they have EVERYTHING you need on site, from the planner to the DJ to the sound and lighting to the decor. They also have something for every budget. My fiance and I chose a Sunday wedding because it saved us on the venue rental.
Before the wedding, Mike, the owner, worked with us personally to be sure that we had everything we needed before we were handed off to our venue manager. We were greeted with warm faces and kind words throughout the entire process. We never felt like our questions were a bother and they were always answered quickly and thoroughly. Chris, the light and sound tech was a dream to work with. He drug out a giant 17ft ladder and within a few minutes transformed the space into our dream space. Our tables were loaded with clear cylinder vases in varying heights and though they were included with the set up at NOVA they looked like a million bucks!
My fiance and I have been together for 10 years so we wanted to be SURE we chose the right location for our long awaited nuptials... our ceremony took place in the bamboo garden... a hidden gem in the middle of a busy city block... with the surround sound speakers every single one of our guests could hear our every word... It was a dream come true. Due to circumstances out of our control neither one of our grandmothers were able to make the wedding but Mike, Chris and team NOVA helped us set up our tablet so that they could witness the ceremony first hand... it was such a blessing.
On the day of everyone was on point. The Bar staff, Batman, Craig, Ashley and Jason were amazing and when it came to the music, the House DJ, DJ Jaey (along with DJ Kraze), kept our guests rocking alllll night long. What an amazing DJ! I could NOT have asked for a better wedding venue. This was the perfect start to a perfect forever! Thank you all!

When my husband and I began looking for a venue, I knew I wanted something more "non-traditional" and unique. When we toured Nova, I knew this was the venue for us as soon as I stepped foot inside. It's such a beautiful venue - very artsy, unique, eclectic, everything we were looking for. We had our ceremony in the bamboo courtyard and the dinner and reception inside. It was such a wonderful evening and this venue made it absolutely perfect. Much of our guests raved about it and we couldn't have been happier with our decision - well worth the money spent!! Michael and his staff were absolutely amazing to work with and so accommodating. Our venue manager, Ruby, was a gem! She was super helpful along the way in the planning process, answered all of my questions, and made sure everything went smoothly day of - I couldn't have done it without her. The staff at Nova 535 went above and beyond for our wedding to be the most magical day of our lives! Everything was seamless with Nova's help, and family raved over the uniqueness of the venue! I brought bins of props and decorations to be used and the wedding coordinator Melissa took everything off my hands and made the event just as I imagined! Even more amazing was her packing things up and everyone helping at the end of the night. My husband is a musician and Nova was very accommodating with their sound system and lights as he sang a song for me. They were also very accommodating with the few handicap family members who needed use of the elevator with an escort. It truly was a dream come true to be married at Nova. As soon as we saw the place we fell in love with the atmosphere and Nova really helped make it happen for us!

It was love at first sight! As my fiancé and I walked into Nova our eyes lite up! We didn't have to go on any other tours after we visited Nova 535!
The owner Michael was so helpful with our initial tour and filled us in on everything that was included!
I also loved that their online website had the price broken down and easy to know if we could afford it before going on a tour!
After we booked, we were assigned a event manager, Ruby, she was amazing! She helped us plan every single detail (planning from Hawaii and a different time zone made thing difficult but Ruby made it possible!)
Everything was flawless and beautiful! I got so many compliments about how beautiful and dreamy the venue was!
We also loved that you got to use the entire venue that night! From the inside spaces to all the outside spaces!
I understand how this venue, they have perfected the small details that really do matter!

My husband and I were looking for a unique event venue with lots of character for our wedding on 12/13/15. We definitely found it at Nova! It is a gorgeous event space with wood floors, exposed brick walls, and the best public restrooms you will ever see! Michael, the owner, gave us our initial tour. He was very nice and showed us all that Nova had to offer, everything from the bar to the lighting. We were hooked after that and booked the place almost immediately. Nova is such a beautiful space it needs no decorations or frills. The place is perfect just the way it is. Ruby, the event coordinator, was a rockstar. She answered all my neurotic emails and texts. No matter how small the question, she had an answer or a solution. She was fantastic. She came up with great ideas that never would have crossed my mind. Jaey, their resident DJ, was awesome! My husband and I were a tad late coming up with the music for our wedding, and by a tad I mean the day before! Jaey was very chill and patient with us. He is a very cool guy. Chris, Michael’s brother, was at our event and introduced himself immediately when the bridal party and I arrived and seemed more than willing to help with anything and everything. The rest of the staff did a great job setting everything up and I didn’t have to worry about a thing the whole night. Many of our guests didn’t even know about Nova and were very impressed with the space. We made a great choice by picking Nova to host our wedding. It is a unique space with great ambiance. We couldn’t be happier.

Guests raved about the unique space as well! Ruby, the wedding coordinator, was wonderful to work with. She was quick to respond whenever I had a question. She was also very reasonable. We ran into a couple bumps in the road but she always managed to fix things and make it work in our favor which is true customer service. On the day of, Ruby was awesome! This is such an awesome and unique space, and it really fit my husband and I's style and vision. My favorite thing about it was that the venue is so beautiful on it's own that we didn't really need to spend that much money in decorations or "prettying it up." It was also great that they had the DJ, Day of Coordinator, Security, Valet Guys and Beverages taken care of. All staff members are amazing! I also chose NOVA because they offered a craft beer selection from local breweries. My husband and I are from St. Petersburg and we're big craft beer drinkers so this was really important to us and a huge selling point. Ruby, the day of coordinator, was a pleasure to work with. Super responsive via email and very organized. Everything went so smoothly the day of that I can honestly not thank her enough. My favorite part was that my mom, dad, sister, husband, in-laws and I could actually enjoy the wedding rather than running around coordinating everything on our own. House DJ, Jaey, was great too! He kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. I got a ton of compliments from my guests on how organized the wedding was and for just how beautiful and unique the venue was. So many people have told us that it was one of the best or the best wedding they've ever been. If I could do our day all over again, I'd definitely go with NOVA. Amazing experience!

Michael and Sheilyan 05/03/15. From the moment you walk into nova it really is breathtaking. We loved the bamboo courtyard and chose to do our ceremony out there. The inside is exposed brick floor to ceiling, exposed beams and duct work, hardwood floors throughout and lots of bathrooms. We had our cocktail hour upstairs and reception downstairs. Everything was perfect. These guys really know how to do events. From the first day we met with nova they made everything easy. We met with Michael who had an invoice for us in 20 minutes. The bartenders were professional, the DJ, DJ JAEY was awsome. He worked with us on our strange choices in wedding music and had the timing down perfect on every song. Ruby, who was our event specialist was just amazing. She made sure we stuck to our timeline and when we went over found ways to make everything just fall perfectly into place. She kept contact with Sheilyan weeks out and answered all questions and concerns. When we walked into the place and saw it for the first time it was far more beautiful than i ever expected. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get married.

NOVA was the perfect spot to host our wedding. So many of our guest complimented us on the venue and flow of the evening. The bamboo courtyard made a lovely backdrop for our ceremony and downtown St. Pete is very picturesque. NOVA provided a lot of items that I was able to decorate with, that was a big help! I am so pleased with how everything turned out. The supernova suit was perfect me and my girls; the guys enjoyed having their own space to hang out in.
I worked with Melissa the event coordinator and Jaey the DJ, WHOA was I blown away with that duo. I can’t say enough good things about them, those two really made our wedding over-the-top special. Overall, I felt so confident in Michael and his team. They are pro’s in what they do and know how to run an event. Thank you Team NOVA! Our dream wedding wouldn’t have been possible without you.

Nova 535 was the perfect venue for our daughter and new son-in-law's wedding ceremony and reception. They were so easy to work with and the staff is so impressive. Ruby was amazing. As the parents of the bride, she was able to ask us questions during the event without being intrusive. She was so calm and efficient. She took care of EVERYTHING! We had a sit down dinner inside for 200 and the ceremony in the courtyard. The bars were quick and the bartenders were friendly. The DJ was perfect. He was classy and kept the evening moving. The huge dance floor was filled to capacity. The bride and groom did a sparkler exit through the courtyard. I can't wait to seethe pictures. When it was all over and we were mentally and physically exhausted Nova's staff and Ruby helped us make quick decisions on the breakdown to get us out of there ASAP. The day and evening were perfect. You can't go wrong with Nova 535!!

On just our 2nd venue go see, when we walked into Nova, we immediately knew that this would be it. Nova is AMAZING. From the beautiful bar, the exposed brick, iron stair cases, and bamboo courtyard, it is a completely transformable space. They have a great staff and in-house vendors; and also a preferred list to choose from, but also allow you to create the wedding you want by bringing in your own (approved) vendors. The entire process was so easy. Nick and Michael with Sales were so friendly from day one and even opened up early on a Saturday morning so my out of town family could see our venue-to-be.
Ruby Thomas was our wedding coordinator and she was such an angel to work with. She is knowledgeable regarding all the ins/outs and can and cannot do's at Nova535. She made the whole process and day of so easy and stress free. If we needed anything, like magic, it happened right away - even if it meant doing it herself. Great to work with, easy to communicate with, super sweet, and very good at what she does! Thank you so much for making it the wedding of our dreams!

Having our wedding at Nova was the best decision we could have made!! The venue looked so beautiful and the staff was extremely professional. Our wedding coordinator, Ruby Thomas, is a dream!!! From beginning to end, she was excellent to work with. We had to make a last minute change to move our ceremony inside and she handled it seamlessly. Throughout the entire evening, she was so helpful and fun to work with. Everything went very smoothly and we had the best time ever. I would recommend Nova to every bride!!!

Our St. Pete Baby Boot Camp group were delighted to use the indoor NOVA 535 space this morning. The space was absolutely beautiful and inviting. As soon as I walked in my mind began thinking of what event I could have there! As well as other friends who host events! The guy who let us in the building (I can't remember his name) was very nice offered us drinks and was extremely accommodating.

Wow!!! Michael helped us create an amazing day for my daughter. From a very unique venue to all the final touches.... it was AMAZING! Our family and friends will be talking for a long time to come. Nova is a very unique venue with great atmosphere, award winning bathrooms, beautiful marble fully stocked bar, and a gorgeous bamboo lined outdoor patio. The bridal and grooms suite upstairs were perfect. Michael went above and beyond the call of duty. Free champagne to the bridal party in addition to his attentiveness the entire night. DJ Jay was also awesome! Don't hesitate to use him. My son in law, being a musician himself, music was a huge part and the theme to their wedding. DJ Jay listened to their wishes and performed exactly as they requested.

Only place like it in St. Pete! My wedding turned out exactly how I envisioned it. I didn't want anything that screamed "Florida" like the beach or a hotel on the beach and Nova was perfect. Really urban and cool and they also support local St. Pete vendors which is a plus in my book!

We loved the overall atmosphere and vibe of Nova 535 for our wedding. Every guest raved about the inside and outside appearance. The space is truly unique and makes you feel as though you're in your own world. Our wedding was outside in the garden, then moved upstairs for cocktail hour, and then the main floor for dinner. The bar was available upstairs and downstairs which was great for guests so they didn't have to wait too long for drink service. Donna and Melissa helped us through the entire process and made everything easy for us to make the day run smooth. We loved Nova and would highly recommend them for any event! Thanks again!!

I heard about NOVA through a friend so I went and checked it out as a potential spot for our wedding and I absolutely fell in love with it! The whole atmosphere is just amazing. Mike the owner is always involved every step of the way and is extremely personable. He's so professional and is willing to work with you with any issues you have. Ruby is the coordinator of NOVA and she is incredible! I have no idea what I would've done without her! She's so easy to get a hold of whenever you need her and she doesn't miss a beat!!! I would definitely recommend NOVA to any and everybody. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!

My dream come true. I thought this venue was out of our reach. Joe & I went to 32 different reception sites (I may be a little off my rocker). Nova was number seven on that list. My heart was there for the remaining 25 venue visits. In the end, you have to listen to your heart.
Michael was amazing to work with. He takes pride in his work and it reflects in the finished product. He responds in a timely manner. I felt like a queen the night of our wedding. Nova is #1 for a reason. Guests are still commenting on how awesome the bartenders were that night. If you want perfection, you should choose Nova. If you want a unique venue, you should choose Nova. If you want to worry about nothing and make memories with your family and friends, you should choose Nova.

What a wondrful place to hold an event. I've never seen a more unusual place. The staff was excellent and attended to every need, we also had guests with handicaps and they couldn't have been more attentive.
Words cannot describe how PLEASED we were with the venue. If you're planning an event, this is the place, Glamour,Glitz and everything in between. All of the efforts of the staff did not go unnoticed. I would reccomend to anyone.........Truly 5 Stars........

What did NOVA do for me? Made me look like a million bucks in front of both my family and hers. I can't say enough for the venue and staff. We had nearly 200 guests, huge cake, massive catering plan, massive decorations, and Melissa kept everything running like a dream. My sister told me afterwards how impressed my Dad was with the wedding we were able to put together, which was huge to me. Thank you NOVA! (and we're planning to do our 20th anniversary there too!)

My wedding was held here on 11-9-12 and it was a dream come true. I searched high and low for a venue for my wedding, not wanting the typical outdoor, beach, ballroom, Florida wedding. The second I walked into Nova 535, I got the feeling I had been waiting for. Warm, inviting, and intimate. It was the perfect place to hold my modern, chic wedding to the man of my dreams. Donna was so helpful in booking the venue and making the package fit into my vision and my budget. She was always available to answer any questions I had along the way. Melissa, my wedding corrdinator, was out of this world. She is amazing at what she does. She made my wedding dream a reality and everything ran smooth from start to finish. I cannot say enough good things about her and her team. In all the chaos of a wedding, she holds it together without breaking a sweat!!! DJ, Jaey kept the party going all night long and played a great mix of music for all the guests to enjoy. We hosted our wedding at NOVA, and couldn't have had a better experience. We had to postpone our wedding due to a death in the family, and the staff at NOVA were extremely helpful and accommodating during the process. Kristin, our wedding coordinator, was incredible. She went above and beyond to make sure everything went off without a problem. Our family raved about the venue - from the staff and service to the decor - everything was perfect. When I initially got engaged, I had no idea where I wanted to have my wedding all I knew was that I was looking for a unique venue that everyone would love. I started searching for different places around the Tampa Bay area until finally I stumbled upon Nova 535 in the middle of the night. I woke up my fiancée and told him that we had to get married here, it was so “us.” I quickly called up Donna and scheduled a meeting with her to scope out the place and get pricing for everything we were looking for. When we walked in there I think we both fell in love – the brick walls, the fun art, the rooms upstairs, the awesome bathrooms downstairs, the venue is just spectacular! I especially loved the fact that they provided a lot of the things we needed for the wedding – tables, chairs, liquor, DJ, day-of coordinator, valet parking, etc.
On the day of the wedding I could not wait for the reception, my husband created the gobo and it looked awesome on the wood floors. DJ Jaey was so great, I couldn’t have picked out a better DJ myself. Melissa was on top of everything throughout the night and was basically invisible during the reception. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an extremely unique venue and great service. Donna and Melissa were truly awesome to work with and very professional throughout the process :)

Everything about NOVA 535 is great for a unique, fun, easy, and memorable wedding. My partner and I have nothing but fantastic things to say about the venue and the staff. Our contacts at NOVA, Melissa and Donna, went above and beyond to make sure our day was special. We were initially attracted to NOVA because we wanted a fairly out of the box event but didn't want a cookie cutter wedding and NOVA delivered for sure. Most of our guests couldn't believe NOVA was as beautiful as it is. We utilized the outside space for our ceremony and definitely recommend it! Contrary to what a previous reviewer said (who I really can't believe based on our experience) - Donna and Melissa are quick to respond and ALL of our vendors loved working with the staff and space at NOVA.

Choosing NOVA 535 as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions that my husband and I made in regard to our wedding. Beyond the stunning decor and ambiance of the venue, everything about NOVA 535 was fantastic.
From our first meeting with Michael we knew that we were making the right decision. If I had a question, Donna would reply to my phone calls or emails immediately - it was fantastic! Melissa helped to ensure that every detail was in place, and she was so easy to work with. On the day of the wedding, Ashley was there - there just are not enough words to explain how absolutely wonderful she is! She kept me so calm and collected (admittedly not an easy feat!), and she went out of her way to make sure that everyone was taken care of. In a humorous moment during my father's toast, he realized he was giving a toast but did not even have a drink in his hand. Ashley hurried and ran a glass of wine out to him, and everyone applauded! Such a fun moment and a testament to how she is constantly "on the ball." :)
NOVA 535 really thinks of everything - and I think that our wedding was an absolute success in large part because of their attention to detail. I would highly recommend them to everyone for any future event.

Nova 535 is hands down the most unique, beautiful, stunning, fun, and memorable ceremony and reception venue you could ever want!! My husband and I booked Nova when we lived in Miami, and were suddenly transferred to New Orleans! We thought about trying to move the wedding to NOLA, but are SO glad we didn't. There really is nothing like Nova out there.
The whole staff was amazing, they worked so hard and were with me every step of the way. Having to complete all my plans from afar was challenging and I couldn't not have done it without the amazing talent of Melissa, Donna, and the whole Nova team. They even sent pdf files of the floorplan to help me visualize.
It was so important to me to have a wedding that represented my husband and I, nothing cheesy, no tacky carpet- I really wanted to avoid that whole "rental ballroom/ hotel convention center" feeling that SO many wedding venues are. Nova was PERFECT. All of our guests couldn't stop gushing at how cool and amazing the space was.

The facility itself is beyond amazing and gorgeous and beautiful, etc... but the real gem about this place is the staff. Donna worked with us from day 1 to make sure we were getting every detail we wanted and was more than helpful with anything and everything we asked of her. Melissa and Ashley were with us on our wedding day and made everything go off perfectly as planned. It was such a pleasure working with all of these awesome ladies and made our wedding experience so perfect because we didn't have to worry about a thing. Every detail was was fine tuned and the schedule was right on down to the minute. Nova was the most amazing backdrop for our photos and didn't really need much decoration because it such a gorgeous venue to begin with. From the brick walls to the wood floors and the wrought iron railings, this one of a kind place was honestly my favorite part of our wedding, besides my handsome husband of course! If you want a unique venue and terrific experience like we were lucky to have, you'd be silly to not choose Nova535 as your venue. We loved it so much we chose to have our reception and ceremony there, and it worked out perfectly.

Nova 535 was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding and reception. We searched high and low for a non-beach, non-hotel, non-cliche wedding space in Tampa Bay. Nova hit the mark, and was so very much more!
The building/event space are impeccable and the overall atmosphere is top notch. We are from the North East, and many of our guests kept commenting that they could not believe they were in Florida upon walking in the doors. It seemed like a slice of an Art Gallery in SoHo or the Village in ambiance and design.
The art pieces displayed, the multi-dimensional lighting, epic sound-system, and gorgeous appointments are all lush and clean in concept. From the table settings, to the sleek couches and seating areas, to the great upstairs cocktail area, Nova truly is a remarkably elegant space.
We would highly recommend Nova to anyone looking for an open, inviting, and engaging venue to hold any event. The flexibility of the building itself in use of space and its proprietor's willingness to accommodate almost any idea, truly makes it an easy choice for anyone looking to have a modern wedding reception.

Nova does not look like much from the outside but it was an absolutely beautiful place for our wedding. It is so nice to have everything in one place. We had our ceremony outside in the courtyard, cocktail hour upstairs in the loft and the reception down in the open space with dancefloor. It is a great break away from the traditional ball room were so many weddings are. It is modern and beautiful and the DJ and wedding coordinator that are built into the price are absolutely amazing. DJ Jaey played everything we requested, flawlessly and communicated with us throughout the ceremony to make sure we were happy. Ruby, our event coordinator was available for us to communicate with for months before our big day. She was so helpful leading up to the big day and even more so on our special day. She ran around making sure everything flowed perfectly. She is full of personality and really knows what shes doing. We were very pleased with the whole experience of having our wedding at Nova 535.

I had been to Nova for an event a few years prior to my wedding (and to meeting my husband!), and my first thought when I looked around was “I want to get married here!” I never wanted anything beachy or outdoorsy for my wedding. I’ve lived in St. Petersburg my entire life – you can never count on the weather! The atmosphere here is amazing; it was exactly what I was looking for. It was first class all around. What I really loved about having my wedding here was the package. Bartenders, DJ, coordinator, valet all included, and customizable! DJ Jaey was great! I had several requests beforehand and he listened to them all and offered suggestions when I needed it. Our coordinator, Ruby, was fantastic! She helped make everything run smoothly when I was stressing out, and we definitely couldn’t have done it without her! My guests kept telling me how beautiful the place was. Everyone had such a fantastic time. You will not regret having your wedding here! Thank you to Michael, Ruby, Jaey, and EVERYONE there who made my dream wedding a reality!

What a beautiful and eclectic venue! We only had our reception here. This place is definitely for a couple that does not want the "ballroom at a hotel" or "country club" type venue. Don't let the outside fool you, this place is a diamond in the rough. The staff are professional and on top of it! Along with the staff, the owner also goes WELL out of his way during the planning process and the day of to ensure everyone, especially the bride and groom, are happy and well taken care of. Our glasses were never empty! Another major plus is that the DJ booth is up on the 2nd floor overlooking the dance floor and main room. It definitely helps (especially when you have an awesome DJ) when he can see the mood and what everyone is doing to keep the party moving all night! We have been getting rave reviews about what a unique venue it is and about the entire experience!
The only gripe would be that this venue is a bit pricey; however, for the most part you get what you pay for.
We are SOOOO happy we chose the Nova for our reception venue! It surpassed all of our wildest wedding dreams!!!

Nova 535 was the perfect place for our wedding! The minute we walked in the door, we knew this was the place! The atmosphere is so classy, yet has the party feel as well. Everyone of our guests were amazed by Nova and had nothing but great things to say about the place. The staff at Nova are fantastic! They are all so helpful and are there to make sure your event goes perfectly. Melissa is the event coordinator on site and she was fabulous! She made floor plans and time lines and made sure everything flowed smoothly. I love Nova 535 and I could not have imagined having our wedding and reception anywhere else. It definitely is the #1 place for weddings!
