We had a wonderful time at our son’s wedding.

The food was excellent. The chef was able to take into account peoples food needs and preferences. The staff for the kitchen, dining and activities was terrific/very polite and responsive. Rooms and grounds were clean and well maintained. Lots of space in the dining area and lots of places to hang out in event of rain. Strong recommendation.

WOW!!!! I can't believe we were crazy enough to get married at an overnight camp, but NorthBay made it possible. Ryan and his team were SO accommodating - I don't think they ever said "no". They were really easy to get in touch with, and come onto the site whenever we needed. The rooms were clean and comfortable for our guests. The food was *awesome* - not just good for a wedding, but overall great food. The kids staffing the dining hall for the weekend were well mannered and hard workers. The camp was an amazing place to get married - great fun during the day and beautiful memories at night. A wedding at NB is a lot of work (they don't do many of them), but if you're a DIY type, it is one of the coolest places you could ever get married.

If you are looking for a summer camp wedding (or just a wedding in a beautiful spot) this is the nicest venue from New York to Virginia. With a mile of Chesapeake beach front, this property is both gorgeous and packed with activities for your guests. It has ziplines, boating, a ropes course, a giant swing over the bay, rock-climbing walls, a huge gym, a frisbee golf course, and a large theater. But NorthBay's best asset is definitely its staff, which will bend over backwards to make sure that your event runs smoothly.

With a large guest house overlooking the bay that is reminiscent of a four star hotel, 17 hotel style rooms, and airconditioned & carpeted cabins - the NorthBay facility seems more like a retreat center than a summer camp. But your guests will still have to make their own bunks beds!

The food is really top notch (much better than hotel food) and the catering team is willing to work with you to work with the dietary needs of your group and your budget. For example we needed some vegan dishes but didn't want to the deprive the meat eaters of local Maryland crab cakes (and a whole pig roast and a tenderloin!) and Northbay came up with the perfect menu for us. Not only was the food delicious, the catering cost was a fraction of local hotel and other caterers in the area. Also, you are responsible for bringing your own alcohol, so you save a ton of money without the catering mark-up on drinks.

An added benefit is that NorthBay is a non-profit organization with the primary mission of providing public school children with outdoor/environmental education. So, for me, I got the best of all worlds - the most fun wedding ever (my guests can't stop talking about how fun camp was) and giving money to a non-profit whose mission I believe in.
